Jason Momoa Opens Up About Parenting: "My Kids Are the Greatest Piece of Art"

Jason Momoa is buffer than ever on the December cover of Men's Health. The Justice League star, who officially tied the knot with longtime love Lisa Bonet in October, shows off his skills in rock climbing, guitar playing, and stick fighting in the spread, which times perfectly with the release of his superhero film on Nov. 17. In the interview, Jason opens up about parenting — he and Lisa share daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf — saying, "Sometimes you don't learn it from your parents. You learn it from your best friends. Instead of just, 'This is what a man's supposed to be' . . . you can make something really positive," adding, "The truth is we're all searching. We're all looking for guidance, for mentors, and I'm by no means someone to follow."

Jason went on to reveal what he hopes to be remembered by: "I want to be remembered as, I hope, an amazing husband and a great father," he said. "My kids are the greatest piece of art. If I can pump them full of amazing stuff and surround them with beautiful art and music, then I'm going to live out my life watching them." He went on, "They're already way smarter and just way better than me. God, I love it. It's beautiful. I want it to be the greatest thing I ever do: make good humans."

#RHoA: CATFIGHT! It’s Shamea VS Porsha!

"You and I have both been very distant since the f-ckery of Phaedra," Shamea tells Porsha on Sunday's "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

Shamea Morton came after longtime friend Porsha Williams on Sunday night's episode of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" after Porsha said she couldn't make it to Shamea's wedding due to an ongoing "medical condition" (which seems to flare up at very convenient times).

The news did not sit well with Shamea, considering she and Porsha had been BFFs long before Phaedra Parks (the Frack to Porsha's Frick) put a major wedge in their friendship last season.

All season long, Phaedra had told Porsha that she heard directly out of Kandi's mouth that Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, intended to drug Porsha to have sex with her. Phaedra was dropped from the Bravo franchise, and the rest is "Housewives" history.

Now back to the present:

"You're not a horrible friend, but you've not been the best friend lately," Shamea told Porsha in a heated exchange. "You and I have both been very distant since the f-ckery of Phaedra. You put Phaedra before me, Porsha, and I never did that. Y'all were Frick and Frack. F-ck that."

"I apologized, and I genuinely meant it," Porsha replied. "What else do you need from me because I'm genuinely here as your friend and genuinely here to support you."

"I just feel like my relationship with Shamea is at a place where I love and support her from afar," Porsha told Bravo cams.

Kandi put in her two cents on the matter when she told Bravo cams, "I wish that Porsha would just be honest and say that she doesn't want to go [to Shamea's wedding] because, clearly, she goes everywhere else that she wants to go, medical condition and all."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

#EMPIRE: Taraji P. Henson To Star in the Remake of ‘What Women Want!

Here’s a smart way to remake a hit comedy. Paramount Players has signed Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson to star in What Men Want, a comedy inspired by the 2000 Nancy Meyers hit romantic comedy What Women Want. The studio is fast tracking the film, and has set it for release January 11, 2019.

The original starred Mel Gibson as a confident chauvinistic male who suddenly acquires the ability to hear what the women around him are really thinking. The new version follows a female sports agent (Henson) who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When she gains the power to hear men’s thoughts, she is able to shift the paradigm to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA’s next superstar.

The film will be produced by Will Packer and James Lopez and Henson will executive produced.

#NEWMUSIC: STREAM IT Syleena Johnson – Rebirth of Soul 

Veteran r&b singer Syleena Johnson has just released her latest album “Rebirth of Soul”. Included on the album is Syleena’s interpretation of classic r&b songs from the 50’s and 60’s. You can hear via the project’s first single, which just happens to be a cover of her father’s song “We Did It”.

Recorded in Chicago, Syl Johnson’s long-time base and Syleena’s hometown, the sessions include musicians who played on hit R&B recordings there over the years and a majority of the album features songs associated with Chicago artists, songwriters or record labels. Syleena shares,

“The inspiration behind REBIRTH OF SOUL is my father. I wanted to honor him and classic soul music in a time when auto tune and electronic beats reign supreme. #HIPHOPNEWS: Hip Hop Dominates Forbes' 30 Under 30 2018 Music Edition

Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list started in 2011 and since then, it’s served as an indicator of today’s prominent musical figures. The 30 Under 30 2018 edition has arrived and finds a generous helping of notable Hip Hop artists making the final cut.

In the music section, one of 20 categories in the list, nine of the genre’s most prevalent artists make the cut. It’s a slight change of pace from last year’s list — only eight were included.

Playboi Carti lands on the list of culture shifters. His chart-topping single “Magnolia” catapulted him into superstardom along with his six-figure deal with Interscope and association with A$AP Mob’s A$AP Rocky. Not surprisingly, Cardi B sits in the second spot. The release of “Bodak Yellow” and its subsequent run at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 has translated to her newfound celebrity status.

Lil Uzi Vert’s success with Luv Is Rage 2  on Billboard’s Hot 100 and the immensely popular single “XO Tour Life” have cemented his place among Forbes’ elite, earning him a spot on the esteemed list. Migos and its laundry list of radio hits, including “Bad and Boujee,” “T-Shirt,” and, most recently, “Too Hotty,” earned the Atlanta trio a spot as well.

Travis Scott’s “Pick Up The Phone” and Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight undoubtedly afforded him an entry into the exclusive list. Young Thug, who is featured on “Pick Up The Phone,” also made the cut with his unique fashion sense a near flawless catalog of music.

Young M.A, Khalid, H.E.R. and SZA were also included on the list for their outstanding achievements and projected future success.

#FAMILYAFFAIR: Tracee Ellis Ross to host the 2017 American Music Awards, While Mommy Diana Ross, will be honored with the 2017 AMA's Lifetime Achievement Award.

"Black-ish" star Tracee Ellis Ross will host the American Music Awards this year.

It will be the first time that the Emmy-nominated actress will host the awards show, and it was announced exclusively on "Good Morning America" today.

This Sunday's show will be a big night for the actress and her family. Her mother, Diana Ross, will be honored with the 2017 AMA's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Diana Ross, who hosted the awards show in 1986 and 1987, is also slated to perform live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles after receiving her award.

New ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Release Date Announced and Threat Debunked!

Warner Bros. has pushed the release date up for Wonder Woman 2. Instead of a December 2019 release, the Princess of the Amazons will return to theaters on November 1, 2019.

There were reports that Gal Gadot said she would pull out of the film if Brett Ratner wasn’t chopped from the franchise after his sexual misconduct allegations.

Deadline reports that is FALSE! There was some noise over the weekend on the internet that Gadot wouldn’t sign for the sequel unless Brett Ratner’s name was removed from the franchise. We hear this is false. First of all, Gadot is locked in to star in Wonder Woman 2 and there haven’t been any sour talks between the actress and Warner Bros.’ upper brass re Ratner.

The studio is pushing both Gadot and Jenkins this awards season and both were in cheery attendance on Saturday night at the AMPAS Governors Awards. Second, RatPac Dune isn’t committed to finance Wonder Woman 2; the passive investor’s commitments with WB end with the April 20 release of Rampage. In addition, Ratner isn’t listed as producer on the first Wonder Woman, RatPac was merely a passive financier.

‘The Talk’ Adds Eve as Permanent Co-Host Following Aisha Tyler Departure

 “The Talk” has named rapper and actress Eve as a co-host to the CBS daytime talk show, Variety has learned.

Eve steps into the permanent role following the departure of Aisha Tyler, who made the decision to leave at the end of last season to focus on her other television and film projects, including CBS’ “Criminal Minds.”

Eve rounds out the panel that includes show creator Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood.

Since Tyler’s exit, “The Talk” has featured many guest co-hosts during its current eighth season. Insiders say “hundreds of names” were considered before Eve landed the full-time gig. Eve was a standout and proved she was the right fit earlier this month when she co-hosted for a week, impressing viewers, the network, and the cast.

“The women were thrilled when they heard Eve would be joining the show and can’t wait to start talking and engaging her in the conversation,” CBS exec Angelica McDaniel, who oversees daytime programming at the network, tells Variety. “Eve is a natural fit with our dynamic group of Daytime Emmy Award-winning hosts, and brings a fresh perspective and bold point of view as an accomplished artist, businesswoman, and wife who is raising four stepchildren and looking to add to her family.”

Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who’s known for the 2002 song “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre. As an actress, Eve has had roles in “xXx,” the “Barbershop” franchise, “Glee,” and her self-titled UPN sitcom.

“It is a new career move for me,” Eve tells Variety. “I am interested in hosting, and specifically on this show, because I feel as though I can express myself in a way people haven’t seen me before, and be able to engage in great discussions [and] have some fun. I’m just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself.”

No topic is off limits for Eve, and she’s both excited and nervous for her new role, though she’s received advice from the cast, especially Underwood. She says, “I am a pretty open book.”

The multi-hyphenate also says she’ll continue to make time for both acting and music, while balancing her new job on “The Talk.”

“I will definitely make time for acting, if there is time. I’m always interested in unique and fun parts,” Eve reveals. “And music, yes, I’ve already started recording. I started recording a few months ago. And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon.

“The Talk’s” panel has remained pretty stable during its eight-season run, though in its earlier days, the show had featured other co-hosts, including Marissa Jaret Winokur, Leah Remini, and Holly Robinson Peete.

Tyler, who has already guest co-hosted this season, is expected join the ladies at the table and fill in as a co-host from time-to-time when scheduling permits.

Kristen Stewart Covers ELLE UK: I’m Dating Alicia Cargile

Never one to divulge too much about her personal life, Kristen Stewart made a surprise move when she confirmed she’s in a relationship with Alicia Cargile in her cover story for the August 2016 issue of ELLE UK magazine.

The “Snow White and the Huntsman” hottie explained, "Right now I'm just really in love with my girlfriend. We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time I was like, 'Finally, I can feel again.'"

Furthermore, states Stewart, "When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn't like it. We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine. You're making my relationship something that it's not.' I didn't like that. But then it changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, 'Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I'm not down with it or I'm ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I'm so much happier."

It's safe to say the Real Housewives' antics can occasionally be a little immature, but a new video series is taking that idea to the next level. 

Here’s a new video partnership between Bravo and Mashable that couples Housewives' tantrums with child's play. 

In the first clip, a trio of little ladies re-enacts the infamous "Gone with the Wind Fabulous" scene between The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey.

From the minute she delivers her opening credits tagline, it's immediately clear that the girl who embodying Leakes is going to bring it: "Why you gotta be so nasty and so rude when you can be so fierce and so successful?" [Insert power twirl here]

Likewise, the girls portraying Moore and Bailey have just the right amount of fiery attitude and model-esque composure to their respective parts. 

Just watch and see how kid-sized Kenya turns out her real-life counterpart's signature spin when coining the phrase that launched ... well ... one music video.

But just like her inspiration, Teeny NeNe serves up the most sass with her trademark one-liners: "I mean really!"

#EMPIRE: Season will have Biz Markie for one episode!

"Empire" season 3 cast member Taraji P. Henson recently confirmed that hip-hop legend Biz Markie has been tapped to appear in the FOX TV series.

On her Instagram account, the actress shared a selfie with Markie from the set of "Empire" season 3.

"Look who we high jacked for #Empire the great @officialbizmarkie," she captioned the photo.

Henson also posted a video of Markie singing while on set.

"#random jam session #SetLife #Empire @officialbizmarkie @theterrencehoward," she wrote.

As of late, it is still unclear what role the hip-hop artist would play and whether or not he will part of the series for only one episode.

Brian Mcknight Releases New Single & Video “Everything”

With wedding season fully underway, Brian McKnight has returned with a brand new song just right for those momentous occasions.  Following the release of his 12th studio album Better, the R&B veteran has unveiled a new single and accompanying video, “Everything.”

In line with the singer/songwriter’s classic music, the record is a heartfelt piano-laden ballad focused on deep emotion filled love and devotion.

“Beautiful words almost describe the beautiful heart you have beating inside / In my arms you always stay ’cause you’re the song that I sing, you’re the music I play / Baby, all I need is you to love,” he sings.

The accompanying visual features touching footage of various couples tying the knot and celebrating their new bond with friends and family.

New Hip Hop: Rae Sremmurd Feat. Migos – ‘Look Alive (Remix)’

Rae Sremmurd and Migos are so far out of sight on the remix to “Look Alive.”

Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff join Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi on the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced slapper, adding their ATL flavor to the Mississippi fire.

“She don’t need no advice,” raps Quavo. “That’s a pro, she can ride like a bike / I’m so far out of sight / You need a telescope to find / I fuck hoes and all look dimes / Don’t waste my time / Kendrick Lamar, don’t kill my vibe.”

CONGRATS! Misty Copeland has married Olu Evans!

ballerina Misty Copeland just twirled her way down the aisle at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach to marry her beau of 10 years, Olu Evans.

E! News confirms Misty and Olu wed in front of 100 guests at their "small and intimate" ceremony on Sunday.  She walked down the aisle in an ethereal gown designed by Inbal Dror and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

The setting was decorated with pink and white hydrangeas.

The 33-year-old principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre previously explained what she wanted her wedding to be.  She told E! News:

"It's interesting that I'm a ballerina, which is so girly and feminine and what every little girl dreams of," she explained. "But it's a character I'm playing, and that's so much fun to be that. It's, I guess, how people envision their wedding days, and that's my life."

She continued, "So I feel like I get to become a fairy princess on stage and wear incredible costumes and gowns to galas. So, for me, I just want to have a simple, as easy-going day as I can have and just not have it be a big show. I just want it to be simple and classy and not feel like I'm in a tutu."

We’re told execs want to retool the show, adding more current-affairs coverage and pop culture.

LeToya Luckett And Rob Hill Sr. Quietly Marry And Divorce?

LeToya Luckett and Rob Hill, Sr. just finalized their divorce, TMZ reports. Although it was announced that the couple was engaged in January, the site reports they actually wed that month, and parted ways nearly three months after.

via TMZ: The divorce was just finalized, and according to docs it all seems pretty cordial — with such a short marriage there wasn’t much community property to divvy up.

The one celebrity difference — the clause about “Social media postings/public statements.” It states neither will make public statements about each other or “provide photos, videos, recordings or other documents” to media outlets and blogs.

Rob opened up about their split during a recent interview with DJ Quicksilva and Lil Mo – at the time stating that they have a beautiful relationship, but were not getting married at this point. “We understand each other as friends, the right way,” he said. “There are certain things she needs to do for herself, and there are certain things I need to do.”

BoxOffice news: Bourne’ At $59.2M; ‘Moms’ Purses $23.8M; ‘Nerve’ Steady – Box Office Final

Jason Bourne, which opened day and date here and abroad, ended it’s three-day a little lighter than $60M domestically, but worldwide it still chased in a strong $109.9M. But expect this film and all  pictures in the marketplace to take a hit next weekend when Warner Bros.’ highly anticipated Suicide Squad rumbles into theaters running on all cylinders. Well, almost all cylinders, as tracking is a little light for older females so that may be some good news for STX Entertainment’s counter-programmer Bad Moms which knocked in $23.8M over the three day. But the new Warner Bros. DC Comics’ film — which could grab a three-day gross of $135M to $140M and maybe even over that — will squarely hit the jaw of the PG-13 demo on Lionsgate’s Nerve which pulled in an expected $9.4M three-day and $15.49M for its five-day gross. Star Trek Beyond dropped 58% in its second weekend which is sad news for Paramount’s franchise while the horror film Lights Out held its audience by dropping only 50% in its sophomore frame.\

I actually feel sorry for Melania Trump a little bit. Her husband is a dog-poo-covered train crashing into a dumpster fire, but I guess people are like “Donald Trump’s insanity is the New Normal,” so Melania is being nitpicked to death. Of course, she brought some of this on herself. No one forced her to go out on stage at the RNC and plagiarize Michelle Obama. I’m not even entirely sure it was her fault, but we’ll probably never know. But on the other hand, she never expected to be anything other than a trophy wife to a reality show personality, and trophy wives are held to a different standard than the soul-crushing standards for political spouses. This week’s big Melania kerfuffle is actually a rumor that’s been circulating for months. I remember hearing something vague about it a while back, but now even People Magazine is saying that Melania Trump has probably been lying for years about having earned a college degree.

Melania Trump’s official website has been wiped from the Internet after questions arose recently over whether the site’s claim that she holds a college degree is in fact true. MelaniaTrump.com now reroutes to the homepage of the Trump Organization’s website, the extensive biography page of which bears no mention of Donald Trump’s wife. However, screengrabs from her former website obtained by the Huffington Post show that she claimed to have earned “a degree in design and architecture at University in Slovenia” before pursuing her modeling career.

Additionally, much of the 46-year-old’s biography on the 2016 Republican National Convention’s website echoes the wording used on her former website, including her claim of “obtaining a degree in design and architecture at University in Slovenia.”

However, a recent GQ profile of Trump said she “decamped to Milan after her first year of college, effectively dropping out.” And a new unauthorized biography of the former model, Melania Trump: The Inside Story, claims that Trump’s educational history was fabricated in order to maintain a certain image, The Hill reports.

“[Donald Trump and his advisers] were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated,” the biographers claim.

Trump’s education came into question earlier this month after it was discovered that her GOP convention speech plagiarized parts of a 2008 speech by Michelle Obama. Although Trump originally claimed to have written the entire speech herself, a Trump campaign staffer soon took responsibility for the plagiarism, claiming that Trump had sent her passages of Obama’s speech as inspiration for her own speech but the staffer failed to change the wording of those passages.

I’m including some of the screencapped images from Melania’s website (before it got taken down), which HuffPo thoughtfully grabbed. HuffPo also notes that if Trump’s advisors wanted to make Melania sound smart/educated, they were certainly worried about it a long time ago, because chica has been lying about her education since 2012 or earlier.

Much like the plagiarized speech, I don’t understand why the Trump campaign is incapable of simply admitting a mistake and apologizing. But the Donald is never wrong, and neither is Melania, apparently. I also don’t understand why we would have to be sold on this idea that Melania is secretly brilliant. I mean…come on. We know she’s not a genius.

Also: imagine the glee with which the Republicans would have taken down a Democratic spouse if said spouse had lied about their education.

Chris Brown Trial Underway: Singer's Bodyguard Found Guilty Of Assault

Starting off his week with legal proceedings, Chris Brown headed to court for the beginning of his trial on Monday (April 21).

Yesterday his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy was found guilty of misdemeanor assault. Chris will go on trial for the same crime this afternoon.

Hollosy and Brown were accused of attacking a man outside the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. in October 2013, and the bodyguard's verdict does not bode well for Brown.

If the 24-year-old is found guilty, his probation for his previous assault charges involving Rihanna could be revoked. If that occurs, Chris could face more time in jail.

Brown is currently behind bars for an arrest made last month.

WELL DAMN: Knicks fire entire coaching staff

Mike Woodson has been fired as the New York Knicks' head coach, the team announced Monday morning.

With Prez Phil in charge and the specter of Coach Phil looming, the Knicks job may be a ménage à triangle.

New Knicks president Phil Jackson announced in a release that the entire coaching staff was relieved of its duties.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for Mike Woodson and his entire staff," Jackson said. "The coaches and players on this team had an extremely difficult 2013-14 season, and blame should not be put on one individual. But the time has come for change throughout the franchise as we start the journey to assess and build this team for next season and beyond.

"Everyone in this franchise owes a great deal of gratitude to what Mike and his staff have done. We wish him the best."

Woodson had one year remaining on the three-year contract he signed with the Knicks before the 2011-12 season.

When reached for comment, Woodson said he was "doing fine."

"I'm in my office packing as we speak," he told ESPN. "I'm not really entertaining anything with the media right now. I'm just trying to clear my head. That's what I'm doing. ... I'm fine. I have been doing this a long time. I'm good, really good. It's time to move on."

Shooting guard J.R. Smith called the firing "sad."

"He was great to me. I think I got a fair shake for the first time in a while under him," Smith told ESPN. "He treated me how he wanted to be treated. It sucks, but there is nothing I can do about it.

"I think he did a great job. I think he did a good job with me. He responded to the players. It's just a sad day for him, for me and my teammates."

Jackson said he will immediately begin to conduct a coaching search to find a replacement.

The 13-time NBA champion (11 titles as a coach) is expected to seek a coach with an intimate knowledge of the triangle offense. Former Suns general manager and current TNT analyst Steve Kerr, who won three NBA titles under Jackson with the Chicago Bulls, has been mentioned most often as a potential replacement.

Woodson coached the Knicks for the past two seasons after taking over on an interim basis in 2011 following Mike D'Antoni's resignation. Woodson guided the Knicks to a 54-win regular season and a division title in 2012-13, in addition to their first playoff series win in 13 seasons.

Following the team's success in 2012-13, owner James Dolan told staffers on the eve of the 2013-14 season that he felt the Knicks could compete for an NBA title. They fell well short of those expectations.

New York started the season 3-13, suffered through losing streaks of nine and seven games and fell as many as 19 games below .500. They won 12 of 15 games in March and early April to climb back into the playoff race but were eliminated late last week, missing out on the postseason for the first time in four seasons.

"I don't know what is fair or not," Smith said of the firing. "I'm not the person dealing with fair or not. It would've been nice to see him get another year at least, but Phil Jackson has won a lot of championships and knows basketball, so we have to trust in that."

Keyshawn Johnson Arrested For Domestic Violence, Out On Bail

Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson was arrested for domestic violence after getting into an argument with his girlfriend that allegedly turned physical.

Reports TMZ:

The former NFL star wide receiver was busted in Calabasas, CA early Monday morning.

According to law enforcement ... Keyshawn was involved in a fight with his ex-girlfriend when things allegedly got physical. Sources say he smashed her phone, causing a gash to her hand.

Our sources say the two had an up-and-down relationship and were arguing over marriage.

Johnson was formally arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and booked.

Bail was set at 20K. Keyshawn made bail and is now out.

We gotta heat both sides.

Johnson is currently an analyst for ESPN, for now.

Brooklyn Teen Shot After Cutting Nike Air Foamposite Pro Line

The sneaker game is getting all too real, and violent. On Saturday a Brooklyn teen who cut a long line of people outside a Foot Locker waiting to buy Nike Air Foamposite Pros in a special "Yeezy" colorway, was shot for his trouble.

This story has more layers than a poor kid trying to cop sneakers got caught up in the crossfire, though.

Reports the New York Daily News:

The victim, identified by friends as Isaiah Martinez, was shot early Saturday as he tried to buy a pair of Kanye West-designed sneakers from a Brooklyn Foot Locker, cops and witnesses said.

Martinez apparently cut a long line of eager customers looking to buy the new Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Yeezy” sneakers moments before the 6 a.m. shooting outside the Knickerbocker Ave. store, near Stanhope St., in Bushwick.

“There were people camped out for the sneakers and Isaiah tried to cut the line,” said Edison Cartagena, 21, who described himself as a Martinez pal.

Those patiently waiting for their chance to buy the $250 sneakers at 8 a.m. were outraged by Martinez's move and demanded he go to the back of the line, said Cartagena, who works at a nearby clothing store.

Usually this part of the story is where there may be a scuffle, authorities are called and after some drama everything goes back to relative normal, right? Wrong.

It turns out that Martinez was blatantly not trying to follow proper protocol, and ended up catching a hot lead in his foot.

“They get into a scuffle and one of the guys on line left and told Isaiah he was coming back with a gun,” Cartagena said. “He came back and just fired off four shots.”

“He probably shot him in the foot just to scare him off,” he said. “You know to send a message.'

Paramedics took the teen to Woodhull Hospital with a nonlife-threatening wound.

“I don't think anyone should lose their life over a pair of sneakers,” Cartagena said. “Thankfully he's okay. The whole thing is just crazy.”

Other witnesses said Isaiah mouthed off to the shooter before bullets started flying.

“I guess he tried to get tough with one of the guys he cut,” said witness Jayson Roque, 23, who works at a nearby GameStop. “One of them left and came back with a gun and shot him.

The stores opening was delayed until 11 am but it seems like those on line still got their kicks.

Jason Derulo Reveals Industry Pressure To Marry Girlfriend Jordin Sparks

With the release of his debut album Talk Dirty, cutie Jason Derulo is dishing on the single he wrote for his girlfriend “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks titled, “Marry Me”

Jason got steamy on the stage with Jordin, performing their duet “Vertigo” (above) this week during Universal CityWalk's "Spring Concert Series".  And the “Talk Dirty” singer did an interview with Hot 97 where he explained how he and Jordin are put under a lot of pressure from the music industry to get married...and how the “Marry Me” track came about.

He said:

“I wrote ‘Marry Me’ for Jordin actually and basically what I was saying in the song is we got forever. Why are we rushing? We get a lot of industry pressure and I don’t want her to feel a kind of way. So I wrote this song just for her saying that I swear that I’ll mean it when I say it ‘Will you marry me?’ That’ll be an amazing day when I actually say it to you. She was like ‘the world needs to hear this song’ and I was like ‘Nah, I ain’t about to play this to the world, this is for you.’ She then said ‘play it for some people’ so I played it and I was like ‘aight, let’s release it.”

New Couple Alert: Richard Gere and Padma Lakshmi Are An Item

There’s a new couple in town, as Richard Gere is said to be dating “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi.

According to reports from Page Six, the duo have been together for a short time, but have been spending time together while the “Pretty Woman” actor films in New York City.

The romance comes as the 64-year-old actor is still in the process of divorcing actress Carey Lowell, whom he has been separated from since September.

For her part, Padma was married to novelist Salman Rushdie for three years, and has a young daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell with ex-boyfriend Adam Dell.

Kraft Recalls Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs After Packaging

 Kraft is recalling 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer hots dogs because they are contained in the wrong packaging.

The product labels are incorrect as they do not reflect the ingredients associated with the pasteurized cheese in the cheese dogs, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said in a statement on Sunday.

The products were formulated with milk, which is not declared on the product label, the FSIS said.

The recall is classified a Class I recall – a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.

Tae Heckard and Brandon Jennings Confirm Their Relationship!

Model-actress Tae Heckard, who just recently dated rapper Nelly and NBA baller Brandon Jennings who recently dated Teyana Taylor make it official.

Keke Palmer To Become The Youngest Talk Show Host In History

A few years ago, Keke Palmer was the fourth highest paid child star on television, and now she’s making even more waves in the industry!

Earlier, it was announced that the 20-year-old media maven recently linked up with BET and Telepictures for a new show. And this time, she won’t be acting.

In the new series, tentatively titled “The KeKe Palmer Project,” Keke will be following in the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks, and Queen Latifah with her very own talk show aimed at young adults.

She revealed in a statement:

I like to read quotes that touch on how I am feeling.  If I am dealing with confusion, I will read quotes about clarity and peace of mind as they are very uplifting to me. I started posting these quotes on my twitter page and the fans responded so positively! I realized that many of them were dealing with similar issues and the quotes helped to open up a genuine dialogue between us.

After her followers started saying that she should have her own show, Judge Mathis’ company, Mathis Productions, reached out to make it happen.

On her desire to be a talk show host, Keke revealed:

I come from a very small, poor town just outside of the Chicago area and I know what it’s like to dream and accomplish some of your goals, but I would never want to do a show where I am preaching to anyone because I do not like being preached at.  I want to learn right along with my audience and every show will be a collaborative effort.  I am so thankful to Debra Lee and everyone at the BET Network for providing me with this unique opportunity and platform.

This is amazing! We need more positive young females on television that young women can look up to. I still miss ‘Teen Summit’ back in the day!

When the show premieres in July, Keke will become the youngest talk show host in history. The title is currently held by Ricki Lake, who was 25 when she began her show.

White House hosts annual Easter Egg Roll

Thousands of children, most decked out in their Sunday best, raced across the South Lawn of the White House on Monday in the annual Easter Egg Roll.

Swinging large wooden spoons, scores of kids pushed and prodded brightly colored eggs across the White House lawn.

No eggs were broken, but a few hearts were; the races often ended in tears of frustration.

“I like trying to win everything,” said 4-year-old Charlie Tuesca from Kensington, Md.

Leila Voxakis, 2, who couldn’t make it to the finish line despite the urging of a volunteer, ended up picking up her egg and waddling to the line.

“Everything has been wonderful. This is our first egg roll,” said Leila’s mother, Rana Voxakis, 36, of Virginia. “I’m glad that my little girls could experience it.”

The egg roll, now in its 136th year, featured such celebrities as Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, actor Jim Carrey, singer Ariana Grande, 2014 Miss America Nina Davuluri and Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster.

There also were live performances from pop stars and the Marine Corps Band.

Cam Anthony, the 12-year-old singer who has become a hit on YouTube, started the festivities with a soaring rendition of the national anthem from the Truman Balcony of the White House.

President Obama stepped onto the balcony to welcome the crowd of more than 30,000 people and introduce first lady Michelle Obama.

“Happy Easter! This is the biggest event we have at the White House all year long,” the president told the crowd. He hailed his wife as “the person who makes this all possible.”

The Obamas’ daughters, Sasha and Malia, were not in attendance because they were in school, the first lady’s press secretary, Joanna Rosholm, said.

The theme of this year’s egg roll was “Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape,” part of the first lady’s Let’s Move initiative to encourage fitness and healthful eating among children.

With the egg roll, “we get to celebrate something near and dear to my heart — it’s making sure kids are healthy and active,” Michelle Obama lady said.

Attendees flocked between sports courts, cooking stations, storybook readings and craft areas. They could also take pictures with vegetable mascots, the Easter bunny, Spider-Man and the Minions from the animated movie “Despicable Me.”

The Obamas made their rounds to each of the stations after the introduction. At the story station, the president read “Where the Wild Things Are,” which he says was one of his favorite books as a child. He reads it every year at the Easter Egg Roll.

After the story station, the president went to the basketball and tennis courts, where he played a couple of games and posed for photos with children.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama visited the cooking station and the story station.

According to the White House Historical Association, the egg roll at the president’s residence started in 1878. Previously, an egg roll had been held on the Capitol grounds, but Congress passed a bill forbidding children from playing there because of damage to the lawn. So President Rutherford B. Hayes invited children to roll their eggs on the South Lawn.

“I grew up here and always saw kids doing [the egg roll] on TV,” Alexandria resident Amy Holmes, 44, said Monday. “It’s exciting to finally come and . . . see it through my kids’ eyes.”
