#RHOA: Ralph Makes a Major Declaration About His and Drew Sidora's Finances: "I Pay…"
Exes Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman's truce on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 certainly didn’t last long.
When we last saw the estranged spouses, they'd just had an amicable discussion about co-parenting during a family football practice with Josiah, Machai, and Aniya. By the time RHOA Season 16, Episode 6 rolled around, however, they were back to their opposing sidelines, as Drew prepared to vacate their family home for a couple days.

"Every first, third, and fifth weekend, I have to leave my house, and Ralph, he gets to come upstairs, basically, to have his parenting time with the kids," Drew explained, referencing a court order stipulating that her estranged husband live separately in the basement while they continue to cohabitate. "It's just all very emotional for me. It's sad, and it's probably the hardest part right now, going through our divorce."

When Ralph emerged for the hand-off, Drew brought up that, "under the order," he was also "supposed to call the exterminator." As they disagreed on the validity of that being his responsibility, the conversation quickly went left.
"I've been covering the exterminator when he came," Drew claimed. "But since my lawyer said it's technically something you're supposed to do, I was like, cool. That just takes something else off my plate 'cause I already have so much on my plate."

Ralph immediately shot back, "Like what? You don't have anything on your plate. You don't pay the bills here."
As he repeatedly asked Drew exactly what she has on her plate, she abruptly ended the conversation, telling him, "We're not getting ready to do that."

In a confessional, Ralph alleged, "Drew doesn't have to pay any bills," adding, "I pay for everything. I'm like, 'You can pay the exterminator bill.' I mean, what is that? 100 bucks? This is typical Drew. But it always causes conflicts with us because that's not how you manage a relationship effectively, [and] that's definitely not how we gonna be able to manage co-parenting."
Though she exited the house before the disagreement escalated, inside her vehicle, Drew fumed that she was "so mad," calling the situation "bulls--t."
"This is just typical Ralph," she added in a confessional. "[He] loves to trigger me, he loves to dance on these nerves. I think, for me, what I've learned is my responses have to be different, and that's what good therapy will do for you."

After her sister, Allison joined her and asked if she was OK, a "flabbergasted" Drew responded, "It's just stupid. Like, we don't have to even argue, we don't have to have this interaction. Whenever I leave, [he's] not even ever upstairs. That was weird... Trying to coparent with this man is impossible."

Where Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman's relationship stands now
While updating her RHOA castmates Kelli Ferrell, Shamea Morton, Angela Oakley, and Porsha Williams on the status of her and Ralph’s divorce earlier in the episode, Drew revealed that she was "getting ready for court," at the time. (Both parties first began legal proceedings to end their marriage in February 2023.)
"The interesting thing is, because we still live in the same house, we are co-existing in a way that feels like we're still like "family" sometimes," she shared with the other women.
Later commenting on her and Ralph's strained relationship in a confessional, Drew added, "I want to hope that we can just be friends one day — but today is not the day."

#HipHopNews: Ye Details His Funeral Plans In BIZARRE Posting Spree
Ye tried to break the world record for posting the most tweets in a single day and made several eye-popping claims in the process.
On Thursday, April 10, the artist formerly known as Kanye West started his day by tweeting about women, sex, and other crude thoughts. He eventually decided to address JAY-Z and apologized for his past disturbing tweets about his wife Beyoncé and their children.

"I’m sorry Jay Z," he began. "I be feeling bad about my tweet but I still feel I gave my life to this industry and thought so many people were my family but when I needed family on some real s**t none of these rap n****s had my back."
Ye made headlines last month after he made some vulgar posts about the mental capabilities of Hov and B's seven-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. His post instantly caused an uproar among fans. There were even reports that the superstar couple was considering taking legal action against Ye for making false claims about their children. Ye deleted the post, but his words still prompted responses from the kids' grandparents Tina Knowles and Matthew Knowles.

Less than an hour after he made his apology, Ye went back into the doghouse after he uploaded a new disparaging post about the couple's love life. "Do Beyoncé ever let Jay get p*ssy I mean like at least a couple times," he asked.
"You just apologized for the previous stunts, don’t pull a new one!!" one user replied.
After he spent most of the day making more offensive posts, Ye decided to inform fans about his funeral plans. He said he wants his memorial plans to last "at least a week long" with a "10 hour service everyday so people can speak aaaall the way through."

"It actually needs be nooo limit," he continued. "Embalm me. Put me on display at my mamas house and let people visit me. Charge people to come in and use the money to enrich all the blocks around."
My funeral needs to be at least a week long
A 10 hour service everyday so people can speak aaaall the way through
It actually needs be nooo limit Embalm me
Put me on display at my mamas house and let people visit me
Charge people to come in and use the money to enrich…
— ye (@kanyewest) April 10, 2025

He continued to post on the website formerly owned by Elon Musk until he was ultimately banned. According to an update rapper Dave Blunts shared, Ye was temporarily barred from using X until he deleted a couple of his offensive posts.
"Welp I guess I'm banned. Alert the masses," he wrote to Dave in a text he posted to his Instagram Stories.

Suspect Cody Balmer in Pennsylvania arson and attempted murder attack says he 'harbored hate' against Gov Shapiro

The suspect in an arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's residence told state troopers that he used homemade Molotov cocktails to set the mansion on fire and that he would have beaten Shapiro with a hammer if he had encountered him inside.
After turning himself into law enforcement authorities, the 38-year-old suspect, Cody Balmer, said that he "harbored hate" toward the governor, according to a summary of a police interview with him filed in court.

Balmer is accused of the latest episode of political violence directed at a U.S. elected official.
Sunday's attack bore similarities with the October 2022 home invasion at the San Francisco residence of Nancy Pelosi, then the Democratic speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. In that incident, a man beat her husband, Paul Pelosi, with a hammer.
Balmer turned himself in to Pennsylvania State Police troopers, according to the police account, and has been charged with attempted murder, arson, burglary, and terrorism intended to coerce "the conduct of a government," among other felonies.
Shapiro, a Democrat who is Jewish, said he had held a seder on Saturday to celebrate the first night of Passover, a major Jewish holiday, with his family and guests in the dining room of the mansion in Harrisburg, the state capital. They were asleep during the arson attack. A state trooper banged on his door around 2 a.m. Sunday morning to rush them to safety.

Balmer told troopers he had filled beer bottles with gasoline from a lawnmower before walking about an hour to reach the governor's mansion, according to the police summary.
Once he arrived, he scaled a fence, smashed the window of the mansion's piano room and threw a Molotov cocktail inside, police said, citing video recorded by security cameras. He then smashed his way inside and ignited the dining room before fleeing, according to the police account.
Balmer, who describes himself as a certified master mechanic on his Facebook page, remained in custody on Monday. It was not clear whether he had a lawyer.

In a March 2021 Facebook post, Balmer expressed his displeasure with high gasoline prices. It showed a picture of himself with the caption "Biden owes me 2 Grand" and a caption that read, "I'm just sayin, Five dollars was gas money when Trump was president."
Violence and assassination attempts against elected politicians in the U.S. are rare, but not unheard of.
During last year's presidential election race, a man used a rifle to shoot President Donald Trump, wounding his ear, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In 2017, a man shot multiple people at a practice session in Virginia for an annual congressional baseball game.
In 2011, Gabby Giffords, then a Democrat representing Arizona in the House of Representatives, was shot in the head, leaving her with a debilitating brain injury.

Shapiro, seen as a potential candidate for his party's presidential nomination in 2028, said at a press conference on Sunday that FBI Director Kash Patel had spoken to him a few hours earlier and promised "all the resources of the federal government" in investigating the attack.
The residence was set on fire hours after Shapiro posted a picture of his family's seder table, which he described as a celebration of going "from slavery into freedom."
"I refuse to be trapped by the bondage that someone attempts to put on me by attacking us as they did here last night," he said on Sunday.
When asked whether the attack could have been motivated by antisemitism, Shapiro said he would defer to the findings from federal authorities and Pennsylvania's district attorney.

Blue Origin Launches An All-Female Celebrity Crew With Katy Perry, Gayle King And Lauren Sanchez
Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin launched his fiancee Lauren Sanchez into space Monday with an all-female celebrity crew that included Katy Perry and Gayle King.
It was the latest wave in space tourism, where more of the rich and famous than ever before — or lucky and well-connected — can enter the zero-gravity realm traditionally dominated by professional astronauts.

The New Shepard rocket blasted off on the quick up-and-down trip from West Texas. The fringes of space beckoned some 65 miles (105 kilometers) up, promising a few precious minutes of weightlessness.
Sanchez, a helicopter pilot and former TV journalist, invited the others along for the 10-minute, fully automated flight, packing on the star power with singer-songwriter Perry and “CBS Mornings” co-host King.
Also sharing the ride were film producer Kerianne Flynn; Aisha Bowe, a former NASA engineer who started her own companies to promote science education; and Amanda Nguyen, a scientist who studied planets around other stars and now advocates for survivors of sexual violence.

Blue Origin declined to say how much the flight cost or who paid what. The trip came two months before Sanchez and Bezos marry in Venice.
It was the 11th human spaceflight for the Washington state-based company, founded by Bezos in 2000 after making a fortune with Amazon. Bezos strapped in for Blue Origin’s first space tourist flight in 2021 and accompanied the latest crew to the pad.

The celebrity launch was the nation’s first spaceflight where women filled each seat. The only other all-female crew in 64 years of human spaceflight was back in 1963. That’s when Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova launched by herself, becoming the first woman in space. Tereshkova spent three days off the planet.
Even after the latest launch, women represent barely 15% of the more than 700 people who have traveled into space. Sanchez said she deliberately chose women to launch with her, each of them eager to inspire both the young and old to dream big, and even commissioned special flight suits.

“It’s an important moment for the future of commercial space travel and for humanity in general and for women all around,” Perry told The Associated Press last week.
The launch brought out VIPs to West Texas including Oprah Winfrey and several women who previously have flown on private flights. Winfrey, a close friend of King, wiped away tears when the capsule reached space and the passengers were heard marveling at the moon and shouting with joy.

This wasn’t the first Blue Origin launch with marquee names.“Star Trek” actor William Shatner caught a lift to space with Blue Origin in 2021 at age 90, soon after Bezos’ inaugural trip. He was followed by former New York Giants defensive end and TV host Michael Strahan and Laura Shepard Churchley, the eldest daughter of Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard, for whom the rocket is named. Two aviation pioneers who missed out on space when they were younger — Wally Funk and Ed Dwight — also rocketed away at ages 82 and 90, respectively.

Most of Blue Origin’s passengers — 58 counting the latest launch — have been business or science types, TV hosts or YouTubers. Ticket prices are not disclosed.
The Russian Space Agency also has launched its share of space tourists, beginning with a California financier in 2001. Two decades later, a Russian actress filmed aboard the International Space Station.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX also sells multi-day trips to private customers. SpaceX’s first client to fly, billionaire tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman already has launched twice and performed the first private spacewalk. He’s now set to become NASA’s next administrator if confirmed by the Senate.
Chinese-born bitcoin investor Chun Wang just returned from the first spaceflight to carry people over the north and south poles. Wang picked up the whole SpaceX tab for himself and three polar explorers for an undisclosed sum.
“In this exciting new era of commercial spaceflight, the dream of becoming an astronaut is no longer limited to a select few,” Wang said via X last week.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Minecraft’ Scores $80 Million it's Second Weekend still #1 at The Box Office!
“A Minecraft Movie” scored a massive $80 million in its second weekend of release and remained at No. 1 at the box office as five new movies opened in theaters.
Ticket sales for “A Minecraft Movie” declined 50% from its record-breaking $162.7 million debut, which represents an impressive hold for a blockbuster of its size. So far, Warner Bros. and Legendary’s PG video game adaptation, starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa, has grossed $281 million domestically and $550 million globally. After 10 days in theaters, “Minecraft” is already the highest grossing film of the year ahead of Disney and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” ($199 million domestic, $410 million globally).

After a terrible start to 2025, “A Minecraft Movie” has been a huge boon for the country’s movie theater operators. Two weekends ago, box office revenues were nearly 11% behind last year and 40% behind 2019, according to Comscore. Now the gap has shrunk to 0.5% ahead of 2024, though still 31% behind 2019. Hollywood is looking at upcoming releases like Ryan Coogler’s R-rated “Sinners,” Marvel’s “Thunderbolts,” Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” and Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” remake to keep propelling year-to-date earnings ahead of 2024.

“‘A Minecraft Movie’ arrived like the cavalry in the wake of a very slow month of March for theaters,” said senior Comscore analyst Paul Dergarabedian. “This is great news in the run up to the start of the summer movie season.”
Among newcomers, “The King of Kings,” an animated faith-based family film from Angel Studios, started strongest in second place with $19 million from 3,200 theaters. Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill and Pierce Brosnan lead the voice cast of “King of Kings,” which follows young author Charles Dickens who narrates the biography of Jesus Christ. Movie critics were mixed (63% on Rotten Tomatoes), but audiences were enthusiastic and awarded a rare “A+” grade on CinemaScore exit polls. Angel Studios, the faith-based distribution company behind “The Sound of Freedom,” incentivized parents with its “Kids Go Free” initiative, allowing children to see the movie at no extra charge with the purchase of one adult ticket.

“The CinemaScore for ‘The King of Kings’ says it all,” said Angel Studio’s head of global theatrical distribution, Brandon Purdie. “The film is one of only 128 to achieve an ‘A+’ CinemaScore. Families want quality films to see together in theaters. This weekend simply reflects what audiences are craving.”

In third place is Disney and 20th Century’s vigilante thriller “The Amateur” with $15 million from 3,400 venues. At the international box office, the movie added another $17.2 million for a global tally of $32.2 million. Those initial returns are on the higher end of expectations, but the Rami Malek-led film cost $60 million to produce, so “The Amateur” needs to stick around on the big screen to justify its price tag. Moviegoers awarded a “B+” grade on CinemaScore, which could help word of mouth. In “The Amateur,” Malek plays a CIA analyst who hunts down the killers behind a terrorist attack that took the life of his wife. Rachel Brosnahan, Jon Bernthal and Laurence Fishburne round out the cast.

A24’s boots-on-the-ground combat thriller “Warfare” debuted at No. 4 with $8.3 million from 2,670 North American theaters. The film, which cost $20 million, was directed by “Civil War” filmmaker Alex Garland and Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza. Based on Mendoza’s experiences as a former Navy SEAL, the film captures in real time a platoon of soldiers as they navigate insurgent territory.

“Warfare” had the best reception among this weekend’s crop of newcomers, earning an “A-” on CinemaScore and 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Part of the draw for younger ticket buyers was “Warfare’s” ensemble, a who’s who of up-and-comers, includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (“Reservation Dogs”), Will Poulter (“We’re the Millers”), Cosmo Jarvis (“Shogun”), Joseph Quinn (“A Quiet Place Day One”), Kit Connor (“Heartstopper”), Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”), Michael Gandolfini (“The Many Saints of Newark”) and Charles Melton (“May December”).

Universal and Blumhouse’s horror film “Drop” rounded out the top five, opening with $7.7 million from 3,085 cinemas. Overseas, the movie misfired with $2 million from 47 territories for a global launch of $10 million. It’s a lackluster start, except that “Drop” cost a modest $11 million, so the movie doesn’t need a whole lot of coinage to get out of the red. From “Freaky” director Christopher Landon, “Drop” follows a widowed mom named Violet (“The White Lotus” breakout Meghann Fahy) who receives mysterious phone messages while she’s on a first date at a restaurant with a man named Henry (Brandon Sklenar from “It Ends With Us”). Whoever is sending them is diabolical; they threaten to kill her son and sister unless she first murders the man across the dinner table. “Drop” has solid reviews for a horror film (83% on Rotten Tomatoes) but only a so-so reaction from audiences (“B” grade on CinemaScore).

“This is a solid opening weekend for a film that has great scores,” said Universal’s president of domestic distribution Jim Orr, who noted that “Drop” overindexed at dine-in cinemas. “Hopefully it has a great run.”

Fathom Entertainment’s “The Chosen: Last Supper – Part 3,” a faith-based TV series about Jesus and his disciples, premiered in sixth place with $6.15 million from 2,296 cinemas. Those returns are decent considering there’s another religious film (“King of Kings”) also in theaters, and they are consistent with initial sales for parts one and two. Fathom is rolling out the show’s fifth season in cinemas with two-week runs of episodes; “Part 1” has grossed $20 million and “Part 2” has generated $11.3 million to date.

Elsewhere, Disney’s “Snow White” remake has tumbled to No. 8 in its fourth weekend of release, earning just $2.8 million from 2,540 locations. So far, the fairy tale adaptation has amassed $81.9 million domestically and $181 million globally to stand as the lowest-grossing (by far) of Disney’s live-action remakes. “Dumbo” previously held that ignominious title with $114 million in North America and $353 million worldwide in 2019.

Deacon Eddie Shed Dies Protecting Others From Shots At Easter Egg Hunt
Mississippi deacon Eddie Shed died a hero on Saturday (April 12) after an Easter egg hunt was terrorized by gunfire.
WLOX reports that 24-year-old Tyran Deion Gable got into a heated argument with the mother of his child at the gathering hosted by Empowerment Ministries Christian Center (EMCC). Witnesses say Gable then shot two people who were attempting to deescalate the situation. One of those people was airlifted to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama. The other was Deacon Shed, who had also served as head of security for the host church. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“He died a hero doing what he does best, and that’s protecting and that’s loving and that’s looking out for everyone,” clergy member Alexis Weathersby told the outlet when speaking on Shed. “He was just a wonderful man that was willing to do any and everything for anyone.”

Shed was protecting the children when the gunfire erupted.
EMCC Senior Pastor, Dr. Gregg S. Magee, Sr., issued a statement on Facebook on behalf of the church about the incident and Shed’s death.
“It is with heavy hearts that we, the Empowerment Ministries Christian Center, address the tragic events that unfolded during our Family Easter Egg Hunt at Prudie Circle Earlier today. Our beloved Deacon Eddie Shed was taken from us in a senseless act of gun violence,” it read.

Magee continued, “Deacon Shed epitomized the virtues of a hero, displaying selfless courage and bravery that ultimately saved others from harm. He paid the ultimate price for his valor, and we are deeply saddened by this loss.”
He was described as “a pillar of strength within our community and a beacon of light and hope,” noting that “his unwavering faith, kindness, and dedication to serving others have left an indelible mark on
all who knew him.”

His family has started a GoFundMe to raise money for his wife, Doris, their three children and any financial burdens that may incur.
Gable, who was also shot and injured, has been arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault. He was not granted bond for the murder charge. However, the judge did set a $250,000 bond for the aggravated assault charge.
The Gulfport Police Department is urging anyone with information about the shooting to call them at 228-868-5959 or Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.

Ts Madison is working with Director Lee Daniels for Biopic Series

Transgender actress/entertainer/talk show host Ts Madison is expanding the platform of her story with a upcoming biopic series. LoveBScott reports the project will confirm rumors the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge will align with acclaimed director Lee Daniels for the project, which will center on Madison’s journey from childhood to years in sex work to her ascent in the entertainment industry

“All those wild stories when I used to tell on the ‘Lipton Tea Hour,’ when I used to sit back and talk about my life, we’re going to be expounding on that,” Madison told Out about the series during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for her TS Madison Starter House.
Daniels will direct the biography series, which Madison announced on Instagram. The filmmaker’s partnership with the trans influencer certifies the Madison’s commitment to telling her story with grit and integrity, LoveBScott notes.
“I’m proud to give it over to him because he’s a queer person, and I wanted it to be told by a queer person,” she said.

In addition to Daniels, Madison revealed a former sex worker is on board for the biopic show as a writer. The move falls in line the entertainer’s “all areas of Black to be involved” mindstate for the project — a Black woman, Black queer, etc.
The biopic venture isn’t the only thing on Madison’s docket.
A documentary is also in the works on the TS Madison Starter House, a reentry residence that supports formerly incarcerated Black trans women.

Madison will collaborate with World of Wonder for the reality TV series, which will highlight healing and growth as its focus.
“I don’t want to see Black skin tearing each other apart; we already have enough of those shows,” Madison commented. “When these women enter the house, I want to focus on their coming-out stories.”
With duo projects occupying her time, Madison’s dedication to spotlighting trans voices while creating uplifting, educational and empowering media shows no signs of slowing down.

News of Madison’s forthcoming biopic series received an excited thumbs up from social media, with users voicing their approval over what the venture will bring.
“Wooooork!!!! I’m so proud of you @tsmadison. The world can learn about your history & your story,“ @trinniflava voiced, while @burtonverna commented, “There is no ‘glass ceiling’ where our Queen?is concerned. She has ‘shattered’ the competition at every turn! WE LOVE YOU TS MADISON.”
At this time, there is not a release date or Ts Madison’s biography series.

Chris Brown And Karrueche Have Friendly Encounter At Coachella

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran were surprisingly spotted laughing together at Coachella, a refreshing moment given their past.
On Saturday (April 12), bystanders caught the two engaging in a conversation and sharing a friendly encounter at the annual music festival. This interaction comes nearly 10 years after the two broke up following serious accusations of domestic abuse.
At the time, Tran accused Brown of hitting her and threatening to “beat the sh*t” out of her, leading to a five-year restraining order that has since expired. Despite the legal history, Breezy’s presence at the festival with the actress and model showed that the two have matured from their tumultuous past.

TMZ caught up with Tran last year and asked for her thoughts on being mentioned in the infamous feud between Brown and Quavo, whom she also allegedly dated. “I don’t feel [anything],” she said at the time. “It is what it is. I’m living my life. Working, paying my bills, taking time for myself and that’s all that matters. Whatever else is going on, I ain’t got nothing to do with it. I’m living a peaceful life. That’s all I want: peace.”

The on-wax feud began when Brown took aim at Quavo in his song “Freak,” claiming that even though he allegedly slept with Karrueche, they were still not on the same level. “Okay, now f**king my old bi**hes ain’t gon’ make us equal/ Sipping that 1942 ‘cause I don’t do no Cuervo [Quavo]/ Freak bi**h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos,” Breezy rapped.
In retaliation, Quavo responded with “Tender,” calling out Brown for his violent history with women and drug use. “You did the bi**h wrong and now the bi**h gone, she posted with a thug/ Call the bi**h phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/ It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug,” Huncho rapped.

The former Migos rapper fired the final shot with “Over H*es & Bi**hes,” which included a posthumous contribution from Takeoff. “Lil’ boy wanna die ’bout some coochie?/ You still f**ked up ’bout Karrueche?/ You tried to beat up Teyana/ But Usher wouldn’t let you do it/ The cocaine got him, your honor/ Bipolar disorder, no wonder/ You was the greatest, ni**a, you fumbled/ Going out sad, I’m watching you crumble,” he rapped.
In a surprising twist, Chris Brown reunited with Teyana Taylor at Coachella after their fallout in 2023. The incident reportedly started at Brown’s birthday party, where he attempted to speak to Taylor, only for Usher to intervene. This led to an alleged altercation between Brown and the R&B legend.

Despite the tension, other footage from the event showed Usher serenading Brown with a birthday song, signaling a moment of reconciliation.
It seems the “Under The Influence” crooner and some of those he’s had rifts with have been able to fully recover.

Spike Lee’s ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ With Denzel Washington Will Premiere in Cannes
Spike Lee‘s new film, Highest 2 Lowest, starring Denzel Washington will premiere out of competition in Cannes, the festival has confirmed.
Lee’s new movie, an English-language reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 Japanese crime classic High and Low, was not part of the official lineup announced by Cannes delegate general Thierry Frémaux and president Iris Knobloch at a press conference in Paris on Thursday morning.

But just an hour after the presser, Lee broke the news himself on Instagram: “Bon Jour. Good Morning. Whaddup ? Da New SPIKE LEE JOINT-HIGHEST 2 LOWEST Starring My Brother DENZEL WASHINGTON Has Been Invited To Da 2025 CANNES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (In The Out Of Competition Category),” Lee wrote with an embroidered article that reads “Highest 2 Lowest 2 Cannes.”
The feature stars Denzel Washington, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jeffrey Wright, Ice Spice and A$AP Rocky and is set to get a theatrical release with A24 before it airs on Apple TV+.

The Cannes Film Festival confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Highest 2 Lowest would indeed premiere out of competition on the Croisette. The festival said they had been waiting for final confirmation that Denzel Washington, who is currently performing Othello on Broadway, would be attending Cannes for the premiere. The film will screen in Cannes on Monday, May 19. Monday is the traditional off day for Broadway, and Cannes confirmed both Washington and Lee will attend the Highest 2 Lowest premiere.

The 2025 competition lineup is packed with auteur heavyweights, including Kelly Reichardt, who returns to Cannes competition with The Mastermind, an art-heist drama starring Josh O’Connor and John Magaro, set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War; Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Trier, who returns to the Croisette after his 2021 triumph (with The Worst Person of the World) with Sentimental Value, also featuring Renate Reinsve; and dissident Iranian director Jafar Panahi, who will be back in Cannes competition with his latest drama, A Simple Accident.

Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson are also set to make their directorial debuts at this year’s fest. Frémaux screened 2,909 features in its selection process, an all-time record.

Colman Domingo supports Eric Dane through health crisis

Colman Domingo has wished Eric Dane well amid his fellow ‘Euphoria’ actor’s health battle. The supportive message comes as the entertainment industry rallies around Dane during this difficult time.

The star’s co-star on the show was recently diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and the 55-year-old actor has now opened up about his shock at hearing Eric’s sad news. ALS affects thousands of people worldwide, with each diagnosis bringing unique challenges to patients and their families.
“I haven’t been able to speak with him yet,” he told People about how he learned of his friend’s diagnosis the same day it was shared with the public. This revelation highlights the private nature of Dane’s health struggle before the public announcement.

Colman added about how he is backing Eric: “I just got the news yesterday too, and I’m wishing him well. I look forward to working with him.” Their professional relationship spans several years on the critically acclaimed HBO series.
Colman plays Ali in ‘Euphoria’ – a mentor to and sponsor for Zendaya’s drug-addled character Rue, while Eric plays troubled Cal Jacobs, the patriarch of the Jacobs family. The show has garnered significant praise from critics and audiences alike since its debut.

‘Euphoria’ was renewed for a third season in February 2022, and production began just two months ago. The series has developed a devoted following for its unflinching portrayal of teenage life and complex character development.
Eric, 52, revealed his ALS diagnosis in an exclusive interview with People on Thursday (10.04.25.) The announcement came as a shock to fans and colleagues alike, generating an outpouring of support across social media platforms.

“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” he said. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter. I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of ‘Euphoria’ next week.” His determination to continue working has been praised by many in the entertainment industry.
The rare and progressive disease causes paralysis of the muscles, affecting speech, walking, and other motor functions. Medical research for ALS continues as scientists work to better understand and treat this challenging condition.

Eric has two children, Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13, with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart. The couple has been married since 2004 and has faced previous challenges together publicly.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is an illness that typically leads to progressive loss of muscle control, including the ability to speak, eat and breathe. The disease is named after the famous baseball player who brought public attention to this condition.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association estimates those diagnosed with the condition usually live three to five years after their diagnosis, though some patients survive for decades. Ongoing research aims to improve treatment options for those affected.
Other celebrities diagnosed with ALS include Aaron Lazar, John Driskell Hopkins and Stephen Hawking. Hawking’s case is particularly well-known for his remarkable longevity while living with the disease.

Eric is set to return to Euphoria for its third season, with filming scheduled to resume on Monday (14.04.25.) The production team has reportedly made accommodations to ensure Dane can continue his role.
He also recently completed work on the Amazon crime drama series ‘Countdown’. The show is among several projects Dane has been involved with outside of his work on Euphoria.

Fans can expect more drama for his character, Cal Jacobs, in the new ‘Euphoria’ series as Eric has hinted at a potential redemption arc following his character’s arrest at the end of season two. This storyline development was planned before his diagnosis.
“There’s gonna be redemption… I can’t imagine Cal’s life from solitary confinement. It’s tough to work Cal into the storyline when he’s behind bars,” he told Variety about the upcoming series. The creative team continues to develop compelling narratives for all characters as the series progresses.

The third season of ‘Euphoria‘ is highly anticipated by fans worldwide, who have been following the show’s development closely since the conclusion of the second season. The series continues to explore challenging themes while showcasing the talents of its ensemble cast.

Beyoncé teams up with collaborator Willie Jones in Levi's ad ahead of 'Cowboy Carter' Tour
Beyoncé Knowles Carter released a new campaign video for her lastest collection with Levi's Jeans, and it features none other than "Cowboy Carter" collaborator Willie Jones.
In the video, Jones is seen with Beyoncé as she struts in her denim shorts inside a diner. Jones is featured on "Just For Fun" on Beyoncé's eighth studio album. In the ad, the diner's menu makes a nod to Beyoncé's previous collections with Levi's, including "Pool Hall" and "Launderette," with a B's combo special and more. The "Chapter 3" collection is now live on the Levi's website.

In an Instagram post about the collection, Beyoncé shows off her curves, giving fans more outfit inspiration for her upcoming "Cowboy Carter" tour. She poses in denim shorts paired with a denim shirt and a white tank. Many fans left comments pointing out just how fierce the diva looked.
As fans know, Beyoncé first announced her collaboration with Levi's in September. She followed up the announcement by teasing her first drop, "Chapter 1: Launderette," in a cheekily nostalgic ad. In the video, the "Cowboy Carter" creator strips down as she recreates the brand's 1985 "Launderette" commercial, which featured model Nick Kamen in his underwear.

She later announced the second chapter of Beyoncé's and Levi's "Reimagine" campaign titled "Pool Hall." In that video, which is a nod to Levi's 1991 ad of the same name, Yoncé rocks a denim-on-denim look as she faces actor Timothy Olyphant in a high-stakes game of pool. Of course, the clip is set to Beyoncé's 2024 song featuring Post Malone, "Levii's Jeans" from her eighth studio album "Cowboy Carter."
The second drop came on the heel of Beyoncé announcing her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour, and now the tour is fast approaching.

It will kick off April 28 in Los Angeles and include 32 stadium shows across the U.S. and Europe. Since the initial announcement, Beyoncé has added a handful of concerts including final shows in Las Vegas. She's also set to make history with her scheduled tour dates.

Wendy Williams is Allowed to Have Dinner with Don Lemon

Last week former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams was barred by her court ordered guardian from having dinner with her new high-powered personal attorney Joe Tacopina.

The very next day Wendy was allowed to get to dinner with former CNN anchor Don Lemon....
Wendy was all smiles Thursday night in NYC, as she was granted permission to go out to dinner with her niece Alex Finnie, Don Lemon, and his husband Tim Malone. The foursome hit up Italian eatery Il Cantinori in Greenwich village, and it's no wonder Wendy looked so happy -- because just 24 hours earlier, the guardianship refused to let her leave the facility.
TMZ broke the story ... Wendy was less than an hour from a Wednesday night dinner reservation when her guardian blocked her from leaving. While Wendy wasn't told why she couldn't go, it's looking clearer now.

On Wednesday, she was going out to eat with her niece ... and also powerhouse attorney Joe Tacopina -- he's now Wendy's personal lawyer, and intends to push hard to end the guardianship.
As we reported, Wendy's guardian, Sabrina Morrisey, had her lawyer send TMZ a letter ... claiming Wendy is free to leave the facility to see family whenever she wants -- so, Wednesday night's denial seems to fly in the face of that.
The only difference between Wednesday and Thursday ... the presence of Mr. Tacopina, who's gotta be feeling like the guardianship doesn't want him conferring with his client ... especially after he rejected the guardianship.

Mickey Rourke Speaks Out After Dramatic Exit From 'Celebrity Big Brother UK'
Following his dramatic departure from "Celebrity Big Brother UK", Mickey Rourke addressed his "inappropriate language" and "unacceptable behavior" that led to his exit. The 72-year-old former boxer admitted to having a "short fuse."
In an episode airing Sunday, April 13, Rourke referred to himself as a "work in progress." He confessed, "I stepped over the line. I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life."

The trouble began almost immediately when Rourke made his entrance on the show, starting with his overly-friendly interaction with host AJ Odudu before he later made homophobic remarks about fellow housemate JoJo Siwa and got into a heated exchange with another contestant Chris Hughes.

Rourke's controversy was not limited to the U.K. reality show. Just before he was booted from the show, former co-star Bella Thorne took to social media to accuse him of misconducts on set of their 2020 movie "Girl".

"He's supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again," Thorne recalled one particular unpleasant experience with Rourke. "So many gross stories of things he made me go through on that movie."
When Mickey Rourke made offensive comments about JoJo Siwa, he was only given a formal warning. It wasn't until Bella Thorne stepped forward with her damning allegations and Rourke repeatedly showed inappropriate conducts that the producers decided to kick him out.

In his remorseful confession, Rourke expressed regret and recognized his shortcomings. "I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there," he said, emphasizing his ongoing battle with self-control and anger.
While he owned up to his mistakes on the reality show, his rep vehemently denied the accusations launched by Bella Thorne. "These allegations are extremely serious. Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any intentional misconduct," they said.

Snoop Dogg's Death Row Records is Dropping a Gospel Album This Month
More than 34 years removed from defining gangsta rap as we know it, Death Row Records is taking us to church. Today, Snoop Dogg, who acquired the label he helped popularize, in 2022, taps in with Okayplayer to announce Altar Call, a new gospel album dedicated to the memory of his late mother. Its first single drops this Friday.

The new album, which Death Row says will blend gospel with R&B and hip-hop, is all set to drop on April 27. While the move might seem random, folks who’ve paid attention know Uncle Snoop’s always had an ear for gospel. In 2018, he unloaded his own solo gospel album, Bible of Love. Now, Death Row is releasing what’s essentially a sequel — a collaborative effort derived from the spirit of the good book. And Snoop’s late mother, Beverly, who passed away in October 2021. It’s an imprint that’s there thematically, symbolically, and literally; her face adorns the cover of the album.

“The spirit of my mother will forever live within me,” Snoop tells Okayplayer, exclusively. “This album is a reflection of what she has taught me — to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world. Just another chapter out of the Bible of Love."

El Salvador’s President Refuses to Return Deported Maryland Man, Says U.S. Can’t Force Him

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele made it crystal clear: he won’t be returning Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who was wrongly deported to El Salvador, back to the United States.
Sitting beside Donald Trump during a meeting Monday, Bukele pushed back hard against the idea that his government should help undo the deportation, calling the suggestion completely unrealistic
“How can I return him to the United States? Am I going to smuggle him? Of course I’m not going to do it,” Bukele said, bluntly dismissing the idea. “The question is preposterous.”

Garcia, a Maryland resident, was deported by U.S. immigration officials under circumstances that are now being widely questioned.
But during Monday’s discussion, Trump administration officials admitted there’s no legal way to force El Salvador’s hand on the matter. That leaves Garcia in a legal and diplomatic limbo, and sparks a fresh debate over how immigration enforcement is handled when things go wrong.

For now, Garcia remains in El Salvador, and it’s unclear whether or how he’ll be able to make his way back to the United States.
