These are HOT!

#RHOA: OH NO! Marlo Hampton Calls Kenya Moore a Clown!?!
Uh Oh? Marlo Hampton is clearly no fan of Kenya Moore, and the Bravolebrity has recently shown that in an Instagram post she’s since deleted.
The longtime friend of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” appears to have recently uploaded a throwback photo of herself and designer Max Azria to her Instagram page. And it included former “RHOA” peach holder Moore, although that’s not initially obvious.

“The man himself #MaxAzria” the initial Instagram post read. It also featured a massive clown emoji over Moore’s face.

When the screenshot was picked up by “RHOA” fan account @housewivesofatl, they included a photo from the event but still obscured Moore in the picture.
“I love Marlo PERIOD 😩🤣 #RHOA #MarloHampton (yes, I blurred out the photo on the right. If you’re smart you would know who it is lol…if not go google it)” they added in the caption.

A glimpse of an April 2018 tweet from Hampton reveals the photo was snapped at New York Fashion Week that year and Moore was indeed the third party in the picture. Hampton made her problems with Moore known at that time as well.
“You been in the industry all these years, but little ole Marlo’s Simply Marlo LLC got you invited to your first NYFW show, took you back stage to meet the designer Max Azria, used my car service and photographer to give you the #marlotta experience. #rhoa,” she said following Moore telling her off at the season 10 reunion that year.

As for Hampton’s present-day issues with Moore, Hampton is one of only two stars on “RHOA” — the other being Shamari DeVoe — that her longtime friend Nene Leakes did not unfollow. Leakes took issue with some of the cast’s opinions at the season 11 reunion taping the other week. She also rehashed her problem with Cynthia Bailey inviting Moore to her Seagram’s Escapes beverage launch without letting Leakes know her pal may show up.

So Hampton’s deeming Moore, whom she said on “Watch What Happens Live” last Sunday she doesn’t “have a relationship with,” a clown may indicate she’s Team Nene all the way.

#Empire: The Showrunner can Confirm Who Is Definitely Not in the Casket
Someone is poised to die at the end of Empire's fifth season, and the question weighing on everyone's mind has been who?

An ominous flash-forward in the season premiere saw Lucious (Terrence Howard) mourning the loss of a mystery person in a closed casket, setting the stage for an overarching mystery that has left us baffled so far. There have been few clues to go off of... until now.

Ahead of Wednesday's new episode, which finds the Lyon family back in control of Empire Records, Empire boss Brett Mahoney is offering up our biggest clue yet, revealing who definitely won't be in that coffin come season's end.
"It is not Cookie in the casket. It's also not Becky or Thirsty," Mahoney confirmed to TV Guide.

We weren't too concerned about Cookie — she is the heart and soul of the show, after all — but confirmation that the Lyon family matriarch is safe for now still comes as a huge relief. However, that doesn't eliminate Hakeem (Bryshere "Yazz" Gray), Andre (Trai Byers), or Jamal (Jussie Smollett) from the equation, meaning we might end up losing a different Lyon at the end of the season. Our vote is actually on Kinglsey (A.Z. Kelsey), the newest member of the family and Lucious' sworn enemy. Given what we've seen in the past, few are able to stand up against Lucious and live to tell the tale.

Although this latest clue definitely brings us one step closer to figuring out who will wind up six feet under this season, Mahoney said viewers won't find out exactly who it is until the finale, which is set to air later this spring. With the show doing away with its cryptic flash-forwards, the remaining episodes of the season will focus on catching up to that grim event, as mounting issues continue to test the Lyon family.

Wednesday's episode, titled "In Loving Virtue," will see things come to a head for Cookie and Lucious as they seize control of Empire Records and usher in a new era for the company. As teased in the video above, Lucious sets out to do away with the digital analytics that Kingsley favors for something different. According to Mahoney, this change of approach in how to run the family business will turn out to be a lot tougher than he could have anticipated.

"What he's gonna find is that Kingsley kind of damaged Empire, and because of the data mining scandal, they have to win their fans back and win their trust back," Mahoney said.
Cookie and Lucious' different approaches to how the family should rehabilitate Empire's shattered image will create a huge conflict for the already strained couple, who are still reeling over the dizzying reveal that Kingsley is Lucious' biological son. Those issues will be exacerbated by the return of Cookie's ex-lover, Damon Cross (Wood Harris).

"He's gonna be a thorn in the marriage of Lucious and Cookie," Mahoney teased.

This week's episode will also feature the return of Lucious' murderous, bipolar mother, Leah (Leslie Uggams), who we haven't seen since the end of Season 3. Her reemergence will force Lucious to look within and think about his actions on a critical level. It's all part of Empire's bid to return to its Seasons 1 roots, focusing on the complex dynamics of the Lyons and all the drama that comes with being part of this famous musical family.

The remaining episodes of Season 5 will also see the series try something completely new: take its talented cast of musicians on tour. Hakeem, Winter, and Jamal are set to hit the road in the coming episodes, which could explain Jamal's absence in the season's final two installments. Jamal was written out of the penultimate and finale episodes amid Jussie Smollett's recent legal issues, which has left many wondering about his future with the show. But whether or not this exit is permanent remains to be seen.

In the meantime, watch the drama unfold when a new episode of Empire airs Wednesday, March 20 at 8/7c on Fox.

#HipHopNews: Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint’ To Be Added To Library Of Congress
Jay-Z's classic 2001 album, The Blueprint, is currently only available to stream from your phone on TIDAL, but now there will be one more place to find the album—the Library of Congress.
On Wednesday (March 20), CBS reported that the Library picked 25 audio recordings to be inducted to the Registry. Along with Hov's magnum opus, songs by Earth Wind & Fire, music from the movie Super Fly and a recording of Robert F. Kennedy announcing that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had been killed are also included in this year's additions. In a statement, Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden explains why they chose these particular bodies of work.

"The National Recording Registry honors the music that enriches our souls, the voices that tell our stories, and the sounds that mirror our lives," Hayden says. "The Library of Congress and its many collaborators are working to preserve these sounds and moments in time, which reflect our past, present and future."
The Blueprint is Jay's sixth studio album and it featured production from a then mostly unknown Kanye West, as well as Just Blaze, Timbaland and The Trackmasters. The project, which is still ranked by many as one of the best hip-hop albums of all time, was both a critical and commercial success, and spawned hits like "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)," "Girls, Girls, Girls," and "Song Cry." Though it was released on the same day that the tragic events of Sept. 11 occurred, the project still debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and it went on to be certified double platinum.
In related Jay-Z news, the mogul is set to headline the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival alongside Chance The Rapper. The event will go down between Aug. 16-18 in Watkins Glen, N.Y. and will also feature acts like Run The Jewels and the Black Keys.

Congrats to Jessica Simpson as she Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Husband Eric Johnson
Party of five! Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson welcomed their third child together, a baby girl named Birdie, on Tuesday, March 19.
“Birdie Mae Johnson. 3.19.19. 10 Pounds 13 Ounces,” she captioned her Instagram announcement.

The exciting news comes just two days after the singer, 38, shared a photo of her bare baby bump in a bikini on Instagram. “Jess-tation,” she captioned the pic.
Simpson  and Johnson, 39, are also parents of daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5. The Dukes of Hazzard star announced in September that the couple were expanding their family.
“SURPRISE…” she captioned a photo of her two kids holding giant black balloons on September 18. In a second post, the fashion designer shared a pic of Maxwell and Ace surrounded by pink balloons.

“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” Simpson wrote. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

An insider said that she and Johnson were “surprised but overjoyed” about having a third baby.
“Jessica and Eric are over the moon. They are so happy and very excited,” the insider told Us in September. “It’s fun because Ace and Maxwell are at an age where they understand what is happening. They are really cute waiting for their baby sister.”
While Simpson told Ellen DeGeneres in May 2017 that she had no plans to have a third child, she gushed exclusively to Us the following year about how much she loves motherhood.

“Being a mother is the best opportunity and challenge I’ve ever been blessed with in life,” she told Us in May 2018. “Right now my kids are in this amazing stage where I’m really listening to them without judgment and they’re teaching me so much. These little innocent kids teach me so much about life.”

The Broadway Play ‘Hamilton’ Casting Gets Dragged Into TV Company’s Discrimination Suit
Charter Communications, one of the largest cable operators in the nation, used the race of actors in the Broadway hit, Hamilton, as a defense to combat a discrimination lawsuit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The television company was hit with a $10 billion lawsuit by Byron Allen, CEO of Entertainment studios in 2015. The Black executive claimed Charter refused to carry any content owned by his studio because of his race. The filing has survived a motion to dismiss and a review by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Attorneys for Charter filed a writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court to dismiss the suit on March 8. In the petition, they argued that the claim violated the company’s First Amendment rights and used Hamilton to support the positioning.

The musical, which debuted in August 2015, is a hip-hop infused telling of the life of American statesman, Alexander Hamilton. It was written by Puerto Rican lyricist, playwright and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda. The cultural juggernaut featured Blacks and Latinos portraying the Founding Fathers and their contemporaries. Hamilton won a Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2016. Despite the widespread recognition, it was also criticized for reverse discrimination for posting casting calls in search of “non-White” actors.

“A refusal to contract with a white actor to play George Washington cannot be made an antidiscrimination violation without profoundly undermining First Amendment values,” the law team stated.
Attorneys alleged that if Allen’s suit is allowed to move forward, White actors would also be able to sue Miranda for failure to cast them in Hamilton.

“[I]t would allow even an objectively terrible white actor to bring an action for being denied a part in Hamilton even if factors other than race would provide an obvious explanation for why the actor would not get a part as a Founding Father in the minority cast of Hamilton (or in any kind of cast for any other play),” the court doc read in conclusion. “Left in place, the Ninth Circuit’s reasoning will have a devastating chilling effect on the free speech rights of all speech platforms — from magazines, to websites, to bookstores and theaters — that select and promote speech originally produced by others.”

Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown Says his Goals are to ‘Recreate’ Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s Wedding
Big, bold and ongoing! Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown has his sights set on mirroring the wedding celebrations of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas when it comes to his nuptials to fiancé Ian Jordan.

“Oh, I’ve been wedding planning! We haven’t given out the date yet but it’s getting way extravagant, out of hand,” the reality star, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Us movie premiere in New York City on Tuesday, March 19. “I was telling people the other day that [my fiancé] has been having anxiety attacks because of the wedding planning, so I’ve just stopped telling him the details.”

Brown noted that the happy couple are expecting “around 350” guests to be in attendance for their life-changing event. “Let me tell you something, Priyanka and Nick Jonas are my goals,” the Texas native added with a nod to the Quantico alum, 36, and the 26-year-old “Chains” crooner’s multiple weddings. “I mean, I’m doing well financially, not as well as them, but I’m trying to figure out how can I recreate what they had because I loved it.”
Jonas and Chopra Jonas wed in December 2018 with a two-day event that included a Western ceremony in Mumbai, India, and a Hindu ceremony in Mumbai the following day. Two days later, the pair held a larger-than-life reception in New Delhi, India, and in did it all again in January 2019 in Belmont, North Carolina.
Brown, for his part, knows this once-in-a-lifetime wedding is something to be thankful for, and therefore wants to make it extra special. “We’re also seven years in since marriage equality was enacted, so I want to celebrate the strides we’ve made in our country and also my love,” he said.

The groom-to-be proposed to Jordan in May 2018 at HYDE in Los Angeles while they were celebrating the TV director’s 40th birthday. “You are the funniest man I know, the kindest man, my biggest cheerleader. You made me feel like I could do anything,” Brown told his love at the time. “I hope we can conquer the world together for the rest of our lives. Ian Lamont Jordan, will you marry me?”

The Cast of 'In Living Color' To Reunite 25 Years After Finale
The cast of In Living Color will reunite at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Over two decades after the show’s finale, creator Keenen Ivory Wayans along with cast members Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, and Rosie Perez will reconvene to discuss the impact of the iconic show. There will also be a screening of the show’s pilot prior to the panel.
While the festival has previously celebrated film anniversaries and reunions, this is the first time Tribeca TV is celebrating television anniversaries.

“When some of the most cinematic storytelling continues to happen on screens of all sizes and shapes, we were particularly inspired this year by the scope, innovation, and accomplishment of the so-called ‘small’ screen,” Cara Cusumano, the festival’s director said in a statement.  “It’s a privilege to showcase these diverse works with a robust program that speaks to the limitless potential of the episodic form.”

The Tribeca Film Festival kicks off in New York City on April 24.

Kristoff St. John’s Official Cause of Death is heart disease combined with the effects of an accidental alcohol overdose
Actor Kristoff St. John died unexpectedly in February from heart disease combined with the effects of an accidental alcohol overdose, the Los Angeles coroner’s office has revealed, according to KCAL.

Friends of St. John, 52, best known for his role on The Young and the Restless, found his body Feb. 3 at his San Fernando Valley home, according to law enforcement. A source told TMZ at the time that there were no signs of foul play but that alcohol may have been involved.
St. John’s ex-wife, Mia St. John, speculated that his death may have been related to the death of their son Julian in 2014. Julian died by suicide while being treated at a mental health facility. The St. Johns sued the facility for negligence and eventually reached a settlement.

The soap opera star was also hospitalized and placed under psychiatric evaluation in 2017 after sending several photos of himself with a gun to his head to an ex-girlfriend. When police arrived at his home, they confiscated two guns and placed the actor under a 72-hour hold for mental evaluation.

#POLTICS: Florida Republicans Try to Restrict Restoration of Felon Voting Rights
Florida legislators passed a bill Tuesday that would limit the number of former felons who can vote, according to NBC News. The measure comes following approval of Amendment 4, which restored voting rights for state residents convicted of felonies, during the 2018 midterm elections.
More than 1.5 million Floridians regained the ability to vote. However, through the new GOP-backed proposal, former felons would be required to pay back all fines and court fees before they can register to vote. A stipulation that many critics, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), said unfairly targets low-income residents who are primarily people of color.
Even if the former felons are on state-issued repayment plans, they will not be allowed to register to vote until they are entirely paid off.
Last year, Florida voters approved restoring voting rights to 1.5 million ex-felons.

A GOP-controlled House committee just approved a requirement that would force them to pay court costs (even if not sentenced to do so) before they can legally register to vote.
“What the barriers proposed in this bill do is nearly guarantee that people will miss election after election … because they cannot afford to pay financial obligations,” said Julie Ebenstein, a voting rights attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union. “It’s an affront to the Florida voters.”

The constitutional amendment, which 65 percent of voters approved, went into effect in January 2019. It states that previously convicted felons, excluding murderers and sexual offenders, would be able to vote “after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole or probation.”

“Keeping voters who can’t afford to pay their fees immediately, keeping them disenfranchised for additional years, decades, or for the rest of their life, is not what was contemplated by voters who passed this amendment,” Ebenstein said.
Desmond Meade, a former felon who helped to promote Amendment 4 on the November 2018 ballot with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, said the measure is another hurdle for individuals like him.

“We are hopeful that improvements can be made to this bill that secure bipartisan support before it moves to the next committee,” Meade said in a statement. “After all, Amendment 4 passed with broad support from people all over the state and from all walks of life. Any legislation proposed should neither limit the rights created by Amendment 4 nor infringe upon the will of Florida voters.”

Black Canadian Singer Daniel Caesar Talks Race Relations, Calls American Black People "Too Sensitive"
OH THE COONERY!! Daniel Caesar went on Instagram Live (Tuesday) to share some social commentary on race relations. You can see it HERE
In an attempt to defend his problematic white industry friend, who’d recently been criticized for disrespecting black women in media Scottie Beam and Karen Civil, the 23-year-old Canadian crooner asked, “why are we being so mean to white people right now?”

He continues, “White people have been mean to us in the past, yeah, but what are you going to do about it? Tell me what you’re going to do about that? There’s no answer, other than creating and understanding and keeping it moving. You have to bridge that gap.”
Last week, Caesar and Dave Chappelle appeared on  John Mayer‘s Instagram Live show Current Mood, and the comedian called Caesar “very gay.” The singer commented on the encounter in his IG Live saying he’d been too sensitive.

He went on to opine that “being a victim” “doesn’t get you paid,” and that white people are “the winning team” that black people should emulate instead of condemn.
“Are we winning right now in the culture? Are we on top of society? We’re not,” he says. “You can’t win the game by choosing to not accept the winning team’s strategy,” he said. “You have to acknowledge the strategy and build a strategy on top of that.”

“I’ve said what I said before and y’all tried to cancel me, and I apologized like a bitch and I don’t believe in that shit,” he ranted. “I think you guys are wrong and I think I’m right. You can cancel me. I’m making music right now and you guys don’t have to listen to it.”

Not sure what this dude is smoking but he needs to STOP!

The Daily Buzz For Sept 22 ☕📰☕

Chadwick Boseman’s Hunger 13 Cover
Chadwick Boseman has played a number of the most influential characters in American history – from the electrifying Godfather of Soul, James Brown, to the steadfast, supremely-talented Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play Major League Baseball in the modern era, and the venerated Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Judge. In 2016’s mega-budget blockbuster Captain America: Civil War, he introduced the Black Panther to the Marvel Universe. The character was the first black superhero to appear in mainstream American comics (in Fantastic Four #52 in 1966, FYI ).

Boseman is reaching his peak at a critical time for American cinema as it boldly – and with mixed levels of sensitivity and success – attempts to handle its homeland’s precarious socio-political times. As many casting directors have noted, he is the man to bring nuance, brilliance and presence to roles of historic importance. For Hunger issue 13, in conversation with Hunger’s Elliot Watson, Boseman describes the significance of the characters he has played, his own journey to self-discovery and cinema’s as yet untapped capacity to heal.

#RHoA: NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann Are Back to Stir the Pot in RHOA Season 10 Trailer
NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann are back to stir things up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta,
The two reality stars — both original cast members of Bravo’s highest-rated Housewives franchise when it premiered in October 2008 — are returning to the show for its milestone season, alongside fellow O.G. Housewife Shereé Whitfield and long-running castmates Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey.
“This is getting juicy!” Whitfield exclaims in the trailer, which is packed full of OMG moments and hilarious one-liners.
Leakes and Zolciak-Biermann, who is billed as a “friend of the Housewives,” don’t waste time jumping into the action.

Though their explosive battles are some of the most memorable moments in Housewives history — including when Leakes told Zolciak-Biermann to “close your legs to married men” during the season 1 reunion — neither of ladies seem to be going after each other this time around.

It’s Leakes’ first time back as a full-time Housewife since leaving in season 7. Zolciak-Biermann left RHOA halfway through season 5, storming out during a group dinner when she was 35 weeks pregnant with her now 5-year-old son Kash Kade.
“I am back, and of course the haters still know I’m here,” Leakes proclaims early on in the trailer, joking, “Is my wig still down?”
The Fashion Police host better keep it down tight, because a few of the ladies seem to be coming for it. In the two-minute clip alone, she butts heads with Whitfield and Williams — calling the latter a “big ass mother f—— liar” for her role in spreading allegations that Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker had planned on drugging Williams and their mutual friend Shamea Morton in order to take advantage of them sexually last season.
“You deserve some discipline for what you did to Kandi,” Leakes yells as her fellow Housewives hold her back. “F— you.” (Phaedra Parks, who admitted to telling Williams the news, is not returning this season).

Zolciak-Biermann has her own set of problems, mainly with Moore —  whom the Don’t Be Tardy star famously fought with last season when she made a guest appearance at Whitfield’s housewarming party.
The former Miss USA’s secret wedding to businessman Marc Daly seems to take all the ladies by surprise, with Zolciak-Biermann joking “she married a fan.”

“Have you guys met her husband?” Zolciak-Biermann asks.
“Worry about pimping your daughter out, bitch,” Moore snaps back, calling out Zolciak-Biermann’s lookalike daughter Brielle. “If you come for me, I will f——- rip your head off.”
Moore’s husband isn’t the only one that has everyone talking. Bailey and Whitfield are both focusing on their “new boos” — though Bailey’s ex-husband Peter Thomas isn’t necessarily ready to let her go.

“Cynthia and I will get back together,” he says.
Meanwhile, Whitfield’s man — an inmate at a federal prison — has her friends worried he may not have her best intensions in mind.  “He’s a con artist,” Leakes tells Burruss, who wonders, “I hope he doesn’t con her out of Chateau Shereé!”
But Burruss is past all of last season’s nonsense.

“Once I don’t f— with you, I don’t f— with you,” she says of Williams, who is now practicing being a “baby vegan.”
That’s probably best for Burruss, who has her hands full anyway with the Old Lady Gang restaurant.  She, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott are also preparing for the highly-anticipated Xscape reunion. (Their road back together, and their first full live performance in nearly 15 years, will be documented on the Xscape: Still Kickin’ It spin-off series set to premiere this fall).

The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres Nov. 5 (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo

#HIPHOPNEWS: Family Ties: Jay-Z & Kanye West Plan To Meet & Hash Out Differences
Family falls out and reconciles all the time. Reportedly, Jay-Z and Kanye West to squash their beef via a face to face meeting.
Million dollar lawsuits can serve as motivating factors, too.

Yeezy is currently suing Tidal for a $3.5M. However, the suit has yet to be settled because Yeezy and Hova have yet to speak.
According to TMZ, a source says, “The Generals [Kanye and Jay] have to meet face-to-face. When that happens, the resolving the money dispute is a piece of cake.”
Apparently, the $3.5M is nothing, but a man to man talk will smooth things over.
You should know the story by now; Yeezy called out Jay-Z and Beyoncé on stage, Jigga was pissed he brought his family into it and then spanked West on 4:44.

Expect the family to settle their feud, but things will never be the same.

#OOOPS! Jessice Simpson and Hubby caught being DRUNK!
Jessica Simpson sticks her tongue out to photographers

This is just a quick thing, but how drunk was Jessica Simpson last night? You be the judge. Jessica and her husband Eric “Big” Johnson went to Craig’s in West Hollywood, and these are photos of their exit from the restaurant. Or should I say, falling out of the restaurant. Jessica had that glassy-eyed boozy look that I recognize from my own boozy days (ah, memories). She lost her balance in the few yards it took to get from the door of Craig’s to the door of her car. She also made a perfect drunkface as she got into the car, sticking out her tongue at the paps.

Jessica has always enjoyed her booze, and before she had her babies, she was well-known for liking to down several cocktails with her dinner. She talked about it a lot, how much she liked a Scotch on the rocks, or whatever else was around. I don’t think she’s much of a beer drinker, but she probably drinks wine. And heavy liquor. You know what’s remarkable? Jessica has never gotten a DUI. She gets sh-tfaced on the reg, but maybe she’s self-aware enough to know that she should never get behind the wheel. Good for her on that, at least.
Anyway, are you judging her? I’m not. I have no idea if she’s a raging alcoholic or if she’s merely a happy drunk/social drinker/whatever. I do think she looks like she’s been boozing a lot lately – those are a lot of empty calories in those cocktails, and I guess she’s not under contract with Weight Watchers anymore.

The woman suing Usher for $20 million for allegedly giving her genital herpes has now identified herself.
Laura Helm claims in new legal docs, she had 2 sexual encounters with the singer. She says he behaved very oddly. The docs are very descriptive, but she says she never saw him finish because she saw him run to the bathroom. She goes on ... on the second occasion he did not wear a condom and says a few days after that she noticed an unusual bump on the inside of her cheek. A few days after that she noticed a similar bump -- the size of a green pea -- on her vagina.

She says, during the second encounter Usher set the mood by putting on jazz music while performing oral sex on her.
She references reports that Usher paid $1.1 million to a previous sex partner but she offers no proof.
Helm says they were platonic friends and he wooed her by telling her about his humanitarian efforts in Africa. Helm is suing for $20 million.

Rosemont Hotel: There’s No Video Of Kenneka Jenkins Walking Into Freezer.
Almost a week ago, The attorneys representing Jenkins’ family said in a press conference Friday that the hotel has only provided them “snippets” of video that show a “disoriented” young lady.
The family has “still not received the entirety of the video showing what happened,” said Larry Rogers, Jr., one of the attorneys representing Jenkins’ family.

The hotel has only provided about 30 to 40 minutes of video out of the 36 hours Jenkins was there, Rogers said.
The video shows a woman “who is clearly in need of some attention” and is “trying to find her way,” he added.
According to reports, Surveillance video of Kenneka Jenkins walking into an industrial freezer at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center does not exist, a hotel spokesman told CBS Chicago. There is no surveillance camera that films the entrance to the industrial freezer where 19-year-old Jenkins was found dead September 10. “I want to see her literally, actually walking into this freezer,” her mother, Tereasa Martin, said last week. Social media has exploded with theories about foul play, partially fueled by a Facebook Live video posted by one of Jenkins’s friends.

#UGH! Nicki Minaj Deletes Offensive Aaliyah Post
Nicki Minaj raises eyebrows after Tweeting an offensive GroupChat mocking pop star Aaliyah's death...
Apparently someone in a GroupChat made a ridiculous comment that Nicki Minaj just couldn't help sharing with her 21 million followers.
The problem is the name of the ChatGroup was 'Aaliyah Airlines' with a crashing plane emoji.
Nicki deleted the Tweet after fans called her out.
Drake is NOT going to like this.

Eniko & Kevin Hart Moving Forward With $118K 'Lion King' Themed Baby Shower
Despite the embarrassment of his cheating and extortion scandal, Kevin Hart is moving forward with their $118,000 “Lion King” themed baby shower.

Here’s the scoop via TMZ: According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Kevin and Eniko are dropping serious cash for a ‘Lion King’ themed shower on Oct. 1 at the Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu. The venue will be decked out in leopard print and safari animals pics — and a Hart family photo “with a silhouette of pregnant Eniko leading the way.”

They’re also having an “Experience Bar” where guests can sample exotic foods and dress up like tribal warriors — and a game show similar to “The Price Is Right” where guests can win prizes. All set to ‘Lion King’ music, of course.
It don’t come cheap — according to the docs, the whole shebang is costing them $117,855. But that includes $1,500 for a chimp in a diaper…so it’s a steal.

‘Power’ Copyright Suit Unplugged; “No Significant Similarities” Says Judge
The dismissal this week of a turgid copyright and fraud case is turning September into a very good month for Power.
Having wrapped up its fourth season with very strong numbers on September 3, the Starz drama now has seen a federal judge unplug claims that the Courtney Kemp created and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson executive produced was substantially lifted from an unpublished manuscript. In fact, U.S. District Judge Manuel Real didn’t just pull the plug on Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid author Larry Johnson and editor Blake Keller’s claims on Monday, he shredded them – politely.

“Plaintiffs have not met their pleading burden of showing more than a bare possibility that Defendants had access to Tribulation,” said the California-based judge in a ruling issued on September 18 after taking motions from both sides under submission back earlier this summer (read it here).
In their initial filing of October 2016, Johnson and Keller alleged that they gave a copy of their script to Jackson associate Nikki Turner back in 2004. They claim that through her, the gambling dispute based Tribulation script eventually made its way to Kemp and Jackson as the basis for the 2014 debuting Power.
Judge Real was picking up those bread crumbs, at all. Terming that chain of events “merely speculative,” Judge Real then adds that Johnson and Keller “have not shown a sufficient nexus between Defendant Turner and any other Defendant.”

Kicking the access claim to the curb, the LBJ appointed judge then guts the rest of the plaintiffs’ case, which was seeking sweeping damages. That gutting might be all the more like something Jackson’s ruthless Kanan character would do on Power itself as the whole matter was set for a possible October 21 this year trial start if it had survived defendants Kemp, Jackson, Starz, CBS Television, producer Randall Emmett and others’ July 26 motion to end the matter.
“The characters in the works also share no significant similarities under copyright law,” the Judge asserts of comparisons between Power’s drug lord and nightclub owner Ghost, played by Omari Hardwick, and Tribulation’s Prince. “Plaintiffs allege that both are smart, wear the same hairstyle and goatee, and desire to leave the drug trade,” notes the ruling from Monday. “Beyond these non-distinctive similarities, the characters are nothing alike,” it adds..

“Because Plaintiffs have not alleged facts sufficient to support access, and the works are not substantially similar as a matter of law, Plaintiffs’ copyright infringement claim is baseless,” concludes Judge Real.
While this case is now officially terminated, Power itself will be back for a fifth season of “huge moves,” according to Kemp, in mid-2018.

Ex-Bill Cosby attorney Monique Pressley plus lawyers from L.A.’s Kimble Legal Consulting and Orange Law Offices represented Johnson and Keller in the case. Kemp, Jackson, Starz and the other defendants were represented by David Halberstadler and Joanna Hill of LA’s Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.
