Remembering 9/11 Comemorating The 10th Anniversary of the World Trade Center Attacks

REMEMBERING 9/11:Photos Of The Brand New National September 11th Memorial Released

Stunning photos of "Reflecting Absence", part of the National Sept. 11th Memorial, have been released. And it's truly a work of art.

As I remember the 9/11 attacks during this 10-year-anniversary weekend, spectacular photos of The National September 11th Memorial have been revealed. The memorial has been the center of much political and social controversy over the years. But it's safe to say, the work of art constructed in downtown NYC, on the site of where the World Trade Center's twin towers formerly stood, is a beautiful sentiment at its core.
Titled "Reflecting Absence" was designed by Daniel Libesking and features two reflecting pools at the base of where the twin towers once stood.
And along the outer perimeters of the waterfall are the names of the nearly 3,000 men, women, and children that were killed on the site during the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 including the persons who died aboard United Airlines Flight 93 and aboard American Airlines Flight 77.

Another stunning photo, taken at night, shows the beautiful skyline that will be created when the reflecting pools are illuminated. And the Freedom Tower, still under construction, will be lit up red, white, and blue in remembrance, and stands next to the reflecting pools

President Obama and wife Michelle were joined by former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura at Ground Zero this morning in NYC for the official 9/11 memorial dedication ceremony. The Memorial, taking place at the former site of the WTC, is to the Americans lost in the September 11, 2001 attacks. See photos and watch the live stream from the event inside....

Earlier this morning in NYC.....
President Barack Obama was photographed reading the names of 9/11 victims engraved on the National September 11 Memorial "Reflecting Absence."
He was joined by his stunning wife, First Lady Michelle, along with former President George W. Bush and Laura.
The President and First Lady also offered comfort to the family members of Americans lost during the attacks.
Both the Obama and the Bush family paid tribute to the victims and survivors of the attacks along with thousands of other Americans. Everyone gathered to reflect on the pain caused since "...terrorists caused the Twin Towers to crumble, flew into the side of the Pentagon and crashed a plane in Pennsylvania."

During the ceremony, the names of the 2,753 who dies at Ground Zero were read aloud.

Here’s a Poem from; Hannah Schoechert

We're Still Standing
Those twin towers
Standing tall with pride,
Fell with grieving hearts.
Stunned, America cried.
But we're still standing.

Bin Laden tried
To crush our land,
But we stood our ground
With our flag in hand

And we're still standing.
Red for the valor
And the blood that fell.
White for the purity
Our heroes tell.

Blue for the justice
That will be done,
Proving once more
These colors don't run

And we're still standing.
And to add to that. We will always stand we are STRONG, RESILIENT, AND UNWAVERING.

We are Americans and NOTHING shall destroy us!
NEVER FORGET 9/11/2001!!!
