#MAGFAB: Fantasia Barrino Graces Cover Of ‘Elle’ Magazine’s ‘Women In Hollywood’ Edition
Fantasia Barrino is “writing a new chapter” of her life. The singer and actress graced the cover of Elle magazine’s “Women in Hollywood“ edition Nov. 30. Inside, The Color Purple star opened up about the trials and tribulations that she has faced on her rocky climb to stardom
Barrino feels like she’s been given a second chance at fame after battling an abusive relationship and almost losing her life following a suicide attempt.

“This Tasia is different,” the Grammy Award-winning star, who is gearing up to make her on-screen debut as Celie in The Color Purple, told Elle magazine writer Danielle James. “It feels like Idol all over again—except that I’m a woman, and I get it.”
This time around, Barrino is doing things “the right way” and “with the right team.” The Broadway star also gave a shout out to her “king,” Kendall Taylor, for supporting her along the way. “I’m in a better state of mind. I’m ready for Hollywood now. I was not ready for Hollywood when I was 19.”

After winning Season 3 of American Idol, Barrino was thrown into the musical spotlight full force, but the star grew overwhelmed by the intense work required to maintain her success.
“I gigged for 20 years straight. Can you imagine being onstage just about every day the way I perform? Why is it that I ended up broke twice, with nothing? They took it all, they took it all. And I was taking care of my whole family,” the “Free Yourself” artist told James of the money woes she endured during the early days of her career.

Barrino’s money misfortune came as she was battling through an abusive relationship. “I was out here vulnerable, thinking that every man that says they love me loved me. I’m in abusive relationships, getting my ass whooped. I’ve been spit on. My life is so much like Celie’s.”
Reflecting on the hardships of her life, Barrino revealed that she bawled her eyes out while practicing a scene from The Color Purple with her co-star Ciara and other film members. The scene led to an intense healing moment for the North Carolina native.

“I started asking them, ‘How would you all feel if you haven’t seen your sister in years? Matter of fact, you don’t even know if your sister is alive. You think your children dead; you done gave up all hope. And all of a sudden, girl, they show up.’ That’s like somebody just on the ground just hollering, balled up, thanking God,” she described of the emotional scene. “It happens in different ways for different people —especially in that time. It was hard back then. I said, ‘You guys need to just let us tap into what we need to tap into.’ So, for me, that moment there was a…I don’t know if you remember. I kind of cried out. It was like a wail.”

Barrino added, “That was the moment for me. That one wail, I just needed to let it out because I did get everything back that I lost. Look, if I could just let you into my world for a day, you’d be too tickled. I got everything back that I lost.”
Happier and wiser, Barrino has a lot of exciting projects that are coming down the pipeline. The star will release a new wine line and hopes to design gowns soon. “I’ve decided to put time into creating,” she told James during her interview with Elle.

Congrats to Fantasia Barrino!

Weeks after providing a look at her Thanksgiving celebration, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum hit up Instagram to share another adorable peek at her everyday family life. Porsha uploaded an Instagram video of her cooking at the stove alongside her husband, Simon Guobadia, and young daughter Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley.

The clip showed the family dancing in the kitchen while Naughty by Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray” played in the background.
Porsha Williams gives a glimpse at her family's "spaghetti party"
“My first time cooking meatballs,” Porsha said in the video as she rocked back and forth to the beat.

Simon, who was holding the camera, then turned to little PJ, who began jumping up and down while Porsha chanted the iconic hook.
“Love is good music, cooking & looking crazy together,” she captioned the December 7 post, which included “The Guobadias” hashtag. “MeatBALLSSS. Pj said we’re having a spaghetti party.”

The former Atlanta ’Wife shared the update nearly two weeks after she and her Nigerian-American husband celebrated their first year of marriage. The couple tied the knot in the fall of 2022 with not one, but two wedding ceremonies. The first took place on November 25 at Atlanta’s Four Seasons Hotel and followed Nigerian native law and customs. The second was a more traditional American ceremony that was held on November 26 at an Atlanta Methodist church.

Attendees of the second event included Married to Medicine’s Quad Webb, RHOA’s Kandi Burruss and Drew Sidora, as well as RHOA alum Cynthia Bailey and Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Porsha spoke about her weddings in a March interview with People magazine, saying the ceremonies “were a dream come true.”
“It really was. It was all of me and all of Simon represented that day,” she told the outlet. “And all the people who love us and support us were there for us. And it was a true combining of family. A lot of his family from Nigeria and all over the world flew in for the traditional ceremony.”

“I am blessed with a future wife in [Porsha] that loves and supports our village, by being present in every child’s life including her very own adorable Pilar,” he wrote. “My prayer this Sunday is that other parents get to experience this same blessing as well – that of co-parenting effectively. Now, let’s go celebrate this family.”

The end.” She continued, “After having [Papa Bear], I couldn’t wait for the day he’d smile [at] me. First smile? It was one day when I blew a kiss to him. I said, ‘Papa mmuuuaahhhhh!!!!’ Then? 2 Chainz Reportedly Involved In A Car Accident In Miami
Saturday (Dec. 9) morning, TMZ reported that Atlanta rap legend 2 Chainz was involved in a car accident in Miami, Florida, during Art Basel weekend. The report mentioned that a Florida Highway Patrol rep confirmed a crash involving three vehicles — a Mercedes, a Nissan, and a Toyota. While there were no fatalities, police said at least one adult male was transported to a local hospital, but his condition was not disclosed, nor was his identity.

The rapper was reportedly driving on I-95 and about to exit when TMZ claimed a car hit his vehicle. It is being reported that the “Birthday Song” creator is currently in stable condition after he shared a video on his Instagram Story of him being loaded into an ambulance.

On Nov. 17, 2 Chainz connected with Lil Wayne to release their new album, Welcome 2 Collegrove. On Monday, Nov. 13, they released the first trailer for the LP, followed by the second part on Tuesday, Nov. 14. 50 Cent narrated both.
In the footage, the New York rapper said, “Let me tell you a story about these two guys that eventually became brothers.” He later introduced Wayne as “Tunechi” and 2 Chainz as “Slim” before adding, “And when they met up and devised a plan on how to take over the land, it kind of went like this. Welcome to Collegrove.”

Discussing the project with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, 2 Chainz shared insights into its creation. “We’ve been working on it for some time, had a lot of clearance issues, but for the most part, we’re two hardworking individuals who go in the studio every night. So, I don’t think it was hard recording the music,” he explained. “I think me and him just have that chemistry. We enjoy working with each other a lot, and it’s a lot of respect there.”

Keke Palmer’s Sentimental Holiday Tradition With Son Leo Has New Moms Taking Notes

When it comes to the holidays with mother-son duo Keke Palmer and Leo, they go all out! We saw them absolutely win Halloween 2023 with their elaborate costume, and in the holiday season, they’re going all out again (and new and soon-to-be moms are taking notes)!

In a recent interview with UsMagazine, the Nope star revealed that a friend of hers inspired a tradition she wants to do with baby Leo: custom ornaments.
“I love the idea of doing ornaments for every year of [Leo’s] first, second, third, fifth, whatever Christmases. But then also the idea that it’s something that can be a namesake within our family. That’s something I’m excited for,” she said about the new tradition that was inspired by her friend’s gift of ornaments with Leo’s face on it.

Palmer added, “Maybe it can even become a tradition … each year, that you do a new custom one to mark his age and his growth and that it’s something that he can also pass down and do with his children. I think that that’s actually a tradition that we’ll probably continue.”

This is such a sweet idea to honor every age of your child (and much easier to accomplish since Etsy has so many wonderful customization options)!

Amanda Bynes Returns to the Spotlight With Her Own Podcast and New Look
Amanda Bynes is making an entertainment comeback with a new job: Podcast host.
On Dec. 9, after staying out of the spotlight for years, the She's the Man star debuted Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast on Spotify. The series, available also in video format, marks the first on-camera project for the actress since filming the 2010 comedy movie Easy A.

On the first episode of the podcast, also released in video format, the actress-turned-fashion school graduate does not talk about herself but rather plays the role of interviewer. She and cohost Paul Sieminski, a biochemist, speak to Los Angeles tattoo artist Dahlia Moth, who had met the Hairspray star a few years ago while working at a Spirit Halloween store.

"First episode of Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast done," Amanda wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the three sitting together and flashing peace signs. "Thank you @dahliamoth!"
The 37-year-old showcased a new hairstyle on the podcast: Platinum blond hair, which she wore in two space buns. She had debuted the hair color earlier this fall.

For more than a decade, Amanda has largely kept out of the public eye and spoken sparingly about her private life amid personal struggles, focusing on other projects outside of Hollywood (she earned an associate's degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2019).

In 2021, her conservatorship was terminated after almost nine years. This past March, Amanda was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold and did not travel to Connecticut to join her former All That costars for a cast reunion at 90s Con as she had originally planned.

The former child star announced in November that she and Paul were working on a podcast, saying in an Instagram video, "At first we are going to interview our friends and then we're hoping to take it mainstream and interview celebrities and artists."

Over a dozen companies cut ties with Sean Combs since being accused of sexual abuse

In a string of losses, investors flocked away from Sean 'Diddy' Combs's e-commerce site Empower Global after fury mounted when multiple women alleged the Harlem rapper sexually abused them.

Approximately eighteen brands cut ties with the online marketplace. Takura's founder, Annette Njau, told Rolling Stone, "This decision was made on the day that Casandra Ventura filed her lawsuit."
"We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe in victims' rights, and support victims in speaking their truth, even against the most powerful of people," he added.

Another brand exec, Lenard Grier of No One Clothiers, said, "While this decision was difficult due [to] the reverence we once held for Mr. Combs as a leader in business and entertainment, it was clearly the correct choice."
The trickle-down effect comes after Sean's ex-partner Casandra "Cassie" Ventura filed a bombshell lawsuit on Nov. 16, alleging he sexually and physically abused her.

Following the scandalous allegations, three more women stepped forward with their sexual abuse claims against the producer-turned-entrepreneur.
Meanwhile, Sean strongly denied all accusations. "Enough is enough. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character destroy my reputation and my legacy."

He noted, "Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday."
Adding, "Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth," he told the outlet.

Jayden Daniels, Quarterback for Louisiana State University, Wins the 2023 Heisman Trophy

Jayden Daniels, the quarterback for Louisiana State University, was named the winner of the 2023 Heisman Trophy Saturday evening.
One of four finalists, Daniels edged out fellow quarterbacks Bo Nix of Oregon and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., as well as Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to win the most coveted individual award in college football.

Daniels joined LSU after transferring from Arizona State University in 2022. He is the third player in school history to win the award and the first since Joe Burrow in 2019.
“This is a dream come true,” Daniels said after his win, thanking his coaches, teammates, and family, and telling his fellow finalists he would look forward to seeing them on Sundays.

The 22-year-old finished his senior season at LSU with 3,812 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions while adding 1,134 rushing yards and an additional 10 touchdowns on the ground.
On his way to a Heisman-trophy-winning season, Daniels, among other things, led the nation in total offense with 4,946 yards in 12 games, along with an NCAA-record 208.01 passer rating.

In November, the San Bernardino, California native became the first player in FBS history to pass for more than 350 yards and rush for more than 200 yards in a single game, following a victory against Florida. In the game, he set the record for total offense with 606 yards, including 234 rushing yards and 372 passing yards.

Daniels followed his record-setting night by tying the school’s record for the most touchdowns in a game a week later when he recorded eight touchdowns, six passing and two rushing, in a victory over Georgia State.
With his 50 touchdowns on the season, Daniels etched his name as one of only five players in SEC history to accomplish the feat, joining Burrow (63), Florida’s Tim Tebow (55), Auburn’s Cam Newton (51) and Alabama’s Bryce Young (50) – all of whom were named Heisman Trophy winners.

In addition to the Heisman Trophy, Daniels has also been named the winner of the 2023 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, AP College Football Player of the Year, the Walter Camp and Davey O’Brien National Quarterback awards following the season in which he led the No. 13 Tigers to a 9-3 record and a berth in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl.

The Heisman is the pinnacle of individual achievement for a college football player. From legendary quarterbacks like Matt Leinart and Roger Staubach to explosive running backs such as Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders, the Heisman Trophy winners list reads like a who’s who of college football.
