#RHOA: Porsha Confronts Dennis in Shocking RHOA Season 17 Midseason Trailer: "You Are the Trauma"

The midseason trailer for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 is here to smoke out the traitors within the group.
The newly dropped teaser, which you can check out above, features the RHOA cast— including Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley, Kelli Potter, Pinky Cole, K. Michelle, and friend Cynthia Bailey — navigating heated drama, both in ATL and abroad in Scotland on a getaway inspired by Peacock's The Traitors.
Not all of the upcoming conflicts in the sneak peek are exclusive to the women, however. In one tense moment, for example, Porsha appears to blast her ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, fuming, "You are the trauma — not the drama, the f--king trauma."
Dennis and Porsha during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17.
It's unclear if their ongoing conflict will impact Porsha's budding relationship with her "lady friend," Patrice "Sway" McKinney, who had previously questioned if she had any "baby daddy drama," since she and Dennis share 7-year-old daughter Pilar Jhena "PJ" McKinley. However, Sway is shown in the preview telling Porsha that she didn't "sign up for no damn anxiety." In the next clip, Porsha is crying and hugging someone for comfort.
Meanwhile, Porsha's long-brewing beef with Shamea re-enters the spotlight, after The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle Bryant pops up to ask the former for an update on their relationship. Cut to K. Michelle declaring, "She is absolutely devastated by this friendship," before Shamea is seen crying and covering her face in the back of a dark vehicle.
More clarity on what led to that moment arrives later as Porsha and Shamea go toe to toe over past issues between their mothers. Their castmates jaws drop as the former besties both accuse each other, as well as their moms, of being "lowdown dirty snakes."
Afterward, Shamea cries in Kelli's arms, explaining, "This is my real life, you know what I'm saying?"
The Georgia peaches are back, as The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 is officially underway, with new episodes airing Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and streaming the next day on Peacock.
The returning RHOA Season 17 cast members include Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley, and Kelli Ferrell, along with newcomers Pinky Cole and K. Michelle. The women are joined by friend Cynthia Bailey.

#MusicNews: Syd Announces First Album 'Beard' in Four Years
Syd’s third album is on the way. Beard arrives on July 17 via Warner imprint Free Lunch Records, and features Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, and Jordan Ward. The Internet co-founder also tapped Florida duo Blu June for a lead single, “Callin.” Check that out below.
Beard marks Syd’s first new album since 2022’s Broken Hearts Club. In a press statement, she said the album is, in part, inspired by something quite literal: the peach fuzz on her upper lip. “I fell in love with my peach fuzz and it made me rethink everything that was supposed to make me feel insecure,” she said. “The title also represents the way I see myself in relation to my peers, especially in music. ‘The bearded lady.’ Not so much a spectacle in my case, but an anomaly and an outlier. Hard to compare.”
In support of the record, Syd has also announced a brief fall tour through the UK and Europe, which kicks off with a show at London festival All Points East. Browse a full itinerary below.

#HipHopNews: Latto Drops ‘Big Mama,’ Walks Back Retirement Album Comments
Latto has officially released Big Mama, dropping the project just weeks after giving birth to her first child.
The Georgia Peach rapper continues to prove that motherhood hasn’t slowed her down one bit. While navigating life as a new mom, Latto was open with fans about experiencing postpartum depression, even tweeting at one point that Big Mama would be her “retirement album.”
However, shortly after the album’s release, she clarified those comments during an interview with Apple Music, admitting she underestimated the effect of postpartum depression and assuring fans that Big Mama will not be her final project.
The album is led by her single “GOMF” featuring GloRilla, further proving that whenever the duo links up, they know how to make a hit. The record flips “Yahhh!,” one of Soulja Boy’s tracks.
During Birthday Bash ATL, Soulja Boy told Hip-Hop Wired he immediately became a fan of Latto’s take on the record.
“It was crazy, I heard it, these songs that I did when I was in high school, people are still sampling, people still remixing them. Doing their own versions to them, I stamp it, she [Latto] doing her thing right now, she poppin’ it. Salute to Latto, shout out Latto.”

#NBAFINALS: IT'S SET! The New York Knickerbockers to play The San Antonio Spurs in NBA Finals

The New York Knicks have their mark for the NBA Finals.
After winning Game 7 at the Paycom Center, the San Antonio Spurs have completed their comeback and will face off against the Knicks in the NBA Finals.
For the Spurs, it’s their first visit to the NBA Finals since 2014 after they beat LeBron James and the Miami Heat in five games. That was San Antonio’s sixth Finals visit in a 15-year span, which began back in 1999 when they faced off against the Knicks, whom they beat in five games.
For the Knicks, they have not been back to the Finals since that trip back in 1999, but they come into this series extremely well-rested after sweeping both the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers in back-to-back series. Their last game came back on Monday, when they beat the Cavs by 37 points in Game 4 inside Rocket Arena.
The Knicks could come in with a big advantage with not as much mileage as the Spurs in the playoffs. The Spurs are coming off a brutal seven-game Western Conference Finals bloodbath against the Thunder, while the Knicks will have over a week of rest. However, the Knicks will start the series on the road and must win at least one game in San Antonio in order to win the franchise’s first title since 1973.
So, what do you think of the matchup between the Knicks and the Spurs?

Music Mogul Clive Davis Hospitalized in New York City, Battling Upper Respiratory Infection
Clive Davis, the Grammy-winning record producer and music mogul known for working with Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin and more, was hospitalized in New York City on Friday.
The famed A&R executive’s spokesperson confirmed the health incident to TMZ and Rolling Stone Friday night, sharing that Davis had been hospitalized amid a battle with an upper respiratory infection. Per the rep, the 94-year-old Davis was admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
In fact, Davis’ spokesperson told the media that the music mogul was expected to be released within the next 24 to 48 hours.
This is not the first health setback Davis has faced in recent years. Back in 2021, Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Gala, which has taken place the day before the awards show since 1975, was postponed as he battled Bell’s Palsy.
It’s safe to say that Davis is one of the most influential music moguls in the industry. Not only has he won five Grammy awards, but he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.
Throughout his 60-plus years in the business, Davis has held many titles. He was president of Columbia Records between 1967 and 1973. Davis then founded and ran Arista Records from 1974 through 2000. He also founded J Records, serving as the company’s chair and CEO. Between 2002 and 2008, Davis also served as the chair and CEO of the RCA Music Group, before stepping into the role of the chief creative officer of Sony Music Entertainment (a title he still holds to this day).
Davis is responsible for signing a number of A-list performers, including Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Bay City Rollers, Sly and the Family Stone and Ace of Base, among others.

Serena Williams Reportedly Planning Tennis Comeback After 4 Years

Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion who famously bid farewell to professional tennis nearly four years ago, is reportedly preparing for a dramatic return to the court.
According to reports, the 44-year-old icon has requested a wild card entry for the women’s doubles competition at the Queen’s Club tournament in London next month.
While Williams has not officially confirmed her comeback, she is rumored to be eyeing a partnership with 19-year-old Canadian standout Victoria Mboko. The potential pairing of a seasoned legend and a rising teenage star has sent shockwaves through the sports world, suggesting that Williams’ “evolution” away from the sport may have been a temporary hiatus rather than a permanent retirement.
The last time fans saw Williams in professional competition was at the 2022 U.S. Open, where she was celebrated with a multi-day tribute before falling in the third round. At the time, she resisted the word “retirement,” telling Vogue magazine that she was “evolving away from tennis, toward other things that are important to me.” Despite her distance from the tour, speculation about her return has persisted for years.
Former world No. 1 Andy Roddick recently weighed in on the rumors, noting that if Williams were to make a serious push for one last title, the grass courts of London would be the ideal stage. Roddick suggested that her powerful serve and experience on grass would make her a formidable opponent even after years away. “I think her best chance at a major comeback moment could be on grass,” Roddick said regarding her potential prospects at events like Queen’s Club and Wimbledon.
The fast surface traditionally rewards the aggressive baseline play and dominant serving that defined Williams’ career. Neither tournament officials at Queen’s Club nor representatives for Williams have issued a public statement regarding the wild card request.
However, the reports follow a period of intense scrutiny regarding her status in the anti-doping testing pool, a requirement for any athlete returning to professional competition. If the comeback proceeds, it will mark one of the most significant returns in the history of the sport.
Williams remains one Grand Slam title shy of tying Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 singles majors, a milestone that has loomed over her career for nearly a decade.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Announces COGE, Social Media Appreciates The DOGE Trolling
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is taking a page out of Elon Musk’s book, but instead, using his power to help New York City’s citizens.
The socialist mayor announced he is launching a city Commission on Government Efficiency (COGE) to “find ways for our city to work smarter, faster, and more effectively for working people.”
If it sounds familiar, that’s because it’s similar to Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which the Tesla chief launched in 2025 after Trump unfortunately got back into the White House.
But that’s where the similarities stop: COGE actually wants to help people, whereas Musk’s DOGE didn’t do a damn thing to make the government more efficient or cut waste.
According to Yahoo! News, Mamdani’s COGE will feature a group of progressives and Democrats, and, per FOX News reporting, will be led by George Soros-aligned Patrick Gaspard, described as a longtime Democratic operative who once served as executive director of the Democratic National Committee.
Gaspard was also president of the Soros family’s Open Society Foundation.
Speaking about COGE, Mamdani said that “New Yorkers deserve a city government as careful with their money as they are.”
In a statement from New York City, it claims that Mayor Mamdani gave COGE the responsibility of reviewing the “entire New York City Charter” so that it could “better support public excellence by improving efficiency, modernizing city government, and ensuring government keeps pace with New Yorkers’ needs.”
According to the statement, COGE will be expected to remove “outdated bureaucratic barriers that slow infrastructure projects and delay services.” Mamdani further added, “For too long, bureaucracy has stood in the way of delivering the housing, transit, child care, and public services our city needs.” He continued, “restoring faith in government starts with proving government can actually deliver.”
Of course, the MAGA faithful are losing it. Trump Glazer, podcaster Benny Johnson wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
Zohran Mamdani — avowed socialist, property redistributor, DSA member — just launched a ‘government efficiency’ commission. He literally named it COGE. COGE. He copied DOGE. The man who has spent his entire career demonizing Trump just adopted Trump’s signature policy idea to cut waste, fraud and abuse. He won’t say the quiet part out loud. But we will. Trump was right.
Well, we all know neither Trump nor Musk was right; in fact, we are suffering from many of the cuts made by DOGE.

Gayle King Responds To Her Ex-Husband’s Apology For Infidelity

Gayle King has responded to her ex-husband’s apology for infidelity.
After appearing on Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper, King shared the shocking details of her ex, William Bumpus, cheating with her friend.
Following the episode, Bumpus offered an apology in a statement to TMZ.
“My deepest apologies to Gayle, to our daughter Kirby and her husband, Virgil, to our son William and his wife, Elise, and to our three grandchildren, for the pain I caused decades ago,” the Connecticut-based attorney began his mea culpa. “Those actions were mine.”
Eventually, King shared that she was “surprised” by Bumpus’s public apology.
“I did not know he was going to do it,” King told TMZ of the apology. “When I got up this morning and read it, I was very, very surprised. He didn’t say anything to me about it, but I’m very appreciative.”
“I was surprised that you guys found him,” she continued. “Secondly, she was stunned “he was even talking because he never talks. So I was surprised, but I can also say I appreciated what he had to say. That was a very painful time.”
Despite the infidelity, King and Bumpus reconciled and stayed together until 1993. That year, King discovered that he was cheating again.
“Anyone who has been through it knows how painful it is,” King told TMZ. “But I also know that you can go through it and get through it on the other side. This happened so long ago that we have both healed. And we’ve both moved on. The reason I can talk about it so candidly is that so much time has passed. I’m in a really great place and so is he.”
In the interview, King said that Oprah Winfrey was the first person she called after the affair.
“Oprah goes, ‘Let me get this straight. He left you there alone and went with her?’ I know your mouth is open,” King told Cooper. “And she said, ‘Oh girl, you don’t even know how bad this is.’ And I’m going, ‘Yeah, but he said they had a good marriage.’”
“She said, ‘Well, call her husband.’ I go, ‘You think I should call?’ [She said], ‘Yes. Call.’”

Italian Authorities Cancel Travis Scott and Ye Concert Over Public Safety Concerns
Plans for a major back-to-back stadium event featuring Travis Scott and Ye (formerly Kanye West) at Italy’s RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia have been officially canceled by local authorities, ending weeks of speculation around one of the most high-profile European festival bookings of the year.
According to Italian media outlet Reggionline, officials stepped in to block the concerts, citing serious “public order and safety” concerns tied to the scale and structure of the event, which had been organized as part of the rebranded Pulse of Gaia Festival, previously known as the Hellwatt Festival.
The original plan called for consecutive headline performances by both artists, a setup that quickly raised alarms among city planners and safety authorities. One of the central issues was the logistical strain of managing massive crowds on back-to-back nights at the RCF Arena, one of the largest open-air venues in Europe. Officials reportedly questioned whether local infrastructure, transportation systems, and emergency services could safely handle the influx of tens of thousands of attendees over consecutive days.
Beyond crowd control concerns, the decision was also influenced by growing public opposition in the weeks leading up to the scheduled shows. The festival faced sustained criticism from anti-fascist groups, trade unions, local politicians, and members of the Jewish community, many of whom specifically called for Ye’s appearance to be removed due to his controversial political history and statements.
The combination of escalating protests and operational risk assessments ultimately led authorities to shut down the event entirely rather than attempt modifications or partial approvals. The cancellation effectively halts one of the festival’s biggest selling points, the pairing of two globally recognized artists on consecutive nights.
While organizers have not issued a full public restructuring plan, early indications suggest that Travis Scott’s performance may be postponed significantly, with some reports pointing to a potential rescheduling as far out as 2027. In the meantime, ticket holders are being advised to follow official communications from event partners, including Ticketmaster Italy, for updates on refund procedures and any future adjustments to the Pulse of Gaia lineup.
The decision marks a significant setback for organizers and underscores the growing scrutiny large-scale international concerts face when balancing entertainment ambitions with local safety, infrastructure limits, and community opposition.

Jay-Z Debuts New Afro Look At Roots Picnic, Smokes Drake & Damon Dash With Vicious Bars

Jay-Z shows up at Roots Picnic with a brand new look and takes direct aim at Drake’s recent subliminal campaign.
Jay-Z stepped onto the Roots Picnic stage this past weekend with a completely different energy, ditching the dreadlocks that defined his look for decades and rocking a wild, massive afro that had everyone talking.
The first tonight at the legendary Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia on May 30 became the perfect backdrop for what many are reading as a direct response to Drake’s relentless subliminal campaign on his new Iceman album, which dropped just two weeks earlier.
During his set, Hov didn’t hold back with his freestyle, taking aim at his many critics, with bars that many field were directed at Drake, Jaguar Wright, Damon Dash and others.
Another one fumbled his wonder how I get the blame/N##### teeth is tumbling out they mouth and somehow I’m the one who done its a murder mystery gang
That nut ass n#### still stuttering/the Chatty Patty is down on his luck again/Quest introduced me to Jaguar, I don’t know why I still f### with him
Drake’s been working overtime on Iceman, which he released alongside two other projects, and he’s been particularly focused on dismantling Jay-Z’s legacy and influence throughout the album.
On “Janice S###,” Drake raps, “You boys got big on my name, that’s big enough… the jig is up,” directly questioning whether Hov’s relevance is tied to Drake’s own success.
Hov dropped some either at Drake:
My next update, the jig is up, n#### I’m up 10 (billion)/ wrong chart champ, you got to look up again, n##### look up to Hov I never looked up to them/The crackers got your publishing gangta go talk tough to them/Don’t talk success to me you n##### is workers/ in perpetuity is how your contract is worded, don’t make me go further
But the most personal bar comes on “Whisper My Name,” where Drake says, “I take 500K, not a dinner, I never could learn s### from none of y’all,” a direct reference to the famous debate about whether you’d take half a million dollars or have dinner with Jay-Z.
Hov responded to that with some clever word play that worked in his billionaire status, and one of his wife Beyoncé’s best known hits with Destiny’s Child.
I ain’t much for meetings no how, cancel the brunches es. I remember the hunger pains/The price of the brick is going up. it’s going to cost you a b to even say my name
The timing of Jay-Z’s new look and his freestyle at the Roots Picnic feels intentional, especially considering he’s also rebranding himself as JAŸ-Z, taking it back to his 90s aesthetic.
Many are speculating. the new look means new music is also on the way.

#YIKES: Keri Hilson Slammed for Naming R. Kelly Among Favorite Singer-Songwriters: 'What a Loser'
Keri Hilson is in hot water after voicing her love for R. Kelly.
The R&B vocalist, who collaborated with Kelly on the 2009 single “Number One,” named the disgraced artist among her top singer-songwriters on the May 20 episode of podcast On That Note.
Around the 57-minute mark of the video below, Hilson admitted that she was “afraid” to namedrop Kelly, who she enjoyed during her “formative years” before “learning something about him” that she dislikes. The 3-time Grammy winner, 59, is serving a 30-year sentence on multiple convictions of sex trafficking, racketeering and child sex abuse.
“But if I can say Robert Kelly is one of my favorite singer-songwriters,” Hilson said, adding that Kelly was “most inspiring” to her.
Podcast host and Boyz II Men member respected Hilson’s opinion and insisted that his listeners are “capable of separating” Kelly versus his crimes.
After going on to name Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and others among her top five singer-songwriters, Hilson was slammed on social media.
Other millennial artists like recent VERZUZ co-headliners Tyrese and Tank have caught flack for defending Kelly as one of their favorite R&B artists. One person went as far as calling Hilson a “bird” for her opinion.

“Students For Trump” Founder Ryan Fournier Arrested For Domestic Assault
B
The co-founder and chairman of the “Students For Trump” group, Ryan Fournier, was arrested early Tuesday morning (May 26) and now faces criminal charges of committing domestic assault. It marks the second such alleged incident for Fournier in less than two years.
According to reports, the incident between Fournier and a young woman took place at The Apartments at CityCenter, a luxury complex in downtown Washington D.C. The arrest report shows that Fournier was detained for simple assault and attempted threats to do bodily harm.
The report from the Metropolitan Police Department contained a statement from the unnamed woman, who said that she and Fournier were dating for a couple of months and that she was visiting him from out of town. She said Fournier had been drinking, and that she was trying to get him off of the floor.
At that point, she claimed Fournier “started swinging his fists at her and struck her in the face with a closed fist two or three times.” The victim also stated that Fournier had a knife but didn’t use it. A witness on the scene, who said he was Fournier’s roommate, told police that Fournier yelled violent threats at the victim such as “Do you want to die today?”
The victim and the first witness fled to the bathroom as Fournier raged, according to another roommate who left before police had arrived. In records from the D.C. Supreme Court, Fournier pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing. The presiding judge issued a stay-away order for Fournier and a preliminary hearing on July 7.
Fournier founded “Students For Trump” in 2015 along with John Lambert. The group would be responsible for the
rise in support for President Donald Trump during his first presidential campaign, and work with the late Charlie Kirk’s
Turning Point USA in boosting the ranks of young conservatives nationwide.
The self-described podcast host and commentator has had multiple run-ins with the law. In 2023, he was arrested in North Carolina after allegedly striking his then-girlfriend with a pistol. Those charges would be dropped that December. Fournier was also arrested for driving under the influence in 2021 in North Carolina. Those charges would get dismissed, but he also incurred another DWI charge in 2024 which got him 12 months of probation.
