#RHOA: Kenya Moore’s Ex-Husband Marc Daly Sued for Eviction, Alleged 6-Figure Debt
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore’s ex-husband, Marc Daly, is facing serious legal issues, including eviction from his New York apartment, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Marc was sued by the landlord of his Brooklyn apartment building on October 25, 2024.
The landlord claimed Marc signed a lease extension in February 2024, and his lease was scheduled to end in June 2025. Apartments in the building run from $3,424 for a studio to $6,485 for a two-bedroom.
Marc was paying $4,920.82 per month in rent. The landlord said he failed to pay rent for August and September 2024. They claimed he owed a total of $9,341 at the time the lawsuit was filed.
A judgment of possession was entered in the case on February 19, 2025.
On top of the eviction lawsuit, Marc is fighting a lawsuit brought by a separate landlord over alleged unpaid rent on another property.
Back in July 2024, a landlord named 507 Myrtle LLC sued Marc, along with Maahes LLC and Ogun LLC, and Marc was listed as the owner-guarantor of the two LLCs.
The landlord said the lawsuit was being brought to recover payment under two retail leases signed by the defendants.
The landlord said the defendants had defaulted on the leases for two retail space in a Brooklyn building. The suit said the defendants signed a lease in 2017, along with an expansion lease in 2019.
The 2017 lease had a ten-year term that expired in 2027. The 2019 lease had a ten-year term that expired in 2029.
Per their deal, Marc agreed to be liable for any money owed by the LLCs.
The suit said the defendants “have remained in mounting default of the leases … since 2022 before terminating operations and abandoning the premieres by the beginning of 2024 and cutting off all performance under the contracts.”
“Accordingly, at present, Defendants owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid rents and default obligations which continue to accrue,” the suit read.
The landlord sued Marc and the LLCs for his alleged breach of the deal. The lease agreement said the space was to be used as a restaurant.
Per the lease, the LLCs were to pay $6,500 per month in rent for the first year, and it would grow every year.
Marc owned a Brooklyn restaurant named SoCo, which announced it was closing down in December 2024.
The social media page announced the news writing, “It is with a full heart that I announce the closure of Soco. After 15 years of serving our wonderful community, it’s time for me to explore a new adventure in media, so I move onward and upward.” The message was signed by “M.D.”
The restaurant was located on the same street as the property listed in the lease agreement.
In October 2024, the landlord said it served Marc with the legal papers at SoCo. The landlord’s lawyer said he personally served Marc at the restaurant.
He said he asked an employee for Marc, who went to get him from the kitchen. “He was approximately five feet five inches, approximately fifty years of age,” the attorney wrote.
In a separate filing, the landlord demanded $210,115 on the 2017 lease and $238,197 on the 2019 lease for a grand total of $448,313.55.

Around the same time, Marc and the LLCs filed a response and denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
The defendants argued the claims were barred by the statutes of limitations.
In addition, they said, “[The landlord’s lawsuit] should be dismissed in whole or in part, for failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.”
Marc and the defendants claimed the landlord was able to re-let one of the premieres after they vacated. Marc claimed he had informed the landlord’s agent in late 2023 of his plans to vacate. A hearing has been set for June in the matter. Kenya wed Marc in June 2017, and share a daughter named Brooklyn.
The duo split in September 2019 and a bitter divorce battle erupted.
As In Touch first reported, per the divorce settlement, Kenya was awarded primary custody of their daughter, and each was awarded joint legal custody.
Marc agreed to pay Kenya $2,000 per month in child support, despite her being a higher earner.

“Mine” is way more chill and laid-back than her previous lead singles “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” (from 2002’s All I Have) and “1 Thing” (from 2005’s Touch). Although it lacks the excitement of those songs, it is a solid comeback track and a fine addition to Amerie’s oeuvre.
As for that new album Amerie promised, she is indeed putting the finishing touches on her next LP, which will be released later this year. A day meant for celebration turned deadly after Young Scooter died on his birthday last night while reportedly trying to run from police.
On Friday evening (March 28), news began circulating on social media that Young Scooter had passed away. The 39-year-old Atlanta rapper reportedly jumped two fences while running from a home in Atlanta and subsequently injured his leg, according to Lt. Andrew Smith, Homicide Commander with the Atlanta Police Department during a press conference last night. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, 11Alive reports.
Lt. Smith did not confirm Scooter was the man who died after being asked by a reporter to do so. He said the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will notify the next of kin first before a name is released. An autopsy is expected to be conducted Saturday (March 29).
11Alive journalist Cody Alcorn confirmed with his own sources that Young Scooter died as a result of the incident.
"I can confirm 39-year-old Kenneth Bailey, known as Atlanta based rapper Young Scooter died tonight. @Atlanta_Police said they were pursuing Bailey after a call of a disturbance with weapons. Bailey was one of 2 suspects who ran from a home on William Nye Drive," he tweeted last night.
Police Provide Details on Young Scooter's Death
According to a preliminary statement from police, officers responded to the scene at Zone 3 in Atlanta following a report of gunshots fired. Lt. Smith said a woman was dragged back into the location, but upon further investigation no victim was found. When cops arrived at the Atlanta home and knocked on the door, a man opened the door then immediately shut it. Officers began establishing a perimeter around the location when two males fled out of the rear of the house. One man returned back to the home while the man who was later identified as Young Scooter ran away.
Scooter jumped two fences and sustained a leg injury during the foot chase. When officers located him on the other side of the fence, cops rendered aid in the form of a tourniquet. He was transported to the hospital where he died.
Police confirm there were no shots fired during the chase despite rumors going around on social media that stated otherwise.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with a male who exited the house; however, the male immediately fled from responding officers. After a brief foot chase, officers were able to locate the male and he was found to be suffering from an apparent leg injury. Atlanta police officers did not discharge their firearms.
Officers rendered aid to the male, by applying a tourniquet and he was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Medical personnel later notified the officers that the male had succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased. Investigators with the Homicide Unit as well as investigators with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time."
The hip-hop community shared many condolences and thoughts upon hearing the news Scooter died.
Quavo tweeted, "ion understand," along with emojis of hearts and praying hands and a video for Migos' song "Holmes" featuring Young Scooter.
Meek Mill admitted he shed tears over the late artist's passing. "RIP TO SCOOTER....... CRAZY TEARS FOR YOU!!!!!!!" he tweeted.
In a post on X, ATL Jacob shared that the voice for his producer tag was done by Scooter: "ATL Jacob ATL Jacob came from Young Scooter man brudda you forever Legendary."

Netflix orders extremely rare pilot for A Different World sequel show
Netflix typically doesn’t screw around with ordering pilots. Rather than fussing around with trial balloons, the streamer generally just commits to a first season of a show, a practice it’s followed so religiously that it’s had weird knock-on effects for the whole TV industry, taking pilot season from a feverish free-for-all to a much quieter affair, one where only a few handfuls of TV pilots get made, total, every year. So it’s interesting to note that the streamer has just issued exactly one such pilot order for the long-gestating sequel series to classic Cosby Show spin-off A Different World, suggesting that execs at the company would really like to see how this kind of reboot will work before they commit to shelling out for a whole season.
The sequel show is being developed, and will be showrun, by Felicia Pride, previously of Grey’s Anatomy and Queen Sugar. The series will reportedly take one of the Standard Accepted TV Reboot narratives, i.e., following the kids of the show’s original cast as they make their own debuts at Hillman College. The pilot will reportedly be directed by Debbie Allen, who was brought in to oversee the series from its second season onward, and who directed almost all of the original 144 episodes of the original series; she’ll also executive produce alongside Mandy Summers, Tom Werner, Gina Prince-Bythewood, and Reggie Bythewood. So far, no cast members have apparently been locked in for the pilot, while Netflix is reportedly hoping to see how the ensemble gels before it makes any big commitments to a full series.
The original A Different World ran for six seasons on NBC, airing from 1987 to 1993. (It ended up outliving The Cosby Show by just a year.) The show initially starred Cosby‘s Lisa Bonet, but when she got pregnant—and Bill Cosby objected to depicting Denise Huxtable as a young unwed mother on the series—she was removed from the show. (As was Marisa Tomei, over concerns that having a white leading character detracted from the show’s attempts to depict life at a historically black college.) From the second season on, the series focused on an ensemble centered on Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison, with other cast members over the years including Dawnn Lewis, Sinbad, and Jada Pinkett Smith. There’s no word on who, if anyone, from the previous series will appear in the planned reboot, although it seems natural to assume that Guy and Hardison will at least show up for cameos, given that original descriptions for the show suggested it would center on the daughter of the pair’s characters, Whitley and Dwayne.

Bishop Marvin Sapp Responds To Viral Video Demanding $40K From Congregation
Marvin Sapp has responded to a controversial viral clip where he commanded the ushers of his church to close the doors until $40,000 was donated by the congregation. In a lengthy Facebook post, Sapp explained why he instructed the doos to be shut, the biblical intent behind the specific ask, and shared that he also paid it forward with more than the $100 he requested of ministry leaders.
“Recently, a clip has gone viral of me challenging 2,000 individuals(virtually and in person) to plant a seed of $20 during an international gathering held at a convention center, with over 4,000 people in attendance that evening plus virtual viewers,” wrote the 58-year-old. “In that same moment, I also challenged leadership to lead by example by sowing $100. That evening, I personally gave much more.”
He continued to detail, “The truth is, when finances are being received in any worship gathering, it is one of the most vulnerable and exposed times for both the finance and security teams. Movement during this sacred exchange can be distracting and, at times, even risky. My directive was not about control it was about creating a safe, focused, and reverent environment for those choosing to give, and for those handling the resources.”
Further in the explanation, the Gospel musician quoted the bible to add “context, not opinion, not tradition, but Scripture.”
“In 1 Chronicles 29, we find a powerful moment where David, preparing for the building of the temple, challenges the people to give. He starts by giving of his own treasure over and above what he had already set aside. Then he calls on the leaders to do the same. What happened next? The people gave willingly and generously. In fact, they gave so much that a record was kept of each gift, and ultimately, David had to tell the people to stop giving because the need had been exceeded.”
Sapp added, “The Bible says they gave gold, silver, bronze, iron, and precious stones. Specific amounts were recorded not because God needed their money, but because the people needed to show their commitment to the vision and because stewardship demands accountability. So when someone challenges people to give a specific amount, it is not unbiblical. It is not manipulation. It is in order. It is consistent with Scripture.”

"At this consequential moment for journalism, I want to ensure the focus is not on the politics of division but entirely on awarding our colleagues for their outstanding work and providing scholarship and mentorship to the next generation of journalists," he said.
Daniels, who did not mention Ruffin by name in the memo, said the board is planning a "re-envisioning of our dinner," adding that he will reveal more details later.
Ruffin, who hosted a talk show on Peacock and has been a longtime writer and performer for "Late Night with Seth Meyers," did not immediately comment about the cancellation of her performance, which the WHCA had announced in February. She has long lampooned and poked fun at Washington politics, especially the Trump administration, during her routines.
Ruffin talked about her preparation for the event in a podcast this week with the Daily Beast.
"News is happening at such a freaking clip that how are we supposed to hit this moving target?" she said.
"I love laughing about things when they get terrible," she added. "You can’t help but to laugh.”

Body of missing 5-year-old boy recovered in Gwinnett County retention pond
The body of a missing nonverbal 5-year-old was found Friday in a Gwinnett County retention pond.
“It’s just a tragic accident and he just walked away from the apartment and there was a body of water behind the apartment complex,” said Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle with the Gwinnett Police Department.
Police said Indi Bullock was last seen around 4:30 p.m. at the Reflections on Sweetwater Apartments, located at 3405 Sweetwater Road in Lawrenceville, the day prior.
“It could have been preventable. As in not to put anything on the mom or anything, he’s a special needs kids, hey lock doors,” said Latrice Smith, who lives nearby and came to the complex on Friday to help search.
The retention pond, which is behind that apartment complex, was about five feet deep, police said.
Bullock reportedly went missing after jumping over his home’s balcony.
The search effort continued in earnest on Friday morning. Gwinnett County officials said two K-9s continued to search the area where Bullock was last seen, while other crews were focused on a nearby retention pond.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources used a remote-operated submarine with cameras to search the pond. A helicopter and drones with thermal imaging cameras were flown over the water, and divers from the Hall County Sheriff’s Department were also called.
Law enforcement officials said foul play is not expected.
Police said the medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.

"If I don't want be there, I'm not gonna be there," he continued. "I think it's more important than ever to really stand in myself and my power and recognize where I'm taking my energy and where I don't want to take it."
Nas also recalled the need for wanting "everybody to like me before." "When I started to let go of it more, I would still hold onto to it. And now I'm here and I'm just... I'm showing up as me. I'm existing," he continued.

Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother found guilty of fraud
Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother were found guilty on all counts in their federal wire fraud trial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Friday.
Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, were accused of defrauding a jewelry business, a luxury bed company, a used luxury and exotic car dealership, and a luxury microLED TV company, arrest warrants said.
A jury delivered the convictions after 3½ hours of deliberation.
Kingston, 34, was ordered to be confined to house arrest with electronic monitoring. He must post a surety bond of a home valued at $500,000 and $200,000 in cash, according to the court.
Turner, 61, was remanded into federal custody, where she was ordered to remain until sentencing.
Both are scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.
As the verdicts were read on Friday, Kingston and his mother dabbed away tears.
Kingston was arrested in Fort Irwin, California, in May on a warrant issued by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Florida after a SWAT team raided his home in Southwest Ranches, a community in Broward.
A federal grand jury indicted the pair in July 2024. The indictment accused Kingston of using his celebrity influence and social media accounts to convince sellers of luxury goods to deliver items before payment.
His mother, the indictment said, often followed up to ensure delivery dates and other details. Payment was then made via fraudulent and worthless wire transfers, the criminal complaint said, while the items were retained by Kingston.
The scheme went on for a few years until March 2024, the indictment said.
The pair pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Turner’s defense attorney, Humberto Dominguez, said during closing arguments Friday that she was trying to protect her son from people after his money, and she had suspicions about a TV installer, two jewelers and car dealership mentioned in court.
“This case is about a woman’s intuition,” Dominguez said.
After telling Judge David S. Leibowitz he wanted to “speak his truth” earlier in the proceedings, Kingston changed course, ultimately deciding not to testify.
Kingston was allowed to post bond and remain out of jail until his sentencing partly because he made the decision to remain silent, the federal judge said in court.
Leibowitz said Turner’s testimony, which he said amounted to obstruction, was a factor in his decision to remand her into federal custody. He said her testimony “makes it impossible to believe she wouldn’t do anything for her son.”
Kingston and Turner hugged as she was taken into federal custody. As he left the courtroom, Kingston thanked the judge for his fairness.
The Jamaica-born artist did not speak to media as he left court in a Lamborghini Urus SUV.
He was 17 when his hit “Beautiful Girls” was released in 2007. It quickly topped Billboard's Top 100 and stayed there for four weeks. The single showcased Kingston's hybrid, singsong rapping, part of a Jamaican tradition that underlies the origins of hip-hop, over the musical track of “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. Its video surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube in 2022, according to Billboard.
Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, were accused of defrauding a jewelry business, a luxury bed company, a used luxury and exotic car dealership, and a luxury microLED TV company, arrest warrants said.
A jury delivered the convictions after 3½ hours of deliberation.
Kingston, 34, was ordered to be confined to house arrest with electronic monitoring. He must post a surety bond of a home valued at $500,000 and $200,000 in cash, according to the court.
Turner, 61, was remanded into federal custody, where she was ordered to remain until sentencing.
Both are scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.
As the verdicts were read on Friday, Kingston and his mother dabbed away tears.

Deadline reports Jenkins will direct the biopic, with Dave Kajganich recruited to write an original screenplay. “Be My Baby,” will star Zendaya as Spector, in what sources reveal is an agreed-on version of the songstress’ story between Zendaya and Jenkins.
One that offers an alternative to the traditional biopic format of chronicling an entertainer’s life from birth to death with highlighting what Ronnie Spector’s life with her troubled former husband, producer Phil Spector, felt like.
Deals for Spector’s life rights and for the “Be My Baby” memoir she wrote with Vince Waldron remain intact. The feature is in development with Kajganich who is hard at work on the expressive version of Spector’s life Zendaya and Jenkins are after.
Zendaya’s involvement in “Be My Baby” goes beyond her time in front of the camera. The “Dune: Part Two” fixture also had a hand in the hot rights sale along with Marc Platt and Adam Siegel. The trio will all produce the upcoming biopic with Mark Itkin and Tom Shelly.

*Kanye West’s latest project, “Bully,” made a sudden appearance on Apple Music, only to vanish shortly after, fueling speculation and controversy.
Ye recently released a 45-minute YouTube video titled BULLY V1, featuring his son Saint. When the full album dropped on Apple Music, it was swiftly removed, Daily Express reports. The reason behind this abrupt takedown remains unclear, but Ye wasted no time addressing the situation. Taking to social media, he wrote: “APPLE MUSIC REMOVED BULLY V1, BUT THAT WON’T STOP ME MY MUSIC IS BIGGER THAN THEIR PLATFORMS. I’M SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE, AND NO ONE CAN SILENCE THAT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF MY FIGHT.”
Ye’s new project comes as he is dealing with personal drama, including reported marital struggles with Bianca Censori and ongoing custody battles with Kim Kardashian. West has publicly declared his opposition to Kardashian’s recent move to secure the trademark rights to their daughter North West’s name. The rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on March 15, sharing a series of posts that laid out his frustration over the situation.
The first post included an excerpt from a legal document stating that Kim Kardashian is the “sole and exclusive owner” of trademarks related to North’s name and that Ye’s use of it would violate their custody agreement, Complex reports. Ye questioned his followers, writing, “This happened without me being aware. How do you guys feel about this?”
In a follow-up post, Ye shared what appeared to be a text conversation between him and Kardashian, where she defended her decision.
“I’m never speaking with you again,” he wrote.
Kim responded: “I asked u at the time if I can trademark her name You said yes when she’s 18 it goes to her so stop I sent paper work over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song To protect her One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks So no one else would take them.”
Ye then warned, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”

Nearly two years after the release of “Good Burger 2” on Paramount Plus, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell revealed at 90s Con on March 28th that “Good Burger 3” is officially in the works.
“So, here’s the thing—we teased it,” Mitchell told the crowd, referencing the ending of ‘Good Burger 2,’ where he joked, “We’re gonna go to space. We’re going to ‘Fast and Furious’ this thing.”
He continued, sharing that he and Thompson had already discussed the script for the third movie.
“Me and Kenan actually sat down and talked about the script for part three, alright, so it’s going to go down. We’ve got to make sure it’s right, just like how ‘Good Burger 2’ was. We’re not gonna make you guys wait over 15 years,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell also teased the possibility of a “Kenan & Kel” revival, with the stars returning as fathers. “Good Burger 2” brought back the iconic duo, Dexter Reed (Thompson) and Ed (Mitchell), as they face off against the takeover of the autonomous restaurant Mega Good Burger.
