BRAVO: See Sheryl Lee Ralph On Broadway As Madame Morrible In "WICKED”
Sheryl Lee Ralph is making waves on the Broadway scene. The Tony Award nominated actress has joined the case of the hit musical “WICKED” that kicked off this week at the Gershwin Theatre.
The former “Moesha” star will step into the role of Madame Morrible for a six-month residency in the role. This is huge deal that Sheryl was chosen to star in such a major role as folks nabbing roles of this caliber on The Great White Way isn't all that typical.
She joins Jennifer DiNoia as Elphaba, Carrie St. Louis as Glinda, Michael Campayno as Fiyero, Peter Scolari as The Wizard, Dawn E. Cantwell as Nessarose, Michael Genet as Dr. Dillamond and Zachary Noah Piser as Boq.
“WICKED” tells the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, long before Dorothy drops in, according to Playbill. Elphaba, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. Glinda is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. The remarkable odyssey of how these unexpected friends changed each other's lives for good has made “WICKED” one of the world's most popular musicals.
Sheryl is no stranger to Broadway though. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her role as Deena Jones in the original company of the award-winning musical Dreamgirls. She also originated the Muzzy Van Hossmere character in the Tony-winning musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” Outside of her “Moesha” role, her television credits include “Ray Donovan” and "Instant Mom."

Most recently, Sheryl wrapped filming the upcoming tv movie "Step Sisters" and "Villa Capri," starring opposite Morgan Freeman.

#RHoA: The Real Housewives of Atlanta Premiere Is All About Kenya Moore & Sheree Whitfield's Battle of the Baseboards!
Bravo's resident Southern belles are finally back for season nine and one thing is abundantly clear: We're in for the continued clash of the egos over Moore Manor and Chateau Sheree.

With Sheree Whitfield back full-time, tonight's premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta wasted no time making the OG's race against Kenya Moore to finally finish their long-gestating dream homes the focal point of the beginning of the season, at least. And while neither are done yet (and, to be fair, Sheree's been at this for much longer than Kenya), both women had no problem throwing shade the other's way. Especially when one chose to throw her housewarming party well before the work was finished.

But before we get into that, let's recap where each woman stand at the start of the season.

Kandi Burruss
Kandi and her hubby Todd Tucker are still basking in new parent bliss, with sweet little five-month-old Ace and his adorable smile. They're apparently also already potty-training him, which seems a little early, but who are we to judge? To each their own, right?

Phaedra Parks
Now that Apollo's firmly behind bars, Phaedra's gone and gotten herself a governess to help care for her two boys. Of course Phaedra can't just call it a nanny like everyone else. It's always something extra with this one. She also admits she won't date until her divorce is finalized, which is an issue because Apollo won't grant her one. It seems like when your husband proves himself to be a felon, this should be an easier process, no?

Porsha Williams
After her repeated instances of poor anger management, we get a glimpse of Porsha during a therapy session. She tells a sad tale about being bullied in middle school and reveals she once considered suicide. She tries to cry, but the tears never really come. The therapist seems pretty unimpressed.

Cynthia Bailey
Cynthia's serious about this split from Peter. She even visits her attorney who, when she declares her intention to file for divorce, asks, "You and Peter?" No, her and the other guy, genius. An awkward Facetime convo with Peter to ask about the whereabouts of their prenup pretty much makes her case. "Ask your mama where the prenup is," Peter says. "It's probably the same place the marriage license is." Please let this toxicity end sooner rather than later.

That, of course, leads up to Sheree and Kenya. After learning that Kenya has been living in Moore Manor despite only having a finished master bedroom and that Sheree's palatial digs only need furnishings and then they'll be ready for her, the former announced her plans to have a housewarming party in two weeks. Her contractor looked at her like she was nuts.

So, she began sending a creepy horse-drawn carriage around town to deliver invitations on purple plush pillows. Kenya, girl, when you're inviting people to come and eat some cheese in your dusty construction zone, a Facebook event invite will suffice.
Naturally, she didn't send one to Sheree. Why? "I would have gladly sent Sheree an invite by horse and carriage, but I don't know where she lives. It's not Chateau Sheree," she explained. I don't know if it's a tent in the woods or a cardboard box under the freeway, a halfway house. I don't know where to send it."
So, she called her friend and, while inviting her, also demanded she mind her manners at the manor. Sheree hung up on her mid-sentence.

The day of the party arrived and Kenya was hustling. "Nobody should throw any event when they're under this kind of stress," she said, as if someone was forcing her to hold this ill-advised event against her will or something.
As Sheree and Cynthia began complimenting their host for the work she'd accomplished, Kenya couldn't help herself and got a dig in. "It's been a long journey. I can't imagine what five years feels like," she said. Sheree, being the OG gangster that she is, wasn't just going to let that slide. "But this whole house is the same size of my, uh, master suite," she shot back.
Once Kandi and her friend Lena arrived, the ladies got the grand tour. Sheree was less than impressed. "Kenya's housewarming invite should've come with a hard hat, a dust mask, and a freaking fan," she said. "Most of the women there had titty sweat. The dogs had titty sweat too! That bitch living foul."

Of course, all titty sweat would be forgotten once Phaedra showed up with an uninvited Porsha. Sheree shimmied in excitement like Hillary Clinton at a presidential debate. Before Kenya could react, the episode ended. So nasty and so rude. To be continued.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Mary J. Blige has taken a moment to reflect in the music video for her No. 1 single “Thick of It,” off her forthcoming album Strength of a Woman.

Hip Hop: Listen To Rick Ross Remix Solange’s ‘Cranes In The Sky’
Following Common, Styles P, and KAYTRANADA, Rick Ross offers his take on Solange’s soulful “Cranes in the Sky” single off A Seat at the Table.
While Knowles’ song is about escapism, Renzel’s version indulges in sex and in wealth.
“Crib so big, cranes in the sky,” raps Rozay. “Standing on a stage, chains side to side / I fuck her on the back if she don’t wanna ride / Or bring another one, I like to dramatize.”

Speaking of the track, Solange performed “Cranes in the Sky” over the weekend during a show-stopping appearance on “SNL,” where she was joined backstage by Beyoncé, Jay Z, her mother Tina Lawson, and her son Julez.

Owiso Odera Dies: Kenyan Actor From ‘The Originals’ & ‘Dirt’ Was 43
Owiso Odera, a TV and stage actor who appeared in multiple episodes of such series as The Originals, Dirt and Three Rivers, collapsed and died onstage while rehearsing a play in Kentucky during the weekend. He was 43. His brother Peter confirmed his death to Kenyan newspaper The Standard.
The paper said he died during rehearsals for a new play called Measure Plus Dido and that first responders’ efforts to resuscitate Odera were not successful. The family did not confirm a cause of death.

‘Wonder Woman’: Gal Gadot Says She’d Like Halle Berry to Be the Love Interest in the Sequel
In recent days, Wonder Woman’s sexuality has become a heated topic of debate. Greg Rucka, a longtime writer on the comic book series, has shared that he feels she is bisexual. Gal Gadot, the actress, tapped for the big-screen role, told Variety that it’s not something they focused on in the first standalone film. But…if she was bisexual, Gadot knows who she’d like the heroine to fall for.
The 31-year-old, sat down for an interview on an Israeli talk show recently to discuss Wonder Woman’s love life and the topic of her possible bisexuality came up. When asked if there’s an actress she’d like to see the DC superhero get involved with, Gadot had a good answer locked and loaded.

“I saw her the other day, Halle Berry. She’s so beautiful. Wow! She’s gorgeous! So…yeah, I could do it with her,” Gadot stated in Hebrew.
Obviously, this is all speculation. But speculation is often how things get started in Hollywood.
If you speak Hebrew and want to check out the interview, head over to Batman News, which is also the source of the interview’s translation.

Wonder Woman arrives in theaters June 2, 2017.

Reginae Checks T.I. Over Instagram Letter and The Internets Tell Her 'Stay In her Place!'
Remember rapper T.I. publicly checking his long time friend Weezy on Instagram yesterday after that foolish Nightline interview.  Now, Wayne's daughter Reginae is hopping to his defense.
The 17-year-old (she turns 18 in a few weeks) slid into T.I.'s comments saying he could have texted all that to her dad, but TIP must have wanted some publicity:
Not everyone applauded her for hopping into the mix though.  Many started going in on her page and her mother Toya Wright's page saying she needs to stay in a child's place and "learn some manners."
Hmph…..What say Ye?

IT’S OFFICIAL! Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton for President!

IT’S OFFICIAL! #bernswithher Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton for President
Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, a move that may go a long way toward unifying Democrats as Clinton prepares to accept the nomination in Philadelphia later this month.
“Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make sure she will be the next president of the United States,” Sanders said at a rally in Portsmouth, N.H.
Clinton said that Sanders has “energized and inspired a generation of young people who care deeply about our country.”
Over the weekend, Sanders’ campaign expressed satisfaction with changes in the Democratic party platform over issues like climate change and a $15 federal minimum wage. Clinton also said that she would advocate expanding healthcare, including extending Medicare to those over 55 and pursuing a public insurance option.

“Hillary Clinton understands that we must fix an economy in America that is rigged and that sends almost all new wealth and income to the top one percent,” Sanders said at the rally, as Clinton stood to the side of him and nodded in agreement.
Sanders’ campaign, however, failed to get robust language in the draft platform opposing the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a key issue he brought up in the campaign. Clinton also opposed the trade deal, but it is part of President Obama’s agenda in the final year of his term.
Sanders acknowledged that “it is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues.
“But I am happy to tell you that at the Democratic Platform Committee which ended Sunday night in Orlando, there was a significant coming together between the two campaigns and we produced, by far, the most progressive platform in the history of the Democratic party.” He said that “our job now is to see that platform implemented by a Democratically controlled Senate, a Democratically controlled House and a Hillary Clinton presidency. And I intend to be in every corner of this country to make certain that happens.”
Clinton credited Sanders for his “lifetime of fighting injustice.” She and Sanders each criticized Republican rival Donald Trump, characterizing him as a divider.

Trump tweeted on Tuesday, “I am somewhat surprised that Bernie Sanders was not true to himself and his supporters. They are not happy that he is selling out!”

Maybe the Dems can unify now.

Folks,'Feel The Bern' is FOR REAL! Held a Large Rally in California!

FOLKS ‘FEEL THE BERN’ IS FOR REAL! Large Rally in California!
FOLKS DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST YOUR SCREEN! THESE FOLKS CAME OUT FOR BERNIE SANDERS IN SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA LAST NIGHT! 21,000 STRONG!

Despite the mainstream media’s repeated assertions that the Bernie Sanders movement is now a thing of the past, enthusiasm from his base only seems to be growing, based on the overwhelming number of people who flocked to his rally in Sacramento this Monday night.
Supporters lined up for over four hours to see Senator Sanders outside Bonney Field — some of them even longer. The following video by Our Voice Media shows the massive scope of the line, as the videographers take several minutes to drive from one end of the line to the other.
The hashtag #BernieInSacramento quickly exploded onto the top trends on Twitter, and yet the mainstream media once again chose to ignore the massive influx of support and unprecedented turnout. The only outlet that covered the rally was local Sacramento NBC affiliate KCRA-3.
Below is the only picture attached to the article, obviously taken before the rally as people were still entering the field:
Compare the above photo to these photos during the actual rally taken by supporters and uploaded to social media:
Of course, Bernie supporters are growing used to operating in a total media blackout. Spirits at the rally remained high, however, as attendees cheerfully destroyed the white male “Bernie Bro” stereotype by flooding social media with pictures of Bernie supporters of every race, gender, and age displaying their patriotism together.
“You got to fight to the end,” said Kathy Dennis, a member of the National Nurses Union, one of the largest and most passionate groups supporting Bernie Sanders. “And Bernie’s creating a bigger movement than just a nomination for the presidency. People are becoming active — feeling like maybe they can change the political climate of this country.”

The media’s strategy of ignoring the Sanders movement until it goes away is clearly failing miserably. Enthusiasm for Sanders was expected to dwindle as his prospects for the nomination became less encouraging, yet people are still showing up for Bernie by the tens of thousands wherever he goes.
Regardless of whether he secures the Democratic nomination, he has unquestionably sparked the passion of millions of Americans who will no longer give up on their values just because the two party system forces them to.

No matter the outcome, America will likely be feeling the Bern for years to come.

THE BERN WAS FELT INDIANA! BERNIE WINS THE INDIANA PRIMARY!

THE BERN WAS FELT INDIANA! BERNIE WINS!
Bernie Sanders handed Hillary Clinton an embarrassing defeat in Indiana on Tuesday night, re-energizing his campaign to take the fight all the way to this summer’s Democratic convention.
The Vermont senator cast the victory as a voter rebellion against a Clinton coronation.
“The Clinton campaign thinks this campaign is over,” Sanders said. “They’re wrong. Maybe it’s over for the insiders and the party establishment, but the voters in Indiana had a different idea.”
Sanders was handily beating Clinton, 52.5 percent to 47.5 percent, with 97 percent of the vote counted. She had led the polls going into Tuesday’s vote.

Still, with the state’s 83 delegates divided proportionally, Clinton will pick up a little less than half of them.
That now makes it mathematically impossible for Sanders to pick up the 983 delegates he needs to win the nomination outright, and any path forward will hinge on flipping the superdelegates who have already backed Clinton.
The former secretary of state is 182 delegates short of 2,383 becoming the first major-party female presidential candidate, leading Sanders in delegates, 2,201 to 1,399.
Nevertheless, Sanders said he’s confident he’ll win upcoming races in West Virginia, Oregon, New Jersey and Kentucky, showing the extent of Clinton’s weakness and the frustrations of some Democrats with her.

Sanders even called for another debate with Clinton.
“I sense a great deal of momentum. I sense some great victories coming,” he said.
Clinton largely ignored Indiana this week. She campaigned in West Virginia and Ohio Tuesday and passed on an election night party.
Her campaign issued a statement on Donald Trump’s win, rather than her loss.
“While Donald Trump seeks to bully and divide Americans, Hillary Clinton will unite us to create an economy that works for everyone,” Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, said.

Now it’s onto West Virginia!

The Daily Buzz For April 19

Drake, Ryan Reynolds And Harry Styles: GQ’s Most Stylish Men In The World!
With so many handsome hunks from which to choose, GQ has made the almost-impossible selection of the 2016 best-dressed dudes.

In the May 2016 Most Stylish Men in the World issue, the men’s publication singles out Drake, Tom Hardy, Ryan Reynolds and Harry Styles as the gents with the hottest threads.
GQ writes, “No disrespect to the Hall of Famers — from Kanye to Clooney, Gosling to Pharrell — but this year we’re feeling a different, right-this-second strain of pro-level style. We speak of men who look just as sharp on the street as they do on the red carpet. Who realize that, in the camera-phone age, every little walk to the corner can turn into a photo op. And who rarely bother with suits — but when they do, they really make it count.”

SADNESS: 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Doris Roberts dies at 90

Doris Roberts, who played the tart-tongued, endlessly meddling Marie Barone on "Everybody Loves Raymond," has died, a family spokeswoman said. She was 90.
Roberts died overnight in her sleep, spokeswoman Janet Daily said Monday. Daily was told of the death by Roberts' son, Michael Cannata.

The cause of death was not immediately known. Roberts had been healthy and active, Daily said.
Last month, Roberts appeared at an actors' union event that focused on the scarcity of female directors in entertainment. She asked the panel why there were so few roles for elder actors.
Roberts won four Emmy Awards for her work on "Raymond," receiving a total of seven nominations as best supporting actress for the sitcom.
Actor Ray Romano, who co-starred with Roberts on the CBS show, said in a statement Monday that she "had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped.

"Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a young, green comic trying to make it as an actor, she did it all with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly."
Actress Patricia Heaton, who portrayed Roberts' daughter-in-law, posted her remembrances on Twitter.

To my beloved Marie - RIP. pic.twitter.com/TtZCySQnLK

— Patricia Heaton (@PatriciaHeaton) April 18, 2016
"We loved our mom, the great #DorisRoberts. A wonderful, funny, indelible actress and friend," Phil Rosenthal, the show's producer, posted on his Twitter account.
The sitcom, which aired from 1996 to 2005, also starred Brad Garrett and Peter Boyle, who played Roberts' husband Frank Barone. Boyle died in 2006.
Comedian Denis Leary tweeted that Roberts "made me laugh so hard so many times. (hash)everybodylovesmarie."

Roberts also was known for her role in the 1980s TV detective series "Remington Steele." She appeared on stage and in a variety of movies, including "The Rose," "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three" and "Madea's Witness Protection."
But it was the hugely successful "Everybody Loves Raymond" that "put my career over the top," Roberts told The Associated Press as the show wrapped its run.
Roberts, then 79, fretted openly about what she would do next. "Who knows after this? Nobody writes for older people," she said.
Yet her list of TV and movie credits continued to grow, with projects from 2015, including the TV movie "Merry Kissmas," and others slated to be released this year.

Roberts was born Nov. 4, 1925, in St. Louis and grew up in New York, Daily said.
The actress began her stage career on Broadway in the 1950s, amassing credits that eventually included Neil Simon's "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" and Terrence McNally's "Bad Habits."

In early TV appearances, she was seen in episodes of "Studio One," "The Naked City" and "The Defenders."
Roberts received her first Emmy Award in 1983, for her supporting role on the series "St. Elsewhere." She received a total of 11 nominations for her TV work overall, including her bids for "Raymond."
An enthusiastic cook, Roberts co-wrote "Are You Hungry, Dear? Life, Laughs, and Lasagna," a memoir with recipes, in 2005.
Besides her son, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jane, and three grandchildren, Kelsey, Andrew, and Devon Cannata.

#RHOA: The Beyhive Drags Kenya Moore After She 'Shades' Singer With 'Distasteful' Post With The Rapper!
Beyonce might have shouted out Kenya Moore and her Bravo The Real Housewives of Atlanta taglines a couple of times, but that didn’t seem to matter to fans who came for the reality star.
It’s all because she shared a throwback photo of her and Beyonce’s husband, Jay Z, amid speculation that Beyonce and the rapper are splitting up. In the snapshot, Moore was sitting in a car with Jay Z on the set of the Money Ain’t A Thang video.
She wrote, “#TBT On set of #moneyaintathang with Jay-Z circa 1998 #happytoworkwithhim such a gentleman and talented rapper turned mogul #booked #ineedanewbentley #funtimes #setlife. Wish@beyonce was there #KenyaMoore #RHOA”
While Moore probably didn’t mean any harm, some of Beyonce fans couldn’t’ help but call her out for snuggling up to Jay Z, even if it was in a vintage photo.
“She was soooo messy for this…”
Some even accused Moore of throwing “shade” at Beyonce.

“Did she try to go after the queen??”
Another made it clear, “Bey couldn’t make it because she was too busy becoming Beyonce making millions at the tender age of 17 she wasn’t checking for Jay yet but that shade was so cute”
One fan pointed out that Jay Z “looks like [Moore] was getting on his nerves!!!”
One kept it simple with, “How dare she tag Bey!!!”

“Your new name is messy boots. Very distasteful,” one fan added.\
Another fan revealed that Moore actually changed her caption that originally read, “Keyonce & Jay-z”… they added, “As if she was insinuating something…”

#TEAMEMPIRE: Fox’s Midseason Return of ‘Empire’ Tops Broadcast Week in Demo: L+7 Ratings
Spring cap sap the ratings strength of just about any show, but Fox’s “Empire” looked very strong as it resumed its second season three weeks ago.

According to “live plus-7” estimates for the week of March 26-April 3, released Monday by Nielsen, “Empire” averaged a 6.5 rating in adults 18-49 — rising 35% from its same-day average (4.8) to finish 1 full point ahead of broadcast runner-up “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS (5.5) and nearly 3 points ahead of the next closest broadcast drama, ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” (3.7). AMC’s “The Walking Dead” ruled the week overall with a 9.6 in the demo.

The 6.5 rating was about on par with “Empire’s” fall finale on Dec. 2 (6.6). And in 7-day multi-platform overall audience, the midseason return (18.5 million) slightly outdrew its 2015 closer (18.4 million); this figure includes 16.7 million linear viewers and about 1.8 million via 7-day streaming on Hulu and Fox Now.
The Individualists celebrates the art of storytelling in a series of portraits and short films. Personal anecdotes from independent leaders in film explore individuality and its affect on their lives.

For the season, “Empire” leads all broadcast entertainment series in L+7 adults 18-49 rating (7.2). Its multi-platform average audience is 22.7 million, or 80% more than its same-day total (12.6 million).

In other L+7 highlights for the week of March 26-April 3, the season finale of “The Walking Dead” (9.6) was 14% lower than its year-ago closer (11.1); CBS’ “Supergirl” (2.5) shot up 25% week to week with its “The Flash”-crossover storyline; ABC’s “The Catch” (1.8) retained 90% of its previous week’s premiere rating (2.0); and NBC’s “Shades of Blue” (2.0) ended its run in line with its most recent performances, finishing with an average 64% higher than “The Player” in the same timeslot (2.3 vs. 1.4).

FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” saw the biggest percentage spike of the week in L+7, rising 164% from its same-day average (2.9 vs. 1.1). Jumping nearly as much was AMC’s “Better Call Saul” (up 150%, 0.8 to 2.0).

Chris Brown Shares ‘Welcome To My Life’ Documentary Trailer
Chris Brown hasn’t been in many people’s good graces lately due to his questionable social media activity, but the R&B superstar plans to get candid with his loyal fans and followers through the release of his official documentary “Welcome To My Life.”

Giving us an early glimpse at the film, with a nearly three-minute trailer, Breezy reflects on his quick rise to stardom and the fallout he faced after his assault on Rihanna.

The doc, directed by Andrew Sandler and produced by Riveting Entertainment, is comprised of old and new interviews and commentary from Brown’s friends and family including his mother Joyce Hawkins, Jamie Foxx, Usher, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, and Mary J. Blige.
In addition to highlighting his success, it delves into darker times in his life, including his tumultuous relationship with Rihanna (“It was like a fairytale”), which led to drug use and even suicidal thoughts (“I was thinking about suicide and everything else”).
“I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kinda like America’s sweetheart to being public enemy No. 1,” says Brown.

HIPHOPNEWS: Trick Daddy Joins "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" Cast
Trick Daddy to star in the latest addition to the Love & Hip Hop franchise.
According to Miami rapper Trick Daddy, he plans on adding a nice dose of realness to reality TV, as one of the stars of Love & Hip Hop: Miami. The musician shared the news with Bossip over the weekend.
With reality television notoriously known to showcase some of its stars in an unfavorable light, Trick revealed that he won't be made a fool of on the show.

“I just met with Mona last week and we’re trying to do this thing right,” Trick Daddy said while speaking with Bossip. “Put some real Miami bitches and real Miami niggas on the show...One thing I won’t do is make a fool of myself. If we gone make a fool of somebody it won’t be me, so it’ll be interesting.”
Trick Daddy, who recently filed for bankruptcy, says a portion of his storyline for Love & Hip Hop: Miami will focus on him managing two of his artists, Premadonna and Mike Smith.
“It’s all gonna come out on the show. We’re just trying to do what we do, do what I do,” the rapper said.

Trick Daddy will reportedly start filming for the show in May. There is no word yet on when Love & Hip Hop: Miami will air.

UGH! Father Charged In Fatal Shooting Of 4-Year-Old Girl
PHILADELPHIA (AP)  The Latest on the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old Philadelphia girl (all times local):
8:50 p.m.
Philadelphia police have charged a man in the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old girl.
Investigators say Maurice Phillips turned himself in Saturday night, and admitted he was responsible for the young girl’s death.
Phillips, who is either the girl’s father or stepfather, is charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say the girl was shot in the face Saturday afternoon at a home in the city’s Kensington neighborhood. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators initially said the girl was shot by her 5-year-old sibling and they were searching for the child’s father or stepfather, who was believed to have owned the gun.
Phillips later told police that it was an accident, and the 5-year-old sibling had nothing to do with it.

Police say the parent of a 4-year-old girl killed in Philadelphia has confessed to accidentally shooting her.
Authorities originally believed the child was shot by her young brother.
Investigators said the girl was shot in the face by her father or stepfather in a home in the Kensington neighborhood shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police previously said the girl was shot by her 5-year-old sibling and were searching for the child’s father or stepfather, who was believed to have owned the gun used.
But Sgt. Eric Gripp said Sunday the man turned himself in Saturday night and ultimately admitted to shooting the victim.
Gripp said the parent “stated that the sibling had nothing to do with it.” His identity has not been released.

Meet Big Tigger’s New Girl! He Has Moved On From Now Married Ex Keisha Knight Pulliam To A Certain Rapper’s Ex!
For “RHOA” star Peter Thomas’ new nightclub opening of Club One in Charlotte, a few of his Atlanta friends flew into North Carolina to support. One of those friends was V103 host Big Tigger. And look who he brought as his date:
Nope, not Todd Tucker. He had Jamaican beauty queen Rebecca Silvera on his arm. You may recognize her from VH1’s “You Got Game” as the one who won rapper The Game’s heart. At least she did on the show. They seemingly got it in at a hotel one night on the show, a few episodes later he chose her as the winner, and they were “broken up” pretty much before the show even aired.
But it looks like Rebecca has rebounded, and so has Tigger after his break up with his now married ex Keshia (Knight Pulliam) Hartwell.

We’re told they arrived together, left together and are definitely a couple….LOL!

Broadway’s Hamilton Wins 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama
*“Hamilton,” Broadway’s sold-out hip-hop history lesson on Alexander Hamilton, has just nabbed the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Per Variety:
The Pulitzer win could be the first of many victories for “Hamilton.” Much of the theater industry considers the show’s sweep of the Tony Awards as a foregone conclusion.
“The Humans,” Stephen Karam’s subtly drawn portrait of one American family’s anxieties, was one of the few obvious titles that seemed likely to give “Hamilton” a little competition; that play was named a 2016 finalist, as was Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ “Gloria.”
“Hamilton’s” victory came during the centennial year for the Pulitzers, which recognize excellence in the arts and in journalism.

Congrats to them!

JACKSON BABY WATCH: Jackson Family Insider Reveals Janet And Wissam Al-Mana Are Planning First Baby Via Surrogate Or Adoption?
Ever since Janet Jackson announced she was postponing her tour to plan a family fans have been wondering how she would be able to have a baby, considering she’s 49 already. Now a source close to her claims she won’t actually be carrying the child.

According to RadarOnline reports:
A source close to the Jackson family told RadarOnline.com exclusively that fans have nothing to fear. In fact, they have something to celebrate! According to a source, Jackson, 49, is getting ready to become a mom.
“Janet has put her fans first her whole life. They are her world and, of course, she is devastated that she had to postpone the tour for another year,” the insider said.

“But Janet’s health crisis this year really made her much more aware of her age,” the source told Radar. “She is approaching 50 and at this stage of her life all that she wants is to become a mother.”
According to the Jackson family insider, “Janet postponed her tour because she is going to be adopting a child or using a surrogate to have a baby in the next couple of months,” with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana.

“She is devoted to her husband and has decided to put his needs before her own needs right now,” the source added. “He really wants to start a family with her.”

We’re glad to hear that Janet and Wissam may at least attempt to have a biological child, but we welcome a new addition to the family how ever they’re able to make it happen. This is a great time in Ms. Jackson’s life and we are soon happy for her!
