On if she thinks the #MeToo movement “worked”: “I think so.” For one, “there are no meetings set up in hotel rooms, from what I understand, or if there are, it’s multiple people in the room. That bubble has definitely burst…I’m sure people still abuse power in Hollywood because they do everywhere, but it has definitely changed.”
On her emotional response in the aftermath of winning an Oscar at 26: “There’s a healthy level of ambition, like, ‘I know who I am’ and ‘I want the world,’ … And then there’s another aspect that comes from damage…. ‘I want that so that a hole will be filled, so that other people will find me worthy, so that I’ll be lovable.’… I think I was very much dancing between those things.”
On the negative press around the future of Goop after they laid off 18 percent of their staff in 2024: “Maybe I would care if it was true that we’re doing it because business wasn’t good, but I’m very clear…. We are not doing this because the business is faltering. We’re doing this because I need to optimize EBITDA…My business is a good business and it’s a strong business and the brand is strong…Case in point, we’re still here. We just had our best year.”
On what she considers her place in culture: “[I]t might just be that my role is to pave the way…By some instinct or curiosity or desire, I go somewhere and I hack through the path and I get the scratches of hacking through, but I make space for other people, then, to do it. [T]hat’s the point of my life, maybe?”
On her current relationship with ex, Chris Martin: “It’s not quite brother, but we are complete family…He is there for me through anything, and vice versa.”

#RHOA: Phaedra Parks Reveals What to Expect from Her "Very Spicy" RHOA Return
Phaedra Parks' return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta is happening very soon. The entrepreneur, lawyer, and mom of two has not yet made her return to RHOA Season 16 in the first four episodes. But, when she does make her first appearance of the season, it's going to be major — get all the details down below.
Phaedra first announced that she would be returning to RHOA for Season 16 last summer after being a cast member on Married to Medicine Seasons 10 and 11. The mortician took to Instagram at the time, where she posted a series of photos of her holding a peach while standing on stairs, leading up to a private plane. "You called. I answered," she wrote in the caption of the post.
In the months since then, Phaedra has teased whats to come from her big return and how fitting in with the Season 16 cast went for her. "It went absolutely awesome," she told E! News in September 2024. "I felt like I was back home."
It certainly helped that Phaedra's friend, Porsha Williams, joined the cast of RHOA Season 16 after appearing on RHOA from Seasons 5 to 13. This was major for Phaedra, who is very close to Porsha, and have lovingly referred to their friendship as "Frick and Frack."
"When Frick and Frack is back, honey, it's gonna be some fun," she noted. "It's definitely going to be very spicy, but it's going to be some fun, too."
She reiterated this in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight in March. "I love Porsha — Frick and Frack is back — so I'm super excited," she noted. "The new ladies are absolutely amazing, so it's gonna be fun. It's going back to basics of what made us the flagship show, so we're coming back. We're coming back for the real peach."
Phaedra was also glad that she could be on hand to shake things up. "I think bringing back some new energy, it's gonna shake it up, but in a good way. In a positive way," she told E! News.
Phaedra had previously appeared on RHOA as a full-time cast member between Season 3 through Season 9. RHOA viewers got a close up look at her life over the six seasons, watching as she gave birth to her sons, Dylan Nida and Ayden Nida, while she navigated her relationship to her now ex-husband, Apollo Nida.
Phaedra wasn't the only person who was excited about her return to RHOA — Andy Cohen was super excited, too. In an interview with The Daily Dish in December, Andy explained why he was so excited about RHOA Season 16. "I think people have been waiting a long time to see what we've done. We've got great new housewives," he explained. "We've got the return of Porsha, we've got the return of Phaedra. Shamea [Morton Mwangi] is a full housewife. I mean, she's someone that we've been seeing for years and years, but seeing her in this way is totally a breath of fresh air."
During a March 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Andy continued to tease Phaedra's return. "Well, I gotta tell you, by the way, I'm watching [The Real Housewives of] Atlanta, way ahead of it, and it's very fun when [Phaedra] joins your group, I have to say," he told Shamea, who was a guest on the show and agreed with Andy's statement.
Shamea isn't the only one who was excited about Phaedra's return. Porsha had also expressed her excitement for her "Frack" coming back to RHOA with her. Although Porsha wanted Phaedra "back day one of filming," she was "glad when she finally did come back," she explained to Deadline in November. "It's always fun, it's always light-hearted."
"As dark as life can be sometimes, you need to have that light and Frick and Frack is always going to bring the good times," she continued. "We're always going to come in and laugh at what shouldn't be laughed at, and enjoy the good things in life, and not concentrate on the bad. I just love that she's back."

Kendrick Lamar’s debut film has been delayed, with Paramount Pictures pushing its release to 2026. Originally set to hit theaters on July 4th, the project would have faced stiff competition from the upcoming Jurassic Park movie. Additionally, Kendrick’s Grand National Tour with SZA, running from April 19th to August 9th, would have overlapped with the film’s rollout. Now, Variety reports that the movie is expected to premiere on March 20, 2026.
Though many details remain under wraps, speculation continues about Kendrick’s involvement as the lead. If true, it would mark his most significant acting role to date. The rumored title, Whitney Springs, suggests a thought-provoking storyline about a Black man working as a slave re-enactor at a history museum who later discovers his white girlfriend’s ancestors once enslaved his own family.
The film, produced in collaboration with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, has also been linked to The Fabelmans actress Chloe East and newcomer Celeste Octavia. While official casting confirmations are still pending, East has built a strong acting resume, and Octavia has previously appeared as a body double for Madonna and featured in music videos for Oasis and Depeche Mode.

The cause of death was pneumonia, Mercedes Kilmer told the media outlets.
Kilmer had recovered from a 2014 throat cancer diagnosis that required tracheotomy surgery that altered his voice.
In recent years, Kilmer largely stepped away from acting, but made a brief return to the craft in “Top Gun: Maverick,” the sequel to the original film that launched him and that cast into superstardom.
The sequel, which released in 2022 after a two-year delay, deftly blended Kilmer’s off-screen health issues into the film’s story, with his Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, the smug but cool rival to Tom Cruise’s Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, ultimately succumbing to an ailment in the film.
As one of Kilmer’s last film roles, it concluded one of the most interesting — and bankable — careers in Hollywood history.

The corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been dropped by a Federal judge
A federal judge on Wednesday formally dismissed the corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, granting the controversial request from the Justice Department that generated a public outcry and spurred the largest mass resignation of senior federal prosecutors in decades.
The order from U.S. Judge Dale Ho brings an end to the case against Adams, who had pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, bribery, wire fraud and other charges following his indictment last year.
Ho said he was dismissing the case with prejudice, meaning the government could not bring the charges again later — contrary to the Justice Department's request to dismiss the case without prejudice.
Adams was scheduled to go on trial in April until new leadership at the Justice Department under the Trump administration ordered prosecutors in New York in February to drop the case.

Adams' attorney rejected allegations that the mayor had struck a deal with the Justice Department to help the Trump administration's immigration enforcement policies in return for dropping the case against the mayor.
Judge Ho concluded that the career prosecutors in the case in Manhattan abided by DOJ guidelines and said "there is no evidence — zero — that they had improper motives" in seeking indictment of the mayor.

Will Smith could be gearing up for another blockbuster movie after revealing Sony offered him a new “Men in Black” sequel.
Will Smith cracked open the lid on his possible return to the Men in Black universe during a podcast appearance where he revealed Sony had just pitched him a new sequel only hours before he went on air.
“Literally this morning, an hour before I came down here, they just threw the bag for another Men in Black,” Smith said on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. “I was like, ‘Ah, I’m supposed to be going on tour this summer!'”
The Oscar winner told Gillie Da Kid and Wallo he had previously sworn off sequels.
“I told myself I was done with sequels,” he explained, adding, “I was like, ‘I’ve made enough sequels. I got some new things I want to make.'”
Despite his initial reluctance, the timing of the offer and the size of the deal appear to have made him reconsider.
Smith hinted that if he accepts, filming wouldn’t begin until after his summer tour, which runs from June 25 through September 2.
Sony is reportedly eager to redeem itself after the underwhelming reception of 2019’s Men in Black: International, which did not feature Smith or his longtime co-star Tommy Lee Jones.

Chris Brown’s $500 Million Battle Over ‘Sexual Abuser’ Accusation Heats Up in Court
Chris Brown has experienced a number of controversies and legal issues throughout his career.
Brown’s $500 million lawsuit against the producers behind a documentary that labeled him a “serial rapist and sexual abuser” heated up in court this week, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Ample, the company that produced the documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence that aired on Discovery earlier this year, along with Warner Bros., which owns Discovery, fired back at Chris’ lawsuit.
The producers denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Ample and Warner Bros,, along with one of the individual producers, argued free speech as their defense.
Their lawyer argued, “[Chris’] claims are barred, in whole or in part, to the extent that any statements and/or alleged implications that form the basis for the claims could be interpreted as asserting verifiable facts, those facts are not materially false and/or are substantially true.”
In addition, the producers said, “Plaintiff’s claims are barred, in whole or in part, because he is a public figure and Defendants did not publish any false statement or implication about him with constitutional actual malice.”
The producers denied Chris, 35, “suffered emotional distress as a result of their actions.”
The defendants demanded the entire suit be tossed and Chris be on the hook for their legal fees.
Back in January, Chris filed a bombshell lawsuit demanding a nine-figure judgment for the alleged defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Chris said Discovery aired the documentary on October 27, 2024, despite being put on notice by his legal team they were “promoting and publishing false information in their pursuit of likes, clicks, downloads and dollars to the detriment of Chris Brown.”
His suit alleged, “They did so after being provided proof that their information was false, and their storytelling ‘Jane Doe’ had not only been discredited over and over but was in fact a perpetrator of intimate partner violence and aggression herself.”
Chris’ lawyer added, “Mr. Brown has never been found guilty of any sex related crime (rape, sexual battery, sexual assault etc.) but this documentary states in every available fashion that he is a serial rapist and sexual abuser.”
He accused the alleged victim, who used the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” along with the producers, of completely disregarding the facts “In an attempt for fame and fortune, all at a cost of Chris Brown and the reputation he has worked diligently in redeeming over the last decade.”
Chris said he has acknowledged and addressed his past mistakes, and has grown from those experiences.
The singer said the documentary featured several accusers who had been proven to be making up stuff.
He said one of the women in the documentary brought a “frivolous” lawsuit against him in 2022, where her claims were determined to be “entirely fabricated,” which led to her legal team dropping her and the case being dismissed.
He said producers portrayed her as credible and ignored her established “lack of veracity.”
Chris said despite the producers being put on notice, they persisted in releasing the film.
“By doing so, the defendants have demonstrated a blatant disregard for journalistic integrity and truth. Their actions exhibit actual malice, as they prioritized profit over facts, ignoring public available court records and other credible evidence.”
Chris claimed the statements made by one accuser claiming he raped her was defamatory.
Other statements he took issue with included: Chris Brown has a “predisposition for punching women in the fact” and any accusation he manipulated or deleted texts when he provided evidence to the police regarding Jane Doe.

In a recent interview, Robinson, 58, said that she always wanted to be a “road girl,” and said that she and En Vogue member, Terry Ellis, would choose to go on 24 hour bus trips.
In the interview, Robinson said that “people don’t know the freedom of what it is.” She went on to explain that in her car she has a foldable twin mattress. “From the outside, the perception is that it’s a very small compact car, and it’s not. Inside, it’s very roomy,” she said during her interview.
Robinson also highlighted the difficulties she faces from living in her car, such as not having a place to cook and daily grooming. “It’s really just every day having to go into the gym and shower there as opposed to just walking into your own bathroom at home,” she said.

Produced by Peele himself, they’ve just unveiled the first poster for Him, a new sports-focused horror film starring Marlon Wayans as a legendary but aging football quarterback who takes a new player under his wing. The film is set to hit theaters this fall.
The poster simply features a football displayed in a glass case, with blood dripping off its seemingly pristine leather. She describes the severe impact menopause had on her life, saying, “When I was going through menopause, I could not sleep for two years. I could not concentrate. I could not read my favorite books. I had heart palpitations. No one told me about this. Now we’re talking about it, so no woman suffers,” Winfrey wrote on Facebook.
“The worst part for me, this is when I knew I was really in trouble, is when I couldn’t concentrate reading,” she revealed to ABC News, noting that estrogen treatment eventually helped her regain focus.
Unlike typical menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, Winfrey experienced less-discussed signs like heart palpitations, which she initially didn’t connect to menopause due to a lack of awareness.
“When I was going through it, there was nothing. There was nobody,” she said, emphasizing the isolation she felt.
The symptoms became so severe for Winfrey that she had to stop leading her popular book club.
“I brought [the book club] back when I started taking estrogen because I could concentrate again, but I actually never shared that before, that the real reason I had to stop it is because I could no longer concentrate. It makes me want to cry,” she shared.
