#MAGFAB: Kim Kardashian Covers Vogue’s March Issue

Vogue’s March cover star is Kim Kardashian. One of the world’s most famed modern icons is embracing her 40s as the decade to put herself first.

On putting herself first and prioritizing her health and family life: “For so long, I did what made other people happy and I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you. My 40s are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. KhloΓ© came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, ‘Post and ghost.’ ”

On the impact she and her family has had on how people view themselves on social media: “There’s definitely an influence, both positive and negative, on how a whole group of people view themselves because of social media. I can see that. I’m not blocked off to the idea that it exists. But I try to think, Okay, if I’m raising my kids, how would I react if I felt like there were things on TikTok or Instagram that I wouldn’t want them to see and be a part of? We would have those conversations.”

On resisting over analyzing her effect on culture: She doesn’t devote much energy to analyzing her effect, for better or for worse, on the culture. For Kim, this is an act of self-preservation. “I just try to live my life and be happy for people. And I think when you just live your life like that, you block it out. It’s like a racehorse that puts on blinders so they can see clearly and straight. You’ve got to just be that racehorse, put on those blinders, and go. And if you start trying to see to the right or the left of you, you’re going to trip up.”

On her Met Gala look by Balenciaga: “I fought against it. I was like, I don’t know how I could wear the mask. Why would I want to cover my face? But Demna and the team were like, ‘This is a costume gala. This is not a Vanity Fair party where everyone looks beautiful. There’s a theme and you have to wear the mask. That is the look.’”

Vogue’s March 2021 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on February 22nd.

#RHOA: Drew Sidora Responds To RHOA Fans Being Disappointed By Her Return + Confirms Feuds?

Drew Sidora started her RHOA journey off with a bang.“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Drew Sidora had a very eventful first season on the show. She ended up clashing with fellow newbie LaToya Ali. The drama kicked off after LaToya told the other women her thoughts about Drew’s choice in wigs. Drew got even by calling LaToya her biggest fan and giving her an autograph. Their feud escalated after Drew accused LaToya of messing around with her pastor. She also received criticism from the cast and fans of the show for using Christmas gifts as a way to even. Interestingly enough, the other person Drew happened to clash with was Kenya Moore.

Kenya appeared to be open to getting to know Drew at first. But that went left when Drew told the other women that Kenya was going on the South Carolina trip via private jet with LaToya. Plus, she decided to bring her nanny along so Brooklyn Daly could come with her.

Kenya asked Drew not to tell the other women about the jet or her nanny coming along because she figured it could cause some drama. And she was right because Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss were both furious because they felt Kenya should have told all the women that they could bring their children along. They also didn’t enjoy getting to the destination by bus.

While some viewers enjoyed the drama that Drew brought to the previous season, others did not. And Drew’s critics were very vocal about their feelings about her on social media. These same people also weren’t thrilled when it was confirmed that Drew was returning for season 14.

Well, Drew had something to say in response to those who haven’t exactly enjoyed her presence on RHOA. She also seemingly confirmed the reports of her clashing with Sheree Whitfield and season 14 newbie Sanya Richards-Ross.

Drew Sidora had a controversial first season on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Her feuds with Kenya Moore and LaToya Ali made her a hot topic on social media among RHOA fans. When it came to her issues with LaToya, there were complaints about the accusations Drew made about LaToya and her pastor. Drew accused LaToya of hooking up with her pastor. She felt this was wrong since the man was previously engaged with a baby. Kandi Burruss called Drew out for this because she thought it was wrong for Drew to place all the blame on LaToya. LaToya denied the accusations but Drew stood firm.

Anoher controversial moment in the feud was when Drew put LaToya on blast for a private conversation they had prior. Drew alleged that LaToya told her she wanted to cut down on drinking and get her life on track amid her split from her husband Adam Ali. Drew invited LaToya to church and LaToya accepted the invite. So the other women on the cast felt Drew went too far to expose LaToya in this way.

Some fans agreed that Drew went too far in her desire to get even with LaToya. So she received a lot of backlash on social media. There were also complaints when it was announced that Drew was returning for season 14.

Drew addressed the criticism during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She’s promoting her new Lifetime movie, “Line Sisters.” And she had something to say about the people who are disappointed that she’s back for another season.

She said, “On a good note I’m happy that people still get to know me. I feel like last season I had to come in and defend myself from the beginning and stand up for myself and just…throwing blows the whole time. And that’s not who I am. But if need be she will arise to the occasion but I have very many different sides to me that I think hopefully people will give me a chance. Get to know me, see those other sides, and embrace it.”

Drew also had some interesting things to say when she was asked about what the group dynamics have been like while the cast has been filming the upcoming season. Interestingly enough, she seemed to confirm the rumors about her clashing with Sheree Whitfield and Sanya Richards-Ross. When it came to Sheree, Drew threw some shade about Sheree’s “joggers” never actually happening.

“I’m really excited, I hope we see some fashions with Sheree coming, I’m just here for the fashions. I’m like where are they, haven’t seen them yet. I’ll keep you posted.” She added, “I haven’t seen them yet. I’m still trying to see where I can Google and get them. So I’m here for that though. If it happens, I’m here for it. I think it’s been a long time coming.”

She said getting to know Sanya has been a journey, “And the new girl, Sanya, I think she’s definitely adding to the group. You know, she’s an amazing track star, gold medalist. It doesn’t get better than that. So you know, getting to know her has been a journey, I’ll say that. It’s a journey, it’s been an interesting journey.”

Wendy Williams Speaks Out For The 1st Time: Denies Mental Health Allegations, Slams Ex Employee For Creating False Narratives – She Once Considered This Person A Friend

Wendy Williams is speaking out for the first time, addressing reports about her mental health and her current legal battle against Wells Fargo.

As previously reported, over the past few months, there have been multiple reports that the legendary talk show host is quietly battling mental health issues. More recently, there have been reports that the 57-year-old’s funds were frozen at Wells Fargo bank.

Wendy’s attorney, LaShawn Thomas, Esq., sent us a statement addressing a number of allegations.

Wendy denies ‘all allegations about her mental health and well-being’ and says that she

‘has employed holistic health professionals to help her reach optimal health during her treatment of Graves’ disease and thyroid concerns’.

The statement also confirms issues with Wells Fargo and blames a ‘former employee who is upset because she no longer has direct and unfettered access to Wendy’s financial affairs.’

Wendy also believes that ‘all of the false narratives currently making the rounds derive from this source and she is saddened that she once considered this person a friend.’

The statement adds that she wanted to grant her son ‘authority to make inquiries to the bank on Wendy’s behalf.’

See the full statement below.

On behalf of Wendy Hunter, professionally known as Wendy Williams, as counsel to her and her affairs, Wendy wants the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her mental health and well-being.

During this hiatus from the show, Wendy has employed holistic health professionals to help her reach optimal health during her treatment of Graves’ disease and thyroid concerns.

It saddens Wendy that Wells Fargo, has chosen to believe the allegations of a former employee who is upset because she no longer has direct and unfettered access to Wendy’s financial affairs. Wendy had to unfortunately bring this action because Wells Fargo has refused to honor her Power of Attorney, granting her son authority to make inquiries to the bank on Wendy’s behalf. Wendy further believes that all of the false narratives currently making the rounds derive from this source and she is saddened that she once considered this person a friend. Wendy can’t believe that Wells Fargo has wrongly denied her access to her funds without justification. She has spoken to several bank representatives and has even gone into a local branch and discussed this issue with bank managers, as clear evidence that there are no concerns about her state of mind. In fact, Wells Fargo’s alleged suspicions were never raised until Wendy made it known that she no longer wanted to bank at Wells Fargo due to the bank’s mishandling of her complaints against her advisor.

statements from an industry she has devoted her life to. Wendy is grateful for the love and the outpouring of support she has received from her fans and she can’t want to get back. She thanks everyone who has been patiently awaiting her return and believes that, thanks in large part to the love and support of her son, her family, her new team of doctors and a change of scenery, she is on the mend. Wendy says to all her fans, “How you doing?”

So, please send her positive messages, energy, and affirmations to her social media that she can read daily.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky surprise fans at Savage X Fenty store in LA

A group of Rihanna fans got the surprise of their lives when the singer showed up at a Los Angeles mall on Saturday night.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky surprised fans when they showed up at a Los Angeles

A group of Rihanna fans got the surprise of their lives when the singer showed up at a Los Angeles mall on Saturday night.

The pregnant “Umbrella” hitmaker, 33, who announced last month that she’s expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky, left shoppers stunned at the Westfield Culver City mall.

Riri opted for a red, leather robe as she arrived at the Savage X Fenty store alongside her rapper beau, 33, paring the look with towering red pumps.

She kept her growing baby bump covered, as she slicked her hair back into a ponytail, and lifted up the hood of her robe.

The “Fashion Killa” chart-topper looked equally stylish in a bejeweled grey suit, along with red and silver sneakers to match his girlfriend’s ‘fit.

The pair posed for photos in front of store mannequins, adorned with lingerie from her latest Savage X Fenty Valentine’s Day collection, while fans watched on,

It came shortly after Rihanna opened up about her changing body, and how she styles her current physique, at the Fenty Beauty Universe Event in Los Angeles.

“I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy,” the “Work” singer told People, noting that it was a “fun challenge” to find new styles.

“I like it. I’m enjoying it. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”

She continued, “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform.”

She first revealed her pregnancy in true Rihanna fashion, with a series of now-iconic photos walking through A$AP Rocky’s native Harlem. The couple held hands, while she stunned in a vintage, pink Chanel jacket, and accessorized her midsection with a long, embellished necklace.

Erin Jackson makes Black history, wins speed skating gold at Winter Olympics

Erin Jackson just became the first Black woman to win a speed skating gold medal at the Winter Olympics.

Jackson, a 29-year-old Florida native, clutched the ceremonial stuffed panda atop the podium and smiled with a grin that reached from ear to ear.

On Sunday (Feb. 13) Jackson made Black history by winning the women’s 500-meter race at the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

Jackson zoomed along the ice rink, using her arms to propel her faster and forward to a time of 37.04 seconds. One race later, she was announced as the winner.

WATCH

Jackson became the first American woman to win an individual Olympic medal since 2002, according to the Associated Press. She also helped Team U.S.A. Earn it’s first speed skating medal of the Beijing Games.

“Hopefully, this has an effect,” Jackson told AP. “Hopefully, we’ll see more minorities, especially in the USA, getting out and trying these winter sports.”

The feat is quite remarkable for the University of Florida graduate who first stepped on the ice in 2016. She made a complete transition from inline and roller derby skating to speed skating in 2018 and hasn’t looked back.

After earning a spot on Team U.S.A. and qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Jackson finished 24th but showed flashes of her potential.

She competed in the World Cup season, and quickly became one of the world’s best sprinters. Jackson won four of eight 500-meter races and became the first Black woman to win one of those titles.

“When I won the first World Cup, I was like, ‘OK that’s strange. Let’s see where it goes,’” Jackson recalled. “Then I won another and I was like, ‘Well, maybe I can do this.”

Jackson is working toward getting her associate’s in kinesiology. She already earned an associate’s degree in computer science and has her degree in materials science, AP reports.

One of her goals now that the spotlight is shining on her is to increase diversity in speed skating.

“I can’t see myself stopping now when I’m just figuring out what I’m doing,” she said prior to winning gold. “I feel like it’s the beginning.”

#BoxOfficeNews: Box Office: ‘Death on the Nile’ Sails to No. 1 as Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Marry Me’ No 2

“Death on the Nile” collected $12.8 million in its opening weekend. Those ticket sales wouldn’t buy enough Champagne to fill the Nile, but they are sufficient to lead domestic box office charts.

The star-studded murder mystery, from Disney and 20th Century Studios, arrived on par with expectations, which had projected a three-day tally around $11 million to $14 million from 3,280 North American theaters. But “Death on the Nile” cost a hefty $90 million to produce — not to mention the additional costs the film racked up across several pandemic-related delays — meaning it will not be smooth sailing to get out of the red.

Super Bowl weekend, usually the biggest TV event of the year, is never a busy time for moviegoing, and this Sunday’s matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals is no exception. Both “Death on the Nile” and another newcomer, Universal’s romantic comedy “Marry Me,” were scheduled as can’t-miss counterprogramming against the big game. But this weekend’s tepid turnout is a reminder that adult women, the target demographic for those films, have remained mostly hesitant about going to the movies during COVID-19.

That could be one of the reasons that “Marry Me,” which co-stars Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, opened simultaneously in theaters — where it earned $8 million — and on NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock.

It also helps explain why “Death on the Nile,” director Kenneth Branagh’s follow-up to the 2017 whodunit “Murder on the Orient Express,” suffered a steep decline from the original, which opened to $28.7 million and eventually earned $102 million in North America.

Branagh returned to direct “Death on the Nile,” which received mixed feedback from critics (60% on Rotten Tomatoes) and audiences (“B” CinemaScore). Adapted from Agatha Christie’s popular novel, the film follows renowned detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh) as he attempts to solve a murder aboard a glamorous river cruise in Egypt. The cast includes Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Annette Bening, Russell Brand and Letitia Wright.

“Super Bowl weekend is consistently down in overall business compared with other weekends, and we’re still coming off an enormous Omicron surge that peaked in mid-January.” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. He adds, “At a cost of $90 million, the movie will need strong overseas business.”

At the international box office, “Death on the Nile” brought in $20.7 million from 47 foreign markets. The movie has yet to open in China, which is currently the world’s biggest moviegoing market and, in 2017, dug up a solid $34 million for “Murder on the Orient Express.”

For similar reasons, “Marry Me” didn’t exactly find its happily ever after. The movie, featuring Lopez as a musical superstar who weds a total stranger (Wilson) at her concert, debuted in third place with $8 million from 3,462 venues. Its initial receipts are not catastrophic considering “Marry Me” cost only $23 million to make and it was available day-and-date on streaming for paying Peacock subscribers. However, it’s less than box office experts had predicted heading into the weekend and it likely won’t inspire Universal executives to greenlight “Marry Me 2.”

“Marry Me” was reportedly the No. 1 title on Peacock on Friday and Saturday, but NBCUniversal did not provide any metrics to quantify that statistic. Considering the lack of context around viewership numbers, it’s impossible to know whether the studio mitigated losses by concurrently premiering the movie online — or if the hybrid release cut into box office ticket sales. Peacock has only 9 million paid subscribers (HBO Max launched around the same time and has 73.8 million subscribers), so it may not have kept too many interested viewers at home.

At the box office, “Marry Me” hopes to stick around and become the de facto choice through Valentine’s Day on Monday. “Audiences have embraced Jennifer Lopez in this role. She has incomparable appeal,” says Universal’s president of domestic distribution Jim Orr. “It’s going to be a feel-good romantic comedy that people want to see in theaters throughout the spring.”

Ticket buyers, 67% of whom were female, awarded it a “B+” CinemaScore. The movie has gotten so-so reviews (it holds a 62% on Rotten Tomatoes), but Variety’s chief film critic Owen Gleiberman praised Lopez’s charm. “Once you accept the setup (I fought it for about 20 minutes), it’s easy to roll with the situations in the connect-the-dots script,” he wrote in his review.

Adds Gross, “Women, particularly older women, have been slower than others to return to moviegoing, and they are showing it again, here. The budget was reasonable, so the movie should not lose money.”

With “Marry Me” falling slightly short of expectations, last weekend’s box office champ “Jackass Forever” took the runner-up spot. Paramount’s fourth entry in the absurdist comedy franchise took in $8.05 million from 3,653 screens over the weekend, a significant-but-not-surprising 65% decline from inaugural sales. “Jackass Forever” has earned $37.4 million to date — not bad for a movie that carries a $10 million price tag.

“Marry Me” and “Death on the Nile” may have sold some moviegoers who weren’t all that interested in Super Bowl festivities, but that wasn’t the case for “Blacklight,” the umpteenth Liam Neeson action-thriller to play in theaters since the pandemic. Briarcliff Entertainment is distributing the film, which pulled in $3.6 million from 2,772 theaters. That’s a tepid result, but one that matches to Neeson’s other COVID capers like “Honest Thief” ($3.6 million debut) and “The Marksman” ($3.1 million debut).

“Blacklight” landed in fifth place behind “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which earned $7.1 million in its ninth weekend of release. Sony’s comic book epic has earned $759.001 million at the North American box office, putting “No Way Home” less than $1 million away from passing James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster “Avatar” ($760 million) to become the third-highest grossing domestic release in history (not adjusted for inflation).

Elsewhere, director Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic “Moonfall” collapsed in its second weekend of release. The sci-fi adventure dropped to the No. 7 spot and brought in $2.85 million from 3,446 theaters, plummeting 71% from its already-weak $10 million opening. The movie, which cost $140 million to produce, has generated a dismal $15.15 million so far.

See this weekend’s domestic box office estimates:

“Death on the Nile” — $12.8 million

“Jackass Forever” — $8,050 million

“Marry Me” — $8 million

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” — $7.1 million

“Blacklight” — $3.6 million

Lizzo Says She Would Love to Be in ‘Playboy,’ Tells Cardi B to ‘Call Me’

Lizzo is ready to have her own spread in Playboy. TMZ caught up with the singer on Saturday night at Drake’s Super Bowl show, where she revealed that she would love to appear in the magazine. “Oh my God, tell Cardi [B] to call me!” Lizzo said.

“I LOVE Playboy!,” she continued. “Yeah, I’ll do it!” Lizzo and Cardi B previously collaborated on the 2021 song “Rumors” and the Bronx native was later named Playboy’s first Creative Director in Residency.

Lizzo also got some new piercings this weekend, during a piercing party she hosted for her team. “I have so many piercings right now, I never thought I’d be this girl!” she told the outlet. When asked how many piercings she got, she replied, “You can’t see my coochie, I can’t show you.” She reiterated again as she was taking photos and giving autographs, “I can’t show you! I can’t show TMZ my pussy!”

When someone asked if she could see herself performing at the Super Bowl someday, Lizzo said, “Oh my god. Call me!”

Lizzo threw the party for her team this weekend. “They’ve been working so hard lately. I wanted to treat them to something memorable,” the singer’s TikTok said.

'Ghostbusters' Director Ivan Reitman Passes Away at 75

Ivan Reitman, the director behind the original Ghostbusters films, has sadly died.

His family confirmed the sad news to the Associated Press, revealing Ivan passed way peacefully in his sleep Saturday night (February 12) at his home in Montecito, Calif.

“Our family is grieving the unexpected loss of a husband, father, and grandfather who taught us to always seek the magic in life,” Ivan‘s three children, Jason Reitman, Catherine Reitman and Caroline Reitman said in a joint statement.

They continued, “We take comfort that his work as a filmmaker brought laughter and happiness to countless others around the world. While we mourn privately, we hope those who knew him through his films will remember him always.”

Jason, who stepped behind the camera to continue the family legacy for Ghostbusters Afterlife, brought his dad to the premiere late last year.

In addition to Ghostbusters, Ivan also produced National Lampoon’s Animal House, and then directed Meatballs and Stripes.

Dave Chappelle Says He’s Not Against Affordable Housing

Comedian Dave Chappelle is in the news after he threatened to pull millions of dollars of investments from his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio if the town went forward with a plan that includes building affordable housing.

A spokeswoman for the comedian said Thursday that Chappelle didn’t kill affordable housing, but rather he and other residents were concerned about a “half-baked plan which never actually offered affordable housing.”

Multiple Yellow Springs villagers, including entertainer, lobbied against the project. The statement described the plan as a poorly-vetted, cookie cutter sprawl development deal with little regard for the community.

Last week Chappelle spoke briefly before a council meeting and said he’d pull his company, Iron Table Holdings LLC off the table if they approve the plans to build the one-point-seven-five acres of more affordable housing.

“I don’t know why the village council would be afraid of litigation from a $24 million a year company while they ex out a $65 million a year company,” Chappelle told council members. “I cannot believe you would make me audition for you. You look like clowns. I am not bluffing,” he said. “I will take it all off the table.”

According to The Dayton Daily News, Chappelle has plans for a restaurant called Firehouse Eatery and comedy club called Live from YS in the area.

The council voted 2-2 and rejected the plan and instead agreed to build 143 single-family homes with a starting price of 300-thousand dollars.

Issa Rae Becomes the First Person to Receive a Key to the City of Inglewood: 'Always Put on for My City'

Issa Rae is experiencing a case of life imitating art.

The Emmy Award nominee, 37, received the first-ever key to Inglewood in the city's 114 years of incorporation at Saturday's Taste of Inglewood festival. The moment came shortly after her loosely self-based Insecure character was bestowed the same honor onscreen.

Mayor James T. Butts presented the key to "Issa Rae, the queen of Inglewood" during the festival, which was held across the street from SoFi stadium, where Super Bowl LVI will kick off Sunday.

"I'm a little emotional, I'm trying to be a thug right now. The mayor really flabbergasted me in that this is the first key in 114 years. It's a huge honor and I just want to thank you all so much for your support. Thank you to the mayor, thank you to the city of Inglewood for making it so easy for us to film here, for helping us to showcase this city that I love so much," Rae said in her speech.

"I have to give love to my grandparents who have lived here, who have lived in Briarwood for a long time and who established my first point of view of Inglewood and love the city themselves; my mom and my sister who live here actively," she continued. "And just for being here, I have to give a shout-out to my collaborators and my company members at Hoorae who have come out here to support me. But I'm truly honored to receive this. I will always put on for my city. Inglewood, South L.A., stand up."

The historic moment mirrored a fantasy sequence in the recent fifth and final season of Insecure, except it was Mayor Tyra Banks who presented her with the key to Inglewood.

Rae, a native of Inglewood, has predominantly featured the city and surrounding areas in her HBO show, which ended its five-season run in December. She also spotlights the region and various locals in her HBO Max reality series Sweet Life: Los Angeles.

The Lovebirds actress previously opened up to PEOPLE about her passion for helping Black businesses succeed in her community. "I feel like if we're not going to do it ourselves, nobody else will," she said in December. "No one else puts the care that we do into us."

"Just thinking about shopping small and Black businesses in general, the last couple of years, even in my neighborhood, our businesses have been most affected by the pandemic. And so to be able to just support them genuinely and supporting families feels right and important to me, especially during this holiday season," Rae added.

Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya Star in First Trailer for Jordan Peele's New Horror Movie Nope

Jordan Peele is back in the saddle. The first trailer for his upcoming horror movie Nope dropped on Sunday, giving fans a look at what to expect from stars Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya.

The trailer doesn't give too much of the movie's plot away, but it does introduce Palmer and Kaluuya's characters as a pair who work on Hollywood's only Black-owned horse training ranch.

That is, until something otherworldly starts flipping things upside-down — literally.

Nope marks the Oscar-winning Get Out writer/director's follow-up to 2019's Us and also stars Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea, and Barbie Ferreira.

WATCH

Peele, 42, announced the release date and shared the first poster for Nope back on July 22, one year out from its theater debut. Plot details remained under wraps, though the promo poster showed a dark cloud above what appeared to be a carnival.

In October, Palmer told HollywoodLife that it was a "dream" of hers to work with Peele — and she slid into his DMs to tell him as much.

"What is so funny is I realized that when I started doing Nope, I went to Jordan Peele's messages, for whatever reason why, and I see in the messages that I had messaged him a year ago saying, 'Hey, it would be a dream to work with you. I would love to get the opportunity to maybe one day. Thank you for everything you're doing.' And then a year or two years later, I'm doing Nope," she said at the time.

Additionally, Palmer told Refinery29 in April that joining the project just felt right. "It's just the kinda thing that's serendipitous. Things are aligned. It's like the things you wish for actually coming to fruition," she shared.

In 2019, Peele told NPR why he gravitates toward horror movies, a genre he reinvented and reinvigorated with Get Out back in 2017.

"I think it is connected to getting over my own fears: my fears growing up, my fears as a kid watching movies. I'd watch these commercials for the Time-Life Mysteries of the Unknown books... and I would freak out. But I would want it," he explained. "I had this weird love-hate where I would ... if I got to sneak a horror movie at a friend's house, there was nothing more I would want to do. Then, of course, it would keep me up at night."

"But creating them, I think, helps me deal with fear and makes me feel stronger and braver," added Peele.

Nope hits theaters July 22.

Kanye Continues Rant Against Pete Davidson; Calls Him A “D—head”

Kanye isn’t letting up. It looks like there will be two headline shows this Sunday, the Super Bowl and Kanye’s rant against Pete Davidson.

The Yeezy shoe mogul isn’t letting up on his ex-wife’s new fling, this time calling animal a “d***head.”

“LOOK AT THIS D–KHEAD,” West, 44, captioned under a picture of Davidson and Kardashian taken by paparazzi last month. “I WONDER IF INSTAGRAM GONNA SHUT DOWN MY PAGE FOR DISSING HILARY CLINTON’S EX-BOYFRIEND.”

His latest bashing comes just weeks after Ye rapped about beating Davidson up on a new song he has with The Game.

But Davidson wasn’t the only person in the path of West’s rage, he also took shots at his longtime collaborator Kid Cudi and voiced his new issue with him. Apparently, he is not happy that he is friends with the “Saturday Night Live” player, whom West calls “Skete” instead of Pete.

“THE REASON I ASKED CUDI TO AT THE LEAST SPEAK TO SKETE IS BECAUSE FOR YEARS CUDI ALWAYS MADE IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS ME AND HIM AGAINST EVERYONE,” West claimed. “NOW THAT IM FIGHTING FOR MY FAMILY HE NOT BY MY SIDE THIS IS BIGGER THAN MUSIC.”

“I WOULD HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR THE LOYALTY IF IT WAS NEVER OFFERED AND I FOUND A COOL PICTURE CAUSE I LOVE CUDI AND ALWAYS WILL BUT DONDA2 IS ABOUT RUNNING BACK IN THAT BURNING HOUSE I RESPECT NOT EVERYONE GONNA BE READY FOR THE SMOKE,” he added.

West also took Cudi off the upcoming album because of his ties with the “King of Staten Island” star, but according to Cudi, he and West had already discussed the issue privately, Page Six reported.

“We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet,” Cudi, 38, tweeted. “You ain’t no friend. BYE.”

White father and son charged for allegedly chasing, shooting at Black FedEx driver in Mississippi

A Black FedEx driver, who says he was chased and shot at by a white father and son in a Mississippi neighborhood, is seeking justice.

According to NBC News, 24-year-old D’Monterrio Gibson and his lawyer, Carlos Moore, want authorities to hit the accused men with harsher charges for their actions.

Gibson said that on Jan. 24 he was just doing his job, dropping off packages in the City of Brookhaven, when he encountered the two men.

It was 7 p.m. and he had just dropped off a package on Junior Trail, the outlet reported.

Suddenly, a man in a white pickup truck began to honk at him and follow his van. Gibson wonton yes driving until he noticed another man standing in the middle of the road pointing a gun at him, he said.

Gibson recalled that the man told him to “stop.” However, he decided to keep going, driving around the man who began to shoot at him as he drove off.

The pickup truck continued to follow him to an interstate, Gibson said. And when he called the police, the dispatcher said that they had received a call regarding a “suspicious person” in the neighborhood Gibson had just come from.

Upon returning to the station, Gibson and his manger noticed the bullet holes in his van and the packages. They found multiple bullets on the van’s floor, NBC reports. The next day, Gibson and his boss filed the police report.

The incident Gibson said has left him traumatized. He said that he believes the men pursued him because he is Black and because they thought he didn’t belong in their neighborhood.

Moore said that both suspects, Brandon Case, and his father, Gregory Case, turned themselves in on Feb. 1. But they posted bail the next day on bonds worth $75,000 and $150,000, NBC reports.

While Gregory Case was arrested on investigation of conspiracy and Brandon Case was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, Moore and his client want both men to face federal hate crime charges on top of stricter penalties.

Moore told TIME that he has had conversations about the late January incident with officials inside the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights division.  He said he was told by Brookhaven Police that the FBI collected materials related to the case on Thursday (Feb. 11).

“The federal government is taking this seriously and we do believe that they are looking into it for [possible] hate crime,” Moore told TIME.

These men are still on the loose,” Moore said. “They chased him to the interstate last time, what’s stopping them from chasing him now. What’s stopping them from going after him at this point?”

“No one was ever brought to justice,” Moore added.

Many have likened this case to the deadly encounter between Ahmaud Arbery and the three convicted white men who chased him through a south Georgia neighborhood in February 2020.
