Kenya Moore Calls Out NeNe Leakes
On last season's Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show Ne Ne Leakes famously promised to match a donation to the charity of Kenya Moore's choice after accusing Kenya of using NeNe's name and one of her favorite charities in a shameless attempt to promote herself

Kenya Moore eventually made a $20k contribution to The Detroit Public Schools
On the episode of Watch What Happens Live immediately following the season premier of The Real Housewives of Atlanta NeNe Leakes told Andy Cohen she has no intention of donating money to the Detroit Public Schools because the statute of limitations on her offer had run out.
Kenya Moore immediately called foul and demanded NeNe stand by her word.

Harvard students sit the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test that black voters had to pass before being allowed to go to the polls - and every single person FAILED
A group of Harvard students were recently asked by their tutor to sit the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test - a notorious document with confusing questions that was used to stop black citizens from voting.
Just 50 years ago, states in the South asked voters who couldn't provide proof of a fifth grade education to pass the test in order to be eligible to cast a ballot.
The test was intended to disenfranchise African-Americans, who in order to pass had to correctly answer all 30 questions in 10 minutes.
Despite their Ivy League pedigree, none of the students managed to pass the test and their reactions as they struggled to make sense of the obtuse questions was filmed.

A group of Harvard students were recently asked by their tutor to sit the notorious 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test, a document once used to test the eligibility of certain people to vote
All of the students failed to pass the test which was intended to disenfranchise African-Americans some 50 years ago. A group of African-American voters stand in line to vote in Baltimore in 1964, left
The vague questions included requests to 'spell backwards, forwards,' and 'print the word vote upside down, but in the right order.'
According to Carl Miller, a resident tutor at Harvard and a fellow at the law school, the purpose of sitting the test was to learn about how unjustly rigged the electoral process was at that time.
'Exactly 50 years ago, states in the American South issued this exact test to any voter who could not "prove a fifth grade education,'" said Miller.
A student reacts to hearing that he has failed to pass the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test
Despite their Ivy League pedigree, none of the students managed to pass the test and their reactions as they struggled to make sense of the obtuse questions was filmed
'Unsurprisingly, the only people who ever saw this test were blacks and, to a lesser extent, poor whites trying to vote in the South.'
With his video experiment, Miller thought it would be interesting to see if some of the 'brightest young minds in the world' could pass a literacy exam meant to prove that a person had at least a fifth-grade education.
Miller said not a single one of his student passed the exam, because it was designed in such a way that each question could be interpreted as wrong by the registrar official looking over the answers.
'Louisiana’s literacy test was designed to be failed. Just like all the other literacy tests issued in the South at the time, this test was not about testing literacy at all. It was a legitimate sounding, but devious measure that the State of Louisiana used to disenfranchise people that had the wrong skin tone or belonged to the wrong social class,' he said.
'And just like that, countless black and poor white voters in the South were disenfranchised.'
He hopes his students will now appreciate the importance of exercising their constitutional right to vote.

NOW TAKE THE TEST FOR YOURSELF...

Ariana Grande & Jessie J Set To REMAKE "The Boy Is Mine”
Famed producer Rodney Jerkins is celebrating his 20th anniversary in the music business by recruiting new artists to cover some of his biggest hits. One of the first songs is a planned remake of the 1998 Monica and Brandy classic "The Boy Is Mine"....with Ariana Grande and Jessie J.  You read that right.

He'll also redo Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” with “Stay With Me” crooner Sam Smith. Sam is VERY excited about the project. During a talk with Hits Daily Double, Rodney relayed Sam's response saying:

“Sam told me [that] was the song that made him want to sing. When I asked him if he’d be a part of this project, he was like, ‘No one else can do that song but me!'

Alrighty then....are we all excited that some of R&B's greatest hits are getting the re-do by some of today's hottest (non-Black) artists? Maybe Rodney can recruit Justin Bieber to remake "Say My Name" or Taylor Swift for "He Wasn't Man Enough"?  Since we're going down this road and all...

Charlie Hunnam Flexes Up A Storm on Men’s Health December 2014
He’s the object of many a woman’s affection and Charlie Hunnam is red hot on the cover of Men's Health magazine.
The 34-year-old “Sons of Anarchy” stud flexes his formidable arms in his photo shoot and discusses why he pulled out of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Charlie notes, “I was going to finish playing a psychopath who’d just lost his wife, and five days later I’d be on set playing Christian Grey. I was like, ‘This is going to be a f*cking disaster.’ It was the opposite of how I’ve tried to ground my career, not stretch myself too thin, and always do my homework.”
As for his workout routine, Hunnam explains, “I go into the gym and do 75 pull-ups, 75 dips, 150 squats, 150 pushups, and then 20 minutes of ab work. Done. It takes an hour; I’m in and out. I sweat the whole time.”
Furthermore, “I work out more for the mental than the physical aspect. I can get slightly dark when I’m not keeping a routine. It’s all about feeling healthy and energetic.”

'Selma,' 'American Sniper' crash the Oscar race on the same night
It'd been roughly two months since a sure-fire new Oscar hopeful hit the scene, and right on the heels of Interstellar come two more — Selma and American Sniper, which landed on the same night Tuesday at AFI Fest.
On the night of Veteran's Day, Selma, the Dr. Martin Luther King biopic covering the 1965 voting-rights marches in Alabama, and Clint Eastwood's American Sniper, the story of Navy SEAL and "most lethal sniper in American military history" Christopher Kyle, debuted in back-to-back screenings at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Each seems to have earned its Oscar-hopeful stripes. Both used the element of surprise at the annual American Film Institute festival.
Paramount Pictures was only planning to show 30 minutes of Selma, but Oprah Winfrey, a producer with a small role in the film, and director Ava DuVernay let it be known in a Twitter back-and-forth on Sunday that the edit got done just in time — they'd be showing the whole thing.

AFI Fest is shaping up to be a critical awards-season showcase; because it comes several months after Telluride, the Venice Film Fest and Toronto, it gives late-entry films a high-profile showcase on the eve of hard-core campaigning time.

Also well-received here, though perhaps longer shots for big nominations, were Margin Call director J.C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year and The Gambler, starring Mark Wahlberg.

There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice, starring Joaquin Phoenix, also screened Saturday night at the Egyptian, raising hopes for fans of Josh Brolin — though its muddled storyline will likely keep it out of the bigger races.

DC SHADE????? Washington Redskins Unlikely To Extend Robert Griffin III
There has been quite a bit of drama surrounding Robert Griffin III since he returned to the Washington Redskins last week, and it doesn’t appear that it will stop anytime soon. Now there are question marks surrounding whether or not the Redskins are planning to extend his contract anytime soon, and it doesn’t appear that they are ready to commit to him long-term.
Reports FanSide:

According to John Keim of ESPN.com, it doesn’t look like the Redskins will be extending Griffin’s contract this year.

Griffin has been extremely injury prone this season, and has been unable to get back to his rookie season form. He was an absolute beast in his first year, and actually led Washington to the playoffs. Since then, he has been extremely inconsistent when he has been on the field and more than often he has been sitting on the sidelines due to injuries.

Washington tried to give Kirk Cousins a chance when Griffin went out with injury this year, but he was unable to take advantage of that chance. Third-string quarterback Colt McCoy on the other hand did take advantage of the opportunity, and perhaps he should get more playing time at the end of the year assuming the Redskins get eliminated earlier once again.

It’s going to be intriguing to see what ends up happening with this situation, especially with all of the news coming out. The Redskins definitely aren’t sold anymore that Griffin is their long-term guy, but he still has so much potential if he can figure everything out. Griffin has been very adamant about his belief that he is the Redskins’ guy, and that he will lead the team forward.

That being said, he will have to prove his worth over the next few weeks if he wants to hold onto that starting job throughout the offseason. He will likely be the starter for another year at least, but McCoy might have a chance to have a competition with Griffin assuming he’s back with the team in preseason action. Either way, the Redskins’ patience is wearing thin with Griffin.

Usher & Tameka Raymond Sex Tape May Hit the Market
A new celebrity sex tape may be on the market in the near future. Reportedly, there is a vintage sex tape of Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Raymond. Apparently, the sex tape was stolen from Usher’s car in 2010. The alleged thief stole 2 laptops, 2 video cameras and a million dollars in jewelry.

Since the tape is stolen, there’s no way that Usher would sign off on it for distribution. And for this reason, the person attempting to sell the sex tape is looking for blogs to purchase it.

Celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos is repping Usher and is aggressively attempting to identify the person attempting to sell the tape. Neither Usher nor Tameka have yet to comment.

Randy Jackson leaving 'American Idol,' and he's serious this time
The dawg is leaving his house.

Fox has confirmed that Randy Jackson, who was one of American Idol's three original judges, will not be returning to the show in any capacity.
After Season 12, Jackson left his role as judge but returned as a mentor the following year, a post he held for one season.
American Idol, Fox, Fremantlemedia North America and 19 Entertainment released a joint statement on Jackson's decision: "Randy has been such an integral part of American Idol since day one, both as a judge and as a mentor. He's provided great advice and support, shaping the success of so many Idols we have discovered over the years. We wish him all the best in his next chapter. Randy will always be part of our Idol family and we hope he'll visit from time to time."

Jackson's departure marks the official end of the Originals Era of American Idol. He has been with the show since 2002, when he took a seat at the judges table beside Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, who left in 2009 and 2010, respectively.

Season 14 of American Idol — with returning judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. — will debut in January 2015.

Will you miss Randy? Or will you be aight?

Cee Lo Green Causes Uproar By Changing John Lennon Lyrics, Responds To Fans
The Soul Machine says that he didn't mean to offend any fans for changing lyrics to "Imagine."
During his performance on New Year’s Eve, Cee Lo Green performed John Lennon’s classic song “Imagine” and changed a few of the lyrics at the end of the song. For his rendition, Cee Lo altered the last lines - “Nothing to kill or die for / And no religion, too” - to “And all religion’s true.”

After causing uproar on the Internet, the Goodie Mob member took to Twitter to explain why he changed the lyrics to the song.
“Yo I meant no disrespect by changing the lyric guys! I was trying to say a world were u could believe what u wanted that's all,” he wrote. The tweet has since been deleted.

USHER & TAMEKA THE CUSTODY DRAMA CONTINUES!
Tameka Raymond asked a Georgia court last month for full custody of their two kids — claiming Usher has continually dropped the ball as a parent … failing to get her permission to travel with their kids, hiring nannies without her approval … the list goes on.
Tameka also claimed Usher callously closed her Saks 5th Avenue credit card – and now she can’t take advantage of the “special benefits” the card offers. But Usher claims it’s all BS — filing his own response in the ongoing custody battle … asking a judge to reject Tameka’s request for full custody, on grounds her allegations are false.
Usher and Tameka currently share joint physical custody of the kids. As TMZ previously reported, Tameka has also tried numerous times to get the judge to force Usher to submit to a drug test. So far, no luck.
The website TMZ has reached out to both sides for comment — so far, no word back. A trial date has been set for February 27.

HOWEVER;Kanye West as DJ? : Vegas People Not Happy With His Skills
Kanye West was spotted at a New Year’s Eve party DJ’ing by the name of “DJ World Jeezy.”
According to sources, the party was hosted by Fergie in Las Vegas. Kanye played a 3-hour set and played songs including Rihanna’s We Found Love, some old school classics by MJ and others. He also played his own songs including “Nigga’s In Paris” for as many as 5 times.
Sources added that Kanye’s G.O.O.D Music family was also at the party. However, the people who paid a really big chunk of money ($275 to $15,000) to attend the party did not seem too happy with their new DJ’s performance. Some of them took to twitter to express their frustration with their DJ in a polite way. Two of those tweets go as the following:
Looks like Kanye West won’t have a good career in DJ’ing, right? Or do you think he’ll improve over time?

Derrick Rose New Sneaker Deal Is Worth Quarter Of Billion Dollars
Move over Lebron, Move over Kobe…. Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls has stepped into the building and doing it big. He just signed a five-year contract extension with the Chicago Bulls worth nearly $95 million. And he’s about to get richer.
In his Weekend Dime on ESPN.com, Marc Stein drops news from “one industry source” that the point guard will soon sign a “lifetime” endorsement deal with the company worth up to $250 million.

Stein wrote, “Rose, as it was explained to me, is adidas’ only counter to Kobe Bryant in China. I’m told Rose already outsells LeBron James there.”
Which means he also clearly outsells Dwight Howard.
If this deal goes through, it will probably make Derrick Rose the highest paid shoe endorser in the NBA.

IN TODAYS’ TOMFOOLERY NEWS; Dennis Rodman To Coach NYC Topless Women’s Basketball Team
NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman wants t0 coach a women’s team, who just so happen to be topless. Dennis came up with the idea after he found out that rival strip joint Rick’s Cabaret had launched a league with former Atlanta Hawk star Spud Webb.
Talking about the venture, Dennis said,
“I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the court. He added, “You don’t have to have too much experience, just know how to throw the ball into the hole.”
How will Rodman’s practices run? Is he going to take it seriously or is this all in good fun?

Dramatic Video: T.I. Watches as DJ Big Boy Collapses in Front of Him
(Big Boy & T.I. right before the DJ collapsed and went into a seizure ... all caught on camera)
*Thanks to Kevin Ross’ Radio Facts we came across a segment of T.I. and Tiny’s new show which aired Monday night as a bonus episode.
Trust me, if you didn’t see it, it’s startling and extremely scary. Take a look starting at about the 5 minute mark.
video:
But what we found most interesting and dramatic was the scene where LA/nationally syndicated radio show host Big Boy, who lost over 250 pounds after by-pass surgery, collapses and has a seizure during T.I.’s visit to the station.
I hope he’s fine!

Charli Baltimore Talks 2012 Comeback, Responds To Rumors Of Jay-Z Ghostwriting For Her
One-third of The Commission explains why music, and not gossip, tops her itinerary for '12 and responds to longstanding rumors of ghostwritten rhymes.
In the trailer for her forthcoming new album (due April 24th), not only does Charli Baltimore show off her just-released new single, "Machine Gun," but the West Philadelphia emcee born Tiffany Lane is also clearly showing off her shaved-head tattoo that sent tongues wagging online this past summer.

"It says 'we are never deceiving others, we are only deceiving ourselves,'" she explained of her German-inscribed tat. "I kinda got it like paying homage to my dad. My dad was German and Irish, so I dunno, just something different."

Almost every move in the career of the spitter named after Geena Davis' assassin character in The Long Kiss Goodnight has been "different" from her mic-grabbing peers. Entering the Rap game not through open mics and battle-rhyme competitions but via her romantic relationship with The Notorious B.I.G. caused Charli to be seen as too different in the eyes of many skeptical Hip Hop heads who viewed her solely as a beneficiary of Biggie's legacy and not an artist to take seriously in her own right. Respect as an emcee has been hard to earn for Ms. B-More from the very beginning of her career in the late '90s, with the criticism of nepotism being compounded by rumors that her rhymes were being supplied by her other Commission crew-member.
"Jay-Z didn't ghostwrite 'Money,'" replied Charli when asked about Hov's role in her debut single. "I never had any [songs] ghostwritten by Jay-Z. I do all my own writing. But actually, 'Money' was written by The L.O.X. And that was because I had just gotten my deal and the person running the label at the time, [Lance "Un" Rivera], just thought that my first single should be written by someone else. But they wrote that and then after that I never had anybody else write anything for me. I write all of my stuff."
"I'm really big on that," she continued. "I think that's really important. I mean, I know people don't really pay a lot of attention to it, but to me it's just kind of my thing. I write all of my stuff, so I don't have a problem with saying that The L.O.X. wrote 'Money' 'cause everything else after that was all my stuff."

Charli was forced to defend herself against detractors wanting to know if she spit her own hits after "Money" on the DJ Premier-produced "Everybody Wanna Know" from her eventually shelved debut full-length, Cold as Ice. But ironically, that track only further fueled speculation of a Jay-Z influence either directly or indirectly on her bars.
"Well, that's hot! That's great. That's a great comparison," she replied when her Jigga-esque delivery on "Everybody Wanna Know" was inquired about. "I've actually heard that before. I mean, when I signed with Murder Inc., Irv Gotti was really big on all of his artists being able to be multi-talented. Ja [Rule] wrote R&B and was able to write Hip Hop. I kinda did the same, but rhyming is more my thing more so than R&B. But, he used to tell me that I rapped a little bit like Hov. So that's a compliment. I'll take that all day."

What the onetime "Down Ass Chick" for Murder Inc. would also gladly take all day are questions (even sharp ones) about her rhyming rather than nosey inquiries into her personal life. For her reemergence on the music scene in 2012 (which is being assisted by indie powerhouse Gracie Productions), she is making her bars the focus of discussion and not past label drama, love interests, or even tattoos.
"My personal life overshadowed a lot of my music, which is kinda sad because I know for a fact that I can write really well," said Charli. "But, you know, at this point in my life I feel like that's in the past. The stuff happened so long ago that it's not really relevant to anything that's going on now, so hopefully the music can speak for itself and all of my personal life, stuff that went on that people are kind of intrigued with, will stay behind the scenes."
