Joan Smalls for Vogue Mexico - April 2020!
Under the leadership of Karla Martinez de Salas, Vogue Mexico and Latin America has released some memorable and at times groundbreaking covers. There was the issue starring actor Yalitza Aparicio (Jan. 2019), the one fronted by a group of Afro-Dominican models sporting their natural hair (Sept. 2019) and the one with Paloma Elsesser wearing Chanel on the beach (April 2019). The magazine has made a considered effort to spotlight talent from the region — and for its latest edition, it's focusing on two of the biggest stars to come out of Puerto Rico: artist Bad Bunny and model Joan Smalls.
Vogue Mexico and Latin America posted the joint cover on Thursday afternoon. The accompanying caption explains, in Spanish, how the photo shoot happened in early March and how now, the team looks back on the memory of being on set as motivation for when they're able to come together once again and create something special (since, right now, it's not possible, given the worldwide pandemic.)
"At this difficult moment we're facing globally, a photo shoot like this doesn't seem possible," it reads (translated roughly by me). "We're sharing this from our homes, an issue that could feel parallel to reality, as things have changed in a matter of weeks, days. Still, it means a lot to us. It's our motor as a team to see a future (not too distant) in which we can bring you these stories, from any place in Mexico and Latin America."
And you know what? At a time when I feel scared, when I worry about both my current city and the beautiful island I grew up on, one that has already been through so much, this cover brought me joy. A lot of it. So I need to share it with all of you.

#RHOA: So NeNe Leakes Wants Kim Zolciak Back On The Show?
The last time Real Housewives of Atlanta fans saw NeNe Leakes with Kim Zolciak was the Season 10 reunion. Pretty much the whole cast was against Kim. Even Andy Cohen told her that she brought “nothing positive” to RHOA that season. In the backstage footage, Kim even declared that “racism isn’t all that real.” And we all cringed in unison.
Later, Kim and NeNe confirmed that they were in touch and on better terms. Kim checked in while Gregg Leakes battled cancer. And now, these two are still cool, believe it or not. So does this mean Kim might come back to RHOA whenever they start filming Season 13? Believe it or not, NeNe would be down, but she doesn’t think the others would be on board.
In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, NeNe said that her fellow cast members “don’t agree, for a couple of reasons” when it comes to a Kim return.
NeNe began, “One is Kim is an OG, and I think these girls really, really have an issue with OGs. Kim’s an OG and she’s gonna get a little bit more respect from people than they might get, and I think they have an issue with that.”
NeNe continued, “You know Kim, you know she’s not backing down. So, she’s gonna be arguing with everybody. Everybody. Including me.”
Would Kim even come back after that the drama she had on Season 10? NeNe shared, “I don’t know if Kim would ever come back,” she said. “It was a lot for her the last time she was here.” That’s putting it mildly.
Still, there are some yawn-inducing cast members on this show, who should be fired or demoted. Maybe bringing back Kim would bring some entertainment.
#MusicNews: Brian McKnight Shares Wedding Footage In Video For Single “Nobody”!
We already knew that Brian McKnight was paying tribute to his wife on his latest single “Nobody”. The legendary singer takes it to another level as he shares footage from his wedding in the visual for the song.
“Nobody was written by McKnight, produced by Earl Cohen, Chris Paultre and Claude Villani, and released earlier this month. McKnight called it “One of the greatest love songs I’ve written” when he originally put it out.

The song is expected to be included on McKnight’s upcoming 20th studio album “Exodus”. The project is scheduled to release on June 26th, 2020 via the SRG ILS Group/UMG label imprint and is rumored to be his final album.
Also included on “Exodus” will be the previously released singles “When I’m Gone”, “Neva Get Enuf Of U”, and other original compositions and maybe some other surprises.

Da Brat lives a very private life, but she recently went public with her girlfriend, Jesseca Dupart.
Dupart is known on social media for her Kaleidoscope Hair products, and fans have speculated that the two were an item for a while. The beauty mogul posted a picture of them hugging and the caption simply read, “Yep” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Dupart, also known as DaRealBBJudy, shared a touching video of the moment she gifted Da Brat a Bentley as an early birthday gift. “This video was taken 3•16,” she wrote in the message. “Her birthday is 4•14 but with the way things were going and my excitement I couldn’t wait. it’s so crazy cuz I ordered a CUSTOM bow for the presentation and didn’t even wait on it.”
Brat responded on Twitter expressing her gratitude for the gift and her lady. “Never have I EVER. Needless to say… I’ve always been a kind of private person until I met my heart’s match who handles some things differently than I do. Thank you baby,” she posted.
Essence Festival 2020 Has Been Postponed Due To #COVID19!
The 2020 Essence Festival has been postponed due to the Coronavirus. The annual festival that celebrates black women and takes place on July 4thweekend has been pushed back closer to the fall. In a statement, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said, “With the significant spread of COVID-19, we are taking every precaution in the best interest of our residents, visitors, and all who attend and make ESSENCE the worldwide phenomenon that it is. We look forward to welcoming everyone back from near and far and express our deepest gratitude to all who are helping our city, state and nation get through this rapidly evolving crisis.”
As we previously reported Janet Jackson and Bruno Mars were announced as the headliners for this year’s festival.
In a statement, via Twitter, the event organizers said “Based on developments over the past couple of weeks, including updates from our city and health partners, we are officially announcing that we will move the 2020 ESSENCE Festival of Culture closer to the fall. As we previously indicated, we were already moving forward with identifying and securing alternate dates and will be prepared to announce those shortly,”

Chris Brown Films A Woman Trying To Climb Over His Gate & Sneak Onto His Property!
Well, It looks like Chris Brown is having an interesting quarantined weekend. On Saturday (March 28th), the 30-year-old singer posted a video on Instagram of a woman who snuck onto his property and began yelling at him and his friends.
The Grammy award-winning singer captioned the video,
“Mental Illness is real!! She tried to sneak over the gate at my crib but she saw my dog and he saw her (What da F*** was my homie zooming into) @teezioe full credit).”
The video begins with her yelling and asking him “You know Lorita”. He responds back saying “ NO” and that’s “she’s crazy”. She also makes a comment about Chris Brown and Trey Songs being gay.
Later in the video, the woman screams,
“I’ve never liked you even though you were my life partner”.
Chris brown and his friends are heard laughing and somewhat shocked by the situation. Brown’s friend also states that other neighbors were outside recording the woman and the exchange that was taking place.

It’s unclear how the woman was able to find Chris Brown’s property let alone gain access to it. He appeared to be hanging out with friends at his home without any security.
Although the video was entertaining, we are glad that the incident didn’t escalate. Safe to say, it might be time for Chris Brown to step up his home security system.
Tiffany Haddish Says She Working On 'Girl's Trip 2' While Quarantined!
Tiffany Haddish might be social distancing and staying home like the rest of us, but she’s also working on the sequel to Girl’s Trip, too!
Talking with Huffington Post, the 40-year-old actress revealed that she, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Jada Pinkett Smith have been in contact about a sequel to the 2017 film.
Tiffany shared that Tracy Oliver, who co-wrote the script for the first film with Kenya Barris, has a treatment ready to go.
“Then it was like, ‘Oh, you guys want too much money,’” she said, opening up about how the five had a Zoom meeting about the sequel.
She joked that “we might decide not to even make it Girls Trip. Maybe we’ll do a different story just in case no one wants to make Girls Trip 2.”
Tiffany also opened up about how she’s doing during quarantine.
“I have a garden. I’ve got plenty of food in the freezer. I got Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime; I’ve got cable. I have a room that I’ve got to clean out. I have so many bills that are a year old that I just paid online,” she shared, adding that she’s also caught up on her movies to watch list too.

Mariah Carey is celebrating her big birthday with her babies!
The entertainer took to Instagram on Saturday (March 28) to share a few photos from the night before while celebrating her 50th birthday.
“Spent 3.27 at home with my family and virtually with fans and friends from all over the world. Thank you for all the love 🦋❤️🥳 #eternally12,” Mariah captioned the below photos, which featured 8-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
Mariah had one cake that had “12″ candles on it, and she then posed with a second cake that had “Happy Anniversary Mariah” written across it.
Mariah has shared in previous interviews that she refers to her birthday’s as anniversaries.
Elderly Woman Died After Being Pinched For Not Social Distancing Herself!
An elderly woman died after being attacked in a Brooklyn hospital for not or practicing social distancing, police sources said Sunday.
According to the N.Y. Post, police sources said the 86-year-old woman, Janie Marshall, was punched by a patient in Woodhull Hospital just after 2 p.m. on Saturday. The senior was awaiting treatment for bowel blockage at the hospital in Brooklyn.
Marshall was in the Emergency Room at the city-run Woodhull Medical Center when she was struck in the face by a 32-year-old patient who was awaiting psychiatric treatment. The woman had gotten out of her nearby bed to launch the seemingly unprovoked attack, eyewitnesses said.
The elderly woman was knocked off her feet and cracked her head on the ground. Her attacker allegedly told a Health and Hospitals Corp. police officer that she did it because Marshall “didn’t stay more than 6 feet away.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Marshall died about three hours later, while hospital workers were waiting to give her a CT scan. The police source says hospital workers didn’t call cops in the 79th Precinct until 10:30 p.m. because the medical center was flooded with patients.
The female patient who shoved the elderly woman was initially given a summons for disorderly conduct, but cops are now seeking to arrest Marshall’s alleged attacker on upgraded charges.
Ciara And Russell Wilson Shares On How They First Met!
Ciara and Russell Wilson’s relationship is a page out of a fairy tale. To celebrate their fifth anniversary together, the gorgeous couple took to Twitter urging fans to tune in to Ciara’s Instagram Live for the complete story of how they met. Their caption read: “5 years ago..we first met.. and I instantly fell madly in Love. Sooo... We’re going Live with y’all today at 3pm pst on @Ciara ‘s IG Live! Join us! Love, Russell & Ciara.”
During the video, the Wilsons shared never-heard-before stories about their first encounter, and how Russell’s “janky” wallet caught Ciara’s eye. The award-winning singer told him he was losing it.
“I had this wallet. She says it was janky, I said it was necessary,” Russell said. “So, I was single and I lost all my stuff back then. So, I had this Bible-looking wallet. It had like my cards on one side, my phone on the other, but it was a broke-down wallet.”
The NFL quarterback continued, “You need a man that’s going to be consistent for you. This wallet has been consistent for me.”
In the clip, Russell also admitted that Ciara helped upgrade his dressing. “I’m going to give you the credit, but listen, you stepped up my fashion game a little bit,” he said. “Everyone makes fun because I wore the Hawaiian shirt, and that’s the only photo y’all see. I’m going to Hawaii…anyways, I’ll leave that back there. But listen, you said level up, I leveled up.”
Russell also mentioned that he knew Ciara was “the one” because they liked their cheeseburgers the same way. He recalled a time when he grabbed a late-night dinner from Fat Burger and they both ordered a double cheeseburger with only ketchup.
According to them, every woman needs a consistent man, and every man needs a woman who will help them level up! Cheers to the Wilsons on celebrating five years.

Timbaland Remixes Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’!
After first teasing the track in November, the super-producer has debuted his long-awaited remix to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Timbo gives the ’80s dance anthem a complete makeover, flipping it into a sultry slow jam, the perfect addition to your quarantine and chill playlist.
Timbo decided to release the remix in light of the times. “I feel like the world needs to hear this beautiful voice right now so I want to share this with you,” he said.
“I Wanna Dance With Somebody” was the first single from Houston’s 1987 album Whitney. The 3x platinum hit topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Alleged Domestic Battery Victim Files Restraining Order Against Yung Berg!
Talia Tilley, the alleged victim in the domestic battery investigation against Yung Berg, has filed a restraining order against the Chi-Town rapper, claiming that she fears for her life.
As we reported, Tilley says that Berg pistol-whipped her. pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her earlier this month. The two slept together, but she claims that Berg, whose real name is Christian Ward, accused her of trying to rob him and would not let her leave until she gave up her cell phone and passcode. She alleges that when she was allowed to leave hours later, Berg kept her ID. She claims the rapper has been trashing her on social media ever since.
A judge granted Tilley the restraining order, which leaves Berg facing domestic battery charges. Her proof? pictures of her with two black eyes, a broken nose and cuts on her face.

'American Idol' Blog Leaks the Top 20 Contestant List of the 2020 Season, Reportedly!
Heads up: This is a major spoiler alert.
Quick, look away if you'd rather not know who makes it into the top 20 ahead of this week's new American Idol episodes.
Just like last year, the Idol-centric blog Idol Pad is back at it again sharing (alleged) spoilers regarding who in the top 40 makes it out of the showcase at the Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii and into the top 20 slot. The blog claims that when the episodes were shot in late January, it received special tips about what went down from crew members, contestants, family members, and fans. Though Idol Pad bloggers recognize that there could be an "incorrect conclusion" based on what their "sources" are telling them, they are confident that their list is correct.
Of course, the question becomes ... can we trust that Idol Pad's spoilers are real? While we can't definitively say one way or another until the competition show reveals its top 20 contestants officially, it's important to note that Idol Pad was accurate last year, so take that for what it's worth

The standouts include former America's Got Talent season 13 contestant Makayla Phillips, American Juniors's Grace Leer, Sunday's Best: Race to the Stage winner DeWayne Crocker, Jr., and fan favorite Dibesh Pokharel (a.k.a. Arthur Gunn). Unfortunately, according to Idol Pad's notes at least, that means the end of the road may be near for Makayla Brownlee, Perrin York, and several other crazy-talented performers.
Even if everything Idol Pad says is going to happen winds up happening, it's still more than worth it to keep tuning in to see all the contestants' performances. Plus, who knows, maybe Idol Pad will end up being off — you'll just have to watch (on Sunday, March 29 and Monday, March 30) to find out for sure.
Woman Charged After Coughing On $35,000 Worth Of Produce At Grocery Store!
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa.- A woman has been arrested and charged after police say she coughed on $35,000 worth of produce at a grocery store in Pennsylvania.
Margaret Cirko has been charged with felony counts of terrorist threats, threats to use a "biological agent' and criminal mischief.
She was also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal attempt to commit retail theft and disorderly conduct.
Cirko reportedly went into the store, threatened staff while she was sick and intentionally coughed and spat on merchandise.
$50,000.
The grocery store threw away all of the produce and employees were forced to clean and disinfect everything.
