A lawsuit accusing JAY-Z and Diddy of raping a minor 25 years ago has been withdrawn by the plaintiff after much scrutiny over her claims.
On Friday (February 14), the anonymous woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, filed a notice in federal New York court announcing their decision to voluntarily dismiss the suit.
The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice, meaning it can be refiled at a later date.
The filing notes that the woman’s legal team had discussed the matter with representatives for both JAY-Z and Diddy, who “acknowledge[d] and consent[ed] to this submission.”
JAY-Z, who had vehemently denied the disturbing allegations, celebrated the move as a “victory” while maintaining his innocence.
“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitous and appalling allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit was never going anywhere,” he said in a statement shared on social media by his Roc Nation company.
“The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loves ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.”
The Brooklyn-bred billionaire also hit out at Buzbee, with whom he became embroiled in a separate legal battle after the rape lawsuit was filed.
“This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions. The system has failed,” he continued.
“The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence. May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally.”
Hov’s lawyer Alex Spiro added in a statement of his own: “By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can — he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid one red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name.”
Diddy’s legal team also welcomed the dismissal, saying: “Today’s complete dismissal without a settlement by the 1-800 attorney is yet another confirmation that these lawsuits are built on falsehoods, not facts.
“For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by an attorney more focused on media headlines than legal merit. Just like this claim, the others will fall apart because there is no truth to them.”
They added: “Sean Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor. No number of lawsuits, sensationalized allegations, or media theatrics will change that reality.”
The lawsuit accused the two rap legends of raping a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000 following the MTV Video Music Awards. It was originally filed in October 2024 naming only Diddy as a defendant, before JAY-Z was added as a defendant two months later.
Hov quickly and forcefully shut down the claims, calling it a “blackmail” attempt from a “deplorable human,” referring to Buzbee.
Spiro also refuted the allegations, holding a press conference in December where he presented various pieces of evidence poking holes in the woman’s story.
The plaintiff herself later admitted in an interview with NBC News that she had made “some mistakes” when recalling the alleged incident.
“Today’s investigative report proves this ‘attorney’ Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame,” JAY-Z said in response. “This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming.”
While Hov’s legal troubles have been resolved, the same can’t be said for Diddy who is currently in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
He is also facing over 40 civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct.
Tupac Shakur “Lost His Mind” Over Aaliyah According To Suge Knight
Suge Knight revealed that Tupac Shakur was enthralled by Aaliyah and had plans to collaborate with her before his tragic death.

Suge Knight, says legendary rapper Tupac Shakur had his sights set on signing R&B star Aaliyah and working on a project with her before his untimely death.
Speaking from prison in an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight recalled Shakur’s excitement after seeing Aaliyah perform live.
“Tupac wanted to sign Aaliyah. I took him to go see Gladys Knight perform, and he loved it. Then Aaliyah came out, and Pac said, ‘Don’t get up, don’t get up.’ I said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘You’re gonna talk to Gladys, then you’re gonna talk to the little girl singing, and the next thing you know, you’re gonna be doing that,’” Knight recounted.
Tupac Shakur, who had already cemented his legacy as one of Hip-Hop’s greatest artists, was taken aback by Aaliyah’s stage presence and voice, Knight explained.
From that performance alone, the rapper was convinced she was destined to be a megastar, and he wanted to be part of her journey.
“He was so excited. I ain’t never seen that little n#### so happy. Out of all the girls and women he ever seen, he thought she was the biggest star and had the best voice ever,” Knight said.
The rapper’s enthusiasm didn’t fade after that night. According to Knight, he continued talking about Aaliyah for days, sharing his vision for working with her and making music together.
“I never seen him get so excited about no female artist. He lost his mind over Aaliyah. He was super, super, super excited,” Knight added.
“We are incredibly grateful to Coco Gauff for her generous $100,000 gift to UNCF, which will significantly impact the lives of HBCU students aspiring to excel in competitive tennis,” said Maurice E. Jenkins, Jr., executive vice president and chief development officer, UNCF. “Her commitment not only showcases her dedication to education and athletics but also inspires the next generation of student-athletes to pursue their dreams. This gift reinforces the importance of supporting our young leaders and ensuring they have the resources necessary to succeed both on and off the court.”
The Coco Gauff Scholarship Program will be administered by UNCF and scholarships will be awarded to eligible students who play competitive tennis starting in May. Details will be forthcoming on UNCF.org/scholarships.
As one of UNCF’s youngest major gift donors, Gauff, who is 20, says she supports HBCUs because she recognizes their value and the role they play in the community. Several members of Gauff’s family have attended or currently attend HBCUs.
“My family has a deep-rooted history with HBCUs, going all the way back to my great, great grandfather. From aunts and uncles to cousins, HBCUs have played a huge role in shaping who we are. Supporting UNCF in creating opportunities for student-athletes in tennis means a lot to me. As a young Black athlete, I understand how impactful it is to see people who look like me thriving in both sports and education. I want to help the next generation of student-athletes continue pursuing their passion for tennis while reaching their academic goals. My hope is that this scholarship gives more young Black players the confidence to chase their dreams, knowing they have a strong community behind them and a bright future ahead.”
In recognition of Gauff’s 2023 U.S. Open victory, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) committed $3 million to refurbishing tennis courts across the country. North Carolina Central University was granted $21,000 as a part of this initiative.
Coco Gauff has won nine Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) – tour level singles titles including the 2023 US Open and the 2024 WTA Finals. She has also won nine doubles titles including the 2024 French Open.
Reports that Kanye West and Bianca Censori are headed for divorce after splitting days after the rap mogul’s wife shocked attendees at the 2025 Grammys with a nude look on the music awards show’s red carpet and he went on an antisemitic social media tirade are entirely false, their longtime rep told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.
“Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press,” Milo Yiannopoulos, the couple’s longtime rep, told THR on Thursday afternoon. “Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I’ve lost track.”

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Joins Lifetime Movie Single Black Female 3: The Final Chapter
Real Housewives of Atlanta fans are cautiously optimistic about Season 16 of the show. Porsha Williams is back, along with Phaedra Parks and friend of the housewives Cynthia Bailey. It will be amazing to see the cast from when RHOA was in its prime. However, Porsha is expanding her career options, and I’m here for it.
Unfortunately, Porsha is also weathering a messy divorce from Simon Guobadia. I will be shocked if it doesn’t play out during the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Porsha is back in the acting game. In 2017, she shared that she would be performing on the stage. “I am extremely excited to announce I’ll be performing nationwide in the theater remake of Two Can Play That Game!” And of course, Porsha was part of RHOA alum Kandi Burruss’ stage production of A Mother’s Love. As you may recall, RHOA showed Kandi’s struggle to bring her story to the stage.
According to TV Line, Porsha has a role in the final movie of the Single Black Female franchise on Lifetime. Porsha is portraying Detective Ebony Williams. Amber Riley, K. Michelle, and Raven Goodwin are all returning for Single Black Female 3: The Final Chapter. The movie will air on Saturday, March 22, at 8/7c on Lifetime.
The sequel begins with Monica’s exoneration after she was wrongfully convicted of murder. However, “the stain of suspicion lingers, and reclaiming her life, her career, and the trust of those around her is proving to be an uphill battle. Simone, now a fugitive, has fled to a convent in Mexico, having no choice but to abandon Houston, along with the one thing she truly cared about – her daughter, Joy,” the official synopsis read. This movie sounds intriguing. But then again, I’m a sucker for a good Lifetime movie.
“When a terrifying nightmare shakes her to the core, Simone becomes convinced Joy is in danger and returns to Houston, for a final reckoning between the estranged half-sisters. It’s only a matter of time before old grudges resurface and Monica and Simone come face-to-face,” the synopsis continued. “K. Michelle reprises her role as Monica’s best friend Bebe.”

#HipHopNews: Drake Fires Back At Ebro Darden After He Calls Him A 'Sickness' In Hip Hop
Drake has some jokes after Ebro Darden spoke about him on his show recently – and Ebro is dishing the shade right back.
During an episode of Ebro In The Morning on Hot 97 earlier this week, Ebro referred to Drizzy as a “sickness” in the game as he was discussing Kendrick Lamar‘s beef with him.
“Drake is not that important. The reason Drake’s in this is because he is a sickness in the game,” he said. “It could have been any artist, but it’s what Drake represents. People love Drake – they love his music, we love his music. He’s beloved. He’s not willing to go rip his soul from the bottom and do ayahuasca and look himself in the mirror as Kendrick had prescribed to him. It’s about what the game does to artists who try to dominate it.”
After catching wind of the comments, Drake hit back on his Finsta with a Photoshopped picture of Ebro over a bowl of ayahuasca – which is a drink made from stems and leaves that contains DMT and is used as an aide in spiritual journeys.
But to Ebro, the fact Drake even replied is telling.
“I’ll say this,” he said in response during the latest episode of his morning show. “If Drake is now mentioning me at this point in his career – which he’s never mentioned me before or even been on our program or anything like that. And he’s at this point where he’s mentioning me, where he’s already mentioned Charlamagne and Joe Budden and so many other points – he’s at a low.”

Druski, Kai Cenat And Shaboozey Star In The Hilarious 2025 All-Star Celebrity Game
The 2025 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game was a hit. This year’s festivities had social media rocking after Druski, Kai Cenat, Shaboozey, Baron Davis and many others showed up and showed out at the Feb. 14 event, part of NBA’s All-Star Weekend in San Francisco. The entertainment factor was there, although the skill level was not as present.
Stars have always been present for this game but none bigger than this year. It appears streamers and social media icons like Cenat and Druski draw in massive viewership for these types of events. Druski was documenting the exciting game online. He has a clip going viral, acting surprised that he did not win the MVP of the Celebrity Game ahead of Rome Flynn winning the award. Fans joked with him on social media for only having four points during the game.
In response, he claimed he was sick and this was his Michael Jordan “Flu Game.” While the connection is hilarious, Jordan had 38 points and led his team to a win during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, while Druski failed to put up more than two buckets.
As the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and All-Star Game start to lose their allure, the NBA is leaning on the Celebrity Game and 3-Point Contest to keep viewers at home engaged. Unfortunately, big stars are not as excited about showing up to B-level markets like Cleveland, Salt Lake City and Indianapolis — where the last three All-Star Weekend events were held — to provide entertainment as there are bigger markets in Chicago, Atlanta, New York City and Los Angeles. Thankfully 2026 should be jampacked with big names because it will be making its return back to Los Angeles at the Clippers’ new Intuit Dome.
DJ Cassidy, E-40, Too Short, Saweetie, En Vogue, LiAngelo Ball and Raphael Saadiq will all be performing at this year’s NBA All-Star Game. It will be interesting to see how Gelo’s “Tweaker” goes over amongst fans who are in attendance. His last live performance was during the NFL playoffs at the Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders game on Jan. 18.

Wendy Williams flashes huge smile in rare sighting at Florida airport after filing to end guardianship
Wendy Williams appears happy to be out and about. The former talk show host, who’s trying to end her guardianship, flashed a huge smile on Saturday while riding a scooter through a Florida airport.
In video obtained by TMZ, Williams made her way through Miami International Airport while wearing fuzzy black boots and a matching coat
She didn’t say anything to the paparazzi following her and asking questions, but she seemed to be in good spirits.
She was also seen taking a phone call before entering a black SUV.
Williams is currently in Miami to celebrate her dad’s 94th birthday, and it’s the first time she’s been able to socialize with others in months.
Williams will reunite with her son, Kevin, and celebrate her dad’s 94th birthday while in Florida
After a judge granted the trip amid Williams’ guardianship battle, the 60-year-old told TMZ that she’d see her son Kevin at the family gathering.
Even though she feels he mismanaged her money and partly triggered her guardianship, she said their reunion wouldn’t be awkward.
Williams’ new sighting comes after she signed an affidavit Wednesday requesting that a judge remove her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.
According to the 60-year-old, this will only be the third time she’s been outside in the last 30 days.
Williams is actively trying to end her guardianship.
In her legal filing, Williams claims she has “regained capacity” to function independently, sources told TMZ.
Although Williams’ doctors diagnosed her with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in early 2024, she claims that she does not have the medical condition.
Williams is set to be “re-evaluated by a doctor” on Feb. 18. After the evaluation, Williams’ lawyer plans to file an “Emergency Order to Show Cause.”

Sources originally told us that a funeral would be held at Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens, the borough where Gotti launched his career as DJ Irv.
But on Wednesday (February 11), the family told his one million Instagram followers that previous plans for a public service had been scratched.
“Please be advised that the funeral services for Irving ‘Irv Gotti’ Lorenzo will not take place on Tuesday February 18th. Instead, there will be a private service for family and close friends on Wednesday. Following the private service a public procession will occur. Further details regarding the procession will be provided soon. Thank you.”
The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral could have accommodated up to 2,500 people in its main sanctuary. Given Gotti’s immense impact on the music industry, his funeral was expected to draw thousands of people. After all, he was instrumental in launching the fruitful careers of Ja Rule, Ashanti, JAY-Z and more.

UNCF is proud today to announce a $100,000 gift from tennis champion Coco Gauff to provide scholarships for historically Black college and university (HBCU) students playing competitive tennis.

The Kansas City Chiefs Want Travis Kelce Retirement Decision By March 14
The Chiefs are giving Travis Kelce a month to make a decision on his future. According to Nate Taylor and Cale Clinton of The Athletic, the Chiefs have set a March 14 deadline for Kelce to commit to the 2025 season.
While Kelce could try to squeeze more time from his team, the Chiefs do have some leverage via the tight end’s impending roster bonus. Kelce is due an $11.5MM bonus on March 15, and it’s no coincidence that the organization wants clarity before that date. Plus, free agency opens on March 10, so the Chiefs are already sacrificing some crucial roster certainty with this ultimatum.
The 2025 campaign will represent the final year of Kelce’s four-year, $57MM extension from 2020. The future Hall of Famer will be attached to a $19.8MM cap hit, more than half of which comes from that aforementioned roster bonus. While the Chiefs would surely welcome back Kelce regardless of the financials, that’s still a hefty cap charge, and our own Nikhil Mehta recently suggested that the front office could look to lower that hit via a cap-manipulating extension.
In his age-35 season, Kelce compiled some of the worst receiving numbers of his career. He finished the year with a career-low 51.4 yards per game, and his three touchdowns also marked a new career-low. Those numbers did see a jump when it mattered, as Kelce hauled in 13 receptions for 175 yards during the Chiefs’ three-game postseason run.
If Kelce does hang up his cleats, the Chiefs could look towards in-house options to fill the void. Former fifth-round pick Noah Gray finished the year with career-highs in receptions (40), receiving yards (437), touchdowns (five), and offensive snaps (664). This year’s TE free agency class mostly consists of complementary players, including Mike Gesicki and Juwan Johnson.

Tim Gunn Felt 'Humiliated' After Discovering 'Project Runway' Producers 'Don't Want Him' For Revival

Tim Gunn addressed the swirling rumors regarding his presence on the upcoming revival of "Project Runway". Having co-hosted the show for 16 seasons alongside Heidi Klum, Gunn revealed he won't be returning to the show.
"Heidi sent me a text saying, 'There's talk about bringing Project Runway back with us, with you and me, and would you do it?' And I said, 'Would I do it? Of course, there's not a moment of hesitation in me,' " Gunn recounted to PEOPLE.
However, optimism turned into disappointment when Gunn realized his invitation was not forthcoming. "I called my agent, and he knew things were going on, but he contacted the executive producers of this new show, and they said, 'We don't want him.' "
"And [my agent] said, 'Well, he's done 19 seasons of Runway, 16 with Heidi. The two of them won an Emmy together as hosts, and now you're going to separate them?' And they said yes," Gunn explained.
Gunn, who is now 71, went through a range of emotions upon discovering the news. "I was initially devastated, then kind of humiliated," he admitted. Nonetheless, the fashion mentor decided to see the brighter side.
"I thought, how lucky am I to have had the experiences that I've had over the last 20 years? This is phenomenal. I stopped the boo-hooing," Gunn shared. He remains proud of his tenure on the show and looks forward to what the future holds.
When discussing the idea of returning as a guest, Gunn quipped, "What do I do? Wave from a bus? As the designers are going into Mood [Fabrics]? Heidi comes to see me at the retirement home and we play croquet? So no thank you. And as Heidi would say, you're either in or you're out. And I'm out."
Heidi Klum, who will be reprising her role on "Project Runway", was also disheartened by the omission of her co-host and friend. "She was really upset and she kept saying, 'I'm fighting for you, I'm fighting for you,' " Gunn mentioned, appreciating her efforts.
Despite the turn of events, Gunn's perspective remains positive. "Am I disappointed? Sure. And most of all, it's about not working with Heidi, but we move on and things happen for a reason. I don't know what the reason is yet, but it will be revealed," Gunn concluded, hopeful for future opportunities.
As for Klum, she gears up to return to "Project Runway", a show that has seen considerable changes over the years, including hosting duties passed to Karlie Kloss and Christian Siriano. The new season will air on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu, keeping the legacy of fashion drama alive.

Philadelphia Eagles’ C.J. Gardner-Johnson Doubles Down on Taylor Swift Hate at Super Bowl Parade Despite Backlash
Philadelphia Eagles player CJ Gardner-Johnson had some choice words for Swifties.
The Super Bowl 2025 champion — who once played alongside Jason Kelce, whose brother Travis Kelce dates the superstar — wore a sweatshirt to the team’s victory parade on Friday, Feb. 14 that read: “Swifties can LIX my balls.”
This followed a post on Monday, Feb. 10 in which Gardner-Johnson posted an Instagram Story mocking Travis, insinuating he should have stayed with his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole rather than date Swift to win the Super Bowl.
The safety’s initial post led to a flood of backlash from fans on all sides, from Swifties to Eagles supporters. And in the days since, his mother’s restaurant in Florida has been inundated with negative reviews on Yelp.
Gardner’s controversial hoodie comes days after the “Fortnight” singer was booed when she appeared on the Jumbotron at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans during the game on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Angry Swift fans decided to attack his mom’s Florida restaurant, Kings Grill, and even claimed to have called ICE on her as payback.
‘Yes, we’ve seen all the reviews. The joke is really on the Swifties and everyone entertaining the reviews because Kings Grill is closed,’ Johnson told TMZ.
‘There is really no backlash because we are in the process of selling Kings Grill anyways. It didn’t affect us one way or another.
‘I have friends who were sending me the screenshots. They were going, “Oh my god, look at this!” And the first thing everyone said was, “the Swifties have attacked”.
But she added she is, ‘going to be fine regardless of who posts what or says anything’.
Johnson suffered an onslaught of bad reviews about her Rockledge restaurant in the days following the big game down in New Orleans.
It received several one-star reviews, branding it ‘horrible’ and ‘underwhelming’ before Yelp issued a warning about unusual activity on the page.

Chilli Reveals Bible Study Helped Her Prepare For Marriage To Actor Matthew Lawrence
Chilli has embraced a new outlook on love and commitment after getting more spiritual insight with bible study. To add, she’s apparently even more enthusiastic about marrying her longtime partner, actor Matthew Lawrence “soon.”
While appearing on 107.9 Atlanta’s Chosen Journey Show on Thursday (Feb. 13), the TLC star made the revelation that studying the Bible has influenced her perspective on marriage, leading her to reevaluate the “traditional” aspects of relationships. For her, it’s now become less about just romance and more about a deeper spiritual connection and understanding.
Amidst conversation, Chilli was also asked when she’d be walking down the aisle with the Boy Meets World star, to which she responded it would be “coming soon.”
Chilli and Lawrence confirmed their relationship in late 2022, when a rep from Chilli’s team told TMZ that they were “in an exclusive relationship.” They had been lying low for a while, keeping the status of their relationship under wraps, but around Thanksgiving and Christmas of that year, the two were spotted spending time in ATL where Chilli’s family resides.
The two were also spotted on the island of Waikiki, Hawaii in the Summer of 2021, although reportedly, they weren’t yet romantically involved.
The couple made their big debut via Instagram on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) as they danced together to a-ha’s 1985 timeless hit, “Take On Me,” all while wearing matching pajamas. “#newyearsshenanigans #onesiegang #wecute,” captioned the video.
Chilli’s news of a soon-to-be wedding comes after her ex-boyfriend Usher shared revelations of a failed proposal to the R&B singer last year amid Super Bowl 2024 hoopla.
The “Nice and Slow” crooner shared with PEOPLE that he once popped the question and was denied. “I wanted to marry her. I proposed and she told me no,” he admitted. “I went through a great deal of pain after that, not trusting women or wanting to open up.”
However, according to the same outlet, a “source close to” Chilli said that she was “unbothered by the recent hoopla involving her past relationship.”

Mexico Threatens to Sue Google Over “Gulf of America” Name Change

Mexico is threatening legal action against Google over its “Gulf of America” name update.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum warned Thursday that her government may sue Google for renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” on its maps platform. She argued that Trump’s executive order, which initiated the change, only applies to the U.S. continental shelf, not the entire body of water.
“Who we have a dispute with is Google,” Sheinbaum said, according to Bloomberg. “If they keep insisting, we’ll consider a lawsuit.”
Google Maps implemented the change Monday, reflecting the U.S. Geographic Names Information System update. In Mexico, the name remains Gulf of Mexico, while internationally, it appears as “Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America).” Apple Maps and Bing Maps have also made similar updates.
Sheinbaum previously sent a letter to Google opposing the move, emphasizing, “To change the name of an international sea, it is not a country that changes it. It is an international organization that does this,” per Al Jazeera.
Trump signed an executive order renaming the gulf on his first day in office, with the Interior Department announcing, “The Gulf of Mexico will now officially be known as the Gulf of America.”
The Encyclopedia Britannica has rejected the change, stating the gulf “is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.”
Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the administration’s stance, saying, “It is a fact that the body of water off the coast of Louisiana is called the Gulf of America.”
