#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Hard Launches Boyfriend LePrince At ‘RHOA’ Season 17 Premiere Event
The Real Housewives of Atlanta has reached Season 17, and OG cast member Cynthia Bailey (these days, a friend of the cast) came out to celebrate the season premiere. The 59-year-old brought a special guest: her musician boyfriend LePrince, 39, whom she’s been dating since 2024.

The two were captured having fun at the premiere, vibing out and dancing at a table they were seated at. LePrince is a Surinamese-Dutch musician who mixes reggae music with dance and techno sounds, touted as “reggaetronic.”
For those who didn’t realize Ms. Bailey had a man, their relationship made headlines in March 2025 when they were spotted together at Los Angeles International Airport. The model wasn’t quite ready for the world to know his identity, but once he was unveiled, she shared some details about how they operate.

“Now, we can’t go anywhere, but you know what? The cat is out of the bag,” she told TMZ at the time. “[We’re] still staying off social media. I personally just don’t feel like social media is a place that promotes love. It’s very toxic, and I’ve been through it.”
The supermodel added, “I’ve been through marriages, through divorces, and I’ve met someone I really like, and I just really want a fair chance to just kind of get to know him, not in a public way.”

Bailey kept her word about keeping their relationship low-key and offline, as we haven’t seen much of them on social media beyond a few public outings. However, the reality TV star said her goal is to keep their relationship private, but not hidden.
She was also able to exhale once the public found out who the one-time mystery man was.

“It’s kind of a relief, because now we can just really be outside and not worry about like ducking anyone,” she said last year. “We’re very free now, just not on social media.”
While LePrince’s identity wasn’t revealed until 2025, the supermodel told the world in August 2024 that she was dating a younger guy, and things were going well back in August 2024. She also shared that news again while at the Bravo Fan Fest red carpet in Miami in November 2025.

Bailey has had a public love life for quite some time. Dedicated fans have watched her fall in and out of love with the likes of Leon Robinson (with whom she shares daughter Noelle), Peter Thomas, and Mike Hill. She says her relationships have shaped who she is now.

“I don’t regret any of my marriages,” Cynthia told Access Atlanta in May 2023. ”I don’t regret any of my relationships. Those men were all a part of my story. They were a part of my journey. And I’ve grown and become better with each man, each experience. I don’t live life with regrets. It’s all a part of my story. It’s all a part of my journey.”

#HipHopNews: Trick Daddy’s Performance During Alpha Kappa Alpha Conference Shut Down Early
Trick Daddy totally ignored the guidelines put in place while performing at an Alpha Kappa Alpha conference.
In the year of our lord, 2026 AD, why in the world are you booking Trick Daddy to perform for aunties and grannies at an Alpha Kappa Alpha conference?

That is the question many people are asking after footage of the performance, featuring the Miami rapper reciting his very obscene lyrics, leading to a mass exodus of attendees before his performance was eventually shut down by the sorority.
According to a statement from Tiffany Moore Russell, the South Atlantic Regional Director for Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.®, the performance failed to meet the standards and requirements they discussed prior to the performance.

So, basically, Trick Daddy did what the hell he wanted to.
The statement shared by Philip Lewis reads:

To my sisters who are attending the 73rd South Atlantic Regional Conference:

Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. ®, South Atlantic Region, contracted with Trick Daddy, a rapper from Miami to perform a selected list of songs after our Step and Stroll Competition on Friday night. We met several times with him and his team to detail our requirements, inlcuding attire, lanuguage and specific songs. Unfortunately, our requirements were ignored.

The language, the lyrics, and the comments made by the artist were no acceptable n. I ended the performance because of the disrespect for our organization and for our brand.

Social Media Is Confused About Trick Daddy Being Booked For The Event
Even though Trick Daddy clearly didn’t follow any of the instructions and guidelines put in place for his performance, many are still wondering why he was booked in the first place.
Bruh. It’s a very safe bet Trick Daddy will never be booked for another AKA event in his life.

Judge Mathis' Wife Files to Dismiss Divorce, Officially Back Together Now

Looks like Judge Mathis and Linda Reese Mathis are rock solid these days -- she's officially calling off the divorce, according to court docs obtained by TMZ.
Linda had filed for divorce a few years back ... but, on Monday, she filed a request to dismiss the case without prejudice. The clerk entered the dismissal the next day.

Linda separated from the TV judge in July 2024 and filed divorce docs the following month, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason she was calling it quits on their 39-year marriage
But they were back together by November ... telling TMZ at the time that they'd worked things out.

And late last year, they went on the "Tamron Hall Show" together to talk about how they overcame their short-lived break.
Judge Mathis told Tamron the split was as devastating as when he lost his mother, saying ... "I'd do anything to get my mother back. So I did anything to get my wife back."
Linda told the talk show host they "did a lot of work" to get their relationship back on track, explaining ... "We learned each other again. We enjoyed our time doing that each and every day."

While the longtime loves have been back together for a while now ... these new court docs show the divorce case is now officially in the rearview mirror.

Kimora Lee Simmons Reveals She and Tyra Banks ‘Haven’t Talked in a Very Long Time’
Kimora Lee Simmons revealed that she and longtime friend Tyra Banks haven’t spoken in a while.
“Tyra is one of my kids' godmothers, as well. Although we haven't talked in a very long time," the Baby Phat founder, 50, said during the Tuesday, April 7, episode of the “Aspire With Emma Grede” podcast. "We used to be very, very close. I started Top Model with her."

Simmons further shared that she was not approached to participate in the hit Netflix documentary about America’s Next Top Model, despite appearing on the reality show’s inaugural season as a judge. Still, Simmons was tuned in to the eye-opening docuseries.
"It was a crazy moment in time, I think a lot of the things they talk about in it … a lot of what was portrayed leading up to the documentary ... were true. Were very true,” she recalled of the controversial reality TV show. “Treacherous moments, with models.”

Banks, 52, and Simmons started their respective modeling careers as teens. The pair formed a close bond while modeling in Paris in the early ‘90s. Simmons reportedly requested Banks to be her roommate while they lived in a model house in Paris.
“She always had the new Prada bag and would laugh at me because mine was from Wal-Mart,” Banks shared of Simmons in a 2004 interview with New York magazine.

As they both broke barriers in the fashion world and rose to fame, their friendship grew stronger.
“I think there was always something about Tyra and I think she saw that in me, too. She came along later than me – I was the youngest girl to model in the history of Chanel I believe,” Simmons said in a March 2013 interview with Hello. “I've gone more in the direction of designing and creating brands, and she did more TV and TV production from the modeling side."

When Kimora welcomed Ming Lee Simmons, 26, with ex Russell Simmons in 2000, she named Banks as her daughter’s godmother. In addition to Ming, Kimora and Russell share daughter Aoki Lee Simmons.
After Kimora separated from Russell in 2006, she moved on with Djimon Hounsou. The pair welcomed son Kenzo in 2009. Kimora and Hounsou separated in 2012. Kimora later wed investment banker Tim Leissner in 2014, welcoming son Wolfe the following year. Kimora and Leissner eventually split in 2022. While married to Leissner, Kimora adopted her son Gary, making her a mother of five.

Banks, for her part, is mother to son York, whom she welcomed via surrogacy with ex Erik Asla after previously struggling with fertility issues.

Rap Pioneer Blondy Of The Sequence Passes Away

Blondy, a founding member of the groundbreaking all-female hip-hop group The Sequence, has passed away. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
The news was confirmed by her fellow group member Cheryl "The Pearl" Cook, who shared the update with the hip-hop community. In a statement, Cheryl expressed her shock and sorrow over the loss of her sister and bandmate.

The Sequence holds a special place in the history of hip-hop as the first all-female rap group to get signed to a major label. Formed in Columbia, South Carolina, in 1979, the group consisted of Blondy, Cheryl "The Pearl" Cook, and Angie B., who would later become known as Angie Stone, a celebrated neo-soul and R&B artist.

The group’s debut single, "Funk You Up," released in 1979 under Sugar Hill Records, was a bold declaration that women had a rightful place in hip-hop from the very beginning. This trailblazing act helped pave the way for future generations of female rappers, well before the rise of names like Salt-N-Pepa, JJ Fad, and City Girls.

The impact of The Sequence on hip-hop culture is profound. They demonstrated that female artists could rap, produce, and command attention on the stage as powerfully as their male counterparts. Their influence opened doors that had long been closed to women in the rap industry.

As the hip-hop world mourns the loss of Blondy, it also reflects on the significant legacy she and her groupmates left behind. This recent passing adds to the sorrow following the death of Angie Stone, who tragically died in a car accident on March 1, 2025, at the age of 63.

Doja Cat Defends Madonna Against Ageist Criticism Over Performances
Madonna has long faced ageist remarks, but recently she gained a vocal advocate in fellow artist Doja Cat. On April 8, Doja Cat took to TikTok to respond to critics telling the pop icon she is "too old" to perform onstage.
In a nearly two-minute selfie-style video, Doja Cat expressed being both "tickled and bothered" by comments urging Madonna to "stop" performing, reacting to clips of the singer actively onstage. The rapper questioned the logic behind telling a musician to quit doing the work they love and are paid for.

"It's interesting to me because, it's like, you're telling a musician who makes music, who performs it as a job, to stop doing it?" she said. Doja Cat then speculated whether the backlash stems from resentment toward an older woman who openly embraces her sexuality and continues to perform confidently.

"Is that why you want her to get off stage? Because you feel threatened by an older woman who can do her job forever?" Doja Cat asked rhetorically. She highlighted that Madonna is doing something she loves, and audiences are paying and enjoying her performances.

Mocking the critics further, Doja Cat suggested that those upset might be harboring personal feelings unknown to others. "Maybe you don't like her performing because you have something personal happening in there that nobody else knows," she said, before breaking into laughter and then apologizing with mock tears.

She wiped away fake tears and added, "It is sad," joking she would cry along with them. "I'm so sorry," she concluded the clip, blending humor with empathy.
Recently, Madonna delivered an intimate live performance at a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Milan. This followed the conclusion of her record-breaking Celebration Tour, which featured sold-out shows across Europe and the Americas and culminated in a free concert on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach, drawing an audience exceeding 1.6 million people.

Meanwhile, Doja Cat most recently performed at the Global Citizen Move Afrika festival in South Africa in March. Her ongoing Tour Ma Vie, supporting her Billboard 200 No. 4 album Vie, will resume on May 19 in Dublin, continuing through Europe before moving to the U.S. The tour is set to conclude on December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The TikTok video by Doja Cat serves as a clear defense of Madonna and a call-out against ageism within the music industry, emphasizing respect for artists who continue to perform regardless of age.

Beyoncé Matches With Her Mom and Blue Ivy at a Secret Cécred Event in Los Angeles
It’s not every day that you see Beyoncé step out for an event, let alone with her mom, Tina Knowles, and eldest child, Blue Ivy, by her side.
But for a private hair show in Los Angeles Tuesday evening, to celebrate the launch of a new styling collection at Cécred, the three generations of women hit the stage in coordinated outfits, which came in varying shades of white (likely as a nod to the creamy packaging that characterizes Beyoncé’s haircare line).

There, Queen Bey herself went for a white, corset-style bodysuit, layered underneath an eggshell blazer and accessorized with strappy heels. Later, she swapped her lingerie-inspired base for a silky midi dress with a scarf-neck detail.
As for Ms. Tina, she went full corporate in a crisp white pantsuit, consisting of a double-breasted blazer and wide-leg pants, which she matched with some milky platform heels.

Finally, 14-year-old Blue made a statement in a strapless bandeau minidress with ruched fabric and a large bow detail around back, with long tails that draped like a train behind her. To complete her fit, Blue chose a pair of matching white heels with a peep-toe detail.

The show was attended by not only Beyoncé and a couple of her family members, but also by other starry figures like Chlöe Bailey and Monaleo. To celebrate the new line of products, part of the evening included a special runway show, with models sporting artistic hairstyles and engaging in various forms of performance art.

In a recent interview with WWD, Beyoncé opened up about the inspiration behind her styling collection, saying: “A lot of these products were designed from a desire to solve my own issues with my hair while on tour. I don’t use relaxers, so I’m very big on protecting the hair from heat damage when I style. Tour weather is unpredictable. Pouring rain, crazy humidity, some shows in 100 degree weather. I’m drenched in sweat and those styles must make it through a three-hour show. I wasn’t finding stylers that could perform at the necessary level without affecting my hair health.”

The record-setting Grammy winner went on to note that she even uses these products on her daughters—Blue and Rumi. “We have put each one of these to the test and I use it on my daughters before everything: blow dry, silk press, braid-out,” she said. “We [even] tested the mousse on my big Texas blowout all the way back in 2024 for the Super Bowl.”

‘Michael’ Ending Changed Over Legal Concerns

The upcoming biopic Michael has undergone a major change, with its original ending scrapped due to legal concerns tied to Michael Jackson’s past allegations.
Early versions of the film reportedly focused on how the 1993 child abuse allegations affected Jackson’s life. According to Variety, one scene showed the King of Pop staring into a mirror as police lights flashed behind him, symbolizing the emotional toll of the controversy. Another sequence depicted investigators searching Neverland Ranch.

However, Lionsgate removed these scenes after attorneys for the Jackson estate cited a settlement clause involving accuser Jordan Chandler. The agreement reportedly prohibits Chandler from being portrayed in the film.
As a result, the film’s ending has been reworked, shifting its narrative direction. The changes highlight the ongoing complexities surrounding Jackson’s legacy as filmmakers balance storytelling with legal boundaries.

Nick Lachey Says 98 Degrees Was Pushed to Become the 'White Jodeci'
When 98 Degrees first signed with Motown Records in 1997, Nick Lachey thought the group had landed its dream deal. Instead, he says the label quickly began steering the band toward an image that did not feel like their own.

In the new Investigation Discovery documentary Boy Band Confidential: A Hollywood Demons Event, Lachey revealed that Motown executives wanted 98 Degrees to become what he described as the “white Jodeci,” a strategy that left the group struggling with its identity.
“The president of Motown, he wanted us to be the white Jodeci,” Lachey says in the documentary, according to People. “So he was trying to give us that in a crash course.”

According to Lachey, that meant being told to attend Black churches in Harlem and travel to work with Jodeci member DeVanté Swing.
One memory in particular stood out. “I remember going on a train to Rochester, New York, to work with DeVanté from Jodeci and we show up and DeVanté is being fitted for a bulletproof vest, in the studio,” Lachey recalled. “And I'm looking around like, ‘Do we need a bulletproof vest? What did we just walk into?’”

Unlike many of their peers, 98 Degrees was not assembled through auditions. Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, and Justin Jeffre formed the group themselves and worked to get noticed by Motown. That made the label’s push to reshape them especially difficult.
“It does make you question, ‘Well, why did you sign us if you didn’t want us to be who we are?’” Lachey says in the documentary. “You’re trying to make us into something else.”

Jeff Timmons said the group felt they had little choice but to follow the label’s plan. “We were a new act. We’re not making any money. We don’t know what the plan is, and this is our shot,” he explained.
But behind the scenes, the pressure was taking a toll. Lachey said the experience “really starts to mess with you mentally,” adding, “You go home and you’re like, ‘What am I? Who am I?’”

Timmons revealed that the stress eventually spiraled into severe depression. He said he began to feel like “the weakest link in the group,” struggled to sleep, and reached a breaking point. “I went to our manager, and I said, ‘I need some help. If I don’t get some sort of help, I will not be here. This is over. And I mean, seriously.’”

After 98 Degrees went on to sell more than 10 million records, Lachey became a reality TV star through Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, launched a solo career with hits like “What’s Left of Me,” and later became one of Netflix’s most recognizable hosts through Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum, and Perfect Match.

Boy Band Confidential: A Hollywood Demons Event premieres April 20 on Investigation Discovery and will stream on HBO Max.

Afroman Wants to Build Micronation on Newly Purchased 195-Acre Property
Afroman has made it known that he wants to build a micronation on a large plot of land he recently purchased.
In a recent interview with Andrew Callaghan, the rapper brought up his new property and what he envisions doing with it. "I bought 195 acres. I want a real hood," he said around the 1:05:30 mark in the video above. "I want a real country that I control, like, my land is my country. I’m the judge. I’m the president. I’m the army. I’m the police."

Callaghan suggested that the self-proclaimed independent nation, known as a micronation, would accomplish these goals, bringing up The Republic of Molossia, which was founded in 1977, initially under the name of Grand Republic of Vuldstein. President Grand Admiral Colonel Doctor Kevin Baugh has been the leader of this micronation in Nevada for nearly three decades.

When asked what rule he would implement for his own micronation, Afroman immediately said he would prohibit the use of the N-word.
"I would like to have a whole bunch of land, to fence it off, and all the Black people that don’t like using the N-word, they don’t refer to their brothers and sisters as the N-word, they don’t want the N-word being said to their children, I would set up a nation for them," he explained.

Afroman added that he would still work with and defend Black people who do not align with these specific views, even though he believes they "contaminate and poison the American Black soul."

"I would create an environment where a young Black person can grow up, know that they are a brother. They are Afro-American," he said. "I would nurture and raise a good citizen, and then I’d let them know, the people outside this fence are gonna address you with the most offensive word in the English language."

"But just know, that’s not you," Afroman continued. "Just know not to do nothing with these type of people. Don’t trust a person that calls you that."
The American flag outfit Afroman was wearing in his interview is the same one he wore in court last month when a jury sided with him in the defamation and invasion of privacy lawsuit filed by sheriff’s deputies following their 2022 raid of his home.

Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox Are Officially Back on 'The Young & The Restless'
Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox are officially back on The Young & The Restless, and the two actors are already building anticipation ahead of their first episodes this week.

In a social media video posted before their April 6 return, Moore celebrated the reunion by saying, “We’re young, restless and reunited,” as he and Fox prepared to step back into Genoa City.
The pair will reprise their longtime roles as Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons in a multi-episode storyline airing on CBS. Their return has been promoted as more than a brief visit, with the show teasing that the reunion will have “lasting implications” for several residents of Genoa City.

Moore’s return continues a long-running relationship with The Young & The Restless. He first joined the daytime drama in 1994 and remained with the series until 2005, becoming one of the show’s most recognizable stars during that period.
Malcolm Winters, the younger half-brother of Neil Winters, has remained an important part of the series even during Moore’s absences. Moore later returned for guest appearances in 2014, 2019, and 2023.

His most recent appearance came during the show’s 50th anniversary celebration, which included a tribute to the late Kristoff St. John, who played Neil Winters.

During that episode, Malcolm looked at a portrait of his brother and said, “When it came to the great Neil Winters, I show up. Whatever it takes.”
Fox’s return carries even more history. The actress has not appeared on The Young & The Restless since 1995, when her character, Dr. Stephanie Simmons, left Genoa City after a one-year run.

Stephanie and Malcolm were romantically involved during that original storyline, making this week’s reunion the first time the characters have shared the screen in more than 30 years.
Fox’s time on the soap also played an important role in launching her film career. In the past, she said her appearance on The Young & The Restless helped her land an audition for Independence Day after a producer’s wife recognized her from the show. Fox eventually secured the role after six callbacks.

The Young & The Restless also recently announced a crossover with Beyond the Gates, which is scheduled to begin in June, according to Deadline.
The Young & The Restless airs weekdays on CBS and streams on Paramount+.

Matthew Perry Death: 'Ketamine Queen' Dealer Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison
Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen," has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry.
Sangha, the 43-year-old who reportedly became notorious for distributing ketamine in North Hollywood, was sentenced Wednesday (April 8) in a Los Angeles courthouse, per TMZ and KABC-TV.

Last year, Sangha pled guilty to five criminal charges, including three counts of ketamine distribution, one count of distributing ketamine resulting in death, and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises.
Prosecutors requested the 15-year sentence, while her lawyers sought time served, as she has been in custody since August 2024. She originally faced a maximum potential sentence of 65 years under her plea agreement.

The New York Times reported on the massive scale of Sangha's operation, noting that Perry's assistant purchased 50 vials of ketamine from her on the actor's behalf. When authorities raided Sangha’s apartment in March 2024, they discovered 79 vials of ketamine, alongside cocaine and three pounds of orange pills containing methamphetamine.

After Sangha learned of Perry's death through the news, she attempted to cover her tracks by instructing an associate to “delete all our messages.”
Perry, known for starring as Chandler Bing in Friends, was found dead in his hot tub in the Pacific Palisades in October 2023. The cause of his death was attributed to the "acute effects of ketamine.” The medical examiner also listed drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine (an opioid) as contributing factors.

Others connected to Perry's death are also facing prison time.
Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who illegally supplied the ketamine, pled guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine and was sentenced to 30 months.

Dr. Mark Chavez, who collaborated with Plasencia to supply the drug at a steep price hike, was sentenced to three years of supervised release—which includes eight months of home detention—and surrendered his medical license.
Finally, Perry's assistant Kenneth Iwasama and another dealer, Erik Fleming, have pled guilty and will be sentenced later this month.
