“X-Men: Apocalypse” Has Four Covers For Entertainment Weekly
Movie fans are chomping at the bit ahead of the May 27th release date for “X-Men: Apocalypse” and now Entertainment Weekly is joining in the celebration with four mutant covers.
Featuring Michael Fassbender, Olivia Munn, Ben Hardy, Oscar Isaac, James McAvoy, Alexandra Shipp, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult and Sophie Turner, the new editions are on newsstands now.
See all the covers

Of his run with the franchise, James McAvoy tells the publication, “Even if this is the last one for me or for other people, you just are sort of grateful for the experience. I know I can speak for a lot of the other guys as well that it’s been a really positive experience for us professionally and socially and personally.”

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes, I’ll be back for Season #9 for R.H.o.A!
(AJC) NeNe Leakes, speaking to hundreds of fans at the Ultimate Women’s Expo this past weekend at the Georgia World Congress Center, refused to answer specifically whether she’ll be back for the ninth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
But her teasingly noncommittal answer certainly implied that she will return because if she really wasn’t planning to, she’d say so. She’s that type of person.
The questioner asked straight out if she was coming back after complaining this past season without her was a “snoozefest.”

“Season nine?” Leakes said on stage. “Uhhhh…’Housewives?’ Uhhhh…. you got to wait for them [Bravo] to announce it. I can’t announce it. I would be in so much trouble if I made the announcement.”
“Maybe?” the questioner said. “Maybe. We’ll see. I think you guys will be surprised by who’s coming back and who’s not coming back.”
Leakes during her 30-minute talk also said she has a one-woman show which she plans to bring in Atlanta toward the end of the year.

She is also not into opening a boutique for her clothing line. “That’s not my thing.” But she says, “I love doing pop-up shops,” she said.
One of the sadder questions from the audience was someone who has no friends and wondered how to make them. NeNe couldn’t help her. “That must feel pretty lonely,” she said.

Of the Saturday speakers, NeNe and Mo’Nique drew the largest crowds.

‘Empire’ Cast Reacts to Season Finale Death: ‘It Was Like a Tornado’
(Variety) Fresh off of a suspenseful season finale, the cast of “Empire” hit the red carpet for their second For Your Consideration Emmy event at Fox lot’s Zanuck Theater. The stars said they were still reeling from Wednesday night’s cliffhanger.

Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Y. Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones and Serayah McNeill attended the event on Friday and everyone’s reaction was a mix of excitement, shock and nervousness.

  • Howard: “Who the hell wrote this and how can I figure out where they’re going next? I loved it because I didn’t know where we were going and as an actor, that’s what you want. You like it when the director doesn’t give you the last 10 pages of the script because then you can’t do an impersonation of yourself and you can’t act like God predicting the future. It’s nice not to know the future and to have to live within the constraints of mortal man in trying to guess what’s going to happen.”
  • Sidibe: “I was like, ‘Oh s—!’ We had a table read for it and we could not believe what was going to happen and it was amazing. The way they set it up we don’t know who is going over that cliff.
  • Jones: “I had a stroke, heart attack, aneurysm. I had anything you can name. I definitely didn’t expect Rhonda to react the way she did. I didn’t expect her to be so gangsta. Her inner Cookie came out.”
  • Gray: “The season finale was turned up, turned up,” sang Gray. “It was epic, unpredictable and it had so many side turns and alley ways.”
  • Gealey: “Oh my gosh I think I was like everybody. I literally was like, ‘Ooh ah ooh ah nooo!’ It was all of that in one.”
  • Byers: “I was nervous. It’s one thing to film it and it’s another thing seeing it right in front of your eyes and what the edits are going to be. It’s always different from what you expect. But, I had fun.”
  • McNeil: “It was like a tornado. Everything just kept happening and at the end you don’t know what happens. I mean obviously I knew some of what was going on but we still don’t know who is going to die. So that’s the good thing; we get to be compelled by the story as well.”
  • Smollett: “It’s quite the cliffhanger, so it’s going to be an exciting season three. I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen, I don’t know who really went over that cliff. I know nothing, so it’s exciting.”
  • Henson: “I knew what was happening. I still don’t know who lives. They don’t tell us anything, so I’m still waiting to see who fell off the balcony myself.”
  • The cast was also joined by “Empire” executive producer Ilene Chaiken and producer/director Sanaa Hamri. The cast and producers took the stage for a Q&A after a screening for fans and TV academy members. The event was followed by an “Empire” after-party held on the Fox lot which many of the cast members attended, including Jones and McNeil.
The 68th Emmy Award nominations will be annouced on July 14 and the ceremony will be held on Sept. 18.

“Empire” returns this fall on Fox

New Music: Stream Ameriie's new EP ‘Drive’!
Ameriie makes her return to the music scene with her new EP, Drive (via HHNM). The project consists of 5 songs, with Fabolous making an appearance on “Every Time.”
After an opening verse from Fab, Ameriie follows; singing about holding on to her man, despite people’s opinions that she should let him go.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club on Thursday, Ameriie opened up about her hiatus, saying:

I know I disappeared and people are like, ‘What happened?’ It’s because, I don’t really chase after fame. I don’t really love red carpets. Maybe it’s because of the OCD thing. They just give me a lot of anxiety…People ask me to do reality shows, but that’s not me.

She also revealed that she has more music on its way soon, as she plans to put out another EP in July.

In the meantime. Here’s her FULL DRIVE EP in full….STREAM IT HERE

New Hip Hop: Drake Feat. Lil Wayne – ‘Hype (Remix)’
Not only did YG premiere his new Drake-assisted single “Why You Always Hatin?” on OVOSOUND Radio, but Drizzy also dropped a remix of his own during Saturday’s episode.

The OVO boss calls up his mentor Lil Wayne for the remix to “Hype” off his No. 1 album Views. Weezy kicks off the track with a spitfire verse about Prince (“I pull up on ya in that purple thang, bumpin’ ‘Purple Rain'”), his ex Christina Milian (“You don’t see ‘Tina right next to me”), Steph Curry, and even Barney (“I call my AK Barney and I’ma let this Baby Bop”).

Just last weekend, Drake performed the Boi-1da and Nineteen85-produced song for the first time on “SNL.”

Those 'Angry Birds' are #1 at The Box Office!
Sony's The Angry Birds Movie took the number one spot at the domestic box office this weekend, pushing two-time champion, Captain America: Civil War, to second place as it begins its third week in release. Civil War's weekend, however, wasn't only about the domestic box office as it has now become the first 2016 release to cross $1 billion worldwide, doing so in just 24 days of global release. The weekend's two other new wide releases, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and The Nice Guys, finished in third and fourth position respectively. Also, X-Men: Apocalypse launched overseas one week ahead of its domestic debut and hauled in over $100 million.

Based on Rovio's mobile game application, Angry Birds finished just ahead of weekend tracking with an estimated $39 million. The best comparison from a performance standpoint is 2006's Over the Hedge, which also opened the week before Memorial Day weekend and scored a $38.4 million opening. That film, however, had much better critical reviews than Angry Birds is seeing (currently 42% on RottenTomatoes) and Over the Hedge scored an "A" CinemaScore compared to the "B+" for Angry Birds.

Good for the Birds!

SHOTS FIRED! Lee Daniels to Mariah Carey…YOU SHADY B*TCH!
What’s the Tea? Lee Daniels claims Mariah Carey tricked him into appearing on her upcoming reality show and he is NOT happy about it...

Lee Daniels sat down with Bevy Smith for Bevelations on SiriusXM radio and explained,
“That b**ch!... She says, ‘Come over…’ I show up to this room at a Kosher steakhouse somewhere on Wall Street, and the cameras are in my face and recording our conversation! And she says, ‘Dahling, dahling, dahling (sic), sign (the release form), sign it, sign it, we’re doing a little documentary.’”
“The next day, I’m reading… that she has a f**king reality show, and I’m terrified about it.”
“I don’t know if it’s a wise idea for her...I was at the gym, I saw it, and I was like, ‘Oh, Lord. What is she doing?’ I think it’s bigger than her. I think it’s not a good idea. I think that the true geniuses have to be saved from themselves sometimes.”
“She is very fragile, and she has been through a lot. She has been used, she has been abused… She masks it with this coquettish thing that is hiding her nervousness and her pain and her own family’s abuse to her. She is misunderstood, because she is really, really ride or die. She really, really, really will do anything for you.”

Waiting for that Mimi response

Larry David thinks white people only pretend to like ‘Hamilton’ to be ‘hip’
I’m going back and forth about whether I think these Larry David quotes are offensive. Larry David was doing an interview with the Mike Lupica Show this week, and he was asked about the smash Broadway musical Hamilton. Hamilton has been a phenomenon for more than a year, it’s pulled in tens of millions of dollars in ticket sales, and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has won a Pulitzer and a Peabody, plus the musical picked up no fewer than 16 Tony Award nominations. Basically, everyone thinks Hamilton is THE BEST. Full-stop. But no, says Larry David. Hamilton is popular because white people are just pretending to like it so they can be hip.

“Hamilton” may be making history on Broadway, but Larry David, for one, is curbing his enthusiasm. The comic actor took to the “Mike Lupica Show” podcast, which debuted Tuesday, to express his theory that a lot of the demand comes from white ticket-buyers trying to “solidify their liberal bona fides.”

“Yeah, ‘Hamilton’ — it was pretty amazing,” David told the Daily News columnist. “But I have a feeling there are a lot of white people who are saying they are completely blown away even though they didn’t really understand half of the things the people on stage were saying. They just want to solidify their liberal bona fides and how cool they are: ‘Yea, I love Hamilton. Yea I get it, I’m hip.’”

Lupica made a connection to the kind of voters who mislead political pollsters.

“I think some of them are. No but, the show is amazing,” said David. “No doubt about it, it’s an incredible show, but I do have this theory on a lot of the people that are seeing it.”

Chris has PHUCKED up Karrueche Tran so BAD she now needs INYANLA to fix her Life!
Nope, it's not a joke.  Or a spoof.  Karrueche Tran is really about to get her life fixed by Iyanla Vanzant chile.  And yes, they're talking about Chris' secret break baby situation, betrayal, and everything else. The timing of this is impeccable.
While this doesn't appear to be a regular "Fix My Life" episode, it instead seems to be a one off and exlusive sit down with Iyanla.  Rihanna had hers with Oprah, so Kae said she's going to get hers with Iyanla.  It airs next Saturday, March 28th at 8p/7c.

Kae tweeted, "its not fix my life. There's no bashing.. All positive."

Nelly with Erbil governor Nawzad Hadi.
*Nelly performed at a charity concert in Northern Iraq for an annual soccer tournament in the city of Erbil hosted by the Rwanga Foundation.

According to Rwanga.org, the performance made history as Nelly is “the first American artist to perform in the city’s 8,000 year old history.”

Rumor has it Nelly was paid nicely for his appearance, but the performance was to raise money for the peshmerga, the Kurdish fighting force against ISIS.

Might Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx be An Item?
*Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx friends with benefits?
OK, that’s an inartful way of asking/wondering if the two stars are dating? In fact,  that’s the headline (Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx Dating?) and question from PEOPLE Magazine.

It’s not exactly a new question, either. There have been rumors that the two have been an item on the down low for quite some time.
In this week’s issue of PEOPLE, multiple sources confirm the pair have been spending time together for well over a year – but it’s nothing serious.

“This is not some intense romance,” a source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE. “Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn.”
Adds the source: “But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”
Adding to the talk, the actress, whose new drama – “Mania Days” – had its premiere at SXSW over the weekend, moved back to LA from NYC last August and bought a house back for her and 8-year-old daughter Suri, whose father is Tom Cruise.

An insider tells PEOPLE Holmes, 36, has been spotted visiting Foxx, 47, “often” at his nearby home and that “they spend hours together” at a time.

You can find MORE at PEOPLE.

Uh Oh: Bobbi Kristina’s $250K 10-Carat Diamond Ring Given to Her By Her Mother is Reportedly Missing
Uh oh….According to a report from Radar Online, a 10-carat diamond ring Whitney Houston gave Bobbi Kristina has gone missing since Bobbi’s bathtub incident.

It’s the same $250,000 ring that Brown, 22, famously shared on Instagram as her “engagement ring” in 2012, when she announced she would marry Nick Gordon, the man who called the late singer “mom.”

Questions about the whereabouts of the stunning ring were raised last week, when Gordon asked his mother during their interview with Dr. Phil if she had “the ring.”
Michelle Gordon told her son she had it, and was keeping it in a safe place.

A Houston family representative later called Dr. Phil to ask for help in locating the ring, a source with knowledge of the call tells Radar. The Houston family rep declined to comment.
A source close to Gordon tells Radar that the ring his mother was referring to was a DIFFERENT diamond ring he bought for Brown last year — and not the much larger one once owned by Houston.

Fix it Jesus. We’ve all seen how unstable Nick Gordon is, so let’s just hope he has absolutely nothing to do with the ring’s disappearance.

Has anyone searched Pat?

Designer Launches Kid Wear with Answers to Injustice & Abuse
*San Diego, CA  — African-American Designer, Owner and Creative Director of The Write Fit, LLC, Joshlyn Turner, launches The Write Fit Kids, “The World How We See It.”

The collection is stylish and fun with powerful statements like, “Be kind to me I am the future,” which speaks volumes to the abuse and ongoing injustice in the African-American community.

African-American Designer, and Owner and Creative Director of The Write Fit, LLC, Joshlyn Turner, launches The Write Fit Kids, “The World How We See It”.
The Write Fit Kids promotes positive self-image and inspires kids to be whatever they want in the world. The Write Fit Kids is a collection with purpose and meaning from a child’s perspective with sizes ranging from Infant (6 months) to Youth (X-Large) and is available on The Write Fit website at www.shopthewritefit.com

The Write Fit, LLC is an ingenious online apparel company for men and women specializing in graphic T-shirts that relates the lives of individuals around the world and launched on June 28, 2013. The T-shirts are uniquely separated into eccentric themes like: Soundtrack to Life, It’s a Man’s World, Love Me Write, Got Pride and Sweat Box.
“I created The Write Fit as a platform for creative expression through fashion. I use various inspirations like: life, love, thoughts and everyday situations to create the statements. When people wear The Write

Fit, I want them to feel like they are wearing life with a purpose”, said Joshlyn Turner. “I received so much positive feedback, especially from my African-American customers that I wanted to design items for the entire family to choose from; so I created The Write Fit Kids. The collection is extremely special to me because it highlights my sensitivity to the future of our children and what they will become in the world. I want kids to feel a sense of self-identity that is age appropriate, fun and fashionable”.
Joshlyn, who also holds the title of Youth Program Coordinator at a non-profit organization in San Diego, which offers a work readiness program for youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System, understands the struggles African-American children and youth are facing.

“I see the negative outlook they have on their future and the lack of motivation for education”, said Joshlyn Turner. According to the kidsdata.org website in 2013, 19.7 percent of African-American youth in California dropped out of high school. A report from the Office of the Attorney General in California asserted that a 10 percent increase in graduation would result in a 20 percent reduction in incarceration and assault rates.

Growing up in the urban streets of Southeast San Diego, Joshlyn witnessed those who dropped out of high school and fell victim to early pregnancy, drugs and incarceration. However, she refused to be a statistic. Joshlyn graduated from Hampton University and recently received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Joshlyn and long time friend, and Spelman graduate, Roberta Moore created the TurnMoore Dreams Scholarship, given to students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher attending a Historically Black College or University. Joshlyn Turner stated, “I not only want to be a mentor, but a role model. I want our youth to see me actively working towards my goals and accomplishing them, so they’ll continue to work toward theirs”.
Local Barbershop Owner, Weldon E. Cook Jr. stated, “The Write Fit Kids collection is super different. I like the designs and the messages. Whenever my kids wear the clothing, people always ask where I got it, or that they love the messages too”.

The Write Fit Kids, “The World How We See It” is a collection that is fashion-forward and fun with meaningful messages from a child’s perspective. The apparel ranges in size from Infant (6 months) to Youth (X-Large) and is available on The Write Fit website at www.shopthewritefit.com
For additional information or questions about the apparel, emailcontact@shopthewritefit.com

New Couple Alert?? Is Jordan Sparks Crushin’ On Sage The Gemini? [PICS]
Jordan Sparks posted some cute pics with a topless Sage The Gemini and one can only think; is something brewing here? Hmmm. Check out the pics below

But hold up…… Jordin recently addressed the rumors and she’s saying they’re just friends—for now anyway.
“I can’t take a picture with anybody! Listen, I’ve dated like five people this past week because it’s like anybody I take a picture with, all of a sudden we’re dating,” she told Hip Hollywood.

Jordin didn’t seem too bothered by the rumors though and went on to say that she understands why people are trying to pair her off.
“I am single so I guess people are going to speculate and talk.”
Interestingly, the 24-year-old says that she would be open to dating Sage. Maybe.
“He’s a great guy and he’s super talented. Hey, you know what? If you want to call me, maybe. Maybe, I might be open to that.”
We’re not sure how serious she is about being interested in Sage, but it wouldn’t be 100% shocking. He does seem to slightly favor her ex-boyfriend Jason Derulo.

Do you think Jordin and Sage would make a cute couple?

The Celebs Hit The INSURGENT NYC Premiere
The next installment of the Divergent trilogy, Insurgent, is upon us.  The movie, based on the best selling novels by Veronica Roth, premieres this Friday and  the stars from the film were front and center at the  premiere.

Zoe Kravitz kept it super cute in this flirty and sparkly strapless cocktail dress with an extra dramatic lace attachment.
She caught up with her co-star Octavia Spencer.
Octavia almost missed the big event as her flight into the city yesterday was cancelled.  But luckily, "Shameless" star Emmy Rossum -- who told the story this morning on "Live" -- was also on her flight.  Emmy gave up her seat on the next flight to Octavia so she could make it in time!
"Empire" star Jussie Smollett showed up on the carpet and got in a few cute pics with Octavia.
Looking good Jussie!
