Zendaya covers INSTYLE Magazine
Award-winning actress, singer and fashionista—Zendaya— is giving me #DonnaSummer realness for the January cover of InStyle Magazine. Inside she opens up about fame and accepting the responsibility of being a role model.
“I’ve had the luxury of watching people do this before me, and I realize that [being a role model] is actually a huge part of the job,” she says. “You sign up for that. You’re being watched. You can choose to accept that and appreciate it, or you can choose not to. That’s 100 percent your choice. I choose to acknowledge it.”
The 21-year-old star of the upcoming P.T. Barnum film, “The Greatest Showman” also gives her two cents about the latest cases of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior in Hollywood.
“The bravery of the women who came forward is a huge step toward making sure it’s safer for me and other young women who are just coming up,” she says. “I’m at that prime age right now. Twenty-one. Starting off. That’s when people take advantage and abuse their power and do terrible shit. I think it’s definitely a sisterhood.”

#RHoA: Is NeNe and Porsha at WAR again, or NOT?
Lordt! They’re at it AGAIN! NeNe VS Porsha in this season of RHOA. But why these 2 seems to be at odds end? What really seemed to start it all was when NeNe appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in April and insinuated that Porsha should no longer be on RHOA. "Before that, I really didn't have any feelings because we hadn't spoken in two years, but when I watched the episode from everybody sending it to me, I just thought she was vicious," Porsha said during a recent appearance on WWHL. "I thought what she was saying was very, just vicious and trying to just damage my character that night."
When Porsha confronted NeNe about this in the Season 10 premiere of RHOA, she denied it, which she also did on WWHL earlier this month. Since then, NeNe and Porsha haven't really resolved their issues. In fact, in the most recent episode of RHOA, NeNe said that she had no plans to hash things out with Porsha anytime soon. Or, as NeNe put it, Porsha is on her "I don't give a f*** list right now," especially with everything else going on with her husband Gregg Leakes' health.
And Porsha actually agrees with NeNe that she and all of the RHOA ladies definitely have more important things to worry about in life than any drama among the ladies. "I was sad to see that and am definitely praying for him, even in the future. That's difficult to deal with. And you definitely don't want to deal with outside drama on top of that, so hopefully she could just clear everything out. Definitely don't be worrying about me, girl. Worry about your husband," Porsha recently told The Daily Dish. "I think that's what we all should be doing. That's what I'm doing. I'm worrying about me and my family and it helps you not be petty in other situations because you don't even want them to build."
Believe it or not, we haven't even seen the worst of NeNe and Porsha's drama yet. When asked if, judging by this season's trailer, things will go from bad to worse between her and NeNe, Porsha agreed, especially during the group's upcoming trip to San Francisco. "That's where it hits the fan, and it gets really bad in San Francisco," Porsha teased.
But that doesn't mean we should consider this friendship over, either. "I think once she cools down — as you'll see through the season, I try to give her space to kind of maneuver and just be me — that we could fall back into that friendship because I have loved her, I know that she has loved me in the past. We called each other big sister, little sister," Porsha shared with The Daily Dish. "I have come back this season with a very open heart. When you've been hurt by a friend or have a situation where you have to lose someone who was really close to you, you want to value the relationships. You don't want to throw anybody away. I mean, I don't want to cross her out like that because I like her, and I care for her. So all I could do is just have hope that we can get back to that place one day because she is super fun."
Well, let's hope these Georgia Peaches can work things out, because they are just too fierce and fabulous when they're together.
Catch up with Porsha, NeNe, and the rest of the ATL crew in Sunday night's all-new episode at 8/7c.
#EMPIRE: Recap: Jamal Lyon Channels Old School Lucious And Beats The Breaks Off His Boyfriend
Jamal delivers major fade after getting devastating news. Empire is back, yay! The Lyons are working hard, trying to get Bella back. Lucious steps up and pays Anika a visit. Bella isn’t home, she’s with her parents in that moment. Anika isn’t really trying to let Lucious in, but you know he does what he wants so he enters anyway. Lucious says he remembers when she would do anything to make Bella the sole heir to the Lyon throne. There’s a tone there, but Anika plays coy and asks what he’s insinuating. What he’s insinuating is that Anika made Rhonda have a miscarriage.
Problem is, they don’t technically have any proof, especially since Rhonda is dead. The latter was an accident, but also Anika’s fault.
Lucious wants Anika to sign joint custody agreement. If she agrees, he’ll make Bella co-heir to Empire with his sons. Anika says she’ll agree to family visits. That seems to be enough for him to settle on for now, but earlier in the episode we learn that the Lyons filed an appeal in the ruling so this is going to get messy all over again.
Warren tries to convince Jamal to have a threesome and Jamal declines at first, but eventually half-heartedly agrees. Warren recruits a tender young thang to make it happen, but Jamal changes his mind again. He says he doesn’t want to do it and that he’s only going along with it because he loves Warren. Warren, realizing he loves Jamal too, sends the guy home.
And Andre’s girlfriend, Pamela the cop, is involved in some drama. She shot and killed someone on the job. The story made the news, but it took a minute for Dre to get in touch with her. When he finally got to see her, he reveals that thinking she was dead made him see that he loved her. She then reveals that she planted a gun on the person she shot. Basically, her shooting that person was excessive so she did what she needed to (aka lie) clear her name.
She tells Dre that she hopes her confiding this info to him will help him begin to trust her.
Riiiiight…this has Dubois Clan written all over it. Issa trap! Sadly, Dre is probably going to fall right into it.
Finally, the episode ends with the Lyon Clan headed to one of the negotiated family visits with Bella. At the same time and place, we see Warren telling Diana that he fell in love with Jamal. She’s disappointed, but not surprised and unbothered because she says Anika is going to help her destroy the Lyon boys.
And then, we see the Lyons walking up to the table because Diana set this all up. Imagine Jamal’s surprise when he sees Warren sitting with her. Diana wastes no time telling them that Warren is her nephew and that he was supposed to take pics of Jamal during the threesome.Warren is copping pleas, trying to convince Jamal that he was for real, and then Jamal blacks out and beats the breaks off Warren. Of course, people nearby pull out their cellphones to record.
That wasn’t planned, but it’s good material for Diana to work with.
We’ll be back next week as this continues dragging on.
#NewMusic: Mya – Ready, Part II (Bedroom Mix)
Veteran r&b singer Mya draws influence from the timeless R. Kelly hit “It Seems Like You’re Ready” for her new song “Ready, Part II” (Bedroom Mix).
The sensual jam is actually a remix of her current single “Ready For Whatever”, which touches on some current production and vocal stylings. However, the remix is all about being slowed down for the bedroom.
LISTEN HERE
The release of the new music comes as a quick turnaround, after Mya independently released her album “Smoove Jones” just last year in 2016. The project was nominated for a Grammy Award as well.
Stay tuned as Mya works towards the release of her next album.
#HIPHOPNEWS: New Music Releases for December 2017
While 2018 may be coming to a close and Christmas is right around the corner, that doesn't mean the hip-hop releases are slowing down. December will bring a number of new projects from some of the genre's biggest stars, including both up-and-comers and veterans.
On Dec. 1, rap vet Z-Ro makes his return to rap after a short retirement with the release of Codeine. The month will also see the return of Eminem and N.E.R.D. Marshall Mathers and N.E.R.D's Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley are dropping their first albums in four and seven years, respectively. Boosie Badazz will also drop his long-awaited BooPac album on Dec. 15, while G-Eazy will release his When It's Dark Out follow-up on the same date.
The end of December will also bring the long-awaited release of Capital Steez's posthumous debut studio album, King Capital. The founder of the Brooklyn-based collective Pro Era sadly took his life in 2012. The project was years in the making and received a release date earlier this year when Joey Bada$$ announced the date during the third annual STEEZ Day Festival.
The final month of the year will also include the collaborative mixtape Bloodas from Tee Grizzley and Lil Durk, as well as Pell's EP, girasoul.
Make sure you cops one of these releases!

#AGAIN! Russell Simmons Steps Down From Companies Following Sexual Assault Allegation
Russell Simmons is stepping down from his companies after being accused of sexual assault by writer Jenny Lumet. In a guest column in the Hollywood Reporter, Lumet accuses the Def Jam co-founder of forcing her to have sex in 1991. In a statement, Simmons said he had a different recollection of their encounter, but said Lumet’s “feelings of fear and intimidation are real.” He apologized to Lumet, who is the daughter of director Sidney Lumet and the screenwriter behind “Rachel Getting Married.”
“There is so much guilt, and so much shame,” Lumet wrote in her column. “There is an excruciating internal reckoning. As a woman of color, I cannot express how wrenching it is to write this about a successful man of color. Again, shame about who I was years ago, choices made years ago. In this very moment, I feel a pang to protect your daughters. I don’t think you are inclined to protect mine.”
For his part, Simmons said, “While I have never been violent, I have been thoughtless and insensitive in some of my relationships over many decades and I sincerely and humbly apologize.”
In addition to his music work, Simmons is a successful film and television producer and the founder of such clothing fashion lines as Phat Farm and Tantris. This isn’t the first time he has been accused of harassment or assault. Earlier this month, model Keri Claussen Khalighi accused Simmons of forcing her to have sex. She said the businessman worked in conjunction with director Brett Ratner to lure her to his apartment. Another woman, Tanya Reid, also accused Simmons of pressuring her to perform oral sex on Ratner. Both men deny the allegations.
Simmons did say the culture is going through “a time of great transition,” and said he did not want to be a distraction from the work of his companies. He also plans to convert a studio he founded for yogic science into a not-for-profit center of learning and healing.
“The companies will now be run by a new and diverse generation of extraordinary executives who are moving the culture and consciousness forward,” said Simmons, adding, “As for me, I will step aside and commit myself to continuing my personal growth, spiritual learning, and, above all, to listening.”
Simmons is the latest high profile figure to become engulfed in a sexual harassment or assault scandal. In recent weeks, Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, and John Lasseter have all been dogged by claims of sexual misdeeds or crimes.
The World Aids Day 2017 theme is ‘Right to health’ – what it’s all about?
Friday 1 December is World Aids Day 2017. This year’s campaign promotes the theme, ‘Right to health’. The World Health Organization (WHO) will highlight the need for all 36.7 million people living with the condition, to reach the goal of universal health coverage by 2030. HIV is a condition which targets the immune system and weakens people’s defense systems against infections and some types of cancer. The virus destroys and impairs the function of immune cells, thus gradually making infected individuals become immunodeficient. According to WHO, 54% of adults and 43% of children living with HIV are currently receiving lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART). More is needed to be done to raise awareness of the condition, however more positively, Global ART coverage for pregnant and breastfeeding women living with HIV is high at 76% .
In 2000, just 685 000 people living with HIV had access to antiretroviral therapy. However, by June 2017, around 20.9 million people had access to the life-saving medicines. The African region also accounts for almost two thirds of the global total of new HIV infections with 25.6 million people living with HIV in 2016. Under the slogan ‘Everybody counts’, the World Health Organization would like people with the condition to be able to gain access to safe, effective, quality and affordable medicines. People around the world are being asked to join the fight to end the isolation and negative stigma surrounding HIV, and help to stop its transmission. The aim is detecting HIV early – this is beneficial so that the individual can gain access to specialist treatments early. How WHO want to achieve universal health coverage: Leave no one behind HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis services are integrated High-quality services are available for those with HIV People living with HIV have access to affordable care The HIV response is robust and leads to stronger health systems In the UK alone there are over 100,000 people living with HIV and around a quarter of them don’t know they’re HIV positive.
Knowing whether you’re HIV positive is essential so that you can access specialist services and treatment. Effective HIV therapy is vital for the well-being of the person affected and helps to prevent them from passing the virus onto others.

LeBron James Cracks Jokes After 1st Ejection Of His NBA Career
Since LeBron James entered the NBA in 2003, he has never been ejected from a game. Y'all know he barely even gets a tech. And plenty of folks say it's becaus eof favortism.
But that all changed. Referee Kane Fitzgerald ejected King James during the match up between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron’s former team, the Miami Heat. Literally 11 minutes after he was ejeced, Bron hopped on Instagram. Ha! First, he liked a post by injured NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The NFLer posted a pic of King James with the caption, “Dreams unfolding.”
Shortly after liking Odell’s post, Bron made his own Instagram post to address his ejection. And what does he do? He cracks a joke!
By the way, the Cavs still defeated the Heat, 108-97.
When the media caught up with King James, he told ESPN, “I said what I had to say and then I moved on, but (Fitzgerald) decided I should get (ejected). It is what it is. We got the win, and that’s what’s most important.”
He's the king for a reason. There's that.
