#RHOA: Peter Thomas To Fight DUI Charge, Claims Sobriety Test Was Flawed
Peter Thomas has never had a great reputation and arguments to the contrary continue to elude him. His main claim to fame was being married to Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Cynthia Bailey, but many know him from bad business deals.
Pete has been trying to make it big for a long time, but success doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Now he’s facing an even bigger hurdle. Earlier this month, Peter was arrested for DUI and much like his failed bars, he’s making excuses about this too. Now the former Mr. Bailey speaks out on how the police were wrong and he was right. Radar has the details.
Woe is Peter, again
With his fighting spirit still intact and accountability still missing, Peter is preparing to dispute the DUI charges against him. He believes the field sobriety test conducted on him at the stop was “flawed.” Though that could be because he was allegedly “drunk.”
According to Peter, at best, he’s guilty of running a red light. “So, it’s going to go to court and without a doubt, I will be 1000 percent vindicated. I’ll get a ticket for running a red light and I’m OK with that,” he said.
That said, he does admit to swerving all around the road because he dropped his phone. “I definitely was swerving because I was looking at my phone to find out where I was in Smyrna – I don’t go to that side of the world, and he pulled me over. He had all the rights to pull me over, OKAY,” Peter explained.
Here’s the catch, ‘ole Pete was ALLEGEDLY driving without a valid Georgia license and sans auto insurance. Honestly, what is it with people on Bravo and not driving legally? Call Uber, good grief.
Peter laughed at the notion he could be traveling on the road without the proper paperwork and said it was a big “misunderstanding.” As we all know, Peter has had many “misunderstandings” thus far in his life.
“He (the officer) deemed it (the license) to be void and that’s on him. I don’t know what they are doing and not doing, what’s the law, what’s not the law,” Peter added.
Somehow Peter managed to come up with the $2500 bond and he has no hard feelings against the arresting officer. He was in the Cobb County Jail for a short bit until some ailment overtook him and Pete had to be “rushed to the hospital.”
“As a matter of fact, the cop called me back the next day to make sure I was OK because when they took me to Cobb County Jail, they wouldn’t accept me because my blood pressure was so high. And I told them I was on medication. Indeed, at the hospital they gave me further medication to take because of my blood pressure,” Peter noted.
His court date for the traffic incident will take place in March.
TELL US – DO YOU BELIEVE PETER’S FIELD SOBRIETY TEST WAS “FLAWED”?

Martin Lawrence Is Fine After Sparking Concern With Slurring Speech At Emmys
Martin Lawrence is in good health despite fans' concern following his appearance at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. The comedian got people worried about his well-being after he appeared to slur his words during the Monday, January 15 telecast.
Fans, however, can now rest assured that the actor is fine. Sources allegedly with direct knowledge tell TMZ that there's nothing to worry about the 58-year-old's health. He is said to be in tip-top shape as he has been keeping himself busy these days.
He recently just finished filming "Bad Boys 4", in which he returns alongside Will Smith. He is also scheduled to hit the road this summer for his latest comedy tour. Moreover, the sources tease that Martin has got a couple professional surprises coming for fans in the next few weeks.
Martin got people concerned after he appeared to slur his words and took long pauses during a "Martin" reunion with his former co-stars. About 40 minutes into the broadcast, he appeared on stage with Tisha Campbell, Tichina Arnold and Carl Anthony Payne II for a skit, which then transitioned into presenting an award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
When the "Big Momma's House 2" star stepped forward to introduce the category, he seemingly had trouble reading from the teleprompter, prompting viewers to jump to social media to begin speculating about his health. "Ummm, Is Martin Lawrence okay? Because he did not look good here at all," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter, along with a clip of Martin's appearance at the ceremony.
The sources now blame technical issue for his bizarre appearance. According to the informants, during Martin's presenting gig, there was a technical glitch with the teleprompter that was caused by late changes to the script.
Other than that issue, Martin reportedly had so much fun getting together with his former castmates from the sitcom, which aired on FOX from 1992 to 1997.
Dwyane Wade Roasted By Mase And Cam'ron Over His Painted Nails
Dwyane Wade has become the butt of the jokes due to his bold fashion statement. Being a father to a transgender daughter, he wasn't shy to show off his painted nails when he was celebrated at the recent Miami Heat game.
Not mincing their words, Mase and Cam'ron clowned the retired professional basketball player over his nails, which were painted red and black on different fingers. During Cam'ron's "It What It Is" podcast, Mase was asked what he thought about Dwyane having his nails painted.
"D Wade, D Wade... This is like seeing Jordan in lingerie. It's just crushing, pause," he said, comparing Dwyane's painted nails to seeing Michael Jordan model lingerie. His comments prompted Cam'ron to break into a fit of laughter, before adding, "You don't want to see it, man. It's like it just ruined everything for you."
As Mase also laughed at his own remarks, Cam'ron said that his friend would be going "viral" because of what he said about Dwyane. But the "Lookin' at Me" spitter didn't stop there as he continued, "It's like you have somebody you looked up to, you appreciated their work. And they go do this. Man, we can't do anything with that ... he's the frontrunner for the 'come on, my n***a award.' "
Cam'ron appeared to struggle to compose himself before he voiced his disagreement with Mase's opinion. "I don't know what the problem is. I think it's okay," he said. Agreeing, his female co-host said, "There's not much to it. A$AP Rocky painted his nails, Harry Styles... Everybody's been doing it."
Mase then suggested that if Dwyane wants to embrace androgynous fashion, he should go all out. "If you gonna to do your nails, do your hair, do your lashes, just go crazy. I would respect that more than just tip toeing out. Just go crazy," he said.
In 2018, Dwyane revealed how he got drawn into the fashion world. "Fashion is not something I grew up wanting to do; it just came along on the journey," he shared. "For me, it’s really been about bringing your style, your personality, your adventures, your everything to a certain collection for a certain brand."
Brittish Williams: Former ‘Basketball Wives’ Star Arrested After Failing To Report To Jail On Time
Brittish Williams The former “Basketball Wives” star failed to check into prison on time after she was given an extension to spend the holidays with her daughter.
According to RadarOnline.com, the reality star was scheduled to turn herself in on January 3, 2024, to begin her four-year prison sentence for 15 fraud-related felonies.
But, hours before her scheduled surrender, she made a last-minute plea for the court to reduce her sentence to 2.6 years.
Brittish Williams argued that the court failed to properly calculate her sentence because she’s a celebrity.
After failing to check in on January 3, 2024, Brittish asked the court to extend her surrender date AGAIN while a decision was made on her motion to reduce her sentence.
She argued that the postponement would “eliminate the need” for her to be transported back and forth between the prison in West Virginia and the court in Missouri.
Prosecutors clapped back by pointing out Brittish Williams’ obvious defiance saying that “even if Williams did qualify for a potential reduction, the Government would oppose relief because she failed to report to the Bureau of Prisons as directed and she already received a more than generous disposition by way of the dismissal of counts carrying six years of consecutive mandatory minimums at the time of the original sentencing.”
On January 12, Brittish was arrested, but the details are unclear at this time.
Her attorneys filed a motion to continue a bond revocation hearing on January 16.
A judge has yet to rule on the motion.

Giddey was asked in November about social media posts suggesting a relationship, to which he said, “I understand the question obviously, but there’s no further comment right now. … I understand you guys want to know about it but just right now, I don’t have anything to say.”
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault also declined to comment at the time, calling it a “personal matter.”
The Australian player, who is in his third year and has continued to play during the investigation, is averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

Doja Cat's Brother Physically & Verbally Abused Her, According to Singer's Mom
Doja Cat‘s mother has made some shocking allegations about the singer’s relationship with her brother.
The 28-year-old “Paint the Town Red” hitmaker’s mother Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer went to court to obtain a temporary restraining order against her son – 30-year-old Raman Dalithando Dlamini.
In the court documents, she alleged that he was abusive to both her and her daughter and even cited specific examples of abuse that Doja faced at Raman‘s hands.
According to TMZ, Deborah claimed that Raman had left her daughter feeling “unsafe and traumatized.”
Aside from speaking to her “in a very degrading and demeaning manor [sic],” Deborah alleged that her son had knocked Doja‘s teeth out and had left her with cuts and bruises in the past.
She said that she faced similar instances of abuse.
Deborah was granted a temporary restraining order against Raman. A permanent one could be handed down at a later court date.
However, Doja was not awarded a similar order. A judge said that she’d need to file her own request.
At the time of publishing, Doja does not appear to have responded to the claims. We’ll update you if she does.
Pauly Shore to Play Richard Simmons in New Biopic
Pauly Shore is getting ready to sweat to the oldies, as the actor and comedian will play fitness icon Richard Simmons in a new biopic.
The film is currently in development at Warner Bros. subsidiary The Wolper Organization, with additional casting underway.
Responding to the news, the reclusive Simmons disavowed the project, posting on social media that he has never “given my permission for this movie.”
The biopic follows an unrelated short film about Simmons from director and writer Jake Lewis. That film, titled “The Court Jester,” will premiere at Sundance on Jan. 19 and also stars Shore as Simmons, as well as Tamra Brown as Ellen DeGeneres and Jesse Heiman as David, a television producer who lost 160 pounds thanks to Simmons, and who tracked his weight-loss journey on the blog “Keep It Up David!” After premiering in Park City, “The Court Jester” will immediately be available worldwide on YouTube.
“I’m really excited about sharing Richard Simmons’s life with the world,” said Shore in a statement. “We all need this biopic now more than ever. Simmons represented mental health, getting people in shape and being his authentic silly self! Whenever he was on TV you could never take your eyes off of him and he brought such a joy to his appearances that represented nothing but a good time.”
Simmons was one of the biggest fitness celebrities and exercise gurus ever, and made frequent appearances on talk shows like “Late Night With David Letterman,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Howard Stern Show.” He became a household name due to his flamboyant, eccentric personality and his successful line of “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” aerobics videos. In his later career, Simmons turned to political activism, advocating for a 2008 bill mandating noncompetitive physical education in public schools. In 2014, he mysteriously disappeared from public life, causing widespread concern among his fans and followers. In 2016, via a phone interview with “Today,” Simmons assured that “no one is holding me in my house as a hostage” and he simply preferred privacy.
Mark Wolper of The Wolper Organization said of the upcoming biopic: “There is an amazing, dramatic and uplifting story to tell about Richard Simmons. My company has been making historical dramas and biopics for over 50 years now … we know what works. We have been dancing around the idea for years, but it never coalesced until several months ago when I saw the press about Pauly Shore being touted by social media as the ONLY person that could play Richard. I saw the picture of them and realized these two are very similar, they both lived or died by how the world perceived them, they both fought to give their fans what they wanted and they both deserve an amazing comeback story! My company has locked Pauly down to play Richard Simmons and we are in serious discussions with a major writer to develop this as a dramatic and heartfelt feature in the tone of ‘Little Miss Sunshine.’”
The Wolper Organization has produced over 500 films and television projects, which have won two Oscars, 50 Emmys and seven Golden Globes. The studio is responsible for “Roots,” “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” “L.A. Confidential” and much more.
Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson Biopic Gets Released Date
*Michael Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson is set to star as the late King of Pop in a biopic coming to the big screen next year from director Antoine Fuqua.
Lionsgate will release the project titled “Michael” on April 18th, 2025, in the U.S., with Universal handling international distribution, Deadline reports.
“It’s incredibly exciting to watch Jaafar bring Michael to life,” Fuqua said in a statement to Variety.
We reported earlier that a worldwide casting search was conducted to find the perfect actor to play Jackson, but producer Graham King ultimately settled on Jaafar. King said, “It was clear that he is the only person to take on this role.”
“I am beyond thrilled that he has come on board to portray his uncle and cannot wait for the world to see him on the big screen as Michael Jackson,” King told Variety.
Per The Jasmine Brand, a synopsis of the movie reads: “‘Michael’ will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale — from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”
Jaafar, the son of Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza, will make his acting debut with “Michael.”

No other details about the “Michael” biopic have been shared.

Lawsuit Accuses Knicks Owner James Dolan of Sexual Assault, Trafficking a Masseuse

In the suit, stemming from 2013, plaintiff Kellye Croft accuses Dolan of pressuring her into unwanted sex on multiple occasions after she was invited to serve as a massage therapist on a music tour headlined by the Eagles. Dolan, who also serves as Madison Square Garden CEO, is also a blues singer for the band JD & The Straight Shot, which was an opening act during the tour.

In one encounter, Croft says Dolan became “extremely assertive, and pressured Ms. Croft into unwanted sexual intercourse with him.”
In another incident, Croft says she was flown out to California under the pretense of working as a massage therapist, but it turned out these were fraudulent pretenses, and instead, Croft was trafficked by Dolan to engage in unlawful and unwelcome sex acts.
Croft also stated that Dolan orchestrated a seemingly random meeting between her and Harvey Weinstein, resulting in Croft being sexually assaulted by Weinstein. When she informed Dolan about the alleged attack, she claimed he neither seemed surprised nor offered assistance in reporting the assault to the police.
Croft alleges that it was not easy to come forward, and this has taken a profound toll on her.
“I have suffered so profoundly because of what James Dolan and Harvey Weinstein did to me years ago, and it was not an easy decision to come forward and seek justice,” Croft said in a statement. “But for me, to truly address my trauma, I need to seek accountability. James Dolan manipulated me, brought me to California to abuse me, and then set me up for a vicious attack by Weinstein. My hope is that my lawsuit will force Dolan to acknowledge what he did to me and to take responsibility for the harm he has caused.”
In a statement from Dolan’s lawyer, E. Danya Perry, Dolan denied any wrongdoing towards the plaintiff.
“There is absolutely no merit to any of the allegations against Mr. Dolan. Kellye Croft and James Dolan had a friendship. The references to Harvey Weinstein are simply meant to inflame and appear to be plagiarized from prior cases against Mr. Weinstein. These claims reflect an act of retaliation by an attorney who has brought multiple cases against Mr. Dolan and has not, and cannot, win a judgement against him. Mr. Dolan always believed Ms. Croft to be a good person and is surprised she would agree to these claims. Bottom line, this is not a he said/she said matter and there is compelling evidence to back up our position. We look forward to proving that in court.”
Croft has put together a strong legal team. She is represented by attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor and Meredith A. Firetog of Wigdor LLP, Kevin Mintzer and Laura L. Koistinen of the Law Office of Kevin Mintzer, P.C., and Omar H. Bengali of Gerard Bengali, APC.
Widgor represents former New York Knicks legend forward Charles Oakley in his case against Madison Square Garden after an ejection from the arena in February 2017. Wigdor and Mintzer are currently representing nine other victims of Weinstein, and they led the Weinstein Company’s bankruptcy settlement.
Investigators have been “unable to corroborate any criminal activity” connected to Giddey, the Newport Beach Police Department announced on Wednesday.
Sources have reached out to the NBA and the Thunder for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Police in California investigating whether NBA player Josh Giddey was involved in relationship with a minor
In November, police opened an investigation after information began circulating online involving an alleged relationship between Giddey and a female minor. It is unclear what connection, if any, Giddey has to Newport Beach.
The Thunder will play in Salt Lake City, Utah, against the Jazz on Thursday.
“There was such a spiritual connection when I first met Jaafar, who has a natural ability to emulate Michael and such a great chemistry with the camera,” Fuqua told Variety.
No other details about the “Michael” biopic have been shared.
