The Daily Buzz For Sept 25 ☕📰☕

Jennifer Lopez Says She's "in a Good Relationship For the First Time . . . Maybe Ever"
Cue the "aww"s, because Jennifer Lopez is speaking very candidly about her relationship with retired baseball player Alex Rodriguez. The 48-year-old is gracing the cover of Hola! USA's October/November issue, and in the interview, she refers to this period in her life as a "golden era." Could it have something to do with her new boyfriend? Based on what she said, we think yes!

"I'm in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first — I don't know — maybe ever," she said. "And not that I didn't have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I've been where I feel like we really make each other better. We complement each other, and there's really pure, true love. Just wanting to support the other person and make them happy. So there's a different selflessness in the love that's beautiful and different. And healthy!"
The couple started dating in February of this year after she made the first move. Since then, the two have vacationed in Paris, have spent time with each other's kids, and blew everyone away when they made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala.

In the interview, Jennifer also revealed more details about her upcoming album, Por Primera Vez. It marks her first Spanish-only album in 10 years, and she's once again partnering with her ex-husband Marc Anthony as one of her producers. Keep reading to see what she had to say about her new project and why she's in such a good place right now.
HOLA is on stands now!

#RHoA: What’s this SHADE? Wendy Williams Tells Kandi Burruss “This May Be Your Last Season” of ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’?
Wendy Williams is known not to mince words when it comes to conducting celebrity interviews. When reconciled girl group Xscape visited “The Wendy Williams Show,” Kandi Burruss offered insight on the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
When asked about the housewives, both current and returning alum, Kandi explained that Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak are back.

Other Georgia peaches include Shamea Morton and Marlo Hampton.
Of course Sheree Whitfield, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams are confirmed to come back. Put all those women in a room together you’ve got a recipe for a very good season that’s basically guaranteed to keep viewers eyes glued to the screen.
Kandi explained that there will be a lot of drama that, surprisingly, she’s staying out of.
That’s when Wendy chimed in to say “And that’s why this may be your last season.”
The comment definitely seemed a bit harsh, as you can see below by Kandi’s initial reaction, but they both agreed that Wendy sort of has a point.

Reality TV is definitely a guilty pleasure for some. Although it’s always good to see people handling business and enjoying life with their family, most watch for the drama.
Drama like Kandi had last season when she was accused of having a sex dungeon and trying to lure Porsha Williams into said dungeon.

The shocking allegations continued throughout multiple episodes until it was revealed at the reunion that it was none other than Kandi’s ex-best friend, Phaedra Parks, who was the source of the vile rumor.
Phaedra will not be returning, at least for now, but Porsha and Kandi’s friendship will never be the same.
The singer told Wendy during the sit-down: “Now I’m over it. Now I think it’s hilarious that to me that they would even tell people that and for Porsha to say she actually believe that I was like ‘Girl bye!’ It has actually put us in a place where, you know, we’re not on the best of terms.”

Do you think that Kandi will get the boot if she doesn’t have another juicy storyline?

#EMPIRE: 'Empire' Season 4 First Look Previews War and a "Different Side" of Lucious
(via THR) The stars of Fox's hip-hop drama preview what's to come, including Anika's jail stint.
The stars of Fox's hip-hop drama preview what's to come, including Anika's jail stint.
Get ready to see a new side of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) when Empire returns for season four.

Last viewers saw the tough and ruthless family patriarch, he was trying to turn over a new leaf and explore the world with his on-and-off love Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). However, their travel plans came to a screeching halt when Lucious was nearly killed in an explosion planned by his eldest son, Andre (Trai Byers).
The season ended with Lucious recovering in the hospital and struggling to remember his life before the accident.
Lucious' memory loss will unlock a "different side" of him going forward. "Maybe that's why someone like Cookie would fall in love so deeply with a man like that, because she was able to see the true him," star Jussie Smollett says in the video.

Adds showrunner Ilene Chaiken: "The depth of the relationship between Lucious and Cookie will be the most surprising thing to the fans when season four begins."
Andre's failed plan to take down his father results in a messy partnership with Shine (Xzibit), who helped him plot the unsuccessful hit. "He's going to have that to hold over Andre for a very, very long time," Smollett says.
Elsewhere in the land of Empire, it's rough going for Anika (Grace Byers) after she was arrested for the murder of Tariq Cousins in the season three finale. As Cookie says, "jail ain't for the weak."

However, the biggest development might be the brewing war between the Lyons and Dubois families after Cookie's relationship with Angelo (Taye Diggs) went up in smoke last year and left his political career in shambles.
Now, it will be "dangerous" matriarch Diana Dubois (Phylicia Rashad) pulling the strings. Warns Smollett, "This is the worst kind of war because they have no idea and the Duboises are infiltrating the very fabric of the empire," warns Smollett.
Those storylines all combine for a "complex" and "emotional" fourth season, in the works of Chaiken.
Check out the extended first look video below to hear new songs and see more fresh season four footage.

Empire returns in its new time slot Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. on Fox.

#NEWMUSIC from TANK – ‘SEXY’
Tank gives us one more taste of his upcoming album, Savage, which is due out Sept. 29.
His latest release is the aptly titled “Sexy,” which follows the provocative “F It Up,” the trap-n-B title track, and first single, “When We.”

Continuing with his bedroom soundscapes, the crooner praises his partner’s physique while offering pleasurable intimacy when she comes over.
“I’ve been thinking about you all day / Thinking about you feel like foreplay / I’ma do whatever you say (sexy),” he sings. “Been without going on 4 days / Don’t know how much that I’m gon’ take / If it’s mine than baby don’t play (sexy) / All I do is dream about the way you look when you ain’t got no makeup on (sexy) / All I do is wish you were here with me, and you ain’t never have to go home.”

Speaking with Tank exclusively during Essence Fest this past July, the R&B singer opened up about his forthcoming album. “We are savagely fighting for this space, we are aggressively injecting love back into the community,” said Tank. “I’m real happy about it. I’m happy that we are being aggressive, I’m happy that we are fighting, I’m happy that love has an army. Hate has one for sure, we see it everyday in our comments on Instagram and Twitter. But we gonna fight back, and ‘Savage’ is doing just that.”

LeBron James Drags Bum Trump For Coming For Steph Curry, Twitter Rejoices
Alt-President Donald Trump drew a line, at least for for basketball fans, when he came for Steph Curry this morning. LeBron James stepped up to drag Cheeto for filth and Twitter exploded, even more.
“U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!,” tweeted LeBron.
Where is the lie? Yes, LeBron James really did call Donald Trump a bum. The fact he wrote “U bum” makes it exponentially slanderous.

Beyonce’s Lawyers Argue ‘Formation’ Sample Was ‘Justified’.
Back in July it was reported, A Louisiana federal judge on Tuesday denied Bey’s motion to dismiss the copyright claim on fair use grounds — but she’s not buying Barre’s argument that the doctrine doesn’t apply to digital sampling of a sound recording.
[Judge] Brown also denied the motion to dismiss Barre’s false endorsement and Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act claims — but did dismiss the claim for unjust enrichment.

Now…Beyoncé denied a slew of copyright infringement allegations in a new response to a lawsuit filed by the estate of Anthony Barre, better known as the late New Orleans rapper and YouTube sensation, Messy Mya.
In their new filing, Beyoncé’s legal team invoked an array of defenses, claiming the singer had been “granted a license permitting” her to use the audio clips and arguing the use of the audio was “reasonable and justified.”

A representative for Beyoncé did not immediately return Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Senator John McCain: ‘I Cannot In Good Conscience Vote’ For The GOP Obamacare Repeal Bill
WASHINGTON ― Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Friday that he doesn’t support the latest Obamacare repeal bill, all but ensuring Republicans’ last-ditch effort to gut the Affordable Care Act is dead in the water.
“I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal,” McCain said in a statement.

“I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried,” he said. “Nor could I support it without knowing how much it will cost, how it will affect insurance premiums, and how many people will be helped or hurt by it. Without a full [Congressional Budget Office] score, which won’t be available by the end of the month, we won’t have reliable answers to any of those questions.”
Since the entire Democratic caucus opposes the bill, dubbed Cassidy-Graham, Republican leaders can afford to lose only two GOP senators on it. McCain’s decision means the bill doesn’t appear to have the votes to pass. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has said he’s opposed to it, and Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) has said she’s “leaning against” it. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who voted against the last repeal bill, has also raised concerns with this one.

In a lengthy statement, McCain underscored that the process has been terrible and suggested he won’t support any repeal bill that wasn’t vetted through the usual rigorous, bipartisan debate. Republican leaders have been rushing to try to pass the bill ― any repeal bill, really ― because their ability to pass something with 51 votes (including Vice President Mike Pence’s tiebreaker) instead of 60 expires at the end of the month.
“I would consider supporting legislation similar to that offered by my friends Senators Graham and Cassidy were it the product of extensive hearings, debate and amendment. But that has not been the case,” he said. “Instead, the specter of September 30th budget reconciliation deadline has hung over this entire process.”
He also nudged leadership to let the senators working on a bipartisan solution to health care continue their work. Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.) have been holding hearings and trying to come up with a health care bill both parties can get behind, but GOP leaders effectively shut down their work to clear the path for the Cassidy-Graham bill.

“Senators Alexander and Murray have been negotiating in good faith to fix some of the problems with Obamacare,” said McCain. “But I fear that the prospect of one last attempt at a strictly Republican bill has left the impression that their efforts cannot succeed. I hope they will resume their work should this last attempt at a partisan solution fail.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) hailed McCain’s decision to move on from his party’s months-long repeal effort.

“John McCain shows the same courage in Congress that he showed when he was a naval aviator,” Schumer said in a statement. “I have assured Senator McCain that as soon as repeal is off the table, we Democrats are intent on resuming the bipartisan process.”
The Arizona senator’s announcement isn’t a total surprise. He helped bring down the GOP’s last repeal bill in a dramatic, late-night vote. But this time, his close friend Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is leading the charge on the legislation, and it was unclear if McCain was prepared to vote against his pal. McCain acknowledged that made his decision more difficult.

“I take no pleasure in announcing my opposition. Far from it,” he said. “The bill’s authors are my dear friends, and I think the world of them. I know they are acting consistently with their beliefs and sense of what is best for the country. So am I.”

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Production Crew SHOCKED After Bloody Reunion Brawl!
OMG! Love & Hip Hop producers are alarmingly concerned about the violence that took place during one of their recent tapings. On Tuesday, September 19th, the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast filmed the reunion episode. A brawl happened while taping that caught a lot of people by surprise.
Cast members Ray Cunningham (aka Misster Ray) and Lazell Shaw (aka Zell Swag), who are both new to the show, were involved in a physical altercation. For those who have not watched this season, the pair have been feuding and things have almost gotten physical on a number of occasions. However, during the reunion, their particular fight left production legally concerned.

So what happened? We’re told that while filming, Zell appeared to be apologizing to Ray. While Ray seemed apprehensive about Zell’s words, the apology seemed authentic to the audience and cast members. Sources tell us that Zell actually approached Ray (while he was sitting down) as if he wanted to either shake hands or hug. The source tells us,
Then all of a sudden, Zell just bumrushed Ray, attacking him. He kicked him and went ballistic. Ray was at a disadvantage because he didn’t know he was about to be attacked.

We’re told security attempted to rush the stage, but they were too late.
Zell was out of control. Security wasn’t quick enough.

After the fight, Zell was removed from filming and escorted out of the building. Here’s a clip of Zell addressing the fight.
Sources say that Ray was concerned before the reunion aired and was upset that production put his safety in jeopardy. A source tells us,
Fights happen all the time at the reunion, but this one was different. It felt like he was attacked and it wasn’t provoked.
We hear that Ray plans on pressing charges. Production and the network is concerned that this could become a legal mess.
They’re fearful that he could sue. They can handle a lawsuit, but they don’t need the stigma that this is a violent show. That could have advertising repercussions. They probably won’t even air the fight. It will probably get cut out.

There are also reports that Zell may not be asked to return to the show. Sources tell us,
It’s too soon to tell. They don’t make those type of decisions immediately after the reunion airs. They may feel obligated to bring Ray back because of the altercation, but it depends on what type of storyline he can muster up for another season.
Meanwhile, fans of the show can expect to see a few more interesting things during the reunion – Keyshia Cole’s performance, Alexis Skyy confirming her pregnancy (although she wasn’t on stage while her arch nemesis Masika Kalysha was on stage), Hazel-E attempting to fight Moneice Slaughter, etc.

The reunion is set to air next month on VH1

The Daily Buzz For Sept 28

FX's 'The Strain' Will End After Season Four in 2017
“We sincerely thank Carlton Cuse, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan and their creative team as well as the fantastic cast for three exciting seasons of The Strain,” an FX exec said in a statement. “Though we’re sad to see it go, we fully support the way in which they are crafting the fourth season’s dramatic conclusion.”

The Strain was always envisioned as a limited series and it was said that the show would get between 39 and 65 episodes when it was in the pilot stage, according to Deadline.

“Our original plan was for the series to last three years,” Carlton said in a statement. “Once we began telling that story it expanded to be more. After finishing the writing on Season 3, Guillermo, Chuck and I looked at our remaining story and felt the best version could be told in one more season. We have a fantastic plan for an exciting and climatic Season 4. We are deeply grateful to FX for supporting our vision and for allowing us to end the show on our own timetable.”

‘Empire’ Season 3 Spoilers: Rhonda ‘Does Not Go Away Immediately’ Despite Death
Empire returned to Fox for Season 3 on September 21 with a shocking twist that saw Rhonda (Kaitlyn Doubleday) fall to her death, but it turns out that we haven’t actually seen the last of Andre’s (Trai Byers) wife.
According to spoilers for the upcoming season, while Rhonda may no longer be alive following her rooftop brawl with Anika (Grace Byers), it sounds like the character will still be popping up throughout Season 3.
Empire showrunner Ilene Chaiken dished on Rhonda’s future with the drama in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, where she confirmed that Kaitlyn, who’s appeared as Andre’s wife since the series first began, is still very much a part of the show for now.

When asked about making the heart-breaking decision to kill Rhonda or Anika, Chaiken told the site that those behind the scenes of Empire found it “inconceivable that either one of them wouldn’t be in the show,” before confirming that Rhonda will still have a presence in Season 3.
“Rhonda dies but she’s not out of the show,” the Empire showrunner confirmed, seemingly confirming that Rhonda will live on, at least for a few episodes, in Andre’s mind.

“I’m not going to say how long that convention persists, but it’s an important part of Andre’s story and his psyche and it really tells the story of his state of mind,” continued the Empire showrunner, adding that those behind the scenes are “excited” by the prospect of keeping Rhonda alive in another state.

“Not just because we didn’t want to let go of Kaitlin, but because it felt very, very real and right to us,” she added.
While Chaiken didn’t confirm the exact details surrounding Rhonda’s continuation with the series when asked directly if Rhonda would appear in the mind of Andre, who’s battling bipolar disorder, she coyly replied, “Rhonda does not go away immediately, that’s true.”

Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal, also confirmed that Rhonda will be sticking around on Empire for a while following her death in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I was sad because I love Kaitlin personally, outside of the show,” the Empire actor revealed of the shocking Season 3 premiere death. “It’s always tough when you lose a character.”
When asked how much more of Rhonda fans of the Fox drama will be seeing in the coming season, Smollett teased “you never know,” but noted that Empire “is known for flashbacks and good stuff like that.”
Those behind the scenes of Empire are so far staying tight-lipped on the character’s posthumous storyline, though EmpireBooBooKitty.com previously confirmed that Kaitlyn was spotted filming scenes for Season 3 of Empire on the streets of New York back in July.

The news that Rhonda is not completely absent from the series following her death will likely come as good news to Empire fans who flocked to social media to grieve for the character after it was revealed in the show-stopping premiere that she has fallen to her death.
“[To be honest] just thinking about Empire gets me mad. Rhonda didn’t deserve to die. Boooboo kitty’s plotting ass should’ve fell of the roof,” Twitter user @NamelessJay wrote on the social media site of the heart-stopping Empire moment.
“Rhonda. Y’all I’m in tears,” Empire fan @im_royaalty tweeted out alongside two crying face emojis following the character’s shocking death. “[Shaking my head] man should’ve been Anika idgaf #Empire.”
“Shame we had to lose Rhonda. I like that we have a ‘ghost’ story, just hope it last right amount of time. #Empire,” Empire fan @tvgenius05 added.

Empire Season 3 continues with Episode 2, “Sin That Amends,” on Fox on September 28.

Music News: R. Kelly Readies ’12 Nights Of Christmas’ Album!
After announcing the project back in 2013, R. Kelly is finally coming home for Christmas. The R&B King is gearing up to release his first holiday album, 12 Nights of Christmas, next month.
Dressed in a dapper suit, holding a cigar in one hand and a drink in the other, Kellz is all smiles on the festive cover art. Featuring a beautifully-lit tree and a warm fireplace to get fans in the holiday spirit.
And it looks like a visual has already been shot. Decked out in a red and white cardigan, Kellz sings on a stoop as snow falls down in the still. “The world could use some cheer,” he captioned the pic. “#12NightsOfChristmas #NewTracks #2016.”

At the end of 2015, Kellz released the steppin’ song “Christmas Party,” which is expected to be included on 12 Nights of Christmas, set to arrive Oct. 21. Fans can currently catch Kellz on “The Buffet Tour,” which kicked off earlier this month and runs through Nov. 13 in Washington, D.C.

Hip Hop Video: The Game – ‘Pest Control (Meek Mill Diss)’
The Game’s Meek Mill disses continue to pour in, but this time in visual form. After “92 Bars” and “Pest Control,” the Compton spitter unleashes a music video for the latter, a scathing barrage of bars over Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu” instrumental.

The visual for “Pest Control” was filmed in Baltimore and kicks off with an exterminator in search of a rat. Of course, this follows Game’s narrative that Meek ratted him out in a Sean Kingston robbery investigation earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Game fires off a round of disses while running through B-More. “You jumped Quentin Miller and now you don’t scrap,” he rhymes. “It was time to go at Drizzy and now you don’t rap / Ask your bitch, she know I ‘Beez in the Trap’ / You gotta move out of L.A., I’ll put them Bs on your back.”
The video also seems to show footage of Beanie Sigel being punched at the “Bad Boy Family Reunion” concert. The brief clip comes with a caption: “Beanie Sigel admitted to ghostwriting for the Dickchasers so y’all snuffed the old head.”

So far, Meek’s only diss towards Game on wax came with his own “Ooouuu” remix. Beanie Sigel, who appeared on that song, has since said he’s got no beef with Chuck Taylor, but that he helped Mill write the diss. Beans was reportedly beaten for making this revelation by Teefy Bey, a member of Mill’s Dreamchasers crew.

LeBron James & Steph Curry Support Colin Kaepernick’s Protest, But Confirm They Will Not Join In
Two of the NBA’s biggest stars are weighing in on the Colin Kaepernick’s silent protest and revealing whether or not they’ll be joining in.
NBA champ and Cleveland Cavaliers baller LeBron James say he supports Colin’s movement, but he won’t be joining in. NBA MVP Steph Curry said the exact same thing. There were no hard feelings. They both expressed they admire Colin taking a stand and that they support him. But, they both have decided to continue to stand during the national anthem.

"Me standing for the national anthem is something I will do," James said at the Cavs' annual media day yesterday. "That's who I am. That's what I believe in. But that doesn't mean I don't respect and don't believe in what Colin Kaepernick is doing. You have the right to voice your opinion, stand for your opinion, and he's doing it in the most peaceful way I've ever seen someone do something."
King James made his own statement alongside Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony during the ESPY awards this year, raising awareness on police brutality. He talked about how the recent events with black men being killed at the hand of reckless police officers makes him feel uneasy for his own children. He added,
"For me, my personal feelings is that I got a 12-year-old son, a 9-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, and I look at my son being four years removed from driving his own car and being able to leave the house on his own, and it's a scary thought right now to think if my son gets pulled over," James said. "You tell your kids if you just apply [the lessons you teach them] and if you just listen to the police that they will be respectful and it will work itself out. And you see these videos that continue to come out, and it's a scary-ass situation that if my son calls me and says that he's been pulled over that I'm not that confident that things are going to go well and my son is going to return home. And my son just started the sixth grade."

Sad, but all the way true.

“I plan on standing,” Steph Curry said about joining Colin's protest during the Warriors’ media day. “But like I’ve said, there are ways that everybody can affect the mindset of people around them and the awareness of what’s going on without, in that moment, with the national anthem playing, kneeling. I’ve always said I respect Colin because he took a bold step, in that regard, to continue the conversation and make it more pointed. But I do plan on standing.”

Warriors forward Draymond Green also revealed if he will join. He said, "Am I going to kneel down and put my fist up? No. I’m not. That’s no disrespect to Colin or anybody else that’s doing it. But the point is out. Like, they’ve gotten the point across. I don’t think I need to come out and do this national anthem protest because it’s already been started. It’s already a conversation."

According to ESPN, the NBA has a rule requiring all of its players to stand during the national anthem (along with the WNBA). As of now, the league hasn’t taken any action against players that have knelt during the anthem, including the entire Indiana Fever team before a playoff game last week. The NFL doesn't have this rule.

Interesting….Money talks. So we really do have 40,000,000.00 slaves…..Anywho carry on!

50 Cent Accused of Stealing Power Originally named ‘Dangerous’
Rapper 50 Cent is being sued by a pair of screen writers who claim he stole their script for his hit TV series Power...
According to NYDN writers R. Byron Hord and Curtis Scoon filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court this week claiming they wrote a pilot script back in 2009 for a show called 'Dangerous' about a Black former kingpin trying to go straight while maintaining his friendship with an Irish gangster.
In their lawsuit Hord and Scoon claim in 2011 they gave the script to LA based execs who pitched the series to 50 Cent but never heard back.

Now the two are suing for copyright infringement.
50 Cent, Starz and parent company CBS are all named in the suit.

DAYUM! Beanie Sigel got SLAYED by one of Meek Mills Boyz!
Just a week after Beanie Sigel appeared on Meek’s diss track aimed at The Game, a man in Meek’s crew knocked Beanie out backstage in Philly at the Bad Boy Reunion concert.

via TMZ: They got this video of Beanie laid out backstage … shortly before he was getting onstage Saturday night for Diddy’s Bad Boy Family concert in Philly. You can also see a guy getting dragged out of the area … his name is Teefy Bey, and he’s a member of Meek’s Dreamchasers.
Teefy’s copped to throwing the KO punch, and claims Beanie had to go down because he broke the “code of ethics on the street.” He doesn’t get more specific.
We’re not sure how things escalated to this point, but we’re willing to bet it had something to do with Beanie claiming he wrote Meek’s verses for him on that diss track.

WATCH HERE
Beanie also referred to himself as ‘the real king’ of Philly on stage prior to the incident…which is clearly a diss at Meek.

Gladys Knight’s Son Says Mother ‘Lacks Mental Capacity’
The business drama between Gladys Knight and her son has gotten even uglier. As previously reported, the singer’s son Shanga Hankerson has been accused of tax evasion and owing over $1 million dollars to the state, all in relation to his ‘Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles‘ restaurant. And now, Shanga reportedly will not remove his mother’s name from the restaurant, per her request. According to Bossip,
Gladys Knight’s son is refusing to remove her name from his Atlanta restaurant chain – because he claims in new court papers – she lacks the ‘mental capacity’ to rescind the licensing deal.
Soul singer Knight had ordered her son, Shanga Hankerson, to remove her name from his Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles outlets after he was accused of stealing from the business.

But the battle between The Midnight Train To Georgia singer and her son has turned even nastier, as Hankerson has now moved to block his mother removing her name from the business.
The court documents, filed Thursday and seen exclusively by DailyMail.com, say ‘Plaintiff’s claims are barred, in whole or in part, [sic] lack of mental capacity to rescind the license agreement granted to Defendants.’
Knight, known as ‘The Empress of Soul’ has no role in the business and only allowed her son to use her name under a licensing deal.
But the arrangement has soured since the Department of Revenue accused Hankerson of theft and tax evasion in June.

Federal agents raided three of the restaurants in Georgia and shut down operations.

Naomi Watts & Liev Schreiber End 11-Year Relationship
The couple released a joint statement on Monday (September 26) confirming the sad news, which comes just days after another apparently solid Hollywood couple - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - split.
Naomi and Liev's statement reads: "Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.
"It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy."
Reports suggest the two stars have been living apart for some time, but they are still actively raising their sons, Alexander, nine, and seven-year-old Samuel. They were last spotted together with their kids in New York City on September 13th.

Liev and Naomi never wed, but they had been together since 2005.
Schreiber recently recalled his first date with the King Kong actress, after they were introduced in at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, and Naomi suggested they hit a club together.
Liev told Esquire magazine he felt "very embarrassed" when he arrived at the nightspot to find his soon-to-be girlfriend alongside her Hollywood pals Sean Penn and Benicio del Toro.
"I went down to this club that she told me to meet her at, and of course she was there with Sean and Benicio, and I’m kind of standing around like a bump on a log, waiting for my turn," he said. "I think I was nervous, and I felt very embarrassed being there, and self-conscious, because all these movie stars were hovering, and I felt... awkward and out of my element. And I wasn’t going to make a good impression.
"I said, 'I’m sorry, but I gotta go home'. She chased me outside and said, 'Don’t you want my digits?'"
And Naomi recalled that moment in an Allure magazine interview, revealing, "Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn't (going to)... I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out. I said, 'Don’t you want my digits?' Because I couldn't possibly say, 'Would you like my phone number?'

"It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, 'Would you like to go for a drink now?' And I said, 'No, I'll meet you for breakfast tomorrow'."

We wish them the best!
