She's Back! Tyra Banks Comes Out of Modeling Retirement to Cover Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019
Model, TV personality, activist and entrepreneur Tyra Banks returns to the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, more than two decades after being the first black woman to grace the cover of the magazine alone in 1997.
Banks came out of modeling retirement specifically for her 2019 SI Swim photo shoot, photographed in Great Exuma, Bahamas, by Laretta Houston. The star poses in a yellow Andi Bagus string bikini as she gives her signature smouldering smize to the world.

“My first one was 23 years ago, how crazy is that,” an excited Banks said on Good Morning America where she revealed her new cover. “I’m like damn — I’m 45 dog!”
This marks the third SI Swimsuit cover for Banks, 45, whose career was launched when she first starred on the cover of SI Swimsuit in 1996, with model Valeria Mazza, followed by a solo cover in 1997.

“Since Tyra’s first cover in 1996, she’s transformed herself into nothing less than a mogul, a cultural force and a supernova of inspiration and empowerment,” says SI Swimsuit Editor MJ Day. “She’s kind of the Swimsuit Issue ethos come to life, everything we know this franchise can be.”
For the 2019 issue, Banks recreated her iconic polka dot bikini moment during the Bahamas shoot.
“We couldn’t find the exact one in the archives — it was the polka dot bikini so we recreated that bikini,” she said. “I recreated it [the shoot] — 25 pounds heavier.”

Banks is one of three stars getting their own cover. She’s joined by Alex Morgan, USA National Women’s Soccer team star and Olympic gold medalist, and Camille Kostek, 2018 SI Swimsuit Model Search winner and 2019 SI Swimsuit Rookie.
“The three women that make up the covers of the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue represent the brand in the most powerful way possible,” adds Day, who is celebrating her seventh year as editor and 22nd year working at the brand. “While each individual woman is so unique, they come together cohesively to tell a spectacular story.”
The 2019 issue of SI Swimsuit features a diverse group of 34 women and continues to put focus on female empowerment and inclusivity. This year’s theme, “Shattering Perceptions,” sets an intention to “redefine the cultural conversation around beauty by celebrating a diverse group of women.”

Whether it’s Muslim model Halima Aden posing in a hijab and Burkini or 54-year-old model and author Paulina Porizkova writing an essay on ageism in the industry, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit continues to champion women from all backgrounds.
Other famous faces in the issue include Barbara Palvin, Hunter McGrady, Jasmine Sanders, Lindsey Vonn, Olivia Culpo, Simone Biles, Winnie Harlow and more!
Last year, Banks surprised model Danielle Harrington with her 2018 SI Swim cover reveal in an emotional moment for both women. Harrington was the third black cover star of the magazine’s swimsuit issue, following in the footsteps of Banks and BeyoncΓ©.
In 2015, Banks reflected on her history-making SI Swim cover, telling PEOPLE that at the time there was suspicions that she got plastic surgery.

“I remember back then everyone thought I fake boobs because they just kind of stood up like that,” she said while reflecting on her cover, adding, “But no that was good genes.”
Banks has been one of the leading body image activists in the industry, starting the conversation about unrealistic standards in the industry over a decade ago.
In 2007, after paparazzi photos of Banks on vacation in a swimsuit emerged, critics attacked her apparent weight gain. But Banks fought back, appearing on her talk show and exclaiming, “Kiss my fat a–!”
“I’m happy that the fashion industry is finally catching up,” Banks told PEOPLE last March. “What I’m hoping for is that the Ashley Graham‘s, the Gigi Hadid’s, everyone is just models. Not plus, not short, not trans, not curvy. I just want it to be normal.”
The model also opened up about her weight loss, a result of an ankle injury she sustained in 2017.

“I lost 30 lbs.,” Banks said. “Now I’m a different body type. But I don’t feel like I’m betraying people. I’ve still got a–, I’ve still got boobs!”

SI Swimsuit hits newsstands on Wednesday, May 8.

#Empire: The Cast Wants Jussie Smollett Back for Season #6
Jussie Smollett's "Empire" costars aren't satisfied with Fox's plan to keep the actor's character off the upcoming season and are lobbying network execs to bring him back full-time.
Sources on the show says cast members -- including Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard -- feel Jussie deserves a fair shake, and that should include a full return to the show. Just last week, Fox announced Jussie got an extension through season 6, but also ... it had no plans to bring his character back to the show.

Our sources say as soon as the announcement was made, Jussie's costars got busy contacting "Empire" brass and pushing for his return.
As for why ... we're told the cast feels Jussie's character was an incredibly important part of the show, and they don't feel his return will hurt ratings. In one of the final episodes of season 5, Jussie's character, Jamal, got married in the first gay, black wedding on primetime TV.
We got Jussie out just before the episode aired, and asked how he was feeling. He said, "Pride."

Jussie's still got some serious legal issues ahead of him, though ... he's locked in a nasty civil lawsuit with the city of Chicago which sued him for the cost of the investigation into the alleged racist and homophobic attack.
One theory on Jussie's contract extension is that Fox is waiting to see how the case plays out before making a final decision on his future with the show.

As we all know by now Smollett was hit with 16 felony counts for lying to cops about the incident... but the charges were ultimately dropped.

#MusicNews: Brandy Has Picked a Lead Single for Her New Album
For over a year, R&B vocalist Brandy and producer DJ Camper have been locked in the studio curating the masterpiece known as her seventh studio album. Now, after many seemingly restless recording sessions, the duo has selected a lead single for the forthcoming album slated to arrive this year.
While it hasn’t been announced when the official audio will be available everywhere, Camper shared fan reactions on his Instagram stories that questioned if the single and video would be premiering on this Friday, May 10.

In December, Camper revealed that Brandy’s new album was almost done, with “one more beat and song to go.”
Brandy also talked with Rated R&B in December about her time in the studio with the hungry musician and other musical creatives.
“It was so great because I was in the studio with [DJ] Camper, I was in the studio with Daniel Caesar. A lot of people were in the studio that I admire so I was like, ‘Whoa, this is really happening,’ so I just can’t wait for everyone to hear the sounds that we make together,” she said.
Her untitled album will mark the first release since 2012’s Two Eleven. The underrated LP included singles “Put it Down” featuring Chris Brown and “Wildest Dreams.”
If Brandy’s next album isn’t enough to be excited about, she has been named in an upcoming collaboration with Fantasia and Jazmine Sullivan. She is also featured on Anderson .Paak’s star-studded new album Ventura.

In other DJ Camper news, he has recently been spotted in the studio with John Legend, Kelly Rowland, H.E.R., and Mary J. Blige.

Apart from Drake, Chris also told fans that Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Juicy J, Lil Jon, Juvenile, Tyga, H.E.R., Gunna and more will appear on the forthcoming set, the follow up to the 45 song album Heartbreak On A Full Moon.

The #RoyalBaby: Meet Meghan and Harry name son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor
LONDON: Tired but beaming, Meghan and Prince Harry showed the public their baby son’s face for the first time on Wednesday, and also revealed his name: Archie.
The royal couple said their son, seventh in line to the British throne, is named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Mountbatten-Windsor is a surname used by some members of the royal family.
The couple did not choose an aristocratic title for the baby, who is not a prince but could have been given a title with “Lord” before his first name.
The couple did not disclose why they had chosen the names — though the meaning of Harrison, “son of Harry,” could be a clue.
Many royal-watchers had expected a more traditional royal name, with bookmakers taking many bets on Alexander, Arthur and James.
Archie is an increasingly popular name in Britain and was among top 20 most common boy’s names in 2017, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Famous Archies include former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, jazz saxophonist Archie Shepp and red-haired cartoon teenager Archie Andrews.
The announcement came hours after the proud parents posed for cameras, helping to satisfy a huge global appetite for images and details about their newborn son.

Standing in the vast, red-carpeted St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle, Meghan declared the baby was “a dream” and called motherhood “magic.”
Harry cradled his son in his arms as the couple posed for the cameras — the first in a lifetime of photo calls for the two-day-old baby, who is seventh in line to the British throne.
The baby lay silently, swaddled in a white merino wool shawl and wearing a matching knitted cap. Both were made by English firm G.H. Hurt & Son, which has supplied three generations of royal babies with knitwear.
Meghan declared motherhood to be “magic.”
“It’s pretty amazing,” said the 37-year-old American, formerly known as Meghan Markle. “I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
She said the baby — born Monday at 5:26 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces (3.26 kilograms) — had “just been a dream.”
“He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm,” she said.

Harry quipped: “I wonder who he gets that from.”
Asked who the baby took after, Harry said it was too soon to tell.
“Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks,” said the 34-year-old prince. “We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.

“We’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy,” he added.
The couple left the photo call to introduce the baby to his great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The infant is the eighth great-grandchild of 93-year-old Elizabeth, Britain’s longest reigning monarch.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is staying with the couple at their Frogmore Cottage home near the queen’s Windsor Castle residence.
The baby is the first Anglo-American member of the royal family, and is eligible for U.S. citizenship should his parents want it. He has African-American heritage though his biracial mother.
Family members have welcomed the new arrival with Prince William, Harry’s older brother and a father of three, joking Tuesday that he will be glad “to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!”

“Obviously thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and obviously looking forward to seeing them in the next few days,” William told reporters.
Meghan, the former star of the TV show “Suits,” married Harry, the ex-soldier younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, in May 2018. An audience of millions around the world watched the spectacular televised wedding ceremony at Windsor Castle, 20 miles (32 kilometers) west of London.

Harry is due to return to royal duties Thursday, attending an event in The Hague for the Invictus Games sports competition for injured service personnel and veterans. Harry is likely to make the jaunt to the Netherlands as a day trip so he can get back to his family in Windsor.

Woman Accuses Chris Brown of Cursing Her Son
Chris Brown is no stranger to the fact that with fame comes controversy, having been implicated in numerous incidents over the years while most recently seemingly being the victim of a very serious false allegation in Paris.

Now the singer is facing another accusation of a more peculiar kind, having just been accused by a woman for putting a voodoo curse on her pre-teen son. Sure enough, it's been reported that the woman traveled with her child from Texas all the way to Brown's home in Los Angeles, with a bible in hand and the intention that he would lift the curse.
Police then responded to the scene to find the woman throwing the Bible onto Brown's lawn, where she was then detained and treated for a mental evaluation while her son was put in protective custody.

Brown was reportedly not home at the time of the incident, though the occurrence brings to mind another incident back in 2015, when a naked woman broke into his home and waited for him in his bed. That woman also spray-painted "I Love You" on the kitchen counter and "Mrs. Brown" on his silver Rolls-Royce and black Range Rover, and was subsequently charged with felony burglary and felony vandalism.

Cardi B wears ruby nipples worth $250K to 2019 Met Gala
Cardi B's new Fashion Nova collection will include latex and corsets
Dorothy had her ruby slippers. Cardi B has her ruby nipples.
The rapper stunned the crowd at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday when she revealed that the Stéfère jeweled nipple covers on her Thom Browne gown cost a whopping $250,000.

“If I lose one of them, you know what I’m saying, Imma have to sell one of my Birkin bags,” she joked during an interview with Liza Koshy for Vogue.

The 44-carat rubies were designed by StΓ©fΓ¨re jeweler Corina Mihaila Larpin, who contributed a few other gems to the camp-themed gala. She designed two diamond rings for Janelle MonΓ‘e’s Mad Hatter ensemble, as well as Zendaya’s Cinderella-inspired diamond choker and earrings.

Marie Osmond joins The Ladies of CBS ‘The Talk’
CBS’ “The Talk” has added another music star to its mix. Marie Osmond will serve as a panelist on the daytime show when its 10th season premieres in September. Osmond joins co-hosts Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and former rap star Eve.

Osmond, who has served as a guest on the show numerous times, will replace Sara Gilbert.
"It is such a joy for me to be joining ‘The Talk’ in September,” Osmond said in a statement. “After guest co-hosting and appearing as a guest on the show throughout the years, I am thrilled to now call this my day job.”

Chadwick Boseman’s New Role is playing ‘Yasuke’, the first African samurai in Japan
Chadwick Boseman will be picking up a sword when he plays Yasuke, the first African samurai in Japan.

Yasuke, who was a native of Portuguese Mozambique, was brought to Japan in 1579 as a slave to Jesuit missionaries and was the first black man to ever set foot in the country.
The African warrior eventually served under Japanese warlord Oda Nobunaga, who he eventually became friends with and it was Nobunaga who gave Yasuke the title of samurai.
Boseman said the film isn’t just another role for him but an opportunity to tell a story that’s been completely obscured.
“The legend of Yasuke is one of history’s best kept secrets, the only person of non-Asian origin to become a samurai,” said Boseman in a statement. “That’s not just an action movie, that’s a cultural event, an exchange, and I am excited to be part of it.”

Boseman will help produce the film through his Xception Content production company, and the script will be handled by Doug Miro, the co-creator of the Internet crime series “Narcos.”
In addition to playing the African samurai — who was captured in a 1582 battle — the Howard University grad also stars in the crime thriller “21 Bridges,” set to premiere July 12.

Boseman plays an NYPD detective who shuts down all of Manhattan for an entire night to capture criminals who left eight police officers dead. He also shuts down the 21 bridges that lead into the island, hence the title.
The crime is ultra personal to Boseman’s character as well, because his father who was also a cop was gunned down when he was a child. The “Black Panther” star posted the trailer of “21 Bridges” to his Instagram page late last month.
“Even during the first read, I got lost in Detective Andre Davis’ ride,” he wrote.

A release date for the Yasuke film has yet to be determined.

Madonna Speaks on the Michael Jackson Allegations ‘People Sometimes Lie. I Don’t Have A Lynch Mob Mentality!
Madonna is breaking her silence on allegations against late singer Michael Jackson.
It’s been a topic of conversation after Oprah Winfrey sat down with two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who said Jackson sexually assaulted him in HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary that aired in January.
Madonna said during an interview,

“People are innocent until proven guilty. I don’t have a lynch-mob mentality, so in my mind, people are innocent until proven guilty. I’ve had a thousand accusations hurled at me that are not true. So my attitude when people tell me things about people is, ‘Can you prove it?'”

She added that she hasn’t seen the docu, but hinted that Robson and Safechuck could be lying.
“I don’t know, I haven’t seen the film. But I guess it would be people recounting actual events – but then, of course, people sometimes lie. So I always say, ‘What’s the agenda? What do people want out of this? Are there people asking for money, is there some kind of extortion thing happening?’ I would take all of those things into consideration. I guess I’ll get around to seeing it. I haven’t seen it yet.”

Meanwhile, Winfrey has said that she’s received lots of backlash from the film, which she knew would come.
Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, was also reportedly afraid the documentary would ruin her blooming acting career

The Intruder Star Michael Ealy says back in the day Chris Rock Was Rude To Him On Set Before Apologizing Years Later!
When starting out in any industry it can be intimidating to meet those you look up to and find out they that are unfortunately not what you were expecting. Actor Michael Ealy can certainly relate to this situation, as he recently recalled meeting comedian Chris Rock on set for the first time as a young actor and it was a crushing disappointment.

Back in 2002, The Intruder star Michael Ealy was a struggling actor still waiting tables in New York when he got cast in a small role in the action comedy Bad Company starring Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins. What initially began as excitement at his first Hollywood role—and the opportunity to meet his idol Rock, eventually evolved into disappointment.

In a new interview, Ealy recalls Rock being incredibly rude to him on set, which hurt and angered Ealy so much that he carried a grudge for Rock for years until he finally apologized.

Ealy detailed what happened during filming with Rock:

“Chris Rock was a little cold. He was probably at the height of his career at this point and I idolized him — I had watched all his stuff and thought he was so funny and I really respected him — but he was just kind of indifferent to me. “We had to do some reshoots for the end of the movie so they asked me to come back a couple months later — I’m still waiting tables, so I take a day off from that — and we’re doing this wedding scene between Chris and Kerry [Washington] and I’m the best man.

So, we’re about to shoot this scene, I’m in my tux, I come on set and Chris and Kerry are standing there and Joel is telling me where to stand. And right before he says action, Chris looks over at me and he says: ‘Oh. Still in the business, huh?’ And when he said that, it was like a Mike Tyson left hook. And I knew he wasn’t joking around. I think maybe he was trying to disguise it as playful teasing, but it was a dig. For whatever reason, it was a dig: ‘You still in the business, huh?’”

Ealy continued, adding that even one of the film’s co-star’s, Kerry Washington, was shocked by Rock’s behavior:
“Some people don’t get it when I tell this story, but to say that to me was beyond disrespectful — to the point where Kerry was like, ‘Chris, no.’ I still love Kerry to this day because she was like, ‘What’s wrong with you? That was just wrong.’ He had an entourage of people and they were very nice to me, but he was just an a——. You never know what somebody’s going through. Wherever he was in that point in his life, he probably wasn’t very happy.

When I first moved to New York and started waiting tables, I didn’t tell anybody that I wanted to act because it’s kind of a clichΓ©. I didn’t want people to look at me and think: Oh, this pretty boy thinks he can just come here and be an actor. I wanted to have a chance to prove myself to myself and pay my dues. So, when he said that, it was crushing. It was awful.”
Ealy also admitted that he was so angry he wanted to get physical with Rock, but refrained:
“I just stayed professional and did my best, but I was stuck there having to look like I’m happy to be at my friend’s wedding when really at this point, I wanted to punch him in the f—— face. The crying came later. In the moment I wanted to punch him in the face. That was my Maryland upbringing coming into play where you just fight.”

However, Ealy’s encounter with Rock didn’t end there. A few years later in 2005, they crossed paths again at the Golden Globes—and Ealy says Rock humbly apologized:

“Years later I see Chris at the Golden Globes. I had been nominated for ‘Sleeper Cell’ (a Showtime drama from 2005) and I run into him on my way to the bathroom. And you know what he said? ‘I love your work and I apologize for what I said.’ He somehow remembered what he said to me and that it was wrong — and he owned up to it and apologized and told me he loved my work and he was a fan. That’s when the crying happened! For him to acknowledge it was huge — it meant everything to me. And he’s kind of a dope person because of that.”
Ealy says that early moment in his career motivated him and has impacted how he copes with the rudeness that often occurs in Hollywood:
“It’s a takeaway that I still hold true to this day: There will be plenty of people who will not believe in you. Some will be in positions of power, some will be huge stars. But not matter how crushing it feels, you cannot give up. You have to keep pushing.

My thing was, whether (Rock) knew it or not, I came out OK. Whether he apologized or not, I came out OK. And to this day I look at Chris Rock as a stand-up guy because what we do in our youth, let’s be honest, we all do stuff. I’m glad it happened because I get treated the same way by certain Hollywood executives now. The same stuff happens right now (laughs). So it helped me learn coping skills. If I didn’t believe in myself, I’d be out of this business. This career requires that much self-fortitude and determination.”

What do you think of Michael Ealy’s comments about Chris Rock?

Suspects In Denver School Shooting Have Been Identified and was in Court!
Two suspects have been apprehended after a shooting spree at the STEM School Highlands Ranch. The school has about 1,850 students, which covers grades K-12.

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said the suspects are believed to be students at the school. One suspect is classified as an adult male, the other a juvenile.
According to CNN, one of the suspects has been identified as 18-year-old Devon Erickson. The other suspect’s name is being withheld because he is still being considered a minor. The Douglas County Sheriff’s department also said it would not release photos at this time to maintain the integrity of their investigation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Reports claim shooting started in the school just before 2 p.m.
The suspects walked into the school, and “got deep inside the school,” engaging students in two separate classrooms, Spurlock said. One student, an 18-year-old male, was killed in the school, according to Deputy Cocha Heyden, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
Several other victims were left in critical condition; eight students were taken to local area hospitals, the youngest victim is 15 years old.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The shooting rattled the area and community that just marked the 20th anniversary of the deadly shooting at Columbine High School in 1999. Columbine is a mere 7 miles away from STEM School Highlands Ranch.

Donald Trump asserts executive privilege over Mueller report as House panel debates holding attorney general in contempt!
WASHINGTON – The White House said Wednesday that President Donald Trump has asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

The decision, announced by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, came as the House Judiciary Committee debated whether to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide the entire unredacted report to lawmakers.
The decision marks the first time in Trump's presidency that he has invoked his protective powers to withhold information from the public and likely sets up a protracted legal battle between the administration and congressional Democrats, who have been pushing for access to the full 448-page report and its underlying evidence.

By asserting executive privilege, the White House is denying Congress access to the evidence gathered during Mueller's investigation. The House Judiciary Committee has issued subpoenas for the materials.
In a statement, Sanders argued the administration had no choice but to assert executive privilege given the actions of the committee and its chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y.

“The American people see through Chairman Nadler’s desperate ploy to distract from the President’s historically successful agenda and our booming economy,” Sanders said. “Neither the White House nor Attorney General Barr will comply with Chairman Nadler’s unlawful and reckless demands."
At Wednesday's hearing, Nadler called the administration's move a “clear escalation in the Trump administration's blanket defiance of Congress."

Contempt: House Judiciary Committee meets to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt
Sanders argued that Barr has been “transparent and accommodating,” including by releasing a redacted version of Mueller report to the public and offering to testify before the committee.
“These attempts to work with the committee have been flatly rejected,” she said. “They didn’t like the results of the report, and now they want a redo.”
In remarks to reporters, Sanders repeated Trump's belief that Mueller and others should not have to testify before the House and that the Mueller report should be the last work on the Russia investigation.

"This is over," Sanders said.
Mueller found no collusion with the Trump campaign, she said, and House Democrats only want to keep casting suspicion on Trump.
"If Bob Mueller couldn’t find it, I am 100 percent sure that Jerry Nadler is not going to find anything that Bob Mueller couldn’t," Sanders said.

Sanders also said Democrats want to see classified information and grand jury material that is confidential by law.

"Chairman Nadler is asking the attorney general of the United States to break the law and commit a crime by releasing information that he knows he has no legal authority to have," she said.
