#RHOA: K. Michelle And Slutty Vegan Founder Pinky Cole Join 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' For Season 17
Bravo is refreshing the peach roster. When The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns for its 17th season on April 5, the franchise will introduce two new full-time Housewives with very different résumés but equally loud reputations: Platinum-selling R&B singer and songwriter K. Michelle and Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole.

If the casting signals anything, it’s that Bravo wants Season 17 to feel like a reset. Season 16 was viral, (for all the wrong reasons,) so the two new ladies will hopefully shake some things up. K. Michelle arrives with a reality-TV pedigree from Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta and a reputation for shaking the table—literally. The Grammy-nominated singer is entering a new professional and personal chapter, pursuing a long-held dream in country music while balancing marriage, motherhood and the demands of a career pivot that has the music industry watching. In Atlanta, bold opinions travel fast, and her famously unfiltered commentary is sure to make waves among the group.

Pinky Cole joins the franchise from the business world. As founder and CEO of Slutty Vegan, the Atlanta-based plant-based restaurant empire has grown into a multimillion-dollar business with locations across the country. Her storyline will follow the restaurateur as she balances life as a CEO, wife and mother of five while continuing to expand the brand she built.

The newcomers will join returning cast members Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley and Kelli Ferrell. Former Housewife Cynthia Bailey will also appear throughout the season as a friend of the show.
The upcoming season follows several cast members entering new chapters in their personal and professional lives. Williams appears on the show after finalizing her divorce and exploring dating again, while Parks returns to the group balancing her legal career, motherhood and a busy professional schedule. Sidora continues navigating her acting and music career alongside raising her children.

Elsewhere in the group, Morton Mwangi pursues a new business venture with the launch of her own rum brand while continuing her fertility journey. Oakley focuses on rebuilding friendships while navigating family challenges and ongoing rumors within the group, and Ferrell expands her restaurant business as her eldest daughter prepares to leave for college.

Season 17 will follow the women as friendships shift, new alliances form and longstanding tensions resurface among the group.
The new season will premiere Sunday, April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock

#NewMusic from Mýa Releases Video For Latest Single “ASAP”
Grammy-winning artist Mýa has officially premiered the music video for her latest single, “ASAP,” marking the next phase of her independent career as she moves toward a landmark tenth studio  album.

Directed by City James and produced by Basewood Productions, the visual debuted on Valentine’s Day. The video aims to mirror the track’s themes of emotional urgency and direct communication, utilizing a sleek aesthetic that emphasizes the singer’s long-standing reputation for technical precision and choreographed control.

“ASAP,” a mid-tempo fusion of soul, funk, and contemporary R&B, was co-produced by Mýa alongside Lamar “MyGuyMars” Edwards. The single serves as the lead-in for her upcoming album, Retrospect, scheduled for a Spring 2026 release.

The project will be distributed via her independent label, Planet 9, in partnership with Virgin Music. Retrospect marks Mýa’s first full-length studio effort in eight years and features high-profile collaborations with artists including 21 Savage and Joyner Lucas.

The rollout follows a prolific 2025 for the singer-songwriter, which saw her celebrating the 25th anniversary of her sophomore album, Fear of Flying. Recent career highlights include:

Despite the focus on her catalog milestones, industry analysts note that Mýa’s trajectory remains centered on artistic ownership. Having founded Planet 9 long before independence became a standard industry pursuit, Mýa continues to operate as a self-managed entity, prioritizing creative evolution over nostalgia.

#HipHopNews: Wu Tang Clan Co-Founder And Cultural Architect Oliver “Power” Grant Passes Away At 52

The Hip Hop world has lost one of its foundational architects.
Oliver “Power” Grant, the visionary executive, entrepreneur, filmmaker and co-founder of the Wu-Tang Clan brand, has passed away at the age of 52. His death marks the loss of one of the key figures who helped transform a Staten Island rap collective into a global cultural institution.

Power was far more than a behind-the-scenes manager. He was one of the original architects of the Wu-Tang business blueprint, heavily investing in the movement alongside Mitchell “Divine” Diggs during its earliest and most uncertain days. While RZA crafted the sonic universe and the Clan sharpened its lyrical swords, Power helped build the infrastructure that allowed Wu-Tang to operate as both a group and a brand.

In an era when Hip Hop business models were still evolving, Power believed Wu-Tang could be more than music. He saw merchandise, film, fashion and ownership as extensions of the culture. That vision materialized in Wu Wear, the groundbreaking clothing line he created during the Clan’s commercial apex in the late 1990s.

Wu Wear was not simply artist merchandise. It was one of the first artist-driven urban fashion brands to scale globally, landing in major department stores while remaining rooted in street authenticity. At a time when luxury houses had not yet embraced Hip Hop, Wu Wear put the “W” logo into malls, music videos and neighborhoods across America. It helped establish the blueprint that artists today follow when turning their brands into lifestyle empires.

Power’s entrepreneurial instincts extended into film. He appeared in Hype Williams’ 1998 cult classic Belly, portraying “Knowledge Born” alongside DMX and Nas. The film remains a visual staple of late 90s Hip Hop cinema, and Power’s presence reinforced his deep ties to the culture beyond music management. He later appeared in James Toback’s 1999 drama Black and White, starring Brooke Shields, Robert Downey Jr. and Mike Tyson, further cementing his footprint in film during a period when Hip Hop was expanding its reach into Hollywood.

Behind the scenes, Power was instrumental in Wu-Tang’s expansion strategy. During the group’s meteoric rise following Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Wu-Tang Forever, he worked to ensure the brand moved cohesively across music, fashion and media. He was part of the nucleus that believed ownership mattered long before that became a universal industry mantra.

For many within the culture, Power represented the bridge between street vision and corporate execution. He understood both worlds and navigated them unapologetically. His work helped define how Hip Hop crews could function as businesses without losing authenticity.
Those who knew him personally describe him as driven, fearless and deeply committed to the Wu legacy. His contributions helped establish Wu-Tang Clan not just as a rap group, but as a franchise, a movement and a lasting global brand.

At 52, his passing feels premature for a man whose fingerprints are permanently etched into Hip Hop’s business evolution. The Wu-Tang Clan changed the way artists approached contracts, branding and independence. Oliver “Power” Grant was one of the men who helped make that possible.
His legacy lives on in every Wu logo worn, every independent artist building their own infrastructure, and every conversation about ownership in Hip Hop.

Rest in Power

Kenya Moore Hair Spa Must Pay 87,000 to Landlord for back rent!
Things have officially gone from bad to worse at Kenya Moore‘s hair spa. Real Housewives of Atlanta fans watched her open the business in Season 16, only for it to be overshadowed by a notorious series of poster boards that may or may not have featured nude images of Brit Eady.
After that disaster, Kenya’s landlord wound up suing her. He accused her of owing $44k in rent, dating back to December 2024, with the amount climbing each day. Kenya’s lawyers tried to dispute the claim, but unfortunately, things didn’t go in her favor.

After facing accusations of failing to pay rent on the hair spa, Kenya clapped back with accusations of her own. She said that the landlord reneged on a plan to make renovations to the space. Kenya argued that she had to use her own money to transform the space into what we saw on TV.
In the court docs, she said renovations were necessary to make it “usable and to be occupied for its intended use.” The landlord was supposed to reimburse her, which never happened. However, the landlord said she was still on the hook for rent.

According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, a Georgia judge sided with the landlord. Her company, Moore Vision Media, has to pay $43,988 by the end of this month, along with another $43,988.67 by late March. That brings the total amount owed to $87,976. Can you imagine how many blowouts they would need to do at the hair spa to cover that?
Additionally, the judge said that Kenya needed to resume paying her monthly rent. That’s around $5,500 a month. If she doesn’t pay, she’ll need to vacate the premises.

Allegedly, things are already off to a shaky start following the court order. The landlord said she missed the February deadline for the first payment. As a result, they have asked the court to evict her from the property, but a decision hasn’t been made just yet.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on Sunday, April 5, at 8/7c. You can always stream it on Peacock.

Met Gala 2026: Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams among co-chairs

You certainly do not have to tell Beyonce this: fashion, when deployed properly, is nothing less than art.
Now, the fashion-forward superstar will have another chance to make the point. When she co-chairs the Met Gala in May, all eyeballs will be glued to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see how one of the most watched women on the planet, in her eighth gala appearance, interprets the dress code: “Fashion is Art”.

The museum announced the dress code on February 23, along with some gala-related details, including new guest names. Joining the top co-chairs – Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, tennis champ Venus Williams and ex-Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour – is a “host committee” chaired by designer Anthony Vaccarello and filmmaker Zoë Kravitz.
They, and everyone else attending, will be figuring out what to wear come May 4. The code seems to have been chosen for maximum flexibility. And, says Andrew Bolton, curator of the Met’s Costume Institute: “Hopefully, it will put an end to the rather obsolete ‘is fashion art?’ debate once and for all.”

For Bolton, though, the show’s the thing, to paraphrase Hamlet. As gala-watchers know, the big party is not only a fundraiser for the institute – a self-funding department – but a launch pad for the annual spring fashion exhibit. Curated by Bolton and his team, this year’s show, “Costume Art”, seeks to present fashion as a through-line in the entire history of art.

The exhibition will be the biggest, in terms of objects, that the institute has ever done: nearly 400 in total, or 200 garments and 200 artworks from around the museum, placed in pairs.
The idea, Bolton says, is to examine “the dressed body” in all its aspects, and to make the point that not only is fashion art – something previous shows have demonstrated – but that art is fashion.

“It’s reversing what we’ve done before,” Bolton says. “Now we’re looking at art through the lens of fashion.”
What that means, in practice, is that you might see an art object in a glass case – say, a vase from ancient Greece. Displayed above the case will be a garment from the museum’s vast costume collection, echoing the fashion on figures in that vase.

The show also aims to enable viewers to see themselves in some of the fashions. Thus, mannequins will feature heads with polished steel surfaces – as in mirrors – designed by artist Samar Hejazi.

Bolton, who has curated the Met’s biggest costume shows, nonetheless says he felt special pressure here to do “something spectacular”. That is because “Costume Art” is inaugurating, with fanfare, a prominent new home for the museum’s fashion exhibitions. The new Conde M. Nast Galleries – created from what was formerly the museum’s retail store – will occupy nearly 12,000 sq ft (1,115 square metres) off the museum’s Great Hall.

For one thing, that will mean gala guests can now conveniently view the exhibit and then stroll easily to the dinner portion of the evening at the Temple of Dendur – or toggle between the two. A more lasting result: it will prevent snaking queues elsewhere in the museum, once the show opens to the public on May 10 (it runs until January 10, 2027).

For “Costume Art”, the galleries, still being completed, consist of two main rooms with different heights – one with an 18-foot (5.5-metre) ceiling, one with a nine-foot ceiling. The idea is for viewers to weave in and out of each space. “There’s a permeability,” Bolton says.

He calls the new show already one of the highlights of his career – and a statement of intent.
“We’re trying to make a statement here – that this is something we can do at the Met,” he explains. “We have access to 16 curatorial departments across the museum.” And, of course, access to the institute’s more than 33,000 garments. “Really, nobody else has this capacity,” he says.

He hopes the show will inaugurate not only new galleries, but an era of collaboration with the rest of the museum – one that puts fashion, well, forward.

Savannah Guthrie shares new video offering $1 million reward in search for mom Nancy Guthrie
The family of Nancy Guthrie is offering $1 million for information leading to her “recovery” as the search for the 84-year-old has now entered its fourth week.
Savannah Guthrie announced the reward on Tuesday in an Instagram video.
“It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed,” the Today show cohost said. “And every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then of worrying for her, fearing for her, aching for her, and most of all just missing her, just missing her.”

She said the family is holding out hope that Nancy Guthrie is found alive, but acknowledged may already be dead.
“We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” Savannah Guthrie said. “We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone.

“If this is what is to be, then we will all accept it,” Guthrie added. “But we need to know where she is. For that reason, we are offering a familial reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at around 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 31, when she was dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson, Ariz., by family members following dinner, police said. She was reported missing around noon the next day after she did not show up at a friend’s house to watch an online church service.

Authorities are still waiting on results from an analysis of partial DNA recovered from Nancy Guthrie’s home. In a statement on Saturday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that “this will remain an active investigation until Nancy Guthrie is found or all leads are exhausted.”
Officials say they have received tens of thousands of tips since the investigation into her disappearance began. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department tip line at 520-351-4900 or the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

#FRIVLOUS Don Lemon Sued By Minnesota Churchgoer Who Claims Protest Disrupted Worship & Caused ‘Severe Emotional Distress’

A Minnesota woman is taking legal action against Don Lemon, claiming his involvement in a church protest caused her significant emotional harm.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Ann Doucette says she was attending a worship service at The Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on January 18 when she alleges Lemon and others “unlawfully interfered” with her ability to “freely exercise her religion in a private place of worship.”

The protest followed the d*ath of Renee Good and was aimed at confronting Cities Church pastor David Easterwood, who is also identified as a Minneapolis ICE official.
In her lawsuit, Doucette is seeking unspecified damages, alleging she suffered “severe emotional distress, fear, anxiety, and trauma” due to the demonstrators’ actions. She further claims Lemon worked alongside the protest group and that one individual admitted on social media to assisting him with “logistics and local contacts in support of the operation.” The filing also alleges Lemon “appeared to take satisfaction in the disruption” while livestreaming portions of the protest.

Lemon has maintained he was exercising his First Amendment rights as a journalist. He was arrested January 29 and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Tyra Banks Demands More Than $50,000 In Sanctions Against D.C. Landlord Who Sued Her For Allegedly Backing Out Of Ice Cream Shop Lease Without Warning
Tyra Banks is now seeking more than $50,000 in sanctions against her former business partner, claiming she should not have had to defend herself in court over a commercial lease dispute.
In legal filings obtained by TMZ, Tyra’s legal team called the lawsuit a “celebrity shakedown”, arguing the case was meritless and forced her to incur unnecessary legal costs. The demand for sanctions comes after a lengthy dispute with building owner Christopher Powell, who previously sued Tyra over an abandoned ice cream shop lease.

The conflict began with a 10?year lease for a Washington, D.C., property tied to Tyra’s Smize & Dream ice cream brand. Powell said he turned down other tenants and invested thousands in prepping the space before Tyra and her boyfriend. However, according to Powell, the couple ultimately backed out of the deal, and instead opened a location in Sydney, Australia, and stopped paying rent. Powell originally sought more than $2.8 million in damages and later upped his demand to $2.9 million, but ultimately voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit in December. Tyra denies any wrongdoing and is now pushing back against what she sees as an attempt to extract money from her.

Lil Kim Says 'Notorious' Was ‘Inaccurate,’ Says Her Own Movie Is ‘Coming’

Lil Kim has revealed that she’s working on a movie about her career due to her “inaccurate” portrayal in the 2009 Notorious B.I.G. biopic, Notorious.
Kim was a guest on Nick Cannon’s Big Drive interview series and went in depth about her legacy, detailing why she wants to rectify the “inaccurate” depiction of her in Biggie’s biopic.

“[Notorious] was not accurate,” she said. “A lot of it was not accurate. I’m going to show everybody [what really happened between me and Biggie] in the Lil Kim movie because it’s coming.”
Doubling down on the project by saying it’s “100% in the works,” the legendary rapper suggested it might lean toward being a documentary instead of a biopic.

Back in 2021, Kim gave some details about how she wanted her story being told to her fans. “I want people to know the real Kim,” she said. “All the stories that everybody else tells, chile, don’t listen to it.”
The rapper also revealed who she would want to play as her in a film about her life. “It can only be a girl that’s from the hood that I’m from,” she revealed before naming her surprise pick of actress. “I love Teyana, she’s my only other thought.”

“There’s nobody else in the industry at all, but Teyana,” Kim continued. “But even before Teyana — I love Teyana, but she’s from Harlem — before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect.”
Back to her Big Drive appearance, Kim explained why she “can’t stand my fans sometimes.”
“I hate them ‘cause they don't get it,” she added. “I really feel like some of them—and I'm not talking to all of them, obviously—but like the ones that think they know me, think they control me, think that they know best for me.”

No One From the BAFTAs Spoke to Delroy Lindo After the N-Word Controversy
At the BAFTA Awards on Sunday Tourette syndrome sufferer, John Davidson, shouted the n-word while Sinners stars Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan were presenting the first award of the evening

Lindo claims nobody from the BAFTAs approached him or Michael to apologize after the incident...
At the Warner Bros. after-party following the ceremony, Lindo told Vanity Fair that he and Jordan “did what we had to do” while presenting—but that he also wished “someone from BAFTA spoke to us afterward.”

Though the BAFTAs aired on a tape delay, the slur was nevertheless included in the broadcast.
A BBC spokesperson told The Times, “Some viewers may have heard strong and offensive language during the BAFTA Film Awards. This arose from involuntary verbal tics associated with Tourette syndrome, and as explained during the ceremony it was not intentional. We apologize that this was not edited out prior to broadcast and it will now be removed.”

Al Green Removed from Chamber During Donald Trump's Statue of the Union While Holding Sign Saying 'Black People Aren't Apes'

For the second year in a row, Rep. Al Green has been escorted out of the House chamber while President Donald Trump addresses Congress.
Trump is giving his State of the Union address at Capitol Hill on Tuesday (February 24). The congressman could be seen unfurling and then holding up a sign reading “Black People Aren’t Apes.”

The statement appears to be referencing the racist video Trump shared to Truth Social earlier this month that depicted former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.
According to AP News, the House Sergeant at Arms escorted Green from the chamber only a few minutes into the address. The outlet says a few Republicans had begun to chant “USA” before his exit.
