"While it was a sad reminder for me of all the people in media and production who are not able to work due to the coronavirus, it also brought me hope and encouragement to know that our people and our infrastructures are resilient,” Campbell told Essence.
The 50th anniversary issue, to be released May 12, is Campbell’s seventh appearance on the cover.

#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Celebrates Daughter Riley on Postponed Graduation Day: "I Am So Proud"!
Like many high school seniors around the country, Kandi Burruss’ daughter Riley Burruss had her graduation postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. But while the official ceremony may be delayed, Kandi isn’t letting that stop her from celebrating her eldest child. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member marked the meaningful date by sending a heartfelt message to Riley on Instagram.

In an Instagram post shared on May 9, Kandi congratulated the soon-to-be college freshman on all of her accomplishments over the last year. “Today was the day my baby @rileyburruss was supposed get her diploma,” the mom of three wrote alongside a photo of Riley’s stunning senior portrait. “Unfortunately because of the quarantine the graduation has been postponed but I still want to congratulate my baby & let her know I am sooooo proud of her!”
Kandi went on to add, “This is the start of a new chapter & so many more major accomplishments to come. Congratulations @rileyburruss & the class of 2020!”
Though the end of Riley’s senior year turned out differently than she may have expected, she certainly has plenty to look forward to. The RHOA daughter is headed to her first-choice college, New York University, as she confirmed back in December.

"Well, I feel ecstatic," Riley said shortly after she was accepted to NYU late last year. "I mean, it was the only school I really even wanted to go to. I only even thought of applying to other schools as backup plans. That was the only school in my mind. So just to see that I got in and it's for sure and I can just go and be on my path, I'm very excited."

#NewMusic from Kelly Price ‘UnSung’!
Kelly Price has let her pride get the best of her for the last time. The powerhouse wants to press reset on an unraveling romance on her new single “UnSung.”
Price aligns herself to heartfelt piano notes to render an emotional performance about the regret she feels for letting a lover slip away.

“I didn’t think I’d want him back, I didn’t think I’d miss him / But stubborn is a lonely place, and now I must admit it / A broken heart and teary eyes, so how can I forgive him? / ‘Twas once upon a happy life. We lost our happy ending,” she sings on the second verse.
“UnSung” arrives just weeks after her testimonial “What I Need (Give Me What I Need).”  Both songs are the first signals of a new album from Price.

#HipHopNews: Lil Wayne And Eminem Admit They Google Their Own Lyrics To Make Sure They Aren’t Repeating Rhymes!
Between them, Lil Wayne and Eminem have nearly 50 years in the rap game. With that many rhymes under their belts, both artists recently admitted they sometimes need help figuring out if they have used lyrics multiple times.
Tunechi dropped another episode of Young Money Radio. For the latest edition, he chopped it up with Slim Shady, among other people, and discussed a number of topics with the rap god. During the interview, they found out they both have something in common when it comes to putting rhymes together.
"When you've made so many songs about everything it gets a little tricky," Em admitted around the 8:15 mark. "And it's like you've got ... you start getting to the point where you've rapped about everything. You've rhymed every word there is to rhyme."

"You can say everywhere," Wayne added. "Man, Em, I have to, literally, bro, when I'm doing some of my shit, if you go through my phone history, my Google history and you press L, first thing that will come up is Lil Wayne lyrics. I literally have to Google my lyrics to make sure I didn't say certain stuff before."

"Oh my god. Yo, I swear to god I do that too," Shady concurred.
"Man, that's how long we've been doing this shit," Wayne added.
Lil Wayne's weekly Young Money Radio show has been another godsend for fans looking to hear from some of their favorite artists while on quarantine. Last week, Tune had Drake on the line and Drizzy revealed he was going to work on new music with Wayne.

Dr. Anthony Fauci In 'Modified' Quarantine After Possible Virus Exposure!
Dr. Anthony Fauci is going into self-isolation. The 79-year-old director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases revealed that he is going into a “modified” self-quarantine after coming in contact with the White House staffer who recently tested positive for the virus.

Dr. Fauci‘s version of self-isolation entails him working from home with a mask on for the next 14 days and might go into his office only if needed.
Fauci said he made “low-risk” contact with the staffer, therefore won’t go full quarantine. Dr. Fauci also revealed that he is currently negative for the virus.

Last week, it was revealed that Vice President Mike Pence‘s press secretary, Katie Miller had tested positive. President Donald Trump‘s personal valet driver also tested positive for the virus.

Televangelist Jim Bakker Has Stroke, Taking Sabbatical From His TV Show!
Televangelist Jim Bakker recently suffered a stroke, according to a Facebook post Friday by his wife, Lori. As a result, the 80-year-old preacher will be taking what’s described as a “sabbatical” from his television show.
“For many years now, Jim has been working non-stop, working hard to bring incredible prophets and guests to our show, discovering and developing new products to share … and bringing forth the message for the days that we are living in. All of these projects, and the vigorous warfare that we have experienced in the last several weeks, have taken a huge toll on Jim’s health,” said the Facebook post.

Bakker was most recently chastised for touting a coronavirus cure on his program.
New York State Attorney General Letitia James ordered Bakker not to continue advertising the product, “Silver Solution,” on his website in early March. Four days later, Missouri filed a lawsuit against Bakker and his production company for selling the treatment.
Lori Bakker noted, “As a family and staff, we continue to fight the good fight of faith and take a stand against the evil forces and hatred that has come against our ministry. In Jim’s words, this has been the most vicious attack that he has ever experienced.”
She added: “He is still dreaming and hearing from the Lord, and he already has a powerful word to deliver when he returns to the air.”

Bakker was previously convicted of fraud and served time in federal prison related to his activities connected to his popular Praise The Lord (PTL) Club show, a religious version of mainstream talk shows featuring Jim and wife Tammy Faye Bakker. The couple later divorced in 1992 in the wake of a scandal that saw Bakker pay hush money to cover up an affair with church secretary Jessica Hahn. But at one point in the 1980s, he was arguably the most prominent televangelist in America.

He now has a new show and a new wife.
On the Feb. 12 show in question, Bakker asked guest Sherill Sellman if the solution she was talking about would work against the coronavirus.
“Let’s say it hasn’t been tested on this strain of the coronavirus, but it’s been rested on other strains of the coronavirus and has been able to eliminate it within 12 hours,” she replied.

“The World Heath Organization (‘WHO’) has noted that there is no specific medicine to prevent or treat this disease,”  Landau said in her letter to Bakker. “Therefore, any representation on the Jim Bakker Show that its Silver Solution products are effective at combating and/or treating the 2019 novel coronavirus violates New York law.”

Landau also said a disclaimer had to be listed on the website denying any claims on its efficacy. “These statement have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease,” the disclaimer reads.

The Silver Solution products were on sale for more than $125

Man who recorded Ahmaud Arbery shooting receiving threats, lawyer says!
Cops debunk accused killers' claims Arbery was burglary suspect
The man who shot the consequential video of Ahmaud Arbery’s killing is now receiving threats amid cries for his arrest, his attorney said.

The revelation comes after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation revealed the identity of the videographer, William “Roddie” Bryan, and announced he is under investigation.
“Mr. Bryan, his fiancee, his children, his siblings and other family members, friends and neighbors now live in fear despite the fact that Mr. Bryan has committed no crime and fully cooperated with the investigation into the shooting,” Bryan’s attorney, Kevin Gough, said in a statement to First Coast News in Glynn County Friday.
Bryan, a neighbor of accused killers Greg McMichael and his son Travis, captured video of the Feb. 23 shooting while trailing Arbery from his vehicle.
The video ignited mass public outcry when it leaked to the public earlier this month, leading to the McMichaels’ arrest.
Gough said Bryan has now lost his job, and disputed claims he was armed during the dispute.

“Contrary to irresponsible media reports, Mr. Bryan was unarmed at the time of the shooting. Roddie is a family man, NASCAR fan, and enjoys rock and roll. He is not now, and never has been, a ‘vigilante,’” Gough said.
He said his client answered police questions during a “lengthy interview” following the shooting and gave consent to search his cellphone.

Gough did not disclose the nature of the threats.

'Little Fires Everywhere' Is Coming To Amazon Prime!
May just keeps getting better! Streaming services have already shared their content lineups for this month, but Amazon Prime Video just added a brand new release that’s sure to stir up excitement. The new addition is Little Fires Everywhere, and you’re going to want to add it to your list ASAP.
The series is based on the novel of the same name by Celeste Ng, about two families in the city of Shaker Heights, Ohio. The story takes place in the 1990s and chronicles the Richardson family, who appears to be picture-perfect until an enigmatic mother and daughter turn their lives around.

“The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster,” a statement from Amazon Prime Video to Narcity reads.
Little Fires Everywhere stars Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde), Kerry Washington (Scandal), Rosemarie DeWitt (United States of Tara), Jade Pettyjohn (School of Rock), Jordan Elsass (Discreet), Gavin Lewis (Maximum Ride), Megan Stott (So Shook), Lexi Underwood (Disney’s Raven’s Home), and Huang Lu (Blind Mountain).
The series also stars Vancouver-born actor Joshua Jackson, who you may recognize from his work on Dawson’s Creek, The Affair, Fringe, and The Mighty Ducks, among other projects.

Little Fires Everywhere first premiered on Hulu earlier this year, on March 18. Since its initial release, the series has received lukewarm reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, earning a certified fresh critic score of 76%, and an audience score of just 61%.
Prime Video will be the first streaming service to offer the show to Canadians.

“We, at Hello Sunshine and Simpson Street, are thrilled that Amazon will be the primary international home for Little Fires Everywhere. Jen Salke and the Amazon team have shared our passion for this spectacular story from the very beginning, making it the perfect home for audiences worldwide,” Witherspoon and Washington said in a joint statement.
Earlier this month, Prime Video released Upload, an original series where humans are given the opportunity to “upload” their consciousness into a digital after-life after facing a near-death experience. If you’re a fan of Black Mirror and The Good Place, you’ll want to add it to your list.

Little Fires Everywhere is set to premiere on Amazon on May 22.

Tyra Banks admits she was ‘insensitive’ after being slammed for ‘ANTM’ clip!
Tyra Banks has addressed backlash she received this week after a clip from a 2006 episode of “America’s Next Top Model” went viral, in which the show creator, producer and judge told contestant Dani Evans she’d never be a “covergirl” with a gap in her teeth.

“Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past ANTM moments and I agree with you,” Banks tweeted Friday night. “Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs.”
Model Slick Woods — who has proudly displayed her front-teeth gap on runways all over the world — was one of many to call out the mogul for her comments, saying that as a kid, that episode of the reality series did a number on her self-esteem.

“No one should ever talk to you like that @danievans1,” Slick wrote, tagging Evans in the viral clip. “that episode f–ked up little simone/slick so that’s how y’all feel @tyrabanks @miss_jalexander???”
Evans — who went on to win Cycle 6 of the competition — also addressed the resurfaced excerpt after being tagged by Woods, saying she wasn’t surprised by the critique because she’s “heard it all before.”
“What I was tight about is them trying to play me and making good for TV,” she added. “However, the me now, and reading the comments and understanding the weight that it created in other girls who saw that — this is why this post is being made, because I want to address all of those young girls … So I’mma take this time to build up and to speak to all of my young queens that saw that episode that were truly affected by Tyra’s words … You’re beautiful.”

“So Danielle, you went to the dentist but you refused to have your gap closed,” Banks told Evans in the 2006 episode. “Do you really think you can have a CoverGirl contract with a gap in your mouth?”

“Yes, why not?” Evans responded.
“This is all people see …” the host said while creating a faux tooth-gap with her finger. “It’s not marketable.”

Britney Spears Surprises Fans With New Album Artwork For ‘Glory’!
Britney Spears gave her fans the coolest surprise this week.
As many will recall, Spears’ followers weren’t too pleased with the original cover art for the singer’s ninth studio album, Glory. The original cover concept for the 2016 record featured a close-up shot of the “Slumber Party” musician gazing sultrily and with her blonde tresses flowing freely at the sides of her face.

Well, the pop star finally answered her fans prayers on Friday (May 8) by sharing a brand new album cover for the LP to celebrate the effort ascending to number-one on a music streaming platform — four years later.

“You asked for a new Glory cover and since it went to number one we had to make it happen !!!! Couldn’t have done it without you all 💞😘🌹✨!!!!” Spears captioned the artwork on Instagram.
The new cover, shot by renowned photographer David LaChapelle, finds the singer laying on her back and in silver shackles while posing in a desert landscape. Rumor has it that Spears had to trash the alternative cover because it was considered too provocative at the time.
As for what inspired her to unveil the scrapped artwork, a source told Variety that “she just kinda did it on her own” as a token of her appreciation to her longtime fans.

In its arrival, Glory ushered in fan-favorite songs like “Make Me…” and “Slumber Party.” The latter of the two tune turned out to be particularly significant for the star, who actually met her current boyfriend, Sam Asghari, on set while filming the music video for the track.

’Black-ish’ Star Jenifer Lewis Among 4 Women Conned Out of Nearly $400k In Romance & Business Scam!
A Santa Monica conman has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud after authorities say he conned multiple women, including one “Black-ish” actress out of nearly $400k in an elaborate romance and business scam. He now faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

According to an FBI investigation, between May 2015 and October 2018, Antonio Mariot Wilson, also known as “Dr. Tony Mariot” and “Brice Carrington” created an entire fraudulent lifestyle that he repeated to his four victims, one of which being Black-ish actress Jenifer Lewis, whom he began a romantic relationship with. Wilson claimed to be Navy SEAL, an Oxford University graduate and a professor teaching biblical antiquities at UCLA, all of which proved to be lies. Once he gained their trust, he convinced the women to invest in two businesses, one for sound design and the other software, claiming that he had close working relationships with ABC and EA Sports.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Wilson confessed he sold unregistered securities to one of the companies by distributing “shareholder agreements” and “stock purchase agreements” to his victims. He made a total of $387,000 from the scam, spending his earnings on personal items.

This is not the first time that Wilson has pulled this stunt. In 2009, he pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges and wire fraud in a similar scheme. He served four years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry move into $18M mansion owned by Tyler Perry!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are living in a sprawling, ultra-luxe, $18 million Beverly Hills mansion owned by Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their 1-year-old son, Archie, have set up home in Perry’s hilltop eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom, Tuscan-style villa in the swanky gated Beverly Ridge Estates, Page Six has confirmed.
Perry is currently out of town in Atlanta setting up to restart production in his studio, a source exclusively tells us.
The couple is believed to have been introduced to the “Madea” star by their close friend Oprah Winfrey, according to the Daily Mail, who has taken them under her wing after working with Harry on a docu-series about mental health.

Winfrey has been a guiding force for the Sussexes as they made their controversial decision to leave the royal family. The media queen is also very close to Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Meghan and Harry moved to LA after fleeing their bolthole in Canada in late March as the country closed its borders over the coronavirus. They’ve been spotted only a handful of times since their move to LA, delivering food to the vulnerable and walking their dogs.

Perry’s villa sits on 22 acres on the top of a hill, offering sweeping views of the city. It is not confirmed if the Sussexes are renting the house from Perry, but sources said they are likely staying as guests while he is out of town.
We revealed this week that they are on the hunt to buy their own property in the region for $10 million to 20 million — as broker-to-the-stars Josh Altman said they could “low ball” their way into an amazing home.

The “Million Dollar Listing” guru told us: “You’ll get a great deal over the next six months. If you’re looking to spend $10 to $20 million, there are five or six gated communities that are perfect.” Altman cited Beverly Ridge as a great gated development.

AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
‘I’M A BIG KID NOW’
Sir, I can tell you from first-hand experience, those things are definitely not as leak proof as you might think.
