Candiace Dillard-Bassett is revealing how she feels about her current frenemy Robyn Dixon on the Real Housewives of Potomac. Robyn, who I’ve always adored, and thought was great for the show, has turned up to play this year! And I’m here for it. Although out of left field, her current feud with Wendy Osefo gives Robyn something to do, so I’ve found it to be highly entertaining. Even if she doesn’t know the meaning of words like “antagonistic.”
The latest episode of RHOP was a wild ride. Not only are we still getting off this high from Wendy vs. almost everyone on the cast, but now, things are heating up even more between Candiace, Robyn, and maybe even Karen Huger.
After a messy, messy day of filming, Candiace, of course, took to Instagram Live to express her strong feelings about some of her co-stars. “None of these bitches are real,” Candiace said on IG. “They’re all fake. No one’s loyal… F–k these hoes.”

According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Candiace to share her thoughts about Robyn’s bold move. Robyn brought out a speaker at dinner and blasted Candiace’s Instagram Live for the rest of the ladies to hear.
“It felt like an ambush,” she said. “It felt like my friend was trying to shame me in front of the group, and if she really had a problem with it, she could have just asked me about it. But she wanted to be a moment, and I didn’t appreciate my friend trying to have a moment with me,” Candiace explained.
Listen, I’m here for Candiace, and her reads just like the rest of the Housewives fandom, but c’mon, sis! You can’t say you felt ambushed by Robyn doing exactly what we would expect a Housewife to do. We’re filming a show here–it has to be interesting. And furthermore, Robyn is right. You posted it online! Whether we’re friends or not, it was going to be discussed, and you said it, so own it!
But it doesn’t look like she plans on owning any of that anytime soon. Regarding where she stands with Robyn, the “Drive Back” singer explained, “Well, we were [good]… I thought Robyn was the most loyal.”
Welp. I guess you’ll either have to reconsider or change your stance, Candiace. I don’t think what Robyn did was so wrong. Maybe it’s hard for me to conceptualize because it hasn’t happened to me, but I feel like once you put it on social media, it’s fair game to discuss. And that’s what she did. Was she looking for a moment? Possibly. But I’d rather see Housewives looking for moments on the show and making them happen rather than watching a boring group of Housewives.

Chris Brown has informally shared an unreleased song featuring a Michael Jackson sample, just weeks after his cancelled Thriller tribute — listen HERE.
On Friday (December 2), the singer posted a nearly 2-minute long snippet of the Hitmaker-produced song, titled “Transparency,” on Instagram.
In the caption, Chris Brown revealed he hasn’t been able to release the song due to a sample of Michael Jackson’s “The Lady In My Life,” which appears throughout the track.
“I know y’all been on me bout dis one ….,” he wrote. “(We couldn’t clear the sample and we felt it took away from the song if that music wasn’t there ) everybody and they momma ask me bout this damn song.”
“The Lady In My Life” has previously been sampled by a number of Hip Hop artists, most famously being incorporated into LL Cool J‘s 1995 hit “Hey Lover,” featuring Boyz II Men. The song has also been used by Ghostface Killah, Mac Miller, Three 6 Mafia and Tyga, to name a few.
Chris Brown did not indicate whether negotiations are still underway to get the sample cleared.
On November 19, just a day ahead of the 2022 American Music Awards, Brown posted a video to his Instagram account in which he can be seen rehearsing with a group of dancers to a number of songs from Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which celebrated its 40th anniversary on November 30.
An hour after sharing the seven minute video, however, Breezy returned to the post’s comments section to reveal that the AMAs had pulled the plug on the tribute performance.
Days later, Ciara shared a separate clip, which saw her joining Chris Brown and his dancers in a performance of the album’s title track, followed by her own solo performance of the bridge to “Billie Jean.”
“MJ thank you for the inspiration you’ve given us all! Thriller 40th Anniversary,” Ciara wrote in the caption. “@ChrisBrownOfficial you’re a rare breed of this generation. Always fun to rock with you.”
#HipHopNews: Oakland Will Honor Too Short With Street Renaming Ceremony
Too $hort has been a prominent figure in hip hop culture for over 40 years. He’s considered a legend in the game and now his city, Oakland, is naming a street after him.
Thanks to the Oakland City Council and the requests of Mayor Libby Schaaf and Councilman Noel Gallo, Foothill Boulevard between High Street and 47th Avenue will be renamed “Too $hort Way.”
“There’s an understanding that we should recognize him, based not only on his talent and contributions but also just honoring and respecting those who have come before us and given back to the city,” said Gallo, who first introduced the idea of honoring the icon. Oakland will host a ceremony on Dec. 10 to officially reveal “Too $hort Way.”
The street runs alongside his alma mater, Fremont High School, a community swimming pool, taco truck and several street art murals, including a painting of another Bay Area rap legend, the late Mac Dre.
The honor will come a day after the release of Mount Westmore‘s self-titled album. The hip hop supergroup consists of West Coast legends $hort, E-40, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. The album will include 16 tracks. On Dec. 2, the group released its latest single, “Activated.”
Too $hort began his music career as a teenager rapping about the struggles of the East Oakland streets. In high school, he played the drums in the Fremont band, which eventually helped him discover a sound that led to him having a long, successful music career. The Bay Area legend helped create Oakland’s distinctive sound and style in the late 1980s and early 1990s, which brought national attention to the city’s hip hop scene. His discography includes 22 studio albums, plus six Platinum and four Gold records.
Brittney Griner released from Russian prison 10 months after arrest
WNBA star Brittney Griner has been released from a Russian prison, President Joe Biden confirmed Thursday.
In exchange for her release, the U.S. government will reportedly send convicted international arms dealer Viktor Bout back to Russia, according to CBS News. Bout, nicknamed the “Merchant of Death," was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of, among other things, conspiracy to kill Americans. Retired U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, who is also currently imprisoned in Russia for the past four years on espionage charges, is reportedly not part of the prisoner swap.
"Brittney will soon be back in the arms of her loved ones and she should have been there all along," Biden said, standing beside Griner's wife, Cherelle, on Thursday morning.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the exchange took place at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. Griner will then be flown to a military medical facility in San Antonio for health evaluation, according to NBC News.
This news comes after months of back-and-forth negotiations between the U.S. and Russia following Griner's arrest in February after officials allegedly found hash oil in her luggage. She pleaded and was found guilty of drug smuggling charges and was originally sentenced to nine years. Griner was sent to a penal colony in November, but now, she will return home in time for Christmas.
Griner's timeline from arrest to imprisonment to release
In February, Griner flew to Moscow, where she plays professionally during the WNBA's offseason. Upon arrival, Russian customs officials allegedly found .702 grams of cannabis oil in her luggage. That’s less than the weight of a pen cap or a stick of gum, yet prosecutors alleged it was enough to meet the “significant amount” threshold under Russian law and asked the judge to sentence Griner to nine and a half years in prison.
By May, the U.S. government had classified Griner as "wrongfully detained," a classification that allows for the prisoner swap process to begin.
In July, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the U.S. had offered Russia a “substantial proposal” aimed at securing the release of Griner and Whelan, who has been detained since December 2018. The offer was believed to be a 2-for-1 trade for Bout, who for years had been atop the Kremlin’s prisoner exchange wish list.
While Blinken spoke directly to Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and urged him to take the deal, Russia showed no signs of accepting. Last month, Biden expressed hope that Russian president Vladimir Putin would “be willing to talk more seriously” about an exchange for Griner becasue U.S. midterm elections were over, and Russia wouldn’t be delivering Biden a timely political win.
It was always believed that any swap would include both Griner and Whelan, whom the United States has also classified as "wrongfully detained."
“We have not forgotten about Paul Whelan," Biden said Thursday. "This was not a choice of which American to bring home.
"... Sadly, for totally illegitimate reasons, Russia is treating Paul's case differently than Brittney's, and while we have not yet succeeded in securing Paul's release, we are not giving up."
Biden also stated that Whelan's family was informed prior to Griner's release that Whelan would not be part of the exchange.
"I am so glad that Brittney Griner is on her way home," Whelan's brother, David, said, per CBS News. "The Biden Administration made the right decision to bring Ms. Griner home, and to make the deal that was possible, rather than waiting for one that wasn't going to happen."
"It's just a happy day for me and my family," Cherelle Griner said. "I'm gonna smile right now."
WNBA and NBA statements on Griner's release
WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert and NBA commissioner Adam Silver released statements following Griner's return to U.S. custody.
"There has not been a day over the past ten months where we all haven't had Brittney Griner on our minds and in our hearts," Engelbert wrote, "and that has now turned into a collective wave of joy and relief knowing that she will soon be reunited with her family, the WNBA player community, and her friends."
"Brittney has had to endure an unimaginalbe situation and we're thrilled she is on her way home to her family and friends," Silver wrote. "We thank the members of the NBA and WNBA community who never wavered in their efforts to raise awareness of Brittney's unjust circumstances."

As all three statements alluded to, players, coaches and executives from both professional basketball leagues played huge roles in helping spread the message of Griner's situation.
Among other displays of support, the WNBA All-Star game shed a spotlight on her trial, while the Connecticut Sun and Phoenix Mercury, Griner's own team, had an emotional tribute before their late-season match in August. Steph Curry took time out of the Golden State Warriors ring ceremony in October to wish Griner a happy birthday and remind fans of her imprisonment.
All those efforts led to this day, where Griner is officially on her way home after 294 days.
Celine Dion Reveals She Has A Rare Neurological Syndrome
Celine Dion is postponing several Europe tour dates after the recent diagnosis of a rare neurological disorder that doesn’t allow her “to sing the way I’m used to,” she announced.
The superstar singer has stiff-person syndrome, which affects “something like one in a million people,” Dion, 54, said in an emotional video post Thursday to her verified Instagram account.
“While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having,” she said. “Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”
Stiff-person syndrome is “a rare, progressive syndrome that affects the nervous system, specifically the brain and spinal cord,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.
“Symptoms may include extreme muscle stiffness, rigidity and painful spasms in the trunk and limbs, severely impairing mobility,” the institute says. “Spasms can generate enough force to fracture bone.”
Specific treatments “will improve the symptoms … but will not cure the disorder,” it says.
Dion has struggled with her health for a while, she said, adding she has a great team of medical professionals and her children’s support.
“I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again,” she said. “But I have to admit it’s been a struggle.”
The Grammy winner said singing is all she knows – and what she loves.
“I miss you so much,” she said. “I miss seeing all of you, being on the stage, performing for you. I always give 100% when I do my shows, but my condition is not allowing me to give you that right now.”
Dion has “hope that I’m on the road to recovery,” she said. “This is my focus.”
She thanked her followers for their “encouraging wishes of love and support by social media.”
“This means a lot to me,” Dion concluded her message tearfully. “Take care of yourselves. Be well. I love you guys so much, and I really hope I can see you again real soon.”
Dion’s spring 2023 shows will be rescheduled to 2024, and eight summer 2023 will be canceled, the post said.
Slain University of Virginia football players awarded with posthumous degrees

The University of Virginia (UVA) has announced that it will award posthumous degrees to the three football players who were killed in a campus shooting last month.
In a news release on Monday, UVA said that Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry will receive degrees from the school’s College of Arts & Sciences, where they were all students.
Rachel Most, the school’s associate dean for undergraduate academic programs and dean of the school’s College of Arts & Sciences Department, made the request for the players to earn their degrees.
Davis Jr., a junior and wide receiver on the Cavaliers football team, majored in African American and African studies. Chandler, a sophomore and wide receiver, majored in American studies at the school.
Perry, a senior and linebacker for the football team, was a double major in studio art and in African American and African studies.
Chandler, Davis Jr., and Perry were shot and killed last month as they were returning from a class field trip to Washington, D.C.
Two other students, Mike Hollins, a running back for the school’s football team, and Marlee Morgan were also wounded in the incident, but have since been released from the medical facility following treatment.
Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a UVA student and former football player, was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony.
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares (R) announced last month that he’ll appoint a special counsel to review the events leading up to the shooting.
UVA Athletic Director Carla Williams, who attended Davis Jr.’s funeral service along with members of the football team and other school representatives, said in a statement that she was honored to present the diplomas to the families of the victims.
“It was a great honor to be a part of presenting these diplomas to the families of Devin, Lavel and D’Sean,” Williams said.

Forbes notes that the Barbadian songstress’ net worth currently sits at $1.4 billion, making her the 2,031st most wealthy person in the world.
Coming in behind Riri is Beyoncé, who ranked as the 80th most powerful woman on the list. The 41-year-old is reportedly worth $450 million and was included based on the success of her and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour, her acclaimed set at 2018’s Coachella and other endeavors such as her Ivy Park brand.
Rih and Bey also appeared on last year’s Most Powerful Women list, albeit at slightly higher positions. ‘Wonder Woman 3’ Reportedly Has Been Scrapped by DC
Wonder Woman 3 is apparently not happening, despite having gotten the green light two years ago.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. recently received the WW3 film treatment from Patty Jenkins and writer Geoff Johns. Sources say Jenkins—who directed Monster as well as the first two installments of the Wonder Woman franchise—was then informed the sequel will not move forward. She reportedly received the news from WB executives, as well as James Gunn and Peter Safran, who were recently tapped to head DC Studios.
THR writes that the film is “considered dead in its current incarnation,” as studio execs don’t believe WW3 will fit in with the new—and still developing—DC Entertainment plans. The magazine emphasizes, however, that “no decision has been made about next steps,” suggesting Wonder Woman may still have a place within the DCEU.
Jenkins’ first Wonder Woman hit theaters in 2017, and raked in more than $817 million at the global box office. Its 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984 simultaneously premiered in theaters and on HBO Max, ultimately earning $169 million worldwide. The threequel got the public green light days after the arrival of WW84. Former WB chief Toby Emmerich said at the time, “As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women—Gal and Patty—who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy.”

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Ordered To Settle Lawsuit Against Alleged Rape Victim
Kenneth Petty, the husband of Nicki Minaj, has been ordered by a judge to settle his lawsuit with his sexual assault accuser Jennifer Hough. In 2021, Hough filed a lawsuit against Petty, citing infliction of emotional distress, harassment and witness intimidation. However, Judge James R. Cho has referred the case go to mediation in hopes of the two parties reaching a settlement.
“Parties to select a mediator by 12/20/2022 and complete mediation by 3/6/2023,” court documents, obtained by AllHipHop, state. “[They] may participate in the mediation remotely. [Both sides] shall file a joint status report two weeks after completing the mediation, but no later than 3/20/2023, whichever date is earlier.”
Hough had previously sued Minaj, accusing her of participating in the alleged harassment and intimidation. She also claims Minaj threatened her in an effort to get her to recant her allegations of Petty assaulting her when both were minors, which led to him being convicted of with first-degree attempted rape and serving nearly four years in prison.
Hough has since dropped her case against Minaj, who dodged a $20 million default judgement against her when Hough’s legal team claimed she failed to respond to the lawsuit.
“My failure to respond to the complaint was the product of an innocent mistake, and I ask the court to excuse the delay so that I can defend what I believe to be an entirely frivolous case,” Minaj wrote in a statement to the judge presiding over the case. Petty, who plead guilty to failing to register as a sex offender last year, has attempted to clear his name by arguing that he never got the opportunity to defend himself against those claims. Yet, according to the court, the statue of limitations in the case has passed, making his argument “meritless.”
Hough and Petty are scheduled to return to court for oral arguments in the case on January 6, 2023.
Meet the 18-year-old who just became the youngest Black mayor in the country
An 18-year-old college freshman is now the youngest Black mayor in U.S. history after beating out his opponent for the position in a small Arkansas town.
Jaylen Smith, a recent graduate of Earle High School, said although he was “confident” he’d win the runoff election Tuesday, he was still shocked when he received news of the victory. He will be the mayor of Earle, a town of just under 2,000 people, according to 2020 census data, near Memphis, Tennessee.
“I felt so grateful! I had the craziest facial reaction when I won! It was such a blessing,” Smith told NBC News, adding that his parents are proud of him and have supported his campaign “every step of the way.”
Smith received 218 votes while his opponent, Nemi Matthews Sr., won 139, according to The Hill. Smith said he decided to run for mayor at the start of his senior year, with the encouragement of his fellow student government association members. He said he fully understands the historic significance of his win. “It feels awesome. Generations and generations of people will read about this historical moment,” he said.
Now, as mayor-elect, Smith said he plans to focus on transportation, public safety and bringing a major grocery store to the city. Increasing residents’ access to food sources is a cause Smith said he’s especially passionate about.
“We had one a long time ago, but it closed,” Smith lamented about the now-closed grocery store. “Our seniors don’t have transportation to get to and from West Memphis to get food. So it would be better to have a grocery store here in town.”
Smith, an Arkansas State University Mid-South student, announced the victory in a Facebook post that has been shared more than 800 times. He said he hopes his win will inspire other young people to get into politics.
“Go for it!” he said. “It would be good for more young people to step up to the plate and say, ‘I want to be the change. I want to be the leader people want to see in my community.’”

House passes bill to protect same-sex marriage, sending it to Biden's desk
The House passed legislation Thursday that enshrines federal protections for marriages of same-sex and interracial couples.
The vote of 258-169 sends the Respect for Marriage Act to President Joe Biden, who has championed the bill and is expected to sign it into law. It comes after the Senate passed the same bill last week by a vote of 61-36.
Democrats were unified in favor of the bill, while most Republicans in both chambers voted against it. Thirty-nine House Republicans supported the legislation Thursday and one voted present.
“Your love is your choice,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said on the floor Thursday, saying there is “no reason” to believe that Republican appointees on the Supreme Court won’t want to revisit precedents on LGBTQ rights after overturning Roe v. Wade. “The pursuit of happiness means you can love whom you choose.”
“I am shocked that conservatives that have a libertarian bent believe that somehow we ought to get involved in this,” he said. “It’s not the government’s business.”
The legislation — led by Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., the first openly gay person elected to the Senate — would assure that the federal government recognizes marriages that were validly performed and guarantee full benefits “regardless of the couple’s sex, race, ethnicity, or national origin.” It would not, however, require states to issue marriage licenses contrary to state law.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was present to gavel down the vote and announce the bill's passage. Loud applause broke out on the Democratic side of the chamber, while a few Republicans joined in clapping.
The bill was amended in response to Senate GOP demands. It clarified that religious organizations won’t be required to perform same-sex marriages and that government will not be forced to protect polygamous marriages.
The revisions to the bill meant the House had to vote again after passing an earlier version in July.
Former Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., the first openly gay member of Congress, attended the vote in the Capitol.
“It’s a sign of enormous political change in America,” he told NBC News. “And it’s meaningful for people. It’s real. It’s not a symbolic gesture. I know a lot of married gay and lesbian people who have been worried ever since Clarence Thomas said what he said. So this is reassurance to them as well.”
Passage of the legislation comes amid fears that the conservative Supreme Court majority might revisit the right to same-sex marriage after it rescinded the right to an abortion. It reflects the rapidly growing U.S. public support for legal same-sex marriage, which hit a new high of 71% in June, according to Gallup tracking polls — up from 27% in 1996.
In the Senate, 12 Republicans voted with unanimous Democrats to pass the bill, which sent it back to the House. The GOP proponents made up an eclectic group, including retiring Sens. Rob Portman of Ohio, Roy Blunt of Missouri and Richard Burr of North Carolina; centrist deal-makers like Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Thom Tillis of North Carolina; a leadership member in Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa; and conservative Sens. Todd Young of Indiana, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Dan Sullivan of Alaska and Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming.
Frank, who attended a bill signing ceremony with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Thursday reflected in an interview on the bill’s passage, 26 years after the Defense of Marriage Act banned federal recognition of same-sex marriage.
“I was here for the birth of DOMA. And this is one case when the funeral is a much happier occasion,” he said.

Whoopi Goldberg has banned any unauthorized biopics about her life after she dies.
During a discussion about the controversial Marilyn Monroe movie Blonde on “The View” Tuesday (Dec. 6), Sunny Hostin mentioned that people would be eager to make a biographical film about Goldberg. “It sounds macabre, but I was speaking to Whoopi, and I was saying that she’s such a famous person that when she passes away, people are going to make films,” the co-host said.
In response, the Sister Act star revealed she has a clause in her will that prevents unsanctioned biopics from being made about her. “Actually they’re not. They’re not going to make films, because in my will it says, ‘Unless you speak to my family, try it.’ Try it,” the 67-year-old stated.
Blonde, which was directed by Andrew Dominik, debuted on Netflix in September. The film stars Ana de Armas as the late Marilyn Monroe and has received massive criticism since, including a review from Planned Parenthood stating that the movie allegedly contributed “to abortion stigma by using medically inaccurate descriptions of fetuses and pregnancy.”
Dominik recently addressed the backlash at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. He claimed that when it comes to icons, U.S. audiences only want to see a celebration. “Now we’re living in a time where it’s important to present women as empowered, and they want to reinvent Marilyn Monroe as an empowered woman. That’s what they want to see,” he said. “And if you’re not showing them that, it upsets them.”
The director also didn’t understand why he was being accused of exploiting the late actress‘ life. He added, “Which is kind of strange because she’s dead. The movie doesn’t make any difference in one way or another. What they really mean is that the film exploited their memory of her, their image of her, which is fair enough. But that’s the whole idea of the movie. It’s trying to take the iconography of her life and put it into service of something else, it’s trying to take things that you’re familiar with, and turning the meaning inside out. But that’s what they don’t want to see.”
Despite not wanting one for her own life, Goldberg recently produced and starred in an autobiographical movie about Emmett Till. The 14-year-old Black boy was brutally lynched in 1955 while visiting his cousins in Drew, Mississippi.

On Tuesday night (December 6), it was reported that Caroline – the 14-year-old daughter of the 51-year-old Texas senator – was rushed to the hospital reportedly due to self-inflicted stab wounds.
The following night, Caroline took to TikTok to address the situation.
“I wanted to address this on my own because the media is completely altering the story and causing my mental health to be exploited for their gain,” Caroline started. “Honestly I think it’s sick that they’re using a 14-year-old as a publicity tool.”
“I also don’t enjoy the assumptions on why I did what I did,” Caroline continued. “No, it had nothing to do with my sexuality or my father. I’m not suicidal, but I am experiencing some mental issues and I’m working through it and getting the help I need.”
Caroline concluded, “Thank you so much for all of the support and love. It means a lot to me, but the most traumatizing part about this experience is how public it’s been. I’m feeling a lot better and I’m so happy to have a great support system, but I would prefer if y’all didn’t make bold statements about what this is when you truly have no idea what is going on. Love y’all, thanks.
In the caption, Caroline wrote, “Before yall ask yes I am reading from a script, had a lot to say and I wanted to say it right so I’m sorry if it sounds superficial.”
Despite her caption, one person commented on the video, writing, “the way this feels a lil forced babe.”
Caroline responded, writing, “idk how to make it not seem that way I have a message I wanna share – doubt either of my parents would be happy that I posted this.”
Along with Caroline, Sen. Cruz and wife Heidi share 11-year-old daughter Catherine.
Sen. Cruz has not yet publicly addressed the situation.

In a clip that is making rounds on social media Sapp answers a question about West receiving the 2021 Grammy award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album amid gospel artists who not only “do this for the genre but as a lifestyle.”
The Grammy nominated gospel singer and songwriter initially responded saying he didn’t have an issue with West’s win, but after thinking about the question he said, he finds it unfair. “Do I think it’s fair? Now that I think about it, it’s not. I don’t think that it’s fair at all,” he said. “What happens is, it ends up eclipsing those of us who really do this for the genre and as a lifestyle.”
He added, “It’s kind of wrong for me to say it like this but I’ve been nominated for everything. I’ve won more awards than most people will ever win.
So I’m cool with it, I’m like ‘Hey whatever.’ Maybe I’m cool with it because I’m looking at it differently, but I can absolutely sympathize with up-and-coming artists when you look at Billboard and Kanye’s whole record is like 1-40 of our genre [Gospel].”

Former Grey's Anatomy writer Elisabeth Finch has confessed to major lies about her personal life, namely battling cancer.
Months after being placed on administrative leave from the long-running ABC medical drama and then resigning from her job following a March 17 report by The Ankler newsletter that she may have "fabricated medical details from her personal life," Finch is coming clean.
"I told a lie when I was 34 years old and it was the biggest mistake of my life. It just got bigger and bigger and bigger and got buried deeper and deeper inside me," she told the outlet Dec. 7, adding, "I've never had any form of cancer."
Finch continued, "What I did was wrong. Not okay. F--ked up. All the words."
In 2014, Finch wrote in an ELLE magazine article that she had been diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer and was later hired by Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes to work on the show, with her reported health battle even incorporated into a storyline.
However, following the revelations that her medical claims were, in fact, false, she was removed from the show, which she resigned from before a planned review of the allegations by ABC's parent company Disney. And as The Ankler, which first broke the story, noted in its recent article, Finch later checked herself in for a five-week-long stay at an in-patient treatment facility.
Finch allegedly took great strides to appear ill in front of her colleagues, with an unnamed former colleague telling The Ankler that the writer was a co-worker "who lost her hair, whose skin was yellow and green, who had a visible chemo port bandage, who regularly took breaks to vomit, who only ate saltines for long periods of time and who wrote and talked about her experiences all the time."
In addition to pretending she had cancer, Finch also told colleagues in 2019 that her brother died of suicide, The Ankler reported. In reality, the outlet said, he is alive, and living in Florida.
But amid her guilt over lying to her co-workers, Finch shared that she missed her fellow writers on the series.
"One of the things that makes it so hard," she admitted, "is that they did rally around a false narrative that I gave."
And she hopes taking accountability can one day help mend some of the broken relationships brought on by her lies.
"I could only hope that the work that I've done will allow me back into those relationships," Finch explained, "where I can say, ‘OK, I did this, I hurt a lot of people and I'm also going to work my f--king ass off because this is where I want to be and I know what it's like to lose everything.'"

Reeves appeared at Brazil’s CCXP convention over the weekend and discussed his experience filming the fourth picture.

“In terms of action, it’s the hardest film I’ve ever made. But that’s what makes it good,” Reeves added.
The Hollywood heartthrob told the convention crowd that “there’s a lot of people that are coming after [Wick], and there [are] a lot of different kinds of scenes that are fun for the action.”
Reeves continued, “The table is this world above the world; and the people, the assassins, under the table are as boundless as the grains of sand on the beach. So there [are] a lot of people coming after John Wick. But really, for the John Wick film[s], it’s really just the invention of the scene, right? How can you do these scenes?”

Elon Musk Under Investigation for Turning Twitter Offices Into Bedrooms
Elon Musk is in hot water with the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection after reports of employees being forced to sleep in offices hit the internet.
On Tuesday, the remaining staff members arrived at the San Francisco headquarters to find beds, nightstands, and armchairs. What was once their workspace had been transformed overnight into bedrooms for staffers who will be working in the all-new “hardcore” conditions outlined by Musk as the app continues to undergo updates. Insiders claim there were about four to eight bedrooms on each floor.
While some dedicated staffers reportedly appreciated the new furniture, the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection was not impressed with the living arrangements, launching an investigation into Musk’s practices. The agency was first tipped off by an anonymous caller who filed a complaint through San Francisco’s 311 system, a hotline for non-emergency citywide concerns.
Patrick Hannan, communications director for the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection, confirmed his office was investigating whether Musk violated building code requirements. For spaces used for short-term stays, specific safety codes must be maintained.
Musk shot back at the department, claiming they were coming after his company for merely trying to make employees comfortable while on the job.
“So city of SF attacks companies providing beds for tired employees instead of making sure kids are safe from fentanyl,” he tweeted along with a link about the fatal overdose death of a 10-month-old baby who ingested fentanyl.
This is just the latest controversy facing the platform since Musk took over. Mass layoffs, a failed subscription service, and an increase in hate speech on the app have left users wondering if Twitter would survive Musk’s rocky takeover.

Shooting Outside Marietta (GA) Walmart Leaves At Least 1 Injured
At least one person was injured Wednesday in a shooting outside a Walmart in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, Cobb County police said. Police in a tweet initially reported several injuries but Deputy Chief Ben Cohen later said at least one person was shot and transported to a local hospital. The person’s condition is not known.
Police responded to a report of an active shooter and later determined the shooting was “between two separate groups … at the exterior area of the Walmart Automotive Center,” according to Cohen.
“It was two groups that knew each other,” the deputy chief said. “They had an altercation… There is no danger to the public.”
Several people were detained for questioning, Cohen said.
The shooting comes weeks after six store employees were killed by a gunman at a Walmart in Virginia.
A manager on an overnight shift at a Walmart in Chesapeake allegedly opened fire with a handgun on November 22 in the break room in what was the third mass shooting in Virginia in November.
“We are aware of the situation and are working closely with local law enforcement,” Walmart spokesperson Ashley Nolan said of the Marietta shooting. Walmart was evacuated, but no shots were fired inside, police said.
