SPLITSVILLE: Nicole Murphy & Michael Strahan BREAK UP...For Now!
It's over for former NFLer Michael Strahan and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, Nicole Murphy, according to our source. We're told that the two broke up over the weekend when Michael traveled back home L.A., where Nicole still lives, as Michael lives in New York during the week in order to tape "Live! With Kelly & Michael."
Our source tells us Michael discovered inappropriate text messages in Nicole's phone between her and someone named "London Taylor," and Michael was anything but pleased.
A screaming match allegedly went down with accusations of cheating being thrown around. Another source close to the couple tells us that Nicole believes Michael could have jumped to these conclusions simply because he possibly could be doing the same thing in New York when Nicole is not there.
If you recall, Nicole was the lead video girl (screenshot above) in a very steamy video recently with a new artist of the same name. And many were wondering why she would do such a sexualized video, and with a new artist. Nicole reportedly claimed that it was a way for her to publicize her jewelry line, FLP.
We're told Michael left L.A. to return to NYC for work. He then, according to our source, informed Nicole that he needed a break, and the two have not spoken since.
One source tells us that Nicole is heartbroken, but they're also hoping that when word gets out about their break up--it will force the two to communicate again.
THE NEW LeBron X: WOULD YOU PAY $315.00 FOR THESE SNEAKERS?
National Urban League Furious Over Nike Release Of Expensive Sneakers
The National Urban League is speaking out against Nike and their upcoming release of the most expensive shoe in Nike history at a whopping $315.
Nike’s basketball ads in the 1980s and early 90s featuring Michael Jordan and Spike Lee’s alter ego Mars Blackmon popularized the famous line “Money, it’s gotta be the shoes!”
Fast forward to 2012 – Nike is still selling sneakers and charging big-time money for them. This fall, the sneaker giant is expected to unveil its ‘LeBron X’ sneaker and if you want to wear them, it will cost a cool $315 according to the Wall Street Journal.
The National Urban League wants no part of it.
The civil rights organization has slammed Nike for charging so much for the shoe and is encouraging parents not to spend their money on an “empty status symbol.” The group’s president Marc Morial has asked Nike to scrap its plans to release the show altogether:
“I ask Nike – and the parents whose children are targeted in this misdirected campaign – to join us in our efforts to empower young people to value their own talents – athletic and otherwise – above material tokens and work together for broader access to the economic mainstream.”
The urban league released a statement earlier today, where Morial describes the LeBron James sneaker as representing “twisted priorities and confused values.”
Earlier in the statement, Morial says: “To release such an outrageously overpriced product while the nation is struggling to overcome an unemployment crisis is insensitive at best.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, this version of the ‘LeBron X’ sneaker includes its own electronics and will be the most expensive shoe in Nike history.
Would you buy these for your child or let them spend their hard earned money to purchase them?

The National Football League reached agreement on an eight-year labor deal with its game officials late Wednesday night, effectively ending a lockout that forced unprepared replacement officials onto the field, creating three weeks of botched calls, acute criticism, furious coaches and players, and a blemish — however temporary — on the integrity of the country’s most popular sport.
The agreement, which was being put in writing late Wednesday night, came 48 hours after the nadir of the league’s experiment with replacement officials, when an incorrect call on the final play of the Monday night game cost the Green Bay Packers a victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
That nationally televised debacle spurred two days of intense and lengthy negotiations against the backdrop of immense public pressure and scorn, most of it directed at the league. Both sides were so determined to play no more games with replacements that they raced Wednesday night to get officials in place to work this week’s slate of games.
Commissioner Roger Goodell is temporarily lifting the lockout so a crew of regular officials can work the Ravens’ game against the Cleveland Browns in Baltimore on Thursday night. The members of the officials’ union will then gather in Dallas on Saturday and are expected to vote to ratify the contract, with regular officials expected to then work Sunday’s games.
Goodell said: “This agreement supports long-term reforms that will make officiating better. The teams, players and fans want and deserve both consistency and quality in officiating. We look forward to having the finest officials in sports back on the field.”
Scott Green, the head of the officials’ union, said, “We are glad to be getting back on the field for this week’s games.”
Under the terms of the deal, pensions will remain in place for current officials through the 2016 season. New officials will get a 401(k) instead. The average official’s salary will rise to $173,000 in 2013 from 149,000 in 2011.
Beginning in 2013, the N.F.L. will have the option of hiring a number of full-time officials; officials currently are part-timers.
The negotiations with officials were conducted largely by Goodell and the league’s top lawyer, Jeff Pash, with little of the direct owner involvement that was featured during negotiations with the players last year.
The latest round of talks began last Saturday. On Monday, before the Packers game, the sides agreed to meet again on Tuesday. Once the talks began that morning, they took on a new urgency with some owners, who were concerned about the damage being done to the league’s credibility by the replacements. The sides met for 17 hours on Tuesday and went well into the night on Wednesday.
The lockout began in June, and while a fight over the officials’ pensions was the most prominent hurdle — and the final one that the sides worked on late Wednesday — the league also sought more control over grooming and replacing officials, in the name of improving officiating long term.
But as officiating and the control of the games deteriorated with each week, Goodell came under withering fire, which reached a peak on Tuesday morning. The level of the uproar seemed to take some owners by surprise, but there was little question Wednesday night that it spurred them into action. The Colts owner Jim Irsay wrote on his Twitter feed that owners were “desperately trying” to get a deal done. “Let’s be clear, when our N.F.L. fans talk, we listen,” Irsay said. “If you’re unhappy, we’re unhappy ... we’re here to serve you. Everything we do is to please you!”
First, though, the league and officials had to please each other. Early on Wednesday, they reached a compromise on the hiring of additional officials to create the so-called bench that the league wants to use to replace officials they believe are underperforming.
The pension proved more complicated. Officials had hoped to retain a traditional pension while the league wanted to eliminate it in favor of a 401(k). The officials had offered a proposal to have current officials retain their pensions; new officials who are hired would be enrolled in a 401(k). That would allow the league to get rid of the pensions by attrition, as the existing officials retired.
When they return to action, the regular officials are likely to be rusty for at least a few games; they, like the players, use preseason games to round into form. But they will certainly have a better command of the rules than the replacements did.
Even before the regular season began, the referee Ed Hochuli became a headmaster of sorts in an officiating boot camp during the lockout, circulating five-hour tests on rules among the 121 officials, conducting weekly conference calls to discuss rules and sending around hours of tape every week so that officials would be prepared to step in.
For the frustrated fans, coaches and players, they cannot get back soon enough.
“It would be nice to have them back,” said Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan. Shanahan’s son Kyle, the team’s offensive coordinator, was fined $25,000 this week for profanely berating officials after last week’s game.
Chris Paul COVERS The October 2012 ISSUE Of "GQ" Magazine,
Basketball superstar Chris Paul covers the latest issue of GQ (he's one of three covers starring Denzel Washington and Javier Bardem) where inside, he invites readers to his parents 30th wedding anniversary! He talks up the importance of family (he and wife Jada just welcomed their second kiddie this summer) and having a great support system. And also reveals how his height has played a large role in the man he has become. Here are the highlights:
On the positive aspects of being short:
"I've been fortunate to be short my entire life. There's only one position I've ever had to play, and that's point guard. So I've always had to be that leader. And that was my job: you know, to talk."
On his negative outburst resulting from Lakers player Pau Gasol "sonning" him:
"We call that sonnin', Like when I take Li'l Chris to the bathroom, I'll walk with my hand on his head. That's my son. You know what I mean? I understand that Gasol is that tall, but don't do to me what I do to my son."
On being a people person:
"I'm a big-time people person, too. Like, I love people. I hate to be by myself." He repeats the phrase to himself, quieter each time: "I hate to be by myself. I hate to be by myself. I hate to be by myself."
On the importance of family:
"I realize that I'm not going to be doing interviews for the cover of GQ for the rest of my life, know what I mean? I'm on TV because I play basketball really well. But when all this is over with—say something crazy happens, God forbid, and I can't perform anymore. All those people that were in there? They're still gonna be there." Check the pics!

Ravens WR Torrey Smith’s Brother Killed In Motorcycle Accident
Baltimore Ravens wider receiver Torrey Smith’s younger brother Tevin was killed in a motorcycle crash in Westmoreland County, Va. Saturday.
A Virginia State trooper arrived at the scene on Route 674 Chatham Lane in the Montross area just before midnight. Police say 19-year-old Tevin L. Jones was traveling eastbound on his 2006 Yamaha YZF-R1 when he ran off the right side of the road, striking a utility pole.
Jones, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, died at the scene.
According to the Baltimore Ravens, Torrey left the team’s downtown Baltimore hotel shortly after 1 a.m. to be with his family.
Head Coach John Harbaugh issued the following statement:
“This is devastatingly sad, sad news. Torrey and his family are a close, special family, and our hearts and thoughts reach out to all of them. Our hearts ache today. We pray for Tevin, his mother, Torrey and the rest of the family. God bless Tevin.“
Police say alcohol was not a factor. The investigation into the accident continues.

Well Tameka Raymond is taking to Entertainment Tonight to speak on her and Usher

She will sit down with Entertainment Tonight, according to Rhymes with Snitch, in a three part interview. The interview will be no holds barred and part one will air on Monday, September 24th. In the interview she gives a tour of the home she shared with Usher, the loss of her son Kile and reveals information she believes could have swayed the child custody case in her favor had it come out in court.
Tameka is not giving up the fight because she knows she is the best fit for her children to be with over Usher. She is a wonderful mother and is currently appealing the ruling of primary custody of her two sons with Usher.
There’s a New Basketball Wife Coming…..THIS TIME A REAL ONE!
"Basketball Wives" (the original) is finally getting an actual wife. Since the only two chicks who were actually married during their season--Meeka Claxton and Kenya Bell--are no longer a part of the show, and Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams & Kesha Nichols got the boot as well, it's time to fill the slots.
VH1 tapped Tasha Marbury (pictured above on her wedding day to Stephon) because she's actually married to an ex-NBAer and is already friends with some of the cast (pictured above with Evelyn). Not as if that friendship thing mattered in previous seasons. According to TMZ:
Sources close to the production tell us ... Tasha Marbury is in final talks to join the show -- a much needed cast replacement after Royce, Jennifer and Kesha were all axed.
Sources tell us, Tasha was previously asked to do season 1 of "BB Wives", except Stephon nixed the idea -- but now he lives in China part time playing for the Beijing Ducks ... and changed his tune.
By the way, Evelyn still hasn't been officially signed on for next season. Looks like there could be almost a totally new cast.

Tisha Campbell & Duane Martin Sued For BIG BUCKS For Mortgage
In other news, Duane Martin and his wife Tisha are catching some heat from the bank over their mortgage. The couple owes over $400,000 after allegedly defaulting on a 2008 loan for their waterfront Lake Arrowhead, California home.
The loan was actually a second loan taken out by the couple from City National Bank. They allegedly already defaulted on their first loan of over $700,000, taken out from Aurora Bank. After the bank foreclose don the property and sold it at auction for $925,000, Aurora was paid back first and the remainder given to City National.
Their City National loan ballooned to over $630,000, and only $193,000 was used from the sale of the property to satisfy this amount. Now, of course, City National wants the rest of their money. So they are suing the couple.
The Martins' response? Their rep says they shouldn't be "bullied" into paying the loan because the bank received $400 million in government subsidy back in 2009 to help in situations like these. Plus, The Martins say they are being discriminated against. Not sure how you're entitiled to get out of a loan scott-free simply because you can't pay for it, but OK.
TMZ says the rep would not explain HOW exactly they are being discriminated against. Alrighty then.
Caribbean shots fired! Rohan Calls Wyclef a DAMN LIAR!
Last week Wyclef Jean released an excerpt from his autobiography 'Purpose an Immigrant's Story' where he dropped the bomb that the Fugees broke up because Lauryn Hill lied to him about the paternity of her oldest son
Wyclef says Lauryn lead him to believe he was the father when actually the father was Rohan Marley. Rohan says Wyclef is telling lies to sell his book...
From TMZ
Rohan, who dated Lauryn from '96 to 2011, and tells TMZ ... Wyclef "knew from jump that was my son from the day [Lauryn] was pregnant."
Rohan -- one of Bob Marley's sons, and a former football stud at U. of Miami -- does admit Lauryn and Wyclef screwed around before he came on the scene, but says he's confident it ended because Wyclef actually played matchmaker ... "They were definitely not messing around, or he would never have given me the okay."
He also says he and Lauryn were together in studio sessions night and day back then so there wouldn't even be time for her to have the alleged affair.
Rohan added he thinks Wyclef is "just saying false things to get book headlines" -- and he has no plans to talk it out with 'Clef because "he knows he is fronting himself.
For his part, Wyclef tells TMZ, "There is no way that I would have shown up in the hospital in that circumstance to wait for a baby to be born if it was not mine. The idea of a memoir is to tell the truth. I know that often the truth hurts, but a lie hurts even more."

Bradley and Zoe…Back together again?
Their short-lived romance ended back in March and by the beginning of September they appeared awkward while promoting their new film The Words together.
But it seems Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana have decided to give it another go.
The Hangover actor was seen leaving Zoe's house early on Saturday morning and after a brief time apart, the couple met up once more - this time for a romantic trip to the cinema.
The couple, who met on the set of The Words, dressed down for their Saturday night cinema trip.
Bradley, 37, wore a pair of casual grey trousers with a navy blue bomber jacket and trainers.
The 34-year-old, who didn't appear to be wearing any make up, wore her hair down and a pair of thick-rimmed glasses.
Bradley put a protective arm around his former co-star as they left the Archlight Dome Theater in West Hollywood, where they watched controversial film The Master about the founder of Scientology L.Ron Hubbard.
Earlier that morning, Bradley was seen leaving Zoe's house in Los Angeles after a sleepover.
Zoe, who appeared to be in her gym clothes, was seen waving him off as she tucked into a bowl of cereal.
Before meeting up for their evening date, Bradley managed to fit in a quick session of tennis.
The actor, who had changed into white shorts and a blue zip-up jacket, was seen walking to his car alongside his instructor after finishing up some tennis practice in Studio City, California.
At the beginning of September things seemed strained between the pair as they posed alongside each other at the premiere of The Words in Los Angeles.
Up until this point the couple, who were then estranged, managed to avoid appearing together.
At the time it was speculated that the actress missed the New York and Philadelphia screening due to an arm injury and not in fact because she didn't want to see her former lover.
According to reports, Bradley and Zoe split up after just three months together back in March after falling for each other on the set of the film, in which they play lovers.
'They're definitely not together,' an insider told Us Weekly magazine at the time.
