ESSENCE just announced their lineup for the 2012 Essence Music Festival in
New Orleans. I went last year and had the time of my life and from the looks of
it this year will be even better. My girl Fantasia is about to make her return
to the stage after giving birth last month. While Essence hasn’t made public
who’s on mainstage at the Superdome and who is in the superlounges.
Fanny’s set to take the mainstage, as well as Aretha Franklin, Mary J
Blige, Charlie Wilson, Ledisi, and Keyshia Cole.
And in the superlounges: Bridget Kelly, Stephanie Mills, SWV, Dru Hill, Vivian Green, Goapele, The Stylistics, Raheem Devaughn, and more.

George Michael has been spotted out and about for the first time since
recovering from a life-threatening bout of pneumonia.
The 48-year-old boarded a plane to Amsterdam at Heathrow airport with his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, 38, last night.
Though a little thinner than he was prior to his illness, the singer looked on good form.

The pop star received treatment for pneumonia at the AKH clinic in Vienna,
Austria, for five weeks after falling ill in late November.
He was discharged
from the medical centre on the morning of the 22nd December, and taken straight
to the airport so he could be at home for Christmas.
George had to cancel all the remaining shows on his 'Symphonica Tour' when he became unwell.
The medics explained that Michael's case 'evolved from a severe
pneumococcal infection', and 'necessitated intensive care due to its severity
and extension.'
They made clear that he will need a period of 'complete rest' to recover from the illness but emphasised he had no further underlying health problems.
