Kevin Hart is Ripped for Men’s Fitness!

From funnyman to totally fit and muscular man! Kevin Hart hasn’t been playing any games when it comes to new fitness lifestyle. And now, he’s enjoying the fruits of his labor.  And dude is ripped.

The Ride Along 2 star is gracing two covers for the October 2016 issue of Men’s Fitness magazine, showing off his ripped and shredded physique. Who would have thought the short, scrawny comedian we met years ago would turn into this fitness fanatic with an incredible bod?

If you follow Kevin on Snap, then you KNOW he never takes a day off. No matter what he has going on that particular day, he MAKES time to get his butt in the gym before he does anything. Also, eh's currently filming Jumanji, but that hasn't stopped his grind. Those super early gym sessions are certainly paying off.

On Instagram, he expressed his excitement over the fitness cover saying, “Hard Work pays off....This was a unbelievable experience. Major thank you to @mensfitnessmag & my trainer @justtrain1 ....I am no where near done people. ‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Will Mariah Carey’s Character Kitty Feud With Cookie Lyon?

Cookie Lyon has quite a few enemies on “Empire,” but Mariah Carey’s new character Kitty won’t be one of them. Taraji P. Henson dished on the dynamic of Cookie and Kitty’s relationship in Season 3, revealing that there won’t be any beefing between the two ladies.

“No drama,” she told E! News. “Everybody thinks that, but no drama. She’s actually an ally of mine on the show.”

It was announced last month that Carey would be joining the Fox show in a guest role, making her one of several celebrities slated to appear. Other stars tapped for guest spots include Taye Diggs, French Montana, Romeo Miller, Birdman, Phylicia Rashad  and singer Sierra McClain. Carey’s “Empire” episode will air Oct. 5.

In an interview with “Extra” last month, Henson explained that Carey’s character is a close friend of hers. “She is a performer and she is helping Jamal (Jussie Smollett) get through his difficulties,” she said. The singer’s character Kitty will team up with Jamal for a duet and help him overcome post-traumatic stress disorder after he was shot towards the end of Season 2.

“She was great, she’s fabulous,” Henson said during the Television Critics Association in July about working with the “Obsessed” singer (via  Yahoo! TV ). “She’s beautiful to look at. She brings a sense of what Mariah brings to the music industry. She brought it to our show.”

Produced by famous rapper and producer Eric Sermon, the track brings a hip hop flavor reminiscent of their early days at the forefront of New Jack Swing.

The fellas ride out in their Rubicon Jeep Wrangler and perform in a photo studio, while sexy ladies dance for the cameras. Singing out to a girl that won’t seem to commit to love they alert her that they are tired of the games.

The group has also revealed their new album is titled, Three Stripes, and it is due out January 27, 2017. The release will perfectly coincide with the premiere of the BET biopic, “The New Edition Story,” which is set to air in early January.

Rick Ross gets strict on his block with his latest release, “No U-Turns.”

The loyalty-themed banger finds Rozay reflecting on the importance of brotherhood. “It ain’t no U-turns on the block,” he raps. “You switch sides, you better stay there.”

“No U-Turns” is likely a sign of things to come from the Epic Records MC. Last year, Renzel released the Black Dollar and Renzel Remixes mixtapes as well as his most recent album, Black Market.

This year, he’s reportedly been working on Self Made 4 with the rest of his Maybach Music Group family, but “No U-Turns” could also signify an upcoming solo effort.

RuPaul Wins First Emmy for RuPaul's Drag Race After Eight Seasons

RuPaul scored the first Emmy for RuPaul’s Drag Race, winning best reality TV host at Sunday night’s Creative Emmy Awards.

With his show in its eighth season, RuPaul won the Emmy over Ryan Seacrest (American Idol), Jane Lynch (for Hollywood Game Night’s), Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn (Project Runway), Steve Harvey (Little Big Shots) and Tom Bergeron (Dancing With the Stars), which is certainly a huge feat.

“Earlier this year I was quoted saying I’d rather have an enema than an Emmy,” RuPaul said in his acceptance speech. “But thanks to the Television Academy, I can have both!”

RuPaul later spoke to Yahoo backstage and took time to praise the contestants. “It’s really about the girls [contestants], all the 100 girls who have come through on this show who are so brilliant. I accept this for them,” he said. “The significance [of this award] is we hear the stories of 100 queens—actually now 112 queens—who get to tell their unique stories of survival. It’s so important for all the young people around the world who get to see this show to hear that there is a way for you to navigate this life.”

Tamar Braxton is one step closer to the premiere of her own talk show. Over the weekend, the reality star and singer, announced that her new talk show, The Tamar Braxton Show, is scheduled to air next September. A fan Instagram page posted a clip of her sharing the impromptu announcement.

The news was shared by Tamar, who attended an event with her family, in Atlanta called “New Thinking – New World Saturday”. This summer, fans were shocked to learn of Tamar’s departure from The Real. Shortly after the announcement was made, Tamar went on Steve Harvey’s radio show revealing that she was baffled that she had been fired. She also revealed that she had signed with Steve Harvey’s East 112th Street Productions company, where she will be working on her own talk show and TV series.

No additional details have been released!

Monica Opens Up About ‘So Gone Challenge’ Drama With Brandy On ‘The Real’ and Brandy Claps BACK!

The Real returns with its third season, and to kick things off, they sat down with Monica to talk the drama between her and Brandy.

In case you missed it, a fan reached out to Brandy on social media a few weeks ago, to ask if she would be participating in Monica’s “So Gone Challenge”  – and Brandy responded with “Chile Bye.” When Loni Love asked about the situation, Monica addressed it, saying:

Honestly, the old me and the new me are two different things. And this journey of self- progression and self- love and empowerment that I’m on, I can’t go backwards. I think that that was just a test from God for me and I’ve always thought that she was one of the most legendary people and has one of the most amazing voices in the runs and riffs. And I just think that it’s, some of it, has been blown out of proportion to a degree, but I can’t tell my kids to do something that I can’t do. So it was just a test for me to always just take the high road and know that in anything that happens in this life, if it’s meant for you, it’s yours. Nobody can stop it or stand in the way of it. So… I wasn’t bothered at all.

Then, when Loni asked if Monica if she’d ever work with Brandy again, she told her she is open to working with her, and explained why.

“It’s never been an easy situation, but the reason that I would do it, is because we are from a special elite group,” she said. “It was her, Aaliyah and myself. And it was a very special time where each of us were individuals, we did our own thing and we all made our own mark. And the truth and reality is the only Grammy either of us has is together. So that to me says something special. So yeah, I absolutely would.”

Well Brandy saw it as something else as shown by her #hashtags with The Real in capital letters.

TENS or CHOPS? Lupita Nyong’o in Carolina Herrera at TIFF ‘Katwe’ premiere

Here are some photos from the TIFF premiere of Queen of Katwe, the new Disney film based on the true story of a young, female chess prodigy from Uganda. The film got great reviews at TIFF (more on that in a moment), and there’s even some Oscar buzz, which makes me happy. Lupita Nyong’o plays the chess prodigy’s single mother, and David Oyelowo plays the missionary who teaches the young girl how to play chess, then coaches her through several international competitions. Mira Nair directed the film and Madina Nalwanga stars (in her first film) as the chess prodigy, Phiona Mutesi.

For the premiere, Lupita got the most attention, which is… smart, I think. They’re selling this film mostly on Lupita’s name, and partially on David Oyelowo’s name since the young Madina is such an unknown. Lupita stole the red carpet in this stunning and bright Carolina Herrera gown with a matching head wrap. I’ve said before that I love it when Lupita wears her hair really short, because then all you can see is her beautiful face. The head wrap does the same thing as short hair – all I can see is her gorgeous face. Lupita also accessorized her Herrera look with $600,000 worth of jewels from Tiffany’s. She wore “tanzanite and diamond earrings, worth $29,000, a $270,000 sapphire and diamond ring, and an 8-carat yellow diamond ring that costs $325,000.”

Do you Remember The Cabbage Patch Kids cereal?

The 80s were the golden era of cereal and absolutely anything that was even a little popular got its own cereal. So of course, since the Cabbage Patch Kids were the Kings of the toy stroll and people were trading their internal organs for one back then (I am 100% sure that happened), they got their own cereal in 1985. I don’t think that  Cabbage Patch Kids cereal tasted like cabbage or kids, but they did brag that it was good for children compared to the other cereals, because it was low in sugar. But what in lacked in sugar it made up for in NIGHTMARES. Cabbage Patch Kids cereal was made up of tiny little flower-shaped faces that smiled back at you as you killed them with your teeth before swallowing down butchered-up pieces of their heads.

Okay, I take back what I said about Cabbage Patch Kids cereal not being made of kids. I can’t say for sure that the souls of the Cabbage Patch Kids weren’t trapped in those crispy bits.

And as parents watched their children eat those little happy faces while sitting next to a Cabbage Patch Kid, they probably swallowed down a second serving of their breakfast (read: benzos), because you need to be medicated to deal with that scary scene so early in the morning

The Weeknd Says New Album Is His ‘Best-Sounding’

The Weeknd graces the cover of VMAN’s Fall/Winter 2016 issue.

Highlighted by red and purple hues on one cover and blurred by smoke in another, Abel opens up about his much-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s Grammy Award winning sophomore album, Beauty Behind the Madness, which is expected to be released next year.

“I’ve been very intrigued by the film Amadeus,” said The Weeknd. “I’ll touch on my relationship with religion a little bit and how it ties into my crazy and materialistic life. I’ll touch base on some recent experiences and past experiences that didn’t make the last album.

“I wrote some of these songs while recording Beauty Behind the Madness,” he added. “It’s like a fictional book inspired by true events.”

The photographs in VMAN were shot by Inez & Vinoodh. Meanwhile, Mel Ottenberg styled the shoot, which features smoke, motion, and a contemplative Weeknd.

On his next album: “There are new inspirations on this album. The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.”

On Ethiopia’s influence: “You hear it mostly in my voice. I’ve been told my singing isn’t conventional. Ethiopian music was the music I grew up on, artists like Tilahun Gessesse, Aster Aweke, and Mahmoud Ahmed. These are my subconscious inspirations. ‘The Hills’ was the first time you actually heard the Ethiopian language in my music. It will definitely be key on this next record.”

On fame: “Being anonymous had its perks, but it feels great to be recognized for all of the work we’ve put out.”

On Beyoncé’s “6 Inch”: “It feels great seeing the character of a powerful woman be sexy, yet take matters into her own hands and not feel so helpless.”

On Beauty Behind the Madness: “Even though I’ve been putting out bodies of work for years, Beauty Behind the Madness felt like the beginning. My purpose is to make exciting music, and I feel like I’ll be doing that for the rest of my life, so there’s no pressure. Nothing is stopping me from doing what I love to do.”

On Black Lives Matter: “I promised myself that I would never tweet or talk about politics and focus on the music, but I was just so bewildered that we lost more of our people to these senseless police shootings. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that there are people who can’t or won’t see what Black Lives Matter is trying to accomplish. I wish I could make music about politics. I feel like it’s such an art and a talent that I admire tremendously, but when I step into the studio I step out of the real world, and it’s therapeutic. It’s an escape, but recently it’s been very hard to ignore, and it’s also been very distracting. Maybe you’ll hear it in my voice, but it is not my forté.”

#RHoA: NeNe Leakes Financial Troubles Worsen, Reality Star Tax Debt Rises to $900k

Lordt! reality star NeNe Leakes’ financial troubles continue to worsen. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is now being accused of refusing to pay up on $86k in state taxes — this is after it was uncovered that the IRS is on the hunt for her assets due to a $830k unpaid tax bill.

The State of California filed a tax lien against NeNe – real name Linnethia Monique Leakes – on June 2nd. The official document states the RHOA star owes them a total of $86,624 in taxes, which was filed to begin the process of collecting on the debt. This could include the State of California seizing her assets and property to collect on their money.

One month later, the IRS filed a Federal Tax lien against NeNe in Georgia. It accused her of refusing to cough up on $830k she owed for 2014. The lien is active and has yet to be paid off despite the reality star

2014 was a big money-making year for the BRAVO star,  where she appeared on the 18th season of Dancing with the Stars (where she placed 7th), announced the launch of The Nene Leakes Collection on HSN and in November of that year, she made her debut on Broadway in ‘Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella’.

The reality star made headlines earlier this year,  when it was reported that she would not be appearing on the upcoming 9th season of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

NeNe was an original cast member and starred on the reality show for 7 seasons. She was featured as a “friend” of the housewives last season but reportedly did not reach a deal with the network or producers to come back for Season 9.

Empire Season 3 Spoilers: Taraji P. Henson Confirms Cookie’s Death?

There will be one character who will die in Empire Season 3, which will premiere on Fox on Sept. 21. Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie Lyon, recently confirmed this.

During an interview with Extra on the Empire Season 3 set in Chicago, Henson was asked how everyone found about a character’s demise. She said, “They send us the script and then everybody’s calling each other like, ‘What? What? What?’ And then you have to wait till September 21.”

Henson did not reveal the character who will not make it alive to Empire Season 4. Dodging the question, she talked about Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon on the Fox musical drama series created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. Howard and wife Mira Pak recently gave birth to their second child Hero Howard. Their first child Qrin Love Howard was born on May 7, 2015.

Henson confirmed that her Empire co-star is doing great. She also commented that she does not know where he finds the energy that he has as he goes home every weekend to see his two sons.

New Music: Alicia Keys – ‘Back to Life’ 

Alicia Keys is taking no days off. In between her new role on “The Voice” and prepping her sixth album for release this fall, the R&B songstress unleashes “Back to Life,” a new song from Disney’s upcoming film Queen of Katwe.

Over inspirational strings, the “Girl on Fire” belts out a moving ode to resilience. “I’m just trying to hold onto a dream,” she sings. “Out here lost and nothing’s what it seems / I’m just trying to find where I belong / This must be the dark before the dawn.”

Queen of Katwe, the story of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi, stars David Oyelowo, Lupita Nyong’o, and Madina Nalwanga, and arrives in theaters Sept. 23.

New Hip Hop; New Music: DeJ Loaf – ‘Snakes’ 

DeJ Loaf celebrates Labor Day weekend by liberating more music. Fresh off her remix to Erykah Badu’s “Phone Down,” the Detroit rapper calls out the “Snakes” on her latest jam, produced by YOG$.

“The closest ones ain’t who they say / Envy, jealousy, hate / Gotta get them out the way before it’s too late,” warns DeJ, while spitting raps about her mama, money (“I dun made money, but I never let the money make me”), and fashion (“I wear nothing basic”).

DeJ has been in the studio working on her debut album. According to the SoundCloud description, the project is “coming soon.”

A source in production for the NBC singing competition show told RadarOnline that Keys’ au natural look is far from easygoing since she demands perfection in the editing room.

"Alicia is annoying everyone with her whole makeup thing because it really has an impact on the entire production,” the insider said. “She looks washed out and the camera and lighting operators need to adjust everything just for her."

The source added that "Alicia is acting like she is a special judge and that everyone needs to cater to her and it is just not tolerable.”

“Orange is the New Black” actress Laverne Cox is flexing her modelling skills as she transforms into her personal superheroines for Cosmopolitan magazine.

The upcoming "Rocky Horror Picture Show" star pays tribute to a few female icons, including Beyonce, Tina Turner and model Tracey Africa.

The EMMY nominee, who will present at this year’s awards, says Mrs. Carter inspires her to keep on going even when she doesn’t feel like it.

 

"Beyoncé represents excellence,” says Laverne. “Her work ethic is like nobody else I've ever seen. There were so many moments when I was shooting Rocky Horror, and I'd be exhausted. My body would be hurting, and I'd be like, 'Beyoncé. Beyoncé does this.' You have to just put in the work."

Channing Tatum Previews Magic Mike Live On Ellen

Ellen DeGeneres kicked off Season 14 of her long-running talk show with style. The 58-year-old host corralled Olympian Simone Biles, Oprah Winfrey and Channing Tatum for opening day. As if the latter wasn’t enough hotness to go around. Channing brought his sexy stable of boys along with him. 

Tatum, along with the Magic Mike film franchise choreographer Alison Faulk, are bringing the hit film to Sin City. They will recreate the mythical Club Domina inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The show promises to feature “sexy and daring themed dance and strip routines punctuated by one of a kind acts from a wildly diverse cast of performers.”

If the actual show is half as sizzling as the preview on Ellen, consider my ticket to Las Vegas booked.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have reportedly split after summer romance

Well, that was over Hiddleswiftly. Pop star Taylor Swift and her actor boyfriend Tom Hiddleston have called it quits after a three month romance, according to People. No word on if they're ever, ever getting back together.

The affectionately dubbed "Hiddleswift" seemed inseparable when they began dating in June but, in fact, everything has changed. 

The split was reportedly "amicable." Public fascination with the couple may have contributed to the breakup, according to Us Weekly.

The couple's romance was initially confirmed after British tabloid The Sun published photographs of Swift, 26 and Hiddleston, 35, looking like a couple from a Nicholas Sparks film while walking along the beach on June 14 in Westerly, Rhode Island -- just two weeks after the singer and musician Calvin Harris parted ways. 

Shortly after, Harris called out Swift on Twitter after she claimed she was the sole writer of his hit single, "This Is What You Came For."

"I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do," Harris wrote on Twitter, referring to Swift's relationship with Hiddleston.

Swift and Hiddleston outings over the summer were highly publicized. In June, Swift met Hiddleston's parents in the U.K. after Hiddleston met Swift's family in Nashville. The two took part in a big bash in Rhode Island in July where Hiddleston wore a much lambasted "I [heart] T.S." tank top.

Some critics of the couple questioned whether they were in it for the publicity.

Despite their steadfast position of authenticity, Swift and Hiddleston's breakup did not seem unexpected to many on social media Tuesday.

"Now there's the surprise of the century," tweeted Kia Makarechi, a story editor at Vanity Fair.

Others suggested titles for a possible new album Swift could write about the "Avengers" actor -- as the singer/song writer has been known to tap into her life experiences for lyrical inspiration.

"Taylor Swift announces forthcoming album, 'Thor Loser,'" tweeted Sam Adams, a writer for Slate.
