#RHOA: YIKES! Kenya Moore Throw Shots At Nene Leakes Says You’re Not Talented!
The latest part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion aired last Sunday (May 17) and as expected it was drama filled. Two of the RHOA cast members Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore discussed some of the things that occurred behind the scenes, and some of the actions they regret from the show.
On Kandi Burruss’ “Speak On It”, she and Kenya Moore discussed Nene Leakes‘ lawyer allegedl sending Kandi Burruss a letter demanding that she take down a video of Nene Leakes on her page. Kandi says:

“Right after we taped the reunion that day, the very next day, she had her attorney send me a letter and basically said that I was using her likeness without her permission and they demanded that I take the video down that I had posted of her saying on her YouTube clip.  I took the video down at first, I just took her part off the video where it says how to get your own spinoff, I used to have her at the beginning talking and hating on me why I got my own spinoff and all these different shows I’ve been getting.

She continued, I had her saying that at the beginning of the clip and then, I go into telling people how I ended up getting different shows and the process in that. Her lawyer sent me a letter wanting me to take it down because they didn’t want y’all to see it but apparently Bravo wanted y’all to see it anyway and put it in the TV show.”
Kenya Moore also shared her thoughts about Nene Leakes.

“She is a very spiteful hateful person. She does not want anyone to “exceed her” when it comes to getting other projects outside of Real Housewives of Atlanta. That’s why I brought up the whole receipt thing with Porsha [Williams] because if this is your friend why is she hating on you while you’re rising, while you’re doing better and getting other jobs.

Kenya also claims that Nene was allegedly planning to sue the network and the show’s production company. I wanted her to see the essence of who she is a jealous hateful person. Friend or foe, hateful. You know the whole thing with her getting Lisa Bloom getting her ready to sue people, it was Bravo. She was suing Bravo and Truly. She was allegedly going to sue Bravo and Truly because she was talking about how she was having all these great meetings but then nothing happens after that. She was trying to allege that they were stopping her from getting other work.”

Kenya continued stating that Nene is not talented, “Nobody is stopping you from getting other work, you’re not talented. You don’t need to be on anyone else’s tv screen doing anything other than looking like a complete buffoon. If you could act, if you could dance, sing, if you were pretty, maybe you would get another opportunity or another show. She is a caricature. No one wants to hire a caricature, they wanna hire someone like you Kandi who can actually act, who can sing, you might not be able to dance but I got you in the dance department. You’re a pretty girl and you can cross over into all these other general markets and be the star you are. Where else can you go with that blonde wig? Where else can you go with that accent? Where else can she go with that attitude?”

Kenya Moore goes on to reflect on some of the things she’s done to other cast members that she regrets.

“When people try to bring up Kim Fields and I remember pulling out her chair, oh my god I feel awful about that.”
“I really did feel awful about that because it really could’ve gone left. She definitely was a classy person, she definitely handled it with class and if she was someone else it really could’ve ended very differently, so I remember being asked about it on Watch What Happens Live and I was like yeah I feel really bad about that.”

“I feel bad about calling Tanya [Sam] a c-word. I’ve never called anyone that even though black women don’t really see that as an offensive word, you know Tanya’s half white so I get why she was so offended. I’m not trying to come for the white girls but we all know that most people don’t even use that word. That’s not a word that black women use to denigrate other black women in my opinion. I know she was deeply offended about that and I have more class than that and I don’t need to hit that hard below the belt calling her a name like that, especially when she wasn’t calling me names. I did feel awful about that and I feel like when things happen I definitely apologize. I’ve apologized dozens of times to people on the show and what they’ll have you believe is that I don’t but I always apologize when I’m wrong.”

What are your thoughts on Kandi Burrus and Kenya Moore’s opinions on Nene Leakes?

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Says Her New Single Is Coming ‘Very Soon’!
The wait for new Cardi B music may soon be over. The rapper has announced that she plans to drop the long-awaited single off her sophomore album in the very near future. During her Instagram Live on Friday, Cardi told fans to expect the lead track soon.
“My single’s coming very, very soon, OK guys?” she told her 80,000 viewers.
“My single’s coming when I lose weight…never!” she joked before adding, “No, it’s coming real soon, I swear. Y’all gon’ love it.”
When fans asked how soon, she responded, “Very. I don’t want to give too much information because my fans be watching but also the haters too.”

The song has been a long time coming and was reportedly delayed due to a protracted renegotiation with her label Atlantic Records, but it appears that she has reached a resolution.
Cardi has not released any solo music since “Press” in May 2019, but she has teased the long-awaited follow-up to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy.
Earlier this year, she shared snippets of new music, including one Wheezy-produced track that fans have been calling “Respect.” In March, she said that her single was being put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking with Vogue last year, she opened up about the pressure surrounding the highly-anticipated project. “So it’s scary because it’s like, now you got to top your first album, and then it’s like, damn. I wonder if people are gonna relate to the new things, to the new life, to the new shit that I gotta talk about now,” she told the magazine.

The album follows Invasion of Privacy, which won a Grammy for Best Rap Album and became the longest-charting debut album from a female rapper in Billboard history.

Doja Cat Addresses Allegations That She Made Racists Comments in the Past!
Doja Cat is reacting to the racist comments that she allegedly made in the past.
The 24-year-old “Say So” singer took to her Instagram on Sunday night (May 24) to release a statement regarding her alleged participation in racist chatrooms.
“I want to address what’s been happening on Twitter,” Doja Cat started. “I’ve used public chat rooms to socialize since I was a child. I shouldn’t have been on some of those chat room sites, but I personally have never been involved in any racist conversations. I’m sorry to everyone that I offended.”
“I’m black woman,” Doja Cat continued. “Half of my family is black from South Africa and I’m very proud of where I come from.”
Doja Cat then went on to address her resurfaced song “Dindu Nuffin,” which is known to be a racial slur for black criminals.
“As for the old son that’s resurfaced, it was in no way tied to anything outside of my own personal experience,” Doja Cat wrote. “It was written in response to people who often used that term to hurt me. I made an attempt to flip its meaning, but recognize that it was a bad decision to use the term in my music.”

“I understand my influence and impact and I’m taking this all very seriously,” Doja Cat concluded. “I love you all and I’m sorry for upsetting or hurting any of you. That’s not my character,” and I’m determined to show that to everybody moving forward. Thank you.”

R&B Singer Betty Wright Is Laid To Rest In Three Hour Funeral In Miami!
R&B singer Betty Wright was laid to rest on Saturday (May 23) surrounded by her friends, family, and fellow singers and songwriters. Many guests gave their own eulogies to the late R&B legend, showcasing the close relationships she had with everyone from family to musical mentors and mentees.
Because Betty Wright had helped legendary singer Gloria Estefan with arranging vocals on her song “Coming Out of the Dark”, the Estefans were invited to the service but could not make it. Instead, Gloria Estefan sent her own message to Betty:

“Betty Wright was a force to be reckoned with. She wielded her soulful power in her own music but was incredibly generous when it came to coaxing the best performances out of every one of her students and the artists she worked with, one of which, was me. There is no way that ‘Coming Out of the Dark’ would have had its gospel infused force without Betty’s input. She drew every note out of my soul so that it could touch the hearts of so many people that helped me overcome one of the darkest moments of my life. I will be forever thankful for her incredible talent, her musical wisdom and the fact that I was touched by her light.”
Uncle Luke (born Luther Campbell) of the 2 Live Crew gave an emotional eulogy and reflected on growing up with Betty Wright in the Liberty City neighborhood in Miami.

“There was not a day I didn’t have a conversation with her leading up the day this strong, black woman called me up to say ‘I’m going home to be with the Lord, I never had a call like that. ‘I’m going to be with the Lord, Luke.’ And we talked about Jazz in the Gardens and we talked about people she loved. We talked about, you name it. Betty was the only person that could put me in check. She was the only one that could call me and say, ‘Be easy on certain people’ because I am rough sometimes. I come from that house on 10th Avenue. If you’ve ever been to that house you got the best of both worlds.”
Betty’s goddaughter Clovette Danzy paid tribute to her godmother in a heartfelt speech,

“I met Betty at age 12, and she became my godmother at the time. She was singing ‘People Get Ready,’ and I studied her and I watched her and she taught me everything I know about singing. Betty was a talented woman, an innovator, an originator, a collaborator, she was an extraordinary woman, a gift from God to bless all mankind all over the world. She ministered in song. She was a blessing to me and my family and children.”

After her speech, Clovette Danzy sang the gospel song, “He Done Enough.” Danzy said that the song was the last one Betty directed for her.
Betty Wright was laid to rest in a gold casket in a funeral procession. She was 66 years old and reportedly passed away from a private battle with cancer.

We send our condolences to Betty Wright’s family and friends.

Betty White, 98, is “Doing Very Well” in Quarantine Amid Coronavirus Pandemic!
Betty White is staying positive and keeping herself busy in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a rep for White, who celebrated her 98th birthday back in January, the beloved actress is “doing very well” while keeping safe and healthy during the global health crisis.
The Golden Girls star is staying home to protect herself from the virus that has infected millions worldwide, and has become a pro when it comes to adhering to social distancing standards.

“No one permitted in except those who must. Has helpers who are great with her,” White’s rep told Today in an e-mail.
And even though White has to stay in the house 24-7, she has fortunately been able to keep her good sense of humor. White’s publicist said she checks in with her several times a week and they “always have laughs.”

White has also been spending her days enjoying nature and admiring the wildlife in her own backyard.
“Betty has a beautiful backyard with a number of wild animals visiting,” her rep said. “Two ducks always come by to say hello. They waddle up to her glass door and look in.”
A friend of White’s also said that she’s keeping busy by reading the Los Angeles Times “cover to cover.”
“She owns literally thousands of crossword puzzle books and is constantly doing them to keep her mind jumping. This is really serious with her,” entertainer Tom Sullivan told the British magazine Closer Weekly.

Fans of Betty White (i.e. EVERYBODY because who’s not a fan of Betty White?!) first became concerned with the iconic actress’ well-being after a number of celebrities revealed that they’d tested positive for coronavirus back in March.

However, at the time, White’s publicist assured everyone she was “fine” amid the outbreak.

Quavo Graduates From High School!
Quavo has accomplished a major milestone during the coronavirus quarantine.
Last week, the Migos member announced that he is a part of the graduating class of 2020 as he has recently completed high school. The ATL native uploaded a series of photos to Instagram of himself wearing a navy blue cap and gown, doing a number of poses including holding on to his cap's tassel.
"Finally Can Say I Graduated High School Class Of 2020. We Lit. Now What College Should I Go To?," he wrote in his IG post. The Quality Control artist added that "we," presumably referring to his Migos crew, planned to drop a new record to commemorate his accomplishment. Hours later, the trio released "Need It" featuring Baton Rouge, La.'s own YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
"My neck got freezy (Ice)/Just give us the reason/Make that smoke look easy/Coup blue hundreds with the stones is bleeding/What's yo issue?/If you got a trigger/Then squeeze it (Squeeze it)," Quavo raps on the track.

The rapper attended Berkmar High School in the Atlanta suburb of Lilburn, Ga., but he reportedly dropped out prior to pursing a rap career. However, while Quavo was a student at Berkmar, he was the football team's star quarterback. Back in 2018, Quavo shared highlight footage from one of his games ahead of his annual Huncho Day celebrity flag football game.
In 2017, the 29-year-old rhymer's high school football coach spoke to Bleacher Report about Quavo's time on the field, leading the Berkmar Patriots during their 2009 season.

"He was very smart on the field, understood the offense and how to read the defense," John Thompson said at the time. "Even if he got out of the pocket, he would always keep his eyes downfield. I think he liked throwing the deep ball. When he got rushed, we'd be, like, 'Run for the first down!' and he'd end up throwing it for 40 yards."

Congrats to Quavo.

Dwyane Wade debuts red hair transformation with daughter Zaya!
Dwyane Wade is embracing the “red hair don’t care” attitude.
Over the weekend, the former NBA star, 38, documented a series of hair transformations on social media, ranging from pink to bright red.
“When they think they know you — Switch it up!” Wade captioned an Instagram post on Saturday, adding the hashtag, “red hair don’t care.”

In a separate video posted to TikTok, a red-headed Wade is seen behind the wheel of a convertible with 12-year-old daughter Zaya in the passenger seat, sporting a new pink style. Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, also posted the clip to her Instagram story.

Earlier this year, Wade spoke about Zaya’s journey during an appearance on “Ellen,” confirming his daughter is transgender. In March, Union joined Wade for Zaya’s red carpet debut at the Better Brothers’ Truth Awards in Los Angeles.

'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' Whitney Thore Breaks off Engagement After Fiance Impregnates Another Woman!
My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Chase Severino is going to be a father, but his co-star Whitney Thore is not the baby's mother. Thore and Severino announced they are no longer engaged after she learned Severino and another woman were expecting a child together. Severino reconnected with a woman he had a long history with, and their baby is due in October, Severino revealed.

Thore broke the news on her Instagram page first by sharing a black square alongside a long caption on Wednesday. After noticing several social media outlets sharing rumors about their relationship, she announced the engagement was over. "After experiencing a lot of ups and downs and still living apart, Chase reconnected with a woman with whom he has had a long history," she wrote, adding that the reunion "resulted in a pregnancy." Thore shut off the comments section for the post and asked her fans for privacy. "I'm not interested in anything hateful being directed toward anyone," she wrote.

Hours later, Severino shared his own statement, confirming the baby is due in October and referred fans to Thore's post for more details. "Thank you for always supporting us," he wrote. "As we now go our separate ways, I ask fr privacy for Whitney, myself, and the mother of my child who wishes to remain anonymous." He also closed off comments for his post.

The couple's split was not completely surprising news to fans, reports Starcasm. Severino and Thore erased photos of each other on their Isntagram pages last month. Around that time, Instagram user @90dayfiance_etc cited a source and claimed Severino was having a child with his "real girlfriend" and Severino and Thore would break up. The Instagram user deleted that post, but shared another post a month later after rumors about their split reached Reddit. There were longstanding rumors on social media that the couple's relationship was staged in the first place.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life debuted on TLC in 2015 and finished its seventh season in March. The series follows Thore, who became a star after her North Carolina radio station shared a video of her dancing in 2014. After she appeared on numbers media outlets to promote body acceptance, TLC ordered a series based on her life. Thore, who has more than 957,000 followers, and Severino got engaged in December 2019 and the engagement was shown in the Season 7 premiere.

Ex-Dodgers star Carl Crawford speaks out on pool drownings: ‘My heart’s heavy’!
Former Los Angeles Dodgers star Carl Crawford is speaking directly for the first time about the two people who drowned in the pool of his Texas home.
In an Instagram post Saturday, Crawford wrote “My Hearts (sic) Heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I’m at a loss for words. I’ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who’ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest. They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.”

Bethany Lartigue, 25, a professional football player who lived in Dallas, died May 17 after jumping into the pool at Crawford’s Houston home to save a struggling 5-year-old boy who was not related to her, her brother told the Houston Chronicle.
Crawford, 38, had been hosting a party at his home when the tragedy happened.
The former All-Star player for the LA Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays — had told The Post through a rep Monday that he was in “complete shock” over the tragedy.

“This weekend, a terrible accident occurred at my residence resulting in the tragic loss of two precious lives. It’s devastating, I’m in complete shock and don’t really know how to move forward in this moment because my heart aches so deeply for the families,” Crawford said in the statement.

Championship Ring Kobe Bryant Gifted His Mom Sells For $206K!
To celebrate the Lakers’ 1999-2000 championship, Kobe Bryant gifted his mom with a 14-karat gold ring.  Twenty years later, the ring is sold for $206,000!

The item — listed initially at $15K, was put up for auction by a private collector and was sold by Goldin Auctions. Apparently, the ring is one of the two identical rings Kobe gifted each of his parents with after the win.
The private collector who had the rings for seven years originally obtained them in 2013 as a result of a fallout between Kobe and his parents.
According to Bleacher Report, “They were packaged together after Pamela, and Joe Bryant attempted to sell several pieces of memorabilia, leading to Kobe filing a lawsuit against his parents. An agreement was eventually reached for Kobe’s parents to sell six items, including the rings.”

Since the late basketball legend’s tragic death, many items have been up for auction. It is rumored that his father’s ring will be on the auction block soon if it is not already.

Two Missouri Hairstylists Sick With The Coronavirus, Exposed 140 Clients To The Virus!
On Friday, the Springfield-Greene Health Department in Missouri confirmed that a hairstylist at a Great Clips salon had exposed 84 clients and seven coworkers as they continued to do hair while sick with the virus. Just one day later, they announced that a second hairstylist also tested positive for coronavirus, and may have exposed 56 more clients at the same salon. While officials would not confirm when the stylists initially tested positive, they did confirm that both had symptoms while at work.

This announcement comes at a pivotal time when businesses, including beauty salons, are reopening amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, that is showing no signs of easing up throughout the country. Over 97,000 people have died from coronavirus in the United States, where the number of confirmed cases has topped 1.6 million, according to Johns Hopkins, with Missouri alone having nearly 12,000 cases of infections and more than 650 deaths.
The Health Department confirmed that the salon kept accurate records, which made contact tracing possible. They also confirmed that both stylists and clients wore face coverings during services. While the agency is hopeful that the use of face masks prevented the spread of the virus, they still caution that instances such as these need to be avoided moving forward.

“I’m going to be honest with you: We can’t have many more of these,” Clay Goddard, director of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department said at a news conference. “We can’t make this a regular habit or our capabilities as a community will be strained.”

The Great Clips owners also issued a statement to CNN, saying that, “The well-being of Great Clips customers and stylists in the salon is our top priority and proper sanitization has always been an important cosmetology industry practice for Great Clips salons. We’ve closed the salon where the employee works and it’s currently undergoing additional sanitizing and deep cleaning.”
