#RHOA: Is Former Housewife Kim Zolciak-Biermann Is Having Money Issues?
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are noticing signs of money woes for show alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann. The OG housewife has been promoting her and her children's various business endeavors while also encouraging her followers to donate. Considering the recent cancellation of her spin-off show, Don't Be Tardy, and her husband paying off a hefty debt in June, spectators are beginning to wonder if Kim is asking for donations because she's facing financial hardships. The mother of six isn't cashing a check from Bravo anymore and it looks like she has gotten desperate.
A lot has changed for Kim in recent months. Don't Be Tardy was canceled after eight seasons because producers claimed it ran its course. The cancellation came amid a cast shakeup on her former show, RHOA, where fellow OG NeNe Leakes ignited a war against Bravo. When calling out the network, NeNe even insinuated discrimination played a part in Kim and Lisa Vanderpump being the only two former housewives to secure their own spin-offs. But with Kim's show getting axed, it looks like her alleged favoritism with the network came to an end.
Last week, Kim's followers noticed an update to her Instagram bio that included a link to her LinkTree account. "Dont b Tardy 2 our party! Bravo star13yrs 6 kids, 5 dogs, 4 companies and growing," Kim's bio reads before including her booking information. On her LinkTree, Kim highlights her family businesses, including her skincare brand Kashmere, her SaltyK swimwear line, and the cosmetic line she recently launched with her daughters, Brielle and Ariana Biermann, KAB Cosmetics. At the bottom, Kim included a link where her supporters could donate $5, $10, $20, $50, or an amount of their choosing, as captured by All About The Tea. But after the word of Kim's donation request hit the press, Kim seemingly deleted the donation link.
The donation request left many onlookers under the impression that Kim is possibly having money issues. With the news being made public and Kim opting to delete the link, it also hints at the speculation offending her. Her donation request came two months after her husband Kroy Biermann finally paid off a $22,000 debt he owed to his former sports agents. After one of Kim's followers recently asked what Kroy does for a living since retiring from professional sports, Kim posted an Instagram story revealing his current work as the family's manager.
Kim shared a post declaring, "Kroy manages all of our careers and @SaltyKSwim he also made close to 20 mill so we are good." But many onlookers think Kim is just trying to save face after her donation request was put on blast. With Kim having no reality TV check coming through, The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans think that desperate times are calling for desperate measures. Maybe Kim will consider returning to her Housewives role now that her spin-off show dried out.
#MusicNews: Justin Bieber & Megan Thee Stallion Lead 2021 MTV VMA Nominations!
Justin Bieber and Megan Thee Stallion lead all nominees for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. The nominations, which MTV announced on Wednesday (Aug. 11), include seven for Bieber and six for Stallion, both of whom are vying for artist of the year against Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, first time nominee Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift.
Other first-timers include The Kid LAROi and 24kGoldn, who got nods in multiple categories, including best new artist for both, song of the year for Goldn's breakthrough hit "Mood," and Push performance of the year for LAROi's "Without You" set in April of this year.
For the First Time in VMA History, 2 Female Collabs Are Nominated for Video of the Year
Other multiple nominees for the show slated to air live from the Barclays Center in New York on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. include Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon and Lil Nas X, all of whom got five nods apiece. The show will be simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1 and The CW Network.
Fans can start voting in the 14 gender-neutral categories starting Wednesday at MTV.com for the broadcast that the network said is set to be one of the first fan-filled awards shows in New York since the city's recent reopening. "The health and safety of artists, fans, staff and partners remain the number one priority, and MTV and Barclays Center are working closely with state and local officials to implement best practices in order to safely bring together music fans from around the globe," read a press release about the efforts to put on a COVID-safe event even as the much more contagious Delta variant continues to race across the nation. Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic will serve as executive producer and Barb Bialkowski as co-executive producer of the 2021 VMAs.

Cardi B and Lizzo are getting fans excited for their forthcoming collaboration. Days after announcing their new song
“Rumors,” the two took to Instagram to reveal the official cover art for the record.
The picture captures the side profiles of Cardi and Lizzo, who are adorned with nude-colored makeup, long golden nails and gold jewelry. “Fun fact: we took this picture right after Cardi whispered, ‘I want to eat yo pussy’ in my ear,” Lizzo captioned her post. “RUMORS THIS FRIDAY YOU READY?”
As for the rapper’s caption, it simply reminded fans of the song’s release date and confirmed that the accompanying picture was the artwork for the single.
Lizzo responds to rumor that she killed a fan by stage-diving on them
Lizzo first announced the Cardi B-assisted song and release date on Monday (Aug. 9) when she posted a video of a FaceTime call. At the start of the clip, fans saw her calling a contact stored as “Rumors Feat.” Cardi responded, and the “Truth Hurts” vocalist told fans about the collaboration.
“Good morning muthafucka!” Lizzo said. “That’s who it’s featuring y’all, period.” In a follow-up post, she confirmed, “We really did that.”
“Rumors” is set to drop on Friday (Aug. 13). Though it is Cardi B and Lizzo’s first-ever collaboration, the two have been cool for some time. In fact, during an interview last year, the “Up” emcee told Hot 97 that Lizzo was supposed to make an appearance in her and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” video, but the visual was filmed while the vocalist was on an already-scheduled vacation.

“I’m cool with Lizzo and everything. Like, we’ve been sending DMs to each other and all that, but she was on vacation, and she wasn’t in town,” Cardi said at the time. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh’ because I had a whole vision about how I want to see Lizzo and everything.”
Britney Spears’ Father Agrees To Step Down As Conservator of Her Finances!
After months of public pressure, James Spears said he will step down as conservator for his daughter pop singer Britney Spears.
He agreed to be removed from his daughter’s conservatorship so long as the transition is orderly and resolves all pending matters related to his acts as her conservator, he said in a filing Thursday with the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Within that document James Spears’ lawyers claim there were no actual grounds for his suspension or removal and that it is “highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests.”
No timeline was laid out for the change.
The news comes just weeks after Britney Spears’ attorney filed a petition to replace her father as conservator with a certified public accountant.
Much of Thursday’s filing targeted James Spears’ ex-wife, Lynne Spears, who recently began supporting her daughter in court after years of limited involvement with the conservatorship.
Lynne Spears had claimed James Spears was asserting “absolutely microscopic control” over Britney Spears throughout the conservatorship and alleged that he was incapable of putting his daughter’s interests above his own.
Lawyers for James Spears said Lynne Spears has been absent from her daughter’s life for most of the last 12 years and accused her of exploiting Britney by publishing a book about her in 2008.
“Instead of criticizing Mr. Spears, Lynne should be thanking him for ensuring Ms. Spears’ well-being and for persevering through the years-long tenure requiring his 365/24/7 attention, long days and sometimes late nights, to deal with day-to-day and emergency issues,” the lawyers wrote in the filing.
Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship for 13 years after publicly dealing with mental health issues, but the pop star has been petitioning for an end to the arrangement.
Former federal prosecutor and Hollywood lawyer Mathew Rosengart began representing the singer last month. As her new attorney, Rosengart filed a petition in late July to replace her father as conservator with Jason Rubin, a principal at Certified Strategies, a firm that has experience in estate financial management, elder financial abuse investigation, investment fraud investigation and securities litigation.
“We are pleased that Mr. Spears and his lawyer have today conceded in a filing that he must be removed. It is vindication for Britney. We are disappointed, however, by their ongoing shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others,” Rosengart said in a statement.
Rosengart’s statement indicated that this is not the end of the legal battle between the two.
“We look forward to continuing our vigorous investigation into the conduct of Mr. Spears, and others, over the past 13 years, while he reaped millions of dollars from his daughter’s estate, and I look forward to taking Mr. Spears’s sworn deposition in the near future,” Rosengart said.
The singer’s assets are valued at more than $50 million. She has made several claims of abuse against her father, alleging he has used the arrangement for personal gain. James Spears has publicly denied these accusations.
When James Spears encountered health issues in 2019, Jodi Montgomery, a licensed private fiduciary, was appointed in a temporary role within the conservatorship. Montgomery is reportedly onboard with Britney Spears’ desire to remove the guardianship and is well-liked by the singer

Chrissy Teigen Denies Claims She Deleted Negative Comments On Her Social Media!
Chrissy Teigen is calling out her “haters” on social media.

Chrissy also admitted some social media users get “all sorts of mad” at her if she leaves a positive comment on someone’s post, because she is “alive.”

This comes after Chrissy admitted last month (Jul21) she felt “lost” and “depressed” after becoming a part of “cancel club.”

Jeopardy!’ Announces Mike Richards And Mayim Bialik As New Hosts!
The Jeopardy! host search is over and there will be not one but two people following in Alex Trebek's footsteps.
Sony Pictures Television announced Wednesday that Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards will become host of the long-running daily syndicated program and actress Mayim Bialik will host primetime and spin-off specials.
"Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced that Mike Richards and Mayim Bialik have been named as the new hosts of Jeopardy!," a press release says. "Richards will kick off Season 38 as the full-time host of Jeopardy!’s long-running daily syndicated program. Bialik joins as the host of Jeopardy!’s primetime and spinoff series, including the upcoming all-new Jeopardy! National College Championship set to air on ABC next year, as the studio looks to extend the Jeopardy! franchise to new platforms. Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time winner Ken Jennings will return as consulting producer for the show."
It's noted that Richards will continue to serve as executive producer of Jeopardy! as well as Wheel of Fortune.
“We are thrilled to begin the next chapter of America’s Favorite Quiz Show with Mike hosting our daily show and Mayim hosting new versions of Jeopardy!,” said Ravi Ahuja, Chairman of Global Television Studios and Corporate Development for Sony Pictures. “We took this decision incredibly seriously. A tremendous amount of work and deliberation has gone into it, perhaps more than has ever gone into the selection of hosts for a show – deservedly so because it’s Jeopardy! and we are following the incomparable Alex Trebek."
Ahuja said they knew they wanted to divide the hosting duties, and "it became very clear that Mike and Mayim were the undeniable choices" and are confident the pair "will carry on the legacy of this iconic show."
Richards said he was "deeply honored" and "incredibly humbled," having worked with Trebek and being "fortunate to witness his professionalism, intensity and kindness up close."
Bialik said she was "thrilled," adding, "What started out with my 15-year-old repeating a rumor from Instagram that I should guest host the show has turned into one of the most exciting and surreal opportunities of my life!"
Production on Season 38 begins in mid-August, with new episodes starting September 13.
Both Richards and Bialik were among the guest hosts filling in following the November death of Trebek from pancreatic cancer. Others included LeVar Burton, Aaron Rodgers, Ken Jennings, Robin Roberts, Savannah Guthrie and Katie Couric.
There has been buzz around Richards stepping into the role — and not the best kind. After it was reported he was in talks to be the permanent host, Jeopardy! watchers complained on social media saying he wasn't as good as some of the other guest hosts.
Then, allegations surfaced that Richards mistreated workers when he was at The Price Is Right in the 2010s. He denied the alleged pregnancy discrimination and workplace abuse, which he had been sued over, telling Jeopardy! staff that the allegations do not "reflect the reality of who I am or how we worked together." He also insisted he "would not say anything to disrespect anyone's pregnancy and have always supported my colleagues on their parenting journeys."

Monica Reveals She’s Working On A Country Album!
After nearly three 30 years of belting out R&B songs, Monica is trying out another genre. During a recent interview with Billboard, the “Boy is Mine” singer revealed she’s in the process of working on a country album, noting her love for country music started as a young child.
“I grew up loving country music and my stepfather, who raised me, is a Methodist minister, but he also drove buses, and he would take us to Nashville, Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Tennessee,” she explained. “I became a really big fan of Dolly Parton at about eight or nine years old. That was my real introduction to country music.”

“Shortly after, it was Kenny Rogers,” Monica continued. “I started listening to the depth of the songs and the fact that they were unafraid to say whatever it was they felt. I felt like this was a great time for me to really step into an area that I’ve always admired and loved.” The singer added that she’s been welcomed into the genre with “open arms,” receiving features on records with Jimmie Allen, Little Big Town, Dolly Parton, Rita Wilson and Sara Evans.
Monica is the latest artist to actively express her interest in country music with the release of her own country record. Lil Nas X’s debut single “Old Town Road” landed him a feature from Billy Ray Cyrus, who appeared on the remix to the song.

Nelly — who released the Tim McGraw-assisted “Over and Over” — is preparing to drop another country-inspired album. Dolly Parton penned a record for K. “R&B and soul music is the foundation of country music,” H.E.R. explained while accepting the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist at the BET Awards 2021. “There wouldn’t be a lot of those other genres if it was not for Black music.”

Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott, was reportedly hospitalized following an alleged suicide attempt.
Per TMZ, police report that they had received a call about a suicidal person at a Michigan home. Upon arrival at the home, police had to restrain Scott.
Officers discovered that the 46-year-old had multiple cuts on her arms and legs, with blood on the floor. She was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and is now recovering at home. The alleged incident happened after Scott’s mother died.
Kim’ also previously lost her sister, Dawn Scott, to a heroin overdose in 2016.
“Dawn was my sweet, beautiful sister who lost her way,” Kim wrote in a condolence book. “I kept a light lit for her hoping she’d find her way back to me. I miss her and love her more than anything I could ever say. I wish she was here so I could hug her and tell her I love her. Half of me is gone and I will never feel whole again. She made me laugh and kept me on my toes. She was the best sister and friend in the world and I will miss her until we are together again.”
Eminem and Kim were married in 1999, they share daughter Hailie together. They got divorced in 2001, before briefly getting remarried in 2006.
Lil Nas X Says He’s Found ‘The One’!
Lil Nas X is in love. The rapper, 22, revealed in a new interview that he believes the unidentified person he is dating is “the one.”
“I’ve had some good boyfriends and some bad ones,” he told Variety of his romantic past in the magazine’s 2021 Power of Young Hollywood Issue, published Wednesday. “A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot.”
However, the “Industry Baby” singer said his love life has since improved.
“I’ve found someone special now,” he shared. “I think this is the one. I can’t explain it — it’s just a feeling.”
Although Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, did not divulge whom he is dating right now, there has been speculation that he is in a relationship with his backup dancer Yai Ariza since the pair have packed on the PDA in various TV appearances.
In May, Ariza licked Lil Nas X’s neck during a performance of “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” on “Saturday Night Live.”
The Colombian-born dancer proudly shared the moment on his Instagram, writing, “This moment right here 🔥 Yes, It’s me licking @lilnasx Neck 👅😈.”
The duo then broke the internet by becoming the first male entertainers to share a kiss on the lips onstage during Lil Nas X’s performance at the 2021 BET Awards in June.

Porsha Williams Announces She’s Leaving ‘Dish Nation’!
Porsha Williams took to Instagram Wednesday to announce that she will be leaving the Dish Nation show after eight years.
“Goodbyes are never easy, and this one is especially hard. For the past eight years, I’ve worked on one of the most fun, collaborative, exciting, and best produced shows on television,” the reality TV star wrote. “But as I continuously start new chapters in my life, it means I have to close others.”
In the caption, Williams revealed her last day would be August 27.
She thanked everyone at Dish, including her co-hosts past and present, the crew, and the network.
“Thank you all for an unforgettable run and almost 10 years of my life I am eternally grateful for,” she closed her post. “Keep dishing!”
On Sunday, rumors began to circulate on the internet that Williams was hinting at leaving the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She cryptically posted “You can literally feel when it’s time to move into your life’s next chapter” to her Instagram story.
Williams has received harsh criticism from her RHOA cast members and viewers after revealing her relationship with Simon Guobadia. The two were introduced through Guobadia’s ex-wife and Williams’ co-star, Falynn Guobadia.
The two went public in May by announcing their engagement on social media. The revelation came just one month after Falynn and Simon announced their divorce.

The official trailer for A Journal for Jordan hit the internet. The film is directed by Denzel Washington, and Michael B. Jordan stars as the lead actor–a married sergeant in the Army. Actress Chanté Adams stars as his wife.
The film’s plot revolves around the true story of First Class Sergeant Charles Monroe King. While serving overseas, Charles Monroe King wrote various heartfelt letters to his infant son, Jordan. However, tragedy struck when Charles Monroe King was killed in Iraq when his son was only seven months old. Resultingly, his wife–Dana Canedy–kept Charles Monroe King‘s letters in a book for their son to keep. Dana Canedy also wrote a memoir on the situation, titled A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor.
A Journal for Jordan is scheduled to premiere this Christmas.

Joshua Bassett Says He Faced Homophobia After Coming Out!
Joshua Bassett may be his most authentic life right now after coming out in May, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been subjected to homophobia.
The “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” star recently opened up to Attitude UK Magazine about his coming out experience and the profound effect it has had on him.
News of Joshua coming out first started when he admitted that Harry Styles was ‘hot’ and said, “I guess this is my coming out video,” in an interview.
The media went wild with the particular quotes and the news spread like wildfire. Joshua said the moment didn’t worry him at all.
“My team were making me aware that [the interview] was blowing up, and they were, like, ‘What are we going to do?’ I said, ‘I’m not worried about it, let’s see what happens… I don’t think I need to say anything about it,'” he explained. “But it kept going and growing – I was seeing comments and stuff, and I was, like, this is an important opportunity to say something that I’ve wanted to say for a while, but never felt like I had to, and never felt like I could.”
Prior to coming out, Joshua explained to fans that as a young kid he was always taught “Boys Don’t Cry,” and he was forced to suppress his “sensitive side.”
He admitted he cut himself off from his tender side completely and it hardened him. Joshua noted that this is how toxic masculinity is engrained in people from a young age.
Since coming out, Joshua has faced toxic masculinity and homophobia.
“This was the first time where I was subjected to a lot of homophobia. You know, I seem ‘straight’ to everyone I meet, pretty much, and I have had to see that [homophobia] first-hand,” the “Feel Something” singer told the Attitude. “Seeing that put things into perspective, of how far along we aren’t yet; I thought we were a lot further on than we are.”
Despite all of the negative responses, Joshua noted that there has been an overflowing amount of love and support hurled his way.
“On the flip side of all that are the responses I’ve gotten from people saying, ‘I’ve never had somebody put into words exactly how I feel,'” he added.
Fans have thanked him for helping them feel seen and be seen. Joshua’s coming has made fans feel ‘safer and a bit more at home.’
“People can hate me forever and say the nastiest thing possible, but it will not change a thing, because you need to stand tall and face those people as an advocate for all the people without a voice,” he added. “Ultimately, all that garbage melts away from one story, let alone thousands of people telling me I’ve changed their life – which is wild, but a crazy honor.”

David Schwimmer Breaks Silence on Report He's Dating Jennifer Aniston!
Friends fans got a reason to freak out last night when tabloid Closer reported that co-stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, who are currently both single and spoke about having crushes on each other during the show, were dating. But in the hours since that report came out, Schwimmer's reps denied it, DeuxMoi (which runs celebrity gossip submissions it receives but does not verify) shut the claim down too “on VERY good authority,” and Us Weekly ran its own report about what Aniston looks for in a partner as she is still single.
Here's what Closer, a British tabloid, claimed, courtesy a “source”: “After the [Friends] reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there. They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA.”
“They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing. They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favorite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.”
Schwimmer's reps denied reports that he and Aniston were dating to The Independent today, saying that “there are no truths to the rumors of a romance,” per the UK outlet.
DeuxMoi posted on its Instagram Story that the report was false, too. “I forgot to add I have it on VERY good authority that this is not true,” they wrote.

Queen Bey has got her own colony of honey bees. Beyoncé graces the cover of the new September issue of Harper's Bazaar, and in the accompanying q&a-style interview which hit the internet today, the multi-hyphenate told the outlet about her interesting at-home endeavors.
“I’m building a hemp and a honey farm. I’ve even got hives on my roof,” she told the publication. The “Formation” singer elaborated to say that she began “creating positive rituals drawing from past generations and putting my own spin on things,” while in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. These rituals include using CBD (which is derived from hemp) and honey for relaxation and healing.
Beyoncé doesn't reveal exactly where her land of hemp and honey is located, but it could be at any number of properties she owns along with her husband, billionaire rapper Jay-Z. The couple is famous for being ultra-private, but in 2017, reports surfaced that they spent $88 million on a 30,000-square-foot modern-style mansion in Bel-Air with bulletproof glass doors. That same year, they reportedly picked up a waterfront mansion in East Hampton, New York for $26 million. They also reportedly own a historic home in New Orleans which was built in 1926 and was previously a ballet school. (Recently, that home was in the news when it caught fire. The incident is being investigated as possible arson.) In the past, they've owned property in New York City as well, though it is unclear if they currently do.
Where ever it is that she keeps her hives, Beyoncé is far from the only celebrity to get into beekeeping lately. The past time has become quite trendy, and Beyoncé's fellow famous beekeepers include Kate Middleton, who revealed earlier this year that she keeps bees and makes her own honey at her country home, Anmer Hall. The Duchess's brother, James Middleton, is also an extremely avid beekeeper and even penned an essay about his love of it for the Daily Mail last year. Jennifer Garner, Martha Stewart, and Morgan Freeman are all beekeepers as well.
Mom Of Three Who Recieved Over 200k In Donations Tells The Truth Stating “Im Just The Sitter”!
A Las Vegas mother claimed she was facing eviction and asking for donations to assist. She received more the $200,000 and is stating she is just the babysitter of the three kids that she proclaimed to be her children.
Last week Dasha Kelly was assisted with the three girls ages 5, 6 and 8 in her segment on the federal eviction moratorium that had ended a few days prior. On Monday she ended up releasing to CNN that she was not the biological mother of the girls according to NYpost.
Kelly “generated a lot of interest” after the network found her online fundraiser seeking $1,900 to pay back rent.
“My name is Kelly and I have 3 daughters in Nevada,” her plea read. “We were maintaining just before this pandemic hit. Now we are suffering … Please help with anything you can.”
In the visit to CNN the three young girls were referring to Kelly as their mother, but then another woman, Shadia Halo, later came forward and identified herself as the biological mother.
“And yes, Shadia Halo is their mother,” Watt stated. “We have seen the birth certificates. And now we know that Dasha Kelly is dating the girls’ father.”
Kelly states the reason she refers to herself as the girls mother because she considered herself to be a maternal figure to the kids.
“I’m just so fortunate right now, this is beyond me,” Kelly told Bush. “When I put that up, I never thought that anybody would have reached out, especially CNN, and to hear that a congressperson — my story reached you — this is just amazing.”
Bush responded to Kelly Saying, “and so this is the least that we can do for you — is to step up and make sure that you get to stay in the safety and the comfort of your home while we work on other things to help make sure that your life and the lives of your children are better,” the Missouri Democrat told Kelly. “This is the least we can do for you.”
Store Employee Fatally Shot After Trying to Break Up Altercation over Shoe Raffle!
According to reports, a shoe store employee in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles was fatally shot after attempting to deescalate an altercation between customers over a shoe raffle.
LAPD officers told reporters the shooting took place around 12:20 PM local time. When authorities arrived, a man in his late 20s was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“I heard he was coming into work and he saw it happening and tried to deescalate it,” said one witness. “They tried to surround him so he kind of just backed up like ‘Hey, ill fight you guys,’ and the guy pulled out a gun and shot him.”
“It’s very heartbreaking because he just lived down the street, he walked to work,” the victim’s friend Eric Tacam said. “He was from Colorado. He moved out here last year and he was pursuing his career to become a musician. He was just a nice person, a great person. Every time I came in, my family came in, he always took care of us, he always looked out for us.”
Police are still searching for the suspect who fled the scene a silver Toyota Camry.
High School Basketball Coaches Charged With Murder After Player Dies From Training in Dangerous Heat!
Two high school basketball coaches in Atlanta have been charged with second-degree murder after one of their players collapsed during outdoor conditioning drills in August 2019.
A grand jury found that Larosa Maria Walker-Asekere and Dwight Broom Palmer were to blame for “conducting outdoor conditioning training for student-athletes in dangerous heat,” which led to the death of 16-year-old Imani Bell.
On August 13, 2019, the heat index rose to 106 degrees Fahrenheit the day of Bell’s collapse.
The autopsy report revealed that on the last lap of the conditioning drill that day, which included running a set of stairs, Palmer noticed Bell was exhausted, so “he started walking the last lap with her and encouraged her.”
The coaches provided Bell with water, but when the teen reached the top of the stairs, she “leaned into the rail and then went limp,” court documents stated.
They have been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree child cruelty, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless conduct charges.
