#RHOA: Kenya Moore Accuses Porsha Williams of ‘Using’ Her for Clickbait
Everyone is still reeling from the ongoing feud between Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kenya Moore and Brit Eady. And now it looks like Kenya feels like Porsha Williams is trying to get into the drama and use her name for clickbait.
Kenya and Porsha have always had a somewhat rocky relationship. And now it looks like war on the heels of the scandal with Brit that led to Kenya to cease filming for RHOA.
Porsha Williams says another RHOA star gave Kenya Moore the Brit Eady pictures
ICYMI, Kenya and Brit had a huge falling out on the latest season of RHOA. Their arguments led to Brit threatening Kenya with comments about her gun. Kenya replied to these threats by exposing compromising photos of Brit at her special event. Everyone was reeling (including RHONY alum Dorinda Medley).
Porsha is getting in on it too. She suggested that a cast member gave Kenya the not just compromising but “underage” photos of Brit. An IG account shared the YouTube clip of Porsha to which Kenya replied that that wasn’t true.
In the clip, Porsha alleges, “There’s a housewife, still on the show, who gave Kenya that ‘nude’ information. I’m gonna expose that sh*t. Everybody needs to know who she is.”
“Absolutely NO ONE on the show gave me anything. Stop using my situation for clickbait” Kenya commented, adding a facepalm emoji.
But Porsha doubled down. She replied to Kenya’s comment saying that she wasn’t being dishonest. “That’s a lie. We talked day and night and I personally went to the network/production and fought for you before you showed her underage explicit pics! I also went after her as well because I was hurt you had to leave. I checked on you because I cared and care.”
Porsha concluded by telling Kenya, “I am not your enemy.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.

#MusicNews: Master P, Boyz II Men, Maxwell To Headline ESSENCE Fest 2025

ESSENCE has announced the first round of performers from their 2025 ESSENCE Fest lineup, and once again, they did not miss.
Boyz II Men, Maxwell, Master P, Davido, The Isley Brothers, GloRilla, Buju Banton, Summer Walker, Donell Jones, Muni Long, and Nas are all set to take the stage in New Orleans alongside Jermaine Dupri, who’s curating a special tribute to the late Quincy Jones.
Presented by Coca-Cola, this year’s ESSENCE Festival of Culture will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and Kenny Burns from July 4 through July 6. Per ESSENCE, the men “will help guide the weekend’s crescendo of sound, soul, and storytelling.”
The theme is “Made Like This,” which “serves as both an affirmation and a rallying cry [as] it speaks to the generations of Black brilliance that have shaped the world and continue to move it forward.”
More performers are set to be announced in the coming weeks. Weekend packages are currently available, and guests are encouraged to download the official ESSENCE Fest app for exclusive offers, real-time updates, and customized schedules.
Last year’s illustrious affair was also historic as Frankie Beverly received his flowers one last time before his passing. Birdman, Janet Jackson, Victoria Monét, Raphael Saadiq, Usher, Charlie Wilson, TGT (Tank, Ginuwine and Tyrese), SWV and more tore down The Superdome with their enthralling performances.
Ursher celebrated 20 years of his magnum opus, Confessions, by performing the LP in its entirety.
NOLA icons Tank and The Bangas, Teedra Moses, and Dawn Richard all put on for their city and Doug E. Fresh, Bilal, Anthony Hamilton, Luke James, and Jagged Edge were among those who honored Beverly.
With those memories still swirling around, we can’t wait to see what this year’s festival will have in store.
Tickets for ESSENCE Fest can be purchased via Ticketmaster.

#HipHopNews: Diddy Searching For Black Female Lawyer To Join Trial Team
Diddy and his attorneys are hoping to add a Black woman to their legal team before his federal trial begins in a just a few short weeks.
The embattled mogul currently has two white men leading his team: Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos. According to TMZ, the new addition would not just be for appearances (as they’ve made the argument numerous times that this case is merely a matter of feds of trying to take a rich, successful Black man down) but they need her to come with her A-game.
They say the two men will still be the lead counselors, but they are looking to add more support.
As of now, jury selection for the trial begins in less than three weeks on May 5, so the clock is ticking. However, Agnifilo and Geragos are asking to push at least two weeks.
In the meantime, Diddy has formally entered a plea in response to the superseding indictment filed against him in his sex trafficking case.
The Bad Boy Records founder appeared in a Manhattan court on Monday (April 14) to answer additional charges of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As expected, Diddy entered a plea of not guilty.
In the third superseding indictment filed earlier this month, prosecutors slapped the disgraced mogul with two further charges, accusing him of using force, fraud or coercion to compel a woman to engage in commercial sex acts between 2021 and 2024.
The indictment also accused Puffy of transporting said woman (identified in legal documents as “Victim-2”) and sex workers to engage in prostitution.
In response to the additional charges, his legal team said: “These are not new allegations or new accusers. These are the same individuals, former long-term girlfriends, who were involved in consensual relationships. This was their private sex life, defined by consent, not coercion.”
Prosecutors have said they expect four accusers to testify against Diddy at trial. It has been reported that former girlfriend Cassie is the most high-profile among them.
The singer, who is “Victim-1” in Diddy’s indictment, is “prepared to testify under her own name,” according to TMZ.

‘Martin’ Spinoff Starring Tommy Davidson Is Officially On The Way
Martin lovers will soon be able to enjoy new original episodes loosely based on the beloved series. A spinoff titled Varnell Hill has been greenlighted by BET+, and the show will be led by actor-comedian Tommy Davidson playing the titular character role.
Deadline exclusively reported on April 15 the upcoming show will see Davidson reprising the beloved character he played as a guest star on the iconic ’90s sitcom. Varnell Hill is co-created and executive produced by Martin co-creator, star, and executive producer Martin Lawrence and Martin executive producer/showrunner Bentley Evans. Jesse Collins also executive produce.
“Did you miss me? Well, now you don’t have to!” said Davidson in a statement. “I’m excited and honored to be a part of such a creative project with the brilliant mind of Martin Lawrence, over 30 years in the making. Fans have requested it and now it’s coming to BET+!”
According to the outlet, Varnell Hill is “a workplace comedy set behind the scenes of the long-running late-night talk show, The Varnell Hill Show.” It will delve into “the chaotic world of television production, the series explores Varnell’s journey to remain relevant in an ever-evolving industry and the corporate dynamics of network executives, business stakeholders, and creative teams involved in the making of the show.”
The forthcoming series has received an eight-episode straight-to-series order and promises to have exciting new characters and celebrity guest cameos
In closely related news, Martin is also set to receive an official prequel series, backed by Martin Lawrence himself. Last July, reports confirmed the forthcoming drama titled Young Martin was in the works courtesy of Lawrence’s production company, RunTelDat, in collaboration with Marvin Peart‘s WonderHill Studios. The show will tell the “origin story centering on Martin Payne, a charismatic teenager navigating the complexities of transitioning from youth to adulthood.”
The influential sitcom aired for five seasons on Fox from Aug. 27, 1992, to May 1, 1997. It took home the win at the 1993 People’s Choice Awards for Favorite TV New Comedy Series, and locked in three victories at the NAACP Image Awards between 1994 and 1995. Most recently, Martin fans were treated with a cast reunion at the 2024 Emmy Awards.

Angel Reese Buys Her First Home at 22,‘So Blessed’

On Tuesday, April 15, the 22-year-old Chicago Sky basketball player announced that she is officially a homeowner.
Angel Reese Says Estimate That Her Net Worth Totals $2 Million Is 'Way Off'
Next to green check emojis, she wrote “Retired my momma” and “Became a homeowner” over a photo of herself smiling as she stood in a kitchen holding a large cutout of a house key.
“All at 22,” she wrote, adding, “So blessed.”
In the bottom right side of the photo, Reese wrote, “Knocked off 2 BIG things off my vision board in the first 4 months of the new year!”
The pro athlete received a ton of congratulatory messages across her social media platforms.
Angel Reese Says the $50K She Won in Unrivaled Was a 'NEED' Because of Her Low WNBA Salary
On X, she seemingly responded to critics who previously questioned her past decisions by reposting her accomplishments from a fan page and adding a couple of messages of her own.
“They said ‘she need to cover up’ so i went cover on VOGUE,” she wrote.
Her message was seemingly in response to naysayers weighing in on her "inappropriate” outfit choices.
Reese added, “they said ‘she can’t afford her rent’ so i went & bought a house.”
The WNBA star found herself at the center of a debate in October 2024 after she shared that her reported $73,439 salary from the sports organization was not enough to cover her living expenses.
"I just hope y'all know, the WNBA don't pay my bills at all," Reese told her followers on X. "I don't even think it pays one of my bills, literally."
Following more criticism about her salary versus her spending habits that same month, Reese shared a tweet that read, "Do y’all not see the collaborations and endorsements Angel has? I’m sure she doesn’t see that 8k leave her account."
"Sister these folks don’t use common sense at all….," Reese wrote in response.
The basketball star and social media sensation has deals with Reebok, Hershey's Reese's Pieces, Beats by Dr. Dre and Good American. She also hosts her own podcast, Unapologetically Angel.
In January 2025, Reese celebrated her mother, "Mama Angel," turning another year older by paying off her mortgage.
“Before we sing 'Happy Birthday,' you said that if your mortgage was paid off that you would retire or you won’t work,” the basketball star told her mom, whose real name is Angel Webb Reese, during an episode of Unapologetically Angel. “You can pick if you want to work still, your mortgage today has been paid.”
After telling her mother that she could still work to keep herself busy if she chose, the athlete added: “That was my biggest goal in life to retire you and pay your mortgage.”

SHEIN & Temu To Adjust Prices Amid Trump’s Tariff Changes

SHEIN and Temu are warning U.S. shoppers that prices are about to rise… and they’re pointing to new tariff policies under Donald Trump as the reason.
In nearly identical messages sent to customers this week, the two Chinese e-retailers confirmed that they will be making “price adjustments” beginning April 25:
“Due to recent changes in global trade rules and tariffs, our operating expenses have gone up. To keep offering the products you love without compromising on quality, we will be making price adjustments starting April 25, 2025.”
The announcements follow Trump’s executive order set to take effect May 2, which will eliminate the “de minimis” exemption that currently allows packages under $800 to enter the U.S. without import duties.
SHEIN is encouraging shoppers to act fast and shop while they can before prices are altered.

Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World
TIME named Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts to the 2025 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. The full list and related tributes appear in the April 28, 2025 issue of TIME, available on newsstands on Friday and now here.
Five-time World Series Champion and baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter crafted the tribute to Hurts.
"We connected shortly after (the Super Bowl), and the only thing he asked about was insight on going back and winning again," Jeter wrote. "Sometimes people win, then exhale. Jalen is not exhaling. He's embracing the next challenge. Win or lose, Jalen's resilience and determination offer all of us something to admire."
After helping guide the Eagles to the franchise's second Super Bowl Championship in February, Hurts became just the seventh quarterback in NFL history to appear in multiple Super Bowls and win one in his first five seasons.
Since 2022, when Hurts was a finalist for the NFL's MVP Award while leading the Eagles to a spot in Super Bowl LVII, he has an outstanding winning percentage of .787, has accounted for 105 total touchdowns (including a league-best 52 rushing scores), and is one of only four quarterbacks with 10,000 total yards and 100 total touchdowns in that span.
An advocate of women's sports, Hurts has surrounded himself with an all-female team of representatives. He has attended the Eagles Girls Flag Football League Championships and participated in a promotional video when girls flag football was made a state-sanctioned sport in Pennsylvania last year. Hurts is the global flag football ambassador for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where men's and women's flag football will debut as medal events.
Last year, Hurts launched the Jalen Hurts Foundation and donated money to install air conditioners in Philadelphia schools through the "Keep it Cool" campaign. He was recognized as the 2024 Philadelphia Citizen of the Year for his community outreach efforts.

Tyra Banks has officially traded the U.S. for a new life down under. During an appearance on “Today with Jenna & Friends,” the former model revealed she’s relocated to Australia with her partner Louis Bélanger-Martin and her nine-year-old son, York Banks Asla, AOL.com reports.
“So I have this ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream,” Banks explained to Jenna Bush Hager. “I’ve been going to Australia a lot because we were making a lot of our ice cream there in this big facility, doing our recipes.”
What began as business trips eventually turned into something more. “I just fell in love with it. Every time I went back, and went back… and the three countries that eat the most ice cream: America, New Zealand, and Australia. So I was like, ‘I’m happy here and they love to eat some ice cream, so, are we going to do this family?’ And we did.”
Banks also gave viewers a peek into her daily routine in Sydney, starting with a 6:30 a.m. coffee and a visit with her son to a beloved local spot.
“This is Tumbalong Park. People come from all over Sydney to enjoy this park,” she shared. “They have what we call a little mini water park. There’s swings and stuff for kids. There’s this new place that they’ve built for the bigger kids that you really can’t get your kid away from. So be careful when you come here.”

Tyra Banks reflected on her decision to leave modelling industry while cohosting the April 15 episode of "Today with Jenna & Friends." In a candid conversation, she admitted she regretted quitting her runway career.
"I was a model and I decided to walk away from the runway and magazines on my terms," she explained. "And it wasn't just about empowerment, it was fear."
Detailing the harsh realities of the modeling industry during her time, she noted, "Because in the modeling industry back in the day, they would kick you out at a certain stage. It was like, 'Goodbye.' "
Banks revealed that she had been offered a three-year contract with Victoria's Secret after a successful ten-year run with the brand. "They weren't age sensitive. They were loving the age and all of that, but I walked away because I was like, 'But y'all gonna kick me out in three years.' "
This fear, Banks acknowledged, prevented her from fully embracing a broader career potential.
The dialogue shifted to the broader issue of women's versatility in their careers. "Because really, I think, what you are saying is that women can do a million different things," Jenna Bush Hager highlighted, a point Banks wholeheartedly agreed with, but admitted she had struggled to grasp at the time.
Banks emphasized the importance of defying expectations and taking leaps of faith. "Just leap and keep going and defy what people are telling you. Now I am," she said.
Despite her stepping away from modeling in 2005, Banks' career did not stagnate; she went on to host and executive produce "America's Next Top Model" from 2003 to 2018, a show that sparked numerous controversies but also aimed to break new ground in the industry.
In a stunning return, Banks graced the runway at the 2024 Victoria's Secret fashion show, showcasing not just her modeling prowess but also her enduring influence in the fashion world.
Reflecting on her legacy at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards, Banks said, "Did we get it right? Hell no. I said some dumb s***." However, she emphasized her pride in the show's impact, "But I refuse to have my legacy be about some stuff linked together on the Internet when there were 24 cycles of changing the world."
Tyra Banks continues to inspire by owning her journey, missteps, and all, while encouraging others to push past their fears and explore all their potentials.

Blake Lively's legal clash with "It Ends With Us" director and co-star Justin Baldoni has escalated into a complex battle of accusations. The dispute has drawn in multiple voices, including former co-stars and crew members, shedding new light on this high-profile case.
The conflict began when Lively, 37, accused Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment in a December lawsuit. Baldoni countered with a staggering $400 million defamation suit, further entangling the lives of Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Storyboard artist Talia Spencer has staunchly defended Baldoni during her appearance on "60 Minutes Australia". She stated, "I feel like maybe Blake smelled his kindness, mistook it for weakness, and tried to take advantage and take power." Spencer added, "I just find it hard to believe the allegations, to be honest."
Co-star Adam Mondschein also spoke out, disputing Lively's claim that his role as her OBGYN in a birthing scene was invasive and humiliating.
"Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever personal garments she chose," said Mondschein. He expressed willingness to testify, asserting that "nothing unusual or improper occurred."
In his lawsuit, Baldoni claimed that Lively and Reynolds tried to "ruin the reputations and careers of the Wayfarer parties." Besides defamation, he accused the couple of attempting to seize control of the film.
Meanwhile, Lively's team described Baldoni's actions as "another chapter in the abuser playbook," aiming to "shift the narrative to Ms. Lively by falsely claiming that she seized creative control and alienated the cast from Mr. Baldoni."
Both parties are now preparing for a March 2026 trial.

J.K. Rowling Attacks Asexuals on International Asexuality Day

J.K. Rowling, the renowned author of the “Harry Potter” series, has once again ignited controversy within the LGBTQIA+ community. On April 6, 2025, coinciding with International Asexuality Day, Rowling took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to post dismissive remarks about asexuality.
Before we go any further, let’s clear something up — because judging by J.K. Rowling’s recent tweet, a lot of people still don’t get it.
Asexuality, or “Ace”, is a valid sexual orientation where a person experiences little to no sexual attraction to others. That doesn’t mean they’re broken, repressed, or “just not in the mood.” It also doesn’t mean they can’t fall in love, be in relationships, or even enjoy sex in certain contexts. Asexuality exists on a spectrum, and every ace person’s experience is different.
Some asexual people identify as aromantic (not experiencing romantic attraction), while others are very romantic. Some are repulsed by sex, others are indifferent, and some enjoy it — but the key point is that their sexual orientation isn’t defined by attraction in the way society typically expects.

Asexuality is recognized by major psychological and LGBTQIA+ organizations as a legitimate identity. And yes, it absolutely falls under the queer umbrella—because being asexual means existing outside traditional sexual norms. It’s real, it’s valid, and it deserves respect.
She referred to the awareness day as “International Fake Oppression Day,” belittling the experiences of the community. In subsequent posts, she questioned the legitimacy of asexuality, suggesting that asexual individuals are merely “straight people who don’t fancy a quickie.”
This incident is part of a broader pattern of contentious interactions between Rowling and the LGBTQIA+ community. In June 2020, after receiving backlash for supporting “gender critical feminist” Maya Forstater, Rowling released a detailed opinion on her views.
She argued that acknowledging transgender identities could erase the concept of sex and, by extension, the lived experiences of cisgender women. These statements led to widespread condemnation from fans, LGBTQIA+ organizations, and even actors from the “Harry Potter“ films, including Emma Watson, who publicly expressed her support for transgender individuals.
Then, in December 2024, Rowling drew backlash after tweeting that “trans kids do not exist,” a statement activists condemned as both dangerous and dehumanizing.
Her comment not only invalidated the lived experiences of trans youth, but also reinforced harmful narratives used to justify anti-trans legislation around the world. Critics, including LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups and mental health professionals, stressed the real-life consequences of denying trans youth visibility and care.
Rowling’s latest comments about asexuality have further strained her relationship with the LGBTQIA+ community. Her remarks contribute to the erasure and invalidation of asexual identities, perpetuating harmful stereotypes and misunderstandings. Given her influential platform, advocates stress the importance of promoting inclusivity and respect for all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Serena Williams Denies Throwing Shade at Drake During Super Bowl Halftime Show: “Absolutely Not”
Serena Williams is opening up about her iconic Super Bowl crip walk, but maintains it was not a dig at Drake.
During a recent interview with TIME, Williams revealed she had “a few shots of tequila” before dancing alongside Kendrick Lamar, but didn’t expect the backlash that followed, including an FCC complaint accusing her of promoting “gang affiliation.”
“I don’t know if I regret it or not,” she admits. “I don’t know the answer to that.”
Many speculated her dance was aimed at ex-boyfriend Drake, especially given his past jabs at her husband, Alexis Ohanian. But Williams shut that down completely: “Absolutely not.”
“I would never do that. And that was sad, that anyone would ever think that. I respect how they could. Obviously I can see how someone would think that. But absolutely not. I have never had negative feelings towards him. We’ve known him for so many years,” she added.
The moment also drew criticism from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who said, “If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**.”
