Cosmopolitan UK is kicking off a new decade of magazine covers in a major way. For its January 2020 issue, the British fashion magazine will feature Queer Eye’s beloved grooming pro Jonathan Van Ness. According to JVN, who identifies as non-binary and uses male pronouns, it’s the first time in 35 years that the magazine has had someone who isn’t a woman on the cover.
If this is any indication of what the next decade of fashion media looks like, we’re here for it—especially because Van Ness looks like a sherbet dream, wearing a delectable custom Christian Siriano peach-colored gown, athletic socks, and Nike running sneakers. Siriano has made a name for himself largely by creating clothing for people usually ignored by major designers, so it’s a match made in heaven.
And considering the way JVN continues to push the boundaries of what it is to be non-binary (like his inclusive partnership with nail polish brand, Essie), we love to see it. In an interview with Out magazine last June, JVN explained that even though he uses “he/him” pronouns, he does not identify as a man. “Like, some days I feel like a man, but then other days I feel like a woman,” he said. “I think my energies are really all over the place. Any opportunity I have to break down stereotypes of the binary, I am down for it, I’m here for it.” Now, Van Ness is doing just that on the January 2020 cover of Cosmopolitan UK.
“My body is ready,” the reality star captioned the picture of his cover on Instagram. “First non-female cover star of Cosmopolitan UK in 35 years,” he wrote.

It's been a rocky road for Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple had a whirlwind 2018 that included a pregnancy announcement and an engagement. Things took a turn for the heartbreaking in 2019, however, when the pair broke up following the bombshell news that McKinley had cheated on Williams while she was pregnant with their daughter, Pilar Jhena, 9 months. (McKinley's infidelity was revealed on the Bravo reality staple.)
The couple called it quits in June, but were back together by August. And now, Williams has confirmed that they are, indeed, re-engaged.
In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the reality star told host Andy Cohen, "We're still working it out. We really are. We are re-engaged."
"We are working on our family," the 38-year-old added. Then, Cohen—who had just played a recap video of the cheating drama that unfolded on the show—asked Williams the all-important question. As he said, "Do you trust him?"

Williams' answer was not a yes. As she revealed, "We're working on our family. It takes time. I love him, and he loves me. And we're doing what's best for our family."
As the star added, "That's really all you can do."
While Williams seemed confident in her response to Cohen, she did make it clear that rebuilding the trust with her fiancé will be an ongoing journey.
As the Real Housewives executive producer said, "You're working on the trust." Williams responded, "Absolutely. Yeah, you have to have trust."
On a lighter note, a fan later asked the reality star if she and McKinley know when their wedding will go down. "Not yet, but it will be next year," she revealed. "But we don't have a set date yet."
She also confirmed that her engagement ring, which fans noticed she started wearing again when she and McKinley got back together this summer, is the same ring he originally proposed with and then demanded she give back.
"Yes, the same ring," Williams admitted, adding with a laugh, "And that was shady, but yes."

According to the official synopsis for "Empire" season 6 episode 10 on SpoilerTV, Cookie and Lucious are walking towards the end of their relationship. This episode marks the end of an era that saw the birth of Empire Entertainment. At this moment Cookie is flustered with Lucious, for he is still not able to accept that their relationship has run its course. The troubled couple has been struggling with issues. With her growing popularity as the hottest show host, her relationship with her husband has gone southward. Even though there is no love lost, but the romance is. And sometimes that is enough to make things fall apart as in the case of Cookie and Lucious.
Meanwhile, ASA nominations boycott Bossy which forces them to allow Melody take over their performance slot at the ASA's. This makes Tiana question her choices over the past few months. The show sheds light on Teri and Andre's storyline, too. The two will exchange some verbal blows as Teri confronts him about the lies he has been telling. As the New Year approaches, Jill Scott is gearing up to perform one of her most poignant albums, Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1. Her debut soundscape will celebrate its 20th anniversary on July 18, 2020, but the Philly native will prepare fans for its birthday way ahead of schedule.
The "Gettin' in the Way" vocalist will embark on a U.S. tour beginning February 7 in Kansas City, Mo., and commence in Columbia, South Carolina, before returning to the road for a summer tour edition. In a statement issued to Billboard, Scott described the album as "sistah strong yet vulnerable and filled with love" due to its presentation of "honest stories and timing." Tickets hit the market on Dec. 6.
The "A Long Walk" singer continued to state that this tour will gift fans the opportunity to see her perform the album in its entirety. “I’m going to be true to the album setlist. I’ll do every song in the order of the album. My audience should bring their cd covers. Some may know the list by heart," Scott said. "I will create musical arrangements for the songs purposed with new energy but keep the integrity of the original songs they love. Expect theatre. Expect incredible musicianship. Expect love.” Upon its release, the album reigned at No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

T.I. is defending Nipsey Hussle’s honor.
The Atlanta kingpin took to Instagram in defense of his late friend after Wack 100, who manages Blueface, The Game, and Ray J, said that Nipsey is not worthy of being called a “legend.”
“How many albums did Nipsey drop? One album. This not no personal shit I’m talking about. It’s just real shit,” he told TMZ. “The man died with a million followers, no radio hits, no platinum hits, right? No world tours, right? After he died, he went platinum, sold a bunch of records, followers went up 9-10 million. We gotta define what a legend is and what a legend ain’t.”
But Tip begs to differ. He posted a screenshot of the definition of “legend” and offered his own explanation as to why the Crenshaw rapper is of legendary status.
“This shit say Nipsey all over it,” said Tip. “Record sales and #1 hits ain’t the only barometer for legendary status. IMPACT is what’s important. Although his notoriety DID grow exponentially more after his demise… his impact is undeniable. #HadToBeSaid.”
#DEVELOPING: Kamala Harris Drops Out Of Presidential Race!
Sen. Kamala Harris, pictured at a Democratic presidential forum in Los Angeles in November, is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race.
California Sen. Kamala Harris is dropping out of the presidential race, citing a lack of funds. She informed staff of her decision on a conference call and later sent an email to supporters, in which she wrote "my campaign for president simply doesn't have the financial resources we need to continue."
"I'm not a billionaire," she added. "I can't fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it's become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete."
Harris's campaign has struggled to bring in the kind of blockbuster money some other candidates have raised, and, in recent weeks, she had to lay off staff and shut campaign offices.
Harris had entered the Democratic presidential primary with high expectations. She now drops out, exactly two months before the Iowa caucuses.
Harris' rise and fall was particularly dramatic in a crowded field where many candidates have struggled to break out. She raked in a number of endorsements and more than 20,000 people attended her kickoff speech in Oakland, Calif.
Over the summer, Harris made headlines and entered the top tier after taking on former Vice President Joe Biden in a debate, criticizing him for his opposition to mandated school busing in the 1970s.
But Harris, who tried to stake out a middle ground on "Medicare for All," struggled to find support in a polarized primary electorate.
The most recent national polling average indicated her support was hovering around 3%.
Still, Harris was one of only seven candidates to qualify for the December debate. At the moment, no other non-white candidate has qualified for the debate stage, meaning that after a historically diverse field of candidates entered the Democratic primary race, the next debate may likely consist of all white candidates.

Terry Crews has broken his silence on Gabrielle Union’s shocking firing from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”
And some aren’t satisfied with the tweet from Terry Crews, who is the host of the show.
Rumors have swirled that Gabrielle Union was fired after producers and NBC viewed her as problematic. She reportedly spoke up about Simon Cowell smoking indoors, took issue with guest judge Jay Leno’s alleged joke about the Asian community, and was told that her hair was “too black” amid other things. While other celebrities have intentionally stood by Gabrielle Union, Terry Crews’ response doesn’t seem to be enough for her fans.
He responded to Union’s statement on the ordeal and wrote on Nov. 28,
“You’re the best, Gabrielle! You will be missed!”
The tweet also comes after Union supported Crews when he accused a Hollywood head of inappropriately touching him.

Chicago’s Head Of Police (Eddie Johnson) Fired By Mayor Lightfoot For Lying To Her!
*Looks like somebody done effed up and pissed off the mayor. That “somebody” is Chicago police chief Eddie Johnson and the pissed-off mayor is Lori Lightfoot.
So, as of now, Eddie Johnson is no longer the police chief or Police Superintendent as he was formally (and formerly) known because Mayor Lightfoot fired him on Monday.
That’s right. Lightfoot took the dramatic step of canning Johnson with less than a month before he was due to retire … for allegedly lying about falling asleep in his car after ‘a few drinks’ in October.
At a press conference, a furious Mayor Lightfoot accused Johnson of deliberately “misleading” her, the city and the police department about his claims in October.
As was reported then, Johnson was found asleep behind the wheel of his car on October 17 at 12:30am after a member of the public called 911.
When an officer approached him, he blamed his drowsiness on a mix-up with medication he was taking and said he had had a “few” drinks at dinner.
He then gave the mayor the same story and said he had pulled over because it was the responsible thing to do. Johnson subsequently announced he would be retiring in December.
Hmm, apparently the mayor was suspicious of Johnson’s story and after conducting an investigation into the incident which included reviewing surveillance footage of the night in question, Mayor Lightfoot came to the conclusion that Johnson lied about the incident.
Interestingly, though, she is refusing to supply details of how she came to her conclusion, saying she wanted to protect his wife and children, but she did say it amounted to conduct that was “unbecoming” of his position.
“It has become clear that Mr. Johnson engaged in a series of ethical lapses that are intolerable.
“Mr. Johnson was intentionally dishonest with me and communicated a narrative replete with false statements regarding material aspects of the incident that happened in the early morning hours of October 17.
“Had I known all the facts at the time, I would have relieved him of his duties as superintendent then and there,” she said.
Lightfoot, once an ally of Johnson’s – added: “The old Chicago way must give way to the new reality.
“There must be no mistake about the message I am sending today.”
Again, Johnson was only weeks away from retiring.
‘Slave Play’ attendee accuses playwright Jeremy O. Harris of racism against white people
A white theatergoer accused the black playwright behind Broadway’s “Slave Play” of being “racist against white people” following a performance.
A source said that at a recent Q&A after the show, “A woman took offense to the ‘You are a virus’ line in the show” — in which a black character asserts that her white, British partner is infected with the history of racism like a virus — “and during the last few minutes of the talk-back proceeded to yell that she was offended, the play was racist toward white people, and she felt marginalized as a white person.”

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes was mistaken for a drag queen doppelgänger, Tiffany Fantasia, when she popped into South Beach, Fla., drag hot spot the Palace, Page Six is told.
“A group of tipsy boys shouted, ‘You’d better work it, Tiffany T. Fantasia!’ But it was NeNe,” a spy told us. “She entered and played it off like a true diva. She walked in with a fierce walk and winked at the table.”
We’re told the reality star was swarmed with “selfie requests” from fans once revelers realized she was the Bravo star and not the world-renowned drag artist. Leakes has frequented the bar with Andy Cohen.
Remy Ma’s Charges Dropped In Brittney Taylor Assault Case!
Remy Ma is officially off the hook in her assault case after a judge decided to drop the charges.
On Monday, the rapper appeared before the court to address the looming assault charges for allegedly punching her “Love and Hip Hop” castmate, Brittney Taylor, in the face. However, during the hearing, prosecutors said they couldn’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Remy committed the crime; and since there was no video evidence or witnesses to back Taylor’s claims, the judge dismissed the case entirely, TMZ reports.
The charges stemmed from an April incident, in which Remy allegedly punched Tayor in the right eye while backstage at a Benefit Concert in NYC. Initially, the rapper was booked for misdemeanor assault, but after further investigation, prosecutors slapped Remy with 4 charges, including two counts of assault, 1 count of aggravated harassment, and another count of harassment in the 2nd degree.
However, as the legal battle continued, Remy maintained her innocence, and now, it appears her persistence has paid off.
“Remy has always maintained her complete innocence as she never laid a hand on her celebrity-obsessed, clout chasing, credibility challenged accuser,” Dawn Florio, Remy’s lawyer, told TMZ of Taylor. “Unfortunately, these manufactured allegations caused my client to suffer the indignities of having to wear an ankle monitor while having freedom limited by travel restrictions and an 8:00 PM curfew.”
“These restrictions have hurt my client’s ability to perform, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost income. District Attorney Vance’s office should be commended for its exercise of sound judgment in agreeing to dismiss these unwarranted charges.”
Remy celebrated the legal win with an Instagram post, writing, “This that “Case Dismissed” beat!”
Nick Foles responds to Jaguars benching him for Gardner Minshew!
Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles was benched against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking a dramatic turnaround since he was named the MVP of Super Bowl LII with the Philadelphia Eagles.
As the Philadelphia Eagles' season hovers on life support following Sunday's humiliating 37-31 loss to the Miami Dolphins, things aren't looking so bright for the team's former Super Bowl MVP.
Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles got benched during Sunday's home loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Foles fumbled twice, including once for a touchdown, and has generally played poorly since returning from a broken clavicle a few weeks ago. He signed a 4-year, $88 million deal this offseason, including $50.1 million in guarantees. The Jags are winless in the games he's started.
Fans in Jacksonville let Foles hear it from the stands on Sunday — specifically, that they wanted rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew to take over for him.
Foles was asked after Sunday's 28-11 loss how it felt to be pulled from the game. Via ESPN:
"It's not easy," Foles said of the benching. "This is not an easy game. Tough situation, but I'm going to continue to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving. Like I said before, it's a trial, and the trials keep coming. Not easy, but I know where my heart is and where my faith is and what I'm going to lean on in this time like I always do in the good and the bad.
"Never want to go through it. Difficult, but you know what? I'm going to look at the bright things and continue to keep my head held high and continue to keep moving forward."
Head coach Doug Marrone said he had not discussed the benching with Foles or Minshew following the loss. He said he made the move "it was kind of dead" in the stadium.
Minshew empathized with Foles. "It's tough," Minshew said. "I've been in the same situation. I've been booed off the field at [East Carolina], and it's not a place anybody should have to be in. There's so much love in that room. We all support each other."
As difficult of a season as it has been for Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Foles has not fared any better since leaving Philadelphia.
