#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey and Sutton Stracke’s Hangout Resulted in a “Bunch of Craziness"
During Cynthia’s recent trip to Los Angeles, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum took some time to catch up with fellow Bravolebrity Sutton Stracke. The two apparently met up at Pendry West Hollywood, where they enjoyed some light fare and plenty of laughs.
“Whew!!! Time just flies when [you] are with this one!” Cynthia captioned an Instagram carousel, which included snaps of her and Sutton at the luxury hotel. “Hours of a bunch of craziness & non-stop laughter! Everyone needs a little [Sutton] in their life! So in love!”
Sutton echoed the sentiment on her own Instagram account, where she also shared photos of her and Cynthia’s meet-up.

“Love [Cynthia] and our conversations!” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member wrote.

The Atlanta mom then jumped into Sutton’s comment section and revealed their rendezvous led the restaurant to temporarily close.
“Whew!!! Didn’t mean to close down the restaurant!” Cynthia added. “Sooooo much fun, until we meet again!!!!”
The friendship appears relatively new, as Cynthia told Page Six last summer she had yet to meet Sutton. That seemingly changed back in October, when they were spotted hanging out together at BravoCon 2022.
Cynthia posted an amusing video clip in which she is seen hugging RHOBH’s Garcelle Beauvais as Sutton stood to the side trying to get their attention. After a several failed attempts, Sutton squeezes herself between Cynthia and Garcelle and formed a group hug.
Needless to say, Cynthia and Sutton immediately clicked: “When I tell you [Sutton] is such a hoot!” the former captioned the video. “Always good to see queen [Garcelle]!”

But Cynthia’s LA trip wasn’t all play. She also made an appearance on the Jeff Lewis Live show, where she spoke about her experience on RHUGT season 1. She told the hosts she had high expectations heading into the show, but felt “isolated.” However, there was one cast member who made the trip a bit more enjoyable.

"The person I was the most curious about was Teresa Guidice," Cynthia said. "I knew Teresa through other friends, but I was always fascinated with how she overcame everything she went through ... I loved getting to know her. She was just really humble, really nice, and just really sweet and super transparent. And we just really connected, and we're still really good friends."

Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Went to see ‘Some Like It Hot’— and then someone pooped near them,
A fellow theater-goer pooped near Hillary and Chelsea Clinton during a performance of "Some Like It Hot" last week, Page Six reports.
According to one of the outlet's sources, "two human turds" were discovered near the famous mother-daughter pair when lights went up for intermission.

"The house crew dealt with it very appropriately and quickly, and Hillary and Chelsea remained in the theater for the second act," one source told Page Six.

The person who defecated may be a repeat offender. Per Page Six, one of their sources saw an eyewitness speaking to a house manager, "who said that it was actually the fourth time it had happened."
"There is someone who is either shitting in the aisle, or surreptitiously dumping defecation that they smuggled into the theater," said the source.

A second source disputed the serial pooping claim and said it was a one-off accident. "It was an elderly person and it's rather sad, but yes, the house staff worked quickly to help resolve the situation and Act II started as scheduled," they said.

Both Clintons stayed for the second act of the play at the Shubert Theater, per one of Page Six's sources. Pictures from the night of March 14 show the duo attending the play.
Spokespeople for Hillary Clinton and the Shubert Theater did not immediately respond to requests for comment

Donald Glover Criticized After Comparing Dominique Fishback's Character On 'Swarm' To A Dog
Donald Glover has landed in hot water over his comment about "Swarm" star Dominique Fishback. The co-creator of the series has been heavily criticized after comparing Dominique's character to an animal.

On Tuesday, March 21, the 39-year-old actor/screenwriter made comments about the 32-year-old actress during an interview with Vulture. "I kept telling her, 'You're not regular people. You don't have to find the humanity in your character. That's the audience's job,' " he told the outlet.

In the limited series, Dominique plays Dre, a young woman who is obsessed with a pop star and allows her fandom to make her violent. "She really was lost a lot of the time," Donald said about Dominique and added that he told her to "think of [her role] more like an animal and less like a person." He stated that he does not feel Dre is "that layered" and rather, he "wanted her performance to be brutal" because "it's a raw thing." He added, "It reminds me of how I have a fear with dogs because I'm like, 'You're not looking at me in the eye, I don't know what you're capable of.' "

Following his remark, fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media. "Watching the trailer already gave me a weird feeling that made me hesitant and then when I realised DG was one of the creators it made sense," one user wrote, "And then reading this….pheeeew that man is absolute dogs**t and the more he gets praised the more unapologetic he will be."

"I don't wanna watch the rest of swarm after seeing what donald glover said in that interview like jesus christ," another person tweeted. One user in particular raised the issue of Dre coming off as autistic and how that can be harmful to those who deal with the disorder, writing, "What donald glover said about dre makes me even sadder cuz she's autistic coded asff and im tired of being seen like a creepy animal."

The seven-part series, which arrived on Prime Video on Friday, March 17, stars Dominique as Dre, a tormented young woman whose obsession with pop star Ni'Jah takes a violent turn. The show, which explores the dark side of stan culture, features a star-studded cast including singers Billie Eilish and Chloe Bailey, "Snowfall" star Damson Idris and actor Rickey Thompson.

Amanda Bynes Starts To Make Improvements Since Psychiatric Hold
Amanda Bynes has reportedly shown progress in her condition following her latest psychotic episode. The "Easy A" star has started to make improvements after she was brought to a mental health hospital on early Sunday morning, March 19, according to a new report. Despite her improvements, Amanda will likely be committed at least another week at the hospital before she'll be well enough for discharge.

Additionally, more details about the days leading to Amanda's psychiatric hold have been disclosed. According to TMZ, the actress could've been living on the streets for several days before her hospitalization.

Sources close to the 36-year-old star say they're still putting the pieces together, but at this point they believe that she had been wandering the streets several days before she was found naked and alone. The actress' car was reportedly towed on March 15 in Long Beach, about 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from downtown L.A., where she was found on Sunday, March 19.

From Long Beach, the sources speculate that Amanda hitchhiked or took public transport to get around. She was spotted in Hollywood on March 18, appearing out of it but still clothed at the time. At one point, she got a ride to Beverly Hills from a stranger, but then asked to return to Hollywood.

An eyewitness recently recounted seeing Amanda wandering the streets naked. The source told Entertainment Tonight, "Amanda was wandering alone on Hollywood Blvd. at around 1 am. No one really recognized her or noticed her. She was walking tensely and by herself. A woman started walking with her and tried to help her. Amanda asked the woman to hold her. Amanda seemed to be in a loving, wholesome mood [but] seemed as though she was out of it."

The eyewitness went on to claim that the former child star "did not want" to return home because she had been "kicked out" by her on-and-off boyfriend Paul Michael and had wanted to be dropped off at a friend's house, but the friend did not answer the door.

The eyewitness added, "She asked to be dropped off at her friend's place in Beverly Hills. When the woman went to drop her off, Amanda's friend did not answer. Amanda said she did not want to go home and noted that her boyfriend kicked her out. Amanda then asked to be dropped back off on Hollywood Blvd., and the woman obliged."

Meanwhile, another fan previously shared a video she took with Amanda days before her hospitalization. In the video, the fan said she met the actress by chance in Hollywood on St. Patrick's Day, which was on Friday, March 17.

The former Nickelodeon star looked dispirited as she held onto the female fan's arm during a stroll. The fan also claimed that she gave the actress some money. "She was sweet, gave her some money and talked. Sometime ppl just [need] sb to talk to," she wrote of their encounter.

Uganda will criminalize identifying as LGBTQ in one of the world's most restrictive laws
Uganda has had laws on the books criminalizing same-sex acts for over a century. Yesterday (March 21), the east African nation took it a step further as lawmakers voted to ban identifying as LGBTQ, deeming it a promotion of gay identity.

The Ugandan parliament overwhelmingly voted in favor of the Anti-Homosexuality Act with only two out of nearly 400 representatives standing up against it.

“Congratulations,” Speaker Anita Among said during the proceedings, per NPR. “Whatever we are doing, we are doing it for the people of Uganda.”
“Our creator God is happy [about] what is happening,” lawmaker David Bahati added, according to Reuters. “I support the bill to protect the future of our children.”

Uganda, like most former British colonies, has outlawed same-sex intercourse since its occupation. But the new law goes much further than the previously established restrictions and is among some of the most oppressive pieces of anti-LGBTQ legislation on the planet. Anyone who identifies as gay or queer will be subject to up to 20 years behind bars, which will likely include any people or advocacy groups seen as promoting these identities. Homosexual relations remain a crime punishable with up to life in prison, though some instances of broadly defined “aggravated homosexuality” can warrant the death penalty.

Sadly, Uganda isn’t alone on the continent; homosexuality is criminalized in more than 30 of Africa’s 54 countries. It’s also not the first time in recent years that the government has passed anti-gay legislation. In 2014, a similar law was put into place, though it was eventually struck down by the courts on procedural grounds following outrage in the country and from international donors. Human Rights Watch called the new legislation a “more egregious version” of that act.

After yesterday’s decision, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken decried the bill, saying it “would undermine fundamental human rights of all Ugandans.” He added in his tweet, seen below, “We urge the Ugandan Government to strongly reconsider the implementation of this legislation.”
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker TΓΌrk blasted the vote as a “deeply troubling development.”

“If signed into law by the president, it will render lesbian, gay, and bisexual people in Uganda criminals simply for existing, for being who they are,” he said. “It could provide carte blanche for the systematic violation of nearly all of their human rights and serve to incite people against each other.”

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has previously spoken in support of the new Anti-Homosexuality Act and is expected to sign it into law.

Diddy And Family To Star In Hulu Reality Series
Puff Daddy and the family are coming to Hulu. Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly getting his own reality series that will feature him and his children, tentatively titled “Diddy + 7.”
“It’s going to profile the entire family. They all have businesses—even the kids—and it will feature everyone,” a source tells Page Six.

Production is already underway. The Combs brood has been spotted filming in locations including Los Angeles and Miami, according to the report.

Earlier this year, The Jasmine Brand was first to report that he had filed a trademark for a “reality-based television program” called “Diddy + 7.”
The 53-year-old billionaire is a father to seven children, including Quincy, Christian, and twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, who he shares with the late Kim Porter. He also has another son Justin, with Misa Hylton, and daughter Chance, with Sarah Chapman. In December, he announced the surprise arrival of his youngest daughter, Love Sean Combs.

Diddy has dabbled in reality television before with shows including MTV’s “Making the Band” and VH1’s “I Want to Work for Diddy.”

He will be in good company at Hulu. The streaming service is already home to the Kardashians’ reality series “The Kardashians,” which is currently shooting its third season.

The REVOLT chairman is looking to make more big moves in the media space. He has expressed interest in buying a majority ownership stake in BET from its current owner Paramount Global, with the goal of building a “Black-owned global media powerhouse.”

The SEC charges Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul and others with illegally promoting crypto
Eight celebrities including actor Lindsay Lohan, influencer Jake Paul and rapper Soulja Boy have been charged by federal regulators with illegally touting two cryptocurrencies and failing to disclose they were paid to do so.

The two cryptocurrencies, Tronix (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT), were sold by crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun, who was also charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Sun and three of his wholly-owned companies — Tron Foundation Limited, BitTorrent Foundation Ltd. and Rainberry Inc. — are accused of the unregistered offer and sale of crypto asset securities and manipulating the secondary market by "wash trading," which involves quickly buying and selling cryptocurrencies to make them seem like they're being actively traded.
The SEC also says Sun and the companies paid celebrities with vast social media followings to hype TRX and BTT and directed them not to publicly disclose their compensation.

"This case demonstrates again the high-risk investors face when crypto asset securities are offered and sold without proper disclosure," SEC chair Gary Gensler said in a statement.

The other celebrities charged in the scheme are:
Austin Mahone
Michele Mason (known as Kendra Lust)
Miles Parks McCollum (known as Lil Yachty)
Shaffer Smith (known as Ne-Yo)
Aliaune Thiam (known as Akon)

Each of the eight is accused of illegally touting one or both of the securities.
Six of the celebrities — excluding Soulja Boy (whose legal name is DeAndre Cortez Way) and Mahone — have agreed to pay a total of more than $400,000 to settle the charges without admitting or denying the SEC's findings.

NPR reached out to representatives for each of the celebrities with a request for comment but did not immediately hear back from seven out of the eight. A representative for Jake Paul declined to comment.
Crypto's meteoric rise in popularity led to a wave of celebrities plugging various digital currencies, but regulators' interest in ferreting out illegal behavior in the crypto market has landed several of those stars in legal trouble.

In October, the SEC charged Kim Kardashian with using her Instagram account to tout a cryptocurrency without divulging that she was being paid to promote it.

Dick Van Dyke Hit A Block Wall While Driving In Malibu, Authorities Say
Dick Van Dyke was driving on a slick road last week in Malibu, California, when he crashed into a block wall, authorities said Wednesday.

No other vehicles were involved when Van Dyke, 97, hit the wall about 11:20 a.m. March 15, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

"Van Dyke sustained moderate injuries and was subsequently treated on the scene by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department," the sheriff's department said.
Teen suspect in Denver school shooting found dead near vehicle in nearby county
The rain-soaked roads appeared to have been a factor, and the car was "traveling at a speed which was unsafe for the present conditions," the statement said.
No passengers were in the vehicle, and drugs and alcohol were not factors, the sheriff's department said.
Representatives for Van Dyke could not immediately be reached for comment.

Van Dyke, famous for, among others, "Mary Poppins" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show," also made headlines a decade ago for an incident that happened while he was behind the wheel.
In 2013, Van Dyke's Jaguar caught fire on Highway 101 near Los Angeles, authorities said.
A man pulled him from the vehicle after he saw him slumped over the steering wheel. Some calls to 911 reported that Van Dyke seemed to be passed out, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He tweeted a lighthearted comment about the harrowing event.
“Used Jag for sale REAL CHEAP!!”

The prosecutor drops charges against 'Rick and Morty' co-creator Justin Roiland
All felony domestic violence charges against Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty as well as Solar Opposites, were dropped by prosecutors.

The Orange County District Attorney's Office has dismissed all charges against Rick and Morty co-creator and star Justin Roiland.

Kimberly Edds, spokeswoman for the district attorney's office, told NPR the decision was made "as a result of having insufficient evidence" to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Roiland pleaded not guilty to two felony domestic violence charges in Orange County, Calif., in 2020. He appeared in some pretrial hearings that occurred earlier this year.

Roiland reacted to the dropped charges in a statement he posted on Twitter. He wrote that he had "always known that these claims were false."
He added that he is looking forward to moving on to "focus both on my creative projects and restoring my good name."

After reports of the charges were made public, Roiland's career took a major hit. Adult Swim said it was ending its association with him but that the popular program Rick and Morty would continue in his absence.

The adult animated show follows the adventures of scientist Rick Sanchez and Morty, his grandson, across the multiverse. It first aired on Adult Swim in 2013. The show's sixth season wrapped in December.
Roiland also co-created Solar Opposites, another animated show that airs on Hulu. Hulu similarly dropped him from Solar Opposites and another series called Koala Man, for which Roiland served as an executive producer and a voice actor,

Brandy and Paolo Montalban reprise their roles as Disney's Cinderella and her prince — 26 years later
Brandy has slipped back into a ball gown and jewels, complete with a sparkly crown, to reprise her role as Cinderella.
Disney+ gave a look at the actress/singer/producer working alongside none other than her Prince Charming, actor Paolo Montalban, whose character's name has now been upgraded to King Charming, on the set of the original movie Descendants: The Rise of Red. (The project was formerly known as The Pocketwatch.)

It's part of Disney's Descendants saga, which follows the teenage progeny of Disney characters. The Rise of Red installment follows the "imaginative mythology of two new lands, idyllic Auradon and the ragtag Isle of the Lost," where the offspring of Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Jafar and other baddies reside, and it introduces "the hostile unincorporated territory of Wonderland, a magical, mysterious place made famous in Alice in Wonderland."

The plot centers around Cinderella's daughter, Chloe, portrayed by The Baby-Sitters Club alum Malia Baker, and Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, played by Kylie Cantrall. "When the tyrannical Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, polar opposites Red and Chloe must join forces and travel back in time to undo the traumatic event that set Red's mother down her villainous path," Disney teased

It was only Wednesday that Montalban's casting was announced. While the new Descendants reunites the central characters from the TV movie, not everyone will be there. Cinderella alums Whoopi Goldberg, Bernadette Peters, Victor Garber and Jason Alexander are not expected to return; Whitney Houston, who memorably played Cinderella's fairy godmother, died in 2012.

Brandy has said in the past that the production, which was nominated for seven Emmy Awards and took home one for art direction, meant a lot to her.

"My dream when I was a young girl was to be a singer, have my own band and meet Whitney Houston. That was it," she told Good Morning America in August 2022. "I had no idea that my destiny would take me to a role [like] Cinderella, [or that I would] be the first woman of color to play her. And then for Whitney Houston to be my fairy godmother... you gotta be kidding me."

Still, she said, her favorite moment from the experience was off-screen. "It's in the studio with Whitney," said Brandy, who sang on the soundtrack to the musical movie.

Montalban, who's Filipino American, told NPR in August 2022 that he thought the entertainment industry was not ready for the "colorblind casting" of the original Cinderella, but society was. However, he said the industry had caught up in the 25 years since the movie had premiered.

"You can see examples of it in other period-type dramas that have nontraditional casting like Bridgerton," he said. "Or you have people of color playing traditionally Caucasian characters in history in, say, Hamilton, right? So I think that that proof of concept that we did back in 1997 has permeated throughout the industry in a very positive way."

Marvin Gaye III Files for Divorce from Wife Two Months After Domestic Violence Arrest
It’s over between Marvin Gaye III and his wife Wendy Gaye. Simply put, Marvin III has filed for divorce. His action comes two months after he was busted in connection with domestic violence.
In the January 12 incident, Wendy claimed he aimed a gun at her and physically assaulted her and her female cousin. Interestingly, Gaye III, 57, listed January 12 (the day he was arrested) as the day of their separation.

Meanwhile, Wendy Gaye obtained a restraining order in connection with the incident, in which she said Gaye lifted her off the ground by her neck, then attacked her female cousin when she tried to separate them. After the incident, Gaye turned himself in to authorities and was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence.

Gaye was released after posting a bond of $50,000, TMZ reported. In legal docs for the divorce petition, Gaye claimed ‘irreconcilable differences as the cause behind the breakup, and requested the court block his estranged wife from receiving spousal support.

The Gaye domestic situation is even messier than we thought. TMZ also reported that the violence against the two women stemmed from an argument about a previous assault. A source also told the publication that the marriage between Marvin and Wendy has been rocky and the two “have had ongoing issues for a while now.”

Gaye III is the adopted son of legendary singer Marvin Gaye and his wife Anna Gordy Gaye – the pair were wed from 1963-1977. The singer was shot and killed by his own father in 1984 when he was 44, while Anna, who was 17 years his senior, died in 2014 aged 92. Gaye III’s biological mother is Denise Gordy, the niece of Anna. Denise gave birth to Gaye III when she was just 16 years old. Denise has previously said she agreed to give birth to the child because her aunt was unable to conceive. Gaye married his second wife, Janice in 1977 and they had two children, daughter Nona and son Frankie. Gaye III has largely stayed out of the public eye but in 2013 revealed he was suffering from kidney failure and was seeking a donated organ for transplant. He revealed he had been receiving dialysis for renal failure for three years and was having trouble finding a suitable kidney for transplant. He shared his condition publicly to help draw attention to the challenges Black and Hispanic people face when seeking healthy organ donors.

Chris Tucker Gives ‘Rush Hour 4’ Update, Teases ‘A Lot Of Good Stuff Coming’
The Internet went into a frenzy late last year when news of a potential Rush Hour 4 was on the way. Speaking with The Big Tigger Show on Audacy’s V-103 about his forthcoming movie, AIR, Chris Tucker spoke on the possibility but wanted fans to know it’s way more in the works for him.

“You’re going to see a lot of good stuff coming, but it’s going to be on a whole ‘nother level. That’s what I like about (it), I’m excited about that. It’s not going to be what you’ve normally seen… ‘Rush Hour 4’ that’s something I definitely will probably drop in there because I love working with Jackie (Chan), but I’ve got some new stuff that I think you’re really gonna like. I’m excited about it.”

While joking about eliminating a movie from his filmography, he opted for Rush Hour 3, citing, “it could’ve been better.”

Also, in the conversation, Tucker highlights Ben Affleck wanting to work with him, being able to write for the movie,

Body of Stephen Smith, Found Near The Murdaugh Home in 2015, To Be Exhumed Amid Homicide Investigation
The 2015 death of Stephen Smith is now being investigated as a homicide as renewed interest in Alex Murdaugh’s involvement looms.
Smith was found dead on a Hampton County road in South Carolina near Murdaugh’s home on July 8th, 2015. Initially, his death was ruled a hit-and-run. However, several factors didn’t add up in the death. For one, Smith’s body contained no injuries from the torso down. With many victims of hit-and-run accidents, their shoes are knocked off. Smith’s shoes were still on his feet, and nothing indicating a car had struck him was found at the scene. The teen had deep gashes on his forehead and injuries on his left arm and hand.

The 19-year-old was a former classmate of Alex’s son, Buster. The Murdaughs were a powerful family in the area, and their name had come up in Smith’s case numerous times. In 2021, investigators reopened the investigation into his death as Alex was accused of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul. Rumors have claimed Buster and Smith had a relationship, and that’s why that young man was killed either at the hands of or with the help of Alex. These claims have never been substantiated, but attorneys and investigators plan to uncover the truth.

Attorney Ronnie Richter, representing the Smith family, spoke with “TMZ Live” Tuesday, confirming that re-examining Smith’s body was high on their priority list. First responders initially thought Smith had a bullet wound in his head. This is one component that the family wants to know more about. Another autopsy is planned for the near future.

On the other hand, Buster released a statement following this latest revelation. He is maintaining his innocence and asking media outlets to stop insinuating that he or his family had anything to do with Smith’s death.

Alex is appealing his murder conviction.
