#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Breaks Silence on Real Housewives of Atlanta's Major Cast Shakeup
Kandi Burruss is feeling just peachy about The Real Housewives of Atlanta's brand new cast.
In fact, after recently exiting the Bravo series earlier this year after an impressive 14 years on TV, the former Xscape singer is revealing what she really thinks about the newly revamped season 16 cast.
"I'm excited," Kandi exclusively told E! News May 17 at the 90th Annual Drama League Awards celebrating Broadway's latest theater season. "I'm excited for Shamea [Morton Mwangi], who is our friend. I'm glad it's announced so I don't have to keep secrets anymore. I'm gonna be watching because my friends are still on the show." (Watch E! In addition to Shamea being promoted to a full-time castmember, Kandi is also thrilled over alum Porsha Williams' return to the show after taking a two-season break.
"I already knew she was going back before she announced it," the 48-year-old revealed. "We both had talked about our decisions, what we were thinking about doing. I was telling her I didn't know if I was going to go back. She was telling me how she was thinking she might go back. So we knew. I am excited for her."
Joining Shamea and Porsha for season 16 are newbies Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley, plus returning RHOA Housewives Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora and alum Cynthia Bailey, who will be a friend-of.
Of course, that means Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross and Shereé Whitfield will not be back next year.
Kandi even teased some behind-the-scenes season 16 drama which she recently heard about through the grapevine.
"I'm not necessarily gonna miss that stress," she admitted. "They started filming this week. I was talking to one of them—I can't say who it was—but she was like, 'Girl, it's just a lot.' I was like, 'Yeah, I don't know if I missed that part.' I forgot about that first stress of getting the ball rolling when you're meeting new people."
As for what Kandi will miss about being part of the cast?
"You don't necessarily miss the stress or the work, but you miss the camaraderie part," she added, "and knowing that you are part of something great. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much drama it was, my 14 seasons on that franchise a lot of great things came from it."

Nas is arguably among Hip Hop’s most legendary MCs, and it all began with his debut record three decades ago — he is now set to honor the iconic tracklist with a series of performances this fall.
Illmatic, which was released in the spring of 1994, turned 30 years old last month. On Monday (May 20), the “N.Y. State of Mind” rapper announced that he will be teaming up with the Las Vegas Philharmonic for three shows later this year in celebration of the classic LP.
This Labor Day Weekend, the Queens native will take the stage at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on August 29, August 31 and September 1 with support from the live orchestra.
“Las Vegas has always served as a creative outlet for my music, and these performances will take that to the next level,” the 5o-year-old veteran told Billboard about the gigs. “I am excited to partner with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to bring this first-of-its-kind performance to Encore Theater and to showcase my music to my fans in Las Vegas in a whole new way.”

In April, the New York City rapper commemorated Illmatic‘s legacy by releasing new merchandise — T-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, sweats, a leather jacket, air freshener, a button pack and a postcard set. Each of these products were painted and hand drawn by artists Andrew Agutos, Esteban Whiteside, Rushad Kolah and Samborghini.
Additionally, Nas will also set out on a tour that, as of now, is only scheduled to pass through Europe. It will commence in Finland this October and is made up of 15 stops in total, the last of which will take place in London.
Maryland Teacher Under Investigation After Viral TikTok Says He Was “Attacked” For Being Handsome
The teacher who was placed under investigation after a viral TikTok showed students unbraiding his hair continues to speak out in the aftermath of the controversy.
In a video uploaded to TheShadeRoom on Sunday, Marquise White compares his situation to other educators implementing non-conventional behavior in the classroom, attributing backlash to the video to his looks.
The first post highlighted by White features students placing rhinestones on a teacher’s head, and questions why the man in the video is not being “publicly executed” when they “essentially did the exact same thing.” Another post features a woman who posted a photo of her rear end, asking “Y’all think my 10th graders looking at me?”
In a lengthy rant, White details what he thinks is the reason he was removed from the classroom as compared to the other instructors.
“I firmly believe that I was attacked, and let me add this in here, mainly attacked by my own community,” White started off. “I was mainly attacked by my own community for the most part. Anyway, I firmly believe that I was attacked because I’m a young, handsome, Black man.”
He continued, “People who watched this video and thought anything weird, or anything suggestive, saw me, was attracted to me. I got tattoos, I got an attractive energy, [an] attractive aura, you can sense that through the video. And, since you can sense that attractiveness, or sense you are attracted to me, you projected your own thoughts, ideologies, traumas, and experiences, onto me and my children. And that is a hill I’m willing to die on 1000% of the time.”
According to WUSA9, White is employed with Prince George’s Schools, and confirmed that rumors of his firing after the video went viral are false. Instead, he was “reassigned out of the classroom pending the outcome of the investigation.”
WTOP News reports teachers are required to adhere to “personal boundaries by maintaining proper space,” and “demonstrate appropriate behaviors,” per the school district’s code of conduct. Additionally, teachers are asked not to record student faces and voices unless teaching in a performing arts or career technology class. White claimed that his students’ parents approved of his TikToks.
As of Monday (May 20), the PGCPS still lists White in its employee directory as “Classroom Teacher – Grades 4 – 6.”
Model Anok Yai Claims Photographer Called Her A “Cockroach” During ZARA Photoshoot
Stunning model Anok Yai took to social media Sunday (May 19) with the claim that she was labeled a “cockroach” by a photographer while shooting for clothing brand ZARA.
“Who wants to hear a story?” Yai, 26, began on X/Twitter. “I remember in 2019 being called a cockroach by a photographer. It was from this brand that I used to always work with. I didn’t speak their language and they didn’t speak mine but regardless we were on set shooting look after look after look. (there were days I shot 60+ looks)”
She went on, “On the 2nd to last day, the makeup artist starts powdering my face and the photographer puts his camera down and yells ‘Lotion la cucaracha’ Everyone on set starts smiling and laughing. I can’t react the way I want to react because at the end of the day I’m young, I’m alone, I’m black … anything that I do will affect me, my family, and other black models.”
Despite her hesitation to speak up, Yai did advocate for herself by refusing to work with said photographer the following day.
“The next morning I refuse to go on set if the photographer is still there. Someone from the team calls me and says ‘we don’t accept that type of behavior, we’ll fire him now. Tell me who he is and we’ll get rid of him.’ I go to set thinking he’s gonna be gone. He walks by me and smiles.”
The runway pro then claims the team attempted to gaslight her, claiming she “made it up” and that her alleged stand-offish behavior was to blame for any inappropriate actions.
“Someone from the team pulls me aside and says ‘I asked the team what happened and they said you made it up. Honestly, whenever you come here, you’re never smiling and you’re never happy to be here.’
“By now, there’s tears running down my face,” the Met Gala attendee continued. “I told her I wasn’t lying, she still doesn’t believe me. But I could tell she wanted me to sit down and shut up so I forced them to call my car to the airport and pay my full rate regardless. I remember wanting to come out with the story to magazines but I was told “think about what it will do to your career” That was my first (and not only) time being blacklisted I’m sure they thought I wasn’t strong enough to stand But anyways …”

Ben Affleck may be ready to accept that his romance with Jennifer Lopez has run its course. The actor/director has reportedly "come to his senses" about his failing marriage to the singer/actress less than two years after they tied the knot.
Describing the pair's alleged short-lived marriage as "a fever dream," a so-called insider tells Page Six, "If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would." The informant shares, "He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he's come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work."
Other sources dish on the root of Affleck and Lopez's alleged marriage issues. "They just have very different approaches when it comes to media attention. Ben hates all attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer has always had a different approach," one insider tells PEOPLE.
A source in the film industry says the 51-year-old filmmaker has "always been impressed" by his wife's work ethic and success in the industry, but "always sharing her life is not his way." The source explains, "Even though he admires that about her, it doesn’t make him happy and causes stress in his life and then in hers. There is no question their different styles clash."
A third source from the music world adds that Lopez "needs that expression but Affleck simply is not comfortable with it." The source claims, "After a while it causes tension in the relationship. He is more introspective and private. She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world. This makes them considerably different, and it has been difficult in the day-to-day relationship."
The source goes on noting, "There have always been clashes in their styles, how they handle issues, and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the years," before declaring, "This is a great love story."
Affleck and Lopez sparked split rumors as they were not seen together for seven weeks prior to their reunion on Thursday, May 16 to attend a school production for his child Fin. Adding fuel to the split rumors, the pair have reportedly been living separately with Affleck moving out of their $60 million home several weeks ago. The actor has allegedly been staying in a Brentwood home without his wife "over the past week or so" while filming his latest film "The Accountant 2".

Diddy's Songs Banned From Peloton's Future Playlists After Cassie Assault Video
Peloton has banned Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' music from all of its future workouts. The company, which manufactures fitness equipment with adjacent streaming workouts, announced that it "has paused the use of" the "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" hitmaker's songs.
Making use of its private member's Facebook page, the fitness company issued a statement that read, "Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton has paused the use of Sean Combs' music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform."
The company went on to write, "This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes. Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and thank you for being a member of our Peloton community."
Peloton made the announcement in response to a concerned member's request. Previously, the member penned via social media, "Dear Peloton, Your next purge needs to be all Diddy classes. Signed, women everywhere."
The decision to stop using Diddy's music came after a surveillance video of him physically assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie surfaced. The footage showed the spitter brutally attacking the songstress at InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles back in March 2016.
Later on, Diddy issued an aplogy. In a 70-second video that he posted on Instagram, he stated, "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that." He further said, "My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I'm disgusted now."
"I went out and sought professional help. Had to go into therapy, into rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to being a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry," the hip-hop artist/producer continued.

LEGO Announces Upcoming 'Wicked' Collab
LEGO is teaming up with one of this year’s most highly anticipated films – Wicked!
The toy company unveiled it’s upcoming collaboration with the movie musical on Monday (May 20), revealing several details about what fans can expect when it’s released.
LEGO’s Wicked collection will feature four sets inspired “by the first film that will allow fans to delve deeper into some of the most iconic scenes straight out of Oz and explore core themes, characters, and songs from the upcoming film.”
“The story of Wicked creates such an incredible experience for families, so being part of the team creating LEGO sets inspired by the upcoming movie and bringing that universe to life is hugely exciting,” Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, LEGO Wicked Design Lead at the LEGO Group, shared in a statement. “Wicked has some of the most magical locations and characters and recreating that with LEGO bricks is a match made in Oz. I can’t wait for fans to see these colorful sets and hope they will enjoy unlocking their imagination, creating, and telling their own Wicked-inspired stories.”
The LEGO x Wicked collection will officially launch on October 1st, a little less than two months before the movie hits theaters.

For 24 straight seasons (sorry, cycles) leggy natives of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Pinson, Ala. turned up to her reality TV creation to learn how to smize and booty touch their way to the top. The hope? To build a career in fashion á la host Tyra, one of the industry legends tapped to pose for the recent 60th anniversary edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
And though it's been more than six years since Tyra was last holding just one photo in her hands, the 50-year-old is hopeful she hasn't delivered her last critique.
"We have tried, so it's not us," she told E! News at the swimsuit issue launch party of her efforts to get her brainchild back on the air. "It's the powers that be. I'm not the biggest boss in the room, so it's not my doing. Maybe one day."
When the reality series premiered 21 years ago in May 2003, first on the now-defunct UPN, then The CW and, finally, VH1, it dominated.

Drake Bell Details “Gruesome” Abuse Amid Quiet on Set 's Release
Drake Bell is opening up further about his past. In the March docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV, the world learned that the Drake and Josh alum was the previously unnamed victim of sexual abuse by former Nickelodeon voice coach Brian Peck, who was convicted in 2004.
Now, two months later, Bell is reflecting on the abuse in his past and why he decided to share his story with the world.
"The things that were happening to me were so—it's a big word—but gruesome," Bell told Today's Kate Snow of Peck's abuse. "Not only is it really difficult to speak about and to put into words, but I'm also not really in an environment where I think [the documentary producers] would want to put that on national television. It's too graphic."
He also recalled a painting of a clown Peck allegedly had in his living room that had been a gift from John Wayne Gacy, a serial killer who was convicted of murdering at least 33 men and boys in the 1970s.
"Things were happening to me in a room, where there's a painting by one of the most prolific serial killers who preyed on young boys, staring at me," Bell, now 37, remembered. "So that puts into my mind, ‘How far is this really going to go? How far can this go?'"
He continued, "The fear goes into, ‘Am I going to make it out of this room?'"
Peck was arrested in 2003 after Bell shared with his mother what had been going on. The former dialogue and acting coach pleaded no contest to two charges that included lewd act upon a child 14 or 15 by a person 10 years older and oral copulation of a person under 16, according to court documents viewed by E! News.
The now 63-year-old ultimately served over a year in prison, in addition to being made to register as a sex offender.
E! News previously reached out to Peck for comment but did not hear back, but following Bell's involvement in Quiet on Set, Nickelodeon told NBC News, "Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case, we are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward."
But after almost two decades of keeping his involvement in Peck's trial and conviction private, there was one major factor that encouraged Bell to come forward—his 3-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Janet Von Schmeling.
"I could've either allowed this to destroy me, or make me stronger for him," he explained, sharing how he asked himself, "'What's the story that he's going to get? Is somebody else going to tell him my story, or am I going to be around to tell him and share my story?'"
The All That alum later added, "As he grows, my hope is that he'll be able to say, 'My dad did go through that. And the man that I know today is a hero to me.'"
But even so, Drake noted the complicated emotions that came with filming Quiet on Set and sharing his story.
"I went home thinking, ‘What have I done?'" he recalled. "‘Now the world's going to know this. How are they going to receive it?'"
He continued, "When you're holding it inside, it's a constant battle with your mind of, ‘Is this my fault? Why did this happen to me? What was taken away from me? Am I going to be desired? Has that part of me been broken? Has that part of me been taken away from me?'"
But being honest about his past and detailing his survival has also given Bell a new gift: the ability to help his former self.
"I'm able to go back to him and hold him," he expressed. "‘You're going to have tribulation, you're going to have triumph, and you're going to have tribulation again. But just know that we get through it. I'm here to tell you, we get through it. And now I'm in a place where I can go back and I can hold your hand and I can walk you through the fire. And we get out on the other side.'"
Despite everything he's gone through, the "Found a Way" singer wouldn't necessarily bar his son from pursuing an acting career.
"It's so hard to just immediately say no, because even though I endured unspeakable things, there were such amazing moments, there were such amazing experiences," he reflected. "I struggle with the bad. But then, the good that I've experienced and the way that entertainment touches lives, and how we're moved by the stories that we tell and that we hear and that we watch."
Because amid his own struggles, filming became a sort of sanctuary.
"But the set, for me, when I wasn't experiencing things with [Peck], was my escape," he said. "And I felt at home."
Target is Cutting Prices on Up to 5,000 Items to Lure Back Inflation-weary Shoppers
Target has slashed prices on more than 1,500 popular items beginning immediately, ranging from butter to laundry detergent, as the retailer attempts to attract inflation-wary shoppers turned off by high prices.
Prices have dropped effective Monday, with “thousands more price cuts” — amounting to 5,000 items — being reduced over the summer, the retailer announced. The lower prices will aim to “collectively save consumers millions of dollars” on household staples and everyday items such as milk, fresh fruit, diapers and even pet food.
The changes affect name brands, like Clorox and Prime energy drink, as well as its house brands. Although prices vary depending on city, Target highlighted some examples with a 75-count canister of Clorox wipes being reduced to $4.99 from $5.79 and one pound of unsalted butter from its Good & Gather brand dropping to $3.79 from $3.99.
Other major retailers, like Ikea and Aldi, have been reducing prices in recent months in an attempt to re-attract consumers into stores and entice them to spend money, since many have slashed their spending because of inflation.
Shoppers have pulled back for a year now as costs have risen 20% to 30% higher than they were three years ago and as incomes failed to keep up, Sarah Wyeth, managing director, retail and consumer with S&P Global Ratings, recently told CNN.
Retail sales growth has taken a hit because of high prices: Last month, retail sales were unchanged from March when spending increased by a downwardly revised 0.6%, the Commerce Department recently reported.
In April, spending missed the 0.4% increase that economists had projected, according to FactSet. The figures are adjusted for seasonal swings but not inflation. By comparison, a year ago, retail sales surged by 3%.
For Target, the price cuts are also an attempt to turn around sales, which fell last year for the first time since 2016, amid a predicted sluggish 2024. The retailer will give an update on this year’s sales when it reports earnings Wednesday.
Like other big box stores, business has slowed for Target since shoppers stocked up at its locations and online during the height of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Since its surge, Target’s core middle-class customer base has been strained by higher prices and pulled back on discretionary goods such as home decor, electronics and nonessential clothing.
In response, Target recently created a new house brand called Dealworthy to take on dollar stores and Walmart. The budget-friendly lineup consists of 400 items, from phone chargers to disposable plates and even underwear.

Amber Rose Defends Her Pro-Trump Stance After Fans Attack Her
Amber Rose is no stranger to controversy. She's been criticized for being outspoken on sensitive issues, or for airing out the dirty laundry of her polarizing ex, Kanye West, on social media. Her latest controversy may be her biggest yet, however. The model recently posed for a photo with Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, and was immediately criticized by fans online. Many were taken aback to learn Rose was an avid Trump supporter, given the various causes she's lobbied for over the years.
Amber Rose posted the pic of her and the Trumps on her Instagram with the caption "Trump 2024." This made it very clear that she was in support of the President's current campaign, and not merely grabbing a photo with another celebrity. Fans took Rose to task for siding with someone who's politics have stood in direct opposition to her own. "Imagine being an advocate for women’s rights and endorsing Trump and his party who reversed Roe V Wade," one user wrote. "Wild."
Another, actor Amber Whittington, doubled down on Rose's seemingly contradictory stance. "Damn Amber, You’re a Bisexual woman of color that runs a movement that stands up for Women’s rights and their power against anyone that abuses it," she wrote. "That’s literally OPPOSITE of what he supports…smdh." Rose must have read some of these comments, because she to them on IG. She labeled those who dismissed Trump as "brainwashed." The model also had some harsh words for President Biden.

On Sunday (May 19), Megan Thee Stallion gave fans a first look at the tequila line she’s been working on. During the Chicago stop of her “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” the artist shared footage of herself holding a bottle with an orange and red ombré design.

As for what Kandi will miss about being part of the cast?
"You don't necessarily miss the stress or the work, but you miss the camaraderie part," she added, "and knowing that you are part of something great. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much drama it was, my 14 seasons on that franchise a lot of great things came from it."

Illmatic, which was released in the spring of 1994, turned 30 years old last month. On Monday (May 20), the “N.Y. State of Mind” rapper announced that he will be teaming up with the Las Vegas Philharmonic for three shows later this year in celebration of the classic LP.
This Labor Day Weekend, the Queens native will take the stage at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on August 29, August 31 and September 1 with support from the live orchestra.
“Las Vegas has always served as a creative outlet for my music, and these performances will take that to the next level,” the 5o-year-old veteran told Billboard about the gigs. “I am excited to partner with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to bring this first-of-its-kind performance to Encore Theater and to showcase my music to my fans in Las Vegas in a whole new way.”

Maryland Teacher Under Investigation After Viral TikTok Says He Was “Attacked” For Being Handsome
The teacher who was placed under investigation after a viral TikTok showed students unbraiding his hair continues to speak out in the aftermath of the controversy.
In a video uploaded to TheShadeRoom on Sunday, Marquise White compares his situation to other educators implementing non-conventional behavior in the classroom, attributing backlash to the video to his looks.
The first post highlighted by White features students placing rhinestones on a teacher’s head, and questions why the man in the video is not being “publicly executed” when they “essentially did the exact same thing.” Another post features a woman who posted a photo of her rear end, asking “Y’all think my 10th graders looking at me?”
In a lengthy rant, White details what he thinks is the reason he was removed from the classroom as compared to the other instructors.
“I firmly believe that I was attacked, and let me add this in here, mainly attacked by my own community,” White started off. “I was mainly attacked by my own community for the most part. Anyway, I firmly believe that I was attacked because I’m a young, handsome, Black man.”
He continued, “People who watched this video and thought anything weird, or anything suggestive, saw me, was attracted to me. I got tattoos, I got an attractive energy, [an] attractive aura, you can sense that through the video. And, since you can sense that attractiveness, or sense you are attracted to me, you projected your own thoughts, ideologies, traumas, and experiences, onto me and my children. And that is a hill I’m willing to die on 1000% of the time.”
According to WUSA9, White is employed with Prince George’s Schools, and confirmed that rumors of his firing after the video went viral are false. Instead, he was “reassigned out of the classroom pending the outcome of the investigation.”
WTOP News reports teachers are required to adhere to “personal boundaries by maintaining proper space,” and “demonstrate appropriate behaviors,” per the school district’s code of conduct. Additionally, teachers are asked not to record student faces and voices unless teaching in a performing arts or career technology class. White claimed that his students’ parents approved of his TikToks.
As of Monday (May 20), the PGCPS still lists White in its employee directory as “Classroom Teacher – Grades 4 – 6.”

“Who wants to hear a story?” Yai, 26, began on X/Twitter. “I remember in 2019 being called a cockroach by a photographer. It was from this brand that I used to always work with. I didn’t speak their language and they didn’t speak mine but regardless we were on set shooting look after look after look. (there were days I shot 60+ looks)”
She went on, “On the 2nd to last day, the makeup artist starts powdering my face and the photographer puts his camera down and yells ‘Lotion la cucaracha’ Everyone on set starts smiling and laughing. Despite her hesitation to speak up, Yai did advocate for herself by refusing to work with said photographer the following day.
“The next morning I refuse to go on set if the photographer is still there. Someone from the team calls me and says ‘we don’t accept that type of behavior, we’ll fire him now. Tell me who he is and we’ll get rid of him.’ I go to set thinking he’s gonna be gone. He walks by me and smiles.”
The runway pro then claims the team attempted to gaslight her, claiming she “made it up” and that her alleged stand-offish behavior was to blame for any inappropriate actions.
“Someone from the team pulls me aside and says ‘I asked the team what happened and they said you made it up. Honestly, whenever you come here, you’re never smiling and you’re never happy to be here.’
“By now, there’s tears running down my face,” the Met Gala attendee continued. “I told her I wasn’t lying, she still doesn’t believe me. But I could tell she wanted me to sit down and shut up so I forced them to call my car to the airport and pay my full rate regardless. Diddy's Songs Banned From Peloton's Future Playlists After Cassie Assault Video
Making use of its private member's Facebook page, the fitness company issued a statement that read, "Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton has paused the use of Sean Combs' music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform."
The company went on to write, "This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes. Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and thank you for being a member of our Peloton community."
Peloton made the announcement in response to a concerned member's request. Previously, the member penned via social media, "Dear Peloton, Your next purge needs to be all Diddy classes. Signed, women everywhere."
The decision to stop using Diddy's music came after a surveillance video of him physically assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie surfaced. The footage showed the spitter brutally attacking the songstress at InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles back in March 2016.
Later on, Diddy issued an aplogy. In a 70-second video that he posted on Instagram, he stated, "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that." LEGO Announces Upcoming 'Wicked' Collab
The toy company unveiled it’s upcoming collaboration with the movie musical on Monday (May 20), revealing several details about what fans can expect when it’s released.
LEGO’s Wicked collection will feature four sets inspired “by the first film that will allow fans to delve deeper into some of the most iconic scenes straight out of Oz and explore core themes, characters, and songs from the upcoming film.”
“The story of Wicked creates such an incredible experience for families, so being part of the team creating LEGO sets inspired by the upcoming movie and bringing that universe to life is hugely exciting,” Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, LEGO Wicked Design Lead at the LEGO Group, shared in a statement. “Wicked has some of the most magical locations and characters and recreating that with LEGO bricks is a match made in Oz. I can’t wait for fans to see these colorful sets and hope they will enjoy unlocking their imagination, creating, and telling their own Wicked-inspired stories.”
The LEGO x Wicked collection will officially launch on October 1st, a little less than two months before the movie hits theaters.

For 24 straight seasons (sorry, cycles) leggy natives of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Pinson, Ala. turned up to her reality TV creation to learn how to smize and booty touch their way to the top. The hope? To build a career in fashion á la host Tyra, one of the industry legends tapped to pose for the recent 60th anniversary edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
And though it's been more than six years since Tyra was last holding just one photo in her hands, the 50-year-old is hopeful she hasn't delivered her last critique.
"We have tried, so it's not us," she told E! News at the swimsuit issue launch party of her efforts to get her brainchild back on the air. "It's the powers that be. I'm not the biggest boss in the room, so it's not my doing. Maybe one day."
When the reality series premiered 21 years ago in May 2003, first on the now-defunct UPN, then The CW and, finally, VH1, it dominated.
At one point the series netted upwards of 6 million viewers eager to watch wannabe cover girls sob through their pixie cut "Ty-over" and attempt to nail the perfect commercial for LashBlast Mascara.
Drake Bell Details “Gruesome” Abuse Amid Quiet on Set 's Release
Now, two months later, Bell is reflecting on the abuse in his past and why he decided to share his story with the world.
"The things that were happening to me were so—it's a big word—but gruesome," Bell told Today's Kate Snow of Peck's abuse. "Not only is it really difficult to speak about and to put into words, but I'm also not really in an environment where I think [the documentary producers] would want to put that on national television. It's too graphic."
He also recalled a painting of a clown Peck allegedly had in his living room that had been a gift from John Wayne Gacy, a serial killer who was convicted of murdering at least 33 men and boys in the 1970s.
"Things were happening to me in a room, where there's a painting by one of the most prolific serial killers who preyed on young boys, staring at me," Bell, now 37, remembered. "So that puts into my mind, ‘How far is this really going to go? How far can this go?'"
He continued, "The fear goes into, ‘Am I going to make it out of this room?'"
Peck was arrested in 2003 after Bell shared with his mother what had been going on. The former dialogue and acting coach pleaded no contest to two charges that included lewd act upon a child 14 or 15 by a person 10 years older and oral copulation of a person under 16, according to court documents viewed by E! News.
The now 63-year-old ultimately served over a year in prison, in addition to being made to register as a sex offender.
E! News previously reached out to Peck for comment but did not hear back, but following Bell's involvement in Quiet on Set, Nickelodeon told NBC News, "Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case, we are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward."
But after almost two decades of keeping his involvement in Peck's trial and conviction private, there was one major factor that encouraged Bell to come forward—his 3-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Janet Von Schmeling.
"I could've either allowed this to destroy me, or make me stronger for him," he explained, sharing how he asked himself, "'What's the story that he's going to get? Is somebody else going to tell him my story, or am I going to be around to tell him and share my story?'"
The All That alum later added, "As he grows, my hope is that he'll be able to say, 'My dad did go through that. And the man that I know today is a hero to me.'"
But even so, Drake noted the complicated emotions that came with filming Quiet on Set and sharing his story.
"I went home thinking, ‘What have I done?'" he recalled. "‘Now the world's going to know this. How are they going to receive it?'"
He continued, "When you're holding it inside, it's a constant battle with your mind of, ‘Is this my fault? Why did this happen to me? What was taken away from me? Am I going to be desired? Has that part of me been broken? Has that part of me been taken away from me?'"
But being honest about his past and detailing his survival has also given Bell a new gift: the ability to help his former self.
"I'm able to go back to him and hold him," he expressed. "‘You're going to have tribulation, you're going to have triumph, and you're going to have tribulation again. But just know that we get through it. I'm here to tell you, we get through it. And now I'm in a place where I can go back and I can hold your hand and I can walk you through the fire. And we get out on the other side.'"
Despite everything he's gone through, the "Found a Way" singer wouldn't necessarily bar his son from pursuing an acting career.
"It's so hard to just immediately say no, because even though I endured unspeakable things, there were such amazing moments, there were such amazing experiences," he reflected. "I struggle with the bad. But then, the good that I've experienced and the way that entertainment touches lives, and how we're moved by the stories that we tell and that we hear and that we watch."
Because amid his own struggles, filming became a sort of sanctuary.
"But the set, for me, when I wasn't experiencing things with [Peck], was my escape," he said. "And I felt at home."
Target is Cutting Prices on Up to 5,000 Items to Lure Back Inflation-weary Shoppers
Target has slashed prices on more than 1,500 popular items beginning immediately, ranging from butter to laundry detergent, as the retailer attempts to attract inflation-wary shoppers turned off by high prices.
Prices have dropped effective Monday, with “thousands more price cuts” — amounting to 5,000 items — being reduced over the summer, the retailer announced. The lower prices will aim to “collectively save consumers millions of dollars” on household staples and everyday items such as milk, fresh fruit, diapers and even pet food.
The changes affect name brands, like Clorox and Prime energy drink, as well as its house brands. Although prices vary depending on city, Target highlighted some examples with a 75-count canister of Clorox wipes being reduced to $4.99 from $5.79 and one pound of unsalted butter from its Good & Gather brand dropping to $3.79 from $3.99.
Other major retailers, like Ikea and Aldi, have been reducing prices in recent months in an attempt to re-attract consumers into stores and entice them to spend money, since many have slashed their spending because of inflation.
Shoppers have pulled back for a year now as costs have risen 20% to 30% higher than they were three years ago and as incomes failed to keep up, Sarah Wyeth, managing director, retail and consumer with S&P Global Ratings, recently told CNN.
Retail sales growth has taken a hit because of high prices: Last month, retail sales were unchanged from March when spending increased by a downwardly revised 0.6%, the Commerce Department recently reported.
In April, spending missed the 0.4% increase that economists had projected, according to FactSet. The figures are adjusted for seasonal swings but not inflation. By comparison, a year ago, retail sales surged by 3%.
For Target, the price cuts are also an attempt to turn around sales, which fell last year for the first time since 2016, amid a predicted sluggish 2024. The retailer will give an update on this year’s sales when it reports earnings Wednesday.
Like other big box stores, business has slowed for Target since shoppers stocked up at its locations and online during the height of the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Since its surge, Target’s core middle-class customer base has been strained by higher prices and pulled back on discretionary goods such as home decor, electronics and nonessential clothing.
In response, Target recently created a new house brand called Dealworthy to take on dollar stores and Walmart. The budget-friendly lineup consists of 400 items, from phone chargers to disposable plates and even underwear.

The model also had some harsh words for President Biden.

She then went on to mention trans rights and abortion as topics on which she agrees with the ex-President. "Y'all want biological men in women's sports," she added. "Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion. Stop being brainwashed, cuz WE'RE ppl of color. Make your own decisions."
Amber Rose is one of the most notable Trump supporters in the hip-hop world since her aforementioned ex, Kanye West, met with the President in 2018. The rapper also ran against Trump in the 2020 election.

On Sunday (May 19), Megan Thee Stallion gave fans a first look at the tequila line she’s been working on. During the Chicago stop of her “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” the artist shared footage of herself holding a bottle with an orange and red ombré design.
“Chicago Hotties, your [chica] is ready,” the Houston rapper captioned her Instagram post. “Y’all get to have thee first exclusive taste of my new tequila, dropping soon.” In the clip, Megan was seen wearing an orange jumpsuit and heels while walking down the halls of the United Center.
Her followers seemed excited about the upcoming launch. One person wrote, “Lemme be the bottle, Meg!” Referencing 2018’s “Cognac Queen,” another suggested, “We need a cognac from the Cognac Queen, too.”
“I’ll start drinking again if I look like this after one sip,” read a separate comment. Meanwhile, Tinashe said, “The body is insane tea.” Natalie Nunn, Tokyo Stylez, and Paris Hilton were among the other celebrities to show love to the post.
Megan first announced she was entering the liquor industry during a panel at AdWeek‘s Social Media Week 2024. “I create the things that I want to see. I don’t create things for other people to like them,” she shared, per ESSENCE. “I create the music I want to hear, I go and do my own thing, and stay true to me.”
Later at the event, the musician added, “As long as you keep doing things that are true to you and feel good to you, you’ll get the audience you want to attract. You don’t want to be a walking commercial. You should do things that make you feel good… You’ll create more moments that way.”
While details about Megan’s tequila line are currently under wraps, the artist does have an album on the way. It’s expected to come out later this year, as teased by singles like “HISS” and “BOA.”

Kid Rock is no stranger to controversy, but the singer is now making headlines for his lack of decorum in an explosive interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, was interviewed by reporter David Peisner for the wide-ranging profile, which was published online late Sunday.
Following a conversation that spanned political topics such as transgender rights and the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Peisner alleges the “Picture” singer took out a weapon during their exchange. The reporter also notes that Rock had been drinking three to four alcoholic beverages in “pretty quick succession” leading up to the incident.
“He’s sitting in a dark leather chair, shouting at me about something or other, when he reaches behind the seat, pulls out a black handgun, and waves it around to make some sort of point,” Peisner writes, adding that Rock shouted, “And I got a (expletive) gun right here if I need it! I got them everywhere!” Peisner also alleges in the article that Rock uttered a racial slur several times throughout the interview.

Rock, who has become increasingly known for his political outspokenness, defended his support of former president and 2024 Republican candidate Donald Trump in his interview with Rolling Stone.
When asked by Peisner if he “might be on the wrong side of history” due to his political stance, Rock reveals that Detroit rapper Trick Trick, who is Black, allegedly voiced his support of Rock’s allegiance to Trump. The country-rock singer also calls Trick Trick a racial slur in his description of their conversation.
“It’s worth mentioning these are not the only times Ritchie drops" the offensive term during the interview, Peisner writes. “It’d be easy to label this as the rantings of a drunk racist, but as with everything that Ritchie does, it’s hard to know how calculated it all is.
“Is he just trying to get a reaction? Is he begging to be pilloried when this story comes out so he can launch into a very public tirade against 'cancel culture'? Is this all just a play for more attention?”

While reflecting on his performance in “Americans,” a 2012 short film about political differences co-starring Sean Penn, Rock suggested to Rolling Stone that he has contributed to the contentious sociopolitical climate in the U.S.
Rock has famously used his music to express his right-wing views, including the 2022 single “We the People,” a fiery political anthem littered with criticisms of President Joe Biden, mainstream media outlets CNN and TMZ, social media platforms Facebook and X and the Black Lives Matter movement.
“I’m part of the problem,” Rock told Peisner. “I’m one of the polarizing people, no question."
He added, “I’m not going to get it right every time, but I know my heart’s right. I want the best for this country.”
