“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” follows Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, as he navigates a world in which he’s been completely forgotten, battles a new adversary and tries to save the ones he loves. The film hits theaters Friday.

#RHONJ: Friend of ‘Real Housewives’ star Milania Giudice dies in fall
A 20-year-old college student who died Monday after a fall on an island off Florida’s Gulf Coast is being remembered by “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast.

Victoria Zardoya was the childhood friend of Milania Giudice, daughter of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice. The two also attended the University of Tampa together, according to Us Weekly.

“There are no words for this kind of pain,” Joe shared in an Instagram post. “Victoria, you were like a daughter to me. I watched you grow up with my daughter Milania. We were neighbors for years, and you became part of our family. I can’t believe you’re gone.”

According to a statement posted to Instagram at the family’s request by friend Victoria Silberbusch, who was present when Zardoya fell, Zardoya had flown from New Jersey to Tampa for the weekend to visit friends when she fell from a structure at the historic Fort Dade ruins on Friday evening.

“We ran to the edge, calling out to her, but quickly realized she had fallen much further than we first believed,” Silberbusch shared.

Zardoya was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition and died two days later, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

#MusicNews: Syd Releases New Solo Album “Beard”
GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and co-founder of the acclaimed collective THE INTERNET, Syd, has officially released her highly anticipated third solo album, Beard. Arriving via Free Lunch/Warner Records, the project is accompanied by the release of a brand-new  music video for the standout track “Any Time,” featuring James Fauntleroy.Music & Audio

Co-produced by Syd herself, Beard serves as a true coming-of-age documentary of the R&B innovator’s evolution as both an artist and an individual. The LP boasts an impressive roster of heavy-hitting collaborators and friends, including Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, Blu June, and Jordan Ward.

The project stands as a testament to Syd’s massive contributions to contemporary R&B while simultaneously pushing the genre’s boundaries forward. The album’s release was preceded by the acclaimed solo singles “Callin” (feat. Blu June) and “2 Many Days.”

The album’s title is as deeply layered as its production. Syd describes the record as a snapshot of her current life and a deeply personal exercise in empowerment and self-acceptance.

“The title was inspired by the peach fuzz on my upper lip that society has always taught me to hate,” Syd explained. “I fell in love with my peach fuzz and it made me rethink everything that was supposed to make me feel insecure. It allowed me to take my confidence into my own hands, and own everything that I am and everything I love about myself, regardless of what anyone else thinks.”

Syd further noted that the title serves as a metaphor for her position within the music industry. “The title also represents the way I see myself in relation to my peers, especially in music. ‘The bearded lady.’ Not so much a spectacle in my case, but an anomaly and an outlier. Hard to compare. I’m owning that too. Taking things that were once insecurities and flipping them on their head has been extremely empowering.”Song Lyrics & Tabs

Alongside the album, Syd unveiled the music video for “Any Time,” a soul-stirring track exploring the natural ebbs and flows of a relationship. The song beautifully melds Syd’s signature soothing vocals with a guest verse from renowned singer, songwriter, and producer James Fauntleroy.

The accompanying visual delivers a heartfelt series of rom-com-inspired vignettes, intimately capturing moments between Syd and her wife, Simone.

Beard arrives during an incredibly fruitful chapter in Syd’s career. Since emerging as a singular voice with Odd Future, she has released multiple critically lauded, GRAMMY-nominated albums with THE INTERNET. Just last year, in 2025, she celebrated the 10th anniversary of the band’s landmark breakthrough album, Ego Death.

Beyond her own releases, Syd has lent her elite pen and vocal production to an expansive catalog of global superstars, recently earning a GRAMMY for co-writing Beyoncé’s hit “Plastic Off the Sofa” from the Renaissance album. Outside the studio, the multi-hyphenate continues to expand her footprint, fronting major campaigns for fashion giants such as Valentino, Louis Vuitton, and Adidas, and building her own recording studio in Los Angeles.

Beard and the official music video for “Any Time” are available to stream now across all major digital platforms.

#HipHopNews: $103k hotel lawsuit identifies Nicki Minaj as ‘Tori Spalding’
Nicki Minaj is making headlines once again, but this time it has nothing to do with music.

According to newly filed court documents, the Queens rap superstar’s alleged hotel alias has surfaced as part of an ongoing legal dispute involving production company 24/7 Productions, which claims it covered more than $106,000 in luxury hotel expenses tied to several of Minaj’s appearances without ever being fully reimbursed.

The lawsuit, first reported by AllHipHop, was filed by 24/7 Productions CEO Michael John Davies Pryer, who alleges his company fronted travel and production costs for Minaj and her team while coordinating multiple events. Among the receipts submitted to the court are invoices for high-end hotel accommodations in both New York and Fort Lauderdale.

One of the more intriguing revelations in the filing is the name reportedly used to book Minaj’s reservations. According to hotel records included with the lawsuit, the Grammy-nominated MC allegedly checked into New York’s Langley Hotel under the alias “Tori Spaulding.”

The documents claim Minaj’s seven-night stay totaled approximately $66,500, with nightly room rates reaching $9,500. Court filings also allege that four additional rooms for members of her entourage, including staff and crew, were billed under the same master account, each reservation reportedly marked “Routed From Spaulding Tori.”

The spending didn’t stop in New York.

According to the complaint, Minaj’s accommodations at the Four Seasons Hotel in Fort Lauderdale added another $25,197.85 to the tab. The filing states the total included her luxury suite, reportedly costing roughly $3,800 per night, along with separate rooms for her stylist and security personnel.

Combined with other travel-related expenses, the production company claims it is owed more than $106,000.

At the heart of the lawsuit isn’t the rapper’s alleged use of an alias, something many celebrities routinely do for privacy and security, but rather whether 24/7 Productions was contractually entitled to reimbursement for the expenses it says it paid on Minaj’s behalf.

As of this writing, Minaj has not publicly responded to the allegations or the court filings, and the claims made in the lawsuit have not been proven in court.

For now, the legal battle offers fans a rare glimpse behind the curtain of celebrity logistics, where private aliases, luxury hotel suites and six-figure travel budgets are often just another day at the office for one of Hip Hop’s biggest superstars.

Kelly Rowland gets candid about her journey to sobriety
The singer says she quit drinking about a year and a half ago and credits sobriety with better sleep, more clarity and a stronger sense of wellness.

Kelly Rowland is offering a candid look at how she's redefining wellness in her 40s, and at the center of that evolution is a decision to give up alcohol altogether.

In a recent conversation shared by Bossip, the 45-year-old reflected on her journey toward sobriety, revealing that she stopped drinking about a year and a half ago. While she was honest about what she gave up, joking that she still misses her white wine, Rowland made clear the tradeoff has been more than worth it. "But I feel good. I feel really good," she said.

The singer pointed to tangible improvements in her day-to-day life, chief among them her sleep. Rowland described no longer waking up groggy or weighed down by the kind of brain fog she'd come to associate with even a single glass or cocktail the night before. "I remember having a glass or having a little cocktail and the next day I was like, why is this thing so hard?" she recalled with a laugh.

Beyond alcohol, Rowland shared that her heightened awareness has extended to how she nourishes herself overall, noting she's become more intentional about paying attention to food and how different choices make her feel, both in the moment and the day after.

Rowland's openness reflects a broader cultural shift, particularly among Black women who are increasingly centering rest, clarity and intentional living as forms of self-care rather than luxuries. Her willingness to speak plainly about sobriety, a topic still often shrouded in silence, adds a meaningful voice to that conversation.

For an artist who has spent nearly her entire life in the public eye, from her rise with Destiny's Child to a decades-long solo and acting career, Rowland's reflections signal a woman firmly rooted in a season of self-prioritization.

Rather than framing her choices around restriction, she presented them as a path toward feeling her best, offering a quiet but powerful example of what wellness can look like on one's own terms.

Karamo Brown Says ‘Life Is Better Now’ That His ’Truth’ Has Been Told: ‘I Feel Good’
For his June PEOPLE cover story, the TV personality, 45, revealed the reason behind his absence during the six-month press tour for Queer Eye‘s tenth and final season.

Brown explained that though the Fab Five — comprised of Antonio Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Jeremiah Brent and himself — “had always come together because of the fans,” he needed to draw boundaries after years of toxicity with several of his costars. The drama within the group, Brown said, was amplified by what he described as bullying and unchecked behavior by executives and members of production.

“I feel good,” he tells PEOPLE at The Hollywood Reporter‘s Social Impact Summit in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 22. “It just feels like life is better now, you know what I mean? And to know that me speaking my truth has allowed me to now find people who recognize themselves in my story and to help them, it’s been amazing.”

“My life has changed in the best way because I found my community, and I’ve actually given [them] a name. They’re called, ‘My Keepers.’ And it’s these people who always keep everything together, keep the peace, keep the friendship alive, the family together, but they don’t keep themselves at the top of their priority list,” he adds.
“We connected because that’s what I was doing for so many years,” Brown says. “And so the fact that now I have this community, I’m supporting them. It all came from my PEOPLE Magazine cover and people saying, ‘My gosh, thank you for speaking your truth.’ ”

Brown explains his newfound community came out of his PEOPLE cover story, as people who read it thanked him for speaking up. “It inspired a new way for me to help people,” he says.
“Mental health and what we’re doing starts with us,” he said. “It starts with you. It’s a self thing. One of the things that saved my life was the day I decided that I was going to give up what I love to get what I deserved.”
When asked what makes him happy these days, Brown shared, “I would say just life, you know? My career’s good. My relationships is good. I’m about to be a grandfather.”
“I’ve done the work, and things are working out very well, and I’m just excited,” he said. “I think that’s the thing. If people know you don’t give up, it’s gonna work.”

Karamo & Son Jason .Houston TX the first day Karamo Met his son Jason. Jason was 9 years old.
In his June cover story, Brown also shared the news that his son Jason is expecting a baby boy due in September.
“I can’t want to be a grandfather,” he says. “Grandma season is over — it’s grandzaddy season!”

Brown explained that he is too young to be called a “grandpa or gramps,” and instead wants his grandson to refer to him as “Dukes.”

“I think Dukes is fun,” he said. “Then as I get older, it will evolve into grandpa. But publicly, just call me grandzaddy. I’m calling all the grandzaddies out there. You young, you sexy, you still fit, you living healthy, you are not a grandpa, you a grandzaddy, okay? That’s what I’m living for.”

Bottled at 44% ABV, SirDavis is made from a mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley.
Financial details regarding Beyoncé’s takeover of the brand have not been disclosed. The Spirits Business has contacted Moët Hennessy for a statement.

The whiskey is crafted by third-party spirits producer MGP Ingredients, and finished, blended and bottled in Texas, where the singer is from.

Takeoff’s Parents Set For September Showdown Over Wrongful Death Settlement Money
Kenneth Ball is claiming half of Takeoff’s wrongful death settlement, but a Georgia probate court will decide in September.

A Georgia probate court has agreed to take over the split dispute and scheduled a hearing for September 21, 2026.
Court documents obtained by AllHipHop lay out why Davenport pushed for Georgia to handle this. She and Kenneth Ball, Takeoff’s father, are both Georgia residents, and nearly every witness tied to the allocation question lives there too.

The bowling alley and its co-owners have already paid the settlement and walked away, so this fight is now strictly between Takeoff’s parents.
His attorney told AllHipHop that Ball suffered substantial losses including funeral costs, psychological expenses, and loss of counsel and support. He’s pushing for an equal split of the settlement proceeds despite admitting he was largely absent from Takeoff’s life.

Davenport has made her counter-argument plain in court filings: Ball provided “negligible financial support and effectively no emotional support” throughout Takeoff’s life.

She raised him as a single mother, and once the Migos money came in, he covered her housing, vehicles, and daily expenses. Ball, she argues, never had that kind of relationship with his son and shouldn’t collect half the settlement now.

The settlement with the bowling alley was reached at the end of 2025 for a confidential amount, according to Billboard. Davenport sued in June 2023, arguing that the venue knew celebrities would be there and failed to put in place meaningful security measures.
Takeoff was shot and killed on November 1, 2022, at 810 Billiards & Bowling in downtown Houston during a private dice game that turned violent.

He was 28 and left no will, and his estate was estimated at $26 million.
Patrick Xavier Clark faces a murder charge in the killing and claims self-defense, with his criminal trial set to begin November 5, 2026.

Ball objected to the Georgia move, telling the Texas court that Davenport filed over there “surreptitiously” without giving him notice.
Davenport’s team pushed back, pointing out Ball’s own Georgia probate lawyers have been active in the case for three years and were electronically served the day she filed. The Texas court keeps overall jurisdiction but hands the split question to Georgia, where the probate court applies Texas damages law.

The Fulton County Probate Court in Atlanta has been handling Takeoff’s estate since shortly after his death in 2022.

Ariana Grande Sues Hackers Over Stolen Music, Videos, and Private Photos
Ariana Grande has filed a John Doe civil lawsuit in California accusing unknown hackers of stealing unreleased music, videos, and private photos by breaking into her collaborators' accounts.
The suit uses civil discovery to force platforms to reveal who's behind the alleged breaches and comes just after multiple major artists had their YouTube and other platform accounts compromised.
Grande has publicly battled leaks before, warning leakers earlier this year: "I'll see you in jail, literally," after her song "Fantasize" was leaked in 2023.

Ariana Grande has filed a civil lawsuit against a number of unnamed individuals who allegedly stole unreleased music, videos, and private photos from her collaborators.
According to TMZ, the suit, filed in California on (July 27), targets several unnamed John and Jane Does. The defendants allegedly compromised accounts belonging to photographers and producers Grande had worked with, then stole material that was never intended for release.

Because the identities of the alleged hackers are unknown, Grande's legal team structured the case as a John Doe action, a filing that allows her to use the civil discovery process to compel platforms and services to hand over identifying information tied to the breaches.

The lawsuit arrives days after multiple high-profile artists reportedly had their YouTube channels and other platform accounts compromised.
This is not Grande's first run-in with leakers. In February 2024, she appeared on the Zach Sang Show and addressed the unauthorized spread of her material on TikTok.

Gina Prince-Bythewood revealed the journey to set was sometimes “treacherous”
Filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood talked about the film, which is an adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi‘s novel of the same name, during the event. She revealed the journey to some of the sets was “treacherous.”
“I gave a heads up that there were some sets that were a three, four hour drive and then a half-hour walk along treacherous things,” she shared, via People.

Filming took place in South Africa and the Canary Islands during 2025. Gina said she didn’t want the actors to be “surrounded by green screens.”
“I wanted to give the actors this 360 degree world to play in,” she added.

“The conversations that we had were just really beautiful because we’re creating a fantasy world,” the director continued. “How do we make magic feel cultural?”
Children of Blood and Bone will hit theaters, Dolby Cinema, IMAX, and premium large formats on January 15, 2027.

Usher CLAPS Back After Gabrielle Cheyenne’s Awkward Onstage Moment: “Don’t Bring Your A** Up Here If You Don’t Want To Be Here”
During a later stop on The R&B Tour, Usher addressed the crowd before beginning another portion of his show involving audience participation. Without mentioning Cheyenne by name, his message sounded especially pointed considering everything that had unfolded after their Nashville interaction.
“Before we get started, don’t bring your a** up here if you don’t want to be here. God don’t like ugly, but he most certainly don’t feel too good about free privilege.”

Usher did not explicitly identify Gabrielle Cheyenne in the remark, so it cannot be confirmed that he was directly addressing her. Still, the timing and references immediately connected the comment to a viral situation that had followed him from Nashville into the next stretch of the tour.

The original moment happened during the July 25 Nashville stop of The R&B Tour with Chris Brown at Nissan Stadium. Cheyenne was selected to join Usher during a sensual portion of his performance. Video showed her sitting on a bed incorporated into the stage production as Usher performed close to her. Her reserved body language quickly became noticeable.

Usher eventually stopped the interaction.

“I don’t think she want to be on the stage,” he told the crowd before signaling for the moment to end. That brief exchange became viral almost immediately, but Cheyenne later argued that viewers were judging the final seconds without knowing how she ended up onstage.

In a Facebook post that circulated after the show, Cheyenne said she and her mother initially had floor seats before members of the tour team approached them and moved them into VIP.
“My mom and I had FLOOR SEATS. Their team approached us and moved us to VIP before the show even started !! PRETTY PRIVILEGES something you hoes will never know about !!”

She also rejected the idea that she should have declined an opportunity to appear in front of thousands of people simply because she did not react to Usher the way some fans expected.

“First off NOBODY is declining to go on stage. I looked good asf, you thought I wasn’t gonna let THOUSANDS of people see me ?? On the big screen , where you b***hes will never be ????”
Cheyenne further explained that she was not told which performer she might be joining when she was selected. Usher and Chris Brown are both headlining The R&B Tour, making that detail central to her explanation of what happened.

“They don’t say who you’re going up there for !!” Cheyenne wrote.
She also had words for people who believed accepting the invitation meant she should have been willing to participate in whatever happened once she reached the stage.

“Y’all wanted me to get up there and f**k him atp ?? CHATT FOLKS AREN’T USED TO ANYTHING. That’s the most exciting thing that would’ve happened in y’all little a** lives !! F**k yall , DISRESPECTFULLY 😘

The “pretty privileges” line became nearly as viral as the original concert footage. Cheyenne’s posts fueled another round of conversation as some people defended her right to set boundaries while others criticized both her response onstage and the tone of her comments afterward.

Cheyenne later explained that Chris Brown was the artist she primarily attended the concert to see. She said she was more of a Brown fan than an Usher fan and acknowledged that her reaction would have been different had Brown been the person interacting with her onstage.

That admission added another twist to a situation social media had initially framed as Cheyenne simply rejecting Usher.

Her position was that she accepted the opportunity to possibly go onstage without knowing which artist would be involved. Once it turned out to be Usher, she did not respond with the enthusiasm people expected. Usher noticed and ended the interaction. Everything that followed grew from those few seconds.

Now, his latest onstage comments have people wondering whether he decided to send a message of his own.

The strongest connection is his warning about not coming onstage without wanting to be there, since that directly mirrors the debate that followed Cheyenne’s appearance. His reference to “free privilege” also caught attention after Cheyenne publicly credited “PRETTY PRIVILEGES” while explaining how she landed in VIP.

Still, Usher did not say her name or explicitly state that the remarks were aimed at her, making it more accurate to view the moment as a seeming response rather than a confirmed direct shot.

The controversy has become an unexpected subplot of a tour that was supposed to be focused on two R&B heavyweights sharing stadium stages. Live Nation announced the joint tour as a major North American run featuring both Usher and Brown, with the Nashville date among dozens of scheduled performances.
Instead, one fan interaction has now stretched across multiple tour stops.

Cheyenne said “pretty privileges” helped put her in VIP. Usher seemingly answered with a warning for whoever comes onstage next. Whether his latest comment was truly directed at her or simply a new rule for future participants, the message was loud enough for everyone following the drama to hear it.

#RHOA: Season 17 Episode 16 Recap: Was Angela Vindicated?
We are barreling toward the end of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17, but there are so many loose ends it’s hard to imagine how they’re going to tie them all up in one finale.

When we last left off, the ladies were wrapping up their Scotland trip, where everyone felt repulsed by Shamea and Porsha’s below-the-belt accusations about each other’s mothers.

In The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 16, “Halloween Hot Pocket,” the peaches returned to Atlanta, and Shamea was ready to put Scotland firmly behind her. The rest of the cast? Not so much.
The ladies came home from their painfully toxic Scotland trip, and Shamea decided the best way to move forward was to throw a Halloween party. Of course, some people still had hard feelings about how gross things got during the trip, but still, Shamea made a point to invite everyone. That included the green-bearded lawyer that Angela accused her of sleeping with. Messy? Absolutely, and in the end, Angela felt like she was vindicated in this mess. But does anyone else feel that way?

Back in Atlanta, Shamea made a conscious decision to stop going tit for tat with Porsha and focus her energy elsewhere. She’s got the peach-flavored rum line that she’s working on, but we learned in this episode that venture isn’t going exactly as planned. At this point, just pray for Shamea. She is genuinely having a struggle of a season.
To celebrate the still-to-be-launched rum, Shamea decided to throw a Halloween party. And in the spirit of moving on and being a good coworker, she decided to invite Porsha. Yes, the same Porsha she’s been crying about all season.

Shamea sent Porsha a text, but Porsha wasn’t interested in attending. It was a hard no.
“Girl I’m not coming to your damn party. You are sick asf. Please move along enjoy,” Porsha texted Shamea.
Meanwhile, Angela was also not in a forgiving mood. He met up with K. Michelle and insisted that Shamea had brought every bit of this drama on herself and was now trying to reframe herself as the victim. K. Michelle wasn’t fully buying it. She could see Shamea’s hurt underneath all of the mess and didn’t want her to feel like the entire cast had turned against her. She decided to meet with Shamea one-on-one to get to the bottom of things.

K. Michelle sat down with Shamea for a candid conversation about Scotland, and specifically, about why things got so ugly so fast. Why did the moms have to get involved?
Shamea was consistent with her reasoning. She told K. Michelle the same thing she’s told everyone else — she thinks Porsha started it in Season 16 when she brought up their moms and the daycare situation. In Shamea’s head, she’s just filling in the blanks that Porsha conveniently left out.

Either way, K wants the ladies to put down their weapons. She said she doesn’t want this failed friendship to define Shamea, but at this point, it already has.
Shamea compared her split from Porsha to a divorce, and she’s in therapy to try to work through the complicated dynamics that come with filming RHOA. It’s all weighing on her, and K seemed receptive to that. At least, that’s how it seems in this episode.

Somehow between then and now, things have dramatically changed. They’ve unfollowed each other on social media, so that’s one more person who isn’t rooting for Shamea
Remember when Angela accused Shamea of sleeping with George, the married green-bearded lawyer? And then George’s wife Ashley came forward and said Angela had been fishing for dirt on Shamea? It was a messy storyline from Scotland that almost got overshadowed by the Porsha of it all, but the storyline all came together in spectacular fashion this week.

It all went down at Shamea’s Halloween party, which also doubled as a soft launch of her potential rum line, Rum Bum. The whole cast was invited, and there is truly nothing better than a Housewives Halloween party. It doesn’t matter if it’s Atlanta, New York, or Dallas. There’s something especially unhinged about watching these wealthy-ish women fight in elaborate costumes.

This year’s lineup gave us Phaedra as the Godfather, Drew as Beyoncé, Shamea as a Na’vi from Avatar, and Pinky looking like a rejected extra from The Walking Dead. Fierce all around. But Shamea wasn’t just there to hand out rum shots and candy. Every treat needs a trick, so she also invited Ashley and George to the party.
With Angela en route in her Party City cop costume, the recipe for disaster was complete. This party was ready to go off the rails.

Angela’s cards got exposed. Angela had been online in the days leading up to this episode, swearing that it would fully vindicate her. Bless her heart, but that is not what happened here.
With everyone gathered in Shamea’s backyard, Ashley claimed that Angela called her up asking for tea on Shamea. Angela denied it, and her response was a masterclass in semantics.

“You are saying that I asked for tea on Shamea, but I asked, ‘Do you know Shamea?'” she claimed.
Sure, Angela. Things got even more convoluted when they started talking about the sexual claims. Angela previously insinuated that something happened between Shamea and George, which Ashley vehemently denied.
Still, Angela tried to tell Ashley that George’s reputation preceded her, and that she had some sort of insider knowledge about him hooking up with Shamea. Now, can you imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and someone was saying this to her about Charles?

Fortunately, George popped up to give his side of the story. He arrived in a full Riddler costume, which felt appropriate, because at this point in this conversation, Angela was speaking in riddles.
George acknowledged that he may have drunkenly said something about “paying Shamea” at an event, but clarified it was a joke and absolutely not a sexual suggestion. His wife proudly declared that George had never been anywhere near Shamea’s “hot pocket.” Case closed, allegedly.

If George is telling the truth, it’s a pretty significant leap from what Angela originally implied. Regardless, Drew swooped in to declare Angela vindicated, and judging by what we’ve seen on social media, Angela seems to still feel the same way. But vindicated how, exactly? We’re still not entirely sure.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 finale airs next Sunday at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.

“This album is inspired by the life and love experiences I have personally encountered or witnessed over the past few years,” Robinson shared regarding the project. “Including childbirth, falling out of love and back in again, to work stoppages, natural disaster, the internet effect, a world pandemic and my evolution and growth as a man. #HipHopNews: 21 Savage Suffers Tragic Family Loss After Death Of Nephew
21 Savage and his family are mourning the tragic loss of hiss 14-year-old nephew, Seven Shirley.
The 14-year-old was reportedly pronounced dead after an apparent suicide. According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after Seven accidentally shot his sister, who survived her injuries following multiple surgeries to her neck and vocal cords.

The heartbreaking tragedy has left loved ones searching for answers while highlighting the devastating consequences that can arise from young people access to firearms.
Prior to the incident, Seven allegedly purchased the firearm from someone on the street for $200. Family members say he bought it for protection after one of his friends had been shot the week before.

Following the accidental shooting, Seven took his own life, leaving his family in total shock.
His grandmother is now calling for accountability from the person who allegedly sold him the gun, believing the tragedy could have been prevented.

“Something needs to be done about that person who sold that gun because if he would have never bought that gun, this would have never happened.”
She also spoke about the emotional weight Seven may have been carrying in the moments after accidentally injuring his sister.

“Just that fast that boy had made the decision to kill himself. He probably sat up there and thought, ‘I’m finna go to jail, they’re going to ridicule me, everybody is going to be doing this and that and this, and this and that,’ and he couldn’t take it.”

This story is developing.

Black Hollywood royalty is assembling! Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox join Tasha Smith’s ‘Women Like Us’

Netflix confirmed that Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox will star in the comedy Women Like Us, directed by Tasha Smith.
The story centers on a recently widowed woman whose anniversary weekend in the Hamptons prompts reflection on grief, marriage, and long-term friendships.
Michelle and Barack Obama's Higher Ground is executive producing as the film prepares to begin production in New York City this fall.

Hollywood’s Black trailblazers and leading ladies are coming together for Tasha Smith’s Women Like Us. On Monday (July 27), Netflix announced that Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox will all star in the upcoming comedy, which is slated to begin production in New York City during the fall.

Smith — whom we recently saw in the first teaser for another Netflix project we can’t wait to watch, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again? — will direct the film from an original script by Ali Kinney, with Tracy Oliver providing additional writing. Meanwhile, Michelle Obama will executive produce via Higher Ground, the production and media company she co-founded with Barack Obama, while Poppy Hanks will do the same for MARCO Film Studios.

According to the synopsis, “When a recently widowed woman is dragged to the Hamptons by her lifelong best friends and sister on what should have been her 30th anniversary, the weekend becomes a reckoning, with grief, with marriage, with the sisterhood that’s carried them throughout the years, and with the realization that dreams don’t have an expiration date.”

What Netflix and the Obamas' Higher Ground are working on alongside ‘Women Like Us’
Women Like Us builds on the already stellar list of collaborations Netflix and Higher Ground, Michelle and Barack Obama’s media company, have in the works. Last year, the streaming giant ordered a television adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s “All the Sinners Bleed,” with production later beginning that November in Atlanta.

"I’m incredibly excited as we stand on the precipice of starting this amazing journey,” Cosby said around that time. “I’m also incredibly honored that Netflix, Higher Ground, and Amblin believe in my work and have given me the greatest opportunity a writer can have — to see your world made real.”

Higher Ground also has a hand in the upcoming Graham Moore-written “The Altruists,” plus a mother-daughter comedy starring Julianne Moore that was announced in May.

It goes without saying, but Smith is having yet another incredible year. Outside of the aforementioned Women Like Us and Why Did I Get Married Again?, she also took the director’s chair for ’Tis So Sweet, which is expected to premiere on Netflix before the end of 2026. Taraji P. Henson and Joey Bada$$ will portray Lenore Lindsey and Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, respectively, in the faith-based drama.

We’ll obviously be on the edge of our seats as more details about Women Like Us come out, but for now, the cast and creative team attached to it are already exciting enough on their own.

Savannah Guthrie Makes Emotional New Plea For Missing Mother Nancy
Savannah Guthrie is once again pleading for the safe return of her mother, Nancy Guthrie.
Nearly six months after the 84-year-old disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home in what authorities believe was a kidnapping, the Today co-anchor shared an emotional video message directed at anyone involved in her mother’s disappearance. Looking directly into the camera, Guthrie urged them to “do the right thing” and reveal where Nancy can be found.

In the video, Savannah acknowledged the unimaginable pain her family has endured while appealing to the suspected kidnappers’ conscience.
“Tell us where to look for her. Do the right thing. It’s never too late to do the right thing.”
She added that her family continues to hold onto hope despite the months-long search.

Nancy Guthrie vanished on Feb. 1 after allegedly being abducted from her home. The FBI and local authorities continue investigating the case, and more than $1.1 million in reward money has been offered for information leading to her recovery. No arrests have been announced.

D4vd murder case: Singer to stand trial on charges over 14-year-old girl's death

He was charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Final texts from victim to singer D4vd shown in court Prosecutors detailed the alleged last night of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez's life, showing her phone went silent after arriving at singer D4vd's home

A judge ruled that the murder case against the singer D4vd will head to trial, following at-times graphic testimony from investigators during a dayslong preliminary hearing in Los Angeles.
D4vd -- whose legal name is David Burke -- was arrested and charged in April with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez following a monthslong investigation. He has pleaded not guilty to charges that include first-degree murder, sexual abuse of a child and unlawful mutilation of human remains.

He continues to face those three charges, with a post-preliminary arraignment scheduled for Aug. 31. A trial is expected to take place within 90 days of that date. He remains held without bail.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who had expressed confidence that his office would meet the evidentiary burden of probable cause on the three felony charges, said prosecutors presented a "small fraction of our evidence" during the preliminary hearing.

"We believe that the evidence at trial will be overwhelming to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt on the three charges with which Mr. Burke will be charged," Hochman told reporters outside the Los Angeles courthouse on Monday following the judge's decision.
"You got a small preview of some of that evidence, including the text messages and the video and photographic evidence that was also presented directly to the judge. This was difficult evidence to even hear, but also the crime that we are dealing with is incredibly horrific and barbaric," Hochman added.

He said his office has not yet decided whether they will seek the death penalty.
Prosecutors allege that D4vd and Rivas Hernandez began a sexual relationship in 2023, when he was 18 and she was 13, and that she was threatening to expose their illegal relationship and ruin his career if he would not be exclusive to her.

Just as tickets for his world tour were set to go on sale, it is alleged that the "Romantic Homicide" singer ordered an Uber that brought Rivas Hernandez to his Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025, prosecutors said. That was the last time she was seen alive, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors allege that D4vd stabbed the teen multiple times, watching her bleed out, and then undertook a series of events to dismember her body and get rid of evidence. Her badly decomposed remains were found in two body bags in the front trunk of D4vd's impounded Tesla in September 2025, according to prosecutors. Her passport was found on the side of a rural road in Santa Barbara County in January, authorities said.

Over the course of five days, prosecutors called a dozen witnesses as they set out to establish probable cause that D4vd committed the criminal offenses to move forward with a trial.
The hearing saw graphic testimony from police personnel as they described the scene after responding to the Hollywood tow yard where Rivas Hernandez's decomposing, dismembered body was found in D4vd's impounded vehicle. Throughout the Tesla, which had a strong odor emanating from it, were at least 11 air fresheners, a Los Angeles Police Department criminologist testified.

After seeing news coverage of the unidentified body in D4vd's vehicle, the teen's father called the LAPD concerned that it was his daughter who was in the trunk, an LAPD detective said. Dental records were provided, and the medical examiner identified the remains on Sept. 16, 2025. The following day, a search warrant was served at D4vd's residence, according to the detective

The detective said multiple items -- including chainsaws, a mop system, cadaver bags and a blue inflatable pool -- were ordered to D4vd's home under the alias "Travion Davis" days after Rivas Hernandez was last seen alive. Two of the chainsaws were found in D4vd's garage and tested negative for blood, while a third was not found, the detective said.

A rubber mat on the floor of the garage had multiple cuts and red marks that tested positive for blood, according to a criminalist with the LAPD's forensic science division who worked on the scene. The DNA profile of the blood matched that of Rivas Hernandez, according to a DNA analyst for the city.
The inflatable pool was found in the garage damaged, with cuts from a blade and pieces missing, according to the criminalist. Blue plastic fragments that were found embedded in Rivas Hernandez's right knee were determined to be a physical fit with the pool, a criminalist assigned to the LAPD's trace analysis unit testified.

D4vd's phone and Tesla traveled to and from Santa Barbara County, to the desolate road where evidence in the case was found, three times -- first on the night of April 23, 2025, when prosecutors say Rivas Hernandez was last seen alive, and then two separate times in May, an LAPD detective who specializes in cellphone records testified.

Following D4vd's arrest in April, the detective said he observed a "Shhh..." tattoo on the singer's right index finger and a "Celeste" tattoo on his left ring finger. Rivas Hernandez also had a "Shhh..." tattoo on her right index finger and a tattoo of D4vd's name on her left ring finger, which was missing from her remains, prosecutors said. The Los Angeles County deputy medical examiner testified that the ring and pinky fingers on her left hand had been amputated.

Her body was discovered a day after her 15th birthday, though the teen had been dead for "at least weeks," possibly since April 2025, the deputy medical examiner testified. The dismemberment was "potentially" consistent with the use of a power tool such as a chainsaw, he said.
Witnesses during the preliminary hearing also included D4vd's financial manager and a finance employee at Interscope Records, his former record label, who testified about how much the singer was making from his career. His financial manager said Burke generated about $11 million between 2023 and 2025 through merchandise and music publishing advances that came in and he was set to make much more.

An LAPD detective also testified on text messages he said showed a sexual relationship between a then-18-year-old D4vd and then-13-year-old Rivas Hernandez and described a series of explicit photographs recovered from D4vd's iCloud account and cellphone. A photo shown in court showed Rivas Hernandez with a "David" tattoo on her left ring finger.

The court also saw her last text messages, sent as the teen was in an Uber headed toward D4vd's home on April 23, 2025, according to the detective. Rivas Hernandez texted that she was "almost there open ur door if u are home," according to the messages shown in court.

"got uuu," D4vd reportedly responded.
Rivas Hernandez did not send any messages after that night, according to the detective. D4vd continued to text her, asking where she was, in what prosecutors alleged was part of a plot to cover up her murder. His last message to her was sent on April 26, 2025, according to the detective.

D4vd has been held on no bail since his arrest. His attorneys have said they plan to "vigorously defend" his innocence.
"The actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death," his attorneys -- Berk, as well as Marilyn Bednarski and Regina Peter -- said in a statement following D4vd's arrest.

Following Monday's ruling, an attorney for Rivas Hernandez's family said they are "relieved" that the case will move forward to a trial. Their attorney, Patrick Steinfeld, also said the family also appreciates the "hard work" by the district attorney's office and the LAPD.

The Great Purple Way: Prince Musical ‘Purple Rain’ Headed to Broadway
The stage musical adaptation of Prince‘s Purple Rain is set to debut on Broadway in 2027, Variety reports.
Following an initial run in Minneapolis last fall, the show — based on Prince’s classic 1984 album and accompanying film — will begin previews at the Majestic Theatre in New York City on March 12, 2027, with opening night slated for April 12. A cast hasn’t been announced yet, but Tony nominee Saheem Ali will direct; playwright/screenwriter Peter Duchan penned the book; and Ebony Williams will handle choreography.

The show’s all-important music team will be led by composer and musical director Jason Michael Webb, who recently worked on the Michael Jackson musical MJ. Two of Prince’s longtime collaborators are also serving as music advisers: Keyboardist Morris Hayes and drummer Bobby Z.

“Prince was an icon and Purple Rain is iconic; one of the best musical films of my generation,” Ali said in a statement. “I watched it as a teenager in Kenya, and though I was appropriately scandalized, it never left me, especially the music. Our aim is not only to honor the legacy that Prince built, but to make his timeless music feel urgent and alive, passing it on to the next generation of fans who will make it their own.”

The Purple Rain musical effectively boasts the same plot as Prince’s semi-autobiographical film. In the movie, Prince starred as “The Kid,” an up-and-coming musician in Minneapolis, who grapples with a troubled past while seeking out stardom. While the show, of course, features music from Purple Rain, its soundtrack reportedly includes renditions of over 20 Prince tracks.

Speaking with Rolling Stone in 2024 as production on the musical got underway, Bobby Z (a.k.a. Bobby Rivkin) spoke about why a Purple Rain stage musical made sense, and recalled how inspired Prince was by shows like Rent and Hamilton. He even remembered Prince suggesting they take one of the other projects to the stage.
“He didn’t think he could personally do it, because it’s a different animal,” Rivkin said. “But he lit up on that. Which gives me a feeling that [Purple Rain] going forward is in the spirit of something creatively in his orbit.”

Kayla Nicole Turns Swiftie Backlash Into ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 36 Shot

Kayla Nicole is reportedly in “serious consideration” for Season 36 of Dancing with the Stars, a move sources call the next natural step in her media and reality TV career.
The opportunity follows a wave of online ridicule after she publicly campaigned to join the show in 2025, even as she’s built credibility by winning Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and leaning into more unscripted projects.
The renewed interest in Nicole, who has also joked about leading The Bachelorette, comes weeks after her ex Travis Kelce married Taylor Swift.

Kayla Nicole's ballroom dream may be closer than ever to becoming reality. Just months after being ridiculed online by Taylor Swift fans for saying she wanted to compete on Dancing with the Stars, a new report claims the media personality is now in "serious consideration" for a future season of the long-running ABC competition.

According to Page Six, the model and podcaster is eager to join Dancing with the Stars, with a source calling it "the next natural step in her career." The report says Nicole had an opportunity to connect with longtime pro Witney Carson while attending the inaugural TIME100 Sports Gala in New York City on July 16. Although Season 35's lineup is already locked ahead of its September premiere, the outlet reports Nicole is being eyed for Season 36.

The update marks a dramatic turnaround from the reaction Nicole received after openly campaigning for the show last year. During an appearance on Harry Jowsey's Boyfriend Material podcast, she didn't hesitate when asked what series she'd most like to join.

"Dancing With the Stars," Nicole replied. "You see how quick I answered that? I've been thinking about it."
The clip quickly took off online, but the response was anything but supportive. Critics piled into the comments, with one writing, "ABC would never," while another called the idea "pathetic." Others joked they'd vote her off during the first week.

Still, Nicole has continued leaning into reality television. She won Season 3 of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test alongside Brody Jenner, and previously said the experience gave audiences a chance to see beyond the headlines that have followed her in recent years.

"I'm the opposite of being afraid of what people are going to see," Nicole said after filming the series. "I'm actually excited for people to see us stripped down, raw, vulnerable."
She's also made it clear that Dancing with the Stars isn't the only ABC franchise on her radar. Earlier this year, after the network scrapped a planned season of The Bachelorette starring Taylor Frankie Paul, Nicole jokingly submitted her own audition on TikTok. "Hey @ABC, heard you need a stand-in? 🌹😂," she captioned the video.

The latest report comes just weeks after Nicole's former boyfriend, Travis Kelce, married Taylor Swift in a lavish ceremony at New York City's Madison Square Garden over the Fourth of July weekend. Kelce and Nicole dated on and off for five years before ending their relationship in 2022.

Since then, Nicole has occasionally reflected on the breakup, calling the public attention surrounding it "overwhelming" while appearing on Special Forces. During a TikTok Live earlier this year, she also described Kelce as the "right person, wrong time."

Gary Owen Reunites with Ex-wife Kenya Duke for First Time in Six Years
*A family celebration led to an unexpected reunion for comedian Gary Owen and his ex-wife, Kenya Duke, who spent time together for the first time in six years.
The gathering was organized by their son, Austin, who documented the moment on Instagram with photos of himself with his parents. “Got my parents back together for the first time in 6 years. God is good,” he wrote.

Owen acknowledged the reunion in the comments, writing, “It was nice hanging out and catching up.”

The comedian later shared additional photos from the gathering on his Instagram account, reflecting on the family’s history despite the challenges that followed the end of his marriage.
“Got to spend some quality time with @aust1n0wen & @trulykenya yesterday. Even with all the craziness the past 5 plus years we did have a lot of good times together. Figured we might as well do a picture of now and a picture from 5 years ago 😂😂😂😂,” Owen wrote.

One of Owen’s photos showed the former spouses smiling alongside Austin. Another captured a more lighthearted moment, with Owen and Duke pretending to lunge at one another while their son stood between them.

Owen and Duke married in 2003 and spent nearly 18 years together before Duke filed for divorce in 2021. They share two children, Austin and daughter Kennedy.
The reunion comes during a new chapter in Owen’s personal life. The comedian married Brianna Johnson on March 7, and the couple is raising twin sons, Royal and Rome, who were born in July 2023.

Nolan Wells: New 911 Audio Allegedly Reveals Suspicious Conversation Among ‘The Friends’—‘Is He Really Dead? Oh My God!’

The Nolan Wells case has been frustrating, heartbreaking, and confounding from day 1 and the latest update can only be described as the gut punch that might just crack the mystery wide open.
Newly enhanced emergency call audio is adding yet another layer of mystery to the death of Nolan Wells, and the internet is once again asking whether the official timeline tells the whole story. As BOSSIP previously reported, the results of the autopsy are being held away from the public until a grand jury can review them. Could this audio be part of the reason why?

According to TMZ, enhanced audio from the frantic distress call made after Nolan’s friends’ boat began taking on water reveals several voices in the background that were previously difficult to make out. The cleaner recording has social media sleuths dissecting every second, with many claiming they hear shouting, confusion, and even what some believe is Nolan’s name being mentioned. None of those interpretations have been officially confirmed, but the enhanced recording is fueling even more speculation in a case already filled with unanswered questions.

Now, here is an allegedly cleaned-up version of the alleged audio that is much easier to hear:
#NolanWells Here is an alleged clear audio that removes the dispatcher so you can hear allegedly what’s being said in the background. This audio was done by alleged audio engineer Jeanetta Brantley. Please share this post.

The emergency call came after the group left Horn Island, where Nolan was last seen alive on July 4. The boat reportedly suffered mechanical issues and began taking on water, prompting an urgent request for assistance before eventually making it safely back to shore. Authorities have maintained that Nolan was not on the vessel when the distress call was made, but the newly enhanced audio has only intensified public scrutiny of that timeline.

The release comes as Nolan’s family continues pushing for answers following an independent autopsy that BOSSIP previously reported on, which challenged key aspects of the official investigation. Their legal team has repeatedly questioned witness statements, inconsistencies in the timeline, and whether investigators thoroughly examined all available evidence.

With every new recording, video, and witness account, the questions surrounding Nolan’s final hours seem to multiply infinitely. The enhanced audio alone doesn’t establish what happened; however, it’s the latest piece of evidence keeping this case squarely in the spotlight while also keeping pressure on investigators to fully account for every moment leading up to Nolan Wells’ death.

1.6 Million Dozen Eggs Recalled After Possible Salmonella Contamination
More than 1.5 million dozen eggs have been recalled across multiple states after testing identified potential Salmonella Enteritidis contamination, prompting federal health officials to warn consumers not to eat affected products.

Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. voluntarily recalled 1,589,577 dozen white shell eggs and brown cage-free eggs produced at its Texas facilities. The recall affects eggs distributed between June 6 and July 3 with sell-by or best-by dates ranging from July 20 through Aug. 17.

The recalled eggs reached grocery stores, foodservice customers and smaller retailers in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico. Affected products were sold under several familiar brands, including Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire’s, Country Morning and Sunups.

The recall comes after company testing detected the bacteria at two Texas farms. Midwest Poultry Services halted distribution from the affected facilities and redirected eggs to a pasteurization plant designed to eliminate harmful pathogens

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating a multistate outbreak involving Salmonella Enteritidis. According to federal officials, the recalled eggs are considered a likely source for at least some reported illnesses. As of Friday, investigators had identified 98 illnesses across 17 states, including 26 hospitalizations. No deaths have been reported.

In its public advisory, the FDA urged consumers to avoid eating the recalled eggs.
“Consumers should check their refrigerators for any recalled eggs and throw them away or return them to their place of purchase for a refund,” the agency said.

“If you stored eggs without the original packaging and cannot tell if they are part of the recall, throw them away.”
The agency also warned restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell the affected products. Officials advised thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with the recalled eggs.

The company emphasized that the recall was initiated voluntarily after receiving test results.
“Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. is voluntarily recalling 1,589,577 dozen white shell eggs and brown cage free shell eggs produced in Texas because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis,” the company’s recall announcement stated.

Salmonella Enteritidis is a bacterium that can contaminate eggs both inside the shell and on the shell’s exterior. Infection typically develops between 12 and 72 hours after consuming contaminated food.
Common symptoms include diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting. Most healthy people recover within several days. Young children, older adults and individuals with weakened immune systems face a greater risk of severe illness.

Consumers can determine whether their eggs are included in the recall by checking the printed plant codes. The affected cartons display either “P-1950” or “0840962” alongside Julian dates between 157 and 184. The eggs were packaged in a variety of carton sizes, ranging from six-count containers to 60-count packages.
Food safety experts recommend discarding the recalled eggs or returning them for a refund rather than attempting to cook them. Consumers should also wash their hands, utensils and food preparation surfaces with hot, soapy water after handling raw eggs.

Federal officials said the investigation remains active and additional information could become available as testing and traceback efforts continue.
For now, health authorities say consumers should carefully inspect egg cartons before preparing meals and avoid consuming any products included in the recall.
