ZoΓ« Kravitz Covers British ELLE’s December Issue 2018
ZoΓ« Kravitz cover the December 2018 issue of British ELLE magazine photographed by Alexander Saladrigas and styled by Gillian Wilkins.
On “Big Little Lies” and its message of female unity: “That was something people wanted: women standing up for themselves and standing up for each other,” she says. “There was some kind of collective consciousness going on, because the Me Too movement happened right after.”

On being disappointed by the roles offered to black women: “You read scripts and you’re like, ‘Where is my story?’ Often, the parts written for women are accessories to men’s stories, and parts written for any kind of minority are an accessory to a white person’s story.
A script will point out that a character is African-American, and you know how she’s going to talk. She’s going to add some attitude or something. It’s just about creating characters for women and people of color who feel like real people, who feel complicated and honest – not just being used to further a white person’s story.”

#RHOA: Why NeNe Leakes Says She and Kandi Burruss Switch Places This Season
NeNe Leakes says the tears are flowing for her on this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Leakes sat down with ET's Lauren Zima on Wednesday to talk about how the show's 11th season has been different for her.
"This season, I turn into Kandi Burruss, and she actually turns into me," Leakes said. "I cry all season. It's so exhausting. I don't know how people cry like this. You know, Kandi would cry if you just start talking to her."

Sadly, Leakes' tears have been brought on by her husband Gregg's cancer battle, and she admits that the fight is taking a toll on the couple.
"It feels like a very slow divorce," she said. "It really does, because we're in two different places right now. And this is not anything that he can help, he can't control this, this is his body. And this time in our relationship, this is when your vows are really tested. Through sickness and health, honey, that's what you're supposed to do."

Leakes said Gregg is "doing really, really well," however, and she still retains some of her humor, and of course, her honesty.
"When I tell you I cry this season, oh my god, it's so exhausting. And you also get lines under your eyes and puffiness and you need to go see the plastic surgeon," Leakes joked.

Season 11 of the long-running reality show is full of changes for much of the cast, from weddings to pregnancies and more, but Leakes says what it really focuses on is the bond between the women -- and saying goodbye to haters past.

"I feel like the past seasons we've had a lot of darkness and heaviness, just nasty stuff," the 50-year-old said. "And I don't think that is necessary to have a great show. I don't see why any women would all need to tear each other down on a daily basis. So, all of those people, you can just figure out who they are yourself, all those people who are not currently here, that means there is a lot of negativity that has left the building, and we are too excited about it."

She added, "This season is about a lot of sisterhood, a lot of support, and we do have a little drama that's happening as well. We are the Real Housewives of Atlanta, we couldn't have the show without drama!"

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

#Empire: Recap: Lucious & Cookie Have New Tricks Up Their Sleeves
Tonight’s episode of Empire finds the Lyon Family starting to get their stride back (a little bit). Cash flow is still slow but plans are being set in motion. Cookie launches what she calls her five boroughs and five days tour where she is basically going around to various parks in the city looking for the best of the best talent. In other hustle news, Thirsty and Lucious are finalizing plans to get a rapper named Carlito under Lyon Family Management.
The thing is, Carlito’s manager is in a lot of financial trouble due to his gambling problem so he’s in the hole. Dude has cleaned out his bank account and mortgaged his home. The only collateral he still has is Carlito, and depending on his luck during the next Wednesday night Polka game, he might lose that too. That is what Lucious is banking on. Thirsty got Lucious a seat at the table but the problem is, the game has a half a millie buyout. High rollers only. However, we already know the Lyons ain’t got that kind of money. Lucious’ solution to get the money is to sell a painting from the Lyon Family’s personal collection. It’s a painting that was a wedding gift to Cookie so it’s obviously scared. Lucious thinks he’ll be able to buy it back after the game before Cookie even notices.

Hold that thought.

Let’s fast forward a bit. Now we see Becky and Giselle in a studio session with Three Black Divas. It’s going well, the music is poppin, but then Kingsley comes in and kills the vibe. TBD can’t hear him talking smack about them because they’re in the booth with the sound turned off, but he tells Becky and Giselle that they’re old and crust, not poppin and not doing well digitally, so they need to be dropped. Becky and Giselle call him out because they had big plans for TBD, including performing at the Essence Fest. Then Giselle makes the perfect connection and calls Kingsley out. TBD’s success his bitterness toward TBD is more about the Lyons because TBD’s success would be a victory for them. The’yre the ones who signed them. If TBD is successful then Lucious gets the props. Kingsley denies this, obvi, and walks out after his mantrum. We all know the deal though.

Then we get to the moment where TBD is popping bottles because they think they’re celebrating with Giselle. They even toast Kingsley and that’s when Giselle lets it all out about them getting dropped because Kingsley is trash. TBD says this makes them miss the Lyons because at least they know what they’re worth.

Now we’re at the poker game. Lucious is sitting next to a mysterious man named Damon Cross (Wood Harris) who describes himself as a game changer (which is actually foreshadowing his role moving forward). Lucious eventually wins the game and ends up scoring Carlito as a client, but then people come dashing in and rob the place. Lucious gets out of there swiftly and so does Damon Cross. They have a quick exchange where Cross thanks him for looking out and then we realize that Lucious was in on it the entire time. But what we don’t know is where Damon Cross fits in because as far as we know, they’re just meeting tonight. They got a cool few million, but the new problem is Lucious can’t buy the painting back just yet because the person he sold it to sold it to someone else.

Cookie is going to be livid!
The episode winds down with Giselle and TBD stopping by the Lyon Manor saying they have a proposition for him. Lucious lets them in with a smirk on his face and says what we’re all thinking, “This is going to be good.”

Indeed it is.
Then we cut four and a half months after that and see Lucious at the funeral again. The feds are trying to question him and Thirsty is trying to get them to back off. They obviously don’t, and even pull out a photo of a man that Lucious claimed he didn’t know. We see the photo and it’s Damon Cross. It gets worse when the feds says that it looks like Cookie knew Damon Cross quite well, and then we see more photos of Cross and Cookie out and about looking kind of cozy and that’s where the episode ends. Welp, at least we know Cookie isn’t dead. But who would Lucious grieve so hard, unless that’s an act because we know how he does.

#HipHopNews: Lil Wayne Adds Three New Songs To ‘Tha Carter V’ Album Featuring Post Malone And Gucci Mane
Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated Tha Carter V album was finally released to the masses in September, but apparently there's more where that came from. On Saturday (Nov. 10), the rapper released three bonus cuts for the LP that feature Gucci Mane and Post Malone.
Tune teams with Posty on the cut "What About Me." The original version of the Johnny Yukon and DJ Frank E-produced track that appeared on C5 features Sosamann. On this version of the syrupy slow song, Post is present rhyming about a love lost. "I ain't never been no one to let it go (Let it go)/Never thought I'd see you leave me in the cold/Every time that you got mad/You would leave and come right back," he rhymes.

This version of the track was mentioned before but did not make the cut on the original version of the album.
On the song "In This House," Weezy taps Guwop. The tone is totally different and has an "A Milli" feel. Gucci kicks the song off rapping, "Actin' like they killers, but them niggas just some hoes/We act like this a studio, this really just a trap/Everything we got, we had to whip it out the bowl."

Not to be outdone on the Angel "Onhel" Aponte-produced jam, Tune goes hard. "I don't give a fuck, never gave a fuck/'Cause I always knew that a better day'd come," he raps. "Haven't been asleep, seven day run/Never knew how a Chevrolet run/Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Ren, and Dre/I am the new N.W.A."

The final song, "Hasta La Vista," is a solo cut produced by Tay Keith. The buzzing producer provides a lit soundtrack with ominous chords for Wayne to go in on. He tackles the track with a rapid flow. "I like when I'm faded, I'm so innovative/Eatin' pussy at my dinner table, I been gettin' it catered/Get the yayo, got me spendin' pesos, Benjamin tornado/Count my blessin's, this is what we pray for, everyone ain't able," he snaps.

The new songs come right before Wayne is set to appear on Saturday Night Live tonight.

#2016Midterms Florida is headed for a recount vote for  Senator and Governor!
Democrat Andrew Gillum withdrew his concession to Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis in the Florida governor's race on Saturday, hours after the secretary of state announced a recount of their race and two others.

"I am replacing my words of concession with an uncompromised and unapologetic call that we count every single vote," he said with the recount now underway.
Gillum on Tuesday evening had told tearful supporters in Tallahassee, "We recognize that we didn't win this tonight."
But on Saturday, he surprised just about everyone by announcing he would -- in what so far seems to be a mostly symbolic gesture -- change course and wait for more information. An attorney for Gillum told reporters the campaign was not alleging any wrongdoing and had no immediate plans to pursue legal action.

Explaining his decision, Gillum said, "We've learned in various parts of this state that there are still votes that are outstanding. There's even still in parts of this state some uncertainty around the total number of votes that are remaining to be cast."
He did not, however, make any specific allegations or cite any particular episode, but seemed to point to questions over the handling of the vote in counties like Broward and Palm Beach.
DeSantis leads Gillum in the unofficial count by nearly 34,000 votes, with 49.59% to the Tallahassee mayor's 49.18%. If the current machine recount confirms those figures, DeSantis would be certified as the governor-elect pending any potential court challenges.
In a video statement, DeSantis responded without addressing Gillum directly, calling the results "clear and unambiguous."
"With the election behind us, it's now time to come together as a state as we prepare to serve all Floridians," DeSantis said. "Since Tuesday night, that is what I have been doing and that is what I will continue to do in the days and weeks ahead."

Gillum on Saturday also called out recent remarks and tweets from President Donald Trump, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Gov. Rick Scott, who have all complained over the last few days about the late influx of votes and a lack of transparency in the counting process in Broward and other slow-reporting Democratic hubs.
"What has also changed since election night have been the chorus of voices -- from the President of the United States, the junior senator of the state of Florida, and the governor of the state of Florida -- a chorus calling for the ending of the counting in this process," Gillum said.
Trump has been critical of the process in Florida and has repeatedly made unfounded claims of wrongdoing.
After Gillum's campaign announced it would hold a press conference on Saturday and before Gillum stepped up to the podium, the President tweeted: "Trying to STEAL two big elections in Florida! We are watching closely!"

A day earlier, Trump wrote, "Mayor Gillum conceded on Election Day and now Broward County has put him 'back into play.' Bill Nelson conceded Election - now he's back in play!? This is an embarrassment to our Country and to Democracy!"
Gillum responded to Trump's Friday tweet less than 30 minutes later, saying: "What's embarrassing to democracy is not counting every vote — and you, of course. Count every vote."

Scott has also leveled unsubstantiated charges at election officials. On Thursday night, as his lead over incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson narrowed, the governor alleged that "there may be rampant fraud happening in Palm Beach and Broward Counties."
But the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on Friday pushed back on his claim and call for an investigation, saying publicly that there was no active probe because the Florida Department of State had not informed it of any allegations.
On Saturday, the Florida secretary of state's office told CNN that two election observers had been consistently reviewing the election tabulation process -- including in Broward County -- and had found "no evidence of criminal activity."

However nothing is concrete. It’s just convos at this time.

Via The Hollywood Reporter: Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs made the announcement Thursday during the independent studio’s earnings call with reporters.

‘This is How Complications Happen!’ Kenya Moore May Have Jeopardized Her Health with Latest Stunt
After pregnancy complications forced her to deliver early, Kenya Moore should be recovering from her emergency cesarean section. But “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum is instead going out and grabbing some necessities from the store. And the new mom’s actions has fans worried.

Moore made her run to Target Thursday, Nov. 8, and she was careful not to walk around and instead ride a scooter.
“#realVsReality #brooklyndaly came early and the reality is it will take weeks for me to be able to walk without the excruciating pain of a C section and to heal from the multiple cuts to my uterus,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “Needed to get her some preemie items so of course, off to @target we went. My aunt Lisa is so afraid! πŸ™ˆ I’m supposed to be in bed πŸ‘Ώ.”
Many fans demanded Moore, who gave birth to 5-pound, 12-ounce daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly on Sunday, go back home and rest or risk getting an infection or having some other complication.
“Girl auntie Lisa could have done that without u. FaceTime boo! GO LADY DOWN! Your more susceptible to infection and illness than your baby! Go home @thekenyamoore Lol! I know what c-section feels like!!”

“Yes u are supposed to be in bed, if u want to heal properly and quicker, get out of that germy place!”

“This is how complications happen! Send someone else to run your errands or shop online and have them picked up for you! Go home and stay there until you have healed! Your health is nothing to take lightly sis!”
Yet some fans praised the star for getting on the move and told her she’d be OK.
“You’re fine and you’re doing it right. Taking the scooter not walking. I had a c-section and four other kids in my care. Being laid up in bed was not a reality. I healed just fine. Smh.”

“I don’t blame you @thekenyamoore I was the same way with my c-sections. You will be fine. No one knows the way mom brain works after major surgery like one who’s been through it. Welcome to Mommyhood. This is what we do!”

“You’ll be fine .. my twins were premature Wear a really strong binder for abdominal support.”

Meghan Markle's Personal Assistant Just Unexpectedly Quit
There's reportedly some drama in Kensington Palace this week, and no, it's not still about the Queen's tiaras. According to the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle's personal assistant has quit only six months after her wedding to Prince Harry, which came as "a real shock" according to a source.

Apparently Meghan's assistant, referred to as "Melissa," played a "pivotal role" in the royal wedding, and, yes, was one of the people who had to deal with the Thomas Markle drama at the time (as a reminder, Thomas was blabbing to the press and decided not to come to the royal wedding just a few days before the event, so it sounds like Melissa had her hands full.)

There's no word on why one of Meg's key staff members decided to quit, and Kensington Palace has declined to comment on the departure of the PA. That said, if you've always wanted to meet Meghan Markle and Prince Harry/work for them, now might be an ideal time to send in your resume...

Is Rihanna About To Drop New Music?
It looks like Rihanna may finally be gearing up to release new music.
The icon sparked a widespread panic this evening after she uploaded a silent video of herself dancing in a studio to her Instagram stories. Fans believe that Rih was listening to a new track off her upcoming ninth studio album. WATCH HERE

Rihanna has been teasing the follow-up to her critically acclaimed album, ANTI, all summer long since she told fans online that #R9 was coming back in April.

In May, Vogue's Chioma Nnandi revealed that Rih's upcoming record would be a reggae one inspired by Bob Marley. Then, in June, the bad gal confirmed in an interview on U.K. talk show, The Graham Norton Show, that she was in the studio. In July, Rolling Stone reported that the singer has up to “500 records” for the reggae album, and that she is considering also releasing a pop album, too.
The new clip is the latest update we've seen from Rih as of late. Hopefully it means that a new single will be out before the year is over.

The Stars Attend Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC
The 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in New York on Thursday, and several of the models' main men attended the big event to show their support.

Adam Levine, for instance, attended the runway extravaganza to cheer on Behati Prinsloo. The show was a significant one for the 30-year-old supermodel as it marked her first return to the VS catwalk in three years. During this hiatus, Prinsloo gave birth to two children: Dusty Rose (2) and Gio Grace (9 months). So, of course, the Maroon 5 singer had to support his wife's big night.
The Weeknd also attended to root on Bella Hadid. The duo got back together a few months ago after a nearly two-year split and have been inseparable ever since. The couple headed to the show's afterparty hand in hand.
In addition, Dylan Sprouse came to the event to support Barbara Palvin. He even brought her a Shake Shack burger for her to enjoy after the show. Wiz Khalifa also attended to cheer on Winnie Harlow, and the two weren't afraid to show a little PDA on the red carpet.

Of course, the models can always count on each other for support, too.

"All of the girls are like sisters to me, and sisters to us, and that's what's really fun about it," Gigi Hadid said, referencing her little sis. "I think other girls see us and they maybe wish they had a sister, but me and Bella always are taking new sisters on a daily basis."

Congratulations on another great show, Angels!

#NBA: Jimmy Butler traded to the Philadelphia 76ers
The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN.
Robert Covington and Dario Saric are part of the package the Wolves will receive in return.
The 76ers were not on Butler's initial list of teams he wanted to land with, but they were one of several other teams that were said to be interested in the 4-time All-Star.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN.
The Timberwolves will receive Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, and a future second-round draft pick. The 76ers will also receive center Justin Patton.

According to Wojnarowski and Lowe, Butler is expected to sign a long-term contract with the 76ers after the season. Butler has a $19.8 million option for next season, but most expected him to opt-out whether Minnesota traded him or not.
The trade gives the 76ers their version of a "Big 3" with Butler joining Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and instantly gets them closer to challenging the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference.
The 76ers were not on Jimmy Butler's reported list of teams he wanted to be involved in a trade. However, Wojnarowski reported earlier that Philadelphia was one of several other teams that were interested in acquiring the third-team All-NBA player and 4-time All-Star.

The 76ers got off to a slow start to the season, losing three of their first five games. They had played better of late, winning six of eight since.

Hospital Worker Fired After Wearing Confederate Flag Shirt With Noose on Election Day
As racial tensions increase in the United States, undercover racists are becoming more comfortable with showing their true colors – letting their racist flags fly. But, despite the increase, the true American patriots are refusing to condone the hateful rhetoric.
In fact, many go as far as to expose their information on the Internet, in an attempt to get them fired for being racists, hateful pigs, and now, a hospital worker from Mississippi is feeling the wrath of the new generation.

On Tuesday, as the nation came together to vote for the Midterm Elections, in an attempt to take back the power from Trump, Clayton Hickey, of Olive Branch, used the opportunity to promote his racist views with a Confederate flag T-shirt, which featured a noose and the words “Mississippi Justice” written on the front.
A true American patriot took a photo of the hateful shirt on Tuesday, posted it online and within hours, his name and resume quickly went viral, with many calling for his firing and condemning him as racist.
“Clayton Hickey needs to be fired immediately,” one Twitter user wrote. “He cannot be trusted to provide care to ALL patients of #RegionalOneHealth, nor should he be able to be hired by anyone else in a role that is responsible for the well-being of others.”

By Thursday, the hospital, where Hickey served as an EMT, released a statement, announcing his firing.

“Regional One Health is committed to a safe, secure, and comfortable work environment for our patients, guests, employees, and medical staff,” the hospital said, adding that “all allegations of inappropriate behavior and violations of trust involving employees are reviewed and investigated.”

“We understand and appreciate the intent feelings related to this situation, but it is our duty to perform a thorough due diligence to verity the truth.”

“As of today, November 8, 2018, we have completed our investigation and what we learned led to the termination of the employee in question,” the statement continued. “Regional One Health holds employees to a high standard. We are committed to upholding our mission to provide compassionate care and exceptional services to all. This includes fostering a safe and protected work and care environment for all. Behaviors contrary to these principles are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Remember when Trump said he’d be creating more jobs for Americans? Well, maybe he was on to something. As he continues to encourage racists to expose themselves, more jobs are opening up, as each racist gets the boot.
