Naomi Osaka with Cordae and Ciara and Russell Wilson for GQ ‘The Modern Lovers Issue 2021’!
What do you get when you pair a tennis star with a Grammy-nominated rapper, apparently a power couple? Young lovers Naomi Osaka and Cordae, although still fairly young, have earned the title of power couple through their activism and also their personal achievements in their various disciplines. Osaka was the highest-paid female athlete of all times in 2020. She was also ranked eighth among the athletes in the world for endorsement income. The tennis champ also secured her third Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open.

On the topic of Cordae, he is also nothing to sneeze at. He earned two Grammy nominations in 2019 for his debut album “The Lost Boy.” Cordae started rapping at just 15 and released music under the name Entendre. At 21, he joined the group YBN and is most famously known for his remake of J. Cole’s “1985” and a remix of Eminem’s “My Name Is.” He was named a member of the XXL Freshman Class of emerging rappers in 2019 alongside popular names like DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, and Megan Thee Stallion, to name a few.

With achievements like that under their belt, it’s no surprise that the couple has just gained a new accomplishment appearing on the cover of GQ’s Modern Lover Issue. This is definitely one couple to keep an eye on. If they were able to cop this coveted cover, what else can we expect from them?

It’s no surprise to their fans and friends as both parties have been recognized before for their work as activists. Cordae participated in the Black Lives Matter protest from as far back as 2016. The young rapper was even arrested last July at a Louisville Breonna Taylor protest. Similarly, Osaka made commitments to the movement and was named one of 2020’s Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the year.
It’s safe to say the couple’s dedication to justice helped to earn them a spot on one of three covers for the March edition of GQ’s magazine, suitably titled “Modern Lovers.”
GQ’s Editor-In-Chief Will Welch noted: “To tell a bunch of love stories that we’d never heard before,” the “Modern Lovers” March edition of the magazine aims to explore what makes lovers “modern now.” He further explained why the young couple was chosen and wrote, “Like so many inspiring figures of their generation, activism seems to come naturally to them. In their cover profile, by Mark Anthony Green, we learn that Naomi and Cordae didn’t have to discover that they could use their voices to instigate change—they just knew on instinct. Now, that’s modern.”

Another power couple, Ciara and Russell Wilson will also grace an alternative cover of the same issue. When you make mention of this specific power couple, you will hear the words “couple goals” repeatedly. Many fans frequently inquire as to the specific prayer Ciara prayed to be blessed with an incredible man such as Russell. He is a loving and devoted husband and father who dotes on her in such a manner that makes many green-eyed with envy. He also recently won the NFL Man of the Year honor, and his loving wife was noted as being exceptionally proud.

The magazine issue features interviews with various couples and will be available on the GQ website.

#RHOA: Housewife NeNe Leakes Denies Being Dumped By Entire Team!
NeNe Leakes of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fame has denied a recent report claiming she has been let go by her entire team.
“For all of you that are asking, emailing, in boxing, blogging, reporting etc. The ONLY statement i have…My team DID NOT let me go! No further statements at this time,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

On Monday afternoon Love B Scott reported Leakes, 53, is no longer a client of Hollywood manger Steven Grossman, nor is she still repped by ICM talent agency. She also reportedly parted ways with lawyer Darrell Miller.
While Leakes denies she was fired, she did call out both Grossman and Miller in a since-deleted-tweet shortly before the report surfaced.
“You can’t turn on your teammate and get away with this @stevengrossman #DarrellMiller #Foxrothschild,” she tweeted. “Suppression, retaliation, discrimination, unequal pay, devaluation against black women is real, it’s painful and it hurts. I will fight for all women rights PS: FIX IT.”
Since her official departure from “RHOA,” Leakes has accused Bravo of discriminating against black talent, particularly black women. In December, she shared a petition to boycott the network.

“Stand up, protest, sign the petition & stop watching,” Leakes tweeted Feb. 1. “The treatment of black women behind the scene is wrong. Even the cast that’s currently filming knows wrong is & was happening. They try to silence us! We MUST speak up when wrong is happening. I won’t stop.”
She later added that co-star Porsha Williams is aware of the unfair treatment, but won’t speak up due to her fear of “losing her check.”

“I have numerous emails, text messages, RHOA group text, voice recording that go back yearsssss,” she added. “I never got rid of anything! Fix your dirty work. Being a racist is so yesterday.”

#MusicNews:Missy Elliott Teases New Collaboration With Ari Lennox!
It looks like we could be getting brand new music from Dreamville’s Ari Lennox and the legendary Missy Elliott.
The Queen of Hip-Hop shared a video Twitter with the caption"
“Ari Lennox played me some heat at the studio. Oh, yeah! She’s snappin’ on them new joints! Now let’s see what we Cook up.”

Meaning that we can definitely get something real soon.

What do you think?

#HipHopNews: Lil Wayne And Juelz Santana Working On New Joint Album!
Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana’s joint project is getting a revival.
The rappers’ lost album I Can’t Feel My Face never saw the light of day, but a new version appears to be in the works. During a recent interview with Report Card Radio’s Mikey T The Movie Star (via Complex), Dipset’s Un Kasa revealed that the Young Money boss and Diplomats MC are reworking their collaborative project.

“They got a whole new album now,” said Un Kasa. “I ain’t hear none of it. I might have heard some snippets before ‘Elz got incarcerated, but they got a whole new album that they supposed to put out together.”
While Un Kasa hasn’t been privy to the new material, he was around for “every moment” of the recording of the original I Can’t Feel My Face.

“Him and ‘Elz might have did a few songs together in the same studio but pretty much that whole project was coming through emails,” he recalled. “‘Elz would do a verse and a hook, send it to Wayne. No longer than 25 minutes to a half an hour, Wayne would have that shit sent back in an email.”
This was fresh off the June 2008 release of Tha Carter III when Wayne sold 1 million units in his first week. However, he still found time to record. “He did a song for Skull Gang on the day he went platinum. The day he found out he went platinum in a week, he sent two songs back for Skull Gang that never came out.”

The original I Can’t Feel My Face was never released, but Kasa says it wasn’t because of Weezy or Juelz. “I think the reason that album didn’t go–it wasn’t because of the artists or Wayne or ‘Elz,” he explained. “I don’t think they could figure out the business of it.”

Foo Fighters, Dionne Warwick, and Jay-Z Lead 2021 Rock Hall of Fame Nominations!
At last, something to celebrate! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has released its nominee list for the 2021 induction ceremony, with 16 genre-defying nominees making the cut: Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, the Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner, and Dionne Warwick. The shortlist will be slashed to reveal the official inductees in May, with the ceremony taking place “this fall” in Cleveland, Ohio. Of the nominees, several are first-timers. Foo Fighters and Jay-Z are being recognized in their first year of eligibility, while Blige, the Go-Go’s, Kuti, and Warwick are receiving their inaugural nods. For others, there’s a chance of additional glory: King had previously been inducted into the Rock Hall for her songwriting in 1990; while Turner, along with her musical partner Ike, was inducted in 1992. If inducted yet again, King and Turner will become the second and third female artists to get in the Rock Hall twice, after Stevie Nicks.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Hall was forced to permanently push back the timeframe of future ceremonies. Starting with the current 2021 class, the nominating and voting process will occur in February and May, respectively, and culminate in a fall ceremony. Chatting with Vulture last November, Rock Hall CEO Joel Peresman said that such a timing change was required to properly celebrate the inductees, and he’s “hopeful by next fall in some form that we’ll be able to get together again.” Until then, pour one out for Dave Matthews Band fans. Maybe next year.

Michelle Obama Is Launching A Children's Show On Netflix!
Michelle Obama announced on Tuesday that she will be launching a new children’s show on Netflix, Waffles + Mochi, focusing on healthy eating for children. The former First Lady took to Twitter to unveil the news that the show will premiere on Netflix on March 16.

“I’m excited for families and children everywhere to join us on our adventures as we discover, cook, and eat delicious food from all over the world,” Mrs. Obama wrote in her tweet.
She also shared that the new show is in collaboration with the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) “to help kids build healthy habits and help families in need cook with fresh ingredients together at home.”
Currently serving as an honorary chair for PHA, Obama will star in the show as the main character while also serving as an executive producer. The show will feature Obama as a supermarket owner along with two puppets, named Waffles and Mochi. The trio are on the road to become chefs while teaching the young viewers the importance of incorporating wellness into their lifestyle.

According to a tweet from Strong Black Lead, the titular puppets “come from the land of frozen foods,” but with the help of Obama, they are gearing up to “blast off on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms and homes all over the world.”
The premise of the show mirrors Obama’s previous national advocacy to prevent childhood obesity during her time as First Lady. Her time in the White House championed the “Let’s Move!” campaign, healthy eating platforms, and initiatives to provide families with access to affordable foods.

Waffles + Mochi is the first preschool series and latest project of Higher Ground Productions, Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company.

‘The Best Man’ Limited Series Starring Original Cast In The Works!
The original cast of The Best Man is getting back together to bring the hit film franchise to a streaming service.

According to Deadline, Peacock ordered a 10-episode limited series called “The Best Man: Final Chapters.” Malcolm D. Lee, the movies’ director and writer, is teaming up with former “Insecure” executive producer Dayna Lynne North to bring the series to life.
The star-studded cast from The Best Man and The Best Man Holiday is set to return, including Sanaa Lathan, Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Harold Perrineau, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Nia Long and Taye Diggs. Monica Calhoun is the only cast member that will be missing from the series because her character passed away from cancer in the film’s sequel.
“Here we go! The band is back together! I am very excited to bring these iconic characters back to the fans who have supported us through this franchise,” said Lee. “We are thrilled to deliver everything one would expect from this group of friends in The Best Man universe and take them through their final chapters. We can’t wait! I told you it wouldn’t be 14 more years.”

The series will focus on the relationships and friendships between Robyn, Harper, Jordan, Quentin, Lance, Shelby, Candace, and Murch. “The Best Man: Final Chapters” is set to begin filming in September.
The Best Man was originally released in 1999 and followed a group of old college friends who reunited for a wedding. The film’s Christmas-themed sequel, which was released in 2013, followed the same group of friends as they reunited for the holidays.

“We’re excited to reunite this beloved cast for a limited series run of The Best Man for Peacock,” said Susan Rovner, Chairman of Entertainment Content for NBCUniversal’s Television and Streaming division. “With a powerhouse duo like Malcolm and Dayna at the helm, fans will fall in love with our favorite group of friends all over again.”

Pepsico Is Rebranding Aunt Jemima Products As Pearl Milling Company As It Retires The Character Based On A Racial Stereotype!
The Aunt Jemima brand, usd on pancake mixes and syrups, was based on racial stereotypes.
Pearl Milling Company products will hit grocery stores shelves in June 2021, the company said.
Visit the Business section of Insider for more stories.

Aunt Jemima syrups and pancake mixes will be rebranded as Pearl Milling Company, PepsiCo said on Tuesday.
"Though new to store shelves, Pearl Milling Company was founded in 1888 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and was the originator of the iconic self-rising pancake mix that would later become known as Aunt Jemima," the company said in a press release.

PepsiCo, which owns Quaker Oats, said in June 2020 it would change the brand name on its Aunt Jemima products, which had long been criticized for their roots in racial stereotypes.
Launched about 130 years ago, the Aunt Jemima brand was in part based on racist stereotyping and imagery, like those seen in minstrel show performances.
"While work has been done over the years to evolve our brand in a manner intended to be appropriate and respectful, we realize that those changes are not enough," the company said on its updated website on Tuesday.

Aunt Jemima was one of several brands on grocery store shelves that came under scrutiny last year, as the US erupted with protests following the killing of George Floyd. The Uncle Ben's brand, owned by Mars, in September became Ben's Original. That brand also dropped its character image.

The newly rebranded Pearl Milling products will begin hitting shelves in June, PepsiCo said. The company's products will continue to be Aunt Jemima until then, though they'll no longer use the character images.
The company on Tuesday released pictures of its newly rebranded products, which have the familiar red-white-and-yellow coloring. They've been updated with the new brand name, along with smaller tags that say: "New name, same great taste, Aunt Jemima."

Along with the rebranding, PepsiCo said Pearl Milling Company planned to announce a $1 million grant program committed to empowering black girls and women. PepsiCo previously announced an about $400 million investment in black businesses and communities, the company said.

Britney Spears Left ‘Emotional’ But ‘Hopeful’ After New Documentary!
Britney Spears is “emotional” after finally seeing the heart-wrenching new documentary about her life, which has left her “hopeful she will finally be freed from the vice-like grip of her father” — and is working on her own version of her tale.
After celebrities and fans rallied around the singer following the release of the FX/New York Times doc “Framing Britney Spears,” a source close to the star said, “Britney finally feels like there is light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel.
“There are parts of the film that were too hard and emotional for her to watch — the scenes that describe the most difficult times of her life, the relentless media circus and the harsh focus on her as a young mother. But, she feels, for the first time in many years, that people are on her side and things will get better for her.

“She hopes that, because of this, she will be finally be freed from the vice-like grip of her father [Jamie Spears]. She is also very grateful and humbled by the public outcry, all the support from her fans and the celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker who have spoken out on her behalf.”
The New York Times’ “Framing Britney Spears” documentary covers the rise of Britney’s star, her mental health struggles and the mobilization of the #FreeBritney movement set in motion by her fans.

Spears, 39, is also quietly working on her own documentary about her life — said in her own words — with a top female filmmaker.
But under her current conservatorship, she fears her father could take control of the film to paint himself in a better light. She is battling in court to end her conservatorship under her father, which was put in place following her mental breakdown in 2007.

The source said about Britney’s father, “He is drunk with power over Britney’s life. She wants to work, she wants to make music and perform, but he is too controlling.
“He has set her up to fail. Britney hasn’t had the proper help she needs to be able to control her own finances, to fully deal with her mental health issues, to be the mother she wants to be.

“Jamie won’t let her have any freedom or responsibility over her own life. This summer, her father grounded her for three weeks because she dared to meet a friend for a socially-distanced walk on the beach and a heart-to-heart conversation. She’s 39 years old!
“He doesn’t want her to see her friends, he doesn’t want her to meet other people in the entertainment business, he tells her that everyone has bad intentions for her — when it plainly isn’t true.”
Even Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari is calling out Jamie Spears for allegedly “trying to control” his relationship with her.

“It’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way,” the 27-year-old said on his Instagram Story on Tuesday. “In my opinion, Jamie [Spears] is a total d–k.”
The fitness enthusiast, who is rarely this outspoken about his relationship with the pop star, added that he “won’t be going into details” about what caused him to speak out because he has previously “always respected our privacy.”
However, the Iranian-born actor concluded, “at the same time, I did not come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”

Following his social media post, Asghari told TMZ on Tuesday that he “hopes” he can be on good terms with Jamie, 67, one day, “once he starts treating his daughter right.”
Britney, 39, has been dating Asghari since the pair met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. Aside from posting pictures from their various vacations, the couple is usually private about the intimate details of their relationship.

But he told People on Monday after the release of the film, “I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together.”
Although this is the first time Asghari has spoken out against Jamie, Britney has been vocal in court documents against her father being her conservator.

In November, Britney’s attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, claimed in a hearing that the “Toxic” singer had become “afraid” of her dad and wanted him removed from her conservatorship. The next court date is Feb. 11.

Mark Cuban Stops Playing National Anthem Before Dallas Mavericks Home Games!
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Tuesday he decided before this season began not to play the national anthem before the team’s home games.
The Mavericks played their first 10 regular-season home games without fans. The club had fans for the first time in Monday’s 127-122 win over Minnesota. Dallas is allowing 1,500 vaccinated essential workers to attend games for free.

Cuban didn’t elaborate on his decision not to play the anthem, saying nobody had noticed. The Athletic first reported that Dallas had dropped the anthem.
NBA spokesman Tim Frank said, “Under the unique circumstances of this season, teams are permitted to run their pregame operations as they see fit.”

Cuban was outspoken against critics of NBA players and coaches kneeling during “The Star-Spangled Banner” when the 2019-20 season resumed in the bubble in Florida last summer.
The pregame national anthem is a staple of American sports at both the professional and collegiate level, but is far less commonplace at pro sporting events in other countries.

These Custom Nike Hyperdunks Were Made for President Obama. Now They Could Be Yours for $25,000!
Sneakerheads are always on the lookout for a pair of rare kicks. And they don’t come much more exclusive than a pair made for former President Barack Obama.

On Friday, a pair of Nike Hyperdunk basketball shoes custom made for No. 44 in 2009 are going up for sale on Sotheby’s Buy Now platform, just in time for President’s Day. But you don’t need to read the documentation to know that were meant for the erstwhile Commander-in-Chief, as they feature a number of design flourishes that make it abundantly clear who they belonged to.

If you’ve ever wondered what kind of basketball sneaker Obama favors, the answer is a classic high-top with plenty of ankle support. This specific pair, size 12.5, is based on the “United We Rise” Hyperdunks that the Team USA wore at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. They feature a white leather upper, visible Flywire technology and dark blue accents, including Nike’s iconic swoosh. The shoes also feature a number of Presidential details, including a red and blue “44” embroidered on the medial side of both toes, an insole with patriotic imagery and the date “1776.” On both tongues, you’ll find the official Seal of the President of the United States.
While being president comes with all manner of perks, it should come as no surprise that Nike made a pair of basketball sneakers specifically for Obama. The former president, who helped lead his high school to the Hawaii state championship in 1979 when he was a senior, has never hidden his passion for the game. In fact, during his time in office, he had the White House’s tennis court converted into a full-sized basketball court. And on his 49th birthday, greats of the game both past and present, like Magic Johnson, LeBron James and Chris Paul, were invited to play in what might be history’s most star-studded pickup game.

Obama’s custom-made Hyperdunks will drop at 4:44 pm EST on Friday, February 12 (the time honors his place as the 44th president). The pair is only one of two known to exist and thus carries an appropriately high $25,000 price tag to match.

BeyoncΓ©’s Hairstylist Offers To Help Gorilla Glue Girl!’
Neal Farinah, BeyoncΓ©’s personal hairstylist, offered his support to Gorilla Glue Girl after seeing people ridicule her struggles with trying to get the Gorilla Glue adhesive removed from her hair.

On Monday (Feb. 8), Farinah took to Instagram to extend his resources to Tessica Brown. “We all have our own options,” he captioned a photo of Brown in the hospital. “Yes, she made a big mistake, but (are) we going to keep tearing her down? Let’s help her: Tessica Brown @im_d_ollady @gorillaGlue. (Anyone) has a contact DM? When she leaves the hospital — if she needs a wig or taking care of her scalp — I’m here for her.”
On Feb. 4, Brown went viral after sharing that she used a Gorilla Glue adhesive spray to style her hair once she ran out of her GΓΆt2b Glued spray. In the video, which was shared to TikTok, she explained that she tried to wash it out, but “it didn’t move.” Instead, her ponytail kept getting “tighter and tighter.”

The woman then sought medical help. The nurse attempted to treat her hair with nail polish remover and saline water, but the experience was painful. “When she started, it started to burn, so they took the saline water and tried to, you know, cool it off, but it burned so bad to where my heart started beating too fast...,” Brown explained during an interview with Kiss 92.5. “She told me it looked like she could do it, but it’s gonna take at least 20 hours.” Instead of waiting it out in the hospital, the woman requested to continue the treatment at home.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon offers to treat Gorilla Glue Girl’s hair for free
On Feb. 8, the Gorilla Glue Company released a statement saying that their adhesive spray “is not indicated for use in or on hair as it is considered permanent.”

“It is used for craft, home auto or office projects to mount things to surfaces such as paper, cardboard, wood, laminate and fabric,” their statement continued. “We are glad to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and wish her the best.”

Tamar Braxton Gets Candid About Her 'Hard Times' After Tumultuous 2020!
Tamar Braxton has learned from her personal struggles.During the entertainer's newest episode of her podcast, Under Construction, Braxton, 43, spoke with guest Bevy Smith, 54, about overcoming obstacles and the star knows all too well about hardships. "I find that my hard times made me appreciate my good times," Braxton told Smith. "If I didn’t allow those bad times to penetrate in my life and take the time to really understand being down, I would not have appreciated my ups and that's why God won't let me fall. That's what I feel like."

Braxton is onto a fresh new chapter after a tumultuous 2020. Last year, the star was found unresponsive in her hotel room, filed a restraining order against her boyfriend and severed her ties with WE TV. Towards the end of the year, Braxton fired back at the network for including her hospitalization for Braxton Family Values.

Part of the pair's conversation fell on living below their means and Braxton was quick to explain how she and her son, Logan, 7, bounced back after her separation from Vince Herbert in 2017. The two were together for nine years. "After I left Vince, Logan and I moved into a two bedroom apartment,” she confessed. “A lot of people didn’t understand why I was telling people that. I felt proud of it actually. I can afford this. My bills are paid every single month."

'Criminal Minds' Star Shemar Moore Trolls Patrick Mahomes After Super Bowl Loss!
Sunday night, the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off during Super Bowl LV. Patrick Mahomes was unable to lead a touchdown drive during the game due to having no protection from his offensive line, resulting in several comments on social media. Actor Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds, S.W.A.T.) was among this group, and he used the opportunity to troll the quarterback.

The actor posted a photo on Instagram that showed Brady wearing a Patriots T-shirt. A child sat on his shoulders, but the face did not belong to one of the quarterback's children. Instead, Mahomes' head sat on the body. Considering that the defending Super Bowl MVP did not defeat Brady in the championship game, it was understandable that he had a sad expression on his face.
"I love Mahomes... and he will rule the next decade.... but... tonight was a lesson in.... RESPECT YOUR ELDERS!!!! [GOAT] [12] BRADY!!! GREATEST EVER!!!! White boy can’t run to save his life!!! But... 43 years old and SHUTTING MOUTHS!!!! .... PURE RESPECT!!!!" Moore wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. He added several emojis to drive his point home.

Moore was not the only person poking fun at Mahomes after a game in which he ran for 497 yards while trying to escape the pass rush, only to watch the receivers drop passes at inopportune times. Several other people on social media also posted various memes that showed the Chiefs QB next to Brady. One, in particular, featured the 43-year-old posing with wife Gisele Bundchen and his three children. However, the heads were replaced by Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Mahomes.

The memes continued with other references to Brady's dominance during the postseason. One showed Mahomes and Rodgers sitting at a table next to Jake from State Farm while the Chiefs QB was squeezing a bottle of ketchup. "So you guys really lost to a 43-year-old?" the caption said.
Mahomes has become one of the NFL's best players since landing with the Chiefs as a first-round pick in 2017. He only started one game during his rookie season before taking over as the full-time starter and throwing for 50 touchdowns. Mahomes' success continued in 2019 as he led the team to Super Bowl LIV and a victory over the San Francisco 49ers, walking away with MVP in the process.

While he led the Chiefs back to the Big Game in 2020, Mahomes didn't throw for any touchdowns against the Todd Bowles-led defense. He finished with 270 yards and two interceptions. The Buccaneers also sacked him three times while applying constant pressure.

Black GOP candidate for governor wants to end Black History Month!
Austin Chenge, a Michigan businessman, is the first Republican to announce his intention to challenge popular Democrat Gretchen Whitmer for the office of governor in the Great Lakes State.
Chenge, a Black man, announced on his Instagram page that, if elected, he will “cancel Black History Month in Michigan.”
The post has garnered mixed reception, with both supporters and detractors having their say.
One wrote, “VERY impressed that you said this out loud!!! Cancel pride week too. We are all Americans. None of us are better than others. All these things do is keep us divided. You have my vote!!!!!” Wrote another: “Hallelujah! No more division.”

Chenge, who announced his candidacy for Michigan governor last spring, spoke at a “Stop the Steal” rally in the state’s capital in November. He also defended the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol Building, saying “some of them were overcome by passion, more passion than others and may have acted in a way that they didn’t intend to when they went there.”
The day after the deadly Jan. 6 attack, Chenge tweeted: “#CapitolBuilding : Yesterday, I saw Americans doing everything necessary to ensure their God-given freedoms, their rights and their #American way of life, some were overwhelmed by more passion than others, but all for the love of their country. Austin For #Governor of Michigan.”
Chenge, a U.S. Army veteran of Nigerian descent, is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The 35-year-old’s website says he studied law at Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
His website declares he will cancel any contracts with Dominion Voting Systems on his first day in office and says he’ll “introduce the biggest tax cuts in Michigan history.”

Chenge also says he will provide more access to mental health while still cutting government spending. Among his campaign promises is one to “Defend our Constitution, Our God-given rights, our unborn citizens and our American family values.”

The next election for governor of Michigan is November 2022.
