Earlier that afternoon, while announcing rapper Kendrick
Lamar, Rosenberg told the crowd that Nicki Minaj bet not perform that 'wack ass
Starships', which happens to be Nicki's current #1 single.
The first one to pop off was Nicki's hype man / boyfriend
Safaree.
Then Lil Wayne laid down the law.
Young Money artist Tyga either didn't get the memo or just
said fcuk Young Money because he still went on at 7pm despite Weezy's ruling.
Nicki, however, refused to perform and instead taunted her Barbs with the epic
guests she'd planned to bring out, including Lauryn Hill and Foxy
Brown.
And then she pulled the race card.
The end..
After hearing of the verbal
sleighing, Lil Wayne pulled the plug on the whole operation. Rather than
dwelling on Rosenberg's slanderous rant,
Minaj kicked back with the likes of
Beanie Man, Foxy Brown, and Cam'ron..
However in stride, by spent the rest of the night out with some of the surprise
guests, rumored to appear during her set. Young Money's first lady abruptly
canceled her headlining spot Sunday (June 3), after radio host Peter Rosenberg
took shots at her Pop-heavy single, "Starships."
