DISPCABLE!!! HIV-Positive Man Arrested for Having Unprotected Sex
John Conway Hart
A Raleigh, N.C., man has been charged with a public health violation for allegedly having unprotected sex and not revealing to his partner that he has HIV, reports local station WTVD 11.
If convicted, John Conway Hart, 27, could face up to four months in jail and be subjected to a medical quarantine.

While she declined to comment specifically on this case, Wake County health director Sue Lynn Ledford said she preferred education to prosecution. “This is an extreme last measure for us, an extreme last measure for us,” she explained. “This is the very last thing that we would look to do and we would, we would try everything else first.”
A sexual partner of Hart’s went to police after finding out after the fact about Hart’s HIV status.

  1. I am one who fully believes that the Onest is NOT ONLY THE RESPONSIBILITY of the POZ person!! EVERYONE MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE for asking the right questions and for protecting themselves!! The article says the partner went to the police AFTER he/she found out about the status AFTER they had already had sex, so NO ONE WAS COMMUNICATING prior to getting all hot and bothered..OR....HE LIED and the sexual partner WENT FORTH ANYWAY to do it without a condom......RIGHT THERE.....that takes away the 100% responsibility OFF the POZ person and reduces it to 50%....

WE MUST LEARN THAT IT IS OKAY TO GO WITHOUT SEX AND THAT IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT ONE IS NOT DESIRABLE, SEXY, WANTED, ETC.....THIS IS ABOUT LIVING!!

IF EVERYONE TREATED EVERYBODY AS IF ALL ARE INFECTED, THEN PERHAPS PROPER PRECAUTIONS WOULD BE IN PLACED AND USED OFTEN.....PERHAPS...BUT WE SEE WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO!!!

    1. Get some lube and masturbate..... damn!!! It's 2012 and you are having sex without protecting yourself? And then you blame the other person for not telling you? I think 100% of responsibility lies on the person that knows that they are not positive because you know your status, so why would you place yourself in a position to change that status? You know that there are people out there that would be willing to give you what was given to them, so why would you take that risk....... Don't blame the person that gave it to you, blame yourself for allowing it to happen.....

  3. It's the same as committing murder. He should have more time in jail

  4. Because of the fact the he knew he was HIV positive and chose not to convey his status should give him more time in jail than just four months. But by the same token, this is why they created condoms, so some of the blame DOES shift over to the other party.

  5. It's always 50-50 responsibilility. But an indidivual has 100% to themselves and a poz person has 100% in informing prospective partners. Yes we should ALL be using condoms but ignorance of the prospective partner in NO WAS absolves a poz person of their duty to inform.

  6. Its time women took ownership for their sexual proclivities.
Ain't nobody gave you SHIT!!! If you were not raped, or
otherwise coerced into a sexual encounter against your will,
you WILLINGLY spread your fucking legs for the dick! HIV
did not just start day before yesterday. There is info out
there, and if you choose to engage sexually, raw like a mofo,
them you are equally to blame for any negative outcome. Some
don't even know they may be positive, so how CAN they tell you?
Its like walking up on a game of Russian Roulette in progress.
If you choose to sit your dumb ass down and start playing as
well, and the bullet enters your head, how in the hell can you
blame the others? You shot yourself, you stupid hoe!

    2. That was a harsh response but actually, it was a man that reported him. I assume he's gay or bi. watch the video before you go bashing women.

    3. I think regardless of the gender of his partner responsibility does fall on them as well. THis posters comments were harsh but completely true. It's the same as a man having sex with a woman raw and complaining when she gets pregnant. There are far too many resources out there for you to claim ignorance. Either wrap it up, find a monogamous partner or shut up and enjoy the fuck. But don't cry foul after the fact. All health concerns should come BEFORE your clothes come off. Anything else is just stupid and a waste.
