Former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kandi Burruss and her ex-husband, Todd Tucker, have settled their divorce after announcing their split nearly five months ago.
Burruss, a former member of the Grammy-winning group Xscape, provided a statement to PEOPLE magazine in November 2025 stating that after a lot of reflection, she made the difficult decision to get a divorce from her husband of 11 years.

"After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect," Burruss told PEOPLE.
Burruss and Tucker met on the set of RHOA. According to PEOPLE, the couple met in 2011 while filming season 4 of the reality series and were married in 2014 and have two children together.

According to court documents, the two individuals announced a full and final settlement.
Even though they announced the settlement, the case remains open until they have submitted final orders that include a parenting plan, child support addendum, child support worksheet and other items, according to legal documents.

#MusicNews: Glenn Lewis Returns With New Single “Past Tense”

Grammy-nominated R&B vocalist Glenn Lewis has officially returned to the  musical landscape, marking a significant pivot in his career. The Toronto native released his new single, “Past Tense,” today, March 13, 2026, signaling his first solo output in over ten years and his debut as a fully independent artist.

The track serves as the lead single for a forthcoming full-length studio album scheduled for release in Summer 2026.
Breaking away from the traditional major label structure, Lewis is releasing the project under his own imprint, Reimagery Inc. The move represents a “creative reset” for the artist, prioritizing creative ownership and artistic restraint over commercial trends.

Unlike the high-octane production common in contemporary R&B, “Past Tense” is characterized by its use of “warmth and space.” The arrangement deliberately avoids dense production, instead centering on Lewis’s signature vocal—described here as grounded and unforced—to drive the narrative.

While the R&B genre often focuses on the friction of heartbreak, Lewis describes “Past Tense” as a study in emotional intelligence rather than a standard breakup song.
“Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen,” Lewis stated regarding the release. “Allowing myself to be an interpreter of the message hidden in the  music.”

“Past Tense” was written by Glenn along with Juwayon Clarke and produced by Seige Monstracity.
The upcoming album is expected to expand on these themes, focusing on accountability and the perspective gained from a decade away from the spotlight. This body of work marks a departure from Lewis’s earlier hits, aiming for a “conversational” tone that reflects his growth as both a songwriter and a man.

Listen here:

This will be the first album from Glenn Lewis since he released “Moment of Truth” in 2013. He also contributed vocals to the entire DJ Jazzy Jeff led project “Chasing Goosebumps” from 2017.

#HipHopNews: 2 Chainz Memoir ‘The Voice In My Head Is God’ Debuts on New York Times Best Sellers List
2 Chainz has added another milestone to his career as his debut memoir, The Voice In My Head Is God, lands at No. 10 on The New York Times Best Sellers list for nonfiction.
Released on March 3, 2026, through Black Privilege Publishing, an imprint of Atria Books, the book explores the life and mindset of the Grammy-winning rapper, actor, and entrepreneur.

In the memoir, the artist born Tauheed Epps reflects on his upbringing in College Park, Georgia, being raised by a single mother while his father was incarcerated, and the personal decisions that eventually led him away from the streets and toward music and business success.

“I know sometimes when I think of artists and their stories, a lot of it deals with the struggle. We all have struggles, and we all have stories to tell. But this book is not about out-struggling or out-traumatizing the next rapper,” says 2 Chainz. “I’m tapped into a higher source. I’m trying to enlighten. I’m trying to draw some jewels. I’m trying to give you some game.”

Throughout the book, 2 Chainz discusses the realities of loyalty, entrepreneurship, fatherhood and the spiritual perspective that has shaped his approach to life.
“The voice in your head is God’s whisper. It’s like somebody in your classroom trying to give you the answers to a test. Life’s tests,” 2 Chainz writes. “That’s what it feels like to me, my energy, my life’s journey, how it feels in my chakras. I’m a son of the highest power and I’m connected. Dig deep, dive inward. Accept the things you cannot change. Trust the things that feel a part of you.”

Charlamagne Tha God, founder of Black Privilege Publishing, praised the project, saying, “2 Chainz’s story is a story of perseverance… This book will remind you that when GOD tells you to do something, it must be done.

‘Karamo’ and More NBC Shows Canceled As NBCUniversal Stops Producing Syndicated Shows

NBCUniversal is shutting down production of its remaining first-run syndicated television shows, ending several long-running daytime programs and signaling a major shift in the company’s distribution strategy.

Among the shows canceled are the daytime talk show “Karamo,” the long-running entertainment news program “Access Hollywood,” and “The Steve Wilkos Show.” The company confirmed the decision as part of a broader move away from producing original syndicated programming.
The change affects some of the most recognizable titles in NBCUniversal’s daytime lineup. Episodes already produced will continue airing through the summer before the programs end their runs later this year.
NBCUniversal executives said the decision reflects changes in the television marketplace and the needs of local stations that air syndicated content.

In a statement, Frances Berwick, chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted for NBCUniversal, said the company is shifting its priorities.
“NBCUniversal is making changes to our first-run syndication division to better align with the programming preferences of local stations,” Berwick said. “The company will remain active in the distribution of our existing program library and other off-network titles, while winding down production of our first-run shows.”

The cancellations mark the end of an era for NBCUniversal’s syndicated programming unit, which for decades supplied talk shows and entertainment news programs to local television stations across the United States.
“Access Hollywood,” which debuted in 1996, became one of the longest-running entertainment news programs on television. The show featured celebrity interviews, red-carpet coverage and industry news during its nearly 30-year run.

The program is currently hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans and Zuri Hall. Production will continue through summer 2026 before the show signs off.
The daytime talk show “Karamo,” hosted by “Queer Eye” personality Karamo Brown, will also end after four seasons. The series premiered in September 2022 and aired in syndication nationwide.

“The Steve Wilkos Show,” a spin-off of “The Jerry Springer Show,” will conclude after a 19-season run. The show launched in 2007 and built a loyal audience with its confrontational talk-show format.
Industry analysts say the cancellations highlight broader shifts in the television business. Viewers are increasingly turning to streaming platforms and digital video outlets rather than traditional daytime television.

NBCUniversal’s move follows other recent changes across its television operations. The company has already wound down several long-running programs in recent years, including the pop-culture news show “E! News,” which ended in 2025 after more than three decades.

Additional daytime programs across the television landscape have also faced uncertainty as networks reassess costs and viewing habits. Syndicated talk shows once dominated daytime television, but audience fragmentation has made the format more difficult to sustain.
Despite the cancellations, NBCUniversal said it will remain active in distributing existing content and off-network programming to local stations.

“These shows have provided audiences with great talk and entertainment content for many years,” Berwick said. “We’re very proud of the teams behind them.”

Jasmine Crockett’s Former Security Guard Reportedly Shot To Death By Police
A member of Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s security detail was fatally shot by Dallas Police SWAT officers during an armed standoff on Wednesday.
Dallas SWAT officers shot and killed Mike King during a confrontation in the parking garage of Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Authorities said King exited a vehicle and pointed a gun at them, per Dallas Express.

CBS reports the cops then tear-gassed King, prompting him to jump out of the vehicle and pull a gun before he was fatally shot by police.
Officers reportedly tracked King to the location amid an active warrant for impersonating a law enforcement officer. King operated Off Duty Police Services, an online platform that connected North Texas officers with off-duty job opportunities.

His background reportedly includes a criminal history, raising concerns about how he secured roles involving law-enforcement coordination and high-profile protection, per CBS.
King was a visible presence alongside Crockett at various events and during her recent U.S Senate bid. He allegedly supervised security teams at downtown Dallas hotels and managed operations at his church, and reportedly drove a replica undercover police cruiser and used stolen license plates pilfered from cars outside a military recruiting office.

CBS reviewed documents that reveal a man named Mike King was paid for “security services” by Crockett in 2025.
Crockett’s team has not released a statemen as of yet on the fatality.

Keke Palmer Gets Proposed to by Suspicious Fan at SXSW

Keke Palmer faced an unusual interruption Friday when a man from the audience unexpectedly proposed marriage during a panel at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival.
The moment occurred during a live recording of Palmer’s podcast session, “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer,” where she appeared alongside several co-stars from her upcoming film I Love Boosters. The panel was meant to highlight the film’s debut at the annual Austin festival.

Instead, it briefly turned into a tense and awkward scene.
Witnesses said a man approached the stage, dropped to one knee and opened a ring box toward the Emmy-winning performer. Palmer appeared surprised as the audience watched the exchange unfold.
“I can’t marry you, I don’t know you, I’m so sorry,” Palmer said into the microphone as the man remained on one knee. “Is this a prank?”

Security staff quickly stepped in and escorted the man away from the stage while the audience reacted with a mix of laughter and concern.
The proposal happened while Palmer interviewed her co-stars during the panel discussion. The cast included actors such as Demi Moore, Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu and Eiza González.

Several panelists looked stunned as the fan interrupted the event.
Videos circulating online showed the man lingering briefly before security intervened. Palmer maintained her composure and tried to calm the room.
“Sorry guys, let’s just take a deep breath,” she told the crowd after the incident. “Much love to you, brother.”

After the interruption ended, Palmer resumed the conversation with her fellow actors and continued the scheduled discussion.
Festival officials later confirmed that the man was escorted from the venue and had his credentials revoked. Authorities also arrested the individual on a criminal trespass charge after the incident.
Witnesses reported that the same person had displayed unusual behavior earlier in the day. Some said he had attempted to enter restricted areas before the panel began.

Despite the disruption, Palmer was widely praised online for handling the situation calmly.
Palmer, 32, has built a long career in film, television and music since emerging as a child star in Akeelah and the Bee. She has since earned multiple awards and recognition for her work as an actor and host.

Her appearance at SXSW was part of promotion for I Love Boosters, a crime comedy directed by Boots Riley that follows a group of shoplifters navigating the fashion world. The film premiered at the festival and is scheduled for theatrical release later this year.
The unexpected proposal briefly overshadowed the panel but did not stop the event from continuing.

Within minutes of the interruption, Palmer addressed the audience with a smile and returned to the discussion.
“We’re back,” she said, prompting applause from the crowd as the panel moved forward.

Ray J Hit With New American Express Lawsuit Over Alleged $78K Credit Card Debt
R&B singer Ray J is facing legal action from American Express over what the company claims is an unpaid credit card balance totaling more than $78,000.

According to a recently filed complaint, the financial services company alleges that Ray J, whose legal name is Ray Norwood, failed to repay $78,704.56 connected to an American Express credit account. The lawsuit requests that a court award the company the full balance along with interest and legal costs.

American Express claims Norwood previously entered into a cardholder agreement that required him to pay all charges and any accumulated balances on the account. The complaint states that Norwood did not satisfy the outstanding amount, which the company contends constitutes a breach of the agreement.

The new filing comes months after another legal dispute involving the singer and the same company. In December, American Express initiated a separate debt collection lawsuit alleging that Ray J owed $139,849.85 tied to a different credit account.

That earlier case also named Tronix Network as a defendant. The company is associated with Norwood’s technology and digital business ventures.

In the December complaint, American Express alleged that the defendants failed to meet payment obligations under a separate cardholder agreement and sought to recover the alleged debt through a court judgment.

The latest lawsuit now centers solely on the disputed $78,704.56 balance that American Express claims remains unpaid.

Quincy Jones’ Estate Sells Music Rights – ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ Revenue Stake Included In Deal
The estate of legendary producer Quincy Jones has struck a major business deal, selling select music and entertainment assets to HarbourView Equity Partners.
According to reporting, the transaction includes portions of Jones’ recorded music and publishing catalog, along with additional rights tied to various projects connected to the late music icon.

The deal also includes Jones’ participation in the classic sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a show he helped develop alongside other producers.
Notably, the agreement covers only select assets, meaning the entirety of Jones’ catalog was not included in the sale.
HarbourView Equity Partners, which specializes in acquiring music and media rights, has built a growing portfolio of high-profile catalogs through similar deals.

Jones — whose career spanned decades across music, film and television — remains one of the most influential producers in entertainment history, with the latest transaction adding another chapter to the management of his legacy.

Dolly Parton Shares Health Update During First Public Appearance in Months

Dolly Parton says she is focusing on her health and emotional recovery following a difficult year that included the loss of her longtime husband.
The 80-year-old star offered an update while speaking at the opening day of the new season at Dollywood, the theme park she founded in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. During the keynote appearance, Parton addressed recent concerns about her health and explained why fans haven’t seen her lately.

“I’ve not been touring, as you know,” Parton said. “I’ve had a few little health issues, and we’re taking good care of them.”
Parton explained that the past year has been physically and emotionally draining after the death of her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, who died in March 2025 at age 82. The couple had been married for nearly six decades.

“I just kind of got worn down and worn out, grieving over Carl and a lot of other little things going on,” she told the audience. “I just got myself kind of where I needed to build myself back up spiritually, emotionally and physically.”

Despite the challenges, Parton reassured fans that she is feeling better and remains optimistic.
“But all is good,” she added. “It didn’t slow me down.”
Parton also addressed speculation about her personal life with humor, joking that she has no plans to start dating again following Dean’s death.

“I’m not dating anybody,” she said with a laugh, adding that Dean might not approve if she showed up to heaven with someone new.
Parton and Dean married in 1966 and maintained a famously private relationship. While Parton became one of country music’s biggest stars, Dean largely stayed out of the spotlight and rarely attended public events.
The singer’s health has been closely watched in recent months after she postponed a planned Las Vegas residency and missed a major theme park industry ceremony last year due to illness.

R. Kelly is No Longer in Solitary Confinement Following Internal Review
R. Kelly has been removed from solitary confinement following a prison review of his behavior.
The disgraced R&B singer-songwriter was placed into confinement for two weeks at his North Carolina facility last month following a search of his cell, where a notebook was found with a retired warden’s phone number. Although Kelly’s attorney claimed the official was a “mentor” of the three-time Grammy winner, he was taken into isolation and an internal review about him procuring the number was launched.

Kelly’s lawyer, Beau Brindley, told Los Angeles Magazine that “no impropriety whatsoever was found with respect to his possession of the telephone number of a former prison official.”

“He was kept in special housing for approximately two weeks without legitimate cause before the facility was compelled to release him,” Brindley said of Kelly being temporarily placed in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) at the Federal Correctional Complex. A photo has since surfaced of 59-year-old Kelly posing with another inmate.

The controversial R&B singer is serving a 30-year sentence after being convicted of racketeering and sex crimes in New York and Illinois in 2021 and 2023, respectively. Despite previous claims, Kelly did not attempt to escape from prison, although he accused a solitary confinement employee of trying to kill him. In January, Kelly was taken to a hospital after refusing to undergo a procedure to alleviate his blood clots at the facility. The artist and his lawyers claimed that a staffer attempted to administer a potentially lethal amount of medication.

Also in February, Reshona Landfair, the then-child victim in the infamous 2000s Kelly videotape, published her memoir about being groomed by the singer, titled Who’s Watching Shorty?

Steven Spielberg Appears to Shade Timothée Chalamet in New Comments About Ballet & Opera

Steven Spielberg appears to be weighing in on Timothée Chalamet’s controversial comments about ballet and opera.
The acclaimed director spoke at a keynote conversation at SXSW recently and he made a comment about how much he values streaming and working with Netflix, but for him, “the real experience comes when we can influence a community to congregate in a strange, dark space where all of us are strangers.”

He continued, “At the end of a really good movie experience, we are all united with a whole bunch of feelings that we walk into the daylight with, or into the nighttime with. And there’s nothing like that. It happens in movies, and in concerts,” he said, per Variety.

“And it happens in ballet and opera, by the way,” Steven said.
When he said it, the outlet reports that the audience broke out in cheers and laughter, prompting him to add, “And we want that to be sustained. We want that to go forever.”

The Jaws director is just one of many stars now who has publicly criticized the Marty Supreme star for what he said, such as Nathan Lane, who also named Matthew McConaughey in his criticism.
But others, like opera singer Andrea Boceli, offered Timothée more of an olive branch, inviting him to learn more about the art form.

Suspect In Rihanna Home Shooting Allegedly Sent Email Demanding Husband “Renounce” the Singer
The suspect accused of opening fire at Rihanna’s home is now tied to a message investigators say she sent weeks before the incident, and the email is raising new questions about what may have led up to the shooting.

Court documents connected to the Rihanna home shooting show Ivanna Lisette Ortiz allegedly contacted her estranged husband, Jed Valdez Sangalang, with a message about the singer before the gunfire erupted. According to filings submitted by Sangalang, Ortiz sent him an email on January 26 referencing Rihanna directly and demanding that he make a declaration.

“I need you to renounce Rihanna and confess that I’m better than her. Let it be done. You gotta let me know so that door can be closed,” the email states, according to the court paperwork obtained by TMZ.

Sangalang included the message as part of a request for full custody and sole decision-making authority over the couple’s minor child. He told the court he only learned about the shooting the following day after receiving calls and emails about Ortiz, including inquiries from news organizations asking for information.

The father also said he attempted to shield their child from the news. However, he told the court that another student at school mentioned the shooting, which forced him to explain what had happened.

Authorities previously charged Ortiz with attempted murder and assault after investigators said multiple rounds were fired at Rihanna’s home on Sunday. Sources familiar with the situation say Rihanna, her mother, and her children were inside the residence at the time, though A$AP Rocky was not there.

Records also indicate Ortiz had previously been placed on a psychiatric hold in Florida as the case tied to the Rihanna home shooting continues through the legal system.

Food Stamp Recipients Sue USDA Over Ban on Candy, Soda, and Energy Drinks

A group of food stamp recipients is taking the federal government to court, arguing new limits on what can be purchased with nutrition benefits go too far and could harm vulnerable families.
Five recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), challenging a series of pilot programs that restrict certain food purchases made with benefits. The plaintiffs, represented by the National Center for Law and Economic Justice, live in Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

The USDA has approved 22 state waiver requests that block SNAP recipients from buying items considered “non-nutritious,” including candy, soda, energy drinks, and other junk foods. However, the exact restrictions vary from state to state.
According to the lawsuit, the policy changes create confusion for both recipients and retailers because each state now operates under a different definition of what qualifies as eligible food.

“The food restriction waivers contain no exceptions for individual medical, nutritional, or household circumstances. Instead, the food restriction waivers place on recipients and retailers the responsibility for determining whether a particular product is a permissible SNAP purchase under each state’s altered definition of ‘food,’” the suit reads.
One plaintiff, Amanda Johnson of Tennessee, says the restrictions could directly affect her disabled teenage daughter, who lives with avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). The lawsuit states that Johnson’s daughter can safely eat only a small number of specific foods.

“Because of her daughter’s ARFID, she can safely consume only a very limited number of ‘safe foods,’” the lawsuit says. “If she is unable to eat those foods, the only alternative is nutrition through a feeding tube.”

The USDA declined to comment on the lawsuit and referred questions to the Justice Department’s Office of Public Affairs.
Plaintiffs argue the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act and are asking a federal court to block the pilot programs and delay any future waivers from taking effect.
