#RHOA: Phaedra Parks' Son Ayden Attends First Sadie Hawkins Dance

Entrepreneur and reality TV star Phaedra Parks marked a significant milestone for her eldest son, Ayden, by sharing a proud moment on Instagram.
The 15-year-old, dressed to impress, attended his first Sadie Hawkins dance. Ayden, one of two sons Parks shares with ex-husband Apollo Nida, has grown up in the public eye on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fans witnessed his birth and childhood on television.

Parks, who shared her parenting journey with People in 2016, revealed that Ayden and his younger brother, Dylan, showed an early interest in the industry. While Dylan enjoyed being in front of the camera, Ayden loved the technical side.

“Ayden is very interested in the running of the cameras,” Parks shared, joking that “he thinks he can produce the show!”
Phaedra Parks thanks ‘boy moms’
In her Sadie Hawkins post, Parks thanked the support of fellow “boy moms” who have been part of Ayden’s journey, including close friends who’ve offered prayers and assistance with school pickups.

Ayden posed with his mother, who wore an all-black ensemble and a bright smile. He wore an emerald green suit with a light pink button-down underneath.
Parks affectionately referred to Ayden as “the Prince” and shared her joy in seeing him attend the dance with a “sweet and adorable young lady.”

“Many of you watched me carry this blessing and birth him on television. He has grown up right before your eyes! One of my close girlfriends @lavondawrightmyers called me today and we prayed over our sons and I am so grateful for all the #boymoms who have prayed with me and helped me with pick ups and drop offs especially @juliadunham8210 over the years! Ayden (the Prince) attended his first #PDC dance aka Sadie Hawkins with the sweetest most adorable young lady💕😍💕. It hasn’t always been easy because parenting doesn’t come with a handbook, but #GOD has ALWAYS seen me through 🙌🏽💃🏾 #grateful 🙏🏽 #proudmom.”

The proud mom and RHOA star is always striving to help her children achieve their dreams.
His 13th birthday gift came in the form of $150,000 from his mother since Ayden is into finance and business.
“He’s worked with my wealth managers and invests in Bitcoin and crypto,” she told People.

“He said for his birthday he either wanted a dirt bike or a way to make money. And so I said, ‘Well definitely not gonna give you a dirt bike to kill yourself. I will give you $150,000 for you to buy a piece of property,'” Parks said. “And so now he’s basically trying to figure out if he wants to do a little multi-unit duplex, you know, [start] his own little rental properties.”

#HipHopNews: 50 Cent and Joe Budden SQUASH their Beef at a New York Knicks Playoff game!

50 Cent and Joe Budden look to finally have squashed their beef after going back and forth in recent months.
The two hard-headed New Yorkers have been exchanging heated remarks on social media over 50’s mocking of Irv Gotti’s death.
But thanks to running into each other during the New York Knicks’ playoff game against the Detroit Pistons, they appear to be friends.

50, who was sat next to Fat Joe, was spotted on the arena’s jumbotron and eagle eyed fans realized that Budden was sat behind them.
While fans initially speculated what came of the encounter, 50 quickly clarified that all was good between the two.
He posted the viral image of the two of them on the big screen and wrote on Instagram: “I ran into Joe at the game he said I don’t need Therapy No MORE!”
A fan also took a picture of 50 and Budden enjoying a warm embrace at the game though the podcasting star has yet to comment on the apparent reconciliation.

The war of words between 50 and Budden has been going on for much of the early part of the year.
Fif last took a shot at the former Slaughterhouse rapper in March, mocking him for things he said about his dog.
In the video, which dates back to 2020, the “Pump It Up” MC says: “Why do I always wanna make the dog feel good by playing with their fucking privates? … Anybody with a pet — come on, you did a little something down there to make your dog feel good.”

Fif tore into Budden for the weird confession, writing in the caption: “Wait a minute, Joe you need therapy something is not right. You touch your pet sexually, master bate so often you need travel lube and sleep walk naked out side of your home. You should have to register as a sex offender.”

50 also tagged animal welfare charity PETA.
Issues between the two originally erupted when Joe Budden claimed that 50 Cent needed to go to therapy for mocking Irv Gotti’s death.
In response, 50 mocked Budden over his recently dismissed stalking and lewdness case after he was allegedly caught walking naked in his apartment building.

Kanye West reveals childhood incestuous relationship with his male cousin
Ye's recent social media posts have created a stir. He revealed unsettling details about his childhood. These revelations included claims about a relative. He also discussed the inspiration behind his new song. The song is about his cousin's incarceration for murder. The posts have triggered backlash and concern. Many are questioning Ye's mental state.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, has sparked controversy after sharing details about a childhood experience involving a relative, alleging he had a sexual relationship with his cousin until he was 14. The American rapper claimed that the experience inspired his upcoming song "Cousins," which is about his cousin who is in jail for life for killing a pregnant woman.
He made these claims in an April 21 post on X, formerly Twitter, prompting immediate backlash, concern for his mental health, and discussions about childhood trauma and accountability. The post also included disturbing details about his youth and exposure to inappropriate content, leading to widespread discomfort and calls for sensitivity and professional help.

Ye shared that his new song "Cousins" is about his cousin who is incarcerated for the murder of a pregnant woman.
"This song is called COUSINS," Kanye said in an April 21 post on X (formerly Twitter) teasing the new track, "about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn't 'look at dirty magazines together' anymore."

Philadelphia Eagles Star A.J. Brown's Stolen Car Reportedly Found, Suspect Arrested

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown's stolen car was reportedly located on Monday, and a suspect was arrested, just hours after the NFL star issued a cryptic message to the alleged thief on social media.
Fox 29 Philadelphia reported on Monday that Camden, New Jersey police found Brown's car and took a suspect into custody.

Prior to the arrest, Brown took to his Instagram story to talk directly to the thief after his car was reportedly taken on Sunday night.
"You stole my whip last night," he began. "I'll make a deal with you, to whoever you are, which I'm gonna find out soon. Just bring the whip back. I won't press charges... But if I find you, it's gonna be what it's gonna be.

"You smooth with it, though," he continued. "You pulled up at 3:42, you got out of there at 3:45. You fast on your feet. I'm gonna show you how fast I can be... We know where you at right now."
This is not the first time Brown has made headlines for his social media output. In 2023, his IG clapback to Kansas City Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who Brown memorably referred to as "Tik-Tok boy," garnered attention.

LeBron James Seemingly Responds To Kevin Gates’ Remarks About Savannah James
LeBron James isn’t one to let petty remarks slide, and he made sure to address Kevin Gates’ recent comments about his wife, Savannah — well at least that’s what we think.
After the rapper shared some “late-night” thoughts on Instagram, questioning the way Savannah looks at her husband versus how “white women” supposedly react to him, the NBA legend‘s response was both smooth and unbothered. “Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,” he wrote on Sunday (April 20) followed by a playful, “Where to next Queen?!?! Let’s get it!”

Mrs. James also didn’t leave the moment unnoticed. The self-assured wife of the Lakers player took to social media, posting a Nicki Minaj reaction clip from 2019 where the rap queen shrugged off the negativity: “What? Um—chile, anyways, so.”
In a three-minute clip posted on his Instagram, Gates aired out his feelings on how Savannah allegedly behaves around LeBron. In the video, Gates expressed that he wasn’t feeling the way Savannah looks at her husband, even going so far as to compare her to a “jail warden.” He pointed out the contrast between how the women in the crowd, particularly white women, react to LeBron, saying they’re “d*cked out” by his presence.

Gates went on to describe moments during games when LeBron is exchanging handshakes with teammates, feeling as though Savannah’s energy comes off like a cop on duty rather than a “supportive wife.” He added, “You act like I’m bothering you, b*tch. Like, I’m the greatest player in the world — one of them … And I’m in the playoffs, and you act like the warden of the jail.”

He doubled down saying that people might hate on his words, but suggested that Savannah “dive on the floor behind that ni**a” to show her passion for him. Despite Gates’ remarks, LeBron and Savannah have kept it classy and cute.

Amazon Cancels Norman Lear’s Final Series ‘Clean Slate’ (George Wallace and LaVerne Cox) After One Season

*Amazon Prime Video has canceled “Clean Slate,” the last completed television project by the late TV icon Norman Lear, just weeks after its February 6 premiere.
The news was shared by stars Laverne Cox and George Wallace, along with co-creator Dan Ewen, in a heartfelt guest column for Deadline. Describing the show as a “labor of love” and the product of a seven-year journey, the trio lamented its sudden end, writing it “was gone in a puff of server exhaust.”

“Clean Slate” centered on Harry, a traditional car wash owner in Alabama, played by Wallace, who reconnects with his estranged child, now living as Desiree, a trans woman portrayed by Cox. The show tackles themes of identity, acceptance, and second chances, balancing its emotional depth with Lear’s classic approach to socially conscious comedy.

“Ultimately, this show is about love, this show is about family,” Cox previously explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s about figuring out how to connect across generations and experiences.”
Lear, who passed away in December 2023 at 101, was known for shaping American television with shows like “All in the Family” (1971–1979), “Maude” (1972–1978), “Sanford and Son” (1972–1977), “The Jeffersons” (1975–1985), and “Good Times” (1974–1979). His legacy of blending humor with social commentary lived on in “Clean Slate,” which Cox described as “very much a tribute to the legacy of Norman Lear.”

Cox of Laverne Cox Productions, Wallace, and Dan Ewen served as creators and executive producers of the series, with Lear and Brent Miller executive producing.

“Clean Slate” was praised for its heart and purpose. Its abrupt cancellation has sparked disappointment within the LGBTQ+ community.
“Thank you to everyone who laughed and cried with us,” wrote Cox, Wallace, and Ewen in their Deadline column. “Thank you to everyone who told us our show was exactly what you needed to see and feel during this dark time. We will be conducting a folksy awards campaign, so keep your eyes peeled for our bake sale. “For Yo’ Momma’s Consideration” ads are being prepared.”

The trio added, “Conversations will continue about where and how Desiree and Harry’s journey might continue. We would love to further the echo of Norman’s voice. We will push to keep the story alive, for the sake of the kind of people portrayed in it, the kind of people being legislated out of existence, or erased from history books.”

‘The Bodyguard’ Remake Producers Reportedly Want To Cast Kim Kardashian As Lead
News about The Bodyguard remake has both fans and producers tossing out some questionable choices as far as casting is concerned. The newest leading lady reportedly up for consideration is Kim Kardashian.
Per Daily Mail, “There have already been multiple meetings and the script has been written with Kim in mind.” A source also claimed, “Everyone immediately assumed Taylor would get the lead, the role played by Whitney Houston in the original film, because The Bodyguard remake is being directed by Sam Wrench who directed the 2023 film about Taylor’s Eras Tour. But Warner Bros, the studio remaking the original, is very keen on Kim.”

This would mark the Skims founder‘s onscreen debut in a starring role.

The source also told the outlet that the reimagining may not be a “musical,” making the need for the lead role to be a singer optional.
“Everyone is assuming the remake will be a musical, but there has been talk of making a sequel for years and most of the talk has been about taking it in a different direction, using a global celebrity but not necessarily having it as a musical, more a straightforward drama. Let’s face it, how can you top Whitney?” the outlet claimed.

An anonymous Warner Bros. source alleged that Kardashian was “always the person attached to this project.” Another name that was optioned for the leading role was Taylor Swift, but it was the fans that mentioned she’d be “perfect for the part.”
This person quipped, “Of course no one would ever count out Taylor if she was interested in the role. Let the battle of the divas commence!”

Kardashian is reportedly thrilled about the potential role considering she’s expressed great desire to pursue acting seriously following cameos in Ocean’s 8 and American Horror Story.

Duke star Cooper Flagg declares for the NBA draft

Duke star Cooper Flagg has declared for the upcoming NBA draft after one season with the Blue Devils, both he and the school confirmed on social media.
Flagg said in an Instagram post: “Duke has always been a dream for me, but I’m excited to announce that I’ll be entering my name into the 2025 draft.”

Duke basketball posted a succinct message on its social media: “League next. Duke forever. Thank you, Cooper Flagg!!”
Despite entering the college game at just 17, Flagg cemented himself as one of the top players at that level and why he’s thought to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA draft. He turned 18 in December, about a month after the season started.

Although Duke fell short in their hunt for a men’s national championship title – losing in the Final Four after Houston made a dramatic comeback in the final minutes – Flagg himself impressed, being named first-team All-American and named National Player of the Year in five of the six awards recognized by the NCAA.
In his one season with the Blue Devils, the Maine native played 37 games, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.

“Duke fans, my teammates, the brotherhood, everybody that was along for this journey, it was an incredible year, probably the best year of my life and I have so much gratitude and I feel so blessed for all the opportunities I was given,” he said on Instagram.
Flagg, who stands at 6-foot-9-inches and plays both guard and forward, could be a vital asset to any NBA franchise with his combination of height, size and ball handling skills.

Flagg will be heavily coveted in the draft. His one and only season at Duke displayed his defensive tenacity, guarding both guards and big-men alike. He previously had been a five-star prospect out of Montverde Academy in Florida.
Flagg made college basketball history in Duke’s 70-67 defeat to Houston in the NCAA tournament semifinal. With his 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals, he became the first player, since defensive stats became official in 1986, to lead a team in all five categories in a Final Four game.

“Today’s just the beginning, but I have that brotherhood with me for life,” Flagg said.
The 2025 NBA draft lottery will be held on May 12 where teams that missed the playoffs will find out which picks they have and who will have the opportunity to select Flagg.

Pamela Goodwine Makes History as First Black Woman on Kentucky Supreme Court
Justice Pamela Goodwine has made history as the first Black woman elected to the Kentucky Supreme Court. She was officially sworn in on April 18, 2025, during a ceremony in Frankfort attended by a large audience, including her family and fellow justices, according to reports.
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Urges Educators to Teach Nation’s History Of Racism

In her address, Justice Goodwine reflected on her journey, emphasizing the values of faith, education, and perseverance.
She shared her philosophy: "I don’t give up on my dreams when life gets hard; I simply work harder to make my dreams come true."

Significant personal challenges marked Justice Goodwine's path to the bench. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she spent time in foster care before being adopted. She was a high school valedictorian who deferred a college scholarship to care for her adoptive father during his illness. Tragically, after her father's death, her mother was killed. At 24, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, leading to a prolonged hospitalization and rehabilitation.

“I always say I don’t give up on my dreams when life gets hard, I simply work harder to make my dreams come true,” she said. “If there is one philosophy and action I would like to be known for and for you all to recognize and live by as well, that is it. No matter what life brings your way, keep dreaming, keep working for your goals.”

Her legal career began as a legal secretary and court stenographer. She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kentucky. Justice Goodwine served as a district judge in 1999, a circuit judge in 2003, and was elected to the Kentucky Court of Appeals in 2018. Her election to the Supreme Court marks her as the first woman in Kentucky to serve at every level of the judiciary.

During the investiture, fellow justices praised her resilience and dedication. Justice Angela McCormick Bisig highlighted the importance of diverse experiences on the bench, stating that such diversity enhances the court's understanding and compassion. Governor Andy Beshear acknowledged the significance of her achievement, noting that while it's a cause for celebration, it also underscores the ongoing journey toward equality in the nation's history.
Justice Goodwine's investiture not only marks a personal milestone but also represents a broader step toward inclusivity and representation within Kentucky's highest court.

'Ghostbusters' Star Ernie Hudson Joins 'Toy Story 5'

"Toy Story 5" is having a new addition to its cast member. The character Combat Carl, initially voiced by the late Carl Weathers, is set to return in the upcoming fifth installment.
Stepping into the role is none other than Ernie Hudson, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Ghostbuster Winston Zeddemore. The film is scheduled for release on June 19, 2026.
Combat Carl, a G.I. Joe-inspired action figure who first appeared in the "Toy Story Halloween" special "Toy Story of Terror!" in 2013, is a loving homage to Weathers' numerous action roles.

Ernie Hudson, no stranger to voice acting, has also lent his voice to characters in "Transformers: Prime," "Infinity Train," and "Star Wars: The Bad Batch."
Fans will also see the return of series stalwarts Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, reprising their roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. After their parting at the end of "Toy Story 4", Woody and Buzz are set to reunite.

The new sequel, directed by Andrew Stanton - who helmed "Finding Nemo" and "WALL-E" - will be his first time directing a "Toy Story" film, though he has written all four previous installments.
The plot details for "Toy Story 5" are sparse, but what has been teased is anything but mundane. The toys are expected to face off against an army of Buzz Lightyear figures and delve into themes of technology replacing the traditional function of toys in kids' lives.

It's also rumored to put spotlight on cowgirl Jessie, voiced by Joan Cusack, in a significant way, and further explore Buzz and Woody's renewed alliance following Woody's departure with Bo Peep.
The new additions to the cast roster also include Anna Faris in an as-yet-undisclosed role. The combination of returning favorites and new voices promises to bring a fresh dynamic to the beloved franchise.

'Tiger King' Star Joe Exotic Marries Fellow Inmate In Prison
Tiger King" star Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, has announced his wedding to fellow prison inmate Jorge Marquez. The 62-year-old reality TV star shared the news via a heartfelt post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, April 22.
"Never been more proud of someone," Maldonado-Passage captioned a photo of himself and Marquez. "Meet my husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado."

This wedding came months after Maldonado-Passage hinted in October 2024 at his plan to marry Marquez following their engagement in prison. "He is so amazing and is from Mexico," Maldonado-Passage wrote on X at the time.
"Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we [will] be leaving America when we both get out," he continued. "Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago."
Maldonado-Passage currently serves a 21-year prison sentence. His conviction stems from a 2019 case involving a murder-for-hire plot against his animal rights activist rival, Carole Baskin. Initially sentenced to 22 years, his term was reduced in January 2022.

Maldonado-Passage was previously married to Travis Maldonado from 2015 until 2017 when Travis tragically passed away in an accidental shooting. He then married Dillon Passage two months later, though that marriage ended in 2021.
The unconventional wedding inside prison walls has led Maldonado-Passage to express hopes for his future with Marquez. Maldonado-Passage previously credited Marquez for making significant impact on his life.

"He has gotten me through so much fighting cancer under these conditions," he wrote before adding a hopeful plea to former President Donald Trump, "All I pray to God for is Trump [to] allow me to enjoy a little life outside with him before it's too late. I love you, Jorge. You are my life. @realdonaldtrump."
Whether or not he and Marquez will get the opportunity to build a life outside of prison remains uncertain, but for now, their love story is a testament to finding hope in the most unexpected places.

Tyla Denies Britney Spears Inspiration at Coachella: “Love Her, But No Inspiration”
Tyla is setting the record straight with a flick of her hair and a strut that says “I said what I said.” After her head-turning look at Coachella 2025 sparked comparisons to Britney Spears’ 2001 MTV VMAs outfit, the Grammy-winning South African star gracefully reminded the world that she is not in the business of playing dress-up as anyone else.

“Love her, but I just thought the outfit was fly… no inspo,” Tyla wrote with her signature nonchalance in a recent social media post, shutting down the rumors with a single sentence that sent both fans and fashion blogs into a frenzy. The message was clear: the look was all Tyla, no tribute necessary.

The Look That Had the Girls Talking
Tyla took the Coachella stage during Weekend Two wearing an outfit that instantly commanded attention. Styled in a green and purple embellished bra top with ultra-low-rise, crystal-drenched denim shorts, the ensemble was daring, playful, and completely on-brand for the artist who’s been redefining what pop stardom looks like in 2025.
The outfit, sourced from Dolce & Gabbana’s 2000 archives, was completed with fishnet stockings and Burju lace-up boots that kissed her knees. It was Coachella meets couture with a dash of early 2000s attitude and a whole lot of Tyla spice. Naturally, the internet did what the internet does and began screaming “Britney” before Tyla could even catch her breath post-performance.

History Keeps Repeating and Tyla Is Over It
This is not the first time Tyla has had to swat away lazy comparisons. In a 2024 interview with Dazed, she made it crystal clear that these references to pop icons past weren’t just off-base. They were tired.
“Honestly, when people bring up these references, most of the time there was never a reference. It’s getting boring now,” she said bluntly. “I like working with people who have new and fresh ideas. I want to start something new.”

Translation? Tyla is not here to replicate. She is here to reinvent on her terms. Suppose there’s one thing she’s mastered, aside from a flawless falsetto and a killer runway walk. In that case, it’s the art of giving you something familiar but flipping it into something unmistakably her.

A Headlining Star in the Making
Beyond the discourse around her fashion, Tyla’s Coachella set was a testament to her skyrocketing superstardom. From performing her global smash Water to delivering sultry renditions of Truth or Dare and a shimmering remix of Aaliyah’s Rock the Boat, Tyla proved that she is not just a one-hit wonder or a TikTok darling. She’s the complete package.
She even brought out Becky G for a surprise performance, giving the crowd a taste of girl power with a slick, bilingual twist. And let’s not ignore how effortlessly she commanded the stage with her choreography, vocals, and undeniable aura. The girl ate. No crumbs.

The Tyla Era Is Here Like It or Not
So, for those still trying to draw lines between Tyla and early 2000s pop stars, it’s time to evolve. Tyla is not Britney. She is not Aaliyah. She is not Beyoncé. She is Tyla, and she is building her legacy, not borrowing from someone else’s scrapbook.
If anything, the Coachella moment proves exactly what she’s been saying all along. She is the moment. The muse. The blueprint.

Keep your comparisons. Tyla’s too busy creating culture.

Shannon Sharpe’s Legal Team Shares Alleged Sexual Texts From Accuser, Claims Case Is A “Shake Down”

Shannon Sharpe was hit with an eight figure lawsuit over the weekend accusing him of sexual assault and battery, and he has now responded with an official statement in his defense. The Hall Of Famer‘s attorneys claim the case is a “blatant and cynical attempt to shake down” Sharpe and have provided alleged text messages sent between the two exes as evidence. They also took it one step further by releasing the plaintiff’s full name, as she filed her case under a Jane Doe pseudonym.

On April 20, 2025, a 13-page civil complaint was filed in a Nevada state court accusing the retired tight end of committing assault, sexual assault, battery, and sexual battery, and that he engaged in the intentional infliction of emotional distress. The suit discloses the plaintiff and Sharpe entered a two-year consensual relationship, but his behavior turned abusive as he allegedly has threatened to kill the plaintiff when she attempted to share her location with friends, raped her, and sexually assaulted her multiple times.
Sharpe’s counsel, Lanny J. Davis & Associates, revealed in their April 21 statement that the woman’s name is Gabriella Zuniga. The document argues that Zuniga is lying and attempting to extort Sharpe for millions. The graphic texts were shared to show the alleged “broader pattern of graphic sexual communications initiated by Ms. Zuniga” and that the scenarios were “explicitly requested” by her.

“I want you to put a dog collar around my neck and choke me with it while you’re f**king me,” reads one alleged text sent by Zuniga to Sharpe, Oct. 7, 2023. Another mentions a price tag in exchange for pleasure, reading, “I know u miss this big juicy a**…$25k for each cheek” sent on New Years Day 2025.

The following texts included in the statement are as follows:
“Only if you put that baby gravy in me, then I can do whatever I want to me.”
— Text from Gabriella Zuniga to Shannon Sharpe, November 23, 2023
“I wanna put my tongue in your a**hole and then marry u.”
— Text from Gabriella Zuniga to Shannon Sharpe, January 12, 2024
“That’s my daddy f**k I want u to put a big black baby in me.”
Text from Gabriella Zuniga to Shannon Sharpe, August 6, 2024
“You better crave it cuz ur gonna be stuck with it 4 life after you put a big black baby in me.”
— Text from Gabriella Zuniga to Shannon Sharpe, August 11, 2024

In the filed complaint, Zuniga says the two entered a consensual relationship after they met at a gym in 2023, and she is “a woman more than thirty years younger than he is.” She says she tried “pulling away” from Sharpe after his infamous Instagram Live incident in September 2024 when he accidentally streamed him having sex with another woman.

She alleges he responded by becoming increasingly sexually abusive, as the statement says he “forced himself on her while she was crying and sobbing” during an interaction in October 2024. In January 2025, Doe claims Sharpe came over to her house and violently sexually assaulted her again after using the excuse of bringing a birthday gift to her.
The Club Shay Shay host’s statement concluded by asserting he firmly denies the sexual assault allegations and will prove his innocence. “Mr. Sharpe categorically denies all allegations of coercion or misconduct – especially the gross lie of ‘rape’ – and will not submit to what he sees as an egregious attempt at blackmail. He stands firmly by the truth and is prepared to fight these false claims vigorously in court. He looks forward to vindication through due process and a judgment based on the facts and the law,” it reads.

Zuniga is seeking a minimum of $50 million from Sharpe.

Student Loan Collections to Resume for Millions in Default, Including Wage Garnishment
Federal student loan collections are set to resume next month for the first time since 2020, with the U.S. Department of Education confirming plans to begin garnishing wages and withholding tax refunds from borrowers in default.
The announcement, made Monday by Education Secretary Linda McMahon, marks the end of a pandemic-era freeze that shielded millions of borrowers from debt collection efforts. Beginning May 5, the department will reinitiate its partnership with the Treasury Department to collect past-due student debt through involuntary means, including the federal offset program and wage garnishment.

Roughly 5.3 million borrowers are currently in default on their federal student loans. An additional 4 million are considered at risk, with their accounts more than 90 days past due. According to department data, less than 40 percent of all borrowers are current on their loans.
“American taxpayers will no longer be forced to serve as collateral for irresponsible student loan policies,” McMahon said in a statement. “It’s time to return the program to a place of fiscal responsibility.”

Borrowers who fail to make payments for nine consecutive months are considered in default. Once in default, loans may be sent to collections and negatively impact borrowers’ credit histories. Through the Treasury offset program, the government can intercept tax refunds, federal salaries, and other payments to collect on unpaid debt.

Borrowers will receive a 30-day advance notice before wage garnishment begins.
Student loan payments and interest were first paused in March 2020 under then-President Donald Trump as a temporary relief measure during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pause was extended several times under both the Trump and Biden administrations. A final grace period ended in October 2024, prompting the return to active repayment for tens of millions of borrowers.

While President Joe Biden’s broader debt cancellation plan was blocked by the U.S. Supreme Court, his administration has still approved more than $183 billion in targeted student loan forgiveness through expanded programs. More than 5 million borrowers have had their loans fully or partially canceled.

However, McMahon said the previous administration’s actions went too far.
“Going forward, the Department of Education, in conjunction with the Department of Treasury, will shepherd the student loan program responsibly and according to the law,” she said.

Borrowers currently in default can explore options to rehabilitate their loans or enter income-driven repayment plans to avoid garnishment or other penalties. More information is expected to be provided by the department ahead of the May 5 enforcement date.Student Loan
