Colin Kaepernick’s GF has a Few words for his Critics!
Colin Kaepernick’s ongoing struggle with the NFL has continued for months, the 29 year old quarterback has yet to be signed since he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers back in March.
In addition to professional football, Kaepernick gained national attention when he refused to stand for the National Anthem as a protest against the mistreatment of black and brown people in the United States.  He has be vilified by conservative groups and seemingly blacklisted by the NFL.

This week, former NFL linebacker, Ray Lewis took to social media, chastising Kaepernick for being so outspoken in favor of human rights, saying that Colin should keep his activism private, which sort of defeats the purpose of a protest, but ok.
Kaepernick is using his own privilege to take a stand and has stated early on in his protest that “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

It is also important to mention that even though Kaepernick is currently a free agent (read UNEMPLOYED) that hasn’t stopped him from fulfilling his promise of donating $1 Million dollars to charities of his choosing, including the Mni Wiconi Health Clinic at Standing Rock, Appetite for Change, and SOUL (Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation).

Despite of what people think of Nessa’s tweet, we’re humbled by the generosity of Kaepernick in the midst of this controversy.

Rob Kardashian And Blac Chyna Reportedly Trying To Work Things Out Before Next Court Date
Well, it looks like Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are trying to put their differences aside. People Magazine reports that the former lovebirds are trying to resolve their issues before their next court date.

Chyna’s attorney Lisa Bloom told People Magazine that both parties are “attempting to work out an amicable resolution of all issues.”

If not, the high-profile lawyer said Rob will be seeing them in court on September 18 to face “long-term consequences…for his vicious online attacks on Blac Chyna.”

Raven Symone Wishes She Grew Up in Today's More Body-Positive Era
Raven Symone has spoken out about how important it is to her that all body types are celebrated on Raven’s Home — and now she is opening up about how that was not at all the case in her (very public) childhood.
“I wish I was living now as a younger person,” the 31-year old actress said in an interview, “I probably wouldn’t have so many mental issues.”

Raven went on to detail how she was told she was “too big” to perform in concert when she was younger.
“I still did it!” she remembers to People Now. “I was on tour forever because it’s not about your size, it’s about what you have to say, if you can sing or dance, and performing. It’s not about your size.”

Fortunately, she thinks things are getting better in terms of body positivity.

“In this day and age you have all kinds, and it’s funny, it’s serious, it’s every color, it’s every head shape, it’s every hair,” she continued, “And there’s androgyny, and there’s LGBT coming in, and it feels good. We didn’t have it enough last time and I guess that’s what the past is for — to make sure the present is what it needs to be.”

We’re glad she made it through the tough times to be the body-positive role model she is today.

Wiz Khalifa’s Mom SUES Amber Rose For Defamation – Unfit Parenting Accusations, CPS Calls & More!
It’s some messy ish going on between two of the ladies in Wiz's life. Apparently, Amber and his mother do NOT get along. So much so, Wiz’s mother, Katie “Peachie” Wimbbush-Polk, has pulled the trigger on a defamation lawsuit against the Slut Walk creator.

According to the Washington County Observer-Reporter, Peachie wants to drag Amber into court over a “profanity laced” phone call where Amber allegedly accused her -- to a third party -- of being a negligent parent.
It gets worse. Amber allegedly blamed Peachie for the death of Wiz’s sibling, Dorien.  During a heated phone conversation, Amber said Peachie was now unfit to watch her little grandson Sebastian Thomaz (who Amber shares with Wiz).

The site reports: [Amber Rose] Levonchuck, a resident of Tarzana, Calif., is alleged in the suit to have made a call June 19 to a phone linked to Wimbush-Polk’s account. The person who had the phone that day was a friend and former employee, Danesa Letic, who was in Louisiana, the suit claims.
Letic’s 5-year-old niece actually answered the call, and the suit alleges Levonchuck immediately “launched into a profane attack.” The niece gave the phone to her aunt, who eventually was able to identify herself. According to the suit, even after knowing she was speaking with a third party, the caller alleged Wimbush-Polk had allowed her own child, Dorien, to die and she was unfit to visit or care for Levonchuck’s and Khalifa’s 4-year-old son, Sebastian.

Khalifa’s sibling, Dorien Thomaz, died Feb. 20, 2017, of complications from lymphoma.
So, what prompted the call?  Child protective services were called on Amber, however Peachie claims she “made no such report at or around that time.”

Peachie’s lawyer claims Amber “impute(d) criminality,” which is “incompatible with her status as a grandmother and her status as a volunteer mentoring at-risk youth,” which require adults to have cleared background checks.

Wiz’s mom is gunning for more than $50,000, which includes court costs, interest, punitive and other damages.

Trial finally begins for DC man accused of murdering Transwoman Deoni JaParker  5 years ago
Deoni JaParker Jones was quietly sitting at a DC bus stop in 2012 when she was killed by a stranger who plunged a knife into her head and ran away. Five years later, after an extended back-and-forth over his competency to stand trial, Gary Montgomery is on trial for killing her.
Montgomery was arrested two weeks after the crime. He has been charged with first degree murder.

Security footage from that night shows the 60 year-old man, who has a history of drug abuse, walking up to the bus station and a witness who sat with the two of them in the shelter said he was staring intently at the victim.
“He kept staring at her and she kept ignoring him, looking at her phone instead,” Gabriel testified in court according to the Washington Post. “She was visibly uncomfortable.”
Jones death spawned local vigils and was part of a national outcry over the prevalence of hate crimes against transgender women – especially trans women of color. Sixteen transgender women have been killed so far this year.

But prosecutors haven’t charged Montgomery with a hate crime, saying there isn’t any proof of that. During an interview with police, Montgomery could only describe the victim as “the pretty lady.”

The length of time from Montgomery’s arrest to his trial has been incredibly long after extended legal wranglings over the state of his mental health. Doctors at a local psychiatric hospital where he has been held since he was arrested, St. Elizabeth’s, diagnosed Montgomery with schizophrenia. A judge ruled in late 2016 that his health had improved following his latest psychiatric examination making him capable of standing trial.

“It should not have taken five and a half years to get to a trial,” Jones’ stepfather, Alvin Bethea, told the Washington Blade. “This is not just painful to my wife and me but also to the LGBT community whose members only want to be able to live their lives without danger.”

Call CPS! Houston Woman Charged After Using Taser to Punish Son For Getting In Trouble at School
Whitney White was arrested after her 5-year-old son told police she tasted him for “getting in trouble at school.”
According to KPRC Houston: Police said White’s son’s injuries were caused by a slap to the face and being hit with a belt. Court documents indicate White said she became frustrated with her son because he refused to study his lessons.

While police were investigating that incident, White’s son told officers his mom used a Taser on him last November. Court documents show the boy said, “I was five years old when the defendant tased me on my arm because I got in trouble at school. From zero to 10, it hurt 10.”
According to court documents, when White was asked about this she said, “My anger management class told me not to tase him but we didn’t go into what else to do.”
White’s son and a 2-week-old sibling are in the temporary custody of Child Protective Services and are being cared for by a relative.

White is allowed supervised contact with her infant because she is still breast-feeding. White declined to answer questions after an initial appearance before a judge.

We used to get disciplined for getting in trouble at school back in the day, but using a taser on your child is crossing the line. I hope she gets the help she needs and that the kids stay far away from her.

The Daily Buzz For May 25

Snapshot: Prince for Ebony Magazine June/July 2016
The June/July cover of Ebony Magazine will feature the late Iconic singer Prince for Black Music Month. Journalist for Ebony Mark Anthony Neal pinned a great article titled When a Race Man’s Color is Purple
Through his support of Black Lives Matter, contributions to the United Negro College Fund and other organizations, Prince was down for the cause

When an icon such as Prince Rogers Nelson transitions, he becomes a torch for both nostalgia and the power of music to unite, proving an artist could transcend race. To be sure, Prince—with songs that included “Controversy” (“Am I Black or White? Am I straight or gay?”)—messed around enough with the grays. The myth of his mixed-race identity even foregrounds his cinematic breakthrough with Purple Rain. But Prince’s choices were concessions to the prejudices of the marketplace, not the lived realities of race.
In ways that reflect his upbringing as a working-class Black kid from the American Midwest (an AFL-CIO statement after his death revealed he was a 40-plus-year member of labor unions), he was always a race man.
Prince came of age as an artist and celebrity in an era when the entertainment industry, if not American society in general, was still deeply ambivalent about Black male sexuality. If Teddy Pendergrass represented the apex of potent Black male sexuality in the mainstream in the late 1970s, it’s notable that the men who vied for that throne in the early ’80s were alternately more flamboyant and subdued. While Rick James, Michael Jackson and Prince all sought to be Black men who regularly adorned the bedroom walls of teenage American girls, Prince’s persona was the one that pushed nontraditional boundaries around gender, sexuality and race. READ MORE HERE

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey Reunite in L.A
Recently, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey were spotted at The Abbey in West Hollywood, catching each other up on the latest tea.
It’s reported  that the two "Real Housewives of Atlanta" stars' friendship seemed to be in a much better place.
"Both sporting ball caps, the two former frenemies seemed to be back on track with their once thriving friendship as they were spotted chatting at a private table while at The Abbey," the source stated.
Check out NeNe and Cynthia's photos from their night below!
After their falling out on season 7, NeNe and Cynthia tried to repair their once solid friendship on season 8. NeNe made a surprise appearance on the cast's trip to Jamaica, where she had to fight off Kenya Moore for the title of Cynthia's BFF.

Cynthia, however, thought this drama was a bit childish."It's pretty amazing that I'm in a love triangle about BFFs like high school," Cynthia told KTLA in February.
NeNe and Cynthia's girl time came shortly before filming for season 9 of "RHOA," allegedly, kicks off. Cynthia is expected to return, and fans are hopeful that NeNe will reprise her full-time role on the show, after quitting for season 8.

If both ladies are featured on season 9 together, it will be great to see them be so close again.
Are you happy to see NeNe and Cynthia be best friends again, or Nah?

#EMPIRE: Jussie Smollett Says Lee Daniels Got Death Threats After He Jokingly Said Goodbye to 'Empire'
In the strange and Get a Life files! The actor who plays Jamal sets the record straight on his joke about his fans-favorite character being written off on 'Empire' after fans got mad at the series creator.
Jussie Smollett confirms that Jamal will be back for "Empire" season 3. The actor feels the needs to assure fans of his return to the next installment of the hip-hop drama after the series creator, Lee Daniels, got death threats following an episode where his fans-favorite character was shot in the stomach and rushed to the hospital.

Smollett added fuel to Jamal's possible demise back then by tweeting, "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time w/ @EmpireFOX. I love you all. Truth. Time 2 make a record & some movies." He then backtracked on his message, "Listen 2 my words...I'll see y'all season 3. #IAintGoingNoWhere #IAintNoDumbHo #StillIRise #EmpireFinale #empire."

The actor later explained that he clarified his cryptic message after learning that his joke got serious real fast. "I was thinking my little core group of amazing fans would be like, 'What?' " he said at an event in Los Angeles. "But it just went so much further. There were calls about it, and Lee was getting death threats about it."

Jamal did survive the shooting, but he won't sing again until his family ends their feuds. "It changes him and impact him in huge and small ways," Showrunner Ilene Chaiken said. "As I said, physical pain, emotional trauma and all of the revelations that come to a head in this finale about who his family is and whether or not that's who they're destined to be." .

U.S. prosecutors to seek death penalty in South Carolina church shooting
CHARLESTON, S.C. Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty for a white man accused of killing nine black parishioners at a historic church in Charleston, South Carolina, last June, the U.S. Justice Department said on Tuesday.
"The nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm compelled this decision," Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a statement.

Dylann Roof, 22, is accused of opening fire on June 17, 2015, during a Bible study session at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. The killings shook the country and intensified the debate about race in America.
He faces 33 federal charges, including hate crimes, obstruction of religion and firearms offenses. Authorities have accused him of holding white supremacist views, saying he targeted the victims because of their race.

His federal trial had been delayed while U.S. prosecutors decided whether to seek the death penalty. Defense attorneys have said he would plead guilty if he did not face the possibility of execution.
He also faces the state death penalty if convicted of the shooting.
Roof's attorney, Michael O'Connell, declined to comment on the prosecution's decision when reached by phone on Tuesday.

The government said in court documents it would prove a number of factors that would justify a death sentence, saying Roof had planned the killing and showed a lack of remorse.
Joseph Meek, Roof's 21-year-old friend who pleaded guilty last month to federal charges related to the shooting, said Roof had planned the shooting for six months and wanted to start a race war.
Federal prosecutors rarely seek the death penalty against defendants. Since the federal death penalty was reinstated in 1988, about three people a year on average have been sentenced to death, according to the Death Penalty Information Center, a nonprofit group in Washington.
The most recent death penalty carried out by the federal government occurred in 2003, when Louis Jones was executed by lethal injection for the kidnapping and murder of a 19-year-old Army private.

Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death in May 2015 for helping carry out the 2013 attack that killed three people and wounded 264 others at the race's finish line.

US judge rules Bill Cosby must stand trial on sexual assault charges
NORRISTOWN, Pa.-A Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday ordered entertainer Bill Cosby to stand trial on sexual assault charges over allegations that he drugged and assaulted a woman in 2004.

The ruling came after a preliminary hearing that Cosby, 78, attended in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in which witnesses testified about statements that Cosby and his accuser, Andrea Constand, gave to police in 2005.
In court, Cosby responded with "thank you" when Judge Elizabeth McHugh announced her decision. She wished him luck.
Constand, a former basketball coach at Cosby's Temple University alma mater, is the only woman whose accusations of sexual assault have resulted in criminal charges against Cosby.
Once one of the most beloved U.S. entertainers, Cosby has been hit by a wave of sexual assault allegations from more than 50 women, although most of the cases are too old to be prosecuted. He has denied ever assaulting anyone.

Constand told police she was attacked as she lay on a sofa "paralyzed" by drugs the entertainer had given her, said a former detective reading from a transcript of Constand's police interview.
Cosby told her the pills would help her relax and "take the edge off." So Constand swallowed the pills, added a sip of wine and told the comedian that she trusted him, the former detective said.
Less than an hour later, according to Constand, Cosby sexually assaulted her as she lay incapacitated by the drugs she had taken, the former detective said.

Cosby's own 2005 interview with police in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, where the purported 2004 assault took place, also was introduced as evidence.
Cosby admitted giving Constand 1-1/2 pills of the antihistamine Benadryl to relax her, Cheltenham Police Chief John Norris testified.
Cosby said Constand never told him to stop and was fully conscious during what he called the "petting" encounter, which he said involved fondling of genitals, Norris testified.

The hearing followed Sunday's Associated Press report of new revelations about Cosby from his 2005 and 2006 sworn depositions, including his admission that he gave drugs to a 19-year-old woman before having sex.

Soulja Boy DID NOT sign a  $400 Million Deal..
Well thirsty groupies you might want think twice before  getting with Soulja Boy….
The rapper is accused of lying about the deal and he also made ‘Donkey of the Day’ on Breakfast Club.
If you missed Souja Boy hinted about being rick as fuck because of his new deal click Here and Here to read.

Catch the tea below…The company spokeperson  Matthew Bird claims that CelebrityWorld.com clears up the misinformation..

People are going to want to see live dealers, versus it being automated dealers.” Bird explains. “Casinos will actually have virtual tables where the dealer’s dealing to virtual people while they’re at their computer or on a flight.”

All of this promise is not yet reflected in how much investors say the company is worth. According to CNN Money, World Poker Fund Holdings has a market capitalization of around $52 million. WPFH’s own annual report lists losses of over $400,000 last year.
So how is a company that is worth just north of $50 million going to pay out $400 million to their celebrity endorser? The answer is, they’re not. The deal, according to Bird, includes both stock and revenue-sharing.

“He really kind of jumped the gun” by using the $400 million figure, Bird says. “The deal is capped at $400 million, and it’s based on a forward-thinking valuation of the company. He’s young, he’s 25 years old. He got really excited, and he tweeted something he probably shouldn’t have tweeted. He was getting a lot of pressure from within the entertainment community, so he wanted to put a statement out. Obviously, the company’s market cap is at $51.8 million. There’s no way they could cut a $400 million deal. Endorsement deals are calculated on a lot of different factors. This is not a fully cash transaction.”

Last year, Russell Simmons‘ company UniRush LLC experienced a service outage during a planned migration to a new transaction processor, preventing over 130,000 RushCard holders from accessing or depositing funds.
The mogul, who described that experience as “one of the most devastating times in my adult life,” is finally speaking out about how he and his company got things back on track.

Russell revealed to HipHop DX: “I put aside $25 million. That was never the problem in my mind… I am going to spend a lot more money than that in the community, in my peacekeeping programs, in RUSH and art education. We’re gonna be in the community in a way that we’ve never been.”

Simmons has been dedicated to rebuilding the brand and seeking due justice for all of his customers. He offered free service to RushCard holders for five months, which sacrificed much of the company’s profits. He also revealed plans to pay $100 to $500 per claim, plus an additional $1.5 million in legal fees.
