On August 12, Cynthia revealed that her family had just received some positive news regarding Barbara’s health. She shared several glowing photos with her mom and her sister, captioning it, “THE POWER OF FAMILY & PRAYER.”

Cynthia went on to explain, “Just recently my beautiful mother @barbarafmorris was diagnosed with breast cancer. She didn’t feel anything but it showed up on her most recent mammogram. We took her to her first doctors appointment yesterday to confirm what stage and her treatment options. By the grace of God, we caught it early & it is only stage one. With surgery to remove the cancer & radiation she is going to be fine.”

Cynthia revealed why she ultimately decided to share the diagnosis, writing, “Initially I only shared this information with close friends & family but after getting the great news yesterday that my mom is going to be ok, I felt inclined to share it with all of you. Thank you for all the love & prayers & well wishes.”

She concluded by adding, “Ladies please make sure you get your mammograms yearly. Early detection is key!”

#HipHopNews: Nipsey Hussle's Brother Reportedly Removes Collaboration From The Game's

The Game’s album Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mind dropped Friday, but it was missing one major feature.

According to a tracklist, Nipsey Hussle was slated to appear on the track “World Tours.” However, the song was missing when the album hit streaming services on Friday.

Now Game’s manager Wack 100 claims that Nipsey’s brother, Blacc Sam, pulled the song less than two hours before the album’s release.

“I got an email from my attorney, at about 7:30, an hour-and-a-half before it dropped. Nipsey’s brother put in a demand for it to be pulled,” Wack said during a Clubhouse chat, according to Complex.

However, many fans were not surprised by the alleged removal considering Wack has tried to tarnish Nipsey’s legacy, once claiming he was not worthy of being called a “legend.”

Wack says his comments shouldn’t have an impact on Game. “These n***as be in their feelings,” he said. “You notice you got Meek Mill and a bunch of people over there Wack really don’t see eye to eye with… Whoever [The Game] work with, he work with. His shit ain’t my shit. The Game done drove around L.A., he’s been the biggest Nipsey supporter ever.”

He went on to claim that Sam was letting “emotions get in the front of business” and that he failed to acknowledge Game’s continued support of Nipsey.

“The Game, Nipsey song does nothing but work towards a remembrance of Nipsey,” Wack said. “He’s not here to drop music or promote music, so it’s just remembrance of Nipsey. So at the end of the day, I think where Blacc Sam goes wrong at, he’s being selfish with his anger … probably towards me. But he’s totally disregarding the acknowledgement that Game has given Nipsey since he’s been gone.”

After Nipsey’s death in 2019, Game penned an emotional tribute to his friend. “I love you….. I’m really broken & saddened by the fact they did this to you SMMFH !!!!!” he wrote. “This was not how your life on earth was supposed to end !!!!!!!! They don’t even make friends like you no more.”

This isn’t the only controversy surrounding Drillmatic. The album also features Game’s 10-minute Eminem diss track “The Black Slim Shady.”

Deshaun Watson publicly apologizes to “the women I have impacted”

As rumors swirl of a potential settlement of the NFL’s effort to discipline Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, he finally has shown remorse toward the massage therapists who accused him of wrongdoing.

“Look, I want to say that I’m truly sorry to all of the women that I have impacted in this situation,” Watson told Aditi Kinkhabwala in an interview that aired during the pregame show on Channel 5 for the team’s preseason opener, via Jake Trotter of ESPN.com. “The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position I would definitely like to have back, but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn and show that I am a true person of character and I am going to keep pushing forward.”

Watson previously had failed to show any remorse to his alleged victims. Judge Sue L. Robinson found that Watson engaged in non-violent sexual assault as to four women who provided him with private massages. He was sued by 24 women, with 23 of them settled, to date.

It’s a significant change in approach for Watson, who was chided by Judge Robinson for categorically denying wrongdoing in his version of the events provided to the league. Whether it will help his cause before appeal officer Peter Harvey remains to be seen. Before that happens, the two sides will have a chance to work out an agreed resolution.

Proud Mom Rents Billboard To Celebrate Daughter Becoming A Doctor

A proud New Jersey mom wanted to celebrate her daughter becoming a doctor in a big way.

To publicly recognize her daughter, Dr. Kristine Smalls, who graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kendra Busbee of Camden decided to rent a digital billboard. Smalls earned her doctorate in Psychology from the school on July 29th.

“I am the proudest mom knowing that I have the most awesome daughter. I can’t even explain the feeling that I have right now. She has done everything that a mother could wish their child could do,” Busbee told “Good Morning America.” “I wish nothing but the best for her.”

Busbee said she thought of renting the billboard after her daughter mentioned that a friend’s mom had done something similar. “I got on the phone, and I started making phone calls: ‘You know where I can get a billboard and who I can reach out to?'” Busbee said. “I reached out to someone that just opened up a bakery, and she directed me to someone that she used for her billboard, and they gave me an amazing price.”

Busbee kept the billboard a secret from Smalls and arranged for friends and family to meet them at a parking lot near the billboard on the day it went live. She then asked her daughter to accompany her to see friends at a pub near the billboard.

“I said, ‘Oh, I moved the car,’ and we’re walking to the car, and she’s like, ‘OK, I don’t know what’s going on.’ And she sees everybody outside of their car standing there, waiting. So she’s thinking that I’m giving her a COVID party [for her graduation],” Busbee told “Good Morning America.”. “I’m like, ‘The billboard!’ and she’s like, ‘Oh!’ … It was awesome.”

Smalls’ billboard featured a large photo of her in her graduation cap and tassel and read, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself… Dr. Kristine S. Smalls — Dr. Smiles — Look what good came out of Camden!”

“She just stood there in shock,” Busbee continued. “So I hugged her. She hugged me back. And I said, ‘We did it, baby. You did it.’ … And then I played Jay-Z’s ‘let me reintroduce myself,’ ” she added.

The mother of two says her daughter has wanted to be a doctor since age five and originally intended to become a pediatrician before switching to psychology in college.

Smalls, now 30, earned a master’s degree before completing a five-year doctorate program this year with a dissertation titled “African American Women’s Perspectives on Mental Health.”

Smalls will begin a post-doctoral program with the Resilience, Empowerment, And Creating Hope (REACH) School Program, which is part of Springfield Psychological, a Pennsylvania-based mental health practice, in the fall.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Bullet Train’ #1 for Second Week at Box Office

If you don’t build it, they won’t come. With no new major titles this week, audiences chose to stay home this weekend — and for the next two months, that could be our new normal. “Bullet Train” (Sony) dropped 55 percent in its second week, but led the top 10 with a gross of $13.4 million — the lowest figure for a #1 film in over six months. Similarly, the $65 million weekend total for all films is the worst showing since early February.

Over the last four months, when studios release major films theaters respond with encouraging results — sometime spectacular, in the case of “Top Gun: Maverick” (Paramount). Five films passed $300 million domestic, similar to 2019 (although today’s higher ticket prices made it easier).

Grosses for the year to date are about two thirds of 2019 through the same date, but that result could prove to be the high water mark for some time — and that’s still not close to what theaters need to return to something like normalcy.

“We’re the Millers,” and “Planes” debuted between $22 million-$30 million (and ticket prices were about one third lower than they are today). “Straight Outta Compton” opened to $60 million, “The Meg” $45 million.

This weekend was the exception that proved the rule: There were no new wide releases. The lack of new films is the result of production lags during Covid and studios releaseing their top titles during the prime summer months, but this weekend came in at 48 percent of the same date in 2019. The ongoing four-week rolling total has declined to 55 percent compared to three years ago. Again, that’s its lowest level since February.

A strong August needed “Bullet Train” on a trajectory to surpass $100 million by some distance. Instead, its performance is adequate; it has a shot at  $90 million. The month also required some overachievers; so far, that hasn’t happened either. “Easter Sunday” (Universal) was one hope, but its second weekend placed it outside the top 10 with $2.4 million.

A24 has been a reliable source for sleeper hits. Its horror comedy “Bodies Bodies Bodies” came in #8 with $3.25 million its second weekend expanding to 1,275 theaters. It will add hundreds more with the potential for positive results, but it’s not a gamechanger. “Fall” was Lionsgate’s first release in months and genre titles are a frequent source of the company’s success. With a $2.5 million opening, this low-budget thriller might be profitable but won’t do much to move the needle in a soft month.

This summer has seen strong holds; on most weeks, many holdover titles fall less than 30 percent. That didn’t happen this weekend; only “Top Gun: Maverick” avoided that fate. In fact, it added 421 theaters and grossed $7.15 million, up two percent from last weekend. All other holdovers dropped more than 30 percent, despite the lack of fresh films.

It will take Monday’s numbers to confirm whether”Maverick” or “DC League of Super-Pets” is #2 (Warners claims the slot for now by $20,000), but either way “Maverick” shows that people flock to what they want, and sometimes more than once. The Tom Cruise movie now should easily hit $700 million domestic, with the potential of many millions more.

Two new releases and one reissue also amassed over $1 million. “Laal Singh Chaddha” (Paramount), an Indian remake of “Forrest Gump,” grossed $1.47 million in 516 theaters — on par with “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial” (Universal), which had an impressive rerelease for $1.07 million in 389. “Mack & Rita” (Gravitas Ventures) with Diane Keaton showed little appeal with $1.1 million in 1,930 theaters.

Among other specialized titles, “Emily the Criminal” (Roadside Attractions), a well-received Sundance thriller with Audrey Plaza, managed $669,000 in 473 theaters. “Summering” (Bleecker Street), another Sundance-premiered title from James Ponsoldt (“The Spectacular Now”) though was a more typical example of the plight of similar specialized releases. It could only corral $31,317 in 260 theaters.

SADNESS: Hit-and-Run Leaves 3 People Dead, 1 Critically Injured in Chicago

A hit-and-run crash in Chicago on Sunday morning left three people dead and another injured.

Authorities say the men were in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood in the 7000 block of South Jeffery when the hit-and-run occurred around 5 a.m.

The area is home to multiple businesses, including Jeffery Pub. The establishment released a statement regarding the incident. “A very unfortunate, tragic event occurred early this morning after closing. A small group of people were in the street and an unidentified vehicle drove past at a very high rate of speed, injuring several people and some deceased. Our heart’s heavy this morning that such tragic event has occurred. And to those that lost a loved one or friend we stand with you,” the statement read.

Surveillance footage showed the dark-colored sedan traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the men in the middle of the street. Separate dashcam footage, from a car at the scene, showed several people involved in a brawl as the car approached the men. A witness told WMAQ-TV, “I was standing outside the bar talking to one of the victims. I took about three steps, and a car came and hit him, and it (the body) flew over the car.” The unidentified woman described the scene as “a lot of chaos.” “He got hit and ‘boom, boom, boom,’ other people got hit, and I was just focused on who I was in front of,” she added.

Three victims were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. The fourth victim was transported to Stroger Hospital. Authorities told WLS-TV, the man remains in critical but stable condition. Authorities have not released the victims’ identities.

The horrific video of the hit-and-run has surfaced online, where countless people have expressed outrage and sorrow. “My condolences goes out to the families. This is so sad,” wrote one person. “This really shouldn’t be shared. I feel for their family and friends watching this,” wrote another. A third commented, “Omg…this is too much. People are losing their minds.”

Mariah Carey’s Atlanta home burglarized while she was on vacation

Mariah Carey might want to be more careful when posting vacation photos.

While Carey was busy vacationing in both Capri, Italy and luxuriating in a $20 million mansion in the Hamptons, her Atlanta home was burglarized.

Police have confirmed the break-in, but tell us that since “this is still an open investigation, the information may be limited.” It is unknown what was taken.

Carey’s reps did not respond to request for comment. A trust, using the same name as several other Carey properties and business interests, bought the $5.65 million dollar mansion in November 2021. The nine-bedroom, 13-bathroom home features a pool, tennis court and playground.

Carey meanwhile spent last month in Italy with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka and her twins Monroe and Moroccan.

Pictures of the group were all over the internet — perhaps alerting thieves the house would be empty — hanging out on a yacht and frolicking in the sea. She posted the trip on Instagram.

The “All I Want for Christmas” singer also used social media to promote real estate company Nestseekers for helping her find a Hamptons rental. “Out East for the week, soaking it all in,” she posted on July 25.

The Water Mill home, dubbed Eagles Point, is on the market for $20 million. Carey paid more than six figures for her two week stay. Police are still investigating the burglary.

The burglary was reported to police on July 27.

Carey is known for a decadent lifestyle. Back in 2017, the diva showed off her Tribeca closet to Vogue, showing off stacks of Louboutins and Birkin bags, as well as Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

Deputy in Kobe Bryant photo trial says, "I did nothing wrong"

Vanessa Bryant’s attorney says she is haunted by the thought of the horrific images being made public.

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy has admitted to taking and sharing photos of the horrific helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, and seven others in Jan. 2020. But, Deputy Doug Johnson stands by his actions, stating that there was nothing wrong with him capturing images of the site or victims while appearing in court Friday (Aug. 12).

Bryant’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, and Chris Chester, who lost his wife and daughter in the crash, filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the county, citing negligence and invasion of privacy over crash site photos that were shared. Hearings in the civil trial began Wednesday (Aug. 10).

According to CBS Los Angeles, Johnson said he “searched the site for about 15 minutes looking for survivors, moved a handful of hikers away, and taped off the area before snapping photos on his cell phone.” Johnson further claimed that he only snapped 25 images that were shared with his command post deputy and a county fire supervisor.

“I know I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said while on the stand. Bryant’s attorney, Luis Li, argued otherwise. “They were shared by deputies playing video games. They were shared repeatedly with people who had absolutely no reason to receive them,” said Li.

While the images have never surfaced online, Li said that Bryant lives in constant fear that she may be faced with the gruesome images. In an attempt to drive that point home, he said she “will be haunted by what they did forever.”

The NBA legend, his daughter,,and members of her basketball team were headed to a tournament on Jan. 26 when their helicopter crashed into a Calabasas hillside. Weeks after the fatal accident, the Los Angeles Lakers star’s wife opened up about her struggles to accept the unimaginable loss.

“I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong. Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad. She had so much life to live,” wrote the mother of four.

Keke Palmer says she's ready to "ACK" after being compared to Whitney Houston

Palmer got her start in the industry two decades ago with a role in Barbershop 2: Back in

KeKe Palmer is ready to put her acting chops to the test by portraying the legendary vocalist Whitney Houston. Palmer made the declaration after fans enthusiastically compared her mannerisms to the “I Will Always Love You” singer on social media.

The tweet that set off a flood of reactions was a compilation of video clips where Houston is seen making an array of facial expressions, dancing and carrying out other antics. The social media user wrote, “Keke Palmer and Whitney Houston act exactly the exact same.”

The actress seemingly co-signed the post by re-sharing it along with the following message: “Let’s get the movie made y’all. I’m ready to ACK, we abt to weep in the theaters.” Palmer is among Hollywood’s rising leading ladies. At just 28 years old, she has already starred in a handful of critically acclaimed films, such as Akeelah and the Bee and Hustlers.

Palmer got her start in the industry two decades ago with a role in Barbershop 2: Back in Business. Since then, she has gone on to star in over 30 films. She also had her own show on Nickelodeon, “True Jackson, VP,” and a talk show on BET, “Just Keke.” The latter was an enormous career milestone as she became the youngest TV host in the history of television.

Her latest project is Nope, a sci-fi film written and directed by Jordan Peele. The former “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke” co-host plays Emerald Haywood, the spunky and inquisitive sister to co-star Daniel Kaluuya’s character, OJ Haywood.

There is currently no word of a Houston biopic being in the works, but there is no doubt Palmer will manage to stay busy in the meantime. Having accomplished so much already, it would seem as though Palmer has nothing left to conquer. But, it’s quite the opposite, according to the multi-hyphenated talent.

“I think a goal for me would be doing a lot more behind-the-scenes like producing, writing and directing. I’ve always loved to perform and be in front of the camera, but I definitely look forward to doing stuff behind the camera,

Anne Heche Was Reportedly In Serious Financial Troubles Months Before Her Car Crash

Months before her fatal car crash, actress Anne Heche reportedly was accused of failing to keep up payments on a debt financing plan and got taken to court. According to court documents, Citibank sued Heche for failing to make her loan payments.

The suit documents revealed that Heche owed the bank over 60 thousand dollars at the time of filing. The debt was part of her payments for a loan she took to pay for her home with Thomas Jane, her ex-boyfriend.

Heche was recently involved in a fatal car crash after she drove her car into a home in Los Angeles. Her family has now announced that they have taken the actress off life support after doctors confirmed she would not survive her injuries.

According to the official court documents RadarOnline obtained, Citibank sued Heche on March 3rd, 2021, to recover the rest of her debt. The bank claimed they had granted a loan to Heche, and she now owed them over 60 thousand dollars.

The documents also claimed that Heche lived in Los Angeles, in the home she had bought with her ex-boyfriend and actor Thomas Jane. Heche and Jane started dating in 2019, and soon after, they purchased a $1.9 million home in LA’s Silver Lake neighborhood.

The case remained quiet for a while until August 2021, when Citibank officially notified the court that they had reached a settlement agreement with Heche, where she would make payment for her debt in installments.

All seemed well between Heche and the bank until January 2022, when Citibank notified the court that the “John Q” actress had defaulted on the settlement agreement by failing to make the agreed installment payment.

A legal representative for Citibank said, “[Heche] has defaulted on the payment arrangement under the conditional settlement agreement.” They further claimed that the last payment the actress made was in October 2021.

The bank revealed that as part of the agreement, Heche had agreed to pay a minimum of $5,170 every month until she paid back the full $62k. The payments were to begin in June 2021 and end in May 2022 if she had followed up with them.

The agreement between Heche and the bank also clarified that if the actress defaulted on a single payment, the bank reserved the right to demand her to pay the entire balance in full. The suit also stated that Heche had only paid $25k of the debt and still owed a total of $36,161.

Lea Michele shares first look inside ‘Funny Girl’ rehearsals

Lea Michele has shared a photo of herself singing “Don’t Rain On My Parade” while in rehearsals for her upcoming turn in the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl.”

The “Glee” alum, 35, who is set to replace Beanie Feldstein in the iconic role — which made Barbra Streisand a household name — took to her Instagram Story with the pic Friday.

“The incredible @ephieaardema got a photo of me singing Don’t Rain On My Parade on a Broadway stage for the first time ever today,” she captioned the snap, tagging her understudy, Ephie Aardema.

“@ephieaardema you are amazing I [love] you!!!” she added.

The image showed Michele dressed in black leggings, a black sweater and chorus shoes, belting the show-stopping Broadway number from the front of the stage, ahead of her September 6 debut.

Fans of “Glee” would recall her character Rachel Berry performed the song in the show’s first season.

Michele later brought down the house at the Tony Awards in 2010 when she sang the same tune.

Although the casting announcement marks a full circle moment for the actress, it hasn’t been without controversy.

Feldstein shocked the Broadway community when she took to social media last month to announce her early departure from the show.

“Once the production decided to take the show in a different direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to step away sooner than anticipated,” she cryptically wrote.

Fellow “Glee” alum Jane Lynch then announced her early departure from the production, but insisted it had “nothing to do with” her former co-star’s casting.

“I have a vacation Aug. 14, and then I had just like five shows after that, and it’s a six-hour flight, so I thought, ‘Let’s end it now,’” Lynch, 62, explained to Playbill earlier this month.

Although Michele is best known for her work on the small screen, she is also a Broadway vet who made her debut at age 8 as Young Cosette in “Les Misérables.”

She later appeared in productions of “Ragtime” and “Fiddler on the Roof” before originating the role of Wendla Bergmann in “Spring Awakening.”

She came under fire in 2020 when “Glee” co-star Samantha Marie Ware accused her of racist behavior on set.

She apologized at the time, writing in part on Instagram, “I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people.”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith seen together for the first time since Oscars slap

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been spotted out and about together for the first time since Will slapped Chris Rock over a joke at Jada’s expense during the 2022 Oscars back in March.

The pair, who appeared to be in good spirits, was snapped by photogs Saturday in Malibu near celebrity hot spot Nobu, walking hand-in-hand as Will waved to onlookers.

The Oscar winner wore a black hat, navy polo shirt and matching pants for the outing, completing the look with a fresh pair of white Air Force Ones. Jada also rocked sneakers with her all black ensemble, tying a flannel shirt around her waist and finishing off her look with delicate jewelry and a pair of shades.

The sighting comes weeks after Will released his latest apology for slapping Rock during the ceremony due to a “G.I. Jane” joke the comic told in reference to Jada, who suffers from hair loss condition alopecia.

“I reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk, but when he is, he will reach out,” Smith said in the video posted to YouTube. “I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

Jada addressed the moment during a June episode of her Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk,” saying she would like, “these two intelligent, capable men to have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.

This is the first time the couple have been seen out in public together since Will slapped Chris Rock during the Oscars.

“The state of the world today, we need them both,” she continued. “And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

Zendaya Reveals What She Wants To See in 'Euphoria' Season 3

Zendaya is opening up about her thoughts about the future of Euphoria.

Speaking with THR about her recent Emmy nominations, the 25-year-old actress shared what she’d like to see on the HBO series in the upcoming third season

When asked about her hopes for season three, Zendaya didn’t beat around the bush and revealed she would actually like to see a kind of time jump.

“I think it’ll be exciting to explore the characters out of high school,” she shared. “I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look.”

Zendaya added that she’d want to see that “with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be.”

Halle Berry's boyfriend, Van Hunt, celebrates her 56th birthday: "I love you with everything I got'

Halle Berry is 56 and fabulous, and her boyfriend Van Hunt wants the world to know it.

In a sweet Instagram post, singer-songwriter Hunt shared a series of photos and videos of Berry, who can be seen doing everything from sporting a short black wig to mugging for the camera with a fake mustache.

"Hi, baby. It's ur bday, and against ur wishes I am screaming it to the mountaintops, and celebrating with the world the wonderful, loving, funny, and life-giving force you are," Hunt, 52, captioned the photo and video series, emphasizing the letters "H" and "B" to mimic Berry's initials. "(H)appy (B)irthday, boo. I love you with everything I got."

Berry and Hunt have dated since 2020. In an interview with Women's Health, she spoke candidly about their relationship.

"I wish I had met him sooner so I could have loved him longer," Berry, who was been married three times and is a mom of two, explained. "I just feel fulfilled. I feel happy in my life romantically, as a mother, as an artist. I'm a much better mother in this circumstance than I would have been had I stayed in a romantic relationship that didn't serve me and didn't make me feel the way I need to feel as a woman."

Back in January, the couple had friends and fans fooled when Berry posted a photo of them kissing in a chapel during a tropical getaway over New Year's weekend, Yahoo Entertainment previously reported.

"Well…IT’S OFFICIAL!" the Oscar winner captioned the shot, while a second slide shows her and Hunt posing for a selfie with "It's 2022!" written over it.

Many people, including Naomi Campbell, Octavia Spencer, Taraji P. Henson and Dwayne Johnson, assumed the couple had wed, and posted comments of congratulations for the duo.

However, Berry and Hunt were quick to dispel the rumjors, returning to Instagram the following day to confirm that their so-called wedding announcement was just a joke that didn't really land.

"We were just having some New Year’s Day fun!" Berry captioned a selfie of the two looking down at the camera. "People clearly don’t swipe as much as we thought they did. Thank you for the well wishes, tho’, it really touched our hearts! Now it’s OFFICIAL, the internet is no longer undefeated."

Warner Bros. Discovery Condemns Threat Against J.K. Rowling Made After Salman Rushdie Attack

Warner Bros. Discovery has condemned the threats made against “Harry Potter” creator J.K. Rowling after she expressed concern for “The Satanic Verses” author Salman Rushdie.

On Friday, after Rushdie was attacked on stage in western New York, Rowling tweeted in response: “Feeling very sick right now. Let him be ok.”

A Twitter user then threatened Rowling with the message: “Don’t worry you are next.” Rowling tweeted Twitter directly with the message: “any chance of some support?”

Rowling also thanked those sending her supportive messages, adding that the “Police are involved.”

On Sunday, Warner Bros. Discovery issued a statement: “Warner Bros. Discovery strongly condemns the threats made against J.K. Rowling. We stand with her and all the authors, storytellers and creators who bravely express their creativity and opinions. WBD believes in freedom of expression, peaceful discourse and supporting those who offer their views in the public arena. Our thoughts are with Sir Salman Rushdie and his family following the senseless act of violence in New York. The company strongly condemns any form of threat, violence or intimidation when opinions, beliefs and thoughts might differ.”

Meanwhile, Rushdie, 75, has been taken off a ventilator and is able to talk. The person accused of attacking the author has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and remains in custody without bail.

On Saturday, President Joe Biden expressed solidarity with Rushdie.

“Jill and I were shocked and saddened to learn of the vicious attack on Salman Rushdie yesterday in New York. We, together with all Americans and people around the world, are praying for his health and recovery. I am grateful to the first responders and the brave individuals who jumped into action to render aid to Rushdie and subdue the attacker,” Biden said in a statement.

“Salman Rushdie — with his insight into humanity, with his unmatched sense for story, with his refusal to be intimidated or silenced — stands for essential, universal ideals. Truth. Courage. Resilience. The ability to share ideas without fear. These are the building blocks of any free and open society. And today, we reaffirm our commitment to those deeply American values in solidarity with Rushdie and all those who stand for freedom of expression,” the statement added.

Tiffany Haddish Asked Usher For Permission Before Using Herpes Joke

Unlike other comedians who have recently come under fire for their jokes, Tiffany Haddish makes sure to ask for permission before making someone the butt of her quips.

The comedian and actress told Cosmopolitan for its Travel Issue that she makes sure to “check and verify with people” beforehand. “If I can’t say it to your face, I shouldn’t be able to say it,” she said. “Period. That’s how I draw the line.”

When asked for an example, she pointed to Usher.

“I got this joke, ‘I curse you out with joy. I hope that you spread it. I hope you spread it like Usher spreads herpes.’ I have said that in front of Usher,” Haddish said, adding that Usher responded, “Your ass is crazy.” She also apparently told him, “I said, ‘Yeah, well, there’s a rumor out there saying you got herpes. I don’t know if you do or don’t, but that sh*t is funny.’” And he agreed.

“If he had said, ‘Tiff, don’t say that no more. I don’t like it. I’m not comfortable with you saying that,’ I would stop saying it.”

A few years ago, Usher made headlines when a handful of women claimed that he gave them the sexually transmitted disease, and sued him for it. While one case was reportedly settled outside the court and the others were dismissed, the news spurred a number of memes and jokes.

Kodak Black Demands Return of Car and $75,000 in Cash Seized During Arrest

Kodak Black is seeking help from the court to retrieve the Dodge Durango and nearly $75,000 in cash taken from him during his arrest in Florida last month.

Kodak’s attorney Bradford Cohen filed a motion requesting that the court pushes for the return of the car and cash seized as part of the rapper’s arrest where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking in oxycodone, per TMZ. The Pompano Beach native was released the following day after posting a $75,000 bond.

Cohen claimed the 31 oxycodone pills found in Kodak’s vehicle were prescribed to him since he has “battled chronic pain after getting shot in February during a scuffle in L.A. over Super Bowl weekend,” and added that he dealt with “ongoing pain” after being assaulted by prison guards. His lawyer argues that since his prescriptions have been turned over to authorities, there is no reason to withhold his car and $74,960 in cash.

As part of his release, Kodak is under house arrest and required to wear an ankle monitor and undergo drug testing. He can still perform at venues and attend events as long as he provides a notification two days in advance.

Kodak later posted and deleted a series of tweets in which he accused the arresting officers of racial profiling, and questioned why his car was searched, in addition to cuffing him after his medication was found in his vehicle. He also threatened to sue everyone involved “for every dollar I gotta spend bout this shit.”

Oklahoma Man Killed His Three Kids, Himself, In Murder-Suicide

An Oklahoma family is facing tragedy after a father fatally shot his three children before turning the gun on himself following a domestic dispute.

Court documents show the kid’s mother left the house after a domestic incident. The woman left the three children with their father, Francoise Littlejohn, 30. He became upset with the children’s mother and live-streamed on social media, indicating that he might harm the children.

The family saw the video and alerted the police around 4 a.m. last Saturday to a video that depicted Littlejohn waving a gun while a child was present. In the video, he threatened to shoot and kill the kid.

Police tried to locate the white Dodge Charger but couldn’t find it for several hours. A runner passing by saw the car still running with Littlejohn and the three children deceased inside.

The kids were identified as Kyren Littlejohn, 6, Aliyah Littlejohn, 4, and Trinity Littlejohn, 3. Investigators said the children suffered injuries consistent with homicide and their father appeared to have died by suicide. Littlejohn was found with a gun and cell phone in his lap.

A GoFundMe was created to help the family with funeral costs.
