Amber Rose Covers Cosmo (South Africa)
Amber Rose just nabbed a new magazine cover, gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan South Africa’s October 2016 issue. The “How To Be A B*tch” author, who’s Cape Verdean – a nation that sits off the coast of Africa, has never shunned away from her stripper past. But, she still doesn’t understand why she’s always put down about her stripper past when other celebrities have done the exact same thing.
Former male strippers-turned-actors like Channing Tatum don’t face the scrutiny that Amber faces. And she says it’s because of society’s double standards.
The 32-year-old businesswoman told the publication:
“He [Channing] even made a movie about being a stripper! And everyone bought it and they loved it and they were like, ‘Oh, my God, ‘Magic Mike’, we gotta go see it!’ But if I did that, people would tell me I was disgusting. I run eight businesses, I’m the CEO of my own company, and still I’m called a stripper. It’s so ridiculous. We’ve had the same life, [Channing] and I, and I’m dumbed down for it. It’s not his fault – it’s just society.”
Good point.
The budding actress, who shares a son with rapper Wiz Khalifa and once dated Kanye West, said she’s more than just a former stripper. She’s a business woman building her empire and she’s working her a** to do it. She said,
“Everything I’ve done; I’ve worked hard for. Anyone can have fame, but I’ve started companies. I’ve brought my brand to the next level. Nobody did that but me. No one is going to dim my light.”
Well good for her.
While she’s often shamed for her past, Amber says stripping was the “best f***ing time of my life.” Amber and her bestie Blac Chyna sat down to dish on being strippers in the past on Playi.it’s Loveline podcast.
“They’ll frown on the girl dancing at the strip club. I’ve made a point of that in my career a million times that Channing Tatum was a stripper, The Game was a stripper, and they are guys. No one says anything. But when it comes to me and Chyna, [people say] ‘They’re f***ing ho’s they’re f****ing gold diggers, they are only out for like money. Basically like we have no hearts, like we don’t fall in love with these people.”

Since selling the home with her estranged husband Peter Thomas, Cynthia Bailey has now bought a beautiful lake house just outside Atlanta.
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star is now single and judging by her new place, the reality star will have plenty of space to mingle and chill.
Cynthia put down $960k for the six bedroom, four bath home, according to TMZ. The bathrooms are elegant and stylish. Again it is adorned with white marble and silver taps.
The dock has a stunning view of the lake and the greenery. A little deck chair and table make the outdoor area complete.
The house is located in the forest in a perfect hideaway spot on a lake with its own dock.
The 48-year-old has a very spacious kitchen, with gorgeous marble surfaces, a large stove and a little bar area with two bar stools.
#EMPIRE: Timbaland Leaves Empire, Rodney Jerkins and Ester Dean Board
Cue that baby crying in Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody." Billboard reports that Timbaland, who has led the songwriting team at Fox's Empire since the show's beginning, has left the show. In his stead for the third season will be the four-time Grammy Award–winning producer/songwriter Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and songwriter Ester Dean.
Jerkins, who is best known for working on songs like "The Boy Is Mine" and "Deja Vu," will take on the role as the supervising music producer, and Dean will be the songwriter. You would recognize Dean onscreen as Cynthia-Rose from Pitch Perfect, and behind the scenes she has written songs like Beyoncé's "Countdown," Rihanna's "S&M," and Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass." Also joining the team are Johntá Austin, Makeba Riddick, and Jesse St. John. Ne-Yo, who joined the songwriting team last year, is returning along with J.R. Rotem. This is the team that will be behind Mariah Carey's duet with Jussie Smollett, where she will make it go drip-drop, drip-drip-drippity-drop.
Listen: Usher Releases New Album ‘Hard II Love’ Early on TIDAL
Surprise! Usher has dropped his much-anticipated new album Hard II Love a few days early, exclusively on TIDAL.
Formerly titled Flawed, the R&B superstars eighth studio LP was expected to be released worldwide on Friday, Sept. 16, but TIDAL subscribers can get an early listen now.
On Monday night, Usher and TIDAL held an exclusive listening event at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. During the playback the singer revealed that the 15-track album was made with a specific vision in mind.
“I really did cater this album to men, specifically men who don’t think love is cool to do,” he told Real 92.3’s Big Boy.
Usher also revealed that the labor of love took approximately three years to finalize, which helps explain the album title change. “I went through an entire transformation as a man,” he added. “I don’t want to be ‘Flawed’ anymore. I might be ‘Hard II Love,’ but we all are.”
Part of that transformation allowed him to make songs with range. “Tell Me,” for instance, is a self-proclaimed baby-making anthem, while the somber “Stronger” deals with the death of his stepson, Kile Glover. “Though you’re gone, you still live in my mind,” he sings.
The follow-up to 2012’s Looking 4 Myself, features guest appearances from Young Thug (“No Limit”) and Future (“Rivals”), as well as contributions from Pharrell (“FWM”), Metro Boomin (“Make U a Believer”), Bibi Bourelly (“Hard II Love”), The-Dream and Tricky Stewart (“Bump”), and Raphael Saadiq (“Champions”).

Hip Hop News; Snoop Dogg To Be Honored At 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards
Snoop Dogg will be honored with the “I Am Hip Hop” award at the 11th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards.
According to Billboard, BET said on Tuesday that Snoop will receive the award Saturday, during the taped event at the Cobb Energy Performing Centre near Atlanta.
“Congratulations @SnoopDogg! You’re #TheGoat,” the network wrote on Twitter.
Under the guidance of Dr. Dre, the Long Beach rapper got his start in the rap game – releasing his 1993 debut album Doggystyle, which featured “Gin and Juice” and “What’s My Name?” He then went on to release a number of hits including “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” ”Beautiful” and “Sensual Seduction.”
The show will air on BET on Oct. 4.

Kendu Isaacs to Mary J Blige: BISH, I want your Money!
Now we know why Mary J. stated specifically in her divorce papers that she wants to prevent estranged husband-manager Martin "Kendu" Isaacs from getting any of her money. Kendu has already filed papers to do exactly that. Not only is he demanding the "No More Drama" singer to pay all HIS lawyer fees in the divorce, he says he's entitled to spousal support. That's definitely more than his entitled 10% (or whatever) as manager.

He's asking Mary to fork it over, but in her docs Mary said she wants the court to block him from getting it.
Kendu lists July 25th as the date of separation, even though she said it was "to be determined." It's interesting because all their assets could be shared up until that date, and Mary's clearly the breadwinner. It's still unclear if they have a prenup.
The last time they were seen publicly together in an official capacity was at the end of February at Elton John's Oscar viewing party.
Mary better guard her coin. We already know what type of bank account struggle happened after that "crispy chicken" KFC debacle and all those lawsuits. Now that she's back in a good place money wise, she's working to keep her money on lock.

Rihanna Says Nigerian Promoter Suing Her Was Scammed By Fake Reps: I don’t owe you ANYTHING!
Rihanna is demanding the $660k lawsuit accusing her of screwing over a Nigeria concert promoter be thrown out. She says that she wasn’t even aware of the scheduled show and wasn’t paid a dime from the money, and the man suing was clearly duped by fake reps.
Here’s the latest: The pop star, Jay-Z and his label headed to court to fire back at the lawsuit explaining she was never paid for the alleged performance. Rihanna says that the other defendants in the lawsuit apparently swindled Ubosi and his company into wiring a total of $160k to secure her for the Nigeria concert. However, she says this lawsuit has nothing to do with her and is entirely frivolous since she did nothing wrong.
The singer points out she can’t be held liable for the scam the other men alleged pulled on Ubosi and blasts the lawsuit, claiming that he is just trying to recoup his losses.
Rihanna says Ubosi clearly got swindled by the men claiming to represent her. She claims she was never paid and never agreed to perform at the concert. The singer, Jay-Z and Roc Nation are demanding the $660k lawsuit against them be thrown out of court.
According to docs filed in the case, Jay-Z’s counsel has threatened to have the plaintiff sanctioned if he doesn’t withdraw his claims against Rihanna and the label.
Here’s the backstory: Earlier this year, a man named Chris Ubosi and his company Megalectrics filed suit against Rihanna and Jay-Z & Roc Nation in New York Court.
The man claimed he booked Rihanna to perform in Nigeria in 2013. Ubosi said he worked out a deal with 2 people claiming to represent the singer. The contract stated she would be paid $425k for an hour show.
Prior to the scheduled May 2013 concert, the man claimed to have made 3 payments to the representative totaling $160k. Following the payments he was told by the rep that she would have to postpone the show and he agreed as long as she posted the new date on her social media
Ubosi filed suit against Rihanna and Jay-Z demanding the return of the $160k he paid and $500k in other damages.
