#MAGFAB: Christina Aguilera For GLAMOUR Magazine August Issue!
In her cover story with GLAMOUR, five-time Grammy winner Christina Aguilera reflects upon 25 years since “Genie in a Bottle” and the backlash she received from pushing against the bubblegum, teeny-bopper persona. She shares “I think it was just a matter of believing so wholeheartedly in my vision, which was to fight for sexuality.” She also opens up about how ‘00s tabloid culture and the obsession with her body image affected her mental health, working on a new English-language album for her fans, and her proudest accomplishment – motherhood.

On the pain of being body shamed as a young star: “When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s. I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people: ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.’”

On feeling ‘burnt out’ from the bubblegum persona in her early career: “I didn’t love the bubblegum thing, where you had to play a virgin but not act like one. When I was performing ‘Genie’ and ‘What a Girl Wants’ and ‘Come on Over,’ I got bored easily. Creatively, it was one-dimensional. Literally every second [of my life then] was accounted for in a schedule. You can’t just live your life for work where it’s unenjoyable. You get burnt out.”
On using music to cope in her childhood years around her allegedly abusive father:“I don’t know if I would be the singer or performer I am, or have the success I do, had I not been through my childhood. It gave me a real purpose of, I’m going to fight my way through these feelings. I’m going to fight my way past someone that has wronged me.”

On ignoring the judgments and opinions of others and instilling this mindset in her children: “I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a fuck about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on. It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business. Your kids trigger things in you that you don’t want them to go through. And it’s almost like you’re reliving this whole thing again.”

On her appreciation for the early years of her career: “I think the biggest word that sums up that first record for me is grateful. Being thankful because it got my foot in the door. After 25 years I’m so proud of it. I think to sustain anything for a lengthy amount of time takes a lot of work and dedication and passion. There are many elements that go into being able to build something.”

#RHOA: Fans Warn Phaedra Parks About Mystery Man In New Photos After Rumored Breakup with Doctor Bae
Social media was set ablaze after “Real Housewives of Atlanta” OG Phaedra Parks made a splash at the Charles Oakley Foundation’s Black Tie Gala. But she was not alone.
Fans couldn’t help but wonder if the mystery man was Phaedra’s new beau, leaving them curious about what happened to the “Doctor bae” she introduced in 2023.
The event took place in Atlanta on Aug. 15, with the franchise’s peach-holding stars in attendance. While the ladies dazzled on the red carpet, the Atlanta attorney stole the spotlight with her new arm candy.

Fan account “The RHOA Talk” posted photos and a video of Phaedra and Cheick, showing her glowing while he maintained a stoic expression and him flexing his good looks in two different suits.
Their caption noted that Kone is an entrepreneur who owns both an auto company and a medical supply company. Tall, dark, and handsome, Kone made quite the impression on X users.
“She got herself a snack snack!” one fan commented. Another asked, “Who dis?”
His polished appearance led some to believe he might be wealthy.
“One thing Phaedra gone do is keep a man with a coin!” another follower said.
In a video from the event, Kone is seen being styled by someone who appears to be Nene Leakes’ boyfriend, Nyonisela Sioh, while cheekily saying, “Ooh, I’m trouble,” a playful nod to his looks. Sioh’s presence was lost on no one in the comments section.

One person added, “Not Nene’s man tailoring his suit. Him (Nene’s man), Patricia, and Messy Simon are all in cahoots now with this guy lol.”
Still, while some raved about his looks, not everyone bought into Kone’s charm. Some fans speculated that Phaedra might have linked up with a scammer, given his sharp style and mysterious vibe.
“He dated my friend and scammed her omgggg,” one person claimed. Another said, “This is giving me scammish vibes; again.”

The comment section was further filled with questions about Kone’s background and intentions.
“How old is he? He looks way younger than her!” one fan asked.
Others speculated he might be an actor hired to spice up Phaedra’s return to the show.
“Whose son did she rent? This reminds me of when Kenya used to hire boyfriends for a season,” joked another follower.
Bringing her ex-husband into the fold, one person said, “Where’s Apollo?” while another added, “What’s this kid got to teach Phaedra. Oh my God! Another Appallo 2.0.”

Phaedra never seems to have trouble attracting men, especially ones younger than her. But as her history with ex-husband Apollo Nida and a few others shows, keeping them out of trouble has been a challenge.
The couple married in 2009, but their marriage took a turn in 2014 when Apollo was sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud. This legal setback led Phaedra to file for divorce, which was finalized in 2017.
Apollo was released from prison and had shared custody of their sons, Ayden and Dylan, with the lawyer, but in March 2024 he was arrested and charged with family violence battery in Georgia over an alleged altercation with his current wife, Sherien Almufti, Page Six reported. It is unclear if that arrest impacted his custody arrangement.

Phaedra’s pattern of involvement with men facing legal issues didn’t end with Apollo. In 2016, she was linked to Tim Norman, a star of “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s.”
Their relationship ended abruptly when Norman was arrested in connection with a murder-for-hire plot targeting his nephew. The severity of the charges reportedly prompted Phaedra to distance herself, leading to their breakup.
Following this, Phaedra had a brief relationship with Chicago radio host Tone Kapone, which lasted only a few months.
She later entered a relationship with actor Medina Islam, a partnership that was featured on “Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition.” The relationship dissolved in 2020, with Islam seeking more intimacy than Phaedra was willing to offer. They, too, broke up.

Phaedra’s romantic life became a topic of discussion again when she joined “Married to Medicine” in season 10. During this time, she mentioned dating a physician, a relationship she spoke about at Bravocon in 2022.
On the show, she described the relationship as having lasted over a year, noting that the doctor was from another country, adding an “interesting” element to their dynamic.
“? Pump the brakes where is the pediatric cardiologist?” asked one person online.
However, details about this doctor remain scarce, other than the possible nickname “Mr. O,” and even Phaedra’s cast mate Dr. Heavenly Kimes expressed skepticism.

When questioned about the doctor in an interview with Atlanta Black Star, Dr. Heavenly responded, “Chile, next question, please, ’cause I don’t, you know. Ask her about it. I ain’t finna sit up here and lie to y’all asses. I’m not finna lie, OK.”
Phaedra later hinted that there was another “doctor” in her life, according to Page Six, in October 2023.
She initially joined the “RHOA” cast in 2010, but her stint on the show ended in 2017 after she admitted to fabricating a damaging rumor about cast mates Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker.
The accusation, which involved claims of a plot to drug and sexually assault Porsha Williams, led to her departure from the show. Phaedra also joined season 1 of the show “Traitors” earlier this year.
Now, as Phaedra returns to reality TV with a new relationship, audiences are closely watching to see how her storyline will unfold.

“I love how NBC/Bravo has eased Phaedra back on our tv screens,” one fan proclaimed.

#MusicNews: Bruno Mars puts on show at Inglewood's Intuit Dome after tech issues with fans entering arena
The $2 billion Intuit Dome, which will be the new home of the NBA's Clippers, officially opened as Bruno Mars performed the first of two concerts to inaugurate the venue.
The $2 billion Intuit Dome, which will be the new home of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers, officially opened Thursday night as Grammy winner Bruno Mars performed the first of two concerts to inaugurate the venue.

Mars was set to take the stage at 8 p.m. but the show began just before 10 p.m. after technical snags led to delays. Thousands of people were kept waiting outside, apparently due to a problem with the facial recognition system at the arena slowing down the entry process.

The Grammy winner put on a show once the concert began and fans were treated to a surprise appearance by Lady Gaga. The two stars performed their new song, "Die With a Smile."
Earlier in the evening, a ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the opening of the arena.

"I'm excited about the Clippers. I love the stadium," concertgoer Bettie Tillman said. "I'm excited about Bruno Mars, most. I'm mostly excited about the new beginning here in Inglewood."
Southern California's newest venue has been years in the making. It spans 26 acres of land in Inglewood and has almost 18,000 seats. Construction on the Intuit Dome officially began in September 2021 near the corner of Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue, south of SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum.

"We're now a center for social excellence, economic resurgence and great diversity in our population," said Inglewood Mayor James Butts. "But now, we will have the newest, grandest stadium in the world, SoFi, and the newest, grandest arena in the world - the Intuit Dome. There are no words."

The proximity of the Forum initially created a legal snag for the project, with then-owner Madison Square Garden Co. suing the Clippers and Inglewood, claiming the new venue violated a non-competition clause of the Forum's operating agreements with the city. In 2020, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer found a unique solution to resolve the lawsuit -- by purchasing the Forum from MSG for $400 million.

The Forum remains primarily a music venue, and while Intuit Dome has already landed a series of high-profile concerts, its main purpose will be to house the Clippers, who have long shared the downtown Crypto.com Arena with the Lakers.
Ballmer has insisted Intuit Dome would be a technological marvel, most notably for the two-sided "Halo Board" scoreboard that encircles the arena with nearly an acre of lighting. There are even T-shirt cannons mounted on the board so every seat has a chance to grab a shirt.

The arena also includes five basketball courts -- the game court, two practice courts, one promotional court and one court on the outdoor plaza. In addition, it features 86,000 square feet of training, medical and player spaces, including an indoor pool, and an 80,000-square-foot outdoor plaza that features two bars, a restaurant and 5,000-square-foot team store.

The seating area features what is known as "The Wall," a 51-row section with strict rules designed to ensure only Clippers fans are admitted -- through restrictions on ticket resale and the wearing of opposing team gear.
The arena is also highlighted by a half-dozen public artworks created by local artists, including murals, sculptures and digital displays.
People attending events at arena will have to download the Intuit Dome app and create an account to enter the venue. Once the account is created, ticketholders can set up a "Game Face ID" that allows them to walk directly into the arena without displaying a ticket, or use an "Identity Pass" that requires people to scan a smartphone ticket to enter.

The arena is also cashless, so people must upload a payment method onto the Intuit Dome app to make concession and retail store purchases.

#HipHopNews: NBA YoungBoy Is Expected To Plead Guilty In Federal Case

NBA YoungBoy’s career has taken a challenging path following his initial rise to success. While the popular Lousiana emcee is revered by his fans as one of the best artists of his generation, his legal troubles have stifled his growth and made it harder for him to reach the heights he was poised to go.

Friday (Aug. 16), more tough news came for the “Make No Sense” rapper. In a report from WAFB 9, they stated, “Rap performer NBA Youngboy intends to enter a guilty plea and have his federal weapons case transferred from Baton Rouge to Utah for further proceedings. Defense attorney Drew Findling filed the necessary paperwork earlier this week for the rapper whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden.”

When breaking down the charges, they explained, “Gaulden is charged with a count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon stemming from a 2020 music video shoot in Baton Rouge.” This news comes after NBA YoungBoy was moved to Utah during his legal proceedings to escape his hometown.

While fighting gun possession charges in Baton Rouge, NBA YoungBoy and his colleagues have reportedly been accused of running a large-scale prescription drug ring out of multiple pharmacies in Utah.
NBA YoungBoy is known by many for his battle-tested tracks and undeniable work ethic. He has worked with A-List rappers like Lil Yachty, Shy Glizzy, Young Thug, Migos, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, and many more. While he has gone bar for bar with some of the best, he’s also been a controversial topic amongst other emcees. Artists like Lil Durk, J. Cole, and more have gone back and forth with the talented bar spitter on wax.

With multiple children, including one with Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, it would be a shame to see him taken away from his family. It is unclear how much time, if any, he will serve once he officially pleads guilty in his federal case.

Phil Donahue, Legendary Daytime Talk Show Host, Dies at 88

Renowned “King of Daytime Talk” Phil Donahue, who created and hosted the The Phil Donahue Show, died on Sunday, Aug. 18 at the age of 88,
In a statement first reported by the Today show on Monday, Aug. 19, Donahue's family said the groundbreaking TV talk show journalist died in his home surrounded by his family including his wife of 44 years — actress Marlo Thomas — as well as "his sister, his children, grandchildren and his beloved golden retriever, Charlie."

The statement noted he "passed away peacefully following a long illness."
Donahue's family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Phil Donahue/Notre Dame Scholarship Fund.

Born on Dec. 21, 1935, Donahue grew up in Cleveland and began his media career in the late 1950s in talk radio and television. He started his eponymous talk show in 1967 in Dayton, Ohio. The show gained credibility and acclaim for tackling controversial topics and taking viewers behind bars for a weeklong series at the Ohio state penitentiary in 1971.

The Phil Donahue Show devoted its hour-long broadcast to single issues including child abuse in the Catholic Church, feminism and race relations, and it was the first to allow audience members to ask guests questions. In 1974, once he relocated the show to Chicago and changed its name to Donahue, the host found his niche while innovating the daytime format.

"When Phil came to Chicago, he found his most important element — the Chicago studio audience," Ron Weiner, the former director of Donahue, told WGN-TV in 2023. "From that point, the program really took off."
Donahue added, "One day, I just went out in the audience, and it's clear there would be no Donahue show if I hadn't somehow accidentally brought in the audience."

The show then moved to New York City in January 1985. While broadcasting live from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Donahue continued to break new ground in daytime TV, interviewing politicians, activists, musicians, athletes and actors.
He was the pioneering host to tape five episodes in the Soviet Union in January 1987, per the Tampa Bay Times. In March 1990, Donahue interviewed Nelson Mandela in his first appearance on a talk show via satellite from Lusaka, Zambia. The show hosted the leading televised debate between Democratic presidential contenders Bill Clinton and Jerry Brown Jr. in April 1992 — without an audience, moderator or commercial break.

Other notable celebrity guests over the years included Sammy Davis Jr., Ralph Nader, Elton John, Gloria Steinem, Gregory Peck, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Dolly Parton, Muhammad Ali, Michael J. Fox, Roseanne Barr, Steve Martin, Richard Pryor and many more.
Donahue went on to win 20 Emmy Awards (10 for outstanding host and 10 for the talk show itself) and pave the way for other daytime hosts such as Geraldo Rivera, Sally Jesse Raphael, Ricki Lake, Montel Williams and Oprah Winfrey — whose show, like Donahue's, had roots in Chicago.

"If there had been no Phil Donahue show, there would be no Oprah Winfrey Show," Winfrey wrote in the September 2002 issue of O, the Oprah Magazine. "He was the first to acknowledge that women are interested in more than mascara tips and cake recipes — that we're intelligent, we're concerned about the world around us and we want the best possible lives for ourselves.
New York City remained the talk show's home until its final taping after 29 years on air in September 1996. Following a six-year hiatus, its namesake returned to primetime TV in 2002 to host Donahue, an interview-driven program. However, MSNBC canceled the self-titled show in February 2003 due to low viewership, per The New York Times. After the show's cancellation, he wrote, co-directed and produced the 2007 documentary Body of War.
Donahue married his second wife, Thomas, in 1980 after the two first met in 1977 when she was a guest on his talk show. In a throwback post on Facebook, Thomas shared that "it was instant chemistry." The couple later co-authored the book What Makes a Marriage Last: 40 Celebrated Couples Share with Us the Secrets to a Happy Life in 2020.

In May 2023, Thomas revealed that "love, listening and lust" were the keys to her happy marriage to Donahue.
She said, "You have to listen, and then you'll know what the other person is really thinking and going through. You have to love each other. And without lust, you don't have anything," before adding, "He's the best. I'm very lucky."

In May 2024, Donahue was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden, alongside Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky and Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh
Donahue is survived by Thomas and four children — Michael, Kevin, Daniel and Mary Rose — from his first marriage. He is predeceased by son James "Jim" Patrick, who died in 2014 of an aortic aneurysm at the age of 51.

JAY-Z Hosts Star-Studded 40/40 Club Pop-Up At Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Fest

JAY-Z gave sports “fanatics” a test-run of what’s to possibly come with the return of his 40/40 Club in Manhattan. With his 40/40 Club Pop-Up event, taking place at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Fest in NYC Friday (Aug. 16), celebrities in music, sports, and beyond sampled the vibes to come.

Reports indicate that the Brooklyn native is working to re-open the former hot spot in 2025, with 40/40 Club Vice President of Operations, Sheldon Robinson, telling Us Weekly, “It’s always been the plan to open a new spot. Finding the right location that makes sense to the brand is key, and that takes some time. We’ve narrowed it down to our last few choices and now we’re in the negotiation phase.”

Robinson added, “Hopefully by the end of this year we’ll have a lease signed and we can break ground. The idea is that we’ll have a club in 2025.”
The original 40/40 Club, located 6 West 25th Street, ran for 20 years before shutting its doors in 2023. Robinson insists that the legacy of the lux sports bar remains important to the billionaire wordsmith.

“Jay definitely wants to keep it as part of his legacy,” Robinson revealed, adding that he’s been “very involved,” making his presence known “at site locations and in meetings.”
In the meantime, Hov hosted an exclusive list of guests at the nostalgic pop-up, including Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, DJ Khaled, Taylor Rooks, Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Stephen A. Smith, Tiffany Haddish, Quavo, Wale, Freeway, and more.

Marlon Wayans enlists “Not Like Us” to end Twitter feud with DJ Vlad
Marlon Wayans has signaled the end of a mild back-and-forth between he and DJ Vlad. The two men have been at odds on social media for two days. His mic drop came Sunday (Aug. 18) when he tweeted game over along with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Earlier that morning, Wayans unleashed a string of tweets clowning the Vlad TV creator for his hair transformation. His comedic quips included comparing before and after photos of the media personally to scenes in Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” music video, as well as stating that his beard looked like it had been stripped from an animal struck on a roadway.

But the multi-hyphenate entertainer took his gloves off when he wrote, “See DJ Vlad, this is the moment you’ve been begging for. I asked you to LEAVE ME ALONE. Let it go. But you want to kick a bee’s nest. You can’t compete with me, bro. I AM [A] LEGEND. And occasionally I’ll come off the throne to spar with [peons] like you. Keep going. There’s levels to this s**t.” He also declared that his cyber foe was “hated by the urban community” as he asked, “[You] mad you can’t exploit me?”

The Ukrainian-American businessman was hardly humored by the jabs. His rebuttal included suggesting that Wayans is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and that he take his on-screen talents to the adult content industry.
While the comedy veteran had been letting jokes fly, he noted that Vlad’s approach was to “exploit Blacks and punch down on gays.” The New York native has been openly supportive of the community, even revealing that he is the proud father of two children, one of whom identifies as transgender.

The onset of the exchange of barbs was ignited on Friday (Aug. 16) when the comedian’s fans caught wind of an interview Vlad did with “Mad TV” alum Aries Spears. At one point during the conversation, the interviewer disclosed that Wayans would only agree to a sit-down on the controversial VladTV platform if he was paid a $40,000 fee and that he received 30 percent of the residual income generated by what likely would have been a lengthy discussion spliced into numerous videos generating endless views.

The terms were never agreed on, and the comic has yet to appear on the YouTube channel. When one of the “Bel-Air” actor’s supporters tweeted that he should have asked for more, Wayans lightheartedly responded, “See, I tried to tell him I was giving him deal…oh well.” From there, Vlad went on to call the Respect standout “delusional.”

Chris Brown Leaves Fans 'Pissed Off' With Newly Shaved Head
Chris Brown has marked the end of an era in his career with a new look. As he recently wrapped his "11:11 Tour", the R&B star has debuted his freshly shaved head on social media that has left his fans divided.
On Sunday, August 18, the 35-year-old took to his Instagram Story to post a new mirror selfie. In the image, the singer's hair was completely shaved off as he went shirtless, showing off an array of tattoos decorating his body.
Breezy hinted in the caption that he's gearing up to record new music and is looking forward to following it up with a tour again. "FRESH START. Studio then stadiums," he wrote over the snap.

Chris' jaw-dropping look has quickly garnered mixed responses from his fans, with one Instagram user writing underneath The Shade Room's post of his selfie, "Why does he look like he just came home from doing 10???" Another mocked him, "Chris Brown Looks Like He Just Got Home Military Training Camp."

"Grow it back neoooowwwww," a third person demanded. A fourth person remarked, "This is not it. Looking like an inmate." Echoing the sentiment that Chris' new look gives off inmate vibes, others wrote comments that read, "He look like he just served 9 years," "Prison Break Vibes" and "It's definitely giving prison bae . I don't like it."

"He just piss me off so bad," another fan penned, as another similarly reacted, "this just pissed me off ngl." Someone admitted, "I don't like what I see actually," while another added, "Imma stick beside em but we definitely finna have a talk ."
Some others, however, begged to differ, with one saying, "Looks good regardless." Another commented, "He eats every hairstyle like me!! Awwww purrrrrr." Someone gushed, "and still looks good at watever he does."

Defending the "Beautiful People" crooner, a fan argued, "He still fine asf idc us as women be having to big chop sometimes and his was fried , dyed , and laid to the side . He probably just wanted a fresh start." One other said, "And he STILL fine. Bald head and all. Hell is wrong with y'all."

Why Bethenny Frankel Believes Fans Are Turning on Blake Lively Amid It Ends with Us Drama
Frankel compared Lively to Jennifer Lopez -- saying, "Her audience got waterboarded and didn't want it."
Bethenny Frankel is giving her take on why everyone's crosshairs are on Blake Lively right now.

The former star of The Real Housewives of New York City took to Instagram to explained why she believes fans and media are turning on Lively amid her ongoing It Ends With Us drama.
What started as speculation about why she and costar/director Justin Baldoni appeared to be at odds during the press tour for the movie -- about domestic violence -- Lively has since been criticized by those on social media for, as they see it, focusing more on fashionable red carpet moments, promoting her Betty Buzz cocktail mixers and Blake Brown haircare line, and appearing rude or flippant in both new and throwback interviews with press.

Frankel began her video by prefacing that she doesn't personally know Lively, but has had Baldoni on her podcast and worked with Lively's publicist early on in her career for a "brief period of time."
"Celebrities have now reached a fever pitch of trying to triple- and quadruple-dip in monetizing businesses other than their core business,” the 53-year-old then told her followers. "It's become a common practice to try to really bum-rush and smash and grab as much as you possibly can at the same time."

"So if she's dressed and in hair and makeup doing press tour for a movie, leaving her family and kids and so is he [Ryan Reynolds], she is going to maximize it," Frankel said, before comparing Lively to Jennifer Lopez's situation earlier this year where she was "marketing two movies, her drink, her relationship [with Ben Affleck], her album and a tour."
"Her audience got waterboarded and didn’t want it," she added.

Frankel went on to point out the "sensitive subject" matter of the film -- before adding, "promoting a cocktail brand, a haircare product and to be talking so much in a light hearted way about a topic for most people, for women in particular ... you are all a very savvy audience and it's just not sitting well."
"You can't fit 25 pounds of s--t in a five-pound bag. It will explode, and then you'll have s--t all over you," she concluded.
Frankel's caption paired with the video explained why she believed she should comment on the current controversy making headlines around the world:

"As someone who grew up in a domestic violence home and who has experience in the monetization of media, I think this is the perfect storm, a cautionary tale and a convergence of mishandled circumstances and over communication without sensitivity to the subject matter. I also believe the higher the pedestal we place people on, the harder they fall. I don't believe in pile on cancelation. I believe in learning from our own and other people's blind spots and mistakes," Frankel wrote.

Speculation of a feud between Lively and Baldoni is what kicked this situation off.
It seemingly began after Baldoni did not appear in any photos with Lively and fellow cast members at the film's New York premiere on Tuesday. Then, actress Jenny Slate, who plays Allyssa, gave a bizarre answer when asked about working with Baldoni during an interview with Deadline on the red carpet, with her response further igniting rumors that something happened with Lively and Baldoni.

It lead to sleuths on TikTok discovering that Lively, Hoover, and the other cast members don't follow Baldoni on Instagram, but he follows them. Fans also pointed out that Baldoni has been absent from group promotional events with Lively and the rest of the cast, and has been doing press solo.

Others also suggested Lively and Baldoni appeared to be promoting the film very differently, with Lively leaning into fashionable red carpet moments and participating in prank videos ... while Baldoni has been focusing more on how the movie depicts domestic violence, bringing more awareness to the issue.

Another possible reason for the feud: Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, rewrote a scene in the film.
Later came allegations from TMZ that Lively felt "fat shamed" by Baldoni and was allegedly uncomfortable when "the two engaged in a kissing scene and Blake felt he lingered longer than he should have with the kiss."

She's since been slammed for her behavior in a number of interviews, both new and from years ago, adding to the pile-on.
So far, neither Baldoni nor Lively have commented on the situation.
It Ends With Us is in theaters now.

Tina Knowles just learned the real meaning behind Beyoncé’s “Ego” lyrics

Tina Knowles reveals she’s just now learning what Beyoncé meant when she sang about her man’s “Ego” being too big and
Tina Knowles may be among the first to hear Beyoncé’s music, but that does not mean she always knows exactly what her daughter is singing about. Mama Tina hilariously revealed that she missed the tongue-in-cheek innuendos that the Grammy Award-winner dished out in her 2008 song “Ego.”

The sexy ode about what she loves most about her man is featured on the global superstar’s double-disc album I Am… Sasha Fierce. On the chorus, Beyoncé sings, “It's too big (big), it's too wide (wide), it's too strong (strong), it won't fit (fit), it's too much (much), it's too tough (tough), He talk like this 'cause he can back it up / He got a big ego, such a huge ego, I love his big ego, it's too much, he walk like this 'cause he can back it up.”

A remix featuring Kanye West was released that same year, though his verse made it clear that his ego could be found below the waist. Yet Knowles comically missed the hints in the lyrics. While re-sharing a post of the male hosts of the “Can I Vibe With Y’all” podcast, as they sipped wine and danced to the song, she revealed, “Wow! I just realized that she wasn't talking about that ego! Oh my! I'm serious, I really didn't know till now! That's crazy! Nooo! Really? Maybe not! I don't know! What y'all think?”

Fans were humored by the admission as they reacted to the discovery in the comments of her Instagram post. A follower wrote, “Mama T, I think Blue is about to call you.” In May, the Cécred haircare collaborator revealed that Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s firstborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, has been known to check her social media habits.

“Every once in a while, I’ll get a call from Blue, and she’ll say, ‘Grandma, that’s really whack what you just did. That’s really whack. You should delete that. Really, you should delete that,’” she said on Vogue’s “The Run-Through” podcast. She also admitted she does not take the teenager’s advice.

Another person commented, “Lol just like she sang on ‘Soldier’: ‘Known to carry big things if you know what I mean.’” And a third individual commented, “This is why I love music. You can express yourself subliminally, but you have to know how [to] read between the lines to get the message.”

Halle Berry Seeking Sole Custody of Son Maceo, Claims Ex Oliver Martinez Refuses to Co-Parent
Halle Berry is seeking sole custody of her 10-year-old son, Maceo. The 58-year-old actress claims that his father, Oliver Martinez, “refuses to co-parent or communicate in a child-centered way,” according to a filing obtained via People.
The news comes after she alleged that her 58-year-old ex-husband failed to continue seeing a co-parenting coach.

Halle is requesting custody, “or in the alternative, tie-breaking authority to make all decisions” about his education, health and therapy needs.
The documents were filed in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County. The paperwork also comes a year after the ex-couple finalized their divorce, nearly eight years after their 2015 split. They agreed to share joint legal custody of their son, with Halle paying Oliver $8,000 a month in child support and an additional “4.3% of any income she receives above $2,000,000.”

In the latest filing, she claims she’s made an effort to address her son’s “educational challenges” and behavioral concerns as she “fought for tutoring, an educational assessment and finding an environment that was suitable to Maceo’s needs.”

Oliver has been “oppositional, unmoving and withheld his consent for years,” the filing claims.
“Because of Respondent’s opposition to any interventions whatsoever for years and because of Respondent’s prioritizing soccer activities over Maceo’s educational and psychological well-being, Maceo’s educational and behavioral challenges worsened, and he continued to fall further behind in school,” the document also claims, going on to say Maceo would “act out” toward her following “longer periods of custody” with his father and that her son would “repeat disputes” that the former couple had in private.

Halle says Oliver claimed the boy was “old enough to make his own decisions.”
A lawyer for Oliver said he will be “responding to these allegations” in the coming weeks.

Erica Lee Carter Announces Run to Finish Late Mother Sheila Jackson Lee’s Congressional Term | WATCH

*Erica Lee Carter, daughter of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, announced her candidacy for the special election to complete her mother’s term in the 18th Congressional District.
The election, scheduled for November 5, coincides with the general election. NAACP Houston President James Dixon, who initially planned to run, pledged to withdraw in favor of Carter and support her campaign. Dixon confirmed he would not be running in either the special or general election, KHOU 11 reports.

“After careful consideration, the answer is YES,” Carter said in the news release announcing her intention to run.
Dixon’s office released a statement, saying, “Upon learning of Erica Lee Carter’s decision to seek being elected to finish her mother’s unexpired term, Bishop James Dixon immediately follows through on his commitment to give her his total support,” it read in part.

“I thank Erica for her gracious phone call earlier today. Her desire to finish her mother’s term is both admired and respected. The strength that she is showing by taking this step is a reminder that she is definitely Sheila’s daughter,” the statement continued.
Jackson Lee passed away on July 19, two months after revealing her pancreatic cancer diagnosis. The special election will determine her replacement for the remainder of her term, which concludes in January.

“Together, we will finish for my Mom,” Carter said in her announcement. “The Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee.”

Former Rep. George Santos expected to plead guilty on charges related to campaign fraud
Former GOP Rep. George Santos is expected to plead guilty on Monday to multiple charges related to campaign finance fraud, less than a month from when his trial was set to begin, two sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News.
The disgraced former lawmaker faces a 23-count superseding indictment in the Eastern District of New York, including charges of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and making materially false statements to the Federal Election Commission.

The superseding indictment is in addition to a 13-count federal indictment on charges of wire fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds that Santos was hit with in May 2023.
Santos had previously pleaded not guilty in both cases.
A lawyer for Santos did not return NBC News’ requests for comment. Negotiations for a plea deal were already taking place late last year, months after Santos’ indictment, and after a September 2024 trial date had already been set.

At the time, Santos told a CBS New York reporter that a plea deal was “not off the table, obviously, at this point.”
A hearing for the guilty plea is scheduled in federal court for Monday at 3 p.m.

A spokesperson for the FBI and a spokesperson for the Eastern District of New York’s U.S. Attorney declined to comment to NBC News.
Santos was elected in 2022, when he flipped a Long Island, N.Y., congressional seat from Democrats to Republicans, helping cement a narrow GOP majority in the House.
Just a few weeks before the start of his term, the New York Times revealed that Santos had lied or embellished certain parts of his resume and personal history.

In December 2023, over two-thirds of Santos’ House colleagues voted to expel him from Congress, formally removing him from his congressional seat

Brian McKnight Concert Tickets Slashed After Fan Boycott Over Family Dispute

R&B singer Brian McKnight has found himself in the midst of a public relations crisis, as fans continue to express their discontent over his treatment of his three eldest children. For months, an unofficial boycott has been building against McKnight, with former fans refusing to support his music and live performances. The controversy recently reached a tipping point when McKnight was forced to cancel a show in Detroit after ticket sales plummeted, reportedly due to the ongoing boycott.

The discontent among fans stems from what many perceive as McKnight’s mistreatment of his older children, a situation that has been widely discussed and criticized on social media. The fallout has been severe, with fans voicing their disappointment in the singer, whose soulful ballads once made him a beloved figure in R&B.

The impact of the boycott is now being felt in McKnight’s concert ticket sales. According to recent reports, tickets for his upcoming shows have been significantly discounted, with some selling for nearly half off on platforms like Groupon. For example, tickets for a 2024 show in Washington, D.C., are now being offered at a reduced price on Groupon .
The steep discounts on McKnight’s concert tickets are a clear indication of the backlash he is facing. Despite his efforts to continue performing, the public’s response to the family controversy seems to be having a tangible effect on his career.

This situation serves as a reminder and the influence of social media in holding public figures accountable. As McKnight navigates this turbulent period, it remains to be seen how—or if—he will address the concerns of his estranged fans and attempt to rebuild his once-stellar reputation.

Nicki Minaj Settles “Nosey Heaux” Lawsuit Following Cokehead Allegations
Marley Green was forced to apologize to Minaj, admit she fabricated the story and refrain from mentioning the rapper and cocaine or she’ll be slapped with a fine.
Nicki Minaj has reportedly settled her 2022 lawsuit against vlogger Marley Green, who goes by “Nosey Heaux” on social media.
Minaj filed the lawsuit after Green accused the rapper of being a “cokehead” and other outrageous claims. According to court documents shared by reporter Meghann Cuniff, Green was forced to apologize to Minaj, admit she fabricated the story and refrain from mentioning Minaj and cocaine or she’ll be slapped with a fine.

In the settlement, Green conceded never had any evidence of Nicki Minaj using or abusing cocaine or any other illicit drug. Consequently, she must refrain from talking about Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, or their child. She also can’t re-tweet anything that paints Minaj in a negative light. If Green breaches the agreement, she’ll have to pay Minaj $50,000 for each violation.
“‘Heaux acknowledges and admits that (a) any and all statements which she has ever made about Maraj using and/or abusing cocaine were false,” the docs read. ““Heaux hereby apologizes…” Green has agreed to never say anything about Minaj being “engaged in conduct which reflects poorly on Maraj’s integrity.”

Nicki Minaj filed the defamation lawsuit against Marley Green in September 2022. She alleged Green had made derogatory and false statements about her, including the cocaine allegation. The lawsuit sought damages for the harm caused to Minaj’s reputation. Minaj and her legal team stated that Green’s remarks were baseless and intended to tarnish her public image.

Green responded to Nicki Minaj’s defamation lawsuit by denying the allegations and standing by her statements. Green argued that her comments were protected under free speech and claimed she was being unfairly targeted for expressing her opinions. She also stated that Minaj was using her platform and influence to intimidate and silence critics.
Green initially didn’t back down and maintained she had the right to voice her thoughts and opinions, even if they were controversial. Her response framed the lawsuit as an attempt by a powerful celebrity to suppress dissenting voices.

After Green’s response, Minaj and her legal team took further steps to pursue the case. They doubled down on their claims, emphasizing that Green’s statements weren’t just opinions but false and defamatory allegations that caused harm to Minaj’s reputation. Minaj’s team sought to demonstrate that Green’s remarks were made with malicious intent and without any factual basis.

Minaj’s lawyers continued to push for damages and possibly a court-ordered retraction of the statements. Their actions sent a strong message about the consequences of making defamatory statements, particularly against public figures like Minaj. The legal proceedings highlighted Minaj’s commitment to protecting her reputation and holding those accountable, who she believed were spreading harmful falsehoods.

Rihanna Reportedly Set To Release Ninth Studio Album After Years Of Delays-Report

Get ready for Rihanna’s highly anticipated ninth studio album. After eight years, the wait is finally over!
Rihanna is reportedly set to release her ninth studio album. The “Diamonds” hitmaker is believed to be preparing for her first record release in eight years.

The Sun published quotes from an unnamed “well-placed industry insider” claiming Rihanna, 36, is gearing up to unveil a new album, having already recorded and thrown out an entire record’s worth of material.
“It’s been a running joke how long Rihanna’s ninth album has taken to be released, but finally the wait is almost over,” the insider reportedly said.

“Because she wants it to sound fresh, and because of where Rihanna is at in her life, practically everything was scrapped.”
The source added Rihanna had experimented with a number of different genres before deciding nothing she’d worked on was good enough.
“She has gone from pop to reggae to hip hop and everything in between,” the source reportedly told the outlet.
Rihanna’s last album, Anti, dropped in 2016.

Since then, the singer has started a family with her partner, A$AP Rocky, 35, giving birth to their son, RZA, in May 2022. He was followed by a sister, Riot Rose, born in August 2023.
An entrepreneur, Rihanna has also been busy building up her reported net worth of more than $1.4 billion (£1.1 billion) via her highly successful Fenty cosmetics and Savage X Fenty lingerie businesses.

Hurricane Chris Criticizes 50 Cent for Excluding Louisiana Artists from Shreveport “Humor & Harmony” Festival
Hurricane Chris had some strong words for 50 Cent after the rapper-turned-mogul hosted a four-day event in Shreveport, Louisiana, without including any local Louisiana legends on the lineup.
The event, called “Humor & Harmony,” ran from August 8th to August 11th and featured comedy shows, parties, concerts, celebrity basketball games, and car shows. Artists like Keith Sweat and Flo Rida headlined the concerts, but this didn’t sit well with Louisiana rapper Hurricane Chris. He took to social media to express his frustration, accusing 50 Cent of exploiting the state.

“How the fck are you supposed to be a part of hip-hop, and you throw a motherfcking concert in Louisiana without booking any Louisiana legends? You didn’t put any money in Louisiana legends’ pockets, but you paid the police half a million dollars,” Chris began. “What type of btch a** sht is that? You ain’t f*cking with my city. You’re taking advantage of my city because it’s cheap and costs way less than where you’re from.”

Hurricane Chris also criticized those who supported 50 Cent’s festival for not encouraging him to include Louisiana artists.
“Y’all gonna let this man come down here and show no love to Louisiana?” Chris continued. “He didn’t book Big Poppa, Big Will, or Hurricane. He didn’t even go to Baton Rouge to get Boosie or Webbie. He’s not fcking with us; he just came to take advantage of Shreveport’s cheap land. He bought that sht and doesn’t care about f*cking with us. He just showed that.”

In the caption of his Instagram post, Chris tagged 50 Cent, calling out the people around him for not understanding Louisiana’s culture and needs because they’re from New York.
“The people around @50cent are from New York, even the ones who live in Shreveport,” Chris wrote in the caption. “They are trying to gatekeep someone who could have really made a difference. I challenge you to let me show you our community and the things that the rotten people around you have hidden. We are the fourth worst-educated state in America. Murder happens daily, and our youth is lost. None of the people around you know what the city needs.”

Despite Chris’s heated rant, it’s worth noting that the concert lineup did include Louisiana artists Fredo Bang and Master P. However, Chris seemed to be advocating for more representation specifically from Shreveport, telling one commenter, “Shreveport has our own artists,” in response to their point about the two performers.
