#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Responds to Nene Leakes’ Claim That the Current ‘Real Housewives’ Franchises Are ‘Starless’
Kandi Burruss stopped by Baller Alert while on the Grammys carpet on Sunday, Feb. 5 and addressed a statement by her former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Nene Leakes on “The Breakfast Club,” suggesting that there are no stars within the “Real Housewives” franchise.
Noting that she really typically doesn’t make it a habit to follow Leakes’ opinion, Burruss did reveal that in this particular sense, she understood where her past castmate’s perspective.

“I understood what she was trying to say, I guess she’s saying you know people are known, but I will have to say, you know, it will be unfair for her to say that because she started on ‘The Housewives’ as far as being in the public eye,” Burruss said.

As she continued to further react to Leakes’ statement, Burruss suggested, “You know you can be just sitting there happy to be a housewife and just be on Bravo, or you can be really going to get that bag and doing other things that are outside of the Bravo atmosphere.”

The 46-year-old also shouted out the ladies who are a part of the “Real Housewives” franchise, adding that each woman has her own way of achieving success.

“A lot of these women are doing their thing,” Burruss said, before adding, “I got what she was trying to say, but I don’t necessarily agree.”

On the Jan. 31, 2022, episode of Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy’s morning radio talk show, Leakes joined them as a co-host and threw major shade at her old reality TV network along with those currently on it.

While initially talking about “The Real Housewives of Potomac” Robyn Dixon and her current reveal of knowing that her husband, Juan Dixon, was having an affair, Leakes decided to bring the entire Bravo series into the mix, expressing her belief that the “Real Housewives” franchise is missing its star power.

“These girls on these shows are just not stars. Like if you really look at it, all of the stars that were on any of these franchises, they took them off. And, everybody that’s left is star-less,” she strongly expressed.

When asked about her return to the show, Leakes quickly shut down that possibility. “I have no plans to come back,” she said. “I feel like that ship has sailed, and I’ve grown in so many ways. It’s just not something that I’m interested in doing right now.”

The 55-year-old left Bravo’s popular franchise twice; she decided to leave after season seven of the show, but then made a grand return for its 10th season. However, she didn’t stay for long because once season 13 approached, Leakes said her farewells for good.

Though “RHOA” may never see her again on that show, fans have expressed wanting to see Leakes beside her “RHOA” friend Marlo Hampton and “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams for their own reality show as a trio following the three ladies seemingly enjoying a night out on the town together.

#MusicNews: Chris Brown Apologizes to Robert Glasper for His “Rude and Mean” Reaction to Grammys Loss
An apology from Chris Brown? Run it! After losing for Best R&B Album at the 2023 Grammys, the 33-year-old apologized to winner Robert Glasper for initially reacting to his loss in a series of since-deleted Instagram Stories. (For a complete list of winners, click here.)

"Congratulations my brother," the "No Guidance" singer wrote in a screenshot of a direct message he sent to Robert, posted on his Instagram Stories. "I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys. You were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean. After doing my research I actually think you're amazing."

Chris—who was also nominated alongside Mary J. Blige, Lucky Daye and PJ Morton—went on to note that his "intended target" was in fact the Recording Academy.

"The organization isn't doing us blacks our due diligence," he continued. "You and I should never be in the same category. Two totally different vibes and genres. So from one black man to another. Congratulations. Hope you are able to feed your family for life. God bless my G."
Robert won the Grammy with his Black Radio III, which featured musical collaborations with Common, Jennifer Hudson and Erykah Badu. Meanwhile, Chris was nominated for his 10th studio album, Breezy (Deluxe), which included projects with Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow and H.E.R..

Chris apology comes a day after he called out Robert's album for winning the Grammy.

#HipHopNews: Quavo And Offset Fight Backstage At Grammys Before Takeoff Tribute
Even Takeoff’s death cannot bring Quavo and Offset back together.
The Migos members reportedly got into a physical fight backstage at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. According to TMZ, the incident happened right before Quavo took the stage to perform a tribute to Takeoff as part of the “In Memoriam” segment.

The fight started after the Grammys reportedly asked Offset to be a part of the tribute, but Quavo refused the request. He reportedly blocked Offset from joining him on stage to honor their fellow Migos member. Instead, Quavo performed his emotional song “Without You” with Maverick City Music.

Source say they had to be pulled apart and that Offset did not start the fight.
Offset attended the Grammys with his wife Cardi B, who presented the award for Best Rap Album. The couple was not seen in the audience during the “In Memoriam” performance.

The two had been on the outs prior to Takeoff’s death in November. Quavo and Takeoff formed a duo and released their joint album Only Built for Infinity Links, while Offset pursued his solo career.

Quavo addressed Migos’ breakup during an interview with the “Big Facts” podcast in October. “We just stand on loyalty, we stand on real deal loyalty… This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, no nothing,” he said. “This got something to do with the three brothers and it is what it is. Right now we gon’ be the duo till time tell.”

Offset continues to mourn Takeoff’s death on social media. Last month, he pleaded for his cousin to “come back.” He revealed that he has been in a “dark place” since Takeoff was fatally shot outside a Houston bowling alley on Nov. 1.

“Shit not easy fake smiling and shit tryna keep walking with my head up,” he tweeted.

LeBron 'disappointed' after the Lakers fail to secure Kyrie trade
LeBron James shared on Monday that he is disappointed the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to secure his former team-mate Kyrie Irving in a trade.
The duo of James and Irving famously became the only team to ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals, conquering the record-setting 73-9 Golden State Warriors for the 2016 championship.

Their history and chemistry meant that when Irving demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, James believed it was exactly the opportunity his team had been waiting for, but they were beaten to the punch by the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the Lakers proposed a deal sending Russell Westbrook and their two remaining first-round picks – in 2027 and 2029 – to the Nets, but with championship aspirations of their own, the Nets would not budge unless promising youngsters Max Christie and Austin Reaves were both also included.

It is believed that is where the Lakers drew the line, although further reporting from Marc Stein claims Nets owner Joe Tsai was never going to send Irving to Los Angeles, because he believed that is where he was trying to force his way to.

Speaking to ESPN's Michael Wilbon, James laid out why he felt Irving was a good fit on this Lakers team, but said he has already moved on.

"I can't sit here and say I'm not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent," he said. "Someone that I had great chemistry with, and know I got great chemistry with on the floor, that can help you win championships, in my mind, in my eyes.

"But my focus is shifted now. My focus is shifted back to where it should be and that's this club now and what we have in the locker room. It's a quick pivot. It don't take me long. I don't get too excited about the possibilities of things that can be.

"I kind of envision myself on what it can, but I don't invest it all the way into it until I know it's happening, and when it does not happen, I'm back locked in on the job at hand.

"So we had an opportunity, our names were out there, the Lakers name was out there. We had an opportunity, it didn't happen.

"We move on and we finish this season strong, try to get a bid into the postseason, where I feel if we go in healthy, we can compete with anybody."

James acknowledged that the Lakers' struggles – currently sitting 13th out of 15 Western Conference teams – have had an effect on him, but he is determined to right the ship.

"Well, I mean for me it is challenging, but I'm 10 toes down," he said. "I understand that once I show up to work, or once I show up to the job description – and that's being a leader of the ballclub every single day – there's no [question for] me on what my mindset is.

"My mindset is how we can be great today and how we can maximise today for either the next game, for the next road trip, for next film session, for the next practice, for the next bus ride, plane ride.

"I have that mentality of if we can maximise today, then it makes the next challenge that much more easy for us."

It is no secret for Westbrook that he is at the centre of these trade rumours for the Lakers as they try to ship him elsewhere, but head coach Darvin Ham said he has been nothing but professional.

"He's showing up, doing his job, being a professional – and that's all you can do for any of us," he said.

"This is an unforgiving business... dealing with rumours, different things happening. All you can do is put your head down and do your work and try to remain as professional as possible, and he's done that."

Irving – who will make his debut for the Mavericks on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers – also received a $2million bonus due to the trade kicker clause in his contract.

Tom Brady Strips Down In Saucy Pic Following A Dare With Pals
Tom Brady has shared a saucy pic on Instagram four months after he finalised his divorce from Gisele Bundchen. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, 45, stripped down to his underwear, a week after his model ex-wife posed in a skimpy bikini for a beach photoshoot.

"Did I do this right?" he captioned the image, which showed him sitting in brown underwear and putting his hands over his privates. Tagging his fellow NFL stars Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in the post, uploaded on Monday, February 6, he added "a deal's a deal" in reference to his previous promise to recreate photographs of models posing in their underwear for his apparel brand if he received 40,000 likes on one of his tweets.
The photo was shared after the company had reminded Tom about his pledge, writing, "Hey @TomBrady, we haven't forgotten about this."

Tom, who has son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, with his ex-wife Gisele, 42, as well as son John Edward, 15, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, 51, last week announced he is retiring from the NFL "for good." He previously announced plans last year to quit playing, but changed his mind 40 days later and agreed to play another season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He did not thank Gisele by name in his Instagram statement on walking away from sport, but the seven-time Super Bowl winner did thank his family for "supporting" him while he lived his "absolute dream." But the model, who married Tom in 2009 before their split last year, wished him well on his retirement, saying last week in an Instagram comment, "Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life."

It's been reported Tom is not interested in dating after splitting from the model. TMZ quoted an insider who claimed the athlete is aiming to spend as much time with his three children as he can for the "next few months." It was also claimed Tom has been looking at schools in the Miami area, where he is apparently planning to stay for his two younger children, and where Gisele recently bought a house.

Will Smith Forced To Drop Out Of Grammys' Hip-Hop Tribute Because Of Filimg Bad Boys 4
Will Smith was originally going to make his awards show comeback at the Grammys, nearly a year after his infamous Oscars slap. Questlove revealed that the actor was supposed to be part of the tribute celebrating 50 years of hip-hop, but he had to back out because it coincided with the filming of "Bad Boys 4".

Questlove gave away the "spoiler" during an interview on the red carpet ahead of the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 5. "I'll give the spoiler alert away. Will Smith was apart of the festivities tonight, but they started shooting 'Bad Boys 4' this week," he told Variety's Marc Malkin. "There were a lot of preliminary shots that he had to do, so we had to lose Will."

While he aimed high by booking Smith, the drummer of The Roots knew since the beginning that it was "a shot in the dark," because the actor is "always shooting movies." He continued, "There was a lot of legit reasons why we couldn't be all inclusive of some people."

The 52-year-old went on noting that the celebration "had a lot of people, and some of them have other jobs," adding that Ice-T, Queen Latifah and LL Cool J were all participating in the tribute but had to "leave their respective shows" to join the celebration.

Questlove also opened up about the creative process for the tribute performance, saying he had only four weeks to listen to all his favorite hip-hop music of all time. While he said the original tribute was going to be 23 minutes long, it has since been cut down to 14 minutes. "It's going to be amazing," he promised viewers on the red carpet.

The tribute performance featured 33 artists from different generations. It included a homage to Nelly's 2002 "Hot in Herre", 1988's "My Mike Sounds Nice" by Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, and Busta Rhymes pairing with Spliff Star to recite all the lyrics from his featured jump into Chris Brown's 2011 single "Look at Me Now".

Also joining the performance were Big Boi, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Mele Mel & Scorpio/Ethiopian King, DJ Drama, Future, Lil Baby, Rahiem, Rakim, The Lox, Method Man, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Too Short, Scarface and Swizz Beatz. The performance ended with a production of Lil Uzi Vert's 2022 hit "Just Wanna Rock".

AMC Theatres to Change Movie Ticket Prices Based on Seat Location
At your next visit to AMC Theatres, getting a prime seat may cost you a little extra.
The country’s largest exhibition chain is rolling out Sightline at AMC, a ticket pricing initiative based on seat location within the auditorium. Similar to music concerts, sporting events or Broadway, moviegoers will have the option to pay more or less for admission depending on where they choose to sit in the venue. In effect, front row seats will be available at a lower price, while seats in the middle of the theater will be available at a higher price.
The initiative kicks off on Friday at select AMC locations in New York, Chicago and Kansas City and will be expanded to all domestic AMC locations by the end of the year.

There will be three different seat-pricing options. The first is Standard Sightline, described as the “seats that are the most common in auditoriums and are available for the traditional cost of a ticket.” Then there’s Value Sightline, referred to as “seats in the front row of the auditorium, as well as select ADA seats in each auditorium, and are available at a lower price than standard sightline seats.” (Value Sightline pricing is only available to AMC Stubs members, including the free tier membership.) The third option is Preferred Sightline, which are the “seats in the middle of the auditorium and are priced at a premium to standard sightline seats.” AMC Stubs A-List members will be able to reserve seats in the Preferred Sightline Section at no additional cost.

Theaters that offer Sightline at AMC are expected to provide a detailed seat map that outlines each seating option during the ticket purchase process online, on the AMC app and at the box office. Sightline at AMC is applied to all showtimes that begin after 4 p.m. at participating locations. It’s not applicable on Discount Tuesdays, when all movie tickets are discounted to $5.

“Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC’s seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues, offering experienced-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies,” said Eliot Hamlisch, executive VP and CMO at AMC Theatres. “While every seat at AMC delivers an amazing moviegoing experience, we know there are some moviegoers who prioritize their specific seat and others who prioritize value moviegoing. Sightline at AMC accommodates both sentiments to help ensure that our guests have more control over their experience, so that every trip to an AMC is a great one.”

Black Colorado family claims domestic terrorism by white locals trying to steal ranch
Last month, a woman who identified herself as Geneva B. of Manitou Springs, Colorado on GoFundMe shared that she was making a post to assist her family members, Nicole and Courtney Mallery. According to the organizer, the Mallerys own a horse ranch and have been the target of racist attacks from white local authorities and residents.

Geneva stated that her Black relatives worked hard to rebuild their lives after losing everything in a hurricane, but now they’re fighting “for their ranch and possibly their lives in a predominantly white and hostile Colorado county.” As of today (Feb. 6), donations have exceeded the original $25,000 goal. The proceeds will go to the Mallerys purchasing “enhanced security that can not be jammed, [a] privacy fence, [an] electric fence and legal fees.” In a detailed description of events, the GoFundMe organizer listed claims of what has allegedly been going on at the property.

“Every night on Freedom Acres Ranch is a gamble of life and death for Black cattleman Courtney W. Mallery and his wife Nicole. As of late, he most likely will find tools destroyed, a prized calf stolen, or one of his hogs with their entrails spewing from slit bellies. Their [ranch hand] has been murdered. Beheaded and butchered goat carcasses are a common sight. Recently, his newly born calf vanished. Not long ago, the mother of his Pyrenees puppies was poisoned along with several pigs. Often, he picks up animal remains on the farm and has had to put out fires like when the chicken coop was set ablaze,” Geneva wrote. She added that her relatives have had their electricity cut off and water from their well has been stolen, among other crimes.

The Mallerys reportedly purchased the 1,000-acre ranch in El Paso County Colorado in August 2020. However, they have yet to feel welcomed as they say they repeatedly face threatening behavior from residents and law enforcement. They added that El Paso County Sheriff, Sergeant Emory “Ray” Gerhart, is on their security footage observing their property but has never filed a police report to put an end to the torment. “Gerhart told me that if I keep calling the police, he’s going to arrest me,” Courtney said to the Ark Republic. Last month, the Mallerys received a warrant for charges of stalking, tampering with a utility meter and petty theft, and were ordered to surrender to police. “They [are] trying to steal my land and lock us up to cover this up,” Courtney added.

BBC News Gets Roasted After Confusing Beyonce With Viola Davis During Grammys Coverage
BBC News was forced to apologize to their viewers after confusing Beyonce for Viola Davis as they gave their recap on the 2023 Grammy Awards last night. The broadcaster left its British audience startled after using Davis’ photo from her appearance at the Golden Globes while discussing Bey achieving record-breaking status after becoming the most-awarded artist in Grammys history with 32 wins in total.

What’s even more embarrassing is that the headline read, “Beyonce’s big night,’ alongside a photo of the “How To Get Away With Murder Actress.” You really have to question how anybody could confuse the two talented stars, but accidents do happen, which is why the BBC News Press Team most likely came forward to issue an apology via Twitter.

“We apologize for the mistake last night when our news channels briefly showed a photograph of Viola Davis from January’s Golden Globes alongside a headline about BeyoncΓ© at yesterday’s Grammys. This fell below the BBC’s usual standards,” they wrote.

People on Twitter were torn on whether someone could actually mistake Davis for Beyonce while others praised the statement for owning up to what must have been a stressful day for whoever was handling the broadcaster’s photos that night.

While Bey’s latest album “Renaissance” did not go on to win Album Of The Year (as many of us had hoped), the Texas native didn’t leave the ceremony empty-handed.

It was during her acceptance speech for Best Dance/Electronic Album that Beyonce noticeably turned teary-eyed as she shouted out to her friends, fans, family, and most of all, the queer community for inspiring her newfound sound for this era.

“Thank you so much,” she told the audience. “I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me. Thank you, God.”
“I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny, who’s not here. But he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents — my father, my mother, for loving me, and pushing me. I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching.”

She ended her speech, saying, “I’d like to thank the queer community for your love, and for inventing this genre,” BeyoncΓ© said. “God bless you. Thank you so much to the Grammys. Thank you.”

'You People' Actor Claims Jonah Hill and Lauren London Kiss Was Made With CGI
You People cast member Andrew Schulz alleges the wedding sequence where Jonah Hill and Lauren London kiss was done using CGI.
“There’s a hilarious thing, I don’t even know if I should share this shit, but the final scene, they don’t even kiss. It’s CGI. Swear to god, son,” Schulz said on the Brilliant Idiots podcast, which the comedian co-hosts with Charlamagne tha God.

He continued near the 9:30 mark below, “I’m there, I’m watching the wedding, and I see them go in for the kiss, and their faces stop like this far. And I’m like, ‘I wonder how they’re going to play that in the movie. Oh, they’re probably just gonna cut right there.’ But the movie, you can see their faces come close, and then you can see their faces morph a little bit into a fake kiss.”
Netflix subscribers can judge for themselves shortly after the 1:48:00 mark of the Kenya Barris-directed feature, which the black-ish creator co-wrote with two-time Oscar-nominee Hill.

Schulz’s claim comes after guest DJ Nyla Symone brought up the online debate surrounding the likelihood of Hill and London’s characters dating in real life. “Fuck no! That’s the most unrealistic shit…that’s why it’s in a movie, I said this should be a science fiction film,” Schulz jokingly responded. “There’s no fucking way in any world that Lauren London dates Jonah Hill.”
According to Variety, You People debuted atop Netflix’s top 10 movies shortly after its premiere with 55.65 million hours viewed late last month.

Neo-Nazi and Girlfriend Arrested Over Alleged Plot to Destroy Maryland Power Grids
A couple was arrested in separate states last week over an alleged plot to attack five power grids around Baltimore and subsequently cripple the city.
Brandon Russell, 27, and Sarah Clendaniel, 34, have been charged with conspiring to destroy an energy facility and face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. According to court documents obtained by the Washington Post, Clendaniel spoke with a federal informant about their scheme, detailing how “there was a ‘ring’ around Baltimore and if they hit a number of them all in the same day, they ‘would completely destroy this whole city.’”

Prosecutors said the two devised the plan by referencing open source information on the national infrastructure grid, and believed that if these five electrical substations were destroyed on the same day, it would result in a “cascading failure” in the system.

“The accused were not just talking, but taking steps to fulfill their threats and further their extremist goals,” said Thomas J. Sobocinski, the special agent in charge of Baltimore’s FBI field office, adding their extremist views were “racially or ethnically motivated.”

Russell and Clendaniel met while serving time behind bars for their respective charges in different prisons. He had been charged with possession of an unregistered destructive device and improper storage of explosive materials, while she was in prison for robbing convenience stores with a machete.

Ex-Adidas Exec Eric Liedtke on Adidas' Rise, Yeezy, and His Departure | The Complex Sneakers Podcast
Russell, who is the founder of the neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen, started speaking with the informant prior to his August 2021 release in which he was placed on probation. However, discussions of their power grid scheme didn’t start until last summer. Clendaniel believed their attack “would probably permanently completely lay this city to waste if we could do that successfully.”

Clendaniel revealed to the informant that she expected to die from kidney disease in the next few months, and wanted to “accomplish something worthwhile” in her remaining time on Earth.

Similar attacks centered around power grids occurred in North Carolina and Oregon. Sobocinski does not suspect a link between these two individuals and those incidents.

I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel with original stars in the works at Sony
Another summer, another hook-wielding psycho killer — and maybe some familiar faces too.
More than 25 years after I Know What You Did Last Summer hit theaters, Sony is developing a sequel to the teen slasher that would bring back original stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt. EW has confirmed that the two are in talks to return for the project, which is still in the early stages of development, while Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge, Someone Great) is attached to direct.

Beyond that, plot and cast details are unknown. The original 1997 film followed four friends — played by Prinze, Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe — who are bound by accident when they run over a fisherman and dispose of his body in the water. When they reconvene a year later, they receive a threatening letter from someone aware of the incident and are soon terrorized by a hook-wielding murderer.

Prinze, Hewitt, and Gellar previously reprised their roles for a 1998 sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer; a third film, 2006's I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, followed a new group of pals portrayed by Torrey DeVitto, David Paetkau, Brooke Nevin, and Ben Easter.

More recently, Sony and Amazon produced an I Know What You Did Last Summer TV series, which debuted in October 2021 and was canceled the following January. The show, like the movies, was based on Lois Duncan's 1973 novel of the same name.

News of the latest I Know What You Did Last Summer resurrection comes amid the killer success of the Scream and Halloween franchises, which recently brought back legacy stars Courteney Cox and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Prinze's recent screen credits include the Punky Brewster revival, Robot Chicken, and Christmas With You, while Hewitt's credits include Hot in Cleveland, Criminal Minds, and 9-1-1. Robinson is also known for co-writing Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder with Taika Waititi.

Rapper Xzibit’s Ex-Wife Demands Monthly Child Support Be Increased To $14,000
Last year, rapper Xzibit was ordered to pay his estranged wife $2,239 a month in child support and $3,702 a month in alimony
Now his ex-wife is demanding more and has branded Xzibit a deadbeat dad…
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Krista has demanded her $6k a month in support be increased to around $14k.

In the filing, Krista said she has had to borrow funds from family and friends to support her and their 12-year-old son Gatlyn.

In addition, Krista accused Xzibit of refusing to pay for the parties’ health insurance premiums over the last few months and said he also stopped paying the full amount of the minor child’s tuition.
Krista accused Xzibit of not even seeing their son since October 2022. “I believe the last time he actually saw Gatlyn was around [Xzibit’s] own birthday in September 2022. Gatlyn called [Xzibit] on Christmas and [Xzibit] refused to answer or call him back. Our son is devastated,” Krista wrote in court documents.

“Meanwhile, we see on [Xzibit’s] social media posts that he is frequently on tour in exotic countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Australia, and New Zealand, only in the last few months,” Krista wrote.

She accused him of continuing to live and publicly flaunt the lifestyle of a rich and famous rap artist with a thriving cannabis business,” all while not making all the required payments for their kid’s schooling.

Nicki Minaj Sued For $750k After Husband Allegedly Attacked Hired Security
Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are being sued for $750,000 over attacking a security guard. The guard was a member of Minaj’s team.
According to The Blast, the guard is German man Thomas Weidenmuller. He is suing for battery and infliction of emotional distress.

Weidenmuller was the head of security for Minaj for a 2019 trip to Germany. A fan hopped on stage and made it past security, upsetting Minaj.
Court documents state the “concert-goer breached a security barricade dividing the audience from the stage and was able to get on stage while Minaj was performing. In obtaining access to the stage, the concert-goer bypassed a female security guard stationed at the stairs leading to the stage.”

Minaj wasn’t hurt as the fan just danced on stage. After the show, Minaj, Petty, and additional members of her entourage confronted security calling the female guard that was bypassed a “bitch” who broke to tears and apologized.

From there, Minaj pulled out her phone and demanded the guard “tell Minaj’s fans, via the recording, that she failed to do her job and put Minaj in danger.” Minaj would then throw her shoes at the guard.

Weidenmuller stated in a later incident; Petty punched him in the face leading to ten days in the hospital. A police investigation was launched after.
