Angelina Jolie Opens Talks About Her ‘Difficult’ Year: ‘I Am a Little Bit Stronger’
Much has changed over the last year in Angelina Jolie‘s life, but one thing has remained constant — her dedication to her children.

After filing for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, 2016, Jolie retreated from the spotlight to focus on her family as they work to heal from the traumatic split.
“I have had my ups and downs. I guess I am a little bit stronger,” the actress, director and philanthropist tells the folks at PEOPLE for the magazine’s new cover story. “We all have our difficult times, but as a mother you also have a responsibility first and foremost towards the kids. They are going through their formative years and everything else comes second to that.”
Jolie confirmed she plans on taking on more acting roles in the future, including Maleficent 2, but says her priority remains her children and their well-being.

“Everything will be around the children,” she says. “I haven’t worked for over a year now because they needed me home. Everything was just stopped. I’m really sitting and talking with them because everything affects them. Every location, every type of project, I’m going to have to adjust it to however much they can handle.”
In the interview, an emotional Jolie also talks about how she misses her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer 10 years ago, more than ever —and says her own health is good “so far” after her preventative surgeries to lessen the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

She’s very proud that Maddox and Pax got involved behind the scenes on First They Killed My Father. The movie grew from her longtime love for Cambodia, where she adopted Maddox in 2002 and where she has done humanitarian work for 14 years, establishing a foundation in Maddox’s name that helps local communities with education, health and more. “I wanted Maddox to see how extraordinary his country is,” she says of the movie.
Though they are still healing from the last year, the star says her family is out of “lockdown” and ready for new adventures.

“I think they’re itching to get out in the world again,” says Jolie. “We’ve all been a bit in lockdown and going through some things. I think it would be good to get out there and play together.”

#HIPHOPNEWS: N.J. rapper Cardi B says NYPD officer put her in chokehold
Rapper Cardi B, who currently has the No. 2 song in the country with "Bodak Yellow," recently tweeted that a New York police officer put her in a chokehold.

Cardi, born Belcalis Almanzar, hails from the Bronx and lives in Edgewater.
"I can't believe this cop put me on a choke hole just now sh*t is crazy these NY cops don't know how to do they job F*** 12," Cardi posted in a now-deleted tweet on Tuesday, according to Rap-Up, which noted that the rapper has a history of being vocal about police brutality.

In August, at the MTV Video Music Awards, she addressed football player Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem at games to protest police brutality against minorities. "As long as you kneel with us, we're gonna be standing for you," Cardi said.
Citing sources connected with the rapper, TMZ reported that Cardi had been riding in her Bentley SUV near Columbus Circle in Manhattan when another car hit the vehicle, after which she and her cousin, the driver of the Bentley, got into an argument with the driver of the other car. A police officer who Cardi described as white reportedly approached, put his arms around her neck and pinned her against the Bentley. TMZ says the police filed no report about the alleged incident.

Before she rose to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Cardi was frequently seen on TV as a cast member of the VH1 reality series "Love & Hip Hop: New York."

REPORT: Mariah Carey Docuseries Coming To VH1
Mariah Carey is ready for another reality show. Following her eight-episode “Mariah’s World” docuseries, which will not return to E!, MC has landed a new VH1 reality show, according to Page Six.
Insiders say that the forthcoming program will document an upcoming milestone tour. “‘Mariah’s World’ was always planned to be an eight-part TV event,” said an unnamed source. “But now she is planning a huge world tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘Butterfly’ to start early 2018. It will be similar to U2’s ‘Joshua Tree Tour.’ VH1 is set to film a docuseries that will capture the behind-the-scenes of her tour.”

Mariah’s relationship with VH1 has already started. Last night, she was celebrated at the network’s “Hip Hop Honors” event, where she performed a medley of her “Honey” remixes with Ma$e, The Lox, Da Brat, and fellow honoree Jermaine Dupri.
On top of the aforementioned commitments, Mariah will be returning to Las Vegas for another residency after ending her two-year stint at Caesars Palace and she’s plotting a new Christmas single with Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-winning composer Marc Shaiman.

Plus, Carey is also prepping a drama based on her life, an animated Christmas movie, and a new album through her recently-launched Butterfly MC Records.

LOOKY LOOKY! Halle Berry, 51, Steps Out with 35-Year-Old New Boo Alex Da Kid!
Halle Berry isn’t wasting any time introducing her new man to the world.

The Oscar winner stepped out with her boyfriend, music producer Alexander Grant — aka Alex Da Kid — on Tuesday for a romantic date night in London. The two walked arm-in-arm as they entered a restaurant.
“They seem smitten but it’s pretty early,” of the relationship. “They met over the summer. It’s rather new. He has tremendous success in his own right. He produces and he’s got real street cred.”
“She’s having a lot of fun,” adds the source.
The actress, 51, wore a pair of black pants with a matching top and a green coat for the night out, while her beau kept his look simple in a pair of gray sweatpants and a white shirt.

The outing comes just hours after Berry went Instagram official with the music producer.
“My Balance,” she captioned the intimate shot.

The British-born producer, 35, has worked with heavy hitters like Dr. Dre, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Rihanna and Diddy.
This marks Berry’s first relationship since separating from French actor Olivier Martinez and finalizing their divorce in December 2016.
The actress shares 9-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and 3-year-old son Maceo Robert with Martinez. Berry was also previously married to baseball player David Justice from 1993 to 1996 and musician Eric Benet from 2001 to 2003.

Kevin Hart’s alleged accuser steps forward and is being repped by Lisa Bloom
On Tuesday, high-powered attorney Lisa Bloom tweeted that she’s acquired a new client, “the woman at the center of the Kevin Hart scandal,” identifying her as Montia Sabbag.
According to Bloom, Sabbag, an “actress and model,” will address the brewing scandal during a press conference Wednesday, Sept. 20, and “speak out … about the true facts of this situation, and will announce their next legal move.”
Sabbag “was briefly involved with Kevin Hart a month ago. Since that time, she has been the subject of false, vicious attacks on her character,” Bloom’s statement reads.

As previously reported, on Saturday, Hart issued a public apology to his wife, Eniko Parrish, and kids for “bad error in judgement.”
“I’m at a place in my life where I feel I have a target on my back and because of that I should make smart decisions, and recently I didn’t,” Hart said via Instagram in a brief video clip. “I’m not perfect and I’m not gonna sit up here and say that I am, or claim to be in any way shape or form. And I made a bad error in judgement and I put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen and they did. And in doing that, I know I’m gonna hurt the people closest to me, who I’ve talked to and apologized to, being my wife and my kids.”
Shortly after, multiple outlets reported that the actor-comedian was doing damage control after at an unidentified person attempted to extort him.

TMZ previously reported that FBI agents believe they know the identity of the individual who allegedly demanded money to prevent leaking the video, which allegedly features the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star, 38, getting close with Sabbag at a club and then in a bedroom. The entertainment outlet also reported that Sabbag is 27, lives in Long Beach, California, and works as a stripper.

Linda Hamilton Set to Return to 'Terminator' Franchise
With James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger involved, it's a reunion more than 25 years in the making.
After waving hasta la vista, baby, more than 25 years ago, Linda Hamilton is returning to the world of Terminator, reuniting with James Cameron, the creator of the sci-fi franchise, for the new installment being made by Skydance and Paramount.
Cameron made the announcement at a private event celebrating the storied franchise, saying, "As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return."
With Hamilton’s return, Cameron hopes to once again make a statement on gender roles in action movies.
"There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys,” he said, referring to aging male actors still anchoring movies, “but there isn’t an example of that for women.”

Tim Miller, the filmmaker who made his breakout feature debut with Deadpool, is directing the sequel, which is returning to its roots by having the involvement of Cameron for the first time since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Cameron is producing along with Skydance. And the new film, which will be distributed by Paramount with Fox handling it internationally, is based on a story crafted by Cameron. Cameron and Miller created a writers room to hammer out what is planned to be a trilogy that can stand as single movies or form an overarching story. David Goyer, whose credits include the Blade and Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies; Charles Eglee, who created Dark Angel with Cameron; Josh Friedman, who created the Terminator TV spinoff, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Justin Rhodes, a frequent Goyer collaborator, were part of that room.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has starred as both a bad guy and good guy portraying the cool killer robot sent from the future, is already set to return and with Cameron and now Hamilton on board, the new Terminator film will once again have its original creative team.
Hamilton starred in the first film, The Terminator, released in 1984 as a low-budget genre play, playing one of the silver screen's strongest female heroines, Sarah Connor. Connor was a waitress who is being hunted down by an unstoppable killing machine, played by Schwarzenegger, sent from the future. Connor learned that in the future, machines have taken over and that she is the mother of the human resistance leader.
The actress returned to the character in Cameron’s 1991 sequel, which was a summer blockbuster that pushed the visual effects envelope and set box office records for that time. This time Connor, buffed and in prime fighting form, was a hard-edged, take-no-prisoners warrior who fought like a bear to protect her son.
Both Hamilton and Cameron, who were married to each other in the later 1990s, sat out the installments that followed in 2003, 2009 and 2015.
Story details are, of course, being kept on a secure hard drive at Cyberdyne Systems, but Cameron and Miller are treating the new movie as a direct sequel to Cameron's Judgment Day. And the themes of the potential evils of technology will once again be at the fore.

But the new movie will also be seen as a passing of the baton to a new generation of characters.
"We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story," Cameron said. "We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we'll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it."

Hamilton is represented by Innovative Artists.

Jada Pinkett Smith I AM NOT A SCIENTOLOGIST, I PRACTICE HUMAN KINDNESS!
Jada Pinkett Smith took to Facebook on Tuesday to shut down ex-Scientologist Leah Remini's claim that Pinkett Smith has "been in Scientology a long time."
"I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech… but I am not a Scientologist," Pinkett Smith wrote in the post, which addressed the multiple religions she says she has participated in but does not devoutly follow:

"I recently lit Shabbat candles with Rabbi Bentley at Temple Sinai... but I am not Jewish;
I have prayed in mosques all over the world... but I am not a Muslim;
I have read the Bhagavad Gita... but I am not a Hindu;
I have chanted and meditated in some of the most magnificent temples on earth… but I am not a Buddhist; and
I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech… but I am not a Scientologist.
I practice human kindness, and I believe that we each have the right to determine what we are and what we are not.

Remini, who recently won an Emmy for her Scientology-exposing A&E docu-series "Scientology and the Aftermath," told The Daily Beast on Saturday that she had frequently seen Pinkett Smith at Scientology-related events and locations.
"I know Jada’s in. I know Jada’s in. She’s been in Scientology a long time," Remini said. "I never saw Will [Smith] there, but I saw Jada at the Celebrity Centre. They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it. But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time."

In 2008, the Smiths opened a private school that raised concerns because some of its teachers were members of the Church of Scientology. Both Smiths have repeatedly insisted that they aren't Scientologists themselves.

Mariah Carey being Sued For Bailing On Nonprofit Choir That Sings For Charity
*Well this isn’t festive.

A new lawsuit accuses Mariah Carey of suddenly canceling a $67,500 contract for a holiday concert series with a choir that donates proceeds to struggling New York City kids, reports Page Six.

Carey had inked a deal with the nonprofit Broadway Inspirational Voices in November 2016 for 20 professional performers to support her nine holiday concerts at Manhattan’s Beacon Theater, according to the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court.
The group, which features Broadway veterans who’ve appeared with such stars as Elton John and Sting, had joined Mimi for her annual “All I Want for Christmas” shows in 2014.

But trouble with the 2016 concert series began when Carey’s production company, Mirage Entertainment, failed to pay a $4,000 security deposit after signing the deal, the suit says.
Then, just a week before the first show, Carey’s rep told the group that she had “decided to go in another direction with regard to the choir.” When they asked for explanation and payment they “were met with dismissive and derisive responses from Ms. Carey’s counsel,” the suit says.
Her manager, Michael Morobitto, would only cite a vague “series of events beyond his control,” the suit says.
“As a result the choir postponed plans to use the promised payments to fund a music program at an elementary school whose art program had been cut,” according to court papers.

The nonprofit is suing for $67,500 plus additional damages.

Murder of Drake’s OVO crew member caught on video
A member of rapper Drake’s OVO crew was killed in a drive-by shooting in Toronto, Canada on Thursday, September, 14. Toronto police hope surveillance footage of the shooting leads to the capture of the 2 gunmen.
Anthony “Fif” Soares, 33, was shot and killed as he waited to be buzzed into the lobby of an apartment building at 6 Glamorgan Ave at 2:54 a.m.

Surveillance cameras in the lobby and outside the building shows a white Ford Fusion driving slowly past the front of the building. Seconds later, 2 gunmen wearing hoodies and skinny pants run up and open fire.
One gunman paused to wipe his fingerprints off the shattered glass door before firing one last round into Soares.
The shooters jumped back into the Ford Fusion and fled the scene.
Soares was the second member of Drake’s OVO crew to die in the last several months.
Toronto Police Detective Sergeant Gary Giroux confirmed Soares was affiliated with Drake.
“Drake was a friend of his,” he said, adding that he hoped Drake uses his social media platform to “encourage anybody within the community to come forward with regards to any information that they may have that may assist in solving his friend’s murder.”

Drake paid tribute to Soares in an Instagram post last week:
