JUSTICE FOR SHELLEY HILLIARD Her Murderer has been SENTENCED!
More developments in the brutal murder of Shelley Hilliard. Qasim Raqib who charged with killing and dismembering a transgender teenager learned his fate Monday.
Qasim was ordered Monday to serve 25 to 40 years in prison in the brutal October killing of a transgender teen. Qasim Raqib was sentenced by 3rd Circuit Judge Bruce Morrow after pleading guilty March 7 to second-degree murder charges in the death of Henry Hilliard Jr., aka Shelley Hilliard. Authorities said Raqib mutilated Hilliard's body and set the 19-year-old on fire in the street on Detroit's east side.
The killing occurred days after Hilliard worked with police in an attempt to set Raqib up in a drug deal.
Once he found out about Shelley being a drug snitch he posted bail and began to set up her Murder. What he did next was purchased a cell phone and lured her to an address on Longfellow in Detroit . As FOX 2 Detroit first reported, it was a cab driver who dropped her off and stayed on the phone with Hilliard because she felt unsafe. He heard her cries for help, but by the time he made his way back, Hilliard and the man she met were gone. That was 1:30 in the morning on October 23rd. Three hours later a burned torso was discovered on Bewick near I-94.
Maybe now she can rest in Peace and her Family can finally begin to find CLOSURE!
