#MAGFAB: The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple Star Halle Bailey For GLAMOUR’s Global Covers!

Gracing four covers, GLAMOUR U.S., Mexico, Germany and Spain, 23-year-old Halle Bailey is about to step into her own as an actor in not one but two high-profile remakes of beloved classics, THE LITTLE MERMAID and THE COLOR PURPLE. Expectations are soaring, but Bailey is more than ready.

On internet videos of young Black girls gleefully reacting to an Ariel they identified with: “When I saw those for the first time, I just cried. I was sobbing uncontrollably. The fact that these babies are looking at me and feeling the emotions that they’re feeling is a really humbling, beautiful thing.”

On relating to Ariel: “I really hope that I put my own stamp on her character by showing more of her vulnerability. I felt like I could relate to her growing up in a big family and having older sisters to guide you, and having a father that’s very protective and overbearing at times but loves so hard.”

On hair stylist Camille Friend making a transformation that entailed dyeing Bailey’s roots red and wrapping her locs with hair the same shade: “[Ariel still] has red hair, because that’s a very iconic part of her, but I really did admire the fact that because I’m a Black woman and I have locs, [the producers] wanted to incorporate that into Ariel’s look. They’re both women of color, so I felt very comfortable. They know how to take care of me and my hair and makeup. I’ve been on sets before where that’s not the case.”

On keeping the details of her personal life discreet:  “It’s really funny how people look at you [as] still being this young girl, still being this innocent, untouchable thing. I appreciate that as I venture into adulthood, I’m able to make my own decisions. For my peace and my sanity, I have to keep that private.”

On not letting attention get the best of her: “Mentally, sometimes it’s really difficult being in this industry knowing that there are so many opinions [about] you and what you’re doing, or what you should be or what you could be doing better. People sometimes put you on this pedestal. They forget that you’re a real human being. They forget that you have feelings, that you cry.”

On her purpose: “The awards and the accolades and the people complimenting, it’s all great, but what [am I] here for really? What am I doing to give it back to God? What am I doing actively to be a better person every single day?”

#RHOA: Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Marlo Hampton Says Prayers and a ‘CPA’ Are Needed for Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann Amid Divorce Drama

Words of wisdom. Marlo Hampton offered some advice for Kim Zolciak-Biermann amid her divorce from Kroy Biermann.

“It’s awful to hear the news of them getting a divorce. I was super surprised,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 47, said of her former costar’s breakup during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “The only thing I could say there ... a whole bunch of prayers are needed and a CPA is needed. That’s it.”

Hampton and Zolciak-Biermann, 44, both appeared on RHOA over the years. However, the Games People Play alum revealed to Cohen, 54, that she hadn’t kept in touch with the Zolciak-Biermann and last ran into her while at the airport some time ago.

Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Zolciak-Biermann filed for divorce from the former NFL player, 37, after more than a decade of marriage. The pair share four children: sons Kroy “KJ” Jr., 11, and Kash, 10, and twins Kaia and Kane, 9. Biermann also adopted the former reality star’s two daughters from previous relationships: Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21.

News of the pair’s split came shortly after speculation sparked that they were facing financial hardship. In February, Us confirmed that the duo’s five-bedroom Georgia mansion was in foreclosure. An auction of the home was scheduled that month but was later canceled by the law office of Brock & Scott, PLLC.

“The financial burdens have been a strain on their relationship,” an insider exclusively told Us earlier this month of the former couple, who also reportedly owe over $1 million in back taxes, per TMZ. “Between the tax debt and other financial stresses, it’s been difficult. The tax debt was the straw that broke the camel’s back in their marriage.”

Neither Zolciak-Biermann nor Biermann have commented on their financial situation at this time.

Following the announcement of their split, an insider told Us that the duo are still cohabitating in their home while they try to “avoid” each other as much as they can.

A few weeks after their initial divorce filing, Zolciak-Biermann filed a new motion to have the former Atlanta Falcons player drug tested. She claimed to have witnessed Biermann “smoking marijuana” and had “serious concerns for the safety and well-being of the minor children while in [his] care. She is fearful that the children will be exposed to [his] drug use.”

According to court documents obtained by Us on Monday, May 22, Biermann, for his part, filed paperwork requesting that his estranged wife undergo a psychological evaluation, alleging she had a gambling problem.

“They’re playing tit for tat,” a source exclusively told Us about the dueling docs.

#MusicNews: Teyana Taylor and Wyclef Jean tapped as headliners for 2023 Harlem Festival of Culture

Back in 2021, The Roots’ Questlove got behind the camera to put a spotlight on the iconic Harlem Cultural Festival, which took place in 1969 and boasted performances from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, and Sly and the Family Stone. The result of the Philly talent’s work was the critically acclaimed Summer of Soul, a documentary that subsequently won an Academy Award in 2022.

Just prior to Questlove’s Oscar win, a team led by Musa Jackson, Nikoa Evans, and Yvonne McNair announced the Harlem Festival of Culture, which was explained via Instagram, is a “reimagining” of the aforementioned celebration.

“HFC will deliver experiential entertainment and economic development programming at the nexus of live music and entertainment, a vibrant cultural destination, and innovative community impact,” the statement read. “The annual cultural celebration will feature indoor and outdoor music concerts, influencer dinners, moderated discussions, and film screenings hosted at live music and dining venues throughout Harlem and neighboring communities.”

On Tuesday (May 23), the 2023 lineup for the Harlem Festival of Culture was revealed, which sees Teyana Taylor and Wyclef Jean as the main headliners. Other notable artists like Cam’ron, Doug E. Fresh, Coco Jones, Jozzy, Fat Joe, Ma$e, Muni Long, and Remy Ma are also on the bill, making for what’s sure to be an amazing mix of hip hop and R&B across generations.

McNair, who acts as the event’s technical and talent producer, further explained the reasoning behind the upcoming extravaganza and its participants. “For this inaugural year, we were very thoughtful and intentional in building what is an amazing lineup that aptly reflects the incredibly unique legacy that is intrinsic to the village of Harlem as well as the breadth and brilliance of Black music and culture,” the co-founder said via press release. “Ultimately, HFC is our love letter to Harlem, and we’re excited to grow it into a landmark cultural experience that encapsulates all the things that make Uptown the nexus of innovation, cultural expression and a place of true community-building.”

Check out the official flyer for the 2023 Harlem Festival of Culture below. It all goes down July 28 to July 30.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj And Yung Miami Are In A War Of Words Over ‘Gay Slang’ And Diddy Got Dragged Into It

On Wednesday, May 24, Yung Miami teased an upcoming episode of her Revolt talk show, Caresha Please, with Summer Walker, due to air tomorrow, May 25. Alas, that episode will likely not live up to Nicki Minaj’s reaction to the teaser.

“*Hits Diddy to advise him that a young lady on a show that appears on his network seems to have ‘borrowed’ a very popular #QueenRadio catch phrase* Puff, who representing u these days chile?” Minaj tweeted in response to Miami’s trailer. “I got my sh*t drafted in my HEAD B!CH @YungMiami305 talkin bout u got into some thangssss. “Nicki @NICKIMINAJ what’s really the problem??? cause I definitely didn’t get that from you LOL,” Yung Miami promptly responded. “‘let’s get into some thing Chile’ actually is a gay slang Lmaooooo.”

That tweet was followed by another from Miami aimed at everyone following along: “Y’all b*tches stfu and get tf out my mentions with that dumb sh*t tf.” Nobody can claim that she’s not a clear communicator.

Meanwhile, Minaj fired back at Miami’s defense with, “Caresha now you know damn well [six cry-laughing emojis] ‘gay slang is the first go-to nowadays. Let’s discuss it on #QueenRadio chile. If not, I’m hittin Puff right now. You know he used to manage me right? Now it’s my man my man my man [cry-laughing emoji] Puff what up? Hit my line chi @Diddy.”

Minaj also posted a Twitter poll with the message, “Talkin bout ‘gay slang’ caresha please! Let’s ask the gays ms B*tch!!!! @YungMiami305.”

Miami said she’s “ready when you are Ms. b*tch” to join Minaj on her Queen Radio, to which Minaj said, “*stops typewriter* *Looks at the first legal draft* *rips it up* *Hears puff desperately calling my line* *Doesn’t answer* *gets my questions ready for Ms Caresha*”

Diddy hasn’t tweet a peep so far, but Miami spoke for him across two more tweets: “Yeah I’m On my way to his house im Finna call you when I get there. Desperately??? It’s never giving that Nicki [four cry-laughing emojis] let’s be fr.”

As context , Diddy recently updated the world on his and Miami’s fluctuating relationship status after they appeared at the 2023 Met Gala together earlier this month. “We’re dating, and we’re just enjoying ourselves,” he told Vogue.

Way back in February 2022, Miami said in an interview with The Morning Hustle that any beef — perceived or real — between City Girls and Minaj had been “let go.” Guess not!

Rihanna Treats Herself To 'Quiet Luxury' With Huge Jewel Ring On Her Toe

Rihanna has treated herself to "quiet luxury." Through a video uploaded on her TikTok account, the "Work" hitmaker showed off a huge jewel ring that she wore on one of her left toes.

On Wednesday, May 24, the 35-year-old songstress let out the 35-second-long clip. In the footage, she could be seen walking and stopping several times before zooming in the camera to offer an up-close show at the nine carat diamond ring that she put on her toe.

Aside from the sparkling diamond ring, Rihanna was also seen sporting a pair of open-toe black heels and sparkling bracelets on both of her legs. A glimpse of a white feathered dress that the singer donned at that time was also showen. In the caption of the post, she simply wrote, "Quiet luxury."

Rihanna's TikTok video was quick to attract the attention of her 8.4 million followers. They flooded the comments section with admiration. One in particular wrote, "Rihanna rocks a toe ring so I went out and bought a toe ring." Another devotee chimed in, "Oh to be as rich as rihanna."

The comments did not stop there. A third fan penned, "And on that day, a toe ring revolution began." A fourth exclaimed, "Just a video of Rihanna's feet? ICONIC." A fifth stated, "I don't even have a diamond like that for my hand-sis got her toes covered," while a sixth pointed out, "Not my dream engagement ring on your toes."

Rihanna got her diamond toe ring from a jeweler headquartered in Los Angeles named XIV Karats. After Riri uploaded her clip, XIV Karats made use of its Instagram account to offer a closer look at the ring design. Along with the pictures, the jeweler spilled in the caption, "TOE-tally in awe of @badgalriri in our XIV Karats 9 carat Pear shape Toe ring Sunday before the Met Ball styled by @illjahjah @amirdayi."

Jonathan Majors And Meagan Good Dining Out At Red Lobster With Her Family Amid Romance Rumors

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are apparently getting serious though it's been only a few weeks since news of their relationship broke. The actor has met the in-laws during the pair's latest date.

On Tuesday, May 23, the "Creed III" star and the "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" actress were spotted dining out with her family. They kept things low-key while slipping in and out of Red Lobster in Woodland Hills with Meagan's mom Tyra Wardlow-Doyle and older sister La'Myia Good.

They were photographed inside the restaurant while they chatted and ate together. According to TMZ, they spent 3 hours inside the eatery before walking out of the seafood chain in Los Angeles.

It seems that Jonathan spoiled the ladies with some flowers as the three of them carried a bouquet of flowers each when leaving the restaurant. The Emmy-nominated actor and the "Deception" alum appeared to be trying to hide their faces when spotted by paparazzi outside the establishment.

Meagan went casual during the date as she opted for a dark gray T-shirt with gray leggings and white sneakers. She also wore a black hat while carrying a pink jacket.

As for Jonathan, he donned a cream-colored shirt with vertical stripes that he paired with navy pants. He completed his look with a pair of Nike shoes and a gray painter hat while shielding his eyes with sunglasses.

Just a few days earlier, Jonathan and Megan fueled their dating rumors as they were spotted traveling together. On May 20, the two boarded a flight together from New York City to Los Angeles. In photos surfacing online, the pair could be seen chatting while walking hand-in-hand. They also waited in line together to grab something to eat.

TMZ reported earlier this month that the 33-year-old actor and the 41-year-old actress are dating. A source told the outlet that the two stars have gotten close "over the course of the last several weeks." An eyewitness additionally told the publication that the pair went to the Alamo Drafthouse in L.A. to watch a movie.

Neither of them has spoken up on their relationship status despite the multiple sightings together.

Wanda Sykes Addresses Dave Chappelle’s ‘Hurtful’ and ‘Damaging’ Jokes Against Trans People

Wanda Sykes is sharing her feelings about Dave Chappelle and his anti-trans jokes. The Virginia-born comic recently spoke to Variety to promote her new Netflix stand-up special, I’m An Entertainer. During the interview, Sykes gave her thoughts on Chappelle’s commentary and was asked whether her trans jokes were a "balance" against Chappelle’s. Sykes responded that the balance doesn’t have a scale that “tipped in their favor.”

“I knew that it’s such a delicate issue to talk about. I’m not trans, but they have my support, 100 percent” the comic shared. “I wanted to find something where I can shine some light on what they’re going through, to show how just stupid and hateful really it is. I was in a woman’s bathroom one time, and I was like, ‘Who would want to come in here anyway? It was like, I kind of want to go check out the men’s room. Sometimes, it’s even cleaner.’ And that’s how that whole bit started. I’ve always just been grossed out by bathrooms.”

The 59-year-old comedian confirmed that her and Chappelle “go way back,” although she hasn’t spoken to him in a while.

“[Not speaking to Chappelle] — it’s not intentional,” she continued. “I still love the guy. But I haven’t had a chance to talk to him. If our paths did cross, I totally would say something.“

“If you want to give me the label of a ‘woke comic,’ that’s fine. That’s great. What makes me laugh is that they say that like it’s an insult: ‘Oh, they’re woke.’ Thank you! Yeah, I read some stuff from time to time. Yeah, I know a few things. It’s not an insult at all. I mean, George Carlin, he was woke. Richard Pryor, woke. Bill Hicks, woke. It’s almost like they’re angry that we’re evolving. It’s sad, really.

She added, “People would say all kinds of horrible things that we used to let people get away with. But you know, in this country, they would hold public lynchings, and people would have picnics and eat potato salad while watching. We’re evolving. We’re getting better.”

Dave Chappelle’s jokes created an online firestorm upon the release of his 2021 Netflix special The Closer. Some Netflix and Saturday Night Live staff members responded by protesting the comedian, along with other comics like Mae Martin, Jerrod Carmichael and Billy Eichner. Tensions came to a head last year when Chappelle was attacked on stage at festival Netflix Is A Joke by a man who claimed to be bisexual.

Rapper Fetty Wap sentenced to 6 years in prison for drug-trafficking scheme

As friends and family looked on, rapper Fetty Wap on Wednesday apologized for his actions and said he was “exactly where I’m supposed to be,” before a judge sentenced him to six years in federal prison for his role in a New York-based drug-trafficking scheme.

The “Trap Queen” rapper, whose legal name is Willie Maxwell, pleaded guilty in August 2022 to a conspiracy drug charge that carried a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. The sentence was handed down in federal court on Long Island.

Maxwell told U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert, “Me being selfish in my pride put me in this position today.” His lawyers had suggested he turned to selling drugs because of financial hardship brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maxwell was arrested in October 2021 on charges of participating in a conspiracy to smuggle large amounts of heroin, fentanyl and other drugs into the New York City area.

The New Jersey-born rapper and five co-defendants were accused of conspiring to possess and distribute more than 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine between June 2019 and June 2020.

Prosecutors said the scheme involved using the U.S. Postal Service and cars with hidden compartments to move drugs from the West Coast to Long Island, where they were stored for distribution to dealers on Long Island and in New Jersey.

Maxwell pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances, the top charge in an indictment against him, admitting that he participated in a massive drug trafficking racket. The plea, which pertained only to cocaine, spared him from a potential life sentence if he had been convicted on all the charges he faced.

Maxwell’s lawyers had hoped for the minimum five-year prison term, while prosecutors sought a longer sentence.

“This is a sad day,”′ defense attorney Elizabeth Macedonio said. “This is a kid from Paterson, New Jersey who made it out.”

She said Maxwell “accepts responsibility for his conduct.”

Assistant United States Attorneys Christopher Caffarone said the prosecution was not about Maxwell’s fame as a performer.

“The defendant did actually sell drugs,” Caffarone said. “The defendant did actually sell cocaine.”

Seybert told Maxwell, “You’ve got a lot going for you. See if you can put it together.”

Maxwell rose to prominence after his debut single, the melodic but grungy “Trap Queen,” reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2015. The song talks about a lover having your back — even if that means helping you cook and sell drugs.

He was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2016.

Police conduct welfare check on Ja Morant following series of cryptic social media messages

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is taking a break from social media . As previously reported, the 23-year-old recently faced major backlash after getting suspended from team activities twice within a few months for virtually the same offense.

In March, the young athlete was recorded waving a gun in a strip club. Some accused him of being drunk while doing so. At the time, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver referred to Morant’s actions as “irresponsible, reckless, and potentially very dangerous.” Earlier this month, former pro basketball player Kwame Brown dubbed the point guard “NBA Dumb Boy” after Morant was caught on social media flashing a firearm once again.

Jokes poured in with some calling the ball player “Ja Wick,” and even veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson got in on the fun with a repost of an AI Coach Carter animation. Today (May 24), Morant shared a series of cryptic messages that worried supporters. In several since-deleted Instagram Stories, he told his parents and daughter that he loved them and then wrote, “Bye.” “Yo, [what the f**k] [does] Ja Morant mean by all [of] this?” one person tweeted with screenshots of the posts. “I’m a lil’ scared,” another replied.

According to TMZ Sports, a spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee told the outlet they were alerted and went to Morant’s home to conduct a welfare check. The department claimed his post only meant “he is taking a break from social media.” They added, “He is fine.” “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey, and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself,” the South Carolina native said in a statement last week.

Angela Bassett reacts to the death of Tina Turner: 'I am humbled to have helped show her to the world'

Within hours of the death of music icon Tina Turner, actress Angela Bassett paid tribute, which just felt right, since Bassett introduced many people to Turner's story when she portrayed her in the 1993 movie What's Love Got to Do With It.

"How do we say farewell to a woman who owned her pain and trauma and used it as a means to help change the world?" asked Bassett, who was nominated for the 1994 Oscar for Best Actress for the role. "Through her courage in telling her story, her commitment to stay the course in her life, no matter the sacrifice, and her determination to carve out a space in rock and roll for herself and for others who look like her, Tina Turner showed others who lived in fear what a beautiful future filled with love, compassion, and freedom should look like."

Bassett's biopic featured memorable scenes of the physical abuse she endured from her then husband and sometimes partner in music, Ike Turner, who died in 2007. They couldn't have been easy to watch.

"Her final words to me — for me — were 'You never mimicked me. Instead, you reached deep into your soul, found your inner Tina, and showed her to the world,'" Bassett said. "I shall hold these words close to my heart for the rest of my days. I am honored to have known Tina Turner. I am humbled to have helped show her to the world. So on today, while we mourn the loss of this iconic voice and presence, she gave us more than we could have ever asked. She gave us her whole self. And Tina Turner is a gift that will always be 'simply the best.' Angels, sing thee to thy rest…Queen."

While Bassett excelled at playing the part of Tina Turner, it took a toll on her.

"It was so demanding, emotionally, every day," Bassett told Yahoo Entertainment in March 2016. "[There was no] easy day or easy week or easy setup. Every day, every scene, emotionally grueling."

Kennedy: Tina Turner wrote and performed timeless musicScroll back up to restore default view.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, Forest Whitaker, Mick Jagger, Viola Davis and more also reacted to the extraordinary loss.

DeSantis’ GOP Presidential Bid Gets Off to Crappy Start on Elon Musk’s Twitter

Twitter’s live stream event with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis crashed and was delayed on Wednesday as hundreds of thousands of users logged on to hear DeSantis announce his bid for the White House.

Sound from the livestream event — which was held on Twitter Spaces and hosted by owner Elon Musk and tech entrepreneur David Sacks — cut in and out in the first minutes after starting.

“We’ve got so many people here that we are kind of melting the servers,” Sacks said at one point.

More than 500,000 Twitter users joined the event, which was ultimately ended and then restarted, delaying DeSantis’ announcement by nearly half an hour.

Twitter has faced a variety of outages and technical issues since Musk took over the platform late last year. Shortly after acquiring the company, Musk laid off large numbers of technical and other staff and reduced Twitter’s server capacity in an effort to cut costs.

In recent months, Twitter has faced multiple service outages that affected the ability of thousands of users to access the site, view images, and read tweets on their timelines. Users have also previously reported issues with the app’s two-factor authentication tool, seeing replies listed above a tweet rather than below it and seeing old tweets show up repeatedly in their feed or mentions.

Musk and David Sacks admitted on Wednesday that the limited capacity of Twitter’s servers played into the issues it faced getting the DeSantis event underway.”I think you broke the internet there,” Sacks said when the event was relaunched.

Twitter’s spaces product was not necessarily built to host events with hundreds of thousands of listeners. Most other spaces have — at most — several hundred listeners at a time.

The toll of Kanye's actions is evident as Kim reveals, "The one that was supposed to protect me — and still does interviews saying they’ll be my forever protector — is the one that is hurting me the most. I'm fucking exhausted."

Relentless Attacks and Accusations

Kanye West targeted Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, in a series of now-deleted Instagram posts. The rapper criticized Kim's parenting style, accusing her of playing games with their children. Kim addresses the relentless nature of the attacks, stating, "Even through all of the craziness of everything that Kanye says about us, I never comment. I never post." The feud escalated as Kanye involved their four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, in the public feud. He further intensified the conflict by targeting Pete with hateful comments and releasing a disturbing music video depicting violence towards him.

Leaked Texts and Personal Attacks

In the leaked texts, Kanye asserted his desire to control their children's education, disregarding Kim's input due to her biracial heritage. Kim reveals her frustration, stating, "I think at this point, I just assume that everything I text Kanye is gonna be put on the internet." Kanye's derogatory comments about Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, alleging her involvement in encouraging explicit content, added another layer of distress. Kim opens up about her heartbreak for her mom, expressing, "I get really heartbroken for my mom — that she has to deal with so much."

Kim's Silent Struggle and Emotional Toll

Throughout the previous season, Kim chose to remain silent in response to Kanye's attacks, prioritizing her children's well-being. Louis Vuitton Launches New California Detox-Inspired Fragrance Pacific Chill

Designed to instill a sense of “invigorating freshness” in its wearers, Louis Vuitton’s new Pacific Chill fragrance is now available.

The new scent comes from perfume artist Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who is behind a full collection of recent perfumes from the LV label. The distinctly Californian idea of detoxification, be it through overpriced juices or elsewhere, ended up serving as the unlikely inspiration point for Belletrud and designer Alex Israel.

“One morning in Los Angeles, while I was chatting with Alex Israel, we both ordered one of those detoxifying smoothies that Californians love,” Belletrud recalled when detailing the process behind what ultimately became Pacific Chill. “I was inspired by the vitamin-packed juice and said to Alex, 'I'm going to create a detox cologne!' I tried to transcribe, through emotion, the well-being effects of that fruity blend.”

Pacific Chill is now available in 100 ML and 200 ML sizes for $300 and $430, respectively. In addition to being available online via the official LV site, the scent is also available in select stores.

Prosecutors Say There Is No Evidence Showing Odell Beckham Jr. Choked Woman

Odell Beckham Jr. has gotten off scot-free after a woman accused him of grabbing her neck inside a restaurant despite surveillance footage showing otherwise.

An unidentified woman accused the 30-year-old of choking her inside the Delilah restaurant in Los Angeles. The woman stated that she and the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver remained in the lounge after the incident. She filed a police report three days later.

However, when authorities viewed footage of the incident, they confirmed the woman’s account greatly differed from what was seen on video. In fact, prosecutors say the footage “contradicts the complaining witness’ account of events.”

The alleged victim had declared that her friend was with her and witnessed the assault. However, that individual confessed that they did not actually see Beckham attack her. The restaurant staff also confirmed that no such assault happened in their establishment.

“We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos. The claim is false,” said Delilah’s owner John Terizan. He says the woman was not even standing in the area of the lounge where she claims the choking occurred.

Ultimately, prosecutors have decided there is not enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges. Beckham has maintained his innocence throughout the investigation.

Beckham can return his focus to his new contract with the Ravens, reportedly worth $260 million, with $185 guaranteed, despite still rehabbing from a torn ACL. He has not publicly addressed his legal win.
