Disney Rolls Out New “Zootopia” Trailer: Watch Here!
Gearing up for a big 2016, Walt Disney Studios just released a second preview for their forthcoming animated film “Zootopia.”
Starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, the furry-friend-filled flick is slated to hit theaters on March 4th, 2016 and is already getting some major buzz.

Per the synopsis, “As the force's newest police officer, Judy Hopps is put on traffic duty, but that's not enough for the motivated bunny that works alongside rhinoceroses, elephants and rams, to name a few. When animals that are supposed to be nonviolent start to go ‘savage,’ it's up to Hopps and Nick Wilde, a sly-talking fox, to solve a crime he didn't commit. Hopps and Wilde set out on a crime-tastic adventure that involves a lot of ups and downs.”

#RHOA: Will Phaedra Parks New Man Meet Her Kids?
Phaedra Parks announced her separation from Apollo Nida over a year ago, so fans often forget the two are still legally married. While she was promoting The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s been talking a lot about her personal life, and opening up more about the Apollo situation.
Phaedra stopped by E! News where she got candid on the details of her dating life or lack thereof rather! When asked about dating she shared that her, “first priority is obviously being a mom, and everything takes a back seat to that.” Phaedra reminds us again that she is “still currently married in the eyes of the law,” and continued, “And so you know, I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate until you’re legally divorced.”
“Once I divorce I will definitely consider dating,” Phaedra reiterated, “but at this point, my sons [Dylan and Ayden] are my first priority.” Phaedra goes out of her way to make sure we know the boys are her sole focus right now, and I’m confused as to who would doubt this. I’m not married so it’s difficult to weigh in on if she should start dating or not, but I feel like this woman has been through the ringer. Even if she wanted to date, the hate she would get for doing it publically would be overwhelming. It’s time for Phaedra and Apollo to make a decision on their future together. Phaedra shouldn’t have to wait 8 whole years to decide if they will get divorced or stay together, that’s a lot of living to miss out on! I’m not TOTALLY against them getting back together, but at this point I think she could do better. I think Phaedra should officially get divorced so next season we can watch her start dating on the show!
Apollo is currently serving 8 years in federal prison for bank and wire fraud. This leaves Phaedra as the sole provider and caretaker for the couples 2 young sons. “I think being a single mom is tough because you’re the sole provider and you have all the responsibilities on your shoulders,” she confessed. “Just knowing you don’t have a partner to rely on is tough, but you know, you just have to pull up your boot straps and keep going.”
Thankfully, Phaedra wears a lot of hats and can keep the money coming in! She continues to work as an entertainment lawyer, TV personality, and author. Phaedra admitted she is working extra hard these days, “As long as I can sleep when I’m dead, I can work all day and most of the night, ” she revealed. Nothing is mentioned about her mortician career, so she may not be exploring that avenue at this time.
Phaedra elaborated some more on her future dating life, “I think it would be irresponsible of me for to bring men around my child while I’m still married, and [to let them be around] people that I don’t plan to get serious with.” Phaedra makes a great point, and more women should follow her example. Especially women in the spot light, they are always exposing their children to tumultuous relationships and break ups. It’s sad for us to watch on TV when situations like this play out.

“Empire” star Bryshere “Yazz” Gray found some time in between taping the rest of season 2 to live it up in Barbados.
Earlier, he was spotted partying on a yacht with some friends. Afterwards, the actor/rapper was in search of some fun, so he hopped on a jet ski and made his rounds:
The "Empire" star rung in 2016 performing alongside Timbaland for Pitbull's New Year's Revolution at Bayfront Park in Miami. The duo was introduced by their co-star Taraji P. Henson and then rocked out to the series' song "Bout 2 Blow."
Back on shore, he bumped into Scottish singer Tallia Storm and stopped for a pic.

Music: BJ The Chicago Kid Pays Tribute To “Untitled” With “A Salute To D’Angelo”
To mark the new year, BJ The Chicago Kid continues to prove that he’s a student of the R&B game.
In the past the Motown Records signee has paid tributes to R. Kelly, The Isley Brother and Aaliyah with flawless aplomb. As we dive deeper into 2016, BJ honored another legend and familiar face here at OKP. January 1, 2000 marked the 16th anniversary of D’Angelo‘s sweat-filled, panty-dropping cut, “Untitled” (How Does It Feel?), and Chicago’s charismatic crooner has stepped up to cover that as well as some other standouts from the Voodoo mastermind’s catalogue.
Released on BJ’s own SoundCloud page, the ageless artist includes the Paisley Park cut, “She’s Always In My Hair,” including two joints from the album, “Send It On,” as well as the aforementioned “Untitled” track. “His musicality is beyond this world,” BJ The Chicago Kid said of D’Angelo via a press release. “I had to celebrate his genius by paying homage to his legacy while he continues to kill the game and make great music. It’s a new year and there’s no better way to start it off than taking it back to where it all began for me. This is real Soul/R&B.”
BJ has had a celebrated 2015 with appearances on Dr. Dre‘s Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre this past summer, plus appearances alongside Big K.R.I.T. and Chance the Rapper. It looks as if 2016 is full of limitless possibilities for BJ The Chicago Kid, and we can’t wait to see what’s next from the talented act.

BLACK LIVES DO NOT MATTER! Bail Granted For Michael Slager, Ex-Cop Who Killed Walter Scott
Slager will stand trial in October for killing the unarmed black motorist in South Carolina.

A South Carolina judge on Monday granted bail to Michael Slager, the former police officer charged with murdering unarmed black motorist Walter Scott in a 2015 shooting.
Slager's bail was set at $500,000. He must remain in the state on house arrest except for church, doctor, court or attorney visits, court records state.
Judge Clifton Newman said he granted bail to Slager because his new trial date of Oct. 31 was months later than what Slager's had attorneys requested to ensure a speedy trial, according to the Post and Courier.
The state Supreme Court has cleared South Carolina prosecutors from trying other cases until after Slager's jailhouse neighbor, Dylann Roof, goes on trial in July for the murder of nine members of a historic black church in Charleston. Slager's own trial was postponed as a result.
Newman initially denied Slager bail in September, months after the officer's April 2015 arrest. At that time, he said Slager's release "would constitute an unreasonable danger to the community."
Justin Bamberg, an attorney for the Scott family, urged the public to "just be peaceful" after Newman's Monday ruling.
Lil Wayne And Birdman Reportedly Working To Settle Lawsuit, Beef
Lil Wayne and Birdman were spotted partying together at Drake’s New Year’s Eve bash at E11even nightclub, and according to TMZ, the duo wasn’t there just to party, but were also working to sort out their differences in the midst of their legal war.

Future and his baby mama, Ciara, are not on best of terms to start 2016. The Atlanta rapper took to Twitter to air out the R&B singer with claims that he has to go through lawyers to see his namesake baby son.
“This b*tch got control problems,” he tweeted today (Jan. 4). “I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture…the f*ckery for 15k a month.”

Meredith Vieira’s NBC Talk Show Axed
For the past two seasons she’s worked hard to establish a solid viewership, but sadly Meredith Vieira's efforts failed to pay off.
The “Meredith Vieira Show” was cancelled on Monday (January 4) and Ms. Vieira released a statement thanking her fans for their support.
Meredith declared, "I am so sorry to see our show come to an end after this season, but I am also incredibly proud of the work our staff has done and forever grateful to our supportive viewers. We promise to spend our final weeks producing the best broadcast we know how. And have a blast doing so!

Faith Evans Wants LAPD to Reopen Notorious B.I.G. Case!
Faith Evans *Although the identity of the person who killed the Notorious B.I.G. is currently unknown, the late rap legend’s wife believes the Los Angeles Police Department may have knowledge about the killer.
“We know he was murdered, but we believe that the LAPD knows who’s responsible,” Faith Evans said during an interview with HuffPost Live while expressing her thoughts that the LAPD isn’t telling the public everything regarding the case. “That’s what we believe.”
As a result, the singer wants the case surrounding B.I.G.’s death reopened with more people working to solve it. In addition, Evans stated expressed.
“All we can do is hope that that happens,” Evans said. “But we’re just happy that we’re here to preserve his legacy and [make sure] his kids are happy and they’re living great lives.”
The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. Despite various developments in the case, the killer has yet to be caught.
As for whether the infamous East Coast vs. West Coast rap feud had anything to do with her former husband’s death, Evans stated that she didn’t think the beef contributed to it any way.
“The only way you can look at it is tragic. Tragic and senseless,” she said. “But I don’t think that situation was the result of being in the music business. It’s a little deeper than that. I think all the things that came with it definitely added to the hype of things. The whole media element, and people being able to say what they think and not be accurate.”
