Kendrick Lamar is having an amazing year thus far. His highly anticpated sophomore album To Pimp A Butterfly landed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album sales chart and stayed there for two weeks in a row. He was recently awarded the "Generational Icon Award" by the state of California and he recently got engaged to his high school sweetheart Whitney Alford. Life is good for the west coast rapper and it’s only getting better.
The Grammy-winning recording artist has landed the cover of EBONY magazine’s June 2015 issue. And it’s a special edition issue, celebrating Black Millennial Music. And who better to have on the cover than the TDE honcho.
On Friday, Kendrick took to his Twitter to release the cover himself. Once his cover story is released, we will definitely bring it to you. Other artists being celebrated in the issue include Janelle Monae, Vic Mensa, Tink, FKA Twigs and more. You'll be able to get your hands on a physical copy once it hits stands next month.
Kandi Burruss Reveals Why She Didn’t Console NeNe At The RHOA Reunion
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is speaking out about the season 7 reunion and NeNe Leakes’ emotional breakthrough. Burruss is explaining why she wasn’t there to comfort Leakes when the conversation turned to NeNe’s estranged mother.
“Overall, Nene and I have been arguing that whole day and I am not the person that she would have wanted to console her,” Kandi tells The Post. “And secondly, if the shoe was on the other foot, she would not have come to console me.” “If I got up to console Nene, I would be fake. So I just chose to be real with myself,” she added. “I did not know what she was crying about so I was not going to jump up to her rescue.”
Now that RHOA is over, you can watch Kandi and her family on Kandi’s Ski Trip on Bravo, a show that Burruss says is very different from Housewives. “I am born and raised in Atlanta and I am very country and I have a definite accent, but when I get around my family, it gets worse!” she shared. “So I laughed so hard at points watching because it reminds me of the black Beverly Hillbillies.”
Mariah Carey VS The HELP! In a LAWSUIT!
Mariah Carey is firing back at her former nanny – who sued her claiming she was fired for showing too much affection to the her kids – accusing the ex-employee of lying and only filing the lawsuit to harass her.
A woman named Simonette DaCosta filed a federal lawsuit against Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon earlier this year. DaCosta – who was the couples former full-time Nanny for their 2 kids – claimed she was fired for being too affectionate to the twins.
The woman explained that she worked for Mariah and Nick since the kids were infants and would feed, bath and comfort them. She said Mariah wasn’t pleased when she would show the twins affection and often would berate her for doing so.
DaCosta claimed she was overworked – sometimes putting in over 100 hours a week – without ever being paid overtime. She sued demanding the unpaid overtime hours and damages for Mariah’s violation of the labor laws.
Then on May 19th, Mariah fired back at her former employee claiming the woman did work for her from October 2013 to February 2014. The pop star says the woman did live with her while taking care of the kids but she was never NOT paid for her services.
Mariah also says the ex-nanny is lying about her terminating her due to showing too much affection to her children.
Further, the singer blasts the idea that she violated labor laws and explains that the woman was paid for every hour she worked. Mariah also says that DaCosta was a live-in domestic service worker and was paid under those guidelines.
Mariah also accuses her former employee of filing the lawsuit in bad faith and only in an attempt to harass her, claiming the allegations are frivolous and groundless. She is demanding the lawsuit be dismissed and her ex-nanny be awarded NOTHING.

Never afraid to post too many photographs, Kim Kardashian shared a series of snapshots from her wedding to Kanye West in honor of their first anniversary.
On May 24th, 2014 the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” starlet married the “Love Lockdown” rapper in Florence, Italy and it seems they have a whole slew of images that are yet-to-be-released.
Thankfully, Kim uploaded the treasure trove of photographs on Sunday (May 24) alont with messages like, “I love this man so much! Happy Anniversary baby!” “Forever,” “Sexy” and “Love.”
OH SO TYSON STRIKES BACK AT CHRIS BROWN! Tyson Beckford Invites Chris Brown To Party, Then Posts Gun Range Pic and calls Las Vegas PD on Chris!
Over the weekend, a social media battle broke out between Chris Brown and Tyson Beckford after a pic of Tyson and Chris's ex-Karrueche Tran was spotted online. You'll recall that Chris cheated on Karrueche (at least twice that we know of) and even had a baby with another chick, but he still got caught up in his feelings. Thankfully, Chris and Tyson avoided each other but Chris did throw a parting shot on Instagram. He claims Tyson had the Las Vegas PD on alert, calling him a "Suckah".
Hmm, you'll recall that Chris pals around with gangbangers so we're not mad at Tyson for protecting himself. But we're happy to report no one has been hurt or arrested.

Stevie J accuses Joseline Hernandez of CHEATING?
Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez have always had a roller-coaster ride of a relationship, especially in the past year with Stevie’s massive child support debt and his battles with drug addiction. But now it appears, once again, that their relationship is about to go flying off the rails because Stevie recently accused Hernandez of cheating.
Stevie first began tweeting suspicious messages about his turbulent life on Saturday, when he complained about wasting his time on other people.
Afterwards, Stevie then made the not-so-shocking accusation that Hernandez cheated on him.
Well, this definitely isn’t good for their relationship, but considering how often these two get back together after a rough patch, we wouldn’t put it past them to just get back together again, at least if only for the cameras.

50 Cent Sues Rick Ross Over Baby Mother’s Sex Tape
And let the finger pointing begin. 50 Cent is now suing Rick Ross over the sex tape that was released of Ross’ baby mama, Lastonia Leviston.
TMZ first broke the story, Leviston filed a lawsuit against 50 claiming that the New York rapper was the one who exposed her sex tape with an unknown man. But in a new suit filed by Fiddy, it was Ross who first posted the visual that went viral. According to Curtis Jackson, the rapper’s legal name, he simply linked to the clip.
In the documents, Fiddy states that Da Boss did an interview with a radio station just one day before the tape leaked and hinted that he was going to put the visual online. Hence, he is the one to blame.
So what exactly is 50 looking for? If Leviston, who claims she “contemplated suicide” after the tape’s release, is victorious over the 39-year-old, Fiddy is asking Ross “cover most of the judgement.”

Bears Cut Ray McDonald Following Latest Domestic Violence Arrest
The Chicago Bears cut defensive lineman Ray McDonald following Monday’s arrest on domestic violence and child endangerment charges.
This is the same Ray McDonald who was cut by the San Francisco 49ers in December for an alleged sexual assault.
According to The Santa Clara Police Department, McDonald “physically assaulted” his ex-fiancee who was holding a baby. McDoanld was arrested in December 2014 for sexually assaulting the same woman who was pregnant at the time.
McDonald left the location where the incident occurred and was arrested at an address owned by former 49ers teammate Justin Smith, per Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.
McDonald has a son who was born in March. The 30-year-old was was previously arrested for domestic violence in August 2014 against his ex-fiancee, who was pregnant at the time, but no charges were filed.
The woman involved filed a lawsuit in May against both McDonald and 49ers outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks, while McDonald filed a defamation lawsuit in response.
Chicago signed McDonald to a one-year deal in March and have not yet issued a response to the report of the arrest.
Usually teammates are saddened to see a popular player go, but not in McDonald’s case.
Bears guard Kyle Long tweeted “Good riddance,” a sentiment likely shared by the entire defensive line.

Michael B. Jordan Responds To Backlash Over Human Torch Character
There are some fans who are not happy with Michael B. Jordan playing The Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Mainly because comic book fanatics nitpick over one little detail, The Human Torch wasn't black. Well, after receiving so much backlash from the super-fans, Michael B. Jordan has decided to speak up in an essay he penned for EW.

"You’re not supposed to go on the Internet when you’re cast as a superhero. But after taking on Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four—a character originally written with blond hair and blue eyes—I wanted to check the pulse out there. I didn’t want to be ignorant about what people were saying. Turns out this is what they were saying: “A black guy? I don’t like it. They must be doing it because Obama’s president” and “It’s not true to the comic.” Or even, “They’ve destroyed it!”
It used to bother me, but it doesn’t anymore. I can see everybody’s perspective, and I know I can’t ask the audience to forget 50 years of comic books. But the world is a little more diverse in 2015 than when the Fantastic Four comic first came out in 1961. Plus, if Stan Lee writes an email to my director saying, “You’re good. I’m okay with this,” who am I to go against that?
Some people may look at my casting as political correctness or an attempt to meet a racial quota, or as part of the year of “Black Film.” Or they could look at it as a creative choice by the director, Josh Trank, who is in an interracial relationship himself—a reflection of what a modern family looks like today.
This is a family movie about four friends—two of whom are myself and Kate Mara as my adopted sister—who are brought together by a series of unfortunate events to create unity and a team. That’s the message of the movie, if people can just allow themselves to see it.
Sometimes you have to be the person who stands up and says, “I’ll be the one to shoulder all this hate. I’ll take the brunt for the next couple of generations.” I put that responsibility on myself. People are always going to see each other in terms of race, but maybe in the future we won’t talk about it as much. Maybe, if I set an example, Hollywood will start considering more people of color in other prominent roles, and maybe we can reach the people who are stuck in the mindset that “it has to be true to the comic book.” Or maybe we have to reach past them.
To the trolls on the Internet, I want to say: Get your head out of the computer. Go outside and walk around. Look at the people walking next to you. Look at your friends’ friends and who they’re interacting with. And just understand this is the world we live in. It’s okay to like it."
Seriously, I'll never understand the obsession people have with preserving "authenticity" of fictional characters. They're fictional.
50-Year-Old Man Arrested for Lewd Act in Boston Subway
Boston police have arrested a man who is seen in a viral photo performing a lewd sex act with an unidentified woman on a subway platform.
Philip Urban, 50, was identified as the man in the appalling photo. Urban was arrested last night by the Special Crimes Unit, the Boston Globe reports.
Bostonians were outraged when this photo of the illicit act went viral last Friday (May 15).
The photo shows a thirsty female performing fellatio on a man on the T platform at the State Street station Boston subway platform.
A concerned subway rider snapped the photo and attached it to a terse note to the MTBA demanding better security patrols.
“Dear MBTA, I understand you are having financial problems and it is difficult to maintain a broken system, however my tax dollars should be going to pay your police force because I shouldn’t have to stand next to a man receiving oral sex,” wrote the irate passenger.
Transit police Lt. Richard Sullivan was not pleased with the nationwide attention the photo brought to the Metro.
“In my 20 years on the job I’ve very rarely encountered something as brazen as this,” he said. “In my opinion they could care less who happened by. More importantly, what if a young child came by?”
“We received some tips, but we put a lot of time into reviewing images from our public safety cameras, and we were able to track him to Malden,” Lt. Sullivan told the Boston Globe. “Conduct like that is not going to be tolerated.”
If convicted, Urban faces 3 years in prison, a $300 fine and he might be required to register as a sex offender.
Police are still searching for the woman in the photo.
