Initially catapulted into our collective consciousness with her breakout role in Spider-Man, she tells Wonderland in Bulgari about the importance of representation, her forthcoming Biffy Clyro-soundtracked tearjerker, and what it’s like to spot Beyoncé on the same dance floor…

#HipHopNews: Beastie Boys' Deluxe Version Of "To The 5 Boroughs" Features B-Sides, Rarities & Remixes!
To celebrate the album’s 15th anniversary, the surviving members of the Beastie Boys — Adam “King Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond — have unleashed a deluxe version of 2004’s To The 5 Boroughs.
The new digital edition features a handful of B-sides and rarities, as well as remixes from producer Just Blaze, Blur guitarist Graham Coxon and J. Wizzle. The Beasties’ official Twitter account unveiled the news last Friday (June 14).
“Hello everybody – To the 5 Boroughs came out 15 years ago today,” the caption read. “For the occasion, twelve rare tracks have just been released digitally in addition to the original 15 songs on the album.”

Check out the To The 5 Boroughs (Deluxe Version) HERE

The Beasties recently celebrated another anniversary. On May 31, Ill Communication turned 25 and the New York-raised Hip Hop legends dropped a mini-documentary titled Still Ill to celebrate the 1994 album.

Beastie Boys have put out eight studio albums throughout the course of their career, culminating with 2011’s Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. They were essentially forced to retire in 2012 when Adam “MCA” Yauch lost his battle with cancer. He was 47.

Bella Thorne Claps back at Whoopi Goldberg: ‘Shame On You’
Bella Thorne took to social media and blasted Whoopi Goldberg for her commentary on “The View” about her leaked photos.
In case you missed it, someone hacked the actress and threatened to leak her nudie pics. So, she leaked them herself to “take her power back.”

Whoopi stated: If you’re famous, I don’t care how old you are. You don’t take nude pictures of yourself.
Once you take that picture it goes into the cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it, and if you don’t know that in 2019 that this is an issue, I’m sorry. You don’t get to do that.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Bella posted a series of posts and videos on her IG story where she blasted Whoopi and told her she was “so displeased and saddened” by her response to the leak.
What are your thoughts?

Janet Mock Signs Historic Netflix Deal, Becomes 1st Transgender Woman To Lead At Major Content Company
Writer/director Janet Mock is kicking doors down for the transgender community with her latest accomplishment! The “Pose” creator is, according to reports.

“The first out transgender woman empowered to call the creative shots at a major content company.”
The three-year, multi-million Netflix deal will allow Janet Mock to create shows and films, giving visibility to both the transgender communities and people of color. One of the products will be a collaboration between she and her “Pose” co-creator, noted TV writer/producer Ryan Murphy on his upcoming Netflix series, “Hollywood.”

Janet Mock celebrated her historic deal, sharing comments from Ryan Murphy and Netflix’s VP of Original Content, Cindy Holland:
“@janetmock I’m excited to announce that I am partnering with @netflix to tell stories on a global platform. So proud to join the ranks of digital content moguls as the first trans woman to call her own creative shots at a major content company. “As a best-selling author, producer and director, Janet Mock has demonstrated she knows how to bring her vision to thrilling, vivid life,” says Cindy Holland, Netflix VP of original content. “She’s a groundbreaker and creative force who we think will fit right in here at Netflix.””
“My mentor, boss and friend @mrrpmurphy told @variety, “Upon my first meeting with Janet, I knew she was a star and had the stuff moguls are made of. Being able to watch her grow, first as a writer, then a producer and now an acclaimed director who’s helmed four episodes for my productions, has been a gift. I am honored to be her mentor and friend, am grateful she’ll be joining me to write and direct on ‘Hollywood,’ and am so excited to see what she creates at Netflix. Janet is a cultural force, and the world needs her stories.””

A few of the projects in development is a drama series about a college-aged trans woman, a post-slavery New Orleans series, and a classic sitcom reboot.

Janet highlighted the importance of representation of all communities in television and film:
“As someone who grew up in front of the TV screen, whether that was watching talk shows or family sitcoms or VHS films, I never thought that I would be embraced. And more than embraced. Given not just a seat at the table but a table of my own making.”

Congratulations, Janet!

Ava DuVernay Slams Donald Trump’s Continued Blame Of Central Park Five: “There’s No Truth To It”
Without any superfluous comment, actress-producer Ava DuVernay made her thoughts crystal clear about Donald Trump and the Central Park Five last night by tweeting a clip from her Netflix miniseries When They See Us.

Within hours of the president reasserting his misleading claim that the so-called Five “admitted their guilt,” DuVernay tweeted a clip from the series in which actual archival footage, used in the Netflix series, shows an ’80s-era Trump proclaiming how he’d “love to be a well-educated black” because of all the advantages society has to offer them. We then see that the 1989 Trump is being watched on TV by the mother of one of the boys wrongly accused of raping the so-called Central Park Jogger.

“They want to kill my son,” says the mother, Linda McCray (played by Marsha Stephanie Blake). “That devil, that devil wants to kill my son….They’re gonna have to come for me first.” (See the tweet below.)

As chronicled in DuVernay’s Netflix series, Trump took a leading role in calling for the deaths of the five falsely accused boys (DNA tests exonerated them in 2002, years after their convictions and imprisonment). Prior to the boys’ trials, Trump took out full-page newspaper ads calling for New York to reinstate the death penalty, in response to the horrendous crime (a serial rapist, unconnected to the boys, later confessed).
The miniseries has brought renewed attention onto the so-called Central Park Five case, including the role that former prosecutor Linda Fairstein played. Yesterday, during a media scrum, Trump was asked about his role in the case and a possible apology to the falsely accused (Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana Jr. and Korey Wise).
“Why do you bring that question up now?,” Trump asked. “It’s an interesting time to bring it up. You have people on both sides of that. They admitted their guilt. If you look at Linda Fairstein and if you look at some of the prosecutors, they think that the city should never have settled that case. So, we’ll leave it at that.”

Later that night, DuVernay attended a Women in Entertainment and Writers Guild of America West screening of the Netflix miniseries, and told The Los Angeles Times about Trump, “It’s expected. There’s nothing he says or does in relation to this case or the lives of black people or people of color that has any weight to it. It’s not our reality, there’s no truth to it.”

Drake's $350k Settlement to Alleged Sexual Assault Victim is the Subject of Complaint Filed by Woman Against Attorney
A woman who accused Drake of sexual assault, and was privately paid a settlement of $350,000 after negotiating with the star, has now filed a complaint against her own attorney which lays out graphic details of the incident. However, Drake's team believes she is lying about the incident, and have now contacted law enforcement to investigate.
The complaint was recently filed by Laquana Morris, aka Layla Lace, with the New York Attorney Grievance Committee.

According to the complaint, Morris states:
"I, Laquana Morris signed a retainer agreement with Alexander Cabereiras on January 23, 2018. I explained to him that I was sexually assaulted by the rapper Drake."
Morris then went into great detail and explained, "How Drake forced me to perform oral on him. It wasn't your ordinary oral it was more so a fetish where he measured a cup and demanded that I spit in the cup until he had measured it. Afterward he dumped the spit on my face repeating, 'I wanna see your face messy.'"

Morris also states, "Being that the incident happening in Manchester UK I had to file a police report over there. I called the Manchester Police Department in June 2017."
Drake was investigated by authorities in the UK based on Morris' complaint. The rapper was eventually cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. Sources close to Drake says he was cleared by law enforcement because the story "simply isn't true.

Afterwards, the lead investigator sent Laquana an email explaining that the reason he wasn't prosecuted is that they couldn't secure a "100%" conviction.

Tension developing in Aretha Franklin will dispute. Her youngest son has filed for control over the late singer's estate.
A fight is emerging over whether a son of Aretha Franklin could be put in charge of the late singer's estate after a 2014 handwritten will was found under cushions in her suburban Detroit home.
Attorneys for the estate said in a court filing Monday that "there is no basis to support the assumption" that Kecalf Franklin has the "ability, skill (and) knowledge" to become personal representative, even if the will is determined to be valid. Franklin's image, music and other assets could turn out to be worth millions of dollars in the years ahead.

Her sons had agreed to put the estate in the hands of Sabrina Owens, a relative who is a university administrator, when no will was found after Franklin's death last August at age 76. But the handwritten document discovered in May could change everything. It appears to shows Franklin wanted Kecalf Franklin to serve as the representative or executor.

A judge in Oakland County, Michigan, held a hearing Monday, but a proposed land sale was on the agenda, not the will or other documents written by Franklin. It could take weeks or months to resolve the issue.
Kecalf Franklin, a Christian rap singer, attended the hearing but declined to comment outside court.

He hired a handwriting expert, Erich Speckin, to look at the will. But the expert wasn't allowed to bring his equipment into the courthouse to complete the exam on June 10, attorneys Juanita Gavin Hughes and Charlene Glover-Hogan said in a court filing.
They said Kecalf Franklin should at least be appointed co-personal representative with Owens in the short term. Attorneys for another Franklin son, Clarence Franklin, oppose the move, saying he's "totally unsuitable."

"That's not up for today," Judge Jennifer Callaghan said.
The estate's attorney, David Bennett, said Owens "has been doing a marvelous job" managing potential business deals involving Franklin's music, life and likeness.

"She is the only one I believe who's capable of continuing that," Bennett told the judge.

Mathew Knowles Says If Beyonce Had Darker Skin, It Would Have 'Affected Her Success'
Beyonce‘s father, Mathew Knowles, is discussing colorism in the music industry.
The 67-year-old record executive and talent manager sat down for an interview on SiriusXM’s The Clay Cane Show on Wednesday (June 19).

During the interview, Mathew talked about the perception of lighter and darker skin tone.
“In the music industry there’s still segregation. Programmers, especially at pop radio, [have] this imagery of what beauty looks like. They wanted that imagery to be the same as singing those records,” he explained.
“If you look back, even like Whitney Houston, if you look at those photos, how they lightened her to make her look lighter in complexion…there’s a perception, colorism, the lighter that you are, the smarter, the more economically…there’s a perception all around the world about color, even with black folks.”

When asked whether he thought Beyonce would have been affected if she had darker skin, he said: “I think she would have had – I think it would have affected her success. And I use Kelly Rowland as an example. She’s a great example. But you know, the great thing is Kelly did exceptional outside of America, especially in Australia. Kelly sold over four million records. She just got off script.”

SiriusXM’s The Clay Cane Show airs weekdays from 12-1 p.m. ET on SiriusXM Urban View channel 126.

She enhanced the look even further in a pair of hot-pink stiletto heels and lipstick in a shade that matched her dress perfectly, finishing it up with multiple bracelets, chandelier-style drop earrings and various rings, wearing her hair in long braids down her back.

Manhattan District Attorney Refuses To Review Cases Handled By Linda Fairstein, Declines To Dismiss Central Park Prosecutor Elizabeth Lederer
A Manhattan District Attorney’s office is refusing to review previous cases handled by the Central Park Five prosecutor, Linda Fairstein. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Following the release of Ava DuVernay’s Netflix four-part series #WhenTheySeeUs, there has been a resurgence of outcry for the life and time lost for Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana,  Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, and Korey Wise. The five boys, now men, were wrongly arrested, charged, convicted and imprisoned for the raping of a white woman in New York’s Central Park.
Linda Fairstein was the lead figure behind the persecution of the men, and now the world wants justice served to her as well as other cases she may have mishandled.

But Manhattan District Attorney #CryrusVance has turned down the opportunity to review Fairstein’s previous cases. In response to a letter from a city council official, sent in by New York Public Advocate #JumaaneWilliams, Vance says he will not be reopening the thousands of cases that were managed by Fairstein. Fairstein was the chief of his office’s Sex Crimes Unit from 1976 and 2002. In addition, Vance also declined to dismiss Elizabeth Lederer, an attorney who was also directly involved in prosecuting the #ExoneratedFive.

“I do not intend to take either action at this time. Instead, I seek your help in publicizing to New Yorkers the availability of my Office’s Conviction Integrity Program process,” Vance wrote in response Friday.

However, in turn, Williams took to Twitter to condemn the decision. “Justice delayed is justice denied, but here, Cy Vance is even denying justice has been delayed. It shouldn’t take another 30 years for us to find out why DA Vance refuses to correct these injustices of the past.”

Lindsay Lohan losing her MTV show and Mykonos nightclub
Page Six has exclusively learned — and it seems the star’s Mykonos nightclub, which serves as the setting for the show, is also closed.
The club opened in May 2018, and the show — which follows its staff’s daily lives — premiered in January to decent ratings.
But viewership then plummeted amid less-than-stellar reviews. The Hollywood Reporter called the show “vapid and tedious.”

“There was a renewal idea that producers hoped would perk it up for a second season,” said a source close to the production. “It would be turned into a show about Lindsay and [her mother] Dina and [sister] Ali, [but] that wasn’t going to happen.”
The show didn’t have “enough drama,” the source added. “They wanted ‘breakdowns.’ That’s not where [Lohan] is at with her life anymore. Their personal business doesn’t need to be aired on television; it’s already in the papers anyway.”
Another source close to the network said it’s still trying to salvage the show.
Meanwhile, a phone number listed for the Mykonos club on TripAdvisor wasn’t working when Page Six attempted to call.

Another number listed on the club’s website connected to Lohan Nightclub in Athens.
A source told us of the apparently defunct Mykonos club: “A friend had reservations this week, and the club just called and said that they will not be opening this season.”
Another source vacationing in Greece last month told us that the club wasn’t open then, either.

“The locals said it was a waste [of time to go],” said the vacationer.
A social media commenter posted last month of the Mykonos club: “They advertised being open for [the] summer season, specifically late May. We drove past and it’s literally [deserted] . . . The Lohan sign is stripped off.”

A Lohan rep confirmed that “she is not doing another season” of the show. MTV didn’t comment.

Danielle Staub and her new fiancé have been receiving death threats
Danielle Staub and her new fiancé have been receiving death threats, a new restraining order claims.
Staub’s fiancé, Oliver Maier, filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend Gina Curko in Englewood, New Jersey, on Tuesday, an insider told Page Six. He claimed that Curko threatened to kill the couple, with the insider noting that Curko has been trying to get back together with Maier.

Staub is included in the temporary order, meaning that Curko cannot communicate with or go near her or Maier.
The trio is due to appear in court on June 25 to determine if the order will be made permanent.

Staub’s rep declined to comment.

Glamour Releases 9 Covers For Their 2018 Woman Of The Year
Each of these women has put in major work to move the world forward this year
Glamour magazine has announced its 2018 ‘Woman of the Year’ by offering nine different cover stories to women who have completely changed the social and political landscape this year. Honorees include the women who took down Larry Nassar, the March for Our Lives activists, Janelle Monet, and Chrissy Teigen.

And we are so here for all of them.

“For the past 28 years, the ‘Glamour’ Women of the Year Awards has honored game changers, rule breakers, and trailblazers,” the magazine says on its website. “This year’s class of extraordinary females is no exception.”
The young, female activists who organized March for Our Lives earlier this year proved they are our country’s collective hope for the future. In the face of gun violence and experiencing unfathomable tragedy and trauma, they have bravely helped steer the country from a dialogue about gun sense to fighting for actual change in the legislature.  “We knew it was time to reclaim that power and hold it,” they tell Glamour. “No one is free until we all are free.”

Each of the survivors of the sexual abuse perpetrated by Larry Nassar is featured on another cover. The story of the horrific abuse these girls endured by a physician they were told to trust made the world realize we need to stop, listen, and believe women.
Judge Rosemarie Aquilina landed her own well-deserved cover since she spared not a single savage remark for Nassar during his hearing. She had no time for his bullshit excuses, and literally tossed aside the entire letter he addressed to the court like the trash that it was. Aquilina was the judge those girls needed in that courtroom.

Other Women of the Year featured on the magazine covers are music superstar Janelle Monet, whose art got everyone talking when she released a much-discussed, female-centric music video earlier this year.
And Viola Davis is featured, because, well, she’s Viola Davis, damn it. She’s been at the heart of so many discussions about how we can better tell women’s stories in the film industry, because she’s spot-on every time.
Kamala Harris, one of the few game-changers and leaders in our country many people feel they can rely on to represent them, is featured on another cover. “Leaders need to speak the truth, even if it’s an uncomfortable truth,” she tells the magazine.
Everyone’s favorite mom and expert in social media savvy, Chrissy Teigen, landed her own cover as well. “I PROMISE I am going to do what I can to live up to this title and live up to the bar set by incredible women like Kamala, Viola, Janelle,” she writes on her own Instagram page. “I am not worthy but I will continue to try to make you laugh, give love through food, and wad the panties of assholes trying to keep you down.”
A 96-year-old park ranger for the National Park Service, Betty Reid Soskin, is also a Glamour cover star. “[I] wear my uniform at all times; because when I’m on the streets or on an escalator or elevator, I am making every little girl of color aware of a career choice she may not have known she had.”
Manalal Sharif, one of the driving forces (literally) behind Saudi Arabia’s campaign to allow women to drive, is also honored as Woman of the Year for 2018. “I was always questioning: Why are there no women leaders? We were invisible in my society, and that bothered me so much.”
Each of these women has helped move our country forward with their voices and their fight. They each come from diverse backgrounds and careers, but they’ve all made a huge difference in their work and many lives across the country and the world.

“They aren’t waiting for the world to change,” Glamour notes. “They’re getting the job done themselves.”

#RHoA: Cynthia Bailey and Eva Marcille wants to show some LACE for their Season outfits for RHOA Season 11
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey and first-time 'Wife Eva Marcille chose unexpected kicks for their Season 11 interview outfits.
On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10, we got to meet Eva Marcille as a new friend in the 'Wives circle. This time around, the stunning model will be returning as an official Real Housewife and this fresh peach is ready to slay Season 11.

The Atlanta mama came with full Eva the Diva force for her first Season 11 sit-down. Eva bared some skin in a blush lace crop top paired with matching blush wide leg trousers. But what really caught our eye was Eva's unexpected footwear: Instead of accessorizing her ensemble with cute but painful heels, Eva opted for fuzzy teal slippers!
Now, let's take a closer look at her pretty in pink glam:
It seems Eva isn't the only Housewife in on the cozy kicks trick — Cynthia Bailey also chose to skip out on the heels and kept things comfy in a pair of fuzzy blue Uggs. Miss Bailey appeared in a curve-hugging burgundy dress with lace panels.

Cynthia completed her ensemble with a sultry beat and full voluminous waves. Hmm, is Cynthia's big hair full of secrets? You'll soon find out.
To find out all the tea that will be spilled in Season 11, tune in to The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere on Sunday, November 4th at 8/7c.

#Empire: Cookie Lyon Makes the Perfect Argument for Prison Reform
The folks over at TV Guide have some interesting TEA concerning Season 5! Adjusting to regular life after serving two years in prison for Anika's (Grace Byers) death has been difficult for Andre (Trai Byers) on Empire, especially since his family is now broke. With his fortune gone and his elitist friends leaving him high and dry, the eldest Lyon son has found himself in a pretty rough spot. But if there's one person he can count on to have his back no matter what, it's his fierce mom Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) who, after spending 17 years in jail, knows exactly what he's going through.

In this sneak peek at Wednesday's episode, titled "The Depth of Grief," Andre confides in Cookie about daily life since his release and how demoralizing it's been to have his former buds turn their backs on him. "My college friends called us animals," he tells her.

Never one to let someone else's opinion bring her down, Cookie delivered the perfect response to those naysayers while also making a strong case for prison reform. "Well did you tell those ignorant asses that just because someone makes a mistake, doesn't make them less than human? What about the people inside that didn't do a damn thing but be born black or brown?" she says in a fiery speech.

Changing the conversation, Andre confesses that while Cookie was behind bars, he told his friends she was dead because that was easier for him to accept than the truth. Again, Cookie has no hard feelings about her son's heartbreaking reveal and instead, expresses her appreciation for him trying to help his friends who are still locked up. "I'm proud of you for trying to help," she tells him.

Wednesday's episode also finds Cookie worried about her son Jamal (Jussie Smollett) who's distraught over his missing boyfriend. Meanwhile, Hakeem (Bryshere "Yazz" Gray) will try to prove to Tiana (Serayah) that he's changed and Lucious and Cookie's (Terrence Howard) new artist Devon (Mario) might be crumbling under pressure.

Empire airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Fox.

#NewMusic: Jessie J Releases First Holiday Album, ‘This Christmas Day’
GRAMMY-nominated Vocal powerhouse Jessie J joins in on the Christmas spirit by releasing her first-ever holiday album, This Christmas Day.

The 11-song project features appearances from legends like Boyz II Men (“Winter Wonderland”) and Babyface (“This Christmas Song”) and tackles classic holiday songs like “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and “Silent Night,” produced by none other than the legendary David Foster.

LISTEN AND STREAM IT HEAR!

“I love Christmas music and am so excited to release this album.” Jessie J talks about the new album, “There are a lot of classics on the album and one original, ‘This Christmas Day’, which also became the title track. A very close friend of mine lost her brother and watching someone I love go through such heavy grief every day was so hard. I wanted to write something that could just bring a little comfort. On Christmas Day we celebrate yes, but she and millions of other people around the world will also reflect and remember loved ones they so wish were here still. It’s a day where family and friends unite in love. This is the meaning behind that song, and why I called the album “This Christmas Day.”

#NewHipHop: Gucci Mane, Kodak Black And Bruno Mars “Wake Up In The Sky”
Gucci Mane, Kodak Black and Bruno Mars are celebrating their colossal collaboration, “Wake Up in the Sky,” with a lighthearted new music video they dropped off earlier today (Oct. 31).
The visual for the song finds each talent donning shiny or floral patterned suits while happily performing on stage in front of an equally flashy theater curtain. Accented by vintage microphones, a toast of champagne and an array of beautiful women dressed for the occasion, it's a fun approach to giving the song the visual treatment.

The Mars-produced track, which may appear on Gucci Mane’s upcoming Evil Genius project, peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month. The collaboration marks the first time that Gucci, Kodak and Bruno all hopped on the same song, with Guwop jokingly asking his fans on Instagram what their group name should be.
“We need a name for our group????” the rapper asked, sharing a still from the spotlighted performance.

WATCH HERE
At this time, Gucci Mane still hasn’t shared the release date for his upcoming new solo album, but he did tease the project with a cinematic trailer back in July. In related news, Gucci Mane is gearing up to hit the road next month and will be bringing along Smokepurpp and Carnage for his Usual Suspects tour.

Candace Owens Responds to Kanye West’s Slam by Lying About BLEXIT Gear
Candace Owens is claiming that she never said that Kanye West designed t-shirts for her BLEXIT movement — but her website sure did!
Owens wrote a lengthy blog post on Wednesday responding to a series of tweets from Kanye West in which he said he was done with politics because he felt “used to spread messages I don’t believe in.”
Ye also said he did not design the shirts for BLEXIT, he simply “introduced Candace to the person who made the logo.”

In her response to Ye’s tweets, Owens wrote, “I never once said that Kanye designed the t-shirts for BLEXIT. This is a lie that seems to have made its way around the world.”
But The Blast took screenshots of the items for sale on Sunday and they clearly said “Design by Kanye West” on them. But when we checked again this morning … that claim has been removed.
Candace Owens said she apologized to Kanye “for any undue stress or pain the effort to correct that rumor has caused him, his business relationships, or his family. He simply never designed them.”

As for the idea that Kanye’s tweets were directed at President Trump (even though Kanye never mentioned him by name) Owens wrote, “I would also like to publicly apologize to President Trump, as I know that Kanye’s tweets were rapidly misinterpreted as a shot to this administration … His tweets were aimed at me and me only, rightfully, for my personal failings. I bare full responsibility.”

So Tamar Braxton is Shooting Solo Spin-Off!
Tamar Braxton is getting into more reality television. The 41-year-old singer revealed she has nabbed another spin-off, sans her ex-husband Vince Herbert. This time, the cameras will be following her on what life is looking like after separating from Vince.

Tamar, who's currently starring in Snoop Dogg's "Redemption of a Dog," revealed the spin-off news during a recent radio interview. And she also confirmed she's still taping for "Braxton Family Values" even after all the drama with Iyanala Vanzant and her sisters. We know y'all remember when she said she was DONE with the show.

"Well, I’m definitely still shooting The Braxtons and I have another spin-off show," she said. "It’s not with Vince this time. It’s Tamar and my life now, where I am now. And a lot of other great things. And maybe some music, who knows?"

We wonder if her new Nigerian BAE will be starring on the show. Tay Tay's first spin-off, "Tamar & Vince," premiered on WEtv in 2012 and aired for 5 seasons.

Khloe Kardashian Flies To Cleveland To Support Baby Daddy, Tristan Thompson, Source Says The Two Are “Still Working On Things”
Another day, another new decision in the undefined relationship between Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson.

Just days after sources said Khloe seemed “very much” over her baby daddy and happy in Los Angeles with family, the youngest sister of the Kardashian family tree teased her return to Cleveland with a picture of “Welcome Home” balloons, accompanied by the caption, “Thank you baby.”
Shortly after that, the reality star was spotted at Thompson’s basketball game in The Land, sparking rumors of a reconciliation. However, according to Entertainment Tonight, the signs and recent sighting does not mean the two are back on.

“Khloe and Tristan are still working on things, but know whatever they decide to do moving forward, it will be whatever is best for their daughter, True,” a source told the publication. “Khloe isn’t certain how long she will be in Cleveland and may fly back for her mom, Kris [Jenner’s], birthday next week, but isn’t sure. A lot is dependent on how things go with her and Tristan.”
“While those closest to her have discussed the chance Tristan is cheating again, Khloe just laughs it off,” the source continued. “[She] says, ‘Those people are crazy.’”

Although the two are still working things out, sources said earlier this month that the reality star is “so incredibly happy” with Tristan as a father, and with that, she’s still very much interested in building a life with “the man she loves.”
“Khloe comes from a big family and she is not going to ruin that fantasy of building a life with the man she loves,” the source said, at the time. “It’s not even a conversation —she won’t talk about it with anyone. Her sisters and friends, of course, have brought it up because they truly worry history will repeat itself and she could end up devastated like she did with [ex-husband] Lamar [Odom], but for now, she is standing by her man. Everyone who tries to bring it up with her, the response is always that she loves him, and ‘We are all good.”

Should Khloe Kardashian try to make it work with Tristan Thompson for their daughter, or is she better of co-parenting with Thompson for the sake of her peace of mind?

Michelle Obama’s “When We All Vote” Campaign To Host Star-Studded “Telethon For America” To Boost Voter Turnout
Forever First Lady Michelle Obama has hit the ground running in her attempt to encourage Americans, both young and old, to register and vote.
Last month, Obama, alongside her “When We All Vote” campaign launched a Week of Action to help spike voter turnout, and now, the non-partisan, non-profit campaign is teaming up with YouTube, Lyft and ICM Partners to host the first-ever “Telethon for America” to further promote their efforts.

Created by comedian Ben Gleib, the Telethon, which is the first telethon in history with a goal of raising zero dollars, will feature a star-studded panel of sponsors, including Chelsea Handler, Jessica Alba, Lil Rel, Alyssa Milano and many more, for the sole purpose of taking pledges to increase voter turnout.
According to a press release, the live-streamed event will kick off on Monday, November 5th with “live performances, comedy, music, pre-taped segments and extensive interaction with our celebrity phone bank who will be calling OUT to fans and potential voters to ensure they will vote the day after the telecast.”

“This is a great opportunity to reach millions of voters the day before one of the most important elections of our lifetime to remind them that their vote is their voice and their vote is their power,” Kyle Lierman, CEO of When We All Vote, said. “Not only will we encourage voters to go vote and take their friends and families with them, but we’ll arm them with all the tools and information they need to cast their ballot.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Telethon will stream live on YouTube, Facebook Live and Comedy Central Online.

Naomi Watts To Star In ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel For HBO
After lengthy negotiations, Naomi Watts has signed on to lead the ensemble cast of HBO’s Game Of Thrones prequel pilot, from writer Jane Goldman and author/GOT co-executive producer George R.R. Martin.
Created by Goldman and Martin and written by Goldman based on a story by her and Martin, the untitled prequel takes place thousands of years before the events of Game Of Thrones. It chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.

The creative team behind the project is not giving away much about Watts’ character — she will play a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.
Goldman serves as showrunner and will executive produce alongside Martin as well as fellow GOT co-executive producer Vince Gerardis and Damages and Bloodline co-creator Daniel Zelman. Added since the June pilot green light are former BBC Studios executive James Farrell and Jim Danger Gray (Orange Is the New Black, Hannibal) as executive producers and Chris Symes (The Alienist) as co-executive producer. As previously announced, GOT creators/exec producers David Benioff and  D. B. Weiss have no involvement in the potential offshoots.

GOT, created by Benioff and Weiss, has a male lead, Jon Snow. Looking to differentiate itself from the mothership series and coming from a female writer, Goldman, it was a logical assumption that the prequel could have a female lead, something Watts’ high-profile casting seems to reaffirm. That is not exactly the case, HBO President of programming Casey Bloys told Deadline in July.

“There are very strong female characters but it’s an ensemble, there are men and women,” he said. “Jane is a very good writer, we don’t want to limit her to writing female leads. There are a lot of very complicated leads in (the pilot).”

None of the actors from the current show will appear on the prequel, which originally was set 8,000 years before GOT. “It’s a very different setting, a very different time in Westeros, It will feel different but still Game of Thrones,” Bloys said in August.

Two-time Oscar nominee Watts recently signed on to star as Gretchen Carlson opposite Russell Crowe in Showtime’s Roger Ailes limited series. She most recently starred in Ophelia with Daisy Ridley and will next be seen in Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, The Wolf Hour, Boss Level and Luce. Other recent projects include David Lynch’s Twin Peaks sequel limited series for Showtime, Netflix’s Gypsy series, Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry, and The Glass Castle with Brie Larson and Woody Harrelson. Watts is repped by CAA; Untitled Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson Teller.

Gospel Artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard defends her friend Nicki Minaj in recent IG feud
Tasha Cobbs Leonard is one of the most prolific gospel artists of our time. While promoting her Revival tour, which kicks off on November 1 in Atlanta, she stopped by rolling out to discuss her tour, new live album and her new eyewear line, Fritz Eyewear.  She also acknowledged her excitement over hearing her song “You Know My Name” has been nominated for a Grammy, best gospel performance/song. Cobbs Leonard is especially excited because she collaborated with a writer from South Africa.
“To merge different sounds from different cultures is amazing and it shows how God made us different on purpose. I believe that instead of looking at each other through our differences, there is an opportunity to realize we can’t live without one another,” Cobbs Leonard said.

Not only is she a heavy hitter in the international gospel world, but she has a large fan base that includes urban music listeners, as well. Much like her mentors, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams, Cobbs Leonard has taken the opportunity to collaborate musically with mainstream artists. Last year, Cobbs Leonard received backlash after adding Nicki Minaj as a feature on her “I’m Getting Ready” single. The single released in 2017 remains at the top of the gospel charts.

“What people don’t know is that Nicki and I have a relationship and it started years ago,” Cobbs Leonard explained. “People see others in the spotlight and they often don’t know the whole story about them. The truth is that Nicki grew up in the church, her Mom is a minister, she has a relationship with God. She reached out to me on Twitter after hearing me sing “Break Every Chain.” We started talking back and forth and that’s how that collaboration happened.”

Cobbs Leonard says she spoke with Minaj just a few days ago but instead of focusing on the mean words exchanged between Minaj and Cardi B in their recent social media feud, she chose to focus on the end result. She said, “If you’ll notice even after they did all they did on Instagram, Nicki chose to squash everything and focus on positivity, and so did Cardi. What matters is they both made the right decision and showed women they can have differences and end on a positive note. My prayer is that they continue to let it go.”

“Many times, it’s tricky with women. The enemy attacks women and keeps them fighting because they know that women are the backbone of most businesses. It’s our job to be responsible for our actions and our words and realize how much influence we truly have,” Cobbs Leonard added.

While she realizes many other gospel artists or influencers may shy away from collaborating with urban or pop artists, she feels her mandate is to do the opposite.

She revealed, “The Bible tells us to go into the hedges and highways and compel them to come to Jesus. It doesn’t say for us to save them; it says for us to compel them. It’s my responsibility to walk upright and let my relationship with him compel others; it’s not our responsibility to save them, or stay away from them. We are we are supposed to go to them and lead by example.”

LeToya Luckett Opens Up About Having A Miscarriage – “Carrying a Baby Is Not Easy”
LeToya Luckett is opening up about her anxiety over being pregnant after losing a child a few years ago. The singer and actress reveals that unbeknownst to fans, she had suffered a miscarriage of her first child back in 2015. And now that she’s pregnant again, she still gets nervous. She recalls a time she had to go to the hospital and doctors thought she was in pre-labor.

We flew up to Dallas to visit Madison and the pain hadn’t eased up yet. So, I went to the doctor and immediately they were like, ‘You’re having full blown contractions. You need to go to the ER.’ They said they wanted to run tests to make sure I wasn’t going into pre-labor which at the time would have not been good at all for me or the baby. At that stage, they can’t really do anything if something happens to the baby. I was terrified. Especially with what happened last time, going from a miscarriage to now.

Fighting back tears, LeToya opens up a bit more about how her miscarriage made her very cautious during this pregnancy.

Especially now being pregnant again, I remember for my first trimester I was terrified the whole time. Almost not really wanting to accept that I was pregnant because I didn’t want it to happen again and I wanted a baby so bad. Carrying a baby is not easy. It is not.

Fortunately, tests were run and the results came back that Toya was not experiencing labor. Great news for LeToya and her baby girl.

Nurse Fired For Wearing Blackface For Beyoncé Costume Alyssa Brook
A Missouri nurse has been fired after using blackface to dress as Beyoncé for Halloween.

Shelbi Heenan posted a photo of her in the costume to her Facebook account on Monday with her boyfriend, also in blackface, dressed as Jay-Z. The photo quickly went viral and by lunchtime, St. Luke’s hospital in Lee’s Summit released a statement saying Heenan was no longer an employee.

“While it is against Saint Luke’s policy to comment on specific personnel matters, we can confirm that this individual is no longer a Saint Luke’s employee. Saint Luke’s is deeply committed to our culture of diversity and inclusion. It is fundamental to who we are as an organization and we vigorously protect it on behalf of all our patients and employees and expect those who represent us to do the same,” the statement read.

According to the NY Post, the woman’s Facebook account was no longer active by Wednesday, however, a photo of her from 2009 showed her dressed in blackface again as a member of Destiny’s Child.

Many were outraged in the local community,
“The fact that this racist behavior persists is simply an indication that our racist history is not past, basically,” Matthew Osborn, associate professor of early American history at UMKC said.

“African-Americans, in our history have been the most exploited, most marginalized group and yet African culture is inseparable from American popular culture. It’s at the heart of popular culture, music, sports, theater and film. That is something about American society and culture that we haven`t really come to grips with. Why is it that the racial divisions that exist here in Kansas City exist while we all enjoy so much of African-American culture?” he added.
