#RHOA: Andy Cohen Promises a "Superb" New Cast for Season 16 of 'RHOA'!
Andy Cohen hasn't let the departure of Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives of Atlanta stop him. On a recent episode of Cohen's Sirius XM show Radio Andy, Cohen talked to his co-host John Hill about the upcoming casting announcements for Season 16 that fans have been waiting for. Kenya Moore has teased recently that they were working on a great cast for the next season of the show to try and get fans back into the world of the reality show. And now Cohen has echoed her statements by getting his audience excited for what is to come.

“I do want to say I’m not announcing anything, but we are on it and the casting is superb,” Cohen said on the show, teasing audiences. He went on to say that even though the show was losing Burruss, it has freed them up to make some other changes work to the line-up.“By the way, now that we know Kandi is leaving, that also allows us to put other puzzle pieces together and figure out, ‘Okay, well, you know, where do we go here?'”

He didn't deny though that Burruss leaving was a knock to the casting, saying, “And she’s a big loss, but I think, you know, it allows us to figure out the future and I guess this is me just saying I’m very excited about the casting that we have. Very.” With rumors that Moore and potentially Porsha Williams will be making their return, it does set up a lot of questions for fans about who we could see holding a peach come next season.

The recent season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta did not make fans happy with the franchise and rumors of a complete cast wipe, as was done with shows like The Real Housewives of New York, were looming over the series. With a cast that fans couldn't connect with, the ratings were down and it was not the talk of the Bravo world as it had previously been. Fans even wondered if housewives like Kim Zolciak-Biermann - or her former friend then enemy NeNe Leakes would return to the show to help drive ratings.

Bad storylines and unhealthy alliances forced 'RHOA' to re-cast. Is 'RHOP' now on the same road as the Peach State?
Rumors of a major cast shake-up have run rampant for the past four seasons. With Cohen's confirmation, it'll be interesting to see if it'll be a mashup of all OGs, or a mix of old and new Housewives. The reported initial plan was to bring back a few cast members from last season, as well as booming socialites in Atlanta.

#HipHopNews: Latto's "Sunday Service" Cover Art Features Ice Spice, Sexyy Red, Megan Thee Stallion, And More
Latto’s upcoming single “Sunday Service” sparked widespread speculation after she shared the provocative cover art on Monday (Feb. 5) evening. It featured the Atlanta native standing before a collage of past and present female rappers, including Ice Spice, Missy Elliott, Coi Leray, Lil’ Kim, KARRAHBOOO, and Sexxy Red, all with their eyes obscured by a thick line.
Megan Thee Stallion, Saucy Santana, and the late Gangsta Boo were among the other familiar faces. The creative direction choice fueled rumors of an ongoing feud between Latto and Ice, especially since she’s prominently placed in the top left corner.

Tension escalated last week when Ice revealed that her latest track, “Think U The S**t (Fart),” was a response to noticing her “Pretty Girls” video in the background of one of Latto’s TikToks. During a Twitter Spaces session, she said, “Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak a** snippet? I was like, ‘Wait a second, that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me.’ It was really just a snippet.”

Adding to the alleged beef, Latto recently filmed the music video for “Sunday Service” in the Bronx, where Ice is from. In a teaser shared on social media, she rapped, “You ain’t my daddy, b**ch, I’m big momma/ Every time y’all put me with them h**s, it’s gon’ be big drama/ 20 black Suburbans, we pull up like Sunday Service/ I just want a one on one, don’t know why she so nervous/ F**k what these h**s said ’cause my n**gas say I’m perfect.”

Ice is preparing to release her debut album later this year. She announced the title, Y2K, last Tuesday (Jan. 30). It pays homage to her birthday on Jan. 1, 2000, which also marked the start of the new millennium. Meanwhile, Latto teamed up with Jennifer Lopez for “Can’t Get Enough” in January.

Travis Kelce Wants No Parts In White People Thinking He Started The Fade

Travis Kelce says he wants no part in white people thinking he created the fade.
Kelce was interviewed by Vegas Sports Today ahead of the Super Bowl on Tuesday (Feb. 6). A reporter asked him about The New York Times report that the Kansas City Chiefs star “revolutionized” the fade haircut. The tight end thought the ordeal was “ridiculous”, insisting that he doesn’t want to take any credit in starting or trailblazing the popular Black haircut.

“That’s absolutely ridiculous,” he said with a smile, laughing off the Times‘ story. “And to do it on February 1st and throw me to the wolves like that, that’s messed up, man. I don’t want anything to do with that, man. I got a good fade, though, if you need it. I get a No. 2 on top with a high to mid fade with a taper in the back. But I didn’t invent that. I just asked for it.”

Kelce previously addressed the idea that he somehow Christopher Columbused an already known haircut. During a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson‘s Nightcap, the former athletes talked about white America naming the haircut after the player.
“Ocho, I’ve been getting a fade since ’86,” Sharpe said. “Wait, he don’t have a fade, he got a buzz cut. Like when you go to the Army bro, how bro,” Johnson responded. Shannon then aimed his criticism at the NYT. He called out the publication for “doing this during Black History Month.” “So, New York Times, so that’s how you start Black History? Giving Trav — and that’s my nephew — you gonna give him credit for the fade? We’ve been seeing the fade for years!”

Travis caught wind of the video and stated that he wasn’t the creator of the timeless cut. He also called the headlines “wild” and said that the haircut was something that existed before he did. “These headlines are wild,” Kelce wrote. “The fade has been around long before my life even began.”

Madonna Reveals Additional Date For 'Last And Final Show' Of 'Celebration World Tour'
Madonna has treated her devotees to an additional date for her "Celebration World Tour". A few months before concluding the tour, the "Material Girl" hitmaker announced when "the last and final show" will be held.
On Tuesday, February 6, the 65-year-old Queen of Pop made use of her Instagram account to reveal the date. In the caption of her new post, she wrote, "The Last and final show is being added to the Celebration Tour !!!! It's going to be on April 9th in Miami!"

Madonna went on to exclaim, "Can you Handle the Heat! [a slew of flame emojis]!" She further shared details of the concert tickets, "Fan club presale starts Wednesday at 11 AM EST . General sale is on Friday at 10am EST. See you There!" adding a heart emoji.
In the same post, the "Like a Prayer" songstress uploaded a video from one of her concerts during the tour. The clip documented highlights from the show, including the singer seductively dancing while sitting on a chair with a backup dancer standing behind her.

After making the announcement, Madonna was showered with praise by many social media users. In the comments section, one in particular gushed, "It's amazing how Madonna been in the industry for over 40 years and still selling out stadiums." Similarly, another joined in, "The greatest show on earth." A third marveled, "I needed to see this twice. It is that good."

In the meantime, another asked, "Are we going to have the second leg of the tour?" On the other hand, other Instagram users demanded the singer to take the stage in other countries, including Brazil and Argentina.
Madonna kicked off the "Celebration World Tour" at the O2 in London in October 2023. After making stops in several cities in Europe and North America, the "Papa Don't Preach" singer is set to conclude the tour at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City on April 26.

Drake Laughs Off His Alleged NSFW Video That Leaks On Social Media

Drake couldn't care less about becoming a trending topic on X for an inappropriate reason. The "Her Loss" artist reportedly laughed off his alleged NSFW video that leaked on the platform.
In the clip, a man who appeared to be the 37-year-old rapper was seen undressing from the bottom down and started playing with himself while sitting on a bed. The headboard of the leaked video seemed to match the one that the Canadian star has on his $220 million private jet.

However, Drake made light of the debacle when asked about it by famous streamer Adin Ross. In a voice memo sent to the emcee, Adin said, "I'm still Live, bro. We was just looking at the s**t. It's like crazy bro, like God damn."
"You're blessed with your voice, you're blessed with performing, you're blessed to be you, you're blessed to be number one and you're also blessed to have a f**king missile," Adin continued. The 23-year-old then divulged that Drake replied and "put like eight laughing emojis." He also suggested Drizzy might use his voice note as his "next album intro."

This arrived just days after Drake came under fire for seemingly throwing shade at Rihanna. On Sunday, February 4, one X user let out a video featuring his alleged shade at RiRi. In a tweet, the user penned, "Drake says he no longer sings his work collaboration with rihanna anymore, thoughts??"
The social media post led other X users to candidly voice their opinions on the matter. In the replies section of the tweet, one of them blasted the rapper, "He is such a drama queen." Another asked, "Why is Drake always fighting with women," adding a slew of crying faces emojis.

The footage itself documented Drake taking the stage at a venue in Tampa, Florida for "It's All a Blur Tour - Big as the What?" on Friday night, February 2. In the clip, he could be heard saying, "I don't sing this song anymore, but you [all] can sing it for me," when he heard his collaborative song "Work" with Rihanna playing in the background.

WNBA’s Brittney Griner to Release ‘Coming Home’ Memoir

Brittney Griner is gearing up to tell her story in the upcoming memoir Coming Home. “COMING HOME is a story of hope and survival, of before and after. Before, on my way to Russia, a place I’ve called my second home, I was excited to win another title,” Griner, 33, captioned her Instagram post on Tuesday, February 6, announcing the book. “For eight seasons I played there, won there, and lived there for long stretches. A short time later and a world away, I woke up in an after I’d wish on no one.”

Griner called the book a “diary of my heartaches and regrets,” explaining that it “begins in a land where my roots developed.”
The WNBA star concluded: “But, ultimately, the book is also a story of how my family, my faith, and the support of millions who rallied for my rescue helped me endure a nightmare.”

Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport in February 2022 while playing for the UMMC Ekaterinburg during the WNBA offseason. Russian authorities claimed that Griner had hashish oil in her bag, leading to the arrest. News of the incident did not go public until weeks later. (Griner has been playing for the Phoenix Mercury since 2013.)

The United States State Department stated in May 2022 that Griner had been “wrongfully detained” after officials were initially hesitant to engage because of Russia’s ongoing war with Ukraine. After changing course, the U.S. started negotiating for her release, however, Griner’s detention was extended until June 2022. It was later extended a second time to July of that year.

“I’d like to plead guilty, your honor,” the WNBA player told the judge. “But there was no intent. I didn’t want to break the law.”
A Russian court eventually found Griner guilty of drug smuggling with criminal intent August 2022. She was sentenced to nine years in prison and was fined 1 million rubles ($16,400). Negotiations for a prison swap between the United States and Russian government were held until after Griner’s sentencing. Griner’s lawyer filed an appeal in August 2022, and it was denied in October of that same year. By November 2022, Griner was moved to a Russian penal colony.

Colorado city awards Black family $1.9 million after police mistook them as car thieves
NBC News reported that the city of Aurora, Colorado provided a Black family with a $1.9 million settlement after a traumatic run-in with police in August 2020.
As previously reported, 29-year-old Brittney Gilliam was enjoying an outing with her 12-year-old sister, 6-year-old daughter, and two nieces, 17 and 14, when they were accosted by authorities in a nail salon parking lot. They were ordered to step out of their vehicle at gunpoint and two of the girls were subsequently handcuffed with their faces on the pavement. The 6-year-old was forced to put her hands above her head because the handcuffs were too big. Gilliam’s family was held for two hours until a sergeant arrived on the scene — all of this occurring as witnesses filmed the encounter.

During the post-incident investigation, the Aurora Police Department claimed that officers thought that Gilliam had stolen the car because it shared the license plate of a stolen motorcycle. It was later revealed that the motorcycle in question had plates from an entirely different state.

“Aurora cops need to spend less time on the gun range and more time in the law library,” said the family’s attorney, David Lane, in a statement shared by NBC News. “Our hope is that police officers all over the country learn that law enforcement needs to use common sense, especially when dealing with children. A robocop mentality will lead to huge liability.”

He continued, “We believe that inexcusable racial profiling was involved in this case as well. When the race of the occupants of a vehicle causes guns to be drawn, a line has been crossed which will result in huge consequences for the police.”
City spokesperson Michael Brannen commented, “The Aurora Police Department remains committed to strengthening the relationship with the community through accountability and continuously improving how it serves the public.”

Kelly Rowland Reacts to Jay-Z Calling Out Grammys Over Beyoncé Album of the Years Snubs

Kelly Rowland will always have Jay-Z‘s back.During the 2024 Grammys over the weekend, the 54-year-old rapper was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. In his acceptance speech, criticized the Recording Academy for never giving wife Beyoncé the Album of the Year award.

“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics that doesn’t work,” Jay said. “Think about that. The most Grammys. Never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”

While attending the Bob Marley: One Love premiere on Tuesday (Feb. 6), Kelly, 42, reacted to Jay‘s comments.
“Shawn Carter is one of the greatest men I know and his words ring so loud to me,” Kelly told Entertainment Tonight with a smile. “I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
She added, “I’m just really happy for a lot of things that he said. I think that he made a lot of artists feel very seen and very heard in those minutes that he took on stage.”

Kelly then admitted that she finds it hard to believe Beyoncé, also 42, still hasn’t won Album of the Year at the Grammys.
“I feel like she is an icon… and that’s for a reason — it’s because she starts trends. She is innovative, her thoughts are big and bright and she just jumps for them and does it,” Kelly raved about her longtime friend. “I think that her albums are a reflection of that, and it should be really celebrated in that way.”
“I’m not saying that because it’s my sister, I’m saying it because it’s the truth,” Kelly continued. “I’ve seen the blood, sweat and tears that she puts into these projects, and her thoughts and her heart and her passion and her soul.”

Jonathan Majors Domestic Violence Sentencing Delayed, Actor Could Face Prison Time

There’s been an update in Jonathan Majors‘ domestic violence case. The 34-year-old was found guilty of third degree assault and guilty of harassment back in December, following a trial.
The case was brought on by ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari after he was arrested for a domestic dispute in March 2023.
Jonathan‘s sentencing was supposed to be revealed during a hearing on Tuesday, February 6th, but the defense “filed a not-unexpected motion to set aside the verdict,” Deadline reports.

The DA office has until March 5th to respond to the filing, while the judge has set an April 1st date to make a ruling on the defense motion.
Back in January, Jonathan took part in his first interview since the trial and opened up about the guilty verdict.

The actor’s sentencing has now been set for April 8th. Potential outcomes range from probation to a year in jail for a first time offender in a misdemeanor case.

Case Dismissed Against Mississippi Youngster Arrested for Urinating in Public: Family Attorney!

A Mississippi judge has dismissed the case against a child (Quantavious Eason) who was arrested in August for public urination, according to an attorney for the child’s family.
Tate County Youth Court Judge Rusty Harlow dismissed the case against young Eason, now 11, who was arrested for urinating in a Senatobia parking lot, family attorney Carlos Moore said Monday.

Quantavious was arrested and transported to the Senatobia Police Department after he relieved himself on private property near his mother’s vehicle, because signs said there were no public restrooms, CNN previously reported.
The boy’s mother, LaTonya Eason, said at a news conference in September an officer who was driving by spotted her son, stopped and went inside the business to look for her. Eason said she admonished her son – who was then 10 years old – for his behavior and the officer seemed satisfied.

Then, other officers arrived, including a lieutenant, Eason said, and her son was arrested. Eason asked for an apology and the firing of several officers involved in the incident.

Quantavious was sentenced to three months’ probation and assigned a two-page book report on the late NBA player Kobe Bryant during a December youth court hearing, Moore told CNN at the time. Eason was not declared delinquent or in need of supervision and was non-adjudicated, Moore said.
Days later, Moore responded, saying the boy’s family refused to sign the probation agreement. “We cannot in good conscience accept a probation agreement that treats a 10-year-old child as a criminal. The terms proposed are not in the best interest of our client, and we will take all necessary steps to challenge them,” Moore said in a statement at the time.

The same day, the attorney filed a motion to have the case dismissed, stating it “should be dismissed in its entirety because the arresting officer has been terminated for executing an improper arrest on the minor.
The filing also noted that Eason was 10, with no criminal record and with the “mental culpability” of a child that age.
The officer involved with the August incident was terminated about 10 days after Eason’s arrest. The Senatobia Police Department did not release the officer’s name.

“The officer’s decisions violated our written policy and went against our prior training on how to deal with these situations,” an August statement from the Senatobia police chief said. The other officers would be disciplined, it added.
Senatobia is in northern Mississippi, less than 30 miles south of the Tennessee state line.

Keanu Reeves Honored with Lance Reddick Legacy Award!
*Keanu Reeves was honored with the inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award on Sunday at the 51st Saturn Awards.
Reeves and Reddick starred together in all four “John Wick” movies before Reddick died in March 2023 at age 60.
According to Reeves, Riddick’s popularity helped make Wick a massive success, and he wrote a letter thanking him. The actor died days before the theatrical release of “John Wick: Chapter 4.”

“I once told him … Well, actually I wrote him a letter, and I said, ‘People love John Wick because Charon loves John Wick,'” Reeves told People at the awards show on Jan 4. “Because that character loved John Wick, that made John Wick okay. And so when I got to act with him, we had such an affection.”

The “Matrix” star added, “The characters had such an affection, and offscreen, we had such an affection and just really enjoying working on the ‘John Wick’ films, our characters, getting to work with Chad [Stahelski] and on that series,” he explained.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime project. I think he knew that. I knew it. And we just loved working together on it.”

We reported previously that Reddick’s cause of death was listed as ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, but the actor’s lawyer disputed the coroner’s conclusion, People reported.
“Lance was the most physically fit person I’ve ever known,” Reddick’s attorney, James Hornstein, said previously in a statement. “He exercised daily at his home gym, including extensive cardio work, and the availability of gym facilities was a contractual requirement for his work away from home. He ate as if a dietician was monitoring his every meal. The information appearing on the death certificate is wholly inconsistent with his lifestyle.”

Meanwhile, Reeves told People that Reddick had a “passion and a fire for creativity, and for his craft, and for art.”
“I had the chance to work with him on four films over the course of eight years,” Reeves continued. “Over that time, we got to know each other better. But also, he had such a grace and he was funny. I mean, humor-wise.”

In related news, Lionsgate confirmed that “John Wick 5” is in development, even though Wick appears to have been killed off in “Chapter 4.”

Mississippi Auditor Insists on Brett Favre Completing $730k Repayment for Misused Welfare Funds

A Mississippi state auditor is demanding that Brett Favre repay the welfare money he spent on projects he backed.
According to reports, Auditor Shad White has filed court documents demanding Favre to pay nearly $730,000 of funds meant for some of Mississippi’s poorest residents.

In February 2023, Favre, a Mississippi resident and Hall of Famer, sued White and two sportscasters for defamation over welfare misspending discussions.
In 2020, White accused Favre of wrongly receiving $1.1 million in speaking fees from a nonprofit, which Mississippi DHS approved, meant for a University of Southern Mississippi volleyball arena, where his daughter played and where he pledged to lead fundraising efforts.

During Monday’s court filing, White’s attorneys said, “Favre had no legal right to the possession or control of this $1.1 Million.”
According to reports, Favre repaid $500,000 to the state in May 2020 and $600,000 in October 2021, but a recent court filing stated he still owes $729,790 due to interest accruing on the original amount owed.
“It boggles the mind that Mr. Favre could imagine he is entitled to the equivalent of an interest-free loan of $1.1 million in taxpayer money, especially money intended for the benefit of the poor,” White said Monday.

Favre’s defamation lawsuit against White is ongoing, with White’s recent filing on Monday serving as a counterclaim in the case.
Mississippi prosecutors disclosed that millions of federal welfare funds allocated for low-income residents were misappropriated for projects favored by wealthy or well-connected individuals between 2016 and 2019.
At this time, Favre has faced no criminal charges in the misspending case, unlike others who have pleaded guilty, including a former department director.

Federal Appeals Court Rules Trump Does Not Have Presidential Immunity in January 6 Case
In a recent ruling, a federal appeals court has delivered a significant decision regarding Donald Trump‘s claim to presidential immunity in connection with the January 6 case. The court declared that former president Trump does not possess immunity from prosecution for alleged activities aimed at overturning the 2020 election results. This ruling directly challenges Trump’s primary defense against charges brought in the federal election subversion case by special counsel Jack Smith.

The court’s unanimous decision came from a three-judge panel, including two judges appointed by Joe Biden and one by George H.W. Bush. Their ruling emphasized that Trump, now a private citizen, is subject to the same defenses and legal scrutiny as any other individual facing criminal charges. The notion that executive immunity might have shielded him during his presidency no longer applies in this context.

Trump’s spokesperson has indicated plans to appeal the decision, aiming to protect the integrity of the presidency and uphold constitutional principles. The appeals court has set a deadline for Trump to request an emergency stay from the Supreme Court. This would pause the criminal proceedings while a more detailed appeal is prepared.

If proven, the court describes the implications of Trump’s actions as an unprecedented challenge to the U.S. government’s structure. The judges have rejected Trump’s argument that indicting him would deter future presidents from fulfilling their duties, noting that historical precedents do not support a blanket immunity for presidents from criminal prosecution.
Trump faces four counts in the election subversion charges, including conspiring to defraud the United States and obstructing an official proceeding. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges. The White House and President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign have declined to comment on the matter.

This ruling clarifies that Trump’s alleged actions, which purportedly sought to interfere with the 2020 election results, do not fall within the protective scope of presidential duties. Thus, he does not enjoy immunity from federal criminal prosecution based on the separation of powers clause. This decision underscores the principle that no individual, including a former president, is above the law and reinforces the accountability mechanisms within the U.S. legal system.

The case continues to unfold, with its implications extending beyond the immediate legal battle to broader questions of presidential conduct and accountability.
